RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar as fases de plastocrono em cultivares de soja com hábito de crescimento determinado e indeterminado. Os experimentos foram conduzidos no período de 2010/2011 a 2022/2023 em quatro locais do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, com 25 cultivares de soja com hábito de crescimento determinado (6) e indeterminado (19). Este estudo buscou dividir o plastocrono em fases durante o período de emissão de nós da soja. Em cultivares irrigadas de hábito de crescimento determinado, o plastocrono apresenta duas fases, a fase inicial de 59,7 °C dia nó-1 e a fase final de 65,7 °C dia nó-1. Em ambientes não irrigados, não há diferença entre as fases inicial e final do plastocrono. As cultivares de hábito de crescimento indeterminado com irrigação apresentam um plastocrono médio inicial e final de 64,1 °C dia nó-1, ao contrário da fase intermediária onde o plastocrono é de 58,5 °C dia nó-1. Em ambientes de sequeiro, as fases inicial e intermédia têm um valor médio de 60,6 °C dia nó-1, ao contrário da fase final com um plastocrono de 79,4 °C dia nó-1. ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to identify plastochron phases in soybean cultivars with determinate and indeterminate growth habits. RESUMO Os coeficientes genéticos precisam ser calibrados para as cultivares mais representativas do mercado, portanto, é necessário adicionar novas cultivares a modelos como o SimulArroz. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo foi calibrar e avaliar o modelo SimulArroz para duas novas cultivares de arroz irrigado. Os experimentos foram conduzidos no município de Goianira em Goiás durante quatro safras (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18) e no Rio Grande do Sul nos municípios de Alegrete (2015/16), Cachoeirinha (2015/16), Capão do Leão (2016/17, 2017/18), Santa Vitória do Palmar (2017/18) e Uruguaiana (2014/15, 2015/16). O delineamento utilizado foi o de blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições no Rio Grande do Sul e com parcelas de semeadura em Goianira. ABSTRACT Given genetical coefficients need to be calibrated for the most important cultivars on the market, new cultivars must be added to models such as SimulArroz. RESUMO O cultivo de nogueira-pecã (Carya illinoinensis K. Koch) e oliveira (Olea europaea L.) no Sul do Brasil próximo a áreas de pastagens e de cultivo de grãos tem registrado problemas de deriva de herbicidas. Diante disso, o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos fitotóxicos dos herbicidas 2,4-D e dicamba sob o crescimento de mudas de nogueira-pecã e oliveira. Para isso, utilizaram-se 8 subdoses, sendo elas 0; 1,56; 3,125; 6,25; 12,0; 25,0%; 50,0; e 100% das doses recomendadas para dessecação dos herbicidas 2,4-D (670 g e.a ha-1) e dicamba (720 g i.a ha-1). As aplicações foram realizadas em mudas com 80 cm de altura com auxílio de um pulverizador costal pressurizado a CO2 com volume de calda de 150 L ha-1. As variáveis analisadas foram a fitotoxicidade aos 7, 14, 21, 30 e 60 dias após a aplicação (DAA), estatura de plantas e diâmetro de caule aos 30 e 60 DAA. ABSTRACT The cultivation of pecan (Carya illinoinensis K. Koch) and olive trees (Olea europaea L.) near pasture and grain cultivation areas in southern Brazil has caused herbicide drift problems. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the phytotoxic effects of herbicides 2,4-D and dicamba on the growth of pecan and olive tree seedlings. A total of 8 underdoses were used, as follows: 0, 1.56, 3.125, 6.25, 12.0, 25.0, 50.0, and 100% of the recommended doses of herbicides 2,4-D (670 g a.e ha-1) and dicamba (720 g a.e ha-1) for burndown. The applications were carried out in 80 cm-high seedlings with the aid of a CO2 pressurized sprayer with a spray solution volume of 150 L. ha-1. ABSTRACT Flooding periods directly interfere with the availability of oxygen in the soil, affecting the aerobic processes of the plants. In this study, we aimed to: (i) characterize the effects of water excess soil on cassava growth; (ii) identify management practices that reduce the impact of water excess on cassava yield; and (iii) to know the crop potential yield for the study region in order to quantify the yield loss caused by water excess. The effects of water excess were evaluated through experiments in pots and in the field. The physiological and morphological response of cassava plants under water excess in a controllable environment indicated greater damage to cassava after exposure of 96 and 120 hours of water excess. Every 24 hours of water excess, about 20% of the plants did not emerge and, after 96 hours of excess, the emergence was null. The use of raised seedbeds was a management practice that ensured 62.6% of plant establishment, allowing cassava yields of up to 16.9 Mg ha-1. Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a duração das fases vegetativa e reprodutiva, e a relação entre o ciclo de desenvolvimento total e as fases de desenvolvimento em cultivares de dálias de corte em condições de campo. Foram realizados dez ensaios em lavouras comerciais utilizando de dois a oito cultivares de dálias de corte durante três anos (2021 a 2023) em oito locais no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, sul do Brasil. Os tubérculos foram plantados em canteiros com 1,0 m de largura e 0,2 m de altura, com espaçamento de 0,40 m x 0,40 m e a uma profundidade de 0,05 m. A data de emergência da cultura foi considerada quando 50% das plantas haviam emergido. O broto principal de 10 plantas por cultivar foi marcado. O número de pares de folhas desdobradas nas plantas marcadas foi contado até o último par de folhas desdobradas no broto principal. A data em que 50% das plantas marcadas apresentavam o primeiro botão floral visível no broto principal e a primeira flor no broto principal com a primeira camada de pétalas totalmente aberta (ponto de colheita) foram coletadas observando as plantas marcadas diariamente. Abstract The objective in this study was to determine the duration of the vegetative and the reproductive phases, as the relationship between total developmental cycle and developmental phases in on-farm cut dahlia cultivars. Ten on farm trials using two to eight cut dahlia cultivars during three years (2021 to 2023) at eight locations in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil, were used. Tubers were planted in beds 1.0 m wide and 0.2 m high, at a 0.40 m x 0.40 m spacing and at a depth of 0.05 m. The date of crop emergence was considered when 50% of the plants had emerged. The main shoot of 10 plants per cultivar was tagged. The number of unfolded leaf pairs on tagged plants was counted until the last pair of unfolded leaves on the main shoot. The date that 50% of the tagged plants were at first visible floral bud on the main shoot and at the first flower on the main shoot with the first layer of petals fully open (harvest point) were collected by observing the tagged plants daily. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar a produtividade relativa que maximiza a rentabilidade da lavoura de soja rotacionada com arroz irrigado por inundação. Para tanto, 13 áreas (de 2,6 a 5,2 ha) de alta produção em sistemas soja-arroz, em terras baixas, na região Sul do Brasil foram selecionadas antes da semeadura. O cálculo dos custos de produção incluiu sementes, tratamento de sementes, fertilizantes, calcário, defensivos agrícolas, irrigação, terra, operações terceirizadas, mão de obra e consumo de combustível. A produtividade observada foi transformada em produtividade relativa, ao se multiplicar o quociente da produtividade observada pelo potencial produtivo estimado pelo modelo CSM-CROPGRO-Soybean. A produtividade hídrica foi calculada como a razão entre a produtividade observada e a água disponível durante o ciclo da cultura. O potencial de produtividade variou de 6,1 a 7,4 Mg ha−1, enquanto a produtividade relativa variou de 45,3 a 101,2%. Abstract The objective of this work was to estimate the relative yield that maximizes the profitability of the soybean crop in rotation with flood-irrigated rice. For this, 13 high-yield areas (from 2.6 to 5.2 ha) in lowland soybean-rice systems in Southern Brazil were selected before sowing. The calculation of production costs included seeds, seed treatment, fertilizers, lime, pesticides, irrigation, land, operational outsourcing, labor, and fuel consumption. The observed yield was transformed into relative yield by multiplying the quotient of the observed yield by the yield potential estimated by the CSM-CROPGRO-Soybean model. Water productivity was calculated as the ratio between the observed yield and available water during the crop cycle. Yield potential ranged from 6.1 to 7.4 Mg ha−1, whereas relative yield ranged from 45.3 to 101.2%. RESUMO: O azevém (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) é considerado uma das principais plantas de cobertura hibernais do sul do Brasil, porém é uma espécie daninha com registro de resistência a diversos herbicidas. O estabelecimento dessa espécie nas áreas agrícolas ocorre através do banco de sementes no solo, sendo que medidas que interfiram na produção de sementes podem auxiliar no seu manejo. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a fitotoxicidade, produção e qualidade de sementes de azevém mediante aplicação dos herbicidas 2,4-D e saflufenacil em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento. Foram realizados três estudos, em delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado para os dois primeiros, e blocos casualizados para o terceiro, todos com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram arranjados em esquema fatorial 3x3, em que o fator A foi composto pelos herbicidas saflufenacil (35 g i.a. ha-1), 2,4-D (1005 g e.a. ha-1), mais testemunha sem aplicação; e o fator B constituiu-se dos estádios de desenvolvimento do azevém emborrachamento, antese e maturação. A fitotoxicidade dos herbicidas ao azevém não superou 30%, sendo que o saflufenacil promoveu maior injúria e no estádio de antese. Ocorreu redução na produtividade de sementes de azevém quando recebeu aplicação dos herbicidas 2,4-D e saflufenacil, sendo que a aplicação em antese de 2,4-D e de saflufenacil reduz o percentual de sementes cheias. O número de sementes vazias de azevém foi maior quando foi aplicado saflufenacil no estádio de antese. A aplicação de 2,4-D em maturação reduziu a germinação e comprimento da radícula de azevém. Nessa perspectiva, estes herbicidas podem auxiliar na redução da produção e qualidade de sementes de azevém. RESUMO Lolium Lam. ABSTRACT: Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) is considered one of the main winter cover crops in southern Brazil; however, it is a weed species with a record of being resistant to several herbicides. The settlement of this species in agricultural areas occurs through the seed bank in the soil, and measures that interfere with seed production can assist in its management. The present study evaluated the phytotoxicity, production, and quality of Italian ryegrass seeds through the application of herbicides 2,4-D and saflufenacil at different stages of development. Three trials were conducted, a completely randomized experimental design for the first two and randomized blocks for the third, all with four replications. The treatments were arranged in a 3x3 factorial scheme, in which factor A was composed of the herbicides saflufenacil (35 g a.i. ha-1), 2,4-D (1005 g a.e. ha-1), plus control without application; and factor B consisted of the booting, anthesis, and maturation Italian ryegrass development stages. The phytotoxicity of the herbicides to Italian ryegrass did not exceed 30%, with saflufenacil causing the greatest injury at anthesis. There was a reduction in Italian ryegrass seed yield when herbicides 2,4-D and saflufenacil were applied, and the application of 2,4-D and saflufenacil at anthesis reduced the percentage of full seeds. The number of empty Italian ryegrass seeds was higher when saflufenacil was applied at anthesis. The application of 2,4-D at maturity reduced Italian ryegrass germination and radicle length. ABSTRACT It is projected an increase of about 30% in the world population by 2050 and a food demand increase by 60%, mainly vegetable proteins. Due to this, soybean is being introduced in new production systems, such as in rotation with irrigated rice in lowlands. Irrigated and non-irrigated experiments were conducted in order to determine the influence of irrigation on maturity groups, on yield components and yield in lowlands. Five soybean cultivars with maturity groups (MG) ranging from 4.8 to 7.8 were used, representing the cultivars sowing in southern Brazil, and three sowings were performed (October, November and January). A decrease in the number of pods m-2 was observed with the delay in the sowing date in both water regimes and MG, except MG 4.8 and 5.5, which had a higher number of pods m-2 when irrigated and sown in November. The leaf area index (LAI) was higher under the irrigated condition, for all MGs and sowing dates. Resumo O presente artigo foi construído a partir de uma pesquisa exploratória realizada com alunos do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) e do ensino regular, com o intuito de despertar o interesse deles por uma história contada com o recurso da realidade aumentada (RA) e de suas contribuições para a alfabetização. Foram selecionados alunos em processo de formação, com o objetivo de estimular o interesse pela leitura através de uma história infantil denominada “Animaizinhos do Safári”, da editora Todolivro, contada com o uso de recursos de RA. Também faz parte desse trabalho uma análise dos benefícios desse recurso nessa fase. Além disso, os autores relatam as experiências e as opiniões da professora da turma com relação à utilização da RA para fins educacionais. Como resultados, percebe-se que o uso da RA auxilia os professores, proporciona aulas interativas e desperta no aluno o seu interesse pelos conteúdos escolares, além de estimular à leitura.

Abstract This article was developed by an exploratory research accomplished with students from specialized educational attendance (SEA) and regular teaching, analyzing their interest by a story told with the resourse of the augmented reality (AR) and its contributions for the literacy. Some students were selected in literacy process, intending to encourage the interest by reading through a children’s story named “Animaizinhos do Safári” – (Safari Little Animals), from Todolivro publisher, told with the augmented reality resources, also analyzing the contributions of this resource in that level. Furthermore, the authors mention the teacher’s opinions and experiences in comparison with the use of augmented reality for educational purposes. As results, we notice that the use of augmented reality can help the teachers providing more interactive classes and the students can have a better interest by the school subjects and an encouragement for reading.

ABSTRACT The argument in this essay is that Paulo Freire's pedagogy represents both a consolidation of Latin American pedagogical thinking and the starting point for new developments in the area. The text is divided into four parts. In the first, an attempt is made to look at how Paulo Freire builds his vision of Latin America, with special attention to his time of exile in Chile. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar as correlações genéticas e as associações diretas e indiretas de caracteres agronômicos e atributos de qualidade de grãos com a percentagem de grãos inteiros em arroz irrigado por inundação. O experimento foi conduzido em dois ambientes, em delineamento de blocos ao acaso, com três repetições, tendo-se utilizado 23 genótipos de arroz irrigado. Os caracteres avaliados foram: percentagem de grãos inteiros, comprimento da cariopse, largura da cariopse, comprimento da panícula, peso da panícula, peso de mil grãos, dias para floração, percentagem de grãos com “barriga branca” e grãos gessados, área gessada total, brancura total, brancura vítrea e defeitos de coloração. A percentagem de grãos com “barriga branca” e área gessada total correlacionaram-se positivamente, enquanto a percentagem de grãos com “barriga branca” e gessada e brancura vítrea correlacionaram-se negativamente. Abstract The objective of this work was to determine the genetic correlations and the direct and indirect associations of agronomic traits and grain quality attributes with the percentage of whole grains in flood irrigated rice. The experiment was carried out in two environments, in a randomized complete block design with three replicates, using 23 irrigated rice genotypes. The evaluated traits were: percentage of whole grains, caryopsis length, caryopsis width, panicle length, panicle weight, 1,000 grain weight, days to flowering, percentage of chalky grains with white belly, total chalky area, total whiteness, vitreous whiteness, and defects in coloring. The percentage of grains with white belly and total chalky area were positively correlated, whereas the percentage of grains with white belly and vitreous whiteness were negatively correlated. The traits caryopsis width, percentage of chalky grains with white belly, panicle weight, and 1,000 grain weight showed indirect effects on whole-grain yield response according to total chalky area and total whiteness. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a seletividade de herbicidas pré e pós-emergentes e a sua eficiência no controle de plantas daninhas, bem como o crescimento e a qualidade de hastes florais, na cultura do gladíolo (Gladiolus x grandiflorus), em duas épocas de cultivo. Os experimentos foram conduzidos a campo, onde os gladíolos plantados receberam a aplicação de herbicidas pré e pós-emergentes, com e sem controle mecânico das plantas daninhas. Aos 7, 14, 21 e 28 dias após a emergência (DAE), avaliaram-se o controle de monocotiledôneas e eudicotiledôneas, além da fitotoxicidade no gladíolo. Aos 28 DAE, também foi avaliada a massa seca da parte aérea das plantas daninhas e dos gladíolos. Os herbicidas pré-emergentes s-metolacloro e diuron e o pós-emergente haloxifope-p-metílico são seletivos ao gladíolo, em ambas as épocas de cultivo, o que possibilita a produção de hastes florais com qualidade comercial. Os herbicidas s-metolacloro e haloxifope-p-metílico também promovem controle eficiente de monocotiledôneas independentemente da época de cultivo. Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of pre- and post-emergent herbicides and their efficiency in weed control, as well as the growth and quality of floral stems, in a gladiolus (Gladiolus x grandiflorus) crop in two growing seasons. The experiments were carried out in the field, where the planted gladiolus received the application of pre- and post-emergent herbicides, with and without mechanical weed control. At 7, 14, 21, and 28 days after emergence (DAE), monocotyledon and eudicotyledon control and phytotoxicity to gladiolus plants were evaluated. At 28 DAE, the shoot dry matter of weeds and gladiolus plants was also evaluated. The s-metolachlor and diuron pre-emergent herbicides and the haloxyfop-p-methyl post-emergent herbicide are selective to gladiolus plants in both seasons, which allows of the production of floral stems with commercial quality. The s-metolachlor and haloxyfop-p-methyl herbicides also promote an efficient control of monocotyledons regardless of the growing season. RESÚMEN: En este artículo, el laberinto se utiliza como una metáfora para caracterizar la realidad educativa latinoamericana en su complejidad actual y sus condicionantes históricos. El objetivo es comprender las complejidades de estos laberintos y contribuir en la búsqueda de posibilidades para la construcción de alternativas que señalen salidas. En la primera parte del texto hay referencia a obras de la literatura, las ciencias sociales y la educación que revelan las diversas facetas y dimensiones del laberinto. En la