ABSTRACT Introduction: We aim to compare the safety and effectiveness of the KangDuo (KD)-Surgical Robot-01 (KD-SR-01) system and the da Vinci (DV) system for robot-assisted radical nephroureterectomy (RARNU). Materials and Methods: This multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted between March 2022 and September 2023. Group 1 included 29 patients undergoing KD-RARNU. Group 2 included 29 patients undergoing DV-RARNU. Patient demographic and clinical characteristics, perioperative data, and follow-up outcomes were collected prospectively and compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in patient baseline demographic and preoperative characteristics between the two groups. The success rates in both groups were 100% without conversion to open or laparoscopic surgery or positive surgical margins. No significant difference was observed in docking time [242 (120-951) s vs 253 (62-498) s, P = 0.780], console time [137 (55-290) min vs 105 (62-220) min, P = 0.114], operative time [207 (121-460) min vs 185 (96-305) min, P = 0.091], EBL [50 (10-600) mL vs 50 (10-700) mL, P = 0.507], National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index scores, and postoperative serum creatinine levels between the two groups. None of the patients showed evidence of distant metastasis, local recurrence, or equipment-related adverse events during the four-week follow-up. One (3.4%) patient in Group 2 experienced postoperative enterovaginal and enterovesical fistulas (Clavien-Dindo grade III). Conclusions: The KD-SR-01 system is safe and effective for RARNU compared to the DV Si or Xi system. Further randomized controlled studies with larger sample sizes and longer durations are required. The simultaneous use of titanium and silicon catalysts is effective in reducing the activity of a single titanium catalytic base agent. Abstract Background: The authors aim to investigate the effect of music on hemodynamic fluctuations during induction of general anesthesia and reducing preoperative anxiety for women who underwent elective non-cardiac surgery. Methods: It is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, parallel-group clinical trial. Patients were randomized 1:1 to either a Music Intervention group (MI) or a Control group (Control). The MI participants listened to their preferred music for more than 30 minutes in the waiting area. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was used to measure anxiety levels in the groups, and hemodynamic parameters (Heart Rate [HR], Mean Arterial Pressure [MAP]) were continuously recorded before induction (T0), at loss of consciousness (T1), immediately before intubation (T2), and after intubation (T3). Intubation-related adverse events were also recorded. The primary outcome was the incidence of MAP changes more than 20 % above baseline during T0-T2. Results: A total of 164 patients were included in the final analyses. The incidence of MAP instability during T0-T2 was lower in the MI, and the 95 % Confidence Interval for the rate difference demonstrated the superiority of MI. HR instability was less frequent in MI participants both in T0-T2 and T2-T3. The overall incidence of preopera-tive anxiety was 53.7 % (88/164). After the music intervention, the mean score of STAI was significantly lower in the MI than in the Control, with a between-group difference of 8.01. Abstract Background With the fast-paced advancements of robot technology, human–robot interaction (HRI) has become increasingly popular and complex, and self-efficacy in HRI has received extensive attention. Despite its popularity, this topic remains understudied in China. Objective In order to provide a psychometrically sound instrument in China, this study aimed to translate and validate the Self-Efficacy in Human–Robot Interaction Scale (SE-HRI) in two Chinese adult samples (N1 = 300, N2 = 500). Methods The data was analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and Amos 24.0. Item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were conducted using Sample 1 data. Confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-related validity analysis, and reliability analysis were then performed using Sample 2 data. Results The results revealed that the Chinese SE-HRI scale consisted of 13 items in a two-factor model, suggesting a good model fit. Moreover, general self-efficacy and willingness to accept the use of artificial intelligence (AI) were both positively correlated with self-efficacy in HRI, while negative attitudes toward robots showed an inverse correlation, proving the Chinese SE-HRI scale exhibited excellent criterion-related validity. Forkhead Box O1 (FOXO1) has been reported to play important roles in many tumors. However, FOXO1 has not been studied in pan-cancer. The purpose of this study was to reveal the