Methods used to determine pesticide residues in teas typically require several laborious steps for sample preparation before analysis. In this study, a simple method based on solid-liquid extraction with low-temperature partitioning (SLE/LTP) and analysis by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was optimized and validated for the determination of pesticide residues (pirimiphos-methyl, flutriafol, cyproconazole, and bifenthrin) in dehydrated green tea leaves. After low-temperature partitioning (LTP), the extract in acetonitrile was subjected to a clean-up step using primary secondary amine (PSA) and octadecylsilane (C18) as sorbents for chlorophyll removal. The optimized SLE/LTP-GC-MS method was validated, and it proved to be effective and selective for extracting pesticides from green tea samples, presenting limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.015 and 0.050 mg kg-1, respectively. Recovery ranged between 81-111%, coefficients of variation were less than 16% and coefficients of determination (R2) were greater than 0.990. The optimized and validated method was applied to green tea and 13 other tea varieties sampled in South and Southeast regions of Brazil. ABSTRACT. Combinations between crop intercropping and forage production in a no-tillage system are not well established for environments under low water retention and soil fertility conditions. Our study aimed to evaluate the potential interactions between soybean-grass intercropping with residual nitrogen in a no-tillage system. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications in a subdivided plot scheme. The main plots in the summer season were: 1) soybean monoculture; 2) soybean - Aruana Guinea grass (Megathyrsus maximus cv. Aruana) intercropping, and 3) soybean - Congo grass (Urochloa ruziziensis cv. Comum) intercropping. The subplots were the nitrogen rates of 0, 50, 100, and 150 kg ha-1, applied as side-dressing in maize and grasses during the autumn-winter season. Here, the results of the summer seasons are shown. To do so, the parameters evaluated were soybean agronomic traits, dry biomass production, and macronutrient concentrations of plants intercropped. The main effects and interactions were studied. Our findings showed that soybean-Aruana Guinea grass intercropping is an alternative to no-tillage system implementation. Moreover, residual nitrogen from the autumn-winter season directly interfered with the dry biomass production of grasses intercropped with soybeans in the summer season. In short, the systems studied seem suitable for implementing a no-tillage system, which aims to neutralize degraded pastures and produce forage for ensilage. Abstract This article aims to verify whether corporate sustainability, using the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, within the current neoliberal capitalist system, can contribute to truly sustainable practices and sustainable consumption. To this end, the tripod of sustainability and its influence on the corporate sector are explained according to the Triple Bottom Line and ESG. The current neoliberal capitalist system and the resulting civilizational crisis are analyzed. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the association of TSH, free T3 (FT3), free T4 (FT4), and conversion (FT3:FT4) ratio values with incident hypertension. Materials and methods: The study included data from participants of the ELSA-Brasil study without baseline hypertension. Serum TSH, FT4 and FT3 levels, and FT3:FT4 ratio values were assessed at baseline, and incident hypertension (defined by blood pressure levels ≥ 140/90 mmHg) was estimated over a median of 8.2 years of follow-up. The risk of incident hypertension was evaluated considering a 1-unit increase in TSH, FT4, FT3, and conversion ratio values and after dividing these variables into quintiles for further analysis using Poisson regression with robust variance. The results are presented as relative risks (RR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) before and after adjustment for multiple variables. Results: The primary analysis incorporated data from 5,915 euthyroid individuals, and the secondary analysis combined data from all euthyroid individuals, 587 individuals with subclinical hypothyroidism, and 31 individuals with subclinical hyperthyroidism. The rate of incident hypertension was 28% (95% CI: 27%-29.3%). The FT4 levels in the first quintile (0.18-1.06 ng/dL) were significantly associated with incident hypertension (RR: 1.03, 95% CI: 1.01-1.06) at follow-up. The association between FT4 levels in the first quintile and incident hypertension was also observed in the analysis of combined data from euthyroid individuals and participants with subclinical thyroid dysfunction (RR: 1.04, 95% CI: 1.01-1.07). The associations were predominantly observed with systolic blood pressure levels in euthyroid individuals. However, in the combined analysis incorporating euthyroid participants and individuals with subclinical thyroid dysfunction, the associations were more pronounced with diastolic blood pressure levels. Conclusion: Low FT4 levels may be a mild risk factor for incident hypertension in euthyroid individuals and persons with subclinical thyroid dysfunction. Resumo O objetivo do estudo foi mapear os aspectos relacionados à gestão de programas de residência em saúde considerando todos os atores envolvidos. Trata-se de uma revisão de escopo adotando as diretrizes estabelecidas pelo JBI. Foram utilizadas como fontes de informação LILACS, MEDLINE, via PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, CINAHL with Full Text e Fonte Acadêmica/EBSCO e Web of Science, entre outras descritas na seção método. Com a estratégia de busca, identificaram-se 17.114 documentos, e após o processo de análise, que envolveu remoção de duplicatas, leitura de título, resumo e textos completos, 32 documentos foram incluídos na revisão, por estarem relacionados à gestão de programas de residência em saúde. A partir do mapeamento desses documentos, surgiram categorias que estavam relacionadas aos aspectos de gestão elencados nesta pesquisa. Algumas informações encontradas se destacaram. Na gestão de pessoas, observam-se aspectos relacionados a recrutamento, seleção dos residentes e treinamento de preceptores. Já na organização, destacam-se estruturação e possibilidades de reorganização de comunicação do programa de residência, bem como os desafios na organização de atividades.

