O trabalho propôs-se a verificar a transmissibilidade de Sclerotinia sclerotiorum de sementes de canola, cártamo, crambe, girassol, nabo forrageiro e níger inoculadas artificialmente e suas implicações na emergência de plântulas. O isolado fúngico foi repicado em placas de Petri, contendo meio BDA, incubado a 20ºC e fotoperíodo de 12 horas. Após o crescimento do patógeno, foram colocadas 50 sementes de cada cultura por placa, onde permaneceram por 20 horas. Como testemunha, utilizaram-se sementes incubadas nas mesmas condições, porém apenas em meio BDA. Observou-se que S. sclerotiorum pode ser transmitido para as plântulas das culturas quando associado às suas sementes, sendo estas uma importante fonte de inóculo. O fungo provocou tombamento de pré e pós-emergência em todas as espécies estudadas

The study aimed to verify the transmission of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum of rapeseed, safflower, crambe, sunflower, radish and niger seed (artificially inoculated) and its implications on seedling emergence. The fungal isolate was peaked in Petri dishes containing PDA medium and incubated at 20°C and 12 hours photoperiod. After the growth of the pathogen, 50 seeds were placed on each plate cultures where they remained for 20 hours. As a control we used seeds incubated under the same conditions, but only on PDA. It was observed that S. sclerotiorum can be transmitted to seedlings of crops when associated with its seeds, being an important source of inoculum. The fungus caused damping-off in all of the studied species

Objetivou-se nesta pesquisa determinar os períodos de interferência de plantas daninhas no feijoeiro-comum (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivado em plantio direto, em Rolim de Moura-RO. Dois ensaios foram conduzidos simultaneamente; no primeiro a cultura permaneceu livre da competição com plantas daninhas desde a emergência até os 7; 14; 21; 28; 35; 42; 49 e 64 dias; no segundo a cultura permaneceu em competição com a comunidade infestante pelos períodos citados no primeiro ensaio. O delineamento utilizado foi de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições. A Digitaria horizontalis e Zea mays foram as espécies que apresentaram maior importância. A D. horizontalis atingiu altas frequências relativas, dominância relativa e densidade de até 95,3%. A Z. mays apesar dos baixos índices de densidade e freqüência relativa, apresentou alta dominância relativa pelo grande acúmulo de massa seca. O rendimento de grãos do feijoeiro foi afetado pela convivência com as plantas daninhas. Assumindo perdas de 5% no rendimento de grãos do feijoeiro pela interferência da comunidade infestante o período anterior à interferência foi de quatro dias, onde não foi necessária a realização do controle. O período total de prevenção da interferência foi de dezoito dias após a emergência (DAE) e o período crítico de prevenção da interferência situou-se entre os quatro e os dezoito DAE. Neste período até 18 DAE a convivência do feijoeiro com plantas daninhas ocasionou diminuição no rendimento da cultura por competirem pelos recursos do meio, onde houve necessidade de serem controladas.

The research was carried out with the objective of determining the critical periods of weed interference in the culture of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivated in no tillage system in Rolim de Moura-RO. Two trials were conducted simultaneously where in the first the culture remained free of the competition with weeds since the emergency until the 7; 14; 21; 28; 35; 42; 49 and 64 days, and in the second the culture remained in competition with the weed community since the emergency until the relevant periods cited in the first assay. The experimental design was a randomized complete block, with four replications. The D. horizontalis reached high relative frequency, dominance and relative density of up to 95.3%. The Z. mays despite having low density and relative frequency accumulated a great relative dominance by high biomass accumulation. The yield of bean was affected by living with the weeds. Assuming loss of 5% in the yield of grain of the common bean by interference with the weed community, the period preceding the interference was four days, the total period to prevent interference was 18 days after emergence and the critical period for preventing interference was between 4 and the 18 days after emergence. In this period until 18 days after emergence coexistence of beans and weed cause a reduction in crop yield by competing for resources from the environment, where there was a need to control.