roles of FOXO1 in pan-cancer (33 cancers in this study). Through multiple public platforms, a pan-cancer analysis of FOXO1 was conducted to obtained FOXO1 expression profiles in various tumors to explore the relationship between FOXO1 expression and prognosis of these tumors and to disclose the potential mechanism of FOXO1 in these tumors. FOXO1 was associated with the prognosis of multiple tumors, especially LGG (low grade glioma), OV (ovarian carcinoma), and KIRC (kidney renal clear cell carcinoma). FOXO1 might play the role of an oncogenic gene in LGG and OV, while playing the role of a cancer suppressor gene in KIRC. FOXO1 expression had a significant correlation with the infiltration of some immune cells in LGG, OV, and KIRC. By combining FOXO1 expression and immune cell infiltration, we found that FOXO1 might influence the overall survival of LGG through the infiltration of myeloid dendritic cells or CD4+ T cells. Abstract Background & aims The authors assess the diagnostic accuracy of the Transient Elastography-Controlled Attenuation Parameter (TE-CAP) in children of Southern China. Methods 105 obese or overweight children and adolescents were enrolled in the diagnostic test of TE-CAP assessment of hepatic steatosis using MRI-PDFF. Hepatic steatosis grades S0-S3 were classified. Statistical correlation, agreement and consistency between methods were evaluated. The diagnostic efficiency of TE-CAP was evaluated. The authors used the cutoff value of TE-CAP to detect hepatic steatosis in another 356 children. Results The Area Under Curve (AUC) of TE-CAP for grade ≥ S1, ≥ S2, and ≥ S3 steatosis were 0.975, 0.984, and 0.997, respectively. For detecting ≥ S1 steatosis, TE-CAP had a sensitivity of 96 % and a specificity of 97 %. For detecting ≥ S2 steatosis, TE-CAP had a sensitivity of 97 % and a specificity of 93 %. ABSTRACT Intelligent apple-harvesting robots use a staggered distribution of branches and leaves during operation, causing problems such as slow motion planning, low operational efficiency, and high path cost for multi-degrees-of-freedom (DOF) harvesting manipulators. This study presents an autonomous apple-harvesting robotic arm-hand composite system that aims to improve the operational efficiency of intelligent harvesting in dwarf anvil-planted apple orchards. The machine vision system for fruit detection uses the deep learning convolutional neural network (CNN) YOLOv7 and RGB-D camera online detection coupling technology to rapidly recognise apples. The spatial depth information of the fruit area was then extracted from the aligned depth image for precise positioning. Coordinate transformation was used to obtain the coordinates of the fruit under the coordinate system of the manipulator. Based on the informed rapid-exploration random tree (Informed-RRT*) algorithm and path-planning model, the identified target apples were harvested without collision path planning. In an apple-harvesting test, the recognition accuracy of the visual system was 89.4%, and the average time to harvest a single apple was 9.69 s, which was 4.8% faster than the mainstream general harvesting technology. Moreover, the harvesting time for a single apple was reduced by 1.7%. Resumo Antecedentes O diagnóstico precoce da doença de Alzheimer (DA) e do comprometimento cognitivo leve (CCL) continua sendo um desafio significativo na neurologia, com métodos convencionais frequentemente limitados pela subjetividade e variabilidade na interpretação. A integração da aprendizagem profunda com a inteligência artificial (IA) na análise de imagens de ressonância magnética surge como uma abordagem transformadora, oferecendo o potencial para insights diagnósticos imparciais e altamente precisos. Objetivo Uma metanálise foi projetada para analisar a precisão diagnóstica do aprendizado profundo de imagens de ressonância magnética em modelos de DA e CCL. Métodos Uma metanálise foi realizada nos bancos de dados das bibliotecas PubMed, Embase e Cochrane seguindo as diretrizes Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), com foco na precisão diagnóstica do aprendizado profundo. Abstract Background The early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) remains a significant challenge in neurology, with conventional methods often limited by subjectivity and variability in interpretation. Integrating deep learning with artificial intelligence (AI) in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) analysis emerges as a transformative approach, offering the potential for unbiased, highly accurate diagnostic insights. Objective A meta-analysis was designed to analyze the diagnostic accuracy of deep learning of MRI images on AD and MCI models. Methods A meta-analysis was performed across PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane library databases following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, focusing on the diagnostic accuracy of deep learning. Subsequently, methodological quality was assessed using the QUADAS-2 checklist. Diagnostic measures, including sensitivity, specificity, likelihood ratios, diagnostic odds ratio, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) were analyzed, alongside subgroup analyses for T1-weighted and non-T1-weighted MRI. Results A total of 18 eligible studies were identified. The Spearman correlation coefficient was -0.6506. Meta-analysis showed that the combined sensitivity and specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, and diagnostic odds ratio were 0.84, 0.86, 6.0, 0.19, and 32, respectively. The AUROC was 0.92. The quiescent point of hierarchical summary of receiver operating characteristic (HSROC) was 3.463. Pyroptosis has attracted attention due to its role in various cancers. Recently, gasdermins (GSDMs) involved in pyroptosis have been reported to be associated with several types of cancers. However, the role of GSDMs expression in the diagnosis and prognosis of gastric cancer (GC) is still not well understood. We analyzed the transcriptional and prognostic information and the role of GSDMs in patients with GC from TIMER, UALCAN, Human Protein Atlas (HPA), GEPIA, and Kaplan-Meier Plotter databases. The cBioPortal platform was used to discover the genetic alterations, significance, and networks of GSDMs. Furthermore, STRING, Cytoscape, and TIMER were used to explore functional enrichment and immunomodulation. GSDMB, GSDMC, GSDMD, and GSDME were more highly expressed in GC than in normal tissues in the TIMER database. Moreover, survival analyses in two databases showed that high expression of GSDME was related to shorter overall survival (OS) in patients with GC. Additionally, functional enrichment revealed that GSDMs may be involved in endopeptidase activity, peptidase regulatory activity, and cysteine peptidase activity. GSDMs correlated with infiltration levels of immune cells in GC, and GSDME correlated with the infiltrating level of CD4+ T, CD8+ T, neutrophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Abstract Background Helicase for meiosis 1 (HFM1), a putative DNA helicase expressed in germ-line cells, has been reported to be closely associated with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). However, the underlying molecular mechanism has not been clearly elucidated. The aim of this study was to investigate the function of HFM1 in the first meiotic prophase of mouse oocytes. Results The results suggested that the deficiency of HFM1 resulting in increased apoptosis and depletion of oocytes in mice, while the oocytes were arrested in the pachytene stage of the first meiotic prophase. In addition, impaired DNA double-strand break repair and disrupted synapsis were observed in the absence of HFM1. Further investigation revealed that knockout of HFM1 promoted ubiquitination and degradation of FUS protein mediated by FBXW11. Additionally, the depletion of HFM1 altered the intranuclear localization of FUS and regulated meiotic- and oocyte development-related genes in oocytes by modulating the expression of BRCA1. This study provided insights into the pathogenesis of POI and highlighted the importance of HFM1 in maintaining proper meiotic function in mouse oocytes.

Abstract Introduction: nutritional status and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have been found to be associated with prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Objectives: to evaluate the association between nutritional status and PLR in patients with HCC undergoing TACE. Methods: a total of 152 HCC patients received TACE were enrolled. The nutritional status was evaluated by Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment (PG-SGA). Patients with PG-SGA A and PG-SGA (B or C) were classified as the well-nourished and malnourished groups. Results: according to the PG-SGA, 130 (85.5 %) patients were malnourished. The median PLR was significantly different between well-nourished and malnourished groups (p = 0.008). A positive correlation was found between PLR and PG-SGA score (r = -0.265, p = 0.001). The optimal PLR cutoff value was 102.165 to predict malnutrition, with a sensitivity of 65.4 %, specificity of 72.7 %, and an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.677 (95 % confidence interval (CI): 0.550-0.804; p = 0.008). A logistic stepwise regression model showed that the PLR was associated with nutritional status in Model 1 without adjustment, as well as if adjusted by age, sex, type of TACE (c-TACE/DEB-TACE) and Child–Pugh stage (odds ratio, 0.190; 95 % CI: 0.062-0.582; p = 0.004). Conclusions: nutritional status measured by PG-SGA was significantly associated with PLR in patients with HCC undergoing TACE.

