RESUMO: O estudo foi realizado em um ovino, fêmea, de três anos de idade, da raça santa inês, procedente de uma propriedade localizada do município de Santo Antônio de Tauá, oeste do Pará. O animal acometido tinha histórico de exoftalmia no olho esquerdo, secreção nasal e dificuldade respiratória há mais de três meses. Ao exame físico o animal apresentava baixo escore corporal, apatia, assimetria facial unilateral, moderada exoftalmia unilateral esquerda, dispneia mista e exsudação nasal serossanguinolenta profusa unilateral. À necropsia, foi observada grande massa nasal, predominantemente branco-amarelada com áreas vermelho enegrecidas, de superfície irregular, finamente granular, úmida e friável. A massa invadia desde a junção mucocutânea do nariz esquerdo até as coanas, se infiltrava pelos seios nasais frontais, placa cribiforme e alcançava as meninges e a porção frontal do cérebro. À microscopia da superfície do epitélio nasal notou-se severa destruição dos cornetos e dos epitélios, evidenciada por extensas áreas de necrose com muitos debris celulares, ulceração e infecção bacteriana secundária. No sistema nervoso central (SNC) havia meningite piogranulomatosa com acentuada congestão de vasos, focos de necrose e inflamação granulomatosa. ABSTRACT: The study was conducted on a 3-year-old female Santa Inês sheep from a property located in the municipality of Santo Antônio de Tauá, west of Pará. The affected animal had a history of exophthalmos in the left eye, nasal discharge, and breathing difficulty for more than three months. On physical examination, the animal had a low body score, apathy, unilateral facial asymmetry, moderate unilateral left exophthalmos, mixed dyspnea and unilateral profuse serosanguinous nasal discharge. At necropsy, a large nasal mass was observed, predominantly yellowish-white with blackish-red areas, with an irregular, finely granular, moist, and friable surface. The mass invaded from the mucocutaneous junction of the left nostril to the choanae, infiltrated the frontal sinuses, the cribiform plate, and reached the meninges and the frontal portion of the brain. Microscopy of the surface of the nasal epithelium showed severe destruction of the turbinates and epithelia, evidenced by extensive areas of necrosis with a large amount of cellular debris, ulceration, and secondary bacterial infection. In the central nervous system there was pyogranulomatous meningitis with marked vessel congestion, as well as foci of necrosis and granulomatous inflammation. Immunohistochemistry showed intense staining of numerous intralesional hyphae for antibodies against Conidiobolus lamprauges. The diagnosis of granulomatous rhinitis of mycotic origin associated with the Conidiobolus lamprauges was based on epidemiological, clinical-pathological, and immunohistochemical data. Resumo Enquadramento: A ventilação não invasiva (VNI) constitui uma estratégia terapêutica à pessoa com insuficiência respiratória aguda (IRA). Objetivo: Analisar a relação entre as variáveis sociodemográficas e clínicas, das pessoas internadas na medicina interna, e a adaptação e complicações da VNI. Metodologia: Estudo observacional retrospetivo de coorte, com amostra de 239 pessoas. A colheita de dados foi efetuada através de registos eletrónicos no SClínico, utilizando um guia de extração de dados. Resultados: Verificou-se que 25,1% das pessoas estavam inadaptadas à VNI, associando-se significativamente com a alimentação oral, confusão e uso de contenção mecânica. As complicações verificaram-se em 33,5% da amostra, sendo as mais frequentes secreções, lesão no nariz e vómitos. Constatou-se uma associação estatisticamente significativa entre o número de complicações e pessoas alimentadas por sonda nasogástrica (SNG), confusas, com medidas de contenção mecânica e a utilizarem máscara oro-nasal. Conclusão: A vigilância da pessoa submetida a VNI deve ser assegurada por uma equipa de enfermagem especializada. Devem ser implementados protocolos conducentes à prevenção de complicações e promotores de adaptabilidade à VNI.

