ABSTRACT Wild birds have great prominence in the transmission of diseases to humans, mainly due to their ease of access to human populations, raising concerns about the potential impact of that proximity on public health. The present study reports ARV and PBV occurrence in wild birds from an environmental protection area in the Amazon biome, in Pará state, Brazil. We obtained 155 fecal specimens from 47 species of wild birds for RNA extraction, ARV and PBV detection utilizing molecular methods, nucleotide sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis. ARV prevalence was 0.6% (1/155), being positive in an individual of Myrmotherula longipennis, and PBV prevalence was 1.29% (2/155), affecting two individuals of Guira guira. The PBV strains were assigned to genogroup I based on phylogenetic analysis, and they shared a strong phylogenetic link with strains isolated from different geographic locations. The ARV strain was more closely related to strains that had previously circulated in the same region. The presence of ARV and PBV in this habitat suggests that infection cycles of these agents occur naturally in the wild ecosystem, potentially triggering transmission events between bird species and humans. RESUMO As aves silvestres têm grande destaque na transmissão de doenças ao homem, principalmente pela facilidade de acesso à população humana, levantando preocupações sobre o potencial impacto dessa proximidade no contexto da saúde pública. O presente estudo relata a ocorrência de ARV e PBV em aves silvestres de uma área de proteção ambiental no bioma Amazônico. ABSTRACT Soil fertility evaluation is important for adopting conservation management and adequate nutrient supply. The objective of this study was to identify critical levels and soil fertility classes using the boundary line method for rainfed crops (corn, cowpea and sabiá [Mimosa caesalpiniifolia]) in the Brazilian semi-arid region. A database of 226 soil fertility analyses of samples from the 0.00-0.20 m soil layer, and corn, cowpea and sabiá yields from Ceará State was used to generate interpretation classes (at 80 and 95 % of maximum yield). In a scatter plot, soil nutrient concentrations (x-axis) and relative crop yields (y-axis) were correlated, and the border points fitted to a quadratic model. Proposed interpretation classes were classified as very low, low, adequate, high and very high, except for Na+, whose adequate class was considered tolerable. Generated models showed coefficients of determination (R2) for the chemical properties ranging from 0.54 to 0.92. Based on the interpretation classes, the critical level was determined as 6.3 for pH, 10.8 g dm-3 for OM, 20.9 mg dm-3 for P, 81 mg dm-3 for K, 55 mmolc dm-3 for Ca2+, 24 mmolc dm-3 for Mg2+ and 8 mg dm-3 for S-SO42-. ABSTRACT: The intervention educational policies and practices in the pandemic and post-pandemic context start to privilege the educational process focused on digital platforms and the personalization of network learning. This article aims to present the protagonism of humans and non-humans in pedagogical practices from the perspective of teachers and technical-pedagogical professionals from the State Education System of Paraíba. We conducted quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, descriptive, and analytical research. We collected the data through a multi-thematic questionnaire using the tool Google Forms. The research universe covered 19,473 effective teachers and service providers from 9 to 21 December 2021. We conclude that in addition to the debates, theories, and methods of Distance Education and Online Education, it is necessary to reinvent the teaching-learning processes through (non-human) platforms, significantly changing the ways of researching, teaching, producing, and disseminating knowledge. Pedagogical practices instituted by digital platforms are activities in which human and non-human agents work together, interact, and form alliances and bonds based on certain instituted and organized activities. Abstract Objectives The Fluconazole pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic relationship was investigated in a few clinical settings and only limited studies regarding burned patients are available. Thus, the authors aimed to investigate fluconazole pharmacokinetics changes and its impact on antifungal therapy coverage against dose-dependent Candida spp. applying the PK/PD approach in critically ill severely burned patients. Methods Fluconazole was administered as a one-hour intravenous infusion of 200 mg q12h. Doses were increased according to the coverage based on the PK/PD approach. Blood samples were collected at the end of the infusion (1st hour), two hours after (3rd hour), and before the next dose (12th or 24th hour). Serum concentrations were obtained by HPLC-UV. Pharmacokinetic parameters were estimated by noncompartmental analysis and compared with data described in healthy subjects. The effectiveness predictive index was based on the AUCss 0-24h/MIC ratio, with a target above 25. Results Every pharmacokinetic parameter was reduced throughout all three sets of the study. Compared to healthy subjects, the volume of distribution was decreased about 3‒7 times, biological half-life was 2‒3 times shorter and total body clearance was slightly altered but statistically significant. Both half-life and total body clearance were correlated to the volume of distribution. Consequently, an