Resumen Introducción: se ha encontrado que el estado nutricional y el índice plaquetas-linfocitos (PLR) se asocian con el pronóstico en pacientes con carcinoma hepatocelular (CHC) sometidos a quimioembolización transarterial (TACE). Objetivos: evaluar la asociación entre el estado nutricional y la PLR en pacientes con CHC sometidos a TACE. Métodos: se evaluaron 152 pacientes con CHC que recibieron TACE. El estado nutricional fue evaluado por Evaluación Global Subjetiva Generada por el Paciente (PG-SGA). Los pacientes con PG-SGA A y PG-SGA (B o C) se clasificaron como los grupos bien nutridos y desnutridos. Resultados: según la PG-SGA, 130 (85,5 %) pacientes estaban desnutridos. La mediana de PLR fue significativamente diferente entre los grupos bien nutridos y desnutridos (p = 0,008). Se encontró una correlación positiva entre PLR y la puntuación PG-SGA (r = -0,265, p = 0,001). El valor de corte óptimo de PLR fue de 102,165 para predecir la malnutrición, con una sensibilidad del 65,4 %, una especificidad del 72,7 % y un área bajo la curva (AUC) de 0,677 (intervalo de confianza [IC] del 95 %: 0,550-0,804; p = 0,008). Abstract Objective: to explore the association between serum vitamin D level and the occurrence and pathological grade of gastric cancer. Material and methods: search PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane and Chinese database; all articles about the association between serum vitamin D levels and gastric cancer published before July 2021. Results: 10 trials with 1159 cases of gastric cancer patients and 33,387 cases of regular control patients were analyzed. The serum vitamin D level of the gastric cancer group (15.56 ± 7.46 ng/ml) was lower than in the control group (17.60 ± 1.61 ng/ml), and the difference was statistically significant. The patients with gastric cancer, clinical stage III/IV (16.19 ± 8.04 ng/ml) had lower vitamin D levels than those with stage I/II (19.61 ± 9.61 ng/ml), and the patients with low differentiation of gastric cancer (17.5 ± 9.5 ng/ml) had lower levels than those with well- or moderately-differentiated cancer (18.04 ± 7.92 ng/ml). The patients with lymph node metastasis (19.41 ± 8.63 ng/ml) had lower vitamin D levels than the patients without lymph node metastasis (20.65 ± 7.96 ng/ml), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: vitamin D levels were negatively associated with gastric cancer. Vitamin D levels were significantly associated with different clinical stages, degrees of differentiation, and lymph node metastasis, suggesting that low vitamin D levels might predict poor prognosis in gastric cancer.

Resumen Objetivo: investigar la asociación entre los niveles de vitamina D en suero y la carcinogénesis gástrica y su clasificación patológica. Material y métodos: se buscaron en las bases de datos PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane y China todos los artículos sobre la asociación entre los niveles séricos de vitamina D y el cáncer gástrico publicados antes de julio de 2021. Resultados: se analizaron diez datos de 1159 pacientes con cáncer gástrico y 33.387 pacientes normales de control. El nivel de vitamina D en suero del grupo (15,56 ± 7,46 ng/ml) de cáncer gástrico era inferior al del grupo de control (16,19 ± 8,04 ng/ml), y la diferencia era estadísticamente significativa. En los pacientes con cáncer gástrico en estadio clínico III/IV (16,19 ± 8,04 ng/ml) era inferior al de los pacientes en estadio I/II (19,61 ± 9,61 ng/ml) y en los pacientes con cáncer de estómago poco diferenciado (17,5 ± 9,5 ng/ml) era menor que en los pacientes con cáncer bien o moderadamente diferenciado (18,04 ± 7,92 ng/ml); en los pacientes con metástasis en ganglios linfáticos (19,41 ± 8,63 ng/ml) era inferior al de los pacientes sin metástasis en ganglios linfáticos (20,65 ± 7,96 ng/ml), siendo la diferencia estadísticamente significativa. Conclusión: los niveles de vitamina D se correlacionaron negativamente con el cáncer gástrico. Los niveles de vitamina D se asociaron significativamente a los diferentes estadios clínicos, el grado de diferenciación y la metástasis en ganglios linfáticos, lo que sugiere que los niveles bajos de vitamina D pueden ser un factor de predicción de mal pronóstico en el cáncer gástrico.

