RESUMO Objetivo Avaliar a prevalência de consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados e fatores associados em crianças matriculadas na rede pública do município de Barbacena, Minas Gerais, Brasil. Métodos Trata-se de um estudo transversal realizado com escolares de 7 a 9 anos de ambos os sexos, matriculados na rede pública estadual de ensino. O consumo alimentar foi avaliado utilizando o Questionário Alimentar do Dia Anterior e o nível de atividade física pelo Questionário de Atividade Física do Dia Anterior. Os alimentos listados foram classificados segundo a extensão e propósito do processamento industrial, conforme proposto pela classificação NOVA. Na análise estatística foram utilizados os testes χ2 de Pearson, Exato de Fisher, χ2 com correção de Yates e regressão de Poisson, estimando-se a razão de prevalência bruta e ajustada, com intervalos de confiança de 95%. Resultados A prevalência de consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados foi de 69,6%. Após análises ajustadas, o consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados foi associado à omissão do café da manhã, lanche da tarde e ceia, baixo nível de atividade física e ao consumo de alimentos de risco. Por outro lado, o consumo de alimentos in natura ou minimamente processados foi associado à maior idade, consumo de almoço, lanche da tarde, jantar e alimentos protetivos. Conclusões Verificamos uma alta prevalência no consumo de alimentos ultraprocessados, associada a hábitos alimentares não saudáveis, em crianças escolares. Isso destaca a necessidade de ações de educação alimentar e nutricional, favorecendo o consumo alimentar saudável na infância. Abstract Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of ultra-processed food consumption and associated factors among children enrolled in the public school system of the city of Barbacena, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted with schoolchildren aged 7–9 years, of both sexes, enrolled in state public schools. Food intake was assessed using the Previous Day Food Questionnaire and the level of physical activity by the Previous Day Physical Activity Questionnaire. The listed foods were classified according to the extent and purpose of industrial processing, using the NOVA classification. Abstract The objective of this manuscript was to investigate the influence of different Babassu Mesocarp Flour (BMF) contents (3, 5, 8, and 10% by weight) on the physical and surface properties of the Poly(Lactic Acid) (PLA) matrix. For this purpose, composite films were produced through flat-die extrusion processing. Visual analysis showed that the films were successfully produced by this processing method and exhibited good handling. The physical properties of the films varied as follows: width (16.41‒20.38 cm), thickness (0.14‒0.24 mm), apparent density (0.78‒1.07 g/cm3), and grammage (168.34‒255.31 g/m2). Through optical microscopy, good distribution and dispersion of the particles were observed despite the presence of some agglomerates. The film surface became rough due to the incorporated flour content, which influenced the contact angle result. The combination of PLA/BMF for producing composite films has technological potential, enabling the valorization of an industrial by-product and preserving the environment. Abstract This manuscript explored film production for food packaging using Ecovio® and natural additives (Babassu, Castor, and Cotton Vegetable Oil), emphasizing the oil’s maleinization to optimize compatibility with the polymer. The thermogravimetric analysis revealed variations in the maximum thermal decomposition temperature of maleinized vegetable oils (Thermal event II; natural oil to maleinized oil): from 402 to 338 °C (Babassu), 441 to 446 °C (Castor), and 413 to 430 °C (Cotton). The films were produced by casting, resulting in average thicknesses varying between 0.047 and 0.065 mm, and presented low surface defects. Optical micrographs showed that films with maleinized vegetable oil were more homogeneous due to maleic anhydride. Infrared spectroscopy showed that unsaturated fatty acid bonds affected the matrix and oil interaction. The presence of oils impacted the thermal stability, moisture content, and mechanical properties. This research promotes the use of renewable resources, contributing to the development of sustainable packaging. ABSTRACT Membranous nephropathy is a glomerulopathy, which main affected target is the podocyte, and has consequences on the glomerular basement membrane. It is more common in adults, especially over 50 years of age. The clinical presentation is nephrotic syndrome, but many cases can evolve with asymptomatic non-nephrotic proteinuria. The mechanism consists of the deposition of immune complexes in the subepithelial space of the glomerular capillary loop with subsequent activation of the complement system. ABSTRACT Conservation management practices with minimum soil mobilization, maintenance of amounts of straw in the soil, and chiseling of ratoons interrows can be beneficial to soil quality, nutrition and sugarcane yield; however, the combination of these practices and their influence over the culture cycle should be better understood. This study aimed to assess the effects of levels of remaining straw and chiseling in the cultivation of ratoons on soil fertility, nutritional status and yield of stalks and sugar in one sugarcane cycle (five ratoons), under no-tillage and conventional tillage systems. The study was performed in Dourados municipality, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in areas with a Oxisol (Latossolo) with very clayey texture. Design in randomized blocks was adopted, with four repetitions, in a subdivided portions scheme. Portions were composed of levels of remaining straw (0, 50 and 100 %), annually, and collected alternately in odd years (0I) and even years (0P) established after the plant harvest; sub-portions were composed of systems with and without chiseling. In the fourth ratoon, leaf diagnosis was made with quantification of macro-nutrient contents, and during the fifth ratoon soil samples were collected for chemical analyses. By the end of the cycle, accumulated yields of stalks and sugar were determined. In both management systems, keeping 100 % of straw improved soil fertility and kept higher yield levels in one sugarcane cultivation cycle, while chiseling did not influence soil fertility, nutrition and sugarcane yield. ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe the family’s experience in relation to daily life with a family member experiencing mental suffering. Methods: a qualitative, descriptive, phenomenological study grounded in Merleau-Ponty’s ontology of experience was conducted in ten households in a city in the state of Bahia, Brazil, where 24 participants of the Intersubjectivity Wheels reside. Abstract This study aimed to answer the following question: What is the proportion of acceptance reported by parents toward pediatric behavior guidance techniques (BGTs)? Observational studies that evaluated parental acceptance of BGTs during pediatric dental visits among parents of non-special health care need (non-SHCN) and SHCN children were included. A search of the Cochrane Library, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), MedLine/PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, in addition to gray literature, was performed until October 2021. The Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklist for Analytical Cross-Sectional Studies was used for quality assessment. The certainty of evidence was assessed using the Recommendation, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (Grade). Fifty-three studies with 4868 participants were included, and 42 were retained for the random-effects proportion meta-analysis. The methodological quality varied from low to high. The agreement with the BGTs varied from 85.6% (95%CI: 77.5–92.1; p < 0.001; I 2 = 93.6%; 16 studies; n = 1399) for tell-show-do to 25.7% (95%CI: 17.8–34.4; p < 0.001; I 2 = 90.4%; 12 studies; n = 1129) for passive protective stabilization among non-SHCN children’s parents; meanwhile, among the parents of SHCN children, it varied from 89.1% (95%CI: 56.1–99.7; p < 0.001; I 2 = 95.7%; 3 studies; n = 454) for tell-show-do to 29.1% (95%CI: 11.8–50.0; p = 0.001; I 2 = 84.8%; 3 studies; n = 263) for general anesthesia. The effect estimates varied greatly, as substantial heterogeneity across studies was observed, thus limiting the confidence in the results. RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar os fatores sociodemográficos e de estilo de vida associados à obesidade abdominal em crianças de escolas públicas de Barbacena, Minas Gerais. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal realizado com 326 escolares de sete a nove anos, matriculados em escolas da zona urbana da cidade. As variáveis antropométricas avaliadas foram peso, estatura, índice de massa corpórea por idade, circunferência da cintura e relação cintura-estatura. O consumo alimentar foi registrado pelo Questionário Alimentar do Dia Anterior. A obesidade abdominal foi avaliada com base na circunferência da cintura e relação cintura-estatura. As análises bivariada e multivariada foram realizadas por meio de regressão logística, estimando-se a Odds Ratio (OR) bruta e ajustada, com os intervalos de confiança de 95% (IC95%). Resultados: A prevalência de excesso de peso foi de 30,7%, enquanto a prevalência de obesidade abdominal foi de 9,2 e 12,6%, de acordo com circunferência da cintura e relação cintura-estatura, respectivamente. Crianças do sexo masculino (OR 2,76; IC95% 1,22–6,25) e de escolas centrais (OR 2,73; IC95% 1,08–6,80) tiveram maior chance de apresentar obesidade abdominal segundo a circunferência da cintura. A obesidade abdominal, de acordo com a relação cintura-estatura, associou-se à localização central das escolas (OR 2,18; IC95% 1,02–4,63) e à omissão da ceia (OR 2,01; IC95% 1,00–4,09). Conclusões: Os achados mostraram que ser do sexo masculino, estudar em escola central e omitir a ceia foram os principais fatores de risco associados à obesidade abdominal.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the sociodemographic and lifestyle factors associated with abdominal obesity in children from public schools in Barbacena, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted on 326 students aged 7 to 9 years from public schools in the urban area of the city. Anthropometric data included body weight, height, body mass index according to age, waist circumference, and waist-to-height ratio. Food consumption was evaluated using the Previous Day Food Questionnaire. Abdominal obesity was assessed based on waist circumference and waist-to-height ratio. The bivariate and multivariate analyses were performed by logistic regression, estimating the crude and adjusted odds ratio (OR), with 95% confidence interval. Results: The prevalence of overweight was 30.7%; whereas the prevalence of abdominal obesity was 9.2 and 12.6% according to waist circumference and waist-to-height ratio, respectively. Boys (OR 2.76; 95%CI 1.22–6.25) and children from central schools (OR 2.73; 95%CI 1.08–6.80) presented an increased chance of abdominal obesity according to waist circumference. Abdominal obesity according to waist-to-height ratio was associated with the central location of the schools (OR 2.18; 95%CI 1.02–4.63) and the habit of skipping supper (OR 2.01; 95%CI 1.00–4.09). Conclusions: The findings showed that being a boy, studying in a central school, and skipping supper were the main risk factors associated with abdominal obesity.