increase in fluconazole daily dose was necessary to improve empiric coverage. Conclusions Fluconazole pharmacokinetics is altered in critically ill severely burned patients, mainly related to the volume of distribution. Wave physics describes physical systems in which a restoring force governs the oscillatory motion of the system around an equilibrium point. These oscillations manifest themselves in different types of waves and propagate at speeds associated with the different characteristics of the propagation medium. One of the phenomena that impresses by their symmetry and elegance are the Chladni patterns, which are even used as an indicator of quality in the manufacture of musical instruments. In this paper, a simple experimental apparatus and an interactive mathematical graphical interface, which was createad at the GeoGebra platform by equations solutions from the wave equation in square plates, were developed to study two dimensional Waves of the Chladni plates. Essas oscilações se manifestam em diferentes tipos de ondas e se propagam com velocidades associadas às distintas características do meio de propagação. Uma manifestação que impressiona pela simetria, pela própria elegância, são os padrões de Chladni, que inclusive são utilizados como indicador de qualidade na fabricação de instrumentos musicais. Neste trabalho são apresentados um aparato experimental simples e uma interface gráfica matemática interativa, desenvolvida na plataforma GeoGebra a partir das soluções da equação de onda em placas quadradas para explorar o estudo de ondas estacionárias bidimensionais das placas de Chladni. ABSTRACT This work analyzed the world concentration of pellet exports between 2012 and 2018. Data on pellet exports from the Food and Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations – FAO were used as were the following indicators: Concentration Ratio [CR(k)], Hirschman-Herfindal Index (HHI), Theil Entropy Index (E), Gini inequality coefficient (G) and the Hall-Tideman Index (HTI). From the results, it was noted that there was an increase in the amount of world exports of wood pellets, with an increase from 9.71 x106 t, in 2012, to 23.67 x106 t, in 2018. There was dominance of the European continent over exports; at the country level, the main ones were: United States, Canada and Latvia. The indicators showed that pellet exports were, for the most part, concentrated and uneven. Utilizou-se os dados das exportações de pellets da Food and Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations – FAO e foram empregados os indicadores: Razão de Concentração[CR(k)], Índice de Hirschman-Herfindal (HHI), Índice de Entropia de Theil (E), Coeficiente de desigualdade de Gini (G) e o Índice de Hall-Tideman (HTI). Resumo O fósforo (P) é um dos principais nutrientes capazes de aumentar a produtividade de gramíneas tropicais. A definição de doses de P pode contribuir para aumentar a produção de forragem em pastagens cultivadas. Todavia não se conhece a eficiência na resposta de diferentes genótipos de capim-corrente (Urochloa mosambicensis (Hack.) Dandy) a doses de P. Este estudo objetivou quantificar a resposta de genótipos de capim-corrente a níveis de adubação com P e classificá-los segundo a sua eficiência e responsividade. O experimento foi conduzido em vasos, em condições controladas, no delineamento inteiramente casualizado, num esquema fatorial 2 x 9, com cinco repetições. Os fatores consistiram de doses equivalentes de P de 10 e 90 kg ha-1 de P2O5 (superfosfato triplo) e oito genótipos de U. mosambicensis (UmCO1 (2), UmCO-2 (2), UmCO-4 (1), UmCO-8 (1), UmCO-11 (2), UmCO-12 (2), UmCO-13 (2) e UmCO-14 (2)), além da testemunha Urochloa brizantha syn. Abstract Phosphorus (P) is one of the main nutrients capable of increasing yields of tropical grasses. The definition of adequate P fertilizer rates can contribute to improving forage production of pastures. However, the efficiency in the response of different genotypes of Urochloa mosambicensis (Hack.) Dandy (Bushveld herringbone grass) to P fertilizer rates is not known. This study aimed to quantify the response of U. mosambicensis genotypes to P fertilizer levels and classify the genotypes as to efficiency and responsiveness. The experiment was carried out in pots, under controlled conditions, in a completely randomized design, in a 2 x 9 factorial with five replications. The factors consisted of equivalent P rates of 10 and 90 kg ha-1 of P2O5 (triple superphosphate) and eight genotypes of U. mosambicensis (UmCO-1 (2), UmCO-2 (2), UmCO-4 (1), UmCO-8 (1), UmCO-11 (2), UmCO-12 (2), UmCO-13 (2) and UmCO-14 (2)), in addition to a control, Urochloa brizantha syn. ABSTRACT. This study aimed to evaluate the nutrition of commercial soybean crops in an agricultural frontier region using the diagnosis and recommendation integrated system (DRIS) and compositional nutrient diagnosis (CND) methods, as well as identify sufficiency ranges. The study was performed by collecting leaf samples (third trifoliate leaf without petiole) at flowering from commercial soybean crops in the states of Piauí and Maranhão, Brazil, and evaluating the crop yield by analyzing macro- and micronutrients in the plant tissue of 98 samples. The DRIS and CND methods were applied based on the cataloged data, followed by the generation of norms, analysis of relationships between yield and nutrients (selecting high-yield crops by the cumulative function of