Abstract Background: Non-invasive ventilation is a therapeutic strategy for patients with acute respiratory failure. Objective: To analyze the relationship between the sociodemographic and clinical variables of patients hospitalized in internal medicine services and the adaptation to and complications of non-invasive ventilation. Methodology: A retrospective observational cohort study was carried out with a sample of 239 patients. Data were collected from electronic records in the information system SClínico, using a data extraction guide. Results: A total of 25.1% of the participants did not adapt to non-invasive ventilation, and this was significantly associated with oral feeding, confusion, and the use of mechanical restraint measures. Complications occurred in 33.5% of the sample. The most frequent complications were secretions, nasal injuries, and vomiting. There was a statistically significant association between the number of complications and patients fed by nasogastric tube, confused, with mechanical restraint measures, and wearing an oronasal mask. Conclusion: The monitoring of patients on non-invasive ventilation should be carried out by a specialized nursing team. Protocols should be implemented to prevent complications and promote patient adaptation to non-invasive ventilation.

Resumen Marco contextual: La ventilación no invasiva (VNI) es una estrategia terapéutica para las personas con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda (IRA). Objetivo: Analizar la relación entre las variables sociodemográficas y clínicas de las personas ingresadas en medicina interna y la adaptación y complicaciones de la VNI. Metodología: Estudio observacional retrospectivo de cohortes con una muestra de 239 personas. Los datos se recogieron a través de registros electrónicos en SClínico, mediante una guía de extracción de datos. Resultados: Se observó que el 25,1% de las personas no eran aptas para la VNI, lo que se asoció significativamente con la alimentación oral, la confusión y el uso de contención mecánica. Se produjeron complicaciones en el 33,5% de la muestra, y las más frecuentes fueron secreciones, lesiones en la nariz y vómitos. Se encontró una asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el número de complicaciones y las personas alimentadas por sonda nasogástrica (SNG), confusas, con medidas de contención mecánica y que utilizaban mascarilla oronasal. Conclusión: La persona sometida a VNI debe ser controlada por un equipo de enfermería especializado. Deben aplicarse protocolos para prevenir complicaciones y favorecer la adaptabilidad a la VNI.

Abstract We quilombola women, a documentary that considers the quilombola identity and the right to COVID-19 vaccination, evokes notions of priority, rights, privileges and identity during the process of matching the number of vaccine doses available to citizens’ arms. Omission by a Brazilian federal government grounded in necro-politics and denial, plus a lack of information, led quilombo communities to take it on themselves to draw up lists of those eligible for vaccination. The production team’s aim was to use images as political language in the health field, so as to document and give visibility to these issues as one illustration of combating social and health inequalities and inequities rooted in structural racism. By combining science and art and interlacing references from the sociology of images, visual anthropology, plus the work and aesthetic devices of Eduardo Coutinho, the audiovisual production method brought out three key categories: I, We, and They, quilombola women. This article explores these categories underpinning construction of the documentary narrative, which drew on the potential of images, which in turn served as anti-racist, political and educational devices, both in the course of the production process and during the public screenings.

ELAS quilombolas, documentário que aborda a identidade quilombola e o direito à vacinação contra a COVID-19, faz emergir noções como prioridade, direito, privilégio e identidade durante o processo que precisa vincular os números de doses a braços de cidadãos. No Brasil, diante da omissão do governo federal, fundamentada na necropolítica e no negacionismo, a falta de informações levou as comunidades quilombolas a se responsabilizarem pela construção das listas de aptos a receberem a vacina. O objetivo da produção foi utilizar as imagens como linguagem política na área da saúde, documentando e dando visibilidade para essas questões, como ilustração de processos de enfrentamento das desigualdades e iniquidades sociais e de saúde pautadas no racismo estrutural. Ao associar ciência e arte, o método de produção audiovisual, entrelaçado com os referenciais da sociologia das imagens, da antropologia visual e dos dispositivos de produção e estética de Coutinho, emergiram três categorias: o eu, o nós e o elas. Este artigo apresenta as categorias que embasaram a construção narrativa do documentário a partir das potencialidades das imagens, que se apresentaram como dispositivo político-pedagógico antirracista, tanto durante o processo de produção quanto ao longo das exibições públicas.

Abstract The aim is to analyze the trend in breast cancer mortality rates and its correlation with the socioeconomic development status in Brazil. It involved an ecological time series study carried out in the 26 units of the federation, Federal District and regions of Brazil. Data sources included the Mortality Information System (number of deaths), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (resident population) and the study of the Global Burden of Disease (Socio-demographic Index - SDI). Data from 2005 to 2019 were used. The trend was analyzed using Prais-Winsten regression models. The relationship between the mortality rate and the SDI was analyzed using Spearman’s correlation coefficient. During the study period, 207,683 deaths from breast cancer occurred. The average standardized mortality rate was 19.95 deaths per 100,000 women in Brazil. All the regions of Brazil showed an increasing trend in mortality. Of the total federative units, 22 showed an increasing trend. There was a positive relationship between the mortality rate and the SDI. The standardized mortality rate for breast cancer showed an increasing trend in Brazil, in all regions and in most states. There was a direct association between mortality and SDI, indicating a greater magnitude in more developed regions.

Resumo O objetivo é analisar a tendência da taxa de mortalidade por câncer de mama e sua correlação com o status de desenvolvimento socioeconômico no Brasil. Estudo ecológico de séries temporais realizado nos 26 estados, Distrito Federal e regiões do Brasil. As fontes de dados foram o Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade (número de óbitos), o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (população residente) e o estudo da Carga Global de Doenças (socio-demographic index - SDI). Foram usados dados de 2005 a 2019. A tendência foi analisada pelos modelos de regressão de Prais-Winsten. A relação entre a taxa de mortalidade e o SDI foi analisada pelo coeficiente de correlação de Spearman. No período do estudo ocorrerem 207.683 óbitos por câncer de mama. A taxa padronizada de mortalidade média foi de 19,95 óbitos por 100.000 mulheres no Brasil. O Brasil e todas as regiões apresentaram tendência crescente da mortalidade. Do total de estados, 22 apresentaram tendência crescente. Verificou-se relação positiva entre a taxa de mortalidade e o SDI. A taxa de mortalidade padronizada por câncer de mama apresentou tendência crescente no Brasil, em todas as regiões e na maioria das unidades da federação. Verificou-se associação direta entre mortalidade e SDI, indicando maior magnitude em regiões mais desenvolvidas.

ABSTRACT Objective: To describe the long-term health outcomes of neonates affected by necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and its implications for quality of life. Data source: This is an integrative review, conducted by searching the literature in the following databases: Virtual Health Library (BVS), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), and PubMed, using Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): “necrotizing enterocolitis,” “quality of life,” and “prognosis” combined with the Boolean operators AND and OR: “quality of life” OR “prognosis.” Inclusion criteria were: publication period between 2012 and 2022. Resumo Introdução O smartphone, dispositivo móvel e popular, tornou-se atrativo pela facilidade de utilização e multifuncionalidade. Seu uso prolongado, com flexão anterior do pescoço e movimentos repetitivos dos membros superiores, contribui para sintomas musculoesqueléticos. Objetivo Avaliar as alterações da postura cervical pelo uso do smartphone em adultos, bem como verificar a associação da postura com fatores relacionados à saúde. Métodos Estudo transversal, em duas universidades em Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, entre 2018 e 2019. Participaram 769 adultos (>18 anos) que usavam rotineiramente o smartphone. Foram coletadas variáveis socioeconômicas, condições de saúde e uso do smartphone. Realizou-se a avaliação do alinhamento postural da cervical, sendo mensurado o alinhamento vertical da cabeça (AVC) pela fotogrametria, na posição anatômica (baseline) e digitando no smartphone. Resultados A idade média foi de 23 anos (± 6,7), com maior proporção do sexo feminino (72,1 %; n = 559) e média de 7,9h (± 4,4) utilizando o dispositivo. Abstract Introduction The smartphone, a popular mobile device, has become attractive because it is easy to use and due to it multifunctionality. Its prolonged use, with anterior flexion of the neck and repetitive movements of the upper limbs, contributes to musculoskeletal symptoms. Objective To evaluate changes in cervical posture due to smartphone use in adults, as well as verify the association of posture with health-related factors. Methods Cross-sectional study, carried out at two universities in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, between 2018 and 2019. A total of 769 adults (>18 years old) who routinely used smartphones participated. Data on socioeconomic variables, health conditions and smartphone use were collected. The cervical postural alignment was assessed, with the vertical head alignment (VHA) being measured using photogrammetry, in the anatomical position (baseline) and while typing on the smartphone. Results The mean age was 23 years (± 6.7), with a higher proportion of females (72.1%; n = 559) and an average of 7.9h (± 4.4) using the device. Smartphone use led to the forward head movement related to males (p < 0.05 by ΔVHA), time spent using the device (p < 0.05 by ΔVHA), functional disability in the cervical region (p < 0.05 by ΔVHA) and not sleeping well (p = 0.019 by ΔVHA on the R side). Abstract Among the vegetables produced in the organic system, there are the brassicas as the largest group in Brazil, and in brassicas, one of the most important pathogens is Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc), which causes black rot of crucifers. The importance of this bacterium is increased because it is transmitted by seeds. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of thermotherapy in kale seeds, produced in the organic system, on the physiological seed quality and on Xcc control. Sixteen treatments were evaluated [factorial scheme: four lots of kale seeds (10714, 10751, 10756 and 10789) and four treatments (control, seeds inoculated with Xcc, seeds inoculated and treated at 50°C for 20 and 40 minutes)], in a completely randomized design, with four replicates. Germination, seed vigor (first count) and Xcc incidence were evaluated. Thermotherapy in kale seeds at 50°C for 20 and 40 minutes of exposure reduces the infection of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris to 10% and 4%, respectively. However, in a seed lot with low initial seed vigor, the heat treatment reduces the germination rate and first count in the germination test. Resumen: Los accidentes en la infancia tienen una alta tasa de morbimortalidad y, muchas veces, son prevenibles, por lo que refuerza la importancia de medidas educativas para prevenir lesiones no intencionales. El objetivo de estudio fue identificar y describir estrategias educativas útiles para la prevención de accidentes en la infancia en el contexto comunitario. Esta revisión sistemática fue guiada por PRISMA (2020) y registrada en la plataforma PROSPERO (ID: CRD42024500956). Se realizó una búsqueda combinando los descriptores “Accident Prevention” (prevención de accidentes), “Child” (niño) y “Health Education” (educación en salud) con el operador booleano AND, aplicado a las bases de datos PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, LILACS y SciELO. Se encontraron 5.037 estudios, que incluye artículos observacionales publicados entre 2018-2023, con niños de 0 a 12 años y/o sus padres/cuidadores. La calidad de los estudios se evaluó considerando los criterios de los instrumentos Qualitative Studies Checklist y Research Triangle Institute Item Bank. La muestra bibliográfica consistió en 30 artículos, en su mayoría clasificados como de alta calidad, realizados con una población de 4.510 adultos y 54.190 niños de varios países. Abstract: Accidents in childhood have a high morbidity and mortality rate and are often preventable, which reinforces the importance of educational measures to prevent unintentional injuries. This study aimed to identify and describe useful educational strategies for preventing childhood accidents in communities. This systematic review was guided by PRISMA (2020) and registered on the PROSPERO platform (ID: CRD42024500956). A search strategy was developed by combining the descriptors “Accident Prevention”, “Child”, and “Health Education” with the Boolean operator AND, applied to the PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, LILACS, and SciELO databases. A total of 5,037 studies were located, including observational articles published from 2018 to 2023, with children aged 0-12 years and/or their parents/caregivers. The quality of the studies was assessed based on the Qualitative Studies Checklist and the Research Triangle Institute Item Bank instruments. The bibliographic sample consisted of 30 articles, mostly classified as high quality, with a population of 4,510 adults and 54,190 children from various countries. Educational strategies for accident prevention were described, aimed at parents and guardians, children, and both. This review, addressing innovative educational strategies for preventing childhood accidents, highlights playful approaches for children and visual methods for caregivers. Abstract We quilombola women, a documentary that considers the quilombola identity and the right to COVID-19 vaccination, evokes notions of priority, rights, privileges and identity during the process of matching the number of vaccine doses available to citizens’ arms. Resumo O objetivo é analisar a tendência da taxa de mortalidade por câncer de mama e sua correlação com o status de desenvolvimento socioeconômico no Brasil. Estudo ecológico de séries temporais realizado nos 26 estados, Distrito Federal e regiões do Brasil. As fontes de dados foram o Sistema de Informação sobre Mortalidade (número de óbitos), o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (população residente) e o estudo da Carga Global de Doenças (socio-demographic index - SDI). Foram usados dados de 2005 a 2019. A tendência foi analisada pelos modelos de regressão de Prais-Winsten. A relação entre a taxa de mortalidade e o SDI foi analisada pelo coeficiente de correlação de Spearman. No período do estudo ocorrerem 207.683 óbitos por câncer de mama. Abstract The aim is to analyze the trend in breast cancer mortality rates and its correlation with the socioeconomic development status in Brazil. It involved an ecological time series study carried out in the 26 units of the federation, Federal District and regions of Brazil. Data sources included the Mortality Information System (number of deaths), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (resident population) and the study of the Global Burden of Disease (Socio-demographic Index - SDI). Data from 2005 to 2019 were used. The trend was analyzed using Prais-Winsten regression models. The relationship between the mortality rate and the SDI was analyzed using Spearman’s correlation coefficient. During the study period, 207,683 deaths from breast cancer occurred. Resumo O objetivo é avaliar o efeito de diferentes tratamentos superficiais e do envelhecimento na resistência ao cisalhamento da zircônia ultratranslúcida. Foram confeccionados 36 blocos de zircônia ultratranslúcida (7x7x2mm) e sinterizados. Em seguida, divididos em 12 grupos de acordo com o “tratamento de superfície” (C-Primer; Al-Jateamento com Al2O3+Primer; Si-Silicato+Primer; Gl -Glaze+HF+Primer; Z-Zirlink; Zp-Zirlink+Primer) e fatores de “armazenamento” (ST-com, 150 dias/37º e sem). Após o tratamento superficial, foram construídos cinco cilindros (Ø=2mm; h=2,0mm) de cimento resinoso (n=15) em cada bloco cerâmico; ao final foi realizado o ensaio de resistência ao cisalhamento (1mm/min, 50Kgf) e análise de falhas superficiais. Foram confeccionadas 60 amostras adicionais (2x2x2mm) para análises extras (rugosidade superficial, MEV e EDS). Os dados de resistência de união e rugosidade superficial foram avaliados estatisticamente por ANOVA (2 fatores/1fator), teste de Tukey (5%) e análise de Weibull, respectivamente. ANOVA (2 fatores) revelou que todos os fatores foram estatisticamente significativos para a resistência de união. Os grupos de silicatização (SiST: 30,47AMPa; Si: 29,21AMPa) apresentaram os maiores valores de resistência de união, independente do armazenamento (Tukey). Enquanto os grupos tratados com Zirlink (ZST: 2,76FMPa; Z: 5,27EFMPa) apresentaram os valores mais baixos, apenas semelhantes ao grupo GlST (5,14EFMPa). Abstract The objective is to evaluate the effect of different surface treatments and storage on the shear strength of ultratranslucent zirconia. 36 blocks of ultra-translucent zirconia were fabricated (7x7x2mm) and sintered. Then, divided into 12 groups according to the “surface treatment” (C -Primer; Al -Sandblasting with Al2O3 + Primer; Si -Silicate + Primer; Gl -Glaze + HF + Primer; Z -Zirlink; Zp -Zirlink + Primer) and “storage” factors (ST-with 150 days/37º and without). After surface treatment, five cylinders (Ø=2mm; h=2.0mm) of resin cement (n=15) were constructed in each ceramic block; at the end, the shear strength test was performed (1mm/min, 50Kgf), and analysis of surface failures. 60 additional samples (2x2x2mm) were made for extras analysis (surface roughness, MEV, and EDS). Abstract Background In general, patients are referred for rheumatological evaluation due to isolated laboratory abnormalities, especially antinuclear antibody (ANA) positivity, with the risk of more severe patients remaining on the waiting list for longer than desired. The aim of this study was to analyze the demographic, clinical, and laboratory information of patients referred to a specialized rheumatological care unit because of positive antinuclear antibody. Methods This is a retrospective study of 99 out of 1670 patients seen by the same rheumatologist between 01/01/2011 and 01/01/2019. Patients whose referrals were exclusively due to the ANA test result and the specialist’s final diagnosis being “abnormal finding of serum immunological test” (ICD-10 R769) were included. Sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory information were extracted from the consulting rheumatologist’s chart. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Results A total of 99 patients were included, most of whom were female (84.8%) with a median age of 49 years. At the moment of specialist’s appointment, 97 patients (97.9%) repeated the ANA test, and 77 patients remained positive. Of these, only 35 (35.35%) were in a high titer range (greater than or equal to 1:320). Complete blood count for cytopenia’s investigation was not performed in a high percentage of patients (22.2%), as well as urinalysis (31.3%). In addition, more than 70% of patients score 0 to 1 classification criteria for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, according to SLE - ACR 1987 (American College of Rheumatology) and SLICC 2012 (Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics). RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar o conteúdo publicado nos Anais do 71º Congresso Brasileiro de Enfermagem e do 20º Seminário Nacional de Pesquisa em Enfermagem na área da saúde sexual e reprodutiva. ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the content published in the Proceedings of the 71st Brazilian Nursing Congress and the 20th National Research Seminar in the field of sexual and reproductive health. RESUMO A couve-de-folhas é uma das hortaliças folhosas mais cultivadas no Brasil, porém seu melhoramento ainda é limitado. Portanto, é crucial desenvolver pesquisas que explorem a diversidade genética dos germoplasmas disponíveis, visando estabelecer cruzamentos promissores nas populações estudadas. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a divergência genética entre progênies de meios-irmãos de couve-de-folhas obtidas por seleção recorrente e selecionar as progênies mais promissoras para compor uma população recombinante utilizando métodos multivariados. Como tratamentos, foram avaliadas plantas obtidas a partir de sementes de 25 progênies de meio-irmãos pré-selecionadas e três cultivares comerciais. Para produzir essas sementes, clones das progênies foram submetidos a recombinação em 2018, com subsequente seleção de sementes de plantas com desempenho agronômico superior. Foram avaliadas doze características quantitativas e quinze qualitativas em cada parcela, totalizando vinte e sete características avaliadas. O estudo da divergência genética foi realizado através de variáveis canônicas para os dados quantitativos. O método UPGMA foi aplicado a dados quantitativos, qualitativos e combinados, utilizando-se a distância genética de Mahalanobis. As três primeiras variáveis canônicas explicaram 73,75% da variação total acumuladas quando comparadas às cultivares comerciais, e 55,29% quando considerado exclusivamente as progênies meios-irmãos. As progênies de meios-irmãos P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P9, P11, P15, P16, P18, P20, P22, P23, P24 e P25 foram as mais divergentes e devem ser priorizadas na composição da população recombinante para o terceiro ciclo de seleção recorrente, pois além de variação genética, também apresentam características de interesse ao programa de melhoramento genético da couve. ABSTRACT Kale is one of the most widely cultivated leafy vegetables in Brazil, but its breeding genetic is still limited. Therefore, it is crucial to develop research that explores the genetic diversity of the available germplasms, aiming to establish promising crosses in the studied populations. The present study aimed to evaluate the genetic divergence between half-sibling progenies of kale, obtained through recurrent selection, using multivariate methods to select the most promising progenies for forming a recombinant population. The plants obtained from the seeds of 25 pre-selected half-sibling progenies and three commercial cultivars were evaluated as treatment groups. These seeds were produced in 2018 by subjecting the clones of the progenies to recombination, followed by the selection of appropriate seeds from plants with superior agronomic performance. In the present study, plants in each plot were evaluated for twelve quantitative and fifteen qualitative traits. Genetic divergence was studied based on canonical variables to obtain quantitative data. The UPGMA method was applied to the quantitative, qualitative, and combined data, and Mahalanobis genetic distance was adopted. The first three canonical variables explained 73.75% of the total cumulative variation compared to the commercial cultivars and 55.29% when considering the half-sibling progenies exclusively. The half-sibling progenies P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P9, P11, P15, P16, P18, P20, P22, P23, P24, and P25 were the most divergent and should, therefore, be prioritized when composing the recombinant population for the third cycle of recurrent selection because, in addition to genetic variation, these progenies also present characteristics of interest to the kale genetic breeding program. The commercial cultivars exhibited the most divergent genotypes and should, therefore, be included in the next recombination cycle.
