Resumo Neospora caninum é uma das principais causas de perda reprodutiva em bovinos em todo o mundo, pois leva ao aborto e ao reposicionamento animal. Embora o Toxoplasma gondii não cause problemas reprodutivos em bovinos, o consumo de carne bovina crua ou não cozida apresenta risco de transmissão. Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a ocorrência de anticorpos anti-N. caninum e anti-T. gondii em bovinos leiteiros nas regiões Oeste e Noroeste do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil. Um total de 653 amostras de soro de bovinos leiteiros, foi analisado utilizando-se o ensaio de imunofluorescência indireta (IFI). Os dados epidemiológicos das propriedades foram associados aos resultados sorológicos dos animais por meio de regressão logística. As frequências dos anticorpos contra N. caninum e T. gondii foram 41,6% (272/653) e 11,5% (75/653), respectivamente. Foi observada associação estatisticamente significativa entre: soropositividade para N. caninum e raça, histórico de suplementação alimentar para bezerros, introdução de animais externos que, posteriormente, apresentaram problemas reprodutivos e histórico de problemas reprodutivos no segundo trimestre de gestação. Abstract Neospora caninum is a major cause of reproductive loss in cattle worldwide as it leads to abortion and animal repositioning. Although Toxoplasma gondii does not cause a reproductive problem in cattle, consuming raw or uncooked beef poses the risk of transmission. This study aimed to evaluate the occurrence of anti-N. caninum and anti-T. gondii antibodies in dairy cattle in the West and Northwest regions of São Paulo State, Brazil. A total of 653 serum samples from dairy cows were analyzed using an indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA). Epidemiological data from the farms were associated with the serological results of the animals by logistic regression based on the presence of antibodies. The frequencies of the antibodies against N. caninum and T. gondii were 41.6% (272/653) and 11.5% (75/653), respectively. A statistically significant association was observed between: the serum anti-N. caninum antibodies and breed, history of food supplementation for calves, introduction of outside animals that later presented reproductive problems, and history of reproductive problems by the trimester of gestation. Abstract: The minimally invasive endodontic access is not directly associated with tooth discoloration in the presence of bioceramic or epoxy resin-based root canal sealers. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of minimally invasive access and endodontic sealer composition on the color stability of endodontically-treated teeth, the restorative material adaptation, and the presence of remaining filling material in the pulp chamber. Endodontic access surgery was performed in maxillary central incisors, either through conservative or minimally invasive approaches, and the root was filled with AH Plus or Bio-C Sealer. The crown color was measured with a spectrophotometer at baseline and after root obturation, restoration, and specimen storage for one year in an oven. The occurrence of voids in the restoration and the remaining filling material was analyzed using micro-CT scans. The Yellowness Index (YI) and color changes (∆E00) were calculated after each color measurement. Data of micro-CT were submitted to 2-way ANOVA, and YI and ∆E00 were analyzed with repeated-measures ANOVA. Pair-wise comparisons were performed with Tukey's test (α = 0.05). The experimental conditions had no effect on the presence of the remaining material. The minimally invasive access associated with Bio-C Sealer resulted in more voids between the restoration and the remaining filling material. Only the evaluation time affected YI and ∆E00 values. Specimens became more yellow after filling and storage in the oven (the highest ∆E00 values). Abstract The survival of endodontically treated teeth depends on the remaining tooth structure. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of different access cavities on root canal preparation, restorative protocol, and fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth. Fifty-six mandibular molars were divided into control (n=8) and experimental (n=16) groups according to access cavity: Traditional, Conservative, and Truss; and redistributed (n=8) according to instrumentation protocols: Reciproc Blue and R-motion. After, teeth were scanned in micro-CT and then filled and redistributed according to composite resin restoration (n=8): Filtek One BulkFill and Filtek Z350. A new micro-CT scan was performed to analyze the restorative material. Then, samples were submitted to fracture resistance testing and the failure pattern was determined. Data were analyzed using paired T-test, ANOVA, Tukey, and chi-square tests (α=0.05). In Truss, R-Motion promoted less transportation in different thirds of root canals. Higher percentages of voids (5.05%) and filling material (11.7%) were observed in Truss. Fracture resistance values were higher for the control group, followed by Truss, Conservative, and Traditional. The predominant failure pattern was type-II. In Truss, reciprocating instruments with smaller taper showed less canal transportation. Also, Truss provided higher values of fracture resistance, although it presented a higher percentage of voids and remaining filling material. Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the contribution of oral and maxillofacial pathology laboratories (OMPLs) in Brazilian public universities to the diagnosis of lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). A cross-sectional study was performed using biopsy records from a consortium of sixteen public OMPLs from all regions of Brazil (North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast, and South). Clinical and demographic data of patients diagnosed with lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCC between 2010 and 2019 were collected from the patients’ histopathological records. Of the 120,010 oral and maxillofacial biopsies (2010-2019), 6.9% (8,321 cases) were diagnosed as lip (0.8%, 951 cases), oral cavity (4.9%, 5,971 cases), and oropharyngeal (1.2%, 1,399 cases) SCCs. Most cases were from Brazil’s Southeast (64.5%), where six of the OMPLs analyzed are located. The predominant profile of patients with lip and oral cavity SCC was Caucasian men, with a mean age over 60 years, low schooling level, and a previous history of heavy tobacco consumption. In the oropharyngeal group, the majority were non-Caucasian men, with a mean age under 60 years, had a low education level, and were former/current tobacco and alcohol users. According to data from the Brazilian National Cancer Institute, approximately 9.9% of the total lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCCs reported over the last decade in Brazil may have been diagnosed at the OMPLs included in the current study. ABSTRACT Objective: The occurrence of partial remission (honeymoon phase) in type 1 diabetes (T1D) has been associated with a reduced risk of chronic microvascular complications of diabetes. We have published case reports showing that a combination therapy with the DPP-4 inhibitor sitagliptin plus vitamin D3 (VIDPP-4i) can prolong the honeymoon phase in patients with new-onset T1D. In the present case-control study, we investigated the frequency of occurrence of clinical remission (CR) in patients with new-onset T1D after VIDPP-4i treatment. Subjects and methods: In this case-control study, we collected data spanning 10 years from medical records of 46 patients (23 females) recently diagnosed with T1D. Overall, 27 participants with CR (insulin dose-adjusted glycated hemoglobin [IDAA1c] ≤ 9) at 12 or 24 months composed the case group, and 19 participants without CR served as the control group. Chi-square with Yates correction was used to analyze the association between VIDPP-4i use and CR, and odds ratio (OR) was used to determine the chance of CR due to VIDPP-4i treatment exposure. Results: In all, 37 patients (80.4%) experienced CR at some time over 24 months. The mean CR duration was 13.15 ± 9.91 months. Treatment with VIDPP-4i was significantly associated with CR. At 24 months, the OR of CR after VIDPP-4i exposure was 9.0 (95% confidence interval [CI] 2.21-30.18, p = 0.0036). Additionally, 9 (33.6%) and 4 (14.8%) patients in the VIDPP-4i group experienced insulin-free CR at 12 and 24 months, respectively. Conclusion: Therapy with VIDPP-4i was associated with a higher frequency and duration of the honeymoon phase. Randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm these findings. RESUMO. Cuidadores informais de pessoas que vivem com demência tendem a sofrer problemas de saúde mental como resultado dos efeitos negativos associados às tarefas de cuidado. Assim, intervenções psicossociais para essa população são necessárias. O iSupport é um programa de apoio online para cuidadores criado pela Organização Mundial da Saúde. Objetivo: Descrever o desenho de um ensaio clínico randomizado para medir a eficácia da versão iSupport-Brasil na saúde mental e no bem-estar de cuidadores. Métodos: Os participantes serão randomizados em Grupo Intervenção (GI) (n=195) e Grupo Controle (GC) (n=195). Durante três meses, o GI acessará a plataforma iSupport-Brasil, o CG entrará na página eletrônica da Associação Brasileira de Alzheimer e ambos os grupos receberão por e-mail a versão preliminar do e-book Guia de cuidados para a pessoa idosa, do Ministério da Saúde. Os dados serão coletados em três momentos: linha de base, três e seis meses após o início da intervenção. Resultados: Espera-se que seja possível fornecer diversas evidências sobre os efeitos do iSupport-Brasil como alternativa de intervenção online e gratuita, de forma a promover a saúde mental entre os cuidadores de pessoas que vivem com demência. ABSTRACT. Unpaid caregivers of people living with dementia tend to suffer mental health problems as a result of the negative effects associated with the care tasks. Thus, psychosocial interventions for this population group are necessary. iSupport is an online support program for caregivers that was created by the World Health Organization. Objective: To describe the design of a randomized clinical trial to measure the efficacy of the iSupport-Brasil version on caregivers’ mental health and well-being. Methods: The participants will be randomized into Intervention Group (IG) (n=195) and Control Group (CG) (n=195). For three months, the IG will access the iSupport-Brasil platform, the CG will enter the electronic page of the Brazilian Alzheimer’s Association, and both groups will be emailed the preliminary version of the “Guia de cuidados para a pessoa idosa” e-book (a guide to providing care to the elderly) from the Ministry of Health. The data will be collected at three moments: baseline, and three and six months after the beginning of the intervention. Results: It is expected that it will be possible to provide diverse validity evidence about iSupport-Brasil as an online and free intervention alternative, as a preventive means and as a way to promote mental health among caregivers of people living with dementia. Resumo: Introdução: O texto apresenta pesquisa com alunos egressos do Mestrado Profissional em Saúde da Família (PROFSAÚDE) que é uma proposta de formação em rede nacional composta por 25 instituições das cinco regiões do Brasil, realizada na modalidade de ensino a distância (EAD), voltada para o fortalecimento de conhecimentos relacionados à atenção primária à saúde, à gestão em saúde e à educação. Objetivo: Este estudo caracteriza o perfil sociodemográfico e de atuação profissional dos egressos da primeira turma de mestrado profissional em Saúde da Família em rede nacional e identifica as contribuições do curso para a atuação profissional e o fortalecimento do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa que utilizou um questionário com perguntas abertas e fechadas como instrumento de pesquisa. Resultado: Os resultados apresentam o perfil dos egressos, as motivações para realização do curso, os impactos no cotidiano de trabalho e na carreira profissional, bem como a repercussão do produto final do curso nos processos formativos de profissionais da saúde e na assistência. Conclusão: A experiência de formação de profissionais da saúde na modalidade EAD tem potencial pela capacidade de atingir equitativamente diferentes regiões do país, propiciando ao profissional-aluno ferramentas para examinar seu cotidiano e propor soluções aos desafios da atenção primária à saúde, como mencionado pelos egressos em relação à contribuição do produto final do mestrado. Abstract: Introduction: This paper reports research about graduates of the Professional Master’s Degree in Family Health (PROFSAÚDE), a nationwide qualification provided by a network composed of 25 institutions from the five regions of Brazil. The course is administered through distance learning,and is aimed at strengthening knowledge related to Primary Health Care, health management and education. Purpose: To characterize the socio-demographic profile and professional performance of the graduates of the first class of the professional master’s degree in Family Health and identify how the course has contributed to professional performance and to strengthening the Unified Health System (SUS). Method: This research is based on a quantitative approach that used a questionnaire with open and closed questions as a research instrument. Results: The results present the profile of the graduates, their motivations for taking the course, the impacts on their daily work and professional career, as well as the repercussion of the final product of the course in the training processes of health care professionals. Conclusion: The potential of training health professionals through distance learning is showcased by the ability to reach different regions of the country equitably, providing the professional/student with tools to examine their daily lives and propose solutions to the challenges of Primary Health Care, as mentioned by graduates in relation to the contribution of the final product of the Master’s degree. Resumo Objetivo Conhecer e sintetizar a produção científica sobre tecnologias educacionais para abordagens em saúde com adolescentes. Métodos Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura realizada nas bases de dados Pubmed, Web of Science, Scopus, Lilacs, SciELO e BVS, entre abril e julho de 2020. A disponibilidade completa e gratuita dos artigos em português, inglês e/ou espanhol e as publicações realizadas nos últimos cinco anos compuseram os critérios de inclusão. Realizou-se análise descritiva da caracterização dos estudos e do conteúdo. Resultados Foram selecionados 14 artigos, e destacaram-se cartilhas, jogos interativos e vídeos como tecnologias educacionais. A maioria dos estudos contemplou o VI nível de evidência - inclui estudos qualitativos e opiniões de especialistas, sete estudos estavam na língua inglesa e o delineamento predominante foi do tipo metodológico - com nove artigos. Conclusão O objetivo foi alcançado e as evidências apontaram que as tecnologias educacionais são fundamentais para a abordagem de saúde escolar com adolescentes, porém é necessário privilegiar espaços para o diálogo e para as considerações de suas necessidades a fim de aproximá-los dos serviços de saúde.