segunda parte, se identifican algunas tareas para ayudar a enfrentar los desafíos del laberinto: la educación popular como un lugar de resistencia y la creación de inéditos viables; el descubrimiento de protagonismos olvidados y silenciados; educación para un cosmopolitismo crítico y solidario. RESUMO: No presente artigo, o labirinto é usado como metáfora para caracterizar a realidade educacional latino-americana em sua complexidade atual e seus condicionantes históricos. O objetivo é compreender os meandros desses labirintos e contribuir na busca de possibilidades para a construção de alternativas que apontem saídas. Na primeira parte do texto, há referência a obras da literatura, das ciências sociais e da educação que revelam as várias facetas e dimensões do labirinto. Na segunda parte, são identificadas tarefas para ajudar a lidar com os desafios do labirinto: a educação popular como lugar de resistência e de criação de inéditos viáveis; o descobrimento de protagonismos esquecidos e silenciados; a educação para um cosmopolitanismo crítico e solidário. Na conclusão, apontam-se três ingredientes de uma visão utópica para a educação: a imaginação que afirma a possibilidade de elevar-se acima do possível e ver os labirintos não como uma fatalidade; a condição de criar projetos através dos quais se pode incidir sobre a realidade imediata e mediata; e o agir com um certo grau de certeza. ABSTRACT: In this article, the labyrinth is used as a metaphor to characterize the Latin American educational reality in its current complexity and its historical conditionings. The objective is to understand these labyrinths' intricacies and contribute to the search for possibilities to construct alternatives that point out ways. The first part of the text references works from literature, the social sciences, and education that reveal the various facets and dimensions of the labyrinth. In the second part, there are identified tasks to help deal with the challenges of the labyrinth: popular education as a place of resistance and the creation of untested feasibilities; the discovery of forgotten and silenced protagonists; education for a critical and solidary cosmopolitanism. The conclusion points to three ingredients of a utopian vision for education: the imagination that affirms the possibility of rising above the possible and seeing the mazes, not as a fatality; the condition of creating projects through which one can act on reality immediately and mediate; and acting with a certain degree of certainty. Resumo A dália é uma importante cultura ornamental e amplamente utilizada como planta de jardim em canteiros e bordaduras mistas, bem como flor de corte em buquês e arranjos florais. O entendimento dos fatores que propiciam uma produção sustentável de flores é essencial para que os produtores de dálias aumentem seus lucros. Duas variáveis-chave que definem o desenvolvimento da folha durante a fase vegetativa de uma cultura são a taxa de aparecimento de folhas na haste principal e o número final de folhas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar o filocrono e o número final de pares de folhas em cultivares de dálias de corte em diferentes localidades. Três experimentos em fazendas variando de dois a oito cultivares de dália de corte foram conduzidos durante dois anos (2021/2022) em seis localidades do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, sul do Brasil. O número de pares de folhas desdobradas (NLP - uma folha desdobrada foi assumida quando as bordas folioladas não se tocavam mais) em cada planta foi contado uma ou duas vezes por semana, dependendo da fazenda, até que o último par de folhas fosse desdobrado. O NLP foi regredido linearmente contra TT (tempo termal °C dia-1) e o filocrono (ºC dia par folha-1) foi calculado como a inclinação da regressão linear. Abstract Dahlia is an important ornamental crop and widely used as a garden plant in beds and mixed borders as well as a cut flower in bouquets and flower arrangements. Understanding the factors that support sustainable flower production is essential for dahlia growers to increase their profits. Two key variables that define leaf development during the vegetative phase of a crop are the rate of appearance of leaves on the main stem and the final number of leaves. The objective in this study was to determine the phyllochron and the final leaf pair number (FLPN) in cut dahlias cultivars grown in different locations. Three on farm experiments varying from two to eight cut dahlia cultivars were conducted during two years (2021/2022) in six locations in Rio Grande do Sul State, Southern Brazil. The number of unfolded leaf pairs (NLP - an unfolded leaf was assumed when the foliolates edges were not touching anymore) on each plant was counted once or twice a week, depending on the farm, until the last leaf pair was unfolded. The NLP was linearly regressed against TT (thermal time °C day-1) and the phyllochron (oC day leaf pair-1) was calculated as the slope of the linear regression.