the data), generation of sufficiency ranges, and comparison of methods. The relationships obtained by the DRIS and CND indices with the yield and nutrients were significant, indicating that both methods can be employed for the evaluation of leaf nutrients in soybean. The sufficiency ranges from the DRIS and CND methods presented superior nutrient ranges in relation to the values proposed in the literature for macronutrients, except for nitrogen, and greater range amplitudes for micronutrients. Resumo: Introdução: Nas últimas décadas, a educação interprofissional vem ganhando cada vez mais visibilidade na área da saúde, a partir do reconhecimento de que essa abordagem é capaz de melhorar a qualidade da assistência à saúde e contribuir para a qualificação dos profissionais de saúde e a formação dos estudantes de diversas graduações. No entanto, no Brasil, ainda são escassas as experiências, bem como as publicações relativas ao tema. Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo apresentar os procedimentos e a análise estatística relacionados às etapas de tradução e adaptação transcultural da Interprofessional Professionalism Assessment (IPA), ferramenta observacional, publicada em 2018, elaborada na língua inglesa, capaz de mensurar o profissionalismo interprofissional entre estudantes e profissionais da saúde, no contexto do cuidado centrado no paciente. Método: O estudo transcorreu na Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde,,no período de julho de 2020 a outubro de 2021. A amostra foi composta por três tradutores, cinco especialistas e 201 estudantes do curso de Medicina, que foram submetidos ao questionário com a finalidade de testar a confiabilidade e validade da versão final em português. Considerou-se aceitável o alfa de Cronbach igual ou superior a 0,70. Abstract: Introduction: In recent decades, interprofessional education has been gaining increasing visibility in the health area, based on the recognition that this approach is capable of improving the quality of health care and contributing to the qualification of health professionals and the training of students of various degrees. However, in Brazil, there are still few experiences and publications related to this theme. Objectives: To translate into Brazilian Portuguese and carry out a cross-cultural adaptation of the “Interprofessional professionalism assessment” scale, an instrument originally published in 2018 and designed to measure interprofessional professionalism among students and health professionals, in the context of patient-centered care. Methods: The study took place at the Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde, from July 2020 to October 2021. The sample consisted of three translators, five specialists and two hundred and one medical course students, who were submitted to the questionnaire in order to test the reliability and validity of the final version in Portuguese. Cronbach’s Alpha equal to or greater than 0.70 was considered acceptable. Results: The study strictly complied with the methodological requirements recommended internationally for the stages of translation, back-translation, expert panel, test, retest and final test, the version translated to the Portuguese and adapted to the Brazilian culture was generated. After the test of the final version, performed with students from the medical course boarding school, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient equal to 0.94 was obtained. O experimento do canhão de Gauss é notável por sua transversalidade dentro de conceitos relevantes para a Física. Ele é simples, rápido, de fácil execução e com um rico conteúdo de mecânica e magnetismo para ser observado. The magnetic cannon (Gauss cannon or Gauss rifle) experiment is notable for its cross-disciplinary nature within relevant physics concepts. RESUMO O objetivo foi avaliar o desempenho produtivo e a exportação de nutrientes do consórcio de milho com gramíneas forrageiras tolerantes ao estresse hídrico. O experimento foi delineado em blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 2x2x2+1 (duas espécies de gramíneas forrageiras – Massai e Buffel; dois métodos de semeadura – no sulco e a lanço; e duas épocas de semeadura – antecipada e simultânea; e monocultivo de milho como um controle adicional), com três repetições. O consórcio milho+forragem promoveu maior competição por recursos, principalmente água, limitando a absorção de N, síntese de clorofila e produção de biomassa pelo milho para condições semiáridas. A semeadura precoce deu vantagem competitiva às plantas forrageiras, favorecendo seu estabelecimento antes ou imediatamente após a semeadura do milho. ABSTRACT The aim was to evaluate the productive performance and nutrient export of maize intercropped with drought-tolerant forage grasses. The experimental design was a randomized blocks in a 2x2x2+1 factorial scheme (two forage grasses species – Massai and Buffel; two forage sowing methods - in the furrow and broadcast; and two forage sowing times - anticipated and simultaneous; and monoculture maize as an additional control), with three replicates. The maize+forage intercropping promoted greater competition for resources, especially water, limiting N uptake, chlorophyll synthesis, and biomass production by maize under semiarid conditions. Early sowing gave forage plants a competitive advantage, favoring forage establishment before or immediately after the sowing of