RESUMO A piramutaba, Brachyplatystoma vaillantii é um bagre de água doce que representa o recurso pesqueiro mais abundante no estuário amazônico. O arrasto da piramutaba é feito em escala industrial, caracterizado pela presença de muitas espécies de água doce e marinha capturadas de forma incidental, com e sem valor comercial. Aqui descrevemos a captura incidental da pesca industrial de piramutaba no estuário amazônico e avaliamos a relação de dois fatores ambientais, profundidade e salinidade, com a captura incidental de espécies de água doce e marinhas nas estações chuvosa e seca. Identificamos 21 espécies de peixes cartilaginosos (19,1% de água doce e 80,9% marinhos) e 125 espécies de peixes ósseos (25,6% de água doce e 74,4% marinhos). Inversamente, a abundância de peixes de água doce diminuiu significativamente, e a de peixes estuarinos e marinhos aumentou significativamente em salinidades maiores. ABSTRACT The piramutaba, Brachyplatystoma vaillantii is a freshwater catfish that is the most abundant fishery resource in the Amazon estuary. Piramutaba trawling is done on industrial fishing scale and is characterized by the presence of many freshwater and marine bycatch species, with and without commercial value. Here we describe the bycatch of the industrial fishery of piramutaba in the Amazon estuary and evaluate the relationship of two important environmental factors, depth and salinity, with the accidental capture of freshwater and marine fishes in the Amazon estuary in the rainy and dry seasons. We identified 21 cartilaginous fish species (19.1% freshwater and 80.9% marine) and 125 bony fish species (25.6% freshwater and 74.4% marine). Abstract The control of weeds in agriculture is mainly conducted with the use of synthetic herbicides. However, environmental and human health concerns and increased resistance of weeds to existing herbicides have increased the pressure on researchers to find new active ingredients for weed control which present low toxicity to non-target organisms, are environmentally safe, and can be applied at low concentrations. It is herein described the synthesis of glycerol-fluorinated triazole derivatives and evaluation of their phytotoxic and cytogenotoxic activities. Starting from glycerol, ten fluorinated triazole derivatives were prepared in four steps. The assessment of them on Lactuca sativa revealed that they present effects on phytotoxic and cytogenotoxic parameters with different degrees of efficiency. The compounds 4a, 4b, 4d, 4e, 4i, and 4j have pre-emergent inhibition behavior, while all the investigated compounds showed post emergent effect. Mechanism of action as clastogenic, aneugenic, and epigenetic were observed in the lettuce root meristematic cells, with alterations as stick chromosome, bridge, delay, c-metaphase, and loss. The control of fungal species in agriculture is mainly conducted with the use of contact or systemic fungicides. However, environmental and human health concerns and increased resistance of fungal species to existing fungicides have increased the pressure on researchers to find new active ingredients for fungal control which present low toxicity to non-target organisms, are environmentally safe, and can be applied at very low concentrations. It is herein described the synthesis of eleven glycerol triazole containing compounds (ten of them fluorinated derivatives) and evaluation of their fungicidal activity. Eight out of eleven synthesized compounds are novel and all of the glycerol derivatives were characterized using infrared (IR), nuclear magnetic ressonance (NMR), and mass spectrometry (MS) techniques. Theoretical calculations were also carried out and the results are discussed. Starting from glycerol, the triazole derivatives were prepared in four steps. Evaluation of them against Colletrotricum gloesporioides showed that compound 1-((2,2-dimethyl-1,3 dioxolan-4-yl)methyl)-4-(2-fluorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazole (4d) (ED50 = 59.14 µg mL-1) was slightly more active than commercial fungicide tebuconazole (61.35 µg mL-1). Compound 4d presented attractive physicochemical features for agrochemical purposes as revealed by the calculated physicochemical parameters. It is believed that glycerol-fluorinated triazole derivatives can be explored towards the development of new chemicals for the control of fungal species.

Resumo: Introdução: O processo de ensino-aprendizagem passou por grandes mudanças tecnológicas ao longo das décadas, com importante impacto nos cursos de Medicina. Uma dessas mudanças foi o uso dos ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem (AVA). Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a qualidade do processo de ensino-aprendizagem remoto no curso de Medicina durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Método: É um estudo de caráter descritivo com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Seu desenvolvimento foi dividido em quatro fases: revisão da literatura, desenvolvimento do protocolo de avaliação, coleta e análise dos dados. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um formulário on-line, e a análise dos dados, por análise estatística em três eixos: a avaliação do perfil tecnológico, a avaliação da aceitação da tecnologia e a experiência do usuário. Resultado: Foi constatado que a maioria dos estudantes (65%) e docentes (88.2%) possuía infraestrutura para participar do semestre suplementar. A maior parte dos alunos relatou sentir segurança em utilizar as ferramentas tecnológicas e estava satisfeita com o ensino remoto, porém 53% dos alunos relataram não ter um rendimento tão grande quanto teriam em um período presencial comum, além de terem mencionado dificuldades na adaptação ao ensino remoto, e 40,2% citaram uma alta taxa de problemas psicológicos entre eles. Os docentes em sua maioria se sentiam seguros em lecionar on-line e também tiveram uma avaliação em geral bastante positiva do semestre remoto, tendo apenas algumas discordâncias em relação ao tempo para preparação das aulas e da criação de materiais didáticos para seus alunos. Conclusão: Os diversos fatores relacionados à tecnologia, organização e saúde mental dos estudantes e docentes devem ser levados em consideração no planejamento dos próximos semestres, pois, até que a situação de saúde volte ao normal, os próximos semestres letivos terão todos os componentes teóricos do curso de Medicina trabalhados remotamente, ao menos com a maioria na modalidade híbrida. É provável que alunos e professores desenvolvam uma curva de aprendizagem e consequente adaptação, o que pode atenuar algumas das dificuldades observadas. É preciso que o processo de adaptação seja catalisado por normas, orientações e também inovações da universidade.

