Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi quantificar a produção de frutos de pessegueiros (Prunus persica) sob os sistemas de manejo Y e vaso aberto, sujeitos a três métodos de poda de verão. O experimento foi instalado em arranjo fatorial 2×3, com dois sistemas de manejo e três métodos de poda de verão (sem poda de verão, poda de verão e dobramento de galhos). As plantas foram dispostas em dois espaçamentos: 1,5×5,0 m para o sistema Y, com 1.334 plantas por hectare; e 4,0×5,0 m para o sistema vaso aberto, com 500 plantas por hectare. No início do verão de 2019, foram realizadas as podas de verão, que foram repetidas nos três anos consecutivos. Abstract The objective of this work was to quantify peach (Prunus persica) tree production in the Y-training and open-vase management systems, subjected to three summer pruning methods. The experiment was set up in a 2x3 factorial arrangement, with two management systems and three summer pruning methods (no summer pruning, summer pruning, and branch bending). The plants were arranged in two spacings: 1.5×5.0 m for the Y-training system, with 1,334 plants per hectare; and 4.0×5.0 m for open-vase system, with 500 plants per hectare. In the early summer of 2019, summer pruning was performed, being repeated in the three following years. In the branch bending treatment, new branches were twisted manually until reaching an angle of 110°. In the treatment without summer pruning, the branches were not removed. Resumo O roncador, Conodon nobilis (Linnaeus, 1758) é um dos peixes marinho-estuarinos mais importantes do litoral do Brasil. O presente estudo avaliou a fauna parasitária desse peixe, na costa sul do Atlântico. Entre setembro de 2010 a julho de 2011, um total de 100 espécimes de C. nobilis, da costa de Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (23°01′21ʺS, 44°19′13ʺO), foram examinados. Noventa e sete indivíduos estavam parasitados por pelo menos uma espécie de metazoário, com média de 4,50 ± 3,54 parasitos por peixe. Dezoito espécies de parasitos foram coletadas: oito copépodes, quatro digenéticos, dois cestóides, um acantocéfalo, um aspidogastrídeo, um isópode e um monogenético. O copépode L. rathbuni foi a espécie mais abundante e dominante, representando 17,77% do total de parasitos coletados. Caligus haemulonis foi a espécie mais prevalente. A prevalência e abundância de A. lamellatus, L. rathbuni tenderam a ser maiores nos peixes menores, enquanto os valores de Torticaecum sp. maiores em peixes maiores. A abundância média de C. haemulonis foi significativamente maior em hospedeiros do sexo masculino. Associação negativa foi observada entre duas espécies de ectoparasitos. Abstract The barred grunt, Conodon nobilis (Linnaeus, 1758), is one of the most important marine-estuarine fish along the Brazilian coast. The present study evaluated the parasite fauna of this haemulid fish along the Southern Atlantic coast. From September 2010 to July 2011, a total of 100 specimens of C. nobilis from Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil (23°01′21ʺS, 44°19′13ʺW), were examined. Ninety-seven individuals were parasitized by at least one species of metazoan, with a mean of 4.50 ± 3.54 parasites per fish. Eighteen species of parasites were collected: eight copepods, four digeneans, two cestodes, one acanthocephalan, one aspidogastrean, one isopod and one monogenean. The copepod Lernanthropus rathbuni was the most abundant and dominant species, accounting for 17.77% of all parasite specimens collected. Caligus haemulonis was the most prevalent. Prevalence and abundance of Acantholochus lamellatus and L. rathbuni tended to be higher in smaller fish, whereas those of Torticaecum sp. were higher in larger fish. The mean abundance of C. haemulonis was significantly higher in male hosts. A negative association was observed between two species of ectoparasites. Resumo O objetivo foi buscar sistematicamente e sintetizar as evidências disponíveis na literatura acerca do efeito de intervenções com exercício físico