maize. Thus, the simultaneous sowing of forage grasses in a semiarid environment is a more appropriate option considering the importance of high levels of chlorophyll to ensure high photosynthetic activity in maize plants and greater capacity of biomass synthesis. Massai intercropped with maize exhibits a greaterpotential for biomass production than Buffel under semiarid conditions. The educational policies and practices of intervention in the pandemic and post-pandemic context start to privilege the educational process with a focus on digital platforms and the personalization of learning in networks. The objective of the article is to present the role of digital platforms (nonhuman actors) and consequently of the screen in pedagogical practices, from the perspective of teachers and technical-pedagogical (human actors) of the State Education Network of Paraíba, identifying the actors that constitute learning infrastructures and mainly pedagogical practices. Using quantitative and qualitative exploratory, descriptive and analytical research, the data presented were collected using the Google Forms tool, through a multi-thematic questionnaire. The research universe covered 19,473 effective teachers and service providers in the period from December 9 to 21, 2021. We conclude that in addition to the debates, theories and methods of Distance Learning or Online Education, it is necessary to reinvent teaching-learning processes by through (nonhuman) platforms, radically altering the ways of researching, teaching, producing and disseminating knowledge. Pedagogical practices instituted by digital platforms are activities with which human and non-human agents work together, entangled, interacting and forming alliances and bonds, based on certain instituted and organized activities. Although underutilized in its educational potential, the use of digital platforms brought the perception that it is not possible to think of an education that excludes the internet and digital technologies.

As políticas y prácticas educativas de intervención en el contexto de pandemia y pospandemia comienzan a privilegiar el proceso educativo con enfoque en las plataformas digitales y la personalización del aprendizaje en redes. El objetivo del artículo es presentar el papel de las plataformas digitales (actores no humanos) y consecuentemente de la pantalla en las prácticas pedagógicas, en la perspectiva de docentes y técnico-pedagógicos (actores humanos) de la Red Estatal de Educación de Paraíba, identificando los actores que constituyen las infraestructuras de aprendizaje y principalmente las prácticas pedagógicas. Utilizando una investigación exploratoria, descriptiva y analítica cuantitativa y cualitativa, los datos presentados fueron recolectados utilizando la herramienta Google Forms, a través de un cuestionario multitemático. El universo de investigación abarcó 19.473 docentes efectivos y prestadores de servicios en el período del 9 al 21 de diciembre de 2021. Concluimos que además de los debates, teorías y métodos de la Educación a Distancia o Educación en Línea, es necesario reinventar los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje mediante a través de plataformas (no humanas), alterando radicalmente las formas de investigar, enseñar, producir y difundir el conocimiento. Las prácticas pedagógicas instituidas por las plataformas digitales son actividades con las que agentes humanos y no humanos trabajan juntos, enredados, interactuando y formando alianzas y vínculos, a partir de determinadas actividades instituidas y organizadas. Aunque subutilizado en su potencial educativo, el uso de las plataformas digitales trajo la percepción de que no es posible pensar en una educación que excluya internet y las tecnologías digitales.

O objetivo do artigo é apresentar o protagonismo das plataformas digitais (atores não-humanos) e, consequentemente, do ecrã nas práticas pedagógicas, a partir dos olhares de docentes e técnico-pedagógicos (atores humanos) da Rede Estadual de Ensino da Paraíba, identificando os atores que constituem infraestruturas de aprendizagem e principalmente práticas pedagógicas. Utilizamos o método da pesquisa quantitativa e qualitativa de caráter exploratória, descritiva e analítica. Os dados apresentados foram coletados com a utilização da ferramenta Google Forms, por meio de um questionário multitemático. O universo da pesquisa abrangeu 19.473 professores efetivos e prestadores de serviço no período de 9 a 21 de dezembro de 2021. Twitter, as a cultural device, allows users not only informative posts, but also sexual and pornographic approaches. In this context, based on the theoretical contributions of cultural studies in education and studies of social networks in education, the article presents results of a research that aims to analyze how the sexual performances of a group of gay men on Twitter are constructed, highlighting discourses and pedagogies that educate the perspectives through these network interactions. The method was qualitative, descriptive and analytical, from a perspective of social network studies, in an approach to virtual ethnography. The results show the construction of analyzed profiles as performative displays of bodies, sexual organs and discourses that emphasize sexualities constructed on and for the screens. Such performances are full of pedagogies that guide ways of being gay and the education of social perspectives in the era of connectivity.