Abstract: Introduction: Introduction: The teaching-learning process has undergone major technological changes over the decades, with a significant impact on medical courses. One of these changes has been the use of virtual learning environments (VLEs). Objective: to evaluate the quality of the remote teaching-learning process in the medical course during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Its development was divided into 4 phases: literature review, development of the assessment protocol, data collection and analysis. Data collection was through an online form and data analysis was by statistical analysis on three axes: assessment of the technological profile, assessment of the acceptance of the technology and the user experience. Result: It was found that most students (65%) and teachers (88.2%) had the infrastructure to participate in the supplementary semester. Most students reported feeling safe in using technological tools and were satisfied with the remote teaching, however, 53% of students reported underachievement in relation to their performance in an ordinary classroom period and reported difficulties in adapting to remote learning, and 40.2% reported a high rate of psychological problems. Most teachers felt secure in teaching online and had a very positive overall evaluation of the remote semester, with only a few disagreements regarding the time to prepare classes and create teaching materials for their students. Conclusion: The various factors related to technology, organization and mental health of students and teachers must be taken into account in the planning of the next semesters, because until the health situation returns to normal, the forthcoming academic semesters will provide all the theoretical components of the medical course remotely, or at least the majority provided in a hybrid modality. It is likely that students and teachers will develop a learning curve and consequent adaptation, which may alleviate some of the difficulties observed. The adaptation process needs to be catalyzed by standards, guidelines and innovations from the university.

Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate the production, fat and fatty acids of milk as well as the diameter, classification and quantity of the milk fat globules (MFG) of goats consuming a diet with 15% of crude glycerin. Twelve multiparous Saanen goats weighing 40 ± 6 kg and 90 ± 5 days of lactation were used. The experimental design was completely randomized with two treatments (0 and 15% inclusion of glycerin). In this way, each milk sample is classified according to the percentage of milk fat globules that were included in these three size categories. For the variables milk production, fat, diameter, medium and large fat globules and amount of globules showed a significant effect of the inclusion of glycerin in the diet (p < 0.05). Fifteen fatty acids were found, mostly saturated. For caprylic, palmitic, and linoleic fatty acids, there was no significant influence of the inclusion of glycerin (p > 0.05). Can recommend the use of 15% double-distilled glycerin in the feeding of lactating goats increased milk production, the amount of fat, increased the size of the milk fat globule. Regarding the saturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, they kept the level of 15% of glycerin.

ABSTRACT Infrared thermography has become increasingly common in sports assessment and has grown a lot over the past few years. Our objective was to identify the assessment protocols and the skin temperature behavior of practitioners of endurance sports. A systematic review was carried out following the PRISMA recommendations between the 1st and the 31st of March 2020, at MEDLINE, LILACS, SCOPUS, SPORT Discus, CINAHL, Web of Science, Science Direct, Cochrane, and Scielo, using combinations with 11 descriptors for “thermography” and 6 descriptors for “endurance training”. It was identified 24 different regions of interest evaluated region in endurance sports. The acclimatization time was respected in 75% of the selected studies, and the thermal images were acquired predominantly in three moments: before the test, immediately after the test, and 10 minutes after the test. It was observed that Tskin decreased in the initial moments and increased after exercise. It can be concluded that the regions of interest used were mostly the specific muscle recruited in each modality, with emphasis on the muscle groups of the lower limbs, and after this initial decrease in temperature, the thermal response is mainly dependent on the duration and intensity of exercise.

ABSTRACT Triathlon is one of the most flourishing sports in the world. This study aimed to analyze the acute effects of physiological markers and subjective perception variables in amateur trained athletes. Participated in the present study 8 male endurance triathletes with race experience. The injury markers and oxidative stress parameters were investigated in the blood plasma and measured at baseline and post-race. Heat, comfort, and humidity perception, and Borg ratings of perceived exertion were measured during the baseline, transition area, and post-race. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used with significance set as p<0.05. The variables of injury and muscle fatigue presented a significant increase comparing the baseline and post-race data, CK (p= 0.005; d= 5.7), LDH (p= 0.004; d= 1.3) and lactate (p< 0.001; d= 7.2). It was observed a significant increase in CP (p= 0.021; d= 2.2) and a significant decrease in DPPH (p= 0.002; d= −1.4) in post-race, no significant changes in LP (p= 0.217; d= 0.6) and TT (p= 0.881; d= −0.1) oxidative stress markers was verified. A significant increase (Δ% = 30.95, p = 0.001; d = 6.8) was observed in urine temperature and color (range [1-7], p = 0.039). Even with the significant increase in fatigue, with a significant increase in the injury markers, oxidative stress markers suggested a good antioxidant defense. It was observed an increase in exertion and heat perception, as well as a reduction in heat comfort and skin wetness.

Resumo Neste artigo, procura-se analisar os fatores envolvidos na determinação da natureza substancial do organismo vivo, em Aristóteles. Tais fatores seriam, por um lado, a forte unidade e coesão interna composicional e, por outro, o elevado caráter de independência quanto às propriedades essenciais ou formais, relativamente às propriedades dos componentes materiais, por meio dos quais o organismo vivo vem a ser formado, ou com referência aos outros tipos de particularidades de seres. Com esta análise, pretende-se mostrar, ao mesmo tempo, que a unidade do composto orgânico-animado, de um modo geral, é constituída por um complexo arranjo de camadