ABSTRACT: The tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) plays a vital role in global agriculture and is a model organism in genetic studies. Visual classification of tomatoes for genetic improvement programs faces challenges due to variety diversity, uneven ripening, external damages, and evaluator subjectivity. Recent advances in the field of computational resources, such as image phenotyping have enabled pre- and post-harvest assessments that are both fast and precise. This study aimed to classify tomato fruits based on shape, group, color, and defects using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The performance of five architectures - VGG16, InceptionV3, ResNet50, EfficientNetB3, and InceptionResNetV2 was evaluated to identify and determine the most efficient one for this classification. The research considered ten hybrids and their five parental lines. The experiment was conducted in the field, and images of ripe fruits were acquired using a portable mini studio. The ExpImage package in R software was used for fruit individualization by image and to aid in creating a synthetic database for network training. Images were grouped according to their classifications in terms of shape, color, groups, and defects. The InceptionResNetV2 architecture was the most efficient, achieving metrics such as precision and recall exceeding 93 % for most analyzed variables, and shorter classification times. Abstract Purpose This study examines the influence of cultural controls on affective commitment in a family firm, mediated by feedback/feedforward, work pressure, and counterproductive behaviors. Theoretical framework Under the lens of social exchange theory, it is postulated that cultural controls have a direct effect on affective and indirect commitment through feedback/feedforward, work pressure and counterproductive behaviors. Design/methodology/approach The hypotheses were tested with data from a survey carried out with employees of a family firm, using structural equation modeling. Findings The research results show that there is a direct positive relationship between cultural controls and affective commitment. Cultural controls positively influence feedback/feedforward and work pressure, but no negative influence on counterproductive behaviors was observed. Also, positive influence of feedback/feedforward on affective commitment was found, but not work pressure, and not even negative influence of counterproductive behaviors. Practical & social implications of research The research findings contribute to the literature and managerial practice by revealing that cultural controls directly impact the affective commitment of employees and indirectly through the mediating effect of feedback/feedforward, work pressure, and counterproductive behaviors. This indicates that even after the IPO, cultural aspects continue to influence the behavior of the employees of the researched family firm. ABSTRACT Objectives: To assess the molecular profile of follicular cell-derived thyroid carcinomas (FCDTCs) and correlate the identified mutations with the clinical and pathological features of the affected patients. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional study of tumor samples from 100 adult patients diagnosed with FCDTC between 2010 and 2019. The patients’ clinical and pathological data were collected. Genomic DNA was extracted from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumors using the ReliaPrep FFPE gDNA Miniprep System. Genotyping of target genomic regions (KRAS, NRAS, BRAF, EGFR, and PIK3CA) was performed using the AmpliSeq panel, while sequencing was performed on the iSeq 100 platform. Results: The patients’ mean age was 39 years. In all, 82% of the tumors were classic papillary thyroid carcinomas. Overall, 54 (54%) tumor samples yielded satisfactory results on next-generation sequencing (NGS), of which 31 harbored mutations. BRAF gene mutations were the most frequent, with the BRAFV600E mutation present in 10 tumors. Seven tumors had BRAFNON-V600E mutations not previously described in FCDTCs (G464E, G464R, G466E, S467L, G469E, G596D, and the T599Ifs*10 deletion) but described in other types of cancer (i.e., skin/melanoma, lung, colorectal, and others). One tumor had a previously reported BRAFA598V mutation. EGFR gene mutations were found in 16 (29%) and KRAS or NRAS alterations in 8 (14%) of the 54 tumors analyzed. Resumo Objetivo Avaliar o impacto da raça (negra versus não negra) nos desfechos maternos e perinatais de gestantes com COVID-19 no Brasil. Métodos Esta é uma subanálise da REBRACO, um estudo de coorte multicêntrico brasileiro desenhado para avaliar o impacto da COVID-19 em mulheres grávidas. De fevereiro de 2020 a fevereiro de 