Twitter, como artefacto cultural, permite a sus usuarios posteos informativos, pero también con abordajes sexuales y pornográficos. En este contexto, a partir de los aportes teóricos de los estudios culturales en educación y de los estudios de redes sociales en la educación, el artículo presenta resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar cómo son construidas las performances corporales y sexuales de un grupo de hombres gay en Twitter, destacando discursos y pedagogías que educan la mirada por medio de estas interacciones en red. El método usado fue cualitativo, de cuño descriptivo y analítico, en una perspectiva de los estudios de redes sociales, desde el abordaje de la etnografía virtual. Los resultados apuntan que los perfiles analizados evidencian la exhibición performática de los cuerpos, de los órganos sexuales y de discursos que resaltan sexualidades construidas en y para las pantallas. Tales performances están repletas de pedagogías que orientan modos de ser gay y la educación de la mirada en la era de la conectividad.

O Twitter, enquanto artefato cultural, permite a seus usuários postagens informativas, mas também abordagens sexuais e pornográficas. O método usado foi o qualitativo, de cunho descritivo e analítico, numa perspectiva dos estudos de redes sociais, numa abordagem da etnografia virtual. Os resultados apontam que os perfis analisados evidenciam a exibição performática dos corpos, dos órgãos sexuais e de discursos que ressaltam sexualidades construídas em e para as telas. Tais performances são repletas de pedagogias que orientam modos de ser gay e a educação do olhar na era das conectividades.

ABSTRACT Gain-of-function mutations in the STAT1 gene have been initially associated with chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis. However, further research has shown that STAT1 GOF variants may increase susceptibility to infection by other intracellular pathogens. This report describes the first case of disseminated leishmaniasis associated with a STAT1 GOF mutation in a pediatric patient who did not have chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis. The patient was a four-year-old boy presenting with fever, severe asthenia, hepatosplenomegaly, pancytopenia, and liver failure. Bone marrow aspirate revealed hemophagocytosis and Leishmania parasites. Treatment consisted primarily of liposomal amphotericin B, as per the Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis 2004 protocol. After eight weeks of treatment, the patient did not improve and was submitted to diagnostic splenectomy. Activated macrophages and nodular spleen necrosis secondary to the visceral leishmaniasis were detected. Unfortunately, the patient died in the second week after splenectomy due to overwhelming systemic infection. DNA sequencing revealed a pathogenic (p. R274Q) GOF mutation in STAT1.

ABSTRACT Purpose: To evaluate effect of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) associated with Ringer lactate or hypertonic saline in inflammation and bacterial translocation on experimental intestinal obstruction (IO). Methods: Wistar rats was subjected to IO. Six or 24 hours after, rats were subjected to enterectomy and fluid resuscitation: IO, RL (subjected to the same procedures but with fluid resuscitation using Ringer’s lactate solution); RLNAC (added NAC to Ringer’s solution); and HSNAC (surgical procedure + fluid reposition with 7.5% hypertonic saline and NAC). After 24 h, tissues were collected to cytokines, bacterial translocation, and histological assessments. Results: In kidney, interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta) was lower in the groups with fluid resuscitation compared to IO group. The RLNAC showed lower levels compared to the RL. Interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-10 (IL-10), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and (IFN-gamma) were lower in the treatment groups than in IO. In lung, IL-1beta and IL-6 were lower in RLNAC compared to IO. IL-10 was lower in RL, RLNAC and HSNAC compared to IO. TNF-alpha was higher in HSNAC compared to both RL and RLNAC. Bacterial translocation was observed in all animals of IO group. In kidneys, inflammation and congestion degrees were lower in HSNAC compared to RL. In lungs, inflammation levels were higher in RLNAC compared with the sham group. Conclusions: The data indicates that NAC associated with RL can promote a decrease in the inflammatory process in the kidneys and lungs in rats, following intestinal obstruction and ischemia in rats.
