ABSTRACT Currently with a more demanding market, is necessary to produce better and high physiological quality cultivars of soybeans. In front of this new challenge, our objective was to evaluate the physiological quality of 11 soybean cultivars: CD201, SYN1263, SYN1279, BMX, UFLA1, CA115, CD215, CD202, Conquista, Savana, and BRS820 storage for 12 months. Evaluations were conducted through physiological like germination and vigor (accelerated aging and controlled deterioration) and isoenzymes analysis. The seeds were stored under controlled conditions at 10 °C and 10% relative humidity. It was assessed every four months (0, 4, 8, and 12). 200 seeds per treatment were used for each test, divided into 4 replications of 50 seeds. The number of normal plants was evaluated on the fifth and seventh days, expressed as a percentage value. Isoenzyme analysis of MDH, ADH, Esterase, and Catalase was made. The results were interpreted from the presence or absence of bands in the gel. An experimental design in randomized complete blocks, interpreting data using analysis of variance in a factorial scheme 11 x 4 (11 cultivars and 4 times of storage and averages compared by the test Scott-Knott 5% of probability and regression analysis. Abstract Young and adult education (Educação de jovens e adultos or EJA) in Brazil is a modality of education that involves individuals who were restrained from their right to attend school at a proper age. In the context of numerous educational reforms implemented in the country, training has been discussed and evaluated considering the significant changes that have taken place in productive processes, work organization, new technologies, and educational public policies. The objective is to problematize the initial training of EJA teachers, based on the importance of literature and digital technologies in literacy processes, identifying ways of inserting literary works as access to national cultural goods. The research methodology, of a qualitative nature, mapped studies, research and extensionist actions produced in the digital environment and in teacher training workshops promoted by the public university in schools in the East Fluminense region of the State of Rio de Janeiro. From the results, it was verified the intensification of the use of literature and poetry and, particularly, the use of different digital means as the main methodological ways in the classroom. As a way of investigating the narrative, questionnaires were applied to forty teachers. From this qualitative analysis, it was possible to problematize the practices of Initial and Continuing Training of teachers and collaborate with the didactic-pedagogical processes of teaching practices to guarantee the right to education. Resumo A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no Brasil é uma modalidade da educação que abrange indivíduos que foram cerceados do direito de frequentar a escola em idade própria. No âmbito das inúmeras reformas educacionais implementadas no país, a formação tem sido discutida e avaliada tendo em vista as mudanças significativas ocorridas nos processos produtivos, na organização do trabalho, nas novas tecnologias e nas políticas públicas educacionais. Objetiva-se problematizar a formação inicial de professores da EJA, a partir da importância da literatura e das tecnologias digitais em processos alfabetizadores, identificando formas de inserção de obras literárias como acesso aos bens culturais nacionais. A metodologia de pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, mapeou estudos, pesquisas e ações extensionistas produzidas em âmbito digital e nos ateliês de formação de professores promovidos pela universidade pública em escolas da região Leste Fluminense do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Dos resultados, verificou-se a intensificação da utilização da literatura e da poesia e, particularmente, com a utilização de diferentes meios digitais como principais vias metodológicas em sala de aula. Como forma de investigação da narrativa, utilizou-se a aplicação de questionários a quarenta professores. A partir dessa análise qualitativa, foi possível problematizar as práticas de Formação Inicial e Continuada de professores, e colaborar com os processos didáticos-pedagógicos das práticas docentes a fim de garantir o direito à educação.

Apontam, ainda, para uma incipiente regulação pública sobre a autorização da abertura dos cursos de Enfermagem, a qual deveria estar adequada à capacidade da rede de Atenção Primária à Saúde, do que vem resultando intensa disputa entre Instituições de Ensino Superior públicas e privadas pela ocupação dos campos de prática. A ausência de diálogo e de planejamento integrado entre os setores da saúde e da educação e a falta de decisão política para a implementação de Contratos Organizativos de Ação Pública Ensino-Saúde, se associam em um efeito que corrói por dentro a necessária interinstitucionalidade proclamada pelas diretrizes da integração ensino-serviço.

ABSTRACT. In soybeans, the integument or seed coat is an important modulator between the external and internal environment. It plays a fundamental role in seed vitality, and its lignin content may influence the seed quality. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the quality of soybean seeds from a partial diallel and their reciprocals and its relationship with lignin content, seed coat thickness, and deposition location. The seeds were also evaluated for physiological quality through germination and accelerated aging tests. The lignin content was quantified by absorbance, and the integument thickness was analyzed and measured using scanning electron microscopy. The most contrasting cultivars for lignin content were analyzed using fluorescence microscopy and histochemical techniques. Cultivars and their reciprocals differed in seed physiological quality. We found differences in the genotypes for integument thickness. Using histochemical techniques, autofluorescence was observed in the same regions identified as lignified. Positive staining for lignin was observed in the hilum region. RESUMO: Diversas técnicas são utilizadas para avaliar a qualidade das sementes; entretanto, a maioria deles é destrutiva e requer um tempo de execução considerável. O teste de raios X tem se mostrado uma técnica não destrutiva eficiente para a avaliação da qualidade de sementes. Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar danos internos em sementes de ipê-roxo (Handroanthus impetiginosus) por meio de testes de raios X e investigar como esses danos afetam a germinação das sementes. Amostras de quatro lotes de sementes de ipê-roxo foram expostas à radiação e, posteriormente, as radiografias foram analisadas no software ImageJ, sendo as sementes divididas em quatro classes de acordo com sua morfologia interna: 1) sementes com cavidade embrionária preenchida com mais de 50%; 2) cavidade embrionária preenchida até 50%; 3) cavidade embrionária atacada por insetos; e 4) cavidade embrionária vazia. Em seguida, as sementes foram submetidas ao teste de germinação e, após 21 dias, foram classificadas como germinadas, não germinadas, mortas e plântulas normais e anormais. A análise radiográfica permitiu a identificação precisa de danos, como malformação embrionária e danos por insetos. ABSTRACT: Several techniques are used to evaluate seed quality; however, most of them are destructive and require considerable execution time. The X-ray test has proven to be an efficient nondestructive technique for evaluating the quality of seeds. This study aimed to evaluate internal damage in ipê-roxo (Handroanthus impetiginosus) seeds through X-ray tests and to investigate how it affects seed germination. Samples from four lots of ipê-roxo seeds were exposed to radiation and, subsequently, the radiographs were analyzed using ImageJ software and the seeds divided into four classes based on their internal morphology: 1) seeds with an embryonic cavity filled with more than 50%; 2) an embryonic cavity filled up to 50%; 3) an embryonic cavity attacked by insects; and 4) an empty embryonic cavity. After that, the seeds were subjected to a germination test and, after 21 days, scored as germinated, nongerminated, dead, and normal and abnormal seedlings. RESUMO: Atualmente a demanda não é somente para híbridos de milho mais produtivos, mas também que apresentem alta qualidade fisiológica de sementes. A qualidade de sementes é considerada o somatório dos atributos genéticos, físicos, fisiológicos e sanitários que interferem diretamente no vigor das plantas. Objetivou-se avaliar os parâmetros fisiológicos de sementes dos parentais e híbridos de milho obtidos, por meio de análises fisiológicas e técnicas de análise de imagens, bem como estudar a viabilidade da seleção simultânea para a qualidade fisiológica de sementes e produtividade de grãos. Foram realizados dois experimentos, um à campo e o outro em laboratório. Os parâmetros avaliados em campo foram dias para o florescimento feminino, dias para o florescimento masculino, inserção da 1ª espiga, altura de plantas e produtividade de grãos. Para a qualidade fisiológica foram obtidos os atributos de germinação aos quatro dias, germinação aos sete dias, vigor pelo teste de frio, índice de velocidade de emergência e a razão do comprimento da raiz pelo comprimento da parte aérea através do GroundEye®. Obteve-se a heterose para os caracteres agronômicos e fisiológicos. O desdobramento dos efeitos por meio do contraste entre híbridos e recíprocos permitiu testar o efeito materno. As magnitudes da heterose permitem inferir que quanto maior o número de ciclos seletivos e de recombinação, em média maior será a heterose para os caracteres produtividade de grãos e germinação das sementes. A resposta correlacionada indica que híbridos intervarietais mais produtivos apresentam melhor qualidade fisiológica de sementes. ABSTRACT: Currently, the demand is not only for more productive corn hybrids, but also for those with high physiological seed quality. Seed quality is considered the sum of genetic, physical, physiological and sanitary attributes that directly interfere in plant vigor. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physiological parameters of the seeds of parents and maize inter varietal hybrids obtained in a reciprocal recurrent selection program through physiological and image analysis techniques and either to study the feasibility of simultaneously selecting for seed physiological quality and grain yield. Two experiments were performed, one in the field and the other in the laboratory. The evaluated traits in the field were days of female flowering, days of male flowering, insertion of the 1st ear, plant height and grain yield. For the physiological quality, the attributes of germination at four days, germination at seven days, vigor by the cold test, emergence speed index, and the ratio of the root length to shoot length were obtained using GroundEye®. Heterosis was measured for the agronomic and physiological traits. Through the contrast between the inter varietal crosse hybrids and reciprocals we measured the maternal effect. The magnitudes of heterosis allowed us to infer that as greater as the number of selection and recombination cycles, on average, greater heterosis for the traits grain yield and seed germination. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho fenotípico de linhagens elite de arroz de terras altas submetidas a diferentes condições de temperatura durante o estágio de emborrachamento (R2). Foram avaliadas oito linhagens elite do Programa de Melhoramento Genético de Arroz de Terras Altas, sob seis temperaturas: 12, 17, 20, 25, 29 e 32°C. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação e em câmaras climatizadas com controle de fotoperíodo. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com três repetições. Foram mensurados número de dias para o f lorescimento, altura da planta, número de panículas e esterilidade de espiguetas. As linhagens de arroz de terras altas não toleram as baixas temperaturas de 12 e 17°C, o que resulta em baixo desempenho dos componentes de rendimento e esterilidade de 100% dos grãos. Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the phenotypic performance of elite upland rice lines subjected to different temperature conditions during the booting stage (R2). Eight elite lines from an upland rice breeding program were evaluated under six temperatures: 12, 17, 20, 25, 29, and 32°C. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse and climatic chambers with photoperiod control. The experimental design was completely randomized, with three replicates. Number of days to flowering, plant height, number of panicles, and spikelet sterility were measured. The upland rice lines do not tolerate the low temperatures of 12 and 17°C, which result in a low performance in yield components and a grain sterility of 100%. Abstract: This review aimed to identify and synthesize the perceptions of mental healthcare professionals, family members, and users about mental health crisis interventions for children and adolescents at hospitals and community mental health services. A qualitative systematic review was conducted following the Joanna Briggs Institution guidelines. The search was performed in 15 databases, with no temporal delimitation, and included studies in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. All works were assessed regarding methodological quality, credibility, and dependability according to the ConQual score and the recommendations were assessed following the Joanna Briggs Institution guidelines. In total, two independent reviewers screened and assessed the studies, extracted their data, developed categories, and conducted the thematic synthesis. A total of 13 studies met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. From these, five syntheses were developed: importance of relationships; importance of procedures during treatment; positive emotional responses to treatment; negative emotional responses to treatment; and issues with health professionals and health services. All five syntheses presented high dependability; two syntheses presented high credibility; and three presented moderate credibility. Mental healthcare professionals, family members and users had convergent perceptions about crisis intervention provided at healthcare services. Understanding their perceptions to improve care and the user experience in this vulnerable situation is crucial.

Resumo: Esta revisão teve como objetivo identificar e sintetizar as percepções de profissionais de saúde mental, familiares e usuários sobre a intervenção em crises de saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes em hospitais e serviços comunitários especializados. Uma revisão sistemática qualitativa foi conduzida de acordo com as diretrizes do Instituto Joanna Briggs. A busca foi feita em 15 bases de dados, sem delimitação temporal, selecionando estudos nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Todos os estudos incluídos foram avaliados quanto à qualidade metodológica, credibilidade e confiabilidade de acordo com o escore ConQual e as recomendações foram avaliadas pelas diretrizes do Instituto Joanna Briggs. Dois revisores independentes examinaram e avaliaram os estudos, extraíram dados, e elaboraram categorias e síntese temática. Ao todo, 13 estudos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Foram elaboradas cinco sínteses: importância dos relacionamentos; importância dos procedimentos durante o tratamento; respostas emocionais positivas ao tratamento; respostas emocionais negativas ao tratamento; e questões sobre a equipe de saúde e os serviços de saúde. Todas as cinco sínteses apresentaram alta confiabilidade; duas sínteses apresentaram alta credibilidade; e três apresentaram credibilidade moderada. Profissionais de saúde mental, familiares e usuários apresentaram percepções convergentes sobre a intervenção em crises prestada nos serviços de saúde. É fundamental entender as percepções do usuário para melhorar seu atendimento e experiência nessa situação vulnerável.

Se realizó una revisión sistemática cualitativa de acuerdo con las directrices del Instituto Joanna Briggs. La búsqueda se realizó en 15 bases de datos, sin delimitación temporal, seleccionando estudios en portugués, inglés y español. Todos los estudios incluidos se evaluaron en cuanto a la calidad metodológica, la credibilidad y la confiabilidad de acuerdo con la puntuación ConQual y las recomendaciones se evaluaron utilizando las directrices del Instituto Joanna Briggs. Dos revisores independientes examinaron y evaluaron los estudios, extrajeron datos y elaboraron categorías y síntesis temáticas. En total, 13 estudios cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se elaboraron cinco síntesis: importancia de las relaciones; importancia de los procedimientos durante el tratamiento; respuestas emocionales positivas al tratamiento; respuestas emocionales negativas al tratamiento; y preguntas sobre el equipo de salud y los servicios de salud. Todas las cinco síntesis mostraron una alta confiabilidad; dos síntesis presentaron alta credibilidad; y tres presentaron una credibilidad moderada. Profesionales de salud mental, familiares y usuarios presentaron percepciones convergentes sobre la intervención en crisis brindada en los servicios de salud. Es fundamental comprender las percepciones de los usuarios para mejorar su atención y experiencia en esta situación vulnerable.

Resumo O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar alternativas para a modelagem hipsométrica generalista de eucalipto via regressão linear, com a inclusão de índices de competição independentes da distância como variável preditora. Os dados utilizados foram provenientes de 34 parcelas distribuídas em quatro unidades de manejo florestal com 72 meses de idade. Calcularam-se 7 índices de competição independentes da distância. Avaliou-se o desempenho preditivo de 16 modelos hipsométricos generalistas, sendo propostos 14 modelos de dupla entrada (DAP e índice de competição). Todas as equações geradas foram biologicamente consistentes. Diante da ausência de informações da altura de árvores dominantes, a modelagem generalista pode ser melhor viabilizada com a inclusão do índice IC4, que representa a área basal de árvores vizinhas competidoras. Conclui-se que a inclusão de índices de competição em modelos hipsométricos ampliam a capacidade de generalização de equações para talhões de eucalipto com distintas capacidades produtivas. O índice de competição IC4 favorece a qualidade de ajuste e desempenho preditivo da modelagem hipsométrica nos sítios estudados.

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate alternatives for general hypsometric modeling of eucalypt through linear regression, with inclusion of distance-independent competition indices as a predictor variable. The data was collected from 34 plots distributed in four 72-month-old forest management units. Seven distance-independent competition indices were calculated. The study evaluated the predictive performance of 16 general hypsometric models, and 14 double-entry models (DAP and competition index) were proposed. All equations generated were biologically consistent. Given the lack of information on the height of dominant trees, general modeling can be better employed with inclusion of the IC4 index, which represents basal area of neighboring competing trees. It is concluded that the inclusion of competition indices in hypsometric models increases generalization capacity of equations for eucalyptus stands with different productive capacities. The IC4 competition index enhances fit quality and predictive performance of the hypsometric modeling in the study sites.