2021, 15 maternidades do Brasil coletaram dados de mulheres com sintomas respiratórios. Selecionamos todas as mulheres com teste positivo para COVID-19; em seguida, as dividimos em dois grupos: mulheres negras e não negras. Finalmente, comparamos, entre os grupos, os resultados sociodemográficos, maternos e perinatais. Obtivemos a frequência dos eventos em cada grupo e comparamos usando o teste X2; Valores de p <0,05 foram considerados significativos. Também estimamos o odds ratio (OR) e os intervalos de confiança (IC). Resultados 729 mulheres sintomáticas foram incluídas no estudo; desses, 285 foram positivos para COVID-19, 120 (42,1%) eram negros e 165 (57,9%) não eram negros. As mulheres negras apresentaram pior escolaridade (p = 0,037). O tempo de acesso ao sistema de saúde foi semelhante entre os dois grupos, com 26,3% incluídos com sete ou mais dias de sintomas. Abstract Objective To evaluate the impact of the race (Black versus non-Black) on maternal and perinatal outcomes of pregnant women with COVID-19 in Brazil. Methods This is a subanalysis of REBRACO, a Brazilian multicenter cohort study designed to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on pregnant women. From February2020 until February 2021, 15 maternity hospitals in Brazil collected data on women with respiratory symptoms. We selected all women with a positive test for COVID-19; then, we divided them into two groups: Black and non-Black women. Finally, we compared, between groups, sociodemographic, maternal, and perinatal outcomes. We obtained the frequency of events in each group and compared them using X2 test; p-values < 0.05 were considered significant. We also estimated the odds ratio (OR) and confidence intervals (CI). Results 729 symptomatic women were included in the study; of those, 285 were positive for COVID-19, 120 (42.1%) were Black, and 165 (57.9%) were non-Black. Black women had worse education (p = 0.037). The timing of access to the health system was similar between both groups, with 26.3% being included with seven or more days of symptoms. Severe acute respiratory syndrome (OR 2.22 CI 1.17–4.21), intensive care unit admission (OR 2.00 CI 1.07–3.74), and desaturation at admission (OR 3.72 CI 1.41–9.84) were more likely to occur among Black women. Maternal death was higher among Black women (7.8% vs. 2.6%, p = 0.048). Perinatal outcomes were similar between both groups. Abstract The aim of this review was to evaluate the prevalence of dental caries, periodontal disease, malocclusion, and tooth wear in indigenous in Brazil. A systematic review of observational studies was performed according to the PRISMA guidelines (CRD42020218704). The search strategy involved the electronic databases of Embase, LILACS, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and the CAPES Theses and Dissertations for gray literature. The eligibility criteria consisted of publications that assessed the prevalence of oral conditions in indigenous populations in Brazil. Studies with indigenous people living in urban area were excluded. The risk of bias was evaluated by using JBI Critical Appraisal for prevalence studies. Thirty studies were included in the review, and the majority showed a low risk of bias. A meta-analysis of 20 studies was conducted using the random-effects model and a 95% confidence interval. Several ethnicities were studied in isolation or in groups (n = 7,627 for dental caries; n = 2,774 for periodontal disease; n = 1,067 for malocclusion; n = 150 for tooth wear). The prevalence of caries ranged from 50% among indigenous people aged 18-36 months to 100% among those aged 65–74 years. The prevalence of periodontal disease ranged from 58% to 83%. The prevalence of malocclusion was 43%. Tooth wear was assessed in only one ethnic group and showed a prevalence of 100% in indigenous people aged >18 years. The certainty of evidence assessed by the GRADE system ranged from very low to moderate. This systematic review showed significant differences in the prevalence of dental caries, periodontal disease and malocclusion between indigenous population groups and territories in which indigenous people live. Métodos Se trata de un estudio caso-control retrospectivo de pacientes adultos y adultos mayores de un hospital terciario de Porto Alegre, estado de Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Se investigaron los medicamentos prescriptos y las clases de medicamentos. Los datos fueron exportados al software RStudio para el análisis estadístico. Las variables se analizaron a través de los algoritmos de regresión logística Naive Bayes, Random Forest y Gradient Boosting. Abstract Objective To compare the performance of machine-learning models with the Medication Fall Risk Score (MFRS) in predicting fall risk related to prescription medications. Methods This is a retrospective case-control study of adult and older adult patients in a tertiary hospital in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. Prescription drugs and drug classes were investigated. Data were exported to the RStudio software for statistical analysis. The variables were analyzed using Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting algorithms. Algorithm validation was performed using 10-fold cross validation. The Youden index was the metric selected to evaluate the models. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Results The machine-learning model showing the best performance was the one developed by the Naive Bayes algorithm. The model built from a data set of a specific hospital showed better results for the studied population than did MFRS, a generalizable tool. Conclusion Risk-prediction tools that depend on proper application and registration by professionals require time and attention that could be allocated to patient care. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar a presença de microfilárias de Dirofilaria immitis causando dermatite nodular piogranulomatosa em cão no estado do Rio Grande do Norte, região Nordeste do Brasil. Um cão de 4 anos, da raça Dachshund, foi atendido com lesões nas regiões das narinas e dorsolateral esquerda. Foram realizados exames de citologia cutânea, teste de Knott, gota espessa e histopatologia das lesões, sendo observada a presença de um processo piogranulomatoso difuso e microfilárias de Dirofilaria spp. Na reação em cadeia da polimerase convencional constatou-se a espécie D. immitis nas amostras de tecido das lesões. Foi efetuado um tratamento à base de Ivermectina (3mg) 0,6 mg/kg – 1 aplicação, via oral. Nos sete primeiros dias, houve regressão das lesões, porém, depois de 30 dias, houve recidiva. Foi efetuado um novo tratamento com imidacloprida 10% + moxidectina 2,5% (4-10 mg/kg), 1 aplicação por mês durante 6 meses, e Doxiciclina (100 mg), 10 mg/kg, 1 comprimido, duas vezes ao dia, por 30 dias. Abstract The aim of this study was to report on the presence of microfilariae of Dirofilaria immitis causing nodular pyogranulomatous dermatitis in a dog in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, northeastern Brazil. A 4-year-old male dachshund dog with lesions in the nostrils and left dorsolateral regions was treated. Tests were requested to aid in making the diagnosis, such as skin cytology, Knott's test, thick smear and histopathology of the lesions. From these, presence of a diffuse pyogranulomatous process was observed and, amidst the cellular material, microfilariae of Dirofilaria spp. A conventional polymerase chain reaction test on tissue samples from the lesions revealed the presence of the species D. immitis. Treatment based on ivermectin (3mg) was administered at a single oral dose of 0.6 mg/kg. In the first seven days there was regression of the lesions, but after 30 days there was recurrence. A new treatment was administered, consisting of 10% imidacloprid + 2.5% moxidectin (4-10 mg/kg), with one application per month for 6 months, and doxycycline (100 mg), 10 mg/kg, 1 tablet, 2 times a day, for 30 days. RESUMO OBJETIVO Identificar as normas jurídicas publicadas nos anos de 2020 e 2021 para regular direta ou indiretamente o teletrabalho em saúde no Brasil, analisando-as sob o enfoque dos seguintes temas, no contexto do teletrabalho: tempo da jornada de trabalho; ergonomia; ambiente laboral; segurança e saúde do trabalhador. MÉTODOS Pesquisa legislativa e documental, com abordagem qualitativa descritiva. Foram coletadas e selecionadas todas as normas jurídicas que tratam direta ou indiretamente da regulação do teletrabalho em saúde no Brasil, publicadas nas bases da Imprensa Nacional e dos Conselhos Profissionais da área da saúde até junho de 2021. RESULTADOS Destacam-se os seguintes: até junho de 2021 havia 113 normas jurídicas vigentes sobre a regulação do teletrabalho em saúde, sendo mais da metade (64) publicadas no ano de 2020. Dentre os achados, identificou-se um baixo número de normas voltadas a regular ou orientar aspectos relacionados ao tempo da jornada de trabalho; à ergonomia; ao ambiente laboral; à segurança e à saúde do trabalhador. ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To identify the legal norms published in 2020 and 2021 aimed at directly or indirectly regulating telework in health in Brazil, focusing on these contexts: workday length; ergonomics; work environment; worker safety and health. METHODS Legislative and documentary research, with a descriptive qualitative approach. We collected and selected all legal norms dealing directly or indirectly with the regulation of telework in health in Brazil, published in the bases of the National Press and Health Professional Councils until June 2021. RESULTS Until June 2021, there were 113 valid legal norms on the regulation of telework in health, and more than half of them (64) were published in 2020. We identified only a few norms aimed at regulating or guiding aspects related to workday length; ergonomics; work environment; and worker safety and health. From the 113 norms, only one deals with workday length and just 13 pointed out the importance of working environments for offering a good service. RESUMO Uma dificuldade para a condução de programas de melhoramento na cultura da batata-doce é a baixa floração e produção de sementes, o que dificulta a recombinação genética. Assim, objetivou-se selecionar clones superiores para o florescimento, produção e qualidade de sementes, e verificar qual melhor época para cruzamentos e colheita das sementes. A qualidade fisiológica das sementes foi avaliada em delineamento inteiramente casualizado com 11 clones. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância e teste de Scott-Knott (p≤0.05). ABSTRACT One difficulty in conducting breeding programs in the sweet potato is the low rate of flowering and seed production, which makes genetic recombination difficult. The aim of the present study was to select clones with superior flowering, production, and seed quality, and to verify the best time for crosses and seed harvesting. The study was carried out in the district of Montes Claros in the north of the state of Minas Gerais. Characteristics associated with flowering and seed production were evaluated in a randomized block design of 28 clones. The physiological quality of the seeds was evaluated in a completely randomized design using 11 clones. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and the Scott-Knott test (p≤0.05). RESUMEN: El artículo argumenta cómo los currículos que utilizan los signos sensibles del arte pueden permitir un movimiento de pensamiento en torno de una educación contracultural que afirma la vida como contrapunto de los procesos de sujeción capitalista. Dialoga, con intercesores teóricos postfundamentalistas, los conceptos de culturas, currículos, enseñanzas, imágenes de signos artísticos en su relación con la formación de un pueblo por venir. ABSTRACT: The article discuss how curricula that use art with its sensitive signs can enable a movement of thought around a countercultural education that affirms life in counterpoint to capitalist processes. It dialogues, with post-fundamentalist theoretical intercessors, the concepts of cultures, curricula, teachings, and images of artistic signs when forming people to come. Methodologically it is a training research carried out with teachers of a municipal school network, virtually via Google Meet, in the year 2021. Therefore, it aims to think about the strength of artistic signs in cultural and curricular inventions and compositions. Aim The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between the sense of coherence (SOC) of parents/guardians and the use of dental services by children who are 12 years old. Methods This is a cross-sectional study conducted in the eastern zone of the city of Manaus, with 358 children enrolled in the 7th grade in the municipal public school system. Data collection was performed through self-administered questionnaires sent to parents/guardians, which contained questions about socioeconomic conditions, use of dental services by children and Antonovsky’s SOC-13 scale. Data were examined by descriptive and bivariate analysis, using the Chi-square test, with a 5% significance level. Results Of the 358 children, 58.4% were female; in addition, 75.4% of the parents/guardians self-reported to be brown and 39.9% of them had a family income of ½ to 1 minimum wage. SOC was categorized as strong SOC and weak SOC by the median. The association between strong or weak SOC and the use of dental services in terms of frequency (p= 0.839) and reason for last visit (p= 0.384), was not significant. Conclusion It was concluded that SOC of parents/guardians and utilization of dental services by children were not associated. Abstract This article explores how the release of the then-former president Lula in 2019 constitutes a discursive event. So, we anchor ourselves in the theoretical-methodological contribution of French Discourse Analysis with a Pecheuxtian orientation, mobilizing some of the devices that make up this perspective: conditions of production, discursive memory, discursive formation, ideological formation, and subject position. RESUMEN Objetivo describir el perfil sociodemográfico de los casos notificados de violencia sexual (VS) y la distribución de