na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS), realizadas no Brasil, sobre os fatores de risco cardiometabólicos. A busca sistemática foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Web of Science. Foram incluídos estudos com intervenção de AF ou exercício na APS; realizadas no Brasil; com população >18 anos de idade; pelo menos um fator de risco cardiometabólico avaliado pré e pós intervenção. Utilizou-se o Descritores em Ciências da Saúde para definir os descritores de busca: “physical activity” OR “exercise” OR “motor activity” AND “primary health care” OR “health centers” OR “primary care” AND “Brazil”. As fases de seleção foram realizadas por pares e com cegamento e os conflitos decididos por um terceiro avaliador. Utilizou-se a escala de Jadad para avaliar a qualidade metodológica dos artigos incluídos. Foram encontrados 1.817 artigos e excluídas 26 duplicatas, restando 1.791 para leitura dos títulos. Foram lidos 105 resumos e 53 artigos na íntegra. Por fim, 06 artigos foram considerados elegíveis e incluídos na revisão. Abstract The objective was to systematically search and synthesize the evidence available in the literature about the effect of physical exercise interventions Primary Health Care (PHC), carried out in Brazil, on cardiometabolic risk factors. The search was performed in the PubMed, Virtual Health Library and Web of Science databases. The inclusion criteria were: studies with physical activity (PA) interventions or exercise in PHC; carried out in Brazil; population aged >18 years; at least one cardiometabolic risk factor assessed pre and post-intervention. The “Health Sciences Descriptors” were used to define the search descriptors: “physical activity” OR “exercise” OR “motor activity” AND “primary health care” OR “health centers” OR “primary care” AND “Brazil”. The selection phases were performed by pairs of blinded researchers and the conflicts were decided by a third evaluator. Jadad scale was used to assess the methodological quality of the articles included. In total, 1,817 articles were found and 26 duplicates excluded, leaving 1,791 for reading of titles. The abstracts of 105 articles were read, and 53 articles were read in full. Finally, 06 articles were considered eligible and included in the review. The cardiometabolic risk factors evaluated in the included studies were body mass index (4 studies), waist-hip ratio (1 study), fat percentage (1 study), blood pressure (2 studies), lipid profile (1 study), inflammatory profile (1 study), and aerobic capacity (3 studies). RESUMO A regeneração óssea guiada visa o ganho de volume ósseo vertical e horizontal em rebordos atróficos, sendo utilizadas diferentes técnicas regenerativas associadas a biomateriais, podendo apresentar ocasionais complicações pós-cirúrgicas. O objetivo do relato de caso foi descrever as sucessivas abordagens para minimizar e eliminar as complicações apresentadas no pós-operatório de paciente submetida à técnica de regeneração óssea guiada. Na primeira cirurgia foi utilizada a membrana de politetrafluoretileno expandido denso (PTFE-d), suportada pela técnica da tenda e enxerto plaquetário autógeno, para realizar a técnica de regeneração óssea guiada. Após três meses, constatou-se a exposição da membrana, sendo removida a membrana e os parafusos de contenção no sétimo mês, com instalação de três implantes Hexágono Interno nas áreas dos dentes 13, 14 e 15. As roscas expostas foram recobertas com as hidroxiapatitas reabsorvíeis e recobertas com membrana PTFE-d. A radiografia panorâmica pós-operatória de quatro meses sugeriu osseointegração dos implantes. A técnica de regeneração óssea guiada associada à membrana de PTFE-d possibilitou a neoformação óssea propiciando a instalação de implantes osseointegrados em posição estética e funcional. A exposição das bordas da membrana permitiu a penetração de fluídos e contaminação, sugerindo o agravamento dos sinais de infecção e secreção purulenta. Ao contrário, a exposição de áreas centrais, não acarretou sinais inflamatórios e infecciosos.