Abstract Objective To know and synthesize scientific production on educational technologies for health approaches with adolescents. Methods This is an integrative literature review carried out on the PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, LILACS, SciELO and Virtual Health Library databases, between April and July 2020. Full and free availability of articles in Portuguese, English and/or Spanish, and publications carried out in the last five years formed the inclusion criteria. A descriptive analysis of study and content characterization was carried out. Results A total of 14 articles were selected, and booklets, interactive games and videos were highlighted as educational technologies. Most studies contemplated the VI level of evidence, including qualitative studies and expert opinions, seven studies were in English and the predominant design was of the methodological type, with nine articles. Conclusion The objective was achieved and evidence showed that educational technologies are essential for addressing school health with adolescents; however, it is necessary to privilege spaces for dialogue and consideration of their needs in order to bring them closer to health services.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar los síntomas musculoesqueléticos en cuidadores formales e informales de los ancianos y verificar la asociación con factores personales y laborales. Métodos: Estudiotransversal. Los instrumentos para la evaluación fueron el Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física (IPAQ), Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20, Escala de Percepción del Esfuerzo de Borg y el Cuestionario Nórdico de Síntomas Musculoesqueléticos. Resultados: Los cuidadores informales trabajaron más tiempo (60,2% vs. 41%), tuvieron más horas de trabajo (37,4% >12h por día), menos tiempo libre (85,4% vs. 2,5%) y falta de pautas de atención (90,2%). La región con más síntomas musculoesqueléticos fue la columna vertebral y, cuanto mayor la dependencia de los ancianos, mayores son las posibilidades de desarrollar síntomas musculoesqueléticos (OR= 1.3, 95% CI= 1.1-1.6, p <0.05). Conclusión: Factores personales y relacionados con el trabajo fueron más frecuentes en los cuidadores informales y la dependencia de los ancianos interfiere con el aumento de los síntomas musculoesqueléticos en cuidadores. RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar sintomas musculoesqueléticos em cuidadores formais e informais de idosos e verificar a associação com fatores pessoais e relacionados ao trabalho. Método: Trata-se de um estudo transversal. ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate musculoskeletal symptoms in formal and informal caregivers of elderly people, and check association with personal and work-related factors. Methods: this is a cross-sectional study. Instruments for assessment were the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20, Borg’s effort perception scale and Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire. Results: informal caregivers had been working for a longer time (60.2% vs. 41%), had more hours of work (37.4% >12h for day), less time off (85.4% vs. 2.5%) and lack of care guidelines (90.2%). The region with the most musculoskeletal symptoms was the spine and the greater dependence of the elderly, the greater the chances of developing musculoskeletal symptoms (OR= 1.3, 95% CI= 1.1-1.6, p <0.05). Conclusion: personal and work-related factors were more prevalent in informal group and the elderly person’s dependence interferes with the increase in musculoskeletal symptoms of caregivers. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar a caracterização morfológica de frutos de morango de diferentes genótipos, assim como verificar sua conservação pós-colheita. Seis cultivares comerciais (Albion, Aromas, Dover, Festival, Pircinque e San Andreas) e nove clones experimentais (MDA01, MDA19, MDA22, MDA23, MCA89, MCA94, MFA443, MOGSC468 e MFA443PR) foram avaliados. Os frutos foram produzidos em bancadas semi-hidropônicas, em cultivo protegido, e classificados quanto a tamanho, formato, coloração, brilho, posição do aquênio, coloração da polpa, coloração do “coração”, cavidade do fruto e posição das sépalas. Para a análise de póscolheita dos frutos, foram determinadas a perda de massa e a aparência dos frutos durante dez dias de armazenamento. Os genótipos avaliados apresentam alta similaridade entre si quanto à caracterização morfológica. MCA89 e 'Pircinque' são os genótipos mais divergentes em relação aos demais. Há uma associação entre as características cavidade grande, formato reniforme e cavidade média, o que contribui para a seleção indireta dos caracteres desejáveis. No décimo dia de armazenamento, os genótipos MDA01, MDA19, MCA89, MFA443 e 'Dover' ainda apresentam condições aceitáveis para comercialização.

Abstract The objective of this work was to carry out the morphological characterization of strawberry fruit of different genotypes, as well as to verify their postharvest conservation. Six commercial cultivars (Albion, Aromas, Dover, Festival, Pircinque, and San Andreas) and nine experimental clones (MDA01, MDA19, MDA22, MDA23, MCA89, MCA94, MFA443, MOGSC468, and MFA443PR) were evaluated. Fruit were produced on semi-hydroponic gutters in protected cultivation and classified according to size, shape, color, brightness, achene position, pulp color, “heart” color, fruit cavity, and sepal position. For the postharvest analysis of fruit, the loss of mass and the appearance of fruit during ten days of storage were determined. The evaluated genotypes show a high similarity to each other regarding morphological characterization. MCA89 and 'Pircinque' are the most divergent genotypes in relation to the others. There is an association between the characteristics large cavity, reniform shape, and medium cavity, which contributes to the indirect selection of desirable characters. On the tenth day of storage, the MDA01, MDA19, MCA89, MFA443, and 'Dover' genotypes still show acceptable conditions for commercialization.

RESUMO Buscou-se analisar a interlocução das condições e das necessidades de moradia dos usuários em sofrimento psíquico grave dos Serviços Residenciais Terapêuticos em relação à inserção social e à autonomia. Pesquisa transversal realizada com 74 moradores dos Serviços Residenciais Terapêuticos de um município do interior do estado de São Paulo. Foi aplicado Instrumento para Estudos das Condições de Moradias de Portadores de Transtorno Mental Grave. O tratamento dos dados ocorreu por meio do programa Statistical Package Social Sciences, utilizando medidas descritivas e análise estatística com o teste qui-quadrado, considerando Intervalo de Confiança de 95% e p-valor<0,05. Entre os participantes, predominaram: sexo feminino, cor branca, não alfabetizado, sem parceiros e sem vínculo empregatício, morando mais que dois anos no serviço residencial e, em média, há 38 anos em tratamento psiquiátrico. Identificaram-se diferenças entre os serviços residenciais em relação à inserção social e à autonomia dos usuários e se discute a influência da localização geográfica desses serviços. A centralidade das residências terapêuticas à rede de saúde implica a promoção de inserção, autonomia e satisfação dos usuários em sofrimento psíquico grave. Assim, a fragilidade do habitar compromete a efetivação da reabilitação psicossocial compreendida no tripé: trabalho, rede social e moradia.

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to analyze the relation of housing conditions and needs of users with severe mental disorders at therapeutic residential services regarding social inclusion and autonomy. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 74 residents of residential therapeutic services in a city in the countryside of São Paulo. The Instrument for the Study of the Housing Conditions of People with Severe Mental Disorder was applied. Data were processed using the Statistical Package Social Sciences program through descriptive measures and statistical analysis with the chi-square test. A Confidence Interval of 95% and p-value <0.05 were considered. There was a predominance of the variables female gender, white, illiterate, without partners and without employment relationship, with users who had been residing for more than two years in the residential service and who were, on average, 38 years under psychiatric treatment. Differences between residential services in relation to social inclusion and autonomy of users were identified and the influence of the geographic location of these services is discussed. The centrality of therapeutic residences within the health network implies the promotion of insertion, autonomy, and satisfaction of residents. Thus, the fragility of housing compromises the effectiveness of psychosocial rehabilitation comprised in the triad work, social network and housing.

Abstract Wickerhamomyces anomalus LBCM1105 is a yeast isolated from cachaça distillery fermentation vats, notable for exceptional glycerol consumption ability. We report its draft genome with 20.5x in-depth coverage and around 90% extension and completeness. It harbors the sequences of proteins involved in glycerol transport and metabolism.

RESUMO Objetivo: Gerar valores de referência para espirometria em crianças brasileiras de 3-12 anos de idade e comparar os resultados obtidos com as equações em uso no Brasil. Métodos: Foram incluídas crianças sadias de 3-12 anos recrutadas em 14 centros (dados primários) e resultados de espirometria de crianças com as mesmas características de seis bancos de dados (dados secundários). As equações quantílicas foram geradas após transformações logarítmicas dos dados espirométricos e antropométricos. A classificação por cor da pele foi autodeclarada. Os resultados obtidos foram comparados com os previstos nas equações em uso no Brasil para testar sua adequação. Resultados: Foram incluídos 1.990 indivíduos de 21 fontes de dados primários e secundários, sendo 1.059 (53%) do sexo feminino. Equações para VEF1, CVF, VEF1/CVF, FEF25-75% e FEF25-75%/CVF foram geradas para crianças brancas e para crianças negras e pardas. Os logaritmos da estatura e da idade e a cor da pele foram os melhores preditores para VEF1 e CVF. Os resultados obtidos foram significativamente maiores do que as estimativas geradas pelas equações em uso no Brasil, tanto para valores previstos quanto para o limite inferior da normalidade, particularmente em crianças negras e pardas. Conclusões: Novas equações espirométricas foram geradas para crianças brasileiras de 3-12 anos de cor branca, negra e parda. As equações atualmente em uso no Brasil parecem subestimar a função pulmonar de crianças brasileiras menores de 12 anos de idade e deveriam ser substituídas pelas equações propostas neste estudo.

ABSTRACT Objective: To generate reference values for spirometry in Brazilian children 3-12 years of age and to compare those values with the values employed in the equations currently in use in Brazil. Methods: This study involved healthy children, 3-12 years of age, recruited from 14 centers (primary data) and spirometry results from children with the same characteristics in six databases (secondary data). Reference equations by quantile regressions were generated after log transformation of the spirometric and anthropometric data. Skin color was classified as self-reported by the participants. To determine the suitability of the results obtained, they were compared with those predicted by the equations currently in use in Brazil. Results: We included 1,990 individuals from a total of 21 primary and secondary data sources. Of those, 1,059 (53%) were female. Equations for FEV1, FVC, the FEV1/FVC ratio, FEF between 25% and 75% of the FVC (FEF25-75%) and the FEF25-75%/FVC ratio were generated for white-, black-, and brown-skinned children. The logarithms for height and age, together with skin color, were the best predictors of FEV1 and FVC. The reference values obtained were significantly higher than those employed in the equations currently in use in Brazil, for predicted values, as well as for the lower limit of normality, particularly in children with self-reported black or brown skin. Conclusions: New spirometric equations were generated for Brazilian children 3-12 years of age, in the three skin-color categories defined. The equations currently in use in Brazil seem to underestimate the lung function of Brazilian children 3-12 years of age and should be replaced by the equations proposed in this study.

O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi conhecer os usuários vinculados às 12 Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) que se consultaram em uma Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) e receberam classificação de risco pouco urgente, em um munícípio brasileiro de grande porte, em 2017. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa que utilizou dados secundários do serviço. Foram identificados 3.584 usuários que atenderam aos critérios do estudo. Estes representaram 7% do total de usuários dessa UPA que tiveram a mesma classificação. A maioria dos usuários possuía entre 41 e 65 anos (36,3%), principalmente mulheres (62.3%), e preferiram ser atendidos em dias e horários em que as UBSs estavam fechadas. Houve relação positiva entre o número de indivíduos cadastrados em cada UBS e a demanda de consultas pouco urgentes para adultos na UPA; além disso, a faixa etária relacionou-se com o horário de busca do atendimento. Os principais sintomas observados foram: cefaleia; dispneia; e dor abdominal, lombar e de garganta.

The objective of this study was to know the users of 12 Primary Care Units (UBSs) who went to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and were classified as least urgent in a Brazilian large city in 2017. The quantitative approach research used secondary data of the service. A total of 3,584 users met the study’s criteria. They represent 7% of the total users of this UPA who had the same classification. Most of the users were 41 to 65 years old (36.3%), mostly women (62.3%), and preferred days and times the UBSs were closed. There was a positive correlation between the number of individuals registered in each UBS and the demand for least urgent appointments for adults at UPA, and the age range was related to the time they sought the service. The main symptoms observed were: headache, dyspnea, abdominal and back pain, and sore throat.

Conocer a los usuarios vinculados a 12 Unidades Básicas de Salud (UBS), que se consultaron en una Unidad de Urgencias (UPA, por sus siglas en portugués) y recibieron clasificación de riesgo poco urgente en un municipio brasileño de grande porte en 2017. Estudio de abordaje cuantitativo, utilizó datos secundarios del servicio. Se identificaron 3.584 usuarios que atendieron los criterios del estudio. Ellos representaron el 7% del total de usuarios de esta UPA que tuvieron la misma clasificación. La mayoría de los usuarios tenía entre 41 y 65 años (36,3%), principalmente mujeres (62,3%) y prefirieron días y horarios en que las UBS estaban cerradas. Hubo una relación positiva entre el número de individuos registrados en cada UBS y la demanda de consultas poco urgentes para adultos en la UPA y el rango de edad se relacionó con el horario de búsqueda de la atención. Los principales síntomas observados fueron: cefalea, disnea, dolor abdominal, lumbar y de garganta.