los servicios para esta condición. Métodos estudio observacional descriptivo basado en datos del Sistema de Información de Enfermedades de Declaración Obligatoria y servicios registrados en el Registro Nacional de Estabelecimientos de Salud, en Minas Gerais, Brasil, en 2019. Resultados se identificaron 4.418 notificaciones de SV que representan más de 12 notificaciones por día; los registros se centraron en el sexo femenino (87,0%), niños y adolescentes (72,0%); la distribución de los servicios mostró brechas de atención en cuatro macrorregiones entre las 14 existentes; la distancia máxima recorrida para asistencia en un servicio de referencia osciló entre 93 y 327 km. ABSTRACT Objective to describe the sociodemographic profile of reported cases of sexual violence (SV) and the distribution of care services for this health condition in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, 2019. Methods this was a descriptive study of the cases of sexual violence reported on the Notifiable Health Conditions Information System and care services registered in the National Health Establishment Registry. RESUMO Objetivo descrever o perfil sociodemográfico dos casos notificados de violência sexual (VS) e a distribuição dos serviços de atendimento ao agravo em Minas Gerais, Brasil, 2019. Métodos estudo descritivo dos casos notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação e dos serviços registrados no Cadastro Nacional dos Estabelecimentos de Saúde. Resultados foram identificadas 4.418 notificações de VS no período, correspondendo a mais de 12 notificações/dia; houve maior frequência de notificações no sexo feminino (87,0%) e entre crianças e adolescentes (72,0%); a distribuição dos serviços mostrou vazios assistenciais em quatro das 14 macrorregiões de saúde do estado; as distâncias máximas percorridas para atendimento em serviços de referência variaram de 93 a 327 km. RESUMO OBJETIVO Identificar as normas jurídicas publicadas nos anos de 2020 e 2021 para regular direta ou indiretamente o teletrabalho em saúde no Brasil, analisando-as sob o enfoque dos seguintes temas, no contexto do teletrabalho: tempo da jornada de trabalho; ergonomia; ambiente laboral; segurança e saúde do trabalhador. MÉTODOS Pesquisa legislativa e documental, com abordagem qualitativa descritiva. Foram coletadas e selecionadas todas as normas jurídicas que tratam direta ou indiretamente da regulação do teletrabalho em saúde no Brasil, publicadas nas bases da Imprensa Nacional e dos Conselhos Profissionais da área da saúde até junho de 2021. RESULTADOS Destacam-se os seguintes: até junho de 2021 havia 113 normas jurídicas vigentes sobre a regulação do teletrabalho em saúde, sendo mais da metade (64) publicadas no ano de 2020. Dentre os achados, identificou-se um baixo número de normas voltadas a regular ou orientar aspectos relacionados ao tempo da jornada de trabalho; à ergonomia; ao ambiente laboral; à segurança e à saúde do trabalhador. Do total das 113 normas, apenas uma trata da jornada de trabalho e somente 13 destacaram a importância de que os ambientes de trabalho tenham condições para o oferecimento de um bom serviço. DISCUSSÃO Identificamos ausências, nas normas jurídicas selecionadas, de dispositivos que regulam o teletrabalho em saúde, a fim de prover a defesa dos direitos do trabalhador e dos pacientes, ou ainda para garantir condições favoráveis à realização do teletrabalho, seja realizado nos domicílios, seja em outro espaço.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To identify the legal norms published in 2020 and 2021 aimed at directly or indirectly regulating telework in health in Brazil, focusing on these contexts: workday length; ergonomics; work environment; worker safety and health. METHODS Legislative and documentary research, with a descriptive qualitative approach. We collected and selected all legal norms dealing directly or indirectly with the regulation of telework in health in Brazil, published in the bases of the National Press and Health Professional Councils until June 2021. RESULTS Until June 2021, there were 113 valid legal norms on the regulation of telework in health, and more than half of them (64) were published in 2020. We identified only a few norms aimed at regulating or guiding aspects related to workday length; ergonomics; work environment; and worker safety and health. From the 113 norms, only one deals with workday length and just 13 pointed out the importance of working environments for offering a good service. DISCUSSION We identified that the selected legal norms lack of devices which regulate telework in health, failing to defend workers’ and patients’ rights, or to guarantee favorable remote work conditions, whether at home or somewhere else.