Resumen Este estudio tuvo como objetivo mapear aspectos relacionados a la gestión de Programas de Residencia en Salud, considerando todos los actores involucrados. Esta revisión de alcance adoptó los lineamientos establecidos por el JBI. Se utilizaron como fuentes de información LILACS, MEDLINE, vía PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, CINAHL with Full Text y Academic Source/EBSCO, Web of Science, entre otras descritas en la sección de método. La estrategia de búsqueda identificó 17.114 documentos. Luego del proceso de análisis, que implicó eliminar duplicados, lectura de título, resumen y textos completos, se incluyeron en la revisión 32 documentos, por estar relacionados con la gestión de Programas de Residencia en Salud. Del mapeo de estos documentos surgieron categorías que estaban relacionadas con los aspectos de gestión enumerados en esta investigación. Se destacaron algunas informaciones. En la gestión de personas, se observaron aspectos relacionados con el reclutamiento, la selección de residentes, y la formación de preceptores. Respecto a la organización, destacamos la estructuración y posibilidades de reorganizar la comunicación del Programa de Residencia, así como los desafíos en la preparación de actividades.

Abstract This scoping review aimed to comprehensively map various facets of managing Health Residency Programs, considering all actors and adopting the guidelines established by the JBI. Databases comprised LILACS and MEDLINE via PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, CINAHL with full text, academic source or EBSCO, and Web of Science, among others. A total of 17,114 documents were identified, with 32 articles related to the management of Health Residency Programs included after duplicate removal and title, abstract, and full article reading. The management categories listed in this study resulted from mapping the analyzed articles. Highlighted aspects of people management include recruitment, resident selection, and preceptor training. Regarding organization, the emphasized aspects encompass structuring and reorganizing communication within the residency program and challenges associated with organizing activities.

Método: revisão de escopo baseada no método proposto pelo JBI e nas recomendações do Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses for Scoping Reviews. A busca ocorreu entre os meses de fevereiro e março de 2022 em seis bases de dados, literatura cinzenta e escritórios de registro de propriedade intelectual. A revisão foi realizada por pares. Resultados: foram analisados 28 estudos. As metas internacionais mais contempladas pelos softwares foram a prevenção de erros de medicação, cirurgia segura e comunicação eficiente. ABSTRACT Objective: to map scientific production related to patient safety applications. Method: scoping review based on the method proposed by the JBI and the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses for Scoping Reviews. Results: a total of 28 studies were analyzed. The international goals most often covered by the software were the prevention of medication errors, safe surgery and efficient communication. ABSTRACT Background: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) for hepatitis C treatment by measuring sustained virologic response (SVR) and serious adverse events to help design effective interventions for reducing disease prevalence. Methods: This was a retrospective, observational, real-life study of patients with chronic hepatitis C receiving DAA treatment in the state of Ceará, Brazil. Data were collected in REDCap and analyzed using R® software by the Student's t, chi-square, and Fisher’s exact tests, with a significance level of 5%. Results: In this study, 1075 patients who were diagnosed with hepatitis C infection between October 2015 and October 2023 were included. The mean age of the participants was 56.6 ± 11 years and 60.2% were men. The sample included 51 HIV-infected patients (6.6%), 166 (15,4%) liver transplant recipients, 34 (3,1%) kidney transplant recipients, and 446 patients with cirrhosis (41.4%). The overall SVR rate was 96.4%. The sofosbuvir/daclatasvir/ribavirin regimen used in 354 (32.9%) patients achieved an SVR of 96%. The cure rate was 96.5%, with a lower SVR in patients with cirrhosis (93.4%) than in those with less severe fibrosis (97.9%) (p=0.0015). Serious adverse events associated with ribavirin use occurred in 3.5% of patients. Conclusions: DAA treatment for hepatitis C achieved SVR in real life in all patient profiles, including transplant recipients, HIV carriers, and patients with cirrhosis. Com a estratégia de busca, identificaram-se 17.114 documentos, e após o processo de análise, que envolveu remoção de duplicatas, leitura de título, resumo e textos completos, 32 documentos foram incluídos na revisão, por estarem relacionados à gestão de programas de residência em saúde. Abstract This scoping review aimed to comprehensively map various facets of managing Health Residency Programs, considering all actors and adopting the guidelines established by the JBI. Databases comprised LILACS and