Resumo O corante Preto Reativo 5 (RB5 - reactive black 5) é um dos corantes reativos sintéticos mais utilizados na indústria têxtil, devido à sua solubilidade em água e a grupos reativos que formam ligações covalentes com a fibra. No processo de tingimento de tecidos, no entanto, estima-se que 12-14% dos corantes sejam liberados para o efluente. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a biodegradação do corante RB5, adsorvido em espuma de poliuretano, por basidiomicetos (Phanerochaete chrysosporium ATCC 24725, Pleurotus ostreatus e Pleurotus florida). Os resultados foram avaliados considerando a descoloração parcial ou total do meio, a capacidade de adsorção do corante na espuma de poliuretano e a medida respirométrica. Os resultados mostraram que Phanerochaete chrysosporium foi o mais eficicente, sendo capaz de degradar parcialmente RB5 na concentração de 50 mg L-1 em pH 6.0, quando cultivado em pacas de Petri. Quando este microrganismo foi cultivado em cubos de espuma de poliuretano saturada com solução de RB5 (50 mg L-1, pH 6.0) a produção de CO2 atingiu o valor acumulado de 2.16 mg no décimo quinto dia, revelando o crescimento microbiano e a degradação do contaminante, que foi utilizado como fonte de nutrientes.

Abstract Reactive Black 5 (RB5) is one of the synthetic reactive dyes most used in the textile industry, due to its solubility in water and reactive groups which form covalent bonds within the fiber. In the process of dyeing fabrics, however, it is estimated that 12-14% of dyes are released into the effluent. This work evaluated the biodegradation of RB5 dye, adsorbed in polyurethane foam, by basidiomycetes (Phanerochaete chrysosporium ATCC 24725, Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus floridae). Results were evaluated considering the partial- or total medium discoloration, the adsorption capacity of the dye in the polyurethane foam (PUF) and the respirometric measurements. The results showed that Phanerochaete chrysosporium was able to partially degrade 50 mg L-1 of RB5 in pH 6.0, when cultivated in Petri dishes. When this microorganism was cultivated in PUF cubes saturated with RB5 solution (50 mg L-1, pH 6.0), CO2 production reached an accumulated value of 2.16 mg on the fifteenth day, revealing the growth of the microorganism and consequently the contaminant degradation, which was used as the source of nutrients.