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a ocorrência do efeito materno na tolerância à termoinibição em sementes de alface (Lactuca sativa), bem como encontrar um marcador enzimático para esta característica em mudas de alface. Foram utilizadas sementes da cultivar termotolerante Everglades, da cultivar suscetível Verônica e de seus híbridos recíprocos. Para cada cultivar e híbrido recíproco, foram conduzidos testes de germinação e vigor (índice de velocidade de germinação) a 20 e 32°C. A termotolerância foi definida pela capacidade de germinação a 32°C. Para encontrar marcadores que pudessem ser associados com a termotolerância, foram realizados testes enzimáticos. As bandas eletroforéticas dos extratos enzimáticos foram quantificadas por meio do programa ImageJ. Os híbridos apresentaram comportamento semelhante ao dos seus genitores femininos. Quando a cultivar Verônica foi o genitor feminino, as sementes dos híbridos não germinaram sob alta temperatura e apresentaram menor expressão da enzima esterase. Porém, quando a cultivar Everglades foi o genitor feminino, os híbridos apresentaram alta germinação sob temperatura elevada e maior expressão da esterase. Portanto, há efeito materno na tolerância à termoinibição em sementes de alface, e a enzima esterase apresenta potencial como marcador para identificar progênies homozigotas para essa característica. Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the occurrence of the maternal effect on thermotolerance in lettuce (Lactuca sativa) seeds, as well as to find an enzymatic marker for this trait in lettuce seedlings. Seeds from the Everglades thermotolerant cultivar, the Verônica susceptible cultivar, and their reciprocal hybrids were used. For each cultivar and reciprocal hybrid, germination percentage and vigor (germination speed index) tests were carried out at 20 and 32°C. Thermotolerance was defined as the capacity to germinate at 32°C. To obtain markers that could be associated with thermotolerance, enzymatic tests were performed. The bands of the electrophoretic enzymatic extracts were quantified using the ImageJ software. The hybrids behaved similarly to their female genitors. When cultivar Verônica was the female genitor, hybrid seeds did not germinate at high temperatures and showed a lower expression of the esterase enzyme. However, when the female genitor was the Everglades cultivar, hybrids showed a high germination at high temperatures and a greater esterase expression. ABSTRACT Dry conditioning and sucrose pulsing are techniques used to improve the durability of flower stems. Dry conditioning helps to balance the osmotic potential of the flower stems and can be applied after harvest and transportation. The objective was to evaluate how different dry conditioning times followed by sucrose pulsing may affect the postharvest quality, durability, and physiological aspects of torch ginger flower stems. For this purpose, flower stems were collected and submitted to dry conditioning for different periods: 0-h, 3-h, 6-h, 12-h, and 24-h. Every 3 days, visual quality, percentage of true flowers, absorption rate, water content, fresh and dry weights, and colorimetric parameters were evaluated. The concentration of pigments, biochemistry of the antioxidant system, and macromolecules were analyzed. Resumo: Sob altas temperaturas, sementes de alface não germinam, resultando em problemas para o estabelecimento da cultura em condição de campo. Esse trabalho analisou a possibilidade de presença de efeito maternal na termotolerância em sementes de alface e buscou marcadores enzimáticos para tal. Usaram-se as cultivares Everglades (tolerante) e ‘Verônica’ (sensível), bem como seus híbridos recíprocos e a geração F2. As sementes foram analisadas quanto à germinação, bem como atividade enzimática (catalase, superóxido dismutase, ascorbato peroxidase e endo-β-mananase). O percentual de germinação; (primeira contagem e final), bem como a velocidade (IVG) foram analisados por meio de ANOVA e teste de Tukey. A cultivar Everglades e seus híbridos recíprocos não foram influenciados pela germinação em alta temperatura quando comparados com os outros tratamentos. Além disso, o efeito maternal foi observado na geração F1. Altas temperaturas interferem na atividade de todas as enzimas analisadas nesta pesquisa, consequentemente também nos parâmetros fisiológicos. Contudo, a superóxido dismutase e a endo-β-mananase tiveram suas variações altamente correlacionadas com as mudanças nos parâmetros fisiológicos. Abstract: At higher temperatures, lettuce seeds may not germinate, resulting in problems for crop establishment in the field and production. This study aimed to evaluate the maternal effect for thermotolerance on lettuce seeds and find enzymatic markers. We used the thermoinhibition tolerant cultivar ‘Everglades’, the sensitive ‘Verônica’, their reciprocal hybrids, F1 and F2 generation.