MEDLINE via PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, CINAHL with full text, academic source or EBSCO, and Web of Science, among others. A total of 17,114 documents were identified, with 32 articles related to the management of Health Residency Programs included after duplicate removal and title, abstract, and full article reading. The management categories listed in this study resulted from mapping the analyzed articles. Highlighted aspects of people management include recruitment, resident selection, and preceptor training. Resumen Este estudio tuvo como objetivo mapear aspectos relacionados a la gestión de Programas de Residencia en Salud, considerando todos los actores involucrados. Esta revisión de alcance adoptó los lineamientos establecidos por el JBI. Se utilizaron como fuentes de información LILACS, MEDLINE, vía PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, CINAHL with Full Text y Academic Source/EBSCO, Web of Science, entre otras descritas en la sección de método. La estrategia de búsqueda identificó 17.114 documentos. Luego del proceso de análisis, que implicó eliminar duplicados, lectura de título, resumen y textos completos, se incluyeron en la revisión 32 documentos, por estar relacionados con la gestión de Programas de Residencia en Salud. Del mapeo de estos documentos surgieron categorías que estaban relacionadas con los aspectos de gestión enumerados en esta investigación. Se destacaron algunas informaciones. En la gestión de personas, se observaron aspectos relacionados con el reclutamiento, la selección de residentes, y la formación de preceptores. RESUMO Objetivo Descrever a situação vacinal contra poliomielite em 26 capitais, Distrito Federal e 12 municípios do Brasil, em crianças nascidas em 2017 e 2018. Métodos Inquérito domiciliar de base populacional realizado de 2020 a 2022, em que se avaliou a cobertura vacinal da poliomielite em crianças, considerando doses válidas, aplicadas e oportunas por municípios. Resultados Foram coletados dados de 37.801 crianças. A cobertura vacinal de esquema completo de doses válidas foi de 87,5% (IC95% 86,2;88,7), caindo para 79,6% (IC95% 78,1;81,0), considerando a dose de reforço. A taxa de abandono foi de 4,5% para esquema completo, e de 11,7% no primeiro reforço. Não houve correlação entre a realização de campanha e as elevadas coberturas. Conclusão A cobertura vacinal de esquema completo e no primeiro reforço não atingiu a meta de 95,0%. ABSTRACT Objective To describe the polio vaccination status in 26 state capitals, the Federal District, and 12 municipalities in Brazil, among children born between 2017 and 2018. Methods This was a population-based household survey conducted from 2020 to 2022, which assessed polio vaccination coverage in children, considering valid, administered, and timely doses by municipality. Results Data were collected from 37,801 children. Vaccination coverage for the complete valid dose schedule was 87.5% (95%CI 86.2;88.7), dropping to 79.6% (95%CI 78.1;81.0), when the booster dose was considered. The dropout rate was 4.5% for the complete schedule, and 11.7% for the first booster. There was no correlation between campaign implementation and high coverage. Conclusion Vaccination coverage for the complete valid dose schedule and the first booster did not meet the 95.0% target. Resumo O artigo busca perscrutar as lutas em torno dos modos de nomear os sujeitos que utilizam as ruas como morada, com intuito de perceber as sutilezas das redes de saber e poder que essas classificações históricas mobilizam. Recorrendo a um extenso levantamento bibliográfico e documental e à pesquisa etnográfica com os sujeitos que habitam as ruas, em suas diferentes interações, o texto historiciza as classificações atribuídas a esses sujeitos - do outrora vadio, indigente, mendigo ao presente integrante da população em situação de rua -, problematizando as diferentes estratégias repressivas e normalizadoras que continuam a recair sobre essas pessoas, encetando formas de assujeitamento, mas também modos de resistência. Abstract This study aims to scrutinize the disputes surrounding the ways of naming subjects who use the streets as their home in an attempt to understand the nuances of the nets of knowledge and power these historical classifications mobilize. Resorting to an extensive bibliographic, documentary survey and ethnographic research with subjects who inhabit the streets in their different interactions, this study historicizes the classifications attributed to these subjects - from the once vagrant, indigent, beggar to the current homeless situation - problematizing the different repressive and normalizing strategies that continue to affect this public, initiating forms of subjection and modes of resistance. RESUMO O presente artigo apresenta, analisa e discute por que e como pode se pensar a inserção da tecnologia atrelada às ciências e à computação para crianças de 4 e 5 anos na educação infantil. As reflexões aqui exibidas amparam o trabalho realizado desde 2018 no Projeto Aprendendo e Experimentando Tecnologia e Ciências na Educação de Crianças de 4 e 5 Anos. Procura-se deixar de lado o pensamento que reduz o contato com a tecnologia a tablets, celulares ou mesmo montagem de kits de robótica. ABSTRACT This article presents, analyzes, and discusses why and how one can think about the insertion of technology linked to science and computing for children aged 4 and 5 years old in early childhood education. ABSTRACT Background: New-onset chronic pain has been acknowledged as part of the post-COVID-19 condition. However, available fine-grained data about its clinical phenotype, trajectories and main associated characteristics remain scarce. We described the distinct temporal evolutions of post-COVID-19 pain and their epidemiological and phenotypical features. Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study enrolled post-COVID-19 condition patients (i.e. who had persisting COVID-19-related symptoms over 30 days since their first positive laboratory test), whose COVID-19 diagnosis had been supported by RT-PCR of oral/nasopharyngeal swab or serology. They underwent in-person evaluations with a structured interview, pain and quality-of-life-related questionnaires and thorough physical examination. Chronic pain (CP) and probable neuropathic pain (NP) were defined according to IASP criteria. Results: The present study included 226 individuals, 177 (78.3 %) of whom presented over 3 months since their first COVID-19 symptom. New-onset pain occurred in 170 (75.2 %) participants and was chronic in 116 (68.2 %). A chronic course was associated with COVID-19-related hospitalization, new-onset fatigue, lower cognitive performance, motor and thermal sensory deficits, mood and sleep impairments and overall lower quality-of-life levels. Probable NP occurred in only 7.6 % new-onset pain patients, and was associated with pain chronification, new-onset fatigue, motor and thermal sensory deficits, mechanical allodynia and lower rates of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Previous CP was reported by 86 (38.1 %) individuals and had aggravated after the infection in 66 (76.7 %) of them, which was associated with orthostatic hypotension. Conclusions: Post-COVID pain phenomena follow different paths, which are associated with specific clinical and epidemiological features, and possibly distinct underlying mechanisms, prognostic and therapeutic implications. Significance: COVID-19-related pain usually follows a chronic course and is non-neuropathic. Its possible courses and phenotypes are associated with distinct clinical and epidemiological features. This suggests differing underlying mechnisms, which may have significant prognostic and therapeutic implications.

RESUMEN Antecedentes: El dolor crónico de nueva aparición se considera que forma parte de la condición o afección post-COVID-19. Sin embargo, los datos detallados existentes sobre el fenotipo clínico, las trayectorias y las principales características asociadas siguen siendo escasos. Describimos las distintas evoluciones temporales del dolor post-COVID-19 y sus rasgos epidemiológicos y fenotípicos. Métodos: Estudio prospectivo y transversal de pacientes con afección post-COVID-19 (es decir, con síntomas persistentes relacionados con la COVID-19 durante 30 días desde la primera prueba positiva de laboratorio) cuyo diagnóstico de COVID-19 estuviera basado en la RT-PCR de un frotis oral/nasofaríngeo o una serología. Se sometieron a evaluaciones presenciales mediante una entrevista estructurada, cuestionarios de dolor y calidad de vida y una exploración física exhaustiva. El dolor crónico (DC) y el dolor neuropático (DN) probablemente se definieron conforme a los criterios IASP. Resultados: El presente estudio incluyó 226 individuos, 177 (78,3 %) de los cuales se presentaron pasados más de 3 meses desde el primer síntoma de COVID-19. Tenían dolor de nueva aparición 170 (75,2 %) de los participantes y dolor crónico 116 (68,2 %). El curso crónico se asociaba a hospitalización por COVID-19, fatiga de nueva aparición, menor rendimiento cognitivo, déficits motores y sensitivos térmicos, alteraciones del ánimo y el sueño, y niveles generalmente inferiores de calidad de vida. El DN probable afectaba a solo el 7,6 % de los pacientes con dolor de nueva aparición y se asociaba a cronificación del dolor, fatiga de nueva aparición, déficits motores y de sensación térmica, alodinia mecánica y tasas menores de vacunación frente al SARS-CoV-2. Referían DC previo 86 (38,1 %) individuos, y este había empeorado tras la infección en 66 (76,7 %) de ellos, lo que se asociaba a hipotensión ortostática. Conclusiones: Los fenómenos dolorosos post-COVID siguen diferentes trayectorias que se asocian a rasgos clínicos y epidemiológicos específicos, y posiblemente a distintos mecanismos de base y diferentes implicaciones pronósticas y terapéuticas. Significado: El dolor relacionado con la COVID-19 sigue normalmente un curso crónico y no es neuropático. Los posibles cursos y fenotipos se asocian a rasgos clínicos y epidemiológicos distintos. Esto sugiere que los mecanismos de base difieren, lo que podría tener implicaciones pronósticas y terapéuticas importantes.
