ABSTRACT The feeding habits of the bonito Euthynnus alletteratus and the albacore Thunnus alalunga were assessed by analyzing the contents of 85 stomachs (50 from bonito and 35 from albacore) collected between March 2018 and April 2019. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the prey found in the stomach contents was conducted, as well as of the trophic spectrum between species and climatic seasons. Climatic information was obtained through satellite images, analyzing variables such as sea surface temperature, salinity, and winds. In terms of abundance, the most representative prey were the fish Sardinella aurita (42.48 %) and Teleostei remains (27.45 %) for E. alletteratus, and Megalopa larvae (56.89 %) and Teleostei remains (10.26 %) for T. alalunga. The relative importance index indicates that the main prey for E. alletteratus were Teleostei remains (IRI = 1460.65) and Sardinella aurita (IRI = 1179.70), while, for T. alalunga they were megalopa larvae (IRI = 1367.19) and Teleostei remains (IRI = 840.94). These large pelagic predators were classified as generalists, with a low prey diversity in their stomach content. No trophic overlap was observed between the two species.

RESUMEN Se evaluaron los hábitos alimentarios del bonito Euthynnus alletteratus y la albacora Thunnus alalunga a partir del análisis de los contenidos de 85 estómagos (50 de bonito y 35 de albacora) recolectados entre marzo de 2018 y abril de 2019. Se realizó un análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo de las presas encontradas en dichos estómagos, así como del espectro trófico entre especies y temporadas climáticas. La información climática se obtuvo a través de imágenes satelitales, analizando variables como la temperatura superficial del mar, la salinidad y los vientos. En términos de abundancia, las presas más representativas fueron el pez Sardinella aurita (42.48 %) y restos de Teleostei (27.45 %) para E. alletteratus, y larvas megalopa (56.89 %) y restos de Teleostei (10.26 %) para T. alalunga. El índice de importancia relativa indica, como presas principales, a restos de Teleostei (IRI = 1460.65) y Sardinella aurita (IRI = 1179.70) para E. alletteratus, y a larvas megalopa (IRI = 1367.19) y restos de Teleostei (IRI = 840.94) para T. alalunga. Estos grandes depredadores pelágicos fueron catalogados como generalistas, con baja diversidad de presas en el contenido estomacal, y no se observó solapamiento trófico entre las dos especies.

Abstract Nanofertilizers represent an efficient method for fertilizing crops, with a positive impact on plant development. This work aimed to determine the impact of Nubiotek Ultra Ca and Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg nanofertilizers on the yield and quality of cucumber fruits in 2020. Two doses of Nubiotek Ultra Ca (0 and 20 L ha-1) and four doses of Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg (0, 2, 4, and 8 ml L-1) were evaluated. An experimental design of randomized complete blocks was used with a factorial arrangement (2x4), with four repetitions. The results showed that the nanofertilizers evaluated did not improve internode distance, dry weight of each organ, root length, total soluble solids, vitamin C, titratable acidity, and fruit color parameters compared to the values obtained with the control. On the other hand, with the treatments of 0 L ha-1 Nubiotek Ultra Ca + 8 ml L-1 Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg and 20 L ha-1 Nubiotek Ultra Ca + 2 ml L-1 Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg, the fruit yield increased by 111 and 123%, respectively, compared to the control. Likewise, a greater firmness of fruits was observed when applying Nubiotek Ultra Ca and Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg in doses of 20 L ha-1 + 8 ml L-1 ; on the other hand, the highest content of chlorophyll a, b and total was achieved with doses of 20 L ha-1 + 4 ml L-1 and 20 L ha-1 + 8 ml L-1.

Resumen Los nanofertilizantes representan un método eficiente para fertilizar los cultivos con un impacto positivo en el desarrollo de las plantas. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar el impacto de los nanofertilizantes Nubiotek Ultra Ca y Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg sobre el rendimiento y calidad de frutos de pepino, en el año 2020. Se evaluaron dos dosis de Nubiotek Ultra Ca (0 y 20 L ha-1) y cuatro dosis de Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg (0, 2, 4 y 8 ml L-1). Se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloques completos al azar con un arreglo factorial (2x4), con cuatro repeticiones. Los resultados mostraron que los nanofertilizantes evaluados no mejoraron la distancia de entrenudo, peso seco de cada órgano, longitud de raíz, sólidos solubles totales, vitamina C, acidez titulable y los parámetros de color de fruto respecto a los valores obtenidos con el testigo. En cambio, con los tratamientos 0 L ha-1 de Nubiotek Ultra Ca + 8 ml L-1 de Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg y 20 L ha-1 de Nubiotek Ultra Ca + 2 ml L-1 de Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg se incrementó el rendimiento de fruto en 111 y 123%, respectivamente, con relación al testigo. Asimismo, se observó una mayor firmeza de frutos al aplicar Nubiotek Ultra Ca y Nubiotek Hyper Fe+Mg en dosis de 20 L ha-1 + 8 ml L-1; en tanto que, el mayor contenido de clorofila a, b y total se logró con las dosis de 20 L ha-1 + 4 ml L-1 y 20 L ha-1 + 8 ml L-1.

It also describes and analyses the agendas of the country’s re-democratization process, the clashes over public policies in the National Constituent Assembly, and the process of setting up an integrated and universal system of education and collective public health from a participatory perspective.

Abstract Very early onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEOI BD) is a rare entity in pediatrics. Its association with pri mary immunodeficiencies of monogenic origin is known. We present the case of a patient diagnosed with VEOIBD who underwent massive paralleled exome sequencing. The result of the study showed a pathogenic variant in the RET proto-oncogene, associated with multiple endo crine neoplasia type 2A disease. There are no previous reports of association of RET proto-oncogene variants with VEOIBD. The presence of these two clinical entities cannot be attributed to a single genetic cause.

Resumen La enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal de inicio muy temprano (VEOIBD) es una entidad rara en pediatría. Es conocida su asociación con inmunodeficiencias prima rias de origen monogénico. Presentamos el caso de una paciente con diagnóstico de VEOIBD a quien se le realizó una secuenciación masiva del exoma. El resultado del estudio permitió identificar una variante patogénica en el proto oncogen RET, asociada con enfermedad neoplasia endocrina múltiple tipo 2A. No hay reportes de asociación de variantes en el proto oncogen RET con VEOIBD. No se puede adjudicar la presencia de estas dos entidades clínicas a una única causa genética.

RESUMEN Introducción: El empleo del ozono como agente terapéutico es uno de los descubrimientos más notables en la medicina alternativa. A pesar de su extendido uso, es tóxico por vía inhalatoria, la exposición a este gas puede producir, daños de la vía respiratoria superior y del epitelio bronquial. Objetivo: Evaluar la exposición ocupacional a ozono en áreas de tratamiento de ozonoterapia de La Habana. Métodos: Estudio exploratorio descriptivo, se estudiaron 21 trabajadores de 16 áreas de tratamiento de ozonoterapia, se les realizaron análisis clínicos, incluyendo ceruloplasmina, además de pruebas funcionales ventilatorias. Se determinaron las concentraciones de ozono en el aire del ambiente laboral en 29 áreas de tratamiento. Resultados: La insuflación rectal fue la forma de aplicación más utilizada. El 42,8 % refirieron padecer de rinitis alérgica, seguido de gripes frecuentes y de asma bronquial. El 33,3 % de los valores de la ceruloplasmina resultaron alterados. Los resultados de las pruebas funcionales ventilatorias mostraron que el 28,6 % de los trabajadores presentaron patrón obstructivo. En la evaluación ambiental se reportaron 2 centros de salud con concentraciones promedio por encima de los límites admisibles. Conclusiones: La hipertensión arterial y la rinitis alérgica fueron las patologías más frecuentes. Las cifras de ceruloplasmina alteradas se presentaron en trabajadores con mayor tiempo de exposición. Los trastornos ventilatorios obstructivos observados, coinciden con las patologías respiratorias referidas por los trabajadores. El 93,1 % de los valores de concentración promedio, en el aire de la zona de trabajo, se comportó por debajo de los límites admisibles.

ABSTRACT Introduction: The use of ozone as a therapeutic agent is one of the most notable discoveries in alternative medicine. Despite its widespread use, it is toxic by inhalation; exposure to this gas can cause damage to the upper respiratory tract and bronchial epithelium. Objective: To evaluate occupational exposure to ozone in ozone therapy treatment areas of Havana. Methods: Descriptive exploratory study, 21 workers from 16 ozone therapy treatment areas were studied, clinical analyzes were performed, including ceruloplasmin, in addition to ventilatory functional tests. Ozone concentrations in the air of the work environment were determined in 29 treatment areas. Results: Rectal insufflation was the most used form of application. 42.8% reported suffering from allergic rhinitis, followed by frequent flu and bronchial asthma. 33.3% of ceruloplasmin values were altered. The results of the ventilatory functional tests showed that 28.6% of the workers presented an obstructive pattern. In the environmental evaluation, 2 health centers were reported with average concentrations above the admissible limits. Conclusions: High blood pressure and allergic rhinitis were the most frequent pathologies. The altered ceruloplasmin levels occurred in workers with longer exposure times. The obstructive ventilatory disorders observed coincide with the respiratory pathologies reported by the workers. 93.1% of the average concentration values, in the air of the work area, were below the permissible limits.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To assess maternal mortality (MM) in Brazilian Black, Pardo, and White women. METHODS We evaluated the maternal mortality rate (MMR) using data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health public databases from 2017 to 2022. We compared MMR among Black, Pardo, and White women according to the region of the country, age, and cause. For statistical analysis, the Q2 test prevalence ratio (PR) and confidence interval (CI) were calculated. RESULTS From 2017 to 2022, the general MMR was 68.0/100,000 live births (LB). The MMR was almost twice as high among Black women compared to White (125.81 vs 64.15, PR = 1.96, 95%CI:1.84–2.08) and Pardo women (125.8 vs 64.0, PR = 1.96, 95%CI: 1.85–2.09). MMR was higher among Black women in all geographical regions, and the Southeast region reached the highest difference among Black and White women (115.5 versus 60.8, PR = 2.48, 95%CI: 2.03–3.03). During the covid-19 pandemic, MMR increased in all groups of women (Black 144.1, Pardo 74.8 and White 80.5/100.000 LB), and the differences between Black and White (PR = 1.79, 95%CI: 1.64–1.95) and Black and Pardo (PR = 1.92, 95%CI: 1.77–2.09) remained. MMR was significantly higher among Black women than among White or Pardo women in all age ranges and for all causes. CONCLUSION Black women presented higher MMR in all years, in all geographic regions, age groups, and causes. In Brazil, Black skin color is a key MM determinant. Reducing MM requires reducing racial disparities.

RESUMO A fístula ureteroarterial (UAF) é uma condição rara, mas potencialmente fatal, que geralmente se manifesta como hematúria. Foi apresentado um novo caso de UAF que apresentou hemorragia maciça e choque hipovolêmico em uma paciente do sexo feminino com história de cirurgia protética vascular e colocação de stent ureteral de longa duração para litíase urinária. Reconhecer esta condição é difícil, mas crucial para um diagnóstico rápido e tratamento adequado. A angiografia oferece o maior benefício diagnóstico e o implante de stent arterial é atualmente o tratamento de escolha. Neste paciente, a suspeita clínica precoce possibilitou o tratamento endovascular curativo de forma eficaz e segura.

ABSTRACT Uretero-arterial fistula (UAF) is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening condition that usually manifests as hematuria. We report a new case of UAF presenting with massive bleeding and hypovolemic shock in a patient with a history of vascular prosthetic surgery and long-term ureteral stenting for urinary lithiasis. Recognizing this condition is difficult but crucial for a prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Angiography offers the highest diagnostic benefit and arterial stent-graft placement is nowadays the treatment of choice. In our patient early clinical suspicion made curative endovascular treatment possible in an effective and safe way.

RESUMEN La fístula ureteroarterial (FAU) es una afección infrecuente pero potencialmente mortal que suele manifestarse como hematuria. Se presentó un nuevo caso de FAU que cursó con hemorragia masiva y choque hipovolémico en paciente femenina con antecedentes de cirugía vascular protésica y colocación de endoprótesis ureteral a largo plazo por litiasis urinaria. Reconocer esta afección es difícil pero crucial para un diagnóstico rápido y un tratamiento adecuado. La angiografía ofrece el mayor beneficio diagnóstico y la colocación de un stent arterial es hoy en día el tratamiento de elección. En esta paciente la sospecha clínica precoz hizo posible el tratamiento endovascular curativo de forma eficaz y segura.

RESUMO Objetivo: Comparar a eficácia da posição prona consciente nos desfechos clínicos relevantes em pacientes com insuficiência respiratória aguda relacionada à COVID-19 que necessitaram de oxigênio nasal de alto fluxo em diferentes ondas da doença na Argentina. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo de coorte prospectivo e multicêntrico, que incluiu pacientes adultos com insuficiência respiratória aguda relacionada à COVID-19 que necessitaram de oxigênio nasal de alto fluxo. A principal posição de exposição foi a prona consciente (≥ 6 horas/dia) em comparação com a prona não consciente. O desfecho primário foi a intubação endotraqueal, e o secundário foi a mortalidade hospitalar. Utilizou-se o escore de propensão de ponderação pela probabilidade inversa para ajustar a probabilidade condicional de atribuição de tratamento. Em seguida, ajustamos as variáveis contextuais, que variaram ao longo do tempo e comparamos a eficácia entre a primeira e a segunda onda. Resultados: Ao todo, 728 pacientes foram incluídos: 360 durante a primeira onda e 368 durante a segunda onda, dos quais 195 (54%) e 227 (62%) permaneceram em prona consciente numa mediana (intervalo interquatil 25 - 75%) de 12 (10 - 16) e 14 (8 - 17) horas/dia, respectivamente (Grupo Prona Consciente). As razões de chance (intervalo de confiança de 95%) de intubação endotraqueal no grupo prona em vigília foram de 0,25 (0,13 - 0,46) e 0,19 (0,09 - 0,31) na primeira e segunda ondas, respectivamente (p = 0,41 comparativamente entre as ondas). As razões de chance de mortalidade intra-hospitalar na posição prona consciente foram de 0,35 (0,17 - 0,65) e 0,22 (0,12 - 0,43), respectivamente (p = 0,44 comparativamente entre as ondas). Conclusão: A posição prona consciente foi associada à redução no risco de intubação endotraqueal e mortalidade hospitalar. ABSTRACT Objective: To compare the effectiveness of the awake-prone position on relevant clinical outcomes in patients with COVID-19-related acute respiratory failure requiring high-flow nasal oxygen between different waves in Argentina. Methods: This multicenter, prospective cohort study included adult patients with COVID-19-related acute respiratory failure requiring high-flow nasal oxygen. The main exposure position was the awake-prone position (≥ 6 hours/day) compared to the non-prone position. The primary outcome was endotracheal intubation, and the secondary outcome was in-hospital mortality. The inverse probability weighting–propensity score was used to adjust the conditional probability of treatment assignment. We then adjusted for contextual variables that varied over time and compared the effectiveness between the first and second waves. Results: A total of 728 patients were included: 360 during the first wave and 368 during the second wave, of whom 195 (54%) and 227 (62%) remained awake-prone for a median (p25 - 75) of 12 (10 - 16) and 14 (8 - 17) hours/day, respectively (Awake-Prone Position Group). The ORs (95%CIs) for endotracheal intubation in the Awake-Prone Position Group were 0.25 (0.13 - 0.46) and 0.19 (0.09 - 0.31) for the first and second waves, respectively (p = 0.41 for comparison between waves). The ORs for in-hospital mortality in the awake-prone position were 0.35 (0.17 - 0.65) and 0.22 (0.12 - 0.43), respectively (p = 0.44 for comparison between waves). Conclusion: The awake-prone position was associated with a reduction in the risk of endotracheal intubation and in-hospital mortality. These effects were independent of the context in which the intervention was applied, and no differences were observed between the different waves. Abstract Retirement is a central phenomenon in our society, and it is essential to know its current meanings. This article mapped and analyzed the studies about the meanings of retirement through a scoping review based on the PRISMA guidelines. Considering the eligibility criteria and search strategies, 3,904 results were analyzed, with 39 empirical scientific articles being selected. Analyses of publication data and their results demonstrated a wide variety of investigated concepts and some methodological trends, generally with a qualitative approach. Although most studies address the construct in two dimensions (positive and negative), more complex approaches are discussed. Este trabajo planteó y analizó los estudios relacionados con el tema, a través de una revisión de alcance basada en los lineamientos PRISMA. Con base en los criterios de elegibilidad y estrategias de búsqueda, se analizaron 3.904 resultados, seleccionándose 39 artículos científicos empíricos. ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To assess maternal mortality (MM) in Brazilian Black, Pardo, and White women. METHODS We evaluated the maternal mortality rate (MMR) using data from the Brazilian Ministry of Health public databases from 2017 to 2022. We compared MMR among Black, Pardo, and White women according to the region of the country, age, and cause. For statistical analysis, the Q2 test prevalence ratio (PR) and confidence interval (CI) were calculated. RESULTS From 2017 to 2022, the general MMR was 68.0/100,000 live births (LB). The MMR was almost twice as high among Black women compared to White (125.81 vs 64.15, PR = 1.96, 95%CI:1.84–2.08) and Pardo women (125.8 vs 64.0, PR = 1.96, 95%CI: 1.85–2.09). MMR was higher among Black women in all geographical regions, and the Southeast region reached the highest difference among Black and White women (115.5 versus 60.8, PR = 2.48, 95%CI: 2.03–3.03). During the covid-19 pandemic, MMR increased in all groups of women (Black 144.1, Pardo 74.8 and White 80.5/100.000 LB), and the differences between Black and White (PR = 1.79, 95%CI: 1.64–1.95) and Black and Pardo (PR = 1.92, 95%CI: 1.77–2.09) remained. MMR was significantly higher among Black women than among White or Pardo women in all age ranges and for all causes. CONCLUSION Black women presented higher MMR in all years, in all geographic regions, age groups, and causes. In Brazil, Black skin color is a key MM determinant. Resumen La hipofisitis es una afección con baja incidencia y prevalencia. Asimismo, las infecciones profundas por hongos en pacientes inmunocompetentes también re presentan un fenómeno infrecuente. Más raro aún es el caso que se describe a continuación, en donde se conjugan estos dos elementos mencionados, a saber: cryptococcoma hipofisario o hipofisitis granulomatosa causado por dicho patógeno en un huésped sin altera ción de la respuesta inmune. Luego de una búsqueda realizada en PubMed, existen limitados casos en la literatura médica de hipofisitis granulomatosa por Cryptococcus spp., que simuló por manifestaciones clínicas e imagenológicas un macro adenoma hipofisario. No encontramos informes en los que no haya evidencia de afectación del tejido meníngeo. La etiología micótica está escasamente descrita en las guías de referencia para hipofisitis y creemos que Cryp tococcus spp. debe ser tenido en cuenta en el diagnóstico diferencial de las hipofisitis granulomatosas secundarias dado que es un patógeno ubicuo y el tratamiento es sustancialmente diferente a otras entidades. Cobra mayor relevancia ante la tendencia actual al uso de glucocorticoides sistémicos a altas dosis para el tratamiento de la hipofisitis, que podría haber gene rado mayor daño de no haberse hecho el diagnóstico correcto.

Abstract Hypophysitis is a pathology with low incidence and prevalence. Likewise, deep fungal infections in immuno competent patients also represent a rare phenomenon. Even rarer is the case described below, where these two mentioned elements are combined, namely: pituitary cryptococcoma or granulomatous hypophysitis caused by said pathogen in a host without altered immune response. After research in PubMed, there are limited cases in the medical literature of granulomatous hypophysitis caused by Cryptococcus spp., which simulated a pituitary macroadenoma by clinical and imaging manifestations. We did not find reports in which there is no evidence of involvement of the meningeal tissue. The fungal etiology is scarcely described in the reference guidelines for hypophysitis and we believe that Cryptococcus spp. it should be taken into account in the differential diagnosis of secondary granuloma tous hypophysitis since it is a ubiquitous pathogen and the treatment is substantially different from other entities. It becomes more relevant given the current trend towards the use of high-dose systemic glucocorticoids for the treatment of hypophysitis, which could have generated greater damage if the correct diagnosis had not been made.

Abstract Introduction: type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) has a great importance for global public health, because it is one of the most frequent non-communicable diseases, due to the severity and diversity of its chronic complications. Objective: the objective of this study was to determine the risk of developing T2DM in nursing staff of the T. J. Schestakow Hospital, San Rafael. Material and methods: a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, a non-probabilistic sample was taken, which included 109 nurses. Nutritional status was assessed through body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC). Personal data and data obtained from the FINDRISC test were acquired through a questionnaire administered to nurses. Results: the risk of developing T2DM according to the Findrisc categories was low in 35.6% (n=41), slightly increased in 39.4% (n=43), moderate in 10.1% (n=11), high and very high risk in 12.9% (n=14). This is strongly influenced by first-degree family history, physical activity, antihypertensive medication, elevated blood glucose, BMI, waist circumference, and age. The consumption of fruits and vegetables was not a determinant of diabetes risk in the studied sample (p>0.05). Regarding WC and BMI, both were moderately to high correlated with the Findrisc score so these indicators were better predictors of the risk of developing diabetes. Conclusion: the risk of suffering from T2DM is latent and constant, so the use of quick and easy tools for its detection, such as the FINDRISC questionnaire, can help in the prevention and awareness of self-care.

Resumen Introducción: la diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2) tiene gran importancia para la salud pública mundial, porque es una de las enfermedades no transmisibles más frecuentes, por la severidad y diversidad de sus complicaciones crónicas. Objetivo: el objetivo fue determinar el riesgo de desarrollar DM2 en personal de enfermería del Hospital T. J. Schestakow, San Rafael. Materiales y método: se realizó un estudio descriptivo de tipo transversal, se tomó una muestra no probabilística, que incluyó 109 enfermeros. Se evaluó el estado nutricional a través del índice de masa corporal (IMC) y la circunferencia de cintura (CC). Los datos personales y los obtenidos del cuestionario FINDRISC fueron adquiridos a través de un cuestionario realizado a los enfermeros. Resultados: el riesgo de desarrollar DM2 según las categorías de FINDRISC fue bajo en un 35,6% (n=41), ligeramente aumentado en un 39,4% (n=43), moderado en un 10,1% (n=11), alto y muy alto riesgo en un 12,9% (n=14). Esto está fuertemente influenciado por los antecedentes familiares de primer grado, la actividad física, la medicación antihipertensiva recibida, la glucemia elevada, el IMC, la circunferencia de cintura y la edad. El consumo de frutas y verduras no fue un factor determinante del riesgo de diabetes en la muestra estudiada (p>0,05). En cuanto a la CC y el IMC, ambos se correlacionaron de manera moderada-alta con el puntaje de FINDRISC, por lo cual estos indicadores fueron mejores predictores del riesgo para desarrollar diabetes. Conclusión: el riesgo de padecer DM2 es latente y constante, por lo que el uso de instrumentos fáciles y rápidos para su detección, como lo es el cuestionario FINDRISC, pueden ayudar en la prevención y toma de conciencia del autocuidado.

Resumen El juego de ficción, aquel que comporta la creación de una situación imaginaria, ha sido un objeto de estudio privilegiado en la psicología del desarrollo y se ha señalado su rol en el desarrollo de funciones psicológicas complejas. Recientemente, gracias a la utilización de herramientas de análisis de las artes temporales, se ha documentado una nueva forma de juego, el juego con las formas de la vitalidad, cuyo foco es la repetición y variación de motivos sonoro-kinéticos de modo interactivo, en detrimento de cualquier contenido figurativo. Se ha observado que durante el tercer año de vida este tipo de juego se presenta de modo combinado con el juego de ficción y que en esos casos podría ser parte del andamiaje del desarrollo del juego de ficción. El objetivo del presente estudio fue realizar un microanálisis de los sonidos y movimientos de una escena de juego de ficción combinado con juego con las formas de la vitalidad de una niña de 1 año y 11 meses de edad, con el fin de conocer cómo se produce dicho andamiaje. Entre los resultados se destacan la presencia de sincronía interactiva basada en un pulso subyacente, la construcción de una mutualidad entre adulto e infante a partir de la calidad de los motivos compartidos, la ampliación del espacio de juego y el sostenimiento de la atención conjunta y la fluidez interactiva.

Abstract The pretend play, one that involves the creation of an imaginary situation, has been a privileged object of study in developmental psychology framed in the linguistic turn. Its important role in the development of complex psychological functions, such as language, theory of mind or narrative capacity, has been pointed out. In recent years, there has been a change in focus in the human sciences that has been dubbed the corporal turn: a re-focus on the analysis and conceptualization of bodily aspects that are at the base of various cognitive capacities. Thanks to the use of analysis tools typical of the temporal arts –such as music and dance– to the field of cognitive psychology, a new form of play has been documented in early childhood: the forms of vitality play. It recovers the idea of forms of vitality from Stern (2010), which refers to affects that cannot be reflected in the lexicon of Darwinian emotions. The forms of vitality are a Gestalt, an emergent property where movement, time, force, space and directionality/intentionality are integrated; they are a fundamental property of multimodal exchanges in the adult-baby dyad as well as of the experience, as spectator or performer, of non-figurative temporal arts such as dance and music. The forms of vitality play arise as a reconceptualization of the notion of musical play and is considered a reissue of early social play with a symmetrical participation of the child in the composition of play. It is defined as any pleasant or self-remunerative activity, in which motifs of movements and/or sounds are elaborated according to the repetition-variation form, at the expense of any figurative content. The forms of vitality play have been observed in the third year of the child’s life and it has been pointed out that it can manifest in a simple way or in combination with the pretend play. Likewise, it was suggested that when the pretend play is presented in combination with the forms of vitality play, the latter could be scaffolding the pretend play, although how this happens has not been clearly specified. The objective of the present study is to carry out a microanalysis of the sounds and movements of a pretend play scene combined with forms of vitality play of a girl of 1 year and 11 months of age and an adult, in order to know how such scaffolding is produced. The sound envelope was analyzed in order to identify and describe the timing of the sounds. Regarding movement, specialized software was used to graph its trajectory and for the analysis of the expression of movements, the basic categories “Shape and Effort” of the Laban-Bartenieff system of movement analysis were used (Laban, 1971). The results indicate the presence of interactive synchrony based on an underlying pulse that sustains mutuality between the players and provides a temporal structure on which the synchrony of the self can be anchored. Furthermore, it allows the sharing of continuity and contrast in the quality of sounds and movements and thus provides the dyad with a primary level of understanding with non-mediated meanings; promotes the exploration of the play space and the expansion of the potential of the fictional scene; it favors the maintenance of joint attention and mutual understanding through ontogenetically pre-fiction semiotic mechanisms, which favor the interactive fluidity of play.