RESUMO: O presente estudo teve como objetivo mapear, de forma sistemática, a literatura científica brasileira sobre o tema dos conhecimentos e crenças de professores em relação à Educação Inclusiva. Para localizar os artigos, três bases de dados foram consultadas: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - Psicologia (BVS-PSI), Portal de periódicos da CAPES e Scielo. Os artigos identificados foram classificados de acordo com: ano e periódico; instituição e formação do primeiro autor; natureza da autoria; metodologia; técnicas de coleta; e temas de investigação. Após, analisou-se qualitativamente os resultados dos artigos que de forma mais específica investigaram conhecimentos e crenças. Os resultados indicaram que os estudos são recentes e têm aumentado nos últimos anos. A Educação Especial destacou-se como área que vem realizando essas discussões, sugerindo que a Educação Inclusiva vem sendo de maneira gradual incorporada como campo de discussão de outras áreas da Educação e de áreas afins. Esforços adicionais são necessários para que a Educação Inclusiva seja compreendida em seu caráter educacional, como uma nova forma de conceber os sujeitos e os processos de ensinar e aprender.

ABSTRACT: The present study aimed to systematically map the Brazilian scientific literature about what teachers know and believe regarding Inclusive Education. Thus, three databases were consulted: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - Psicologia (BVS-PSI), Portal de periódicos da CAPES and Scielo. The identified articles were classified according to: year and journal; institution and education of the first author; nature of authorship; methodology; collection techniques; and research topics. After, the findings reported in the articles that specifically investigated knowledge and beliefs were qualitatively analyzed. The analysis shows the studies are recent and interest in the topic is growing. Special Education stood out as the area driving the debates, suggesting that Inclusive Education has been gradually incorporated as a field of discussion within other Educational areas and related fields. Additional efforts are required to ensure the educational character of Inclusive Education is fully understood as a new way of conceiving subjects and the processes of teaching and learning.

RESUMEN: El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo mapear sistemáticamente la literatura científica brasileña sobre el tema de los conocimientos y las creencias de los docentes con relación a la educación inclusiva. Para localizar los artículos, se consultaron tres bases de datos: Biblioteca Virtual en Salud - Psicología (BVS-PSI), Portal de revistas CAPES y Scielo. Los artículos identificados se clasificaron según: año y periódico; institución y formación del primer autor; naturaleza de la autoría; metodología; técnicas de recolección; y temas de investigación. Posteriormente, los resultados de los artículos que investigaron más específicamente el conocimiento y las creencias fueron analizados cualitativamente. Los resultados indicaron que los estudios son recientes y han aumentado en los últimos años. La Educación Especial se destacó como un área que ha estado llevando a cabo estas discusiones, lo que sugiere que la Educación Inclusiva se ha incorporado gradualmente como un campo de discusión en otras áreas de la Educación y áreas relacionadas. Se requieren esfuerzos adicionales para que la Educación Inclusiva se entienda en su carácter educativo, como una nueva forma de concebir las sujetos y los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.

RESUMO: Dentre as enfermidades que acometem o sistema reprodutivo dos animais domésticos, a brucelose na espécie ovina tem se destacado por gerar prejuízos econômicos significativos à ovinocultura. Dessa forma, apresenta-se como uma ameaça ao crescimento e à produtividade dos rebanhos ovinos. Diante de tal problemática, objetivou-se, por meio desta pesquisa, identificar a prevalência de brucelose ovina em rebanhos pertencentes a municípios da microrregião de Teresina, Piauí, por meio dos testes sorológicos, imunodifusão em gel de ágar (IDGA) e ensaio imunoenzimático (ELISA) indireto. Quatorze municípios foram incluídos na pesquisa. Para sua execução, colheram-se, por punção venosa da jugular, amostras sanguíneas de 521 animais púberes. Após colheita, as amostras foram submetidas às técnicas sorológicas, IDGA e ELISA indireto, para a detecção de anticorpos anti-B. ovis. Das 521 amostras submetidas ao teste de IDGA, 23 (4,41%) foram sororreagentes e 498 (95,58%) negativas. Quanto ao teste ELISA indireto, obtiveram-se 24 (4,61%) amostras suspeitas e 497 (95,39%) amostras negativas, não havendo animais reagentes neste teste, apenas suspeitos. A soroprevalência da brucelose ovina na microrregião homogênea de Teresina, Piauí, foi de 4,41%. Assim, foi possível identificar ovinos com sorologia reagente à infecção por B. ovis, presente em municípios do estado do Piauí. Além disso, a IDGA mostrou-se mais sensível em detectar animais que tiveram contato com o agente etiológico da doença.

