ABSTRACT During the harvesting of waste straw in the field, a self-propelled baler undergoes significant oscillations in the longitudinal direction around its centre of gravity, which greatly affect the stability of operation and the comfort of the driver. In order to analyse the vibration characteristics of the main frame under multi-source excitation, the complete frame is divided into a chassis frame and a baling frame. A nine-degree-of-freedom vibration system model of the whole machine is established based on the relationship between the internal motion devices, and simulations are carried out using MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, a multi-body dynamics simulation of the compression device is carried out, and the law governing the variation in force at different unit points of the mechanism is analysed. Finally, the vibration response of the main frame under different working conditions is explored. The results show that the main frequency component of the frame in the no-load state is 80 Hz, and the main response frequency of the frame is about 1.6 Hz, a finding that is consistent with the operating frequency of the compression mechanism. In particular, the displacement amplitude of the simulated signal at the centroid position is consistent with that measured in experiments, which verifies the validity of the dynamic model. Abstract Background: Lower limb coronal alignment was thought to be a predictive factor for Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) result. The tibial bony resection and implant position lead to joint line change postoperatively. Analysis was done to find out the correlation between these factors. Methods: From 2019 to 2021, 90 medial Oxford UKA were implanted by a single surgeon. Hip Knee Ankle Angle (HKAA), Lateral Distal Femoral Angle (LDFA), Medial Proximal Tibial Angle (MPTA), and intraoperative bony resection thickness were measured. The medial joint line change was calculated. The correlation between joint line change and alignment change was evaluated. Results: The mean tibial resection thickness was 4.3 mm. The mean tibial joint line was elevated by 2.3 mm, while the mean femoral joint line proximalized by 0.8 mm. HKAA changed from 8.4° varus preoperatively to 3.6° varus postoperatively. LDFA changed from 89.0° to 86.7°. MPTA changed from 85.6° to 86.6°. Preoperative HKAA showed a strong correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001), and preoperative MPTA showed a positive correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001). While preoperative LDFA had a negative correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001). The femoral joint line change and LDFA change had a significant correlation with HKAA change (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The change of joint line had no correlation with postoperative HKAA in Oxford UKA. ABSTRACT In the process of rice harvesting, the passability of the track combine harvester is often limited by the state of the soil. Meanwhile, wet and soft paddy soil is compacted under the rolling of harvesting machinery, which also affects the soil function and the ecological environment. Therefore, the relationship between the physical and mechanical properties of wet and soft paddy soil was studied in this paper. In addition, compaction from a track combine harvester on field soil with and without rice stubble was studied. The density and gradation of wet and soft paddy soil were positively correlated with cohesion and negatively correlated with the internal friction angle. In paddy soil with a moisture content of 16–36%, the soil moisture content was negatively correlated with cohesion and internal friction angle. Additionally, the plastic deformation of soil with rice stubble under compaction was greater than that without rice stubble, and the plastic deformation of the field with rice stubble mainly occurred in the second rolling stage. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to prospectively observe the changes in the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) before and after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and their impact on the prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). METHODS: Blood samples from 205 patients with ACS were collected at admission and at 24h and 30 days post-PCI to observe changes in the complete blood count. The Cox multivariate regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing major adverse cardiac events (MACE) after PCI in patients with ACS. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of inflammation indicators for MACE after PCI. RESULTS: Following PCI, NLR and PLR first increased postoperatively and then decreased within 30 days after PCI. Cox multivariate regression analysis showed that NLR and PLR at 24h post-PCI and acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction were independent influencing factors for the incidence of MACE after PCI. The ROC curve analysis showed that the NLR at 24h post-PCI was a better predictor of the incidence of MACE. The NLR at 24h post-PCI was significantly correlated with the number and length of implanted stents and operation duration. CONCLUSIONS: After PCI, patients with ACS had an increased neutrophil proportion and NLR. The NLR at 24h post-PCI was a better predictor of the incidence of postoperative MACE.

Abstract Papaver setigerum is an annual herb that is closely related to the opium poppy, P. somniferum. Genetic resources for P. setigerum are scarce. In the present study, we assembled the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of P. setigerum based on genome skimming data, and we conducted comparative cp genome analyses to study the evolutionary pattern in Papaveraceae. The cp genome of P. setigerum is 152,862 bp in length with a typical quadripartite structure. Comparative analyses revealed no gene rearrangement in the Papaveraceae family, although differences were evident in genome size, gene losses, as well as inverted repeats (IR) region expansion and contraction. The rps15 gene has been lost from the genomes of Meconopsis racemosa, Coreanomecon hylomeconoides, P. orientale, P. somniferum, and P. setigerum, and the ycf15 gene is found only in C. hylomeconoides. Moreover, 13 cpDNA markers, including psbA-trnH, rps16-trnQ, trnS-trnG, trnC-petN, trnE-trnT, trnL-trnF, trnF-ndhJ, petA-psbJ, ndhF-rpl32, rpl32-trnL, ccsA-ndhD, ndhE-ndhG, and rps15-ycf1, were identified with relatively high levels of variation within Papaver, which will be useful for species identification in this genus. Among those markers, psbA-trnH is the best one to distinguish P. somniferum and P. setigerum.

RESUMO OBJETIVO O diabetes é um fator de risco para a lesão renal aguda (LRA). No entanto, seu mecanismo de patogênese não foi elucidado. O objetivo do estudo foi investigar o papel da inflamação e do receptor Toll-like 7 (TLR7) na LRA isquêmica no diabetes. MÉTODOS Um modelo de hipóxia-reoxigenação de células epiteliais tubulares renais humanas (HK-2) na presença de concentrações altas de glicose foi utilizado para gerar LRA induzida por isquemia-reperfusão em diabetes. A atividade das células foi medida pelo ensaio Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) e pela atividade da lactato desidrogenase (LDH). As citocinas inflamatórias foram avaliadas por ensaio imunoenzimático (Elisa). A expressão de TLR7, do fator de diferenciação mieloide 88 (MyD88) e do fator de transcrição nuclear-κB (NF-κB) foi examinada por Western blotting. A apoptose foi avaliada por citometria de fluxo. RESULTADOS Os grupos glicose alta e glicose baixa foram submetidos à hipóxia-reoxigenação. O grupo de baixa glicose desenvolveu apenas danos celulares ligeiros, apoptose e uma resposta inflamatória. Em contraste, no grupo de alta glicose, uma lesão equivalente de hipóxia-reoxigenação provocou danos celulares graves, apoptose e uma resposta inflamatória. A expressão de TLR7 e suas proteínas relacionadas foi medida no grupo de alta glicose antes e após a hipóxia-reoxigenação. O grupo de alta glicose exibiu maiores aumentos na expressão de TLR7 após hipóxia-reoxigenação do que o grupo de baixa glicose. Além disso, a expressão de TLR7 e suas proteínas relacionadas após a hipóxia-reoxigenação foi maior no grupo com alto nível de glicose do que no grupo com baixo nível de glicose. A inibição do TLR7 fornece proteção significativa contra a lesão isquêmica no diabetes. CONCLUSÃO Nossos resultados sugerem que o diabetes aumenta a vulnerabilidade à lesão renal induzida por isquemia. Essa vulnerabilidade acrescida tem por origem uma resposta inflamatória aumentada envolvendo a via de transdução de sinal do TLR7.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE Diabetes is a risk factor for acute kidney injury (AKI). However, its mechanism of pathogenesis has not been elucidated. The aim of the study was to investigate the role of inflammation and the toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) in ischemic AKI for diabetes. METHODS A high glucose hypoxia-reoxygenation model of human renal tubular epithelial (HK-2) cells was used to generate AKI induced by ischemia-reperfusion in diabetes. The activity of cells was measured by CCK-8 assay and LDH activity. Inflammatory cytokines were assessed by ELISA. TLR7, MyD88, and NF-κB expressions were examined by western blotting. Apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometry. RESULTS The high glucose group and low glucose group were subjected to hypoxia-reoxygenation. The low glucose group developed only mild cell damage, apoptosis, and inflammatory response. In contrast, an equivalent hypoxia-reoxygenation injury provoked severe cell damage, apoptosis, and inflammatory response in the high glucose group. Expression of TLR7 and its related proteins were measured in the high glucose group before and after hypoxia-reoxygenation. The high glucose group exhibited more significant increases in TLR7 expression following hypoxia-reoxygenation than the low glucose group. In addition, the expression of TLR7 and its related proteins after hypoxia-reoxygenation were higher in the high glucose group than in the low glucose group. Inhibition of TLR7 provides significant protection against ischemic injury in diabetes. CONCLUSION Our results suggest that diabetes increases the vulnerability to ischemia-induced renal injury. This increased vulnerability originates from a heightened inflammatory response involving the TLR7 signal transduction pathway.

Abstract A large number of cracks occur in concrete structure after projectile penetration. The study of crack distribution and propagation process is the basis of damage assessment, structural repair and high dynamic fracture mechanism. In this paper, wire saw cutting, X-ray computed tomography (X-CT) and mechanical property testing of damaged concrete were carried out on deep penetration targets. According to X-CT images of radial core samples in target and the mechanical properties of damaged concrete, the crack distribution in the target was divided into a plastic damage zone and a brittle damage zone, and the microcracks only existed in the plastic damage zone. The initial growth process of three-dimensional cracks was obtained by X-CT images of axial core samples in target, that is, the cracks in the pure mortar target gradually developed from the radial direction to the tangential direction, and the target containing coarse aggregate directly formed tangential cracks. The propagation progress of cracks was obtained through the target section, that is, the tangential cracks bent in the pure mortar target, and were relatively straight in the target containing coarse aggregate. A crack propagation model was established, and the tangential crack formula and the crack propagation velocity were obtained.

The aim of this study was to elucidate the concise effects of a traditional herb pair, Curcumae rhizoma-Sparganii rhizoma (CRSR), on uterine leiomyoma (UL) by analyzing transcriptional profiling. The UL rat model was made by intramuscular injection of progesterone and gavage administration of diethylstilbestrol. From 11 weeks of the establishment of the model, rats of the UL+CRSR group were gavaged daily with CRSR (6.67 g/kg). The serum concentrations of progesterone (P) and estradiol (E2) were determined by radioimmunoassay, the uterine index was measured by caliper measurement, and the pathological status was observed by hematoxylin and eosin stain. Gene expression profiling was checked by NimbleGen Rat Gene Expression Microarrays. The results indicated that the uterine mass of UL+CRSR rats was significantly shrunk and serum P and E2 levels significantly reduced compared to UL animals and nearly to the level of normal rats. Results of microarrays displayed the extensive inhibition of CRSR upon the expression of proliferation and deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM)-related genes, and significantly regulated a wide range of metabolism disorders. Furthermore, CRSR extensively regulated key pathways of the UL process, such as MAPK, PPAR, Notch, and TGF-β/Smad. Regulation of the crucial pathways for the UL process and ECM metabolism may be the underlying mechanisms of CRSR treatment. Further studies will provide clear clues for effectively treating UL with CRSR.

Abstract Deep penetration experiments were performed on five types of concrete with different coarse aggregate content. The projectile diameter was 29.9 mm, the initial velocity was 647 m/s, and the volume fraction of the coarse aggregate was between 0% and 59.0%. The damage laws and damage mechanism of the target were analyzed. The pure mortar target had the smallest radial crack origin diameter and crater depth. Too high of the coarse aggregate content led to the formation of many voids, which led to the disappearance of radial cracks, crater surface bypassing the coarse aggregate and a large reduction of crater diameter. The influence laws and mechanism of the coarse aggregate on the penetration depth were also analyzed. The increase of volume fraction of coarse aggregate was beneficial to reducing penetration depth and the increase of voids volume fraction was opposite. The penetration depth was the lowest when the volume fraction of the coarse aggregate reached the maximum and no voids formed. By modifying the static resistance stress in the Forrestal penetration formula, a penetration depth model considering the volume fractions of the coarse aggregate and voids was established. The predicted results were in good agreement with the experimental results.

OBJECTIVE: To examine syphilis testing capacity, screening coverage rates and types of syphilis tests used in medical facilities in southern China. METHODS: Eleven of the 14 municipalities in Guangdong province participated. Data on syphilis testing capacity, screening coverage and types of syphilis tests used were collected from all types of public medical facilities offering prenatal care (n = 109). A total of 494 680 women who delivered during 2004-2008 were studied. FINDINGS: In 2008, 54 196 pregnant women (43.1%) were not screened for syphilis. Among such women, 32 863 (60.6%) attended clinics without any syphilis testing capacity and 21 333 (39.4%) attended clinics that performed testing but were not screened. The likelihood of not having syphilis test capacity was much higher for hygiene stations (odds ratio, OR: 10; 95% confidence interval, CI: 4-25), services at the township level (OR: 33; 95% CI: 10-100) and services with < 1000 deliveries per year (OR: 1.002; 95% CI: 1.001-1.003). These same service characteristics correlated with lower screening coverage rates (P < 0.01). Only one antenatal clinic had the capacity to conduct both treponemal and non-treponemal tests for diagnosing syphilis. CONCLUSION: Syphilis screening is available in very few of the basic medical facilities offering prenatal care where most neonates in southern China are delivered. In light of this and of the increasing incidence of syphilis in the area, expanding point-of-care rapid syphilis testing is a priority.

OBJETIVO: Examinar la capacidad para realizar pruebas de sífilis, evaluar las tasas de cobertura y los tipos de pruebas de sífilis utilizados en centros médicos del sur de China. MÉTODOS: Participaron once de los catorce municipios de la provincia de Guangdong. Se recopilaron datos sobre la capacidad de realizar pruebas de sífilis, la cobertura de evaluación y los tipos de pruebas de sífilis de todos los tipos de centros médicos públicos que ofrecen cuidados prenatales (n = 109). Se estudió a un total de 494 680 mujeres que dieron a luz durante el periodo 2004-2008. RESULTADOS: En el año 2008, 54 196 mujeres embarazadas (el 43,1%) no fueron evaluadas para la sífilis. De estas mujeres, 32 863 (el 60,6%) acudieron a clínicas sin capacidad para realizar pruebas de sífilis y 21 333 (el 39,4%) acudieron a clínicas que realizaban la prueba, aunque ésta no se les realizó. La probabilidad de no disponer de capacidad para realizar la prueba de sífilis era muy superior en puestos de salud (cociente de probabilidades, CP: 10; intervalo de confianza del 95%, IC: 4-25), servicios municipales (CP: 33; IC del 95%: 10-100) y servicios con < 1000 partos al año (CP: 1.002; IC del 95%: 1.001-1.003). Estas mismas características de servicio correlacionadas con tasas de cobertura de evaluación inferiores (P < 0,01). Solo seis (5,5%) tipos de servicios de cuidados prenatales tienen la capacidad de realizar pruebas treponémicas y no treponémicas para el diagnóstico de la sífilis. CONCLUSIÓN: La evaluación de la sífilis está disponible en muy pocas de las instalaciones médicas básicas que ofrecen cuidados prenatales y donde se da a luz a la mayor parte de los neonatos del sur de China. A causa de esto y del aumento de la incidencia de la sífilis en la zona, la ampliación de los puntos de asistencia para la realización de pruebas rápidas de sífilis es una prioridad.

Un total de 494 680 femmes ayant accouché entre 2004 et 2008 ont fait l'objet de l'étude. RÉSULTATS: En 2008, 54 196 femmes enceintes (43,1%) n'ont pas subi le dépistage de la syphilis. Parmi ces femmes, 32 863 d'entre elles (60,6%) se sont rendues dans des cliniques ne disposant d'aucune capacité pour effectuer le dépistage de la syphilis et 21 333 d'entre elles (39,4%) n'ont pas subi de dépistage, bien qu'elles soient allées dans des cliniques aptes à le réaliser. La probabilité du manque de capacité de dépistage de la syphilis était beaucoup plus élevée pour les centres de santé (rapport des cotes, RC: 10; intervalle de confiance de 95%, IC: 4-25), les services au niveau communal (RC: 33; IC de 95%: 10-100) et les services réalisant moins de 1000 accouchements par an (RC: 1,002; IC de 95%; 1,001-1,003). Ces mêmes caractéristiques de service étaient en corrélation avec des taux de couverture de dépistage inférieurs (P<0,01). Seuls six (5,5%) types de services de soins prénataux disposaient de la capacité de mener des tests tréponémiques et non tréponémiques pour diagnostiquer la syphilis. CONCLUSION: Le dépistage de la syphilis n'est disponible que dans très peu d'établissements médicaux de base qui proposent des soins prénataux, dans lesquels la plupart des nouveau-nés de Chine méridionale voient le jour. À la lumière de ces informations et de l'incidence croissante de la syphilis dans cette région, l'extension du dépistage rapide de la syphilis aux points sanitaires est une priorité.