ABSTRACT Introduction: New-onset postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is a common complication following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery. Objective: To explore predictive factors and potential mechanisms of new-onset POAF in isolated off-pump CABG patients. Methods: Retrospective observational case-control study of 233 patients undergoing isolated off-pump CABG surgery between August 2018 and July 2020 at the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School. Associations between predictor variables and new-onset POAF were identified. The main outcome was new-onset POAF after CABG surgery. Results: A total of 75 (32.19%) patients developed new-onset POAF after CABG surgery. The new-onset POAF patients had advanced age, higher baseline systolic blood pressure, more preoperative use of diuretic drug, more transfusion of blood products, atrial dilation and postoperative positive inotropic drug treatment. Nineteen variates entered the multivariable logistic regression model with a Hosmer-Lemeshow test score of 7.565 (P=0.477). Postoperative left atrial enlargement, postoperative drainage in the first 24 hours and total length of hospital stay were statistically significant, while postoperative right atrial enlargement (OR and 95% CI, 7.797 [0.200, 304.294], P=0.272) and left atrial enlargement (3.524 [1.141, 10.886], P=0.029) assessed by echocardiography had the largest OR value. Conclusion: Atrial enlargement is strongly associated with new-onset POAF in patients with isolated off-pump CABG, thus it highlights the advantage of echocardiography as a useful tool for predicting new-onset POAF. Careful monitoring and timely intervention should be considered for these patients. RESUMO Introdução: O exercício físico é a forma mais eficaz de melhorar a aptidão física. Pode-se alcançar o efeito do bem-estar e da boa forma física por meio da prática de exercícios físicos. A corrida é um método relativamente comum de exercício físico. Ele desempenha um papel significativo na melhora da aptidão física. Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar as características dos movimentos das extremidades inferiores durante a corrida. Os resultados deste estudo podem proporcionar melhores planejamentos de exercícios para os corredores. Métodos: Este trabalho seleciona vários corredores como o objeto de pesquisa. Os sujeitos começaram a correr após anexar um adesivo com sensor detector de movimento em seu corpo. Em seguida, este trabalho coletou dados cinemáticos. Os dados cinemáticos incluem os ângulos articulares e a amplitude de movimento (ROM) das articulações do quadril, joelho e tornozelo. Resultados: Não houve diferença significativa na distribuição do pico de aceleração tibial, pressão plantar e pressão máxima dos atletas sob diferentes materiais de pista (P>0,05). ABSTRACT Introduction: Exercise is the most effective way to improve physical fitness. One can achieve the effect of wellness and fitness through scientific exercise. Running is a relatively common method of physical exercise. It plays a significant role in improving physical fitness. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of lower extremity movements during running. The results of this study may provide better exercise planning for runners. Methods: This paper selects several runners as the research subject. The subjects started running after attaching a motion detector sensor patch to their body. Then, this paper collected kinematic data. The kinematic data includes the joint angles and range of motion (ROM) of the hip, knee, and ankle joints. Results: There was no significant difference in the distribution of peak tibial acceleration, plantar pressure, and maximum pressure of athletes under different track materials (P>0.05). There was a significant age difference between the hip and knee joints of the athletes in the overhead stage (P<0.05). Conclusion: There may not be a necessary connection between ground and lower limb impact in running athletes. Objetivo: Este estudio tiene como objetivo investigar las características de los movimientos de las extremidades inferiores durante la carrera. Los resultados de este estudio pueden proporcionar una mejor planificación del ejercicio para los corredores. Métodos: Este trabajo selecciona a varios corredores como objeto de investigación. Abstract The current developmental trend is to evaluate the quality of Yongchuan Xiuya tea rapidly. After spectrum pre-processing, near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) coupled with synergy interval partial least squares (siPLS), principal component analysis (PCA) and back propagation-artificial neural network (BP-ANN) was applied to rapidly and non-destructively predict the quality of Yongchuan Xiuya tea. External Yongchuan Xiuya tea samples were used for the actual application of the proposed model. The best pre-processing method was multiple scattering correction coupled with second derivative, and the characteristic spectral regions selected by siPLS were 4381.5-4755.6 cm-1, 4759.5-5133.6 cm-1, 6266.6-6637.8 cm-1 and 7389.9-7760.2 cm-1. The cumulative contribution rate was 99.05% for the first three principal components of the characteristic spectra regions. The transfer function, root mean square error and determinant coefficient of the best BP-ANN prediction model were the tanh function, 0.384 and 0.977, respectively. The root mean square error and determinant coefficient of the external 10 Yongchuan Xiuya tea samples were 0.406 and 0.969, respectively. These results showed that NIRS combined with BP-ANN algorithm can be used to evaluate the quality of Yongchuan Xiuya tea rapidly and accurately.