ABSTRACT Guided bone regeneration aims to gain vertical and horizontal bone volume in atrophic ridges, using different regenerative techniques associated with biomaterials, with occasional post-surgical complications. The objective of the case report was to describe the successive approaches to minimize and eliminate the complications presented in the postoperative period of a patient submitted to the guided bone regeneration technique. In the first surgery, the dense expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (d-PTFE), supported by the tent technique and autogenous platelet graft, was used to perform the guided bone regeneration technique. After three months, the membrane was exposed, with the membrane and the retaining screws removed in the seventh month, with the installation of three Internal Hexagon implants in the areas of teeth 13, 14 and 15. The exposed threads were covered with hydroxyapatites resorbable and covered with d-PTFE membrane. A four-month postoperative panoramic radiograph suggested implant osseointegration. The guided bone regeneration technique associated with the d-PTFE membrane enabled bone neoformation, enabling the installation of osseointegrated implants in an aesthetic and functional position. The exposure of the edges of the membrane allowed the penetration of fluids and contamination, suggesting the worsening of the signs of infection and purulent secretion. On the contrary, the exposure of central areas did not cause inflammatory and infectious signs.

Abstract Background: The VI Brazilian Consensus on Autoantibodies against HEp-2 cells for determination of autoantibodies against cellular constituents on HEp-2 cells was held on September, 2019, in Fortaleza (CE, Brazil). The guidelines in this edition were formulated by the group of Brazilian experts discussing the classification of complex patterns, the classification of the nuclear discrete dots (few and multiple), the identification of the discrete fine speckled pattern (AC-4a) and improvements on the ANA report. Mainbody: Sixteen Brazilian researchers and experts from universities and clinical laboratories representing the various geographical regions of Brazil participated in the meeting. Four main topics were discussed: (1) How to classify patterns with fluorescence in more than one cell compartment considering three relevant categoris: composite patterns, mixed patterns and multiple patterns; (2) The splitting of the discrete nuclear dots pattern into the multiple discrete nuclear dots (AC-6) and few discrete nuclear dots (AC-7) patterns, respectively; (3) Inclusion of a novel nuclear pattern characterized by discrete fine speckled pattern highly associated with antibodies to SS-A/Ro60, classified as AC-4a. In addition, adjustments on the Brazilian Consensus nomenclature were implemented aiming to harmonize the designation of some patterns with the International Consensus on ANA Patterns (ICAP). Furthermore, the designations of the PCNA-like pattern (AC-13), CENP-F-like pattern (AC-14) and Topo I-like pattern (AC-29) were adjusted in accordance to ICAP. Finally, there was a recommendation for adjustment in the test report in order to address the status of nuclear envelope staining. For all topics, the aim was to establish specific guidelines for laboratories and clinicians. All recommendations were based on consensus among participants. All recommendations from the V Consensus were maintained and there was relevant progress in the BCA/HEp-2 guidelines and further harmonization with ICAP. Conclusion: The VI BCA/HEp-2 edition was successful in establishing important recommendations regarding the classification of complex patterns, in supporting the identification of a novel pattern within the AC-4 group and in the harmonization process with the ICAP terminology.

Abstract BRS 372 and BRS 416 are cotton cultivars with high lint yield and genetic resistance to the main cotton diseases in Brazil, particularly to Ramularia Leaf Spot. They have stable yields, good fiber quality and can contribute to a sustainable cotton disease management in tropical environments.

RESUMO: Hyptis marrubioides (Lamiaceae) é uma planta medicinal nativa do Cerrado brasileiro. Técnicas de propagação in vitro fazem uso de elicitores para alterar as vias metabólicas, afetando a produção de moléculas qualitativa e quantitativamente. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar como os elicitores abióticos ácido salicílico (SA) e nitrato de prata (SN) nas concentrações de 30µM ou 60µM influenciam no crescimento de plântulas de Hyptis marrubioides por dois diferentes métodos de cultivo in vitro. O teor de rutina foi quantificado por CLAE-DAD. Em comparação com uma cultura não tratada, os extratos metanólicos de H. marrubioides cultivados em meio MS por 10 dias, seguidos de cultura em meio MS contendo SN (30µM) por 20 dias, apresentaram 1,28 vezes maior teor de rutina. Em um segundo experimento, as plântulas foram cultivadas em meio MS por 20 dias, e então o elicitor desejado foi adicionado à cultura e deixado em contato com o meio por três e seis dias. SA (30µM) forneceu os melhores resultados na produção de rutina, sendo 16,56 vezes maior do que o controle após seis dias. SN (30µM) aumentou o teor de rutina em 1,17 vezes. Nas duas concentrações avaliadas durante os experimentos de elicitação, nem SA nem SN alteraram os parâmetros de crescimento, como comprimento da parte aérea, número de folhas ou peso fresco e seco das plântulas de H. marrubioides cultivadas in vitro em relação ao controle. Com base nestes resultados, os elicitores abióticos SA e SN forneceram com sucesso Hyptis marrubioides in vitro com maior conteúdo de rutina.