ABSTRACT: Among the diseases that affect the reproductive system of domestic animals, brucellosis in the sheep species is important because it generates significant economic losses to sheep rearing. Thus, it is a threat to the growth and productivity of sheep herds. In the face of this problem, the objective of the present research was to identify the prevalence of ovine brucellosis in herds in municipalities of the Teresina, Piauí, Brazil microregion by using the agar gel immunodiffusion assay (AGID) and indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) serological tests. Fourteen municipalities were included in the research. Blood samples were collected from 521 pubescent animals by puncturing the jugular vein. After collection, the samples were submitted to the serological techniques, AGID and indirect ELISA, to detect anti B. ovis antibody. Of the 521 samples submitted to the AGIDtest, 23 (4.41%) were sera reagent and 498 (95.58%) negative. The indirect ELISA tests, 24 (4.61%) suspect samples and 497 (95.39%) negative samples were obtained, and there were no reagent animals in this test, only suspect. The seroprevalence of ovine brucellosis in the Teresina, Piauí microregion was 4.41%. Thus, it is possible to identify sheep with reagent serology to infection by B. ovis, that is present in municipalities in the state of Piauí, Brazil. Furthermore, AGIDwas shown to be more sensitive in detecting animals that had had contact with the etiological agent of the disease.

Resumo Os fungos pleurotus são basidiomicetos que se destacam na degradação de compostos orgânicos de natureza recalcitrante, como derivados de lignina e compostos fenólicos. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar comparativamente a capacidade dos fungos Pleurotus ostreatus POS 560 e Pleurotus floridae PSP1 na degradação de 2,4 e 2,6-dinitrotolueno (DNTs) em efluente da indústria de explosivos. A caracterização indicou 318 mg L-1 de DNTs, 246 mg L-1 de DQO e fator de toxicidade para Daphnia magna correspondente a 8. A condução de um estudo multivariado estimou a influência das variáveis pH (5.0 e 6.0), concentração de co-substrato (10 e 20 g L-1 de glicose) e espécies do fungo Pleurotus (ostreatus e floridae) sobre a degradação de DNTs, tendo indicado que as variáveis Fungo e [Glicose] se mostraram significativas (p<0.05) apresentando efeitos da ordem de +4.45±0.26 e -1.14±0.26, respectivamente. A reprodução das melhores condições de eficiência (P. floridae; pH 6,0 e 10 g L-1 de glicose) em frascos agitados (100 rpm, 26oC) foi capaz de promover em 14 dias de tratamento remoções de matéria orgânica e fator de toxicidade em níveis da ordem de 55 e 50%, respectivamente, além da completa degradação de DNTs a qual ocorreu nas primeiras 120 horas de tratamento, período durante o qual também foi caracterizada atividade máxima das enzimas peroxidase e Mn-peroxidase, sugerindo alto potencial do bioprocesso em estudo para remediação de efluentes contaminados com compostos nitroaromáticos.

Abstract Pleurotus fungi are basidiomycetes that stand out in the degradation of recalcitrant organic compounds such as lignin derivatives and phenolic compounds. The aim of this study was to make a comparative evaluation of the capacity of the Pleurotus ostreatus POS 560 and Pleurotus floridae PSP1 fungi in the degradation of 2,4 and 2,6-dinitrotoluene (DNTs) in effluent from an explosive factory. The characterization of the effluent indicated 318 mg L-1 of DNTs, 246 mg L-1 of COD and toxicity factor for Daphnia magna corresponding to 8. The conduct of a multivariate study estimated the influence of the variables pH (5.0 and 6.0), co-substrate concentration (10 and 20 g L-1 of glucose) and species of the fungus Pleurotus (ostreatus and floridae) on the degradation of DNTs, indicating that the variables Fungus and [Glucose] were significant (p <0.05) presenting effects in the order of + 4.45 ± 0.26 and -1.14 ± 0.26, respectively. The reproduction of the best efficiency conditions (P. floridae; pH 6.0 and 10 g L-1 of glucose) in agitated flasks (100 rpm, 26oC) was able to carry out, within 14 days of treatment, the removal of organic matter and toxicity factor in levels on the order of 55 and 50%, respectively, in addition to the complete degradation of DNTs which occurred in the first 120 hours of treatment. In this period, the maximum activity of the peroxidase and Mn-peroxidase enzymes was also characterized, suggesting high potential of the bioprocess under study for remediation of effluents contaminated with nitroaromatic compounds.

This article contributes to an analysis of the image of the destination Natal / RN-Brasil, from the user-generated content on TripAdvisor. The analysis and textual codification sought to identify the cognitive, affective and connative components present in the comments of the tourists. In general, the results achieved by both the descriptive analysis and theautomatic model, point to a high probability of the cognitive aspects of the city. At the same time it is a warning for the low probability of affective and conative in the comments, which reflects a weakening of the recommendation of the destination. The results also indicate the strengthening of the itinerary of beaches, while indicating little visibility of the cultural and historical route.

El presente artículo contribuye con un análisis de la imagen del destino Natal/RN-Brasil, a partir del contenido generado por los usuarios en TripAdvisor. El análisis y la codificación textual buscaron identificar los componentes cognitivos, afectivos y conativos presentes en los comentarios de los turistas. Se aplicaron técnicas computacionales avanzadas de Procesamiento de Lenguaje Natural y Aprendizaje de Máquinas para el tratamiento de 31.779 comentarios y la clasificación de modelos. En general, los resultados alcanzados tanto por el análisis descriptivo como por el modelo automático, indican una alta probabilidad de los aspectos cognitivos de la ciudad. Al mismo tiempo que alerta sobre la baja probabilidad de los aspectos afectivos y conativos en los comentarios, lo que refleja un debilitamiento de la recomendación del destino. Los resultados también indican el fortalecimiento del itinerario de playas, mientras señala escasa visibilidad del itinerario cultural e histórico.

RESUMO. Neste ensaio, avaliou-se a germinação e o vigor de sementes de quinoa, acondicionadas em sacos de papel e armazenadas à temperatura ambiente durante 36, 85, 119, 146, 177 e 270 dias. Semearam-se quatro repetições de 100 sementes, de cada período de armazenamento, sendo as mesmas avaliadas, sob papel, em BOD, sob as seguintes condições experimentais de temperatura: alternância de temperaturas de 20 e 30ºC e temperatura constante de 25ºC. As sementes de ambos os tratamentos foram dispostas em fotoperíodo de sete horas, adicionalmente, outras em 25ºC e escuro contínuo. A contagem de sementes germinadas foi realizada diariamente, durante oito dias após a semeadura, sendo avaliados a porcentagem de plântulas normais, anormais e o índice de velocidade de germinação. O delineamento experimental empregado foi inteiramente casualizado no esquema de parcela subdividida. Com o aumento do período de armazenamento, ocorreu diminuição do percentual de sementes germinadas e vigor das sementes, devido ao aumento do número de plântulas anormais. Durante o período de 430 dias, as sementes de quinoa perderem todo seu potencial de germinação sob as condições experimentais. A germinação total de sementes de quinoa deve ser avaliada 7 dias após o início do teste de germinação.

ABSTRACT. In this experiment, we assessed the germination and vigor of quinoa seeds packed in paper bags and stored at room temperature for 36, 85, 119, 146, 177 and 270 days. The seeds were harvested under experimental conditions in Marechal Candido Rondon, Paraná, during the 2012/13 growing seasons. Four replicates of 100 seeds each were established for each storage time, and the seeds were evaluated, on paper, based on the BOD under the following experimental temperature conditions: alternating temperatures of 20 and 30°C and a constant temperature of 25°C. The seeds from both treatments were subject to seven-hour photoperiods and 25°C under continuous darkness. The germinated seeds were counted daily for eight days after sowing, and we evaluated the percentages of normal and abnormal seedlings and the germination index. The experimental design was completely randomized using a split-plot design. Increasing the storage time decreased the percentage of germinated seeds and seed vigor due to the increased number of abnormal seedlings. Over the 430-day study period, quinoa seed germination completely declined under the experimental conditions. The final number of germinating seeds should be evaluated 7 days after the beginning of the germination test.