ABSTRACT: Hyptis marrubioides (Lamiaceae) is a medicinal plant that is native from Brazilian Cerrado. In vitro propagation techniques make use of elicitors to alter metabolic pathways, affecting how molecules are produced both qualitatively and quantitatively. This research aimed to evaluate how abiotic elicitors salicylic acid (SA) and silver nitrate (SN) at concentrations of 30µM or 60µM influence Hyptis marrubioides seedling growth by two different in vitro culture methods. The rutin content was quantified by HPLC-DAD. Compared to an untreated culture, the H. marrubioides methanolic extracts cultured in MS medium for 10 days followed by culture in MS medium containing SN (30µM) for 20 days had 1.28 times higher rutin content. In a second experiment, seedlings were cultured in MS medium for 20 days, and then the desired elicitor was added to the culture and allowed to remain in contact with the medium for three and six days. SA (30µM) gave the best results: rutin production was 16.56-foldhigher than the control after six days. SN (30µM) increased the rutin content by 1.17-fold. At the two concentrations evaluated during the elicitation experiments, neither SA nor SN altered the growth parameters shoot length, leaf number, and fresh and dry weight of H. marrubioides seedlings grown in vitro as compared to the control. Based on these results, the abiotic elicitors SA and SN successfully provide Hyptis marrubioides with increased rutin content in vitro.

ABSTRACT Optimization is now an established tool for obtaining better solutions in engineering design. Nevertheless, the multiplicity of possible applications and the continuing search for better computational performance has motivated researchers in continuing to propose new methods, as well as improvements on existing ones. Not only optimization has allowed a better exploration of the design space, it also can significantly reduce the time of the design process. In this paper the advantages of using a fully multiobjective and multicase approach for the design of space radiators is presented. The optimization of Amazonia-1 satellite batteries panel thermal design is investigated. Instead of conventional space radiators, in this work an innovative solution considering the fin as heat absorber is analyzed. The results have shown that there are several viable configurations regarding to fin coating material, heater power consumption and additional mass, and the choice of the appropriate radiator configuration shall be evaluated based on system impact. The possibility of testing automatically different coatings and sizes for the fin, allowed by the optimization approach, increased significantly the probability of finding viable solutions on the design space.

Abstract Background: The V Brazilian Consensus for determination of autoantibodies against cellular constituents on HEp-2 cells, held in Brasilia (DF, Brazil) on August 27, 2016, discussed the harmonization between the Brazilian Consensus on ANA (BCA) guidelines and the International Consensus on ANA Patterns (ICAP) recommendations (www.anapatterns.org). Initial guidelines were formulated by the group of Brazilian experts with the purpose of guiding and enabling Brazilian clinical laboratories to adopt recommendations and to provide a common standard for national and international consensuses. Mainbody: Twenty Brazilian researchers and experts from universities and clinical laboratories representing the various geographical regions of the country participated in the meeting. Three main topics were discussed, namely the harmonization between the BCA guidelines and latest recommendations of the ICAP initiative, the adjustment of the terminology and report on HEp-2 patterns, and a reassessment of quality assurance parameters. For the three topics, our aim was to establish specific guidelines. All recommendations were based on consensus among participants. There was concrete progress in the adjustment of the BCA guidelines to match the ICAP guidelines. To a certain extent, this derives from the fact that ICAP recommendations were largely based on the algorithm and recommendations of the IV Brazilian ANA Consensus, as consistently recognized in the ICAP publications and presentations. However, although there is great overlap between the two Consensuses, there are some point divergences. These specific items were individually and extensively discussed, and it was acknowledged that in several points ICAP improved recommendations previously issued by the Brazilian ANA Consensus and these changes were readily implemented. Regarding some specific topics, the BCA panel of experts felt that the previously issued recommendations remained relevant and possibly will require further discussion with ICAP. The term anti-cell antibodies was adopted as the recommended designation, recognizing that the assay addresses antibodies against antigens in the nucleus and in other cell compartments. However, the acronym ANA HEp-2 was maintained due to historical and regulatory reasons. It was also signalized that the latest trend in ICAP is to adopt the term Indirect Immunofluorescent Assay on HEp-2 cell substrate (HEp-2 IIFA). In addition, the quality assurance strategies previously presented were ratified and emphasized. Conclusion: The V BCA edition was successful in establishing an overall harmonization with the ICAP recommendations for interpretation of the HEp-2 IIFA test, pinpointing the perspectives in filling the remaining gaps between both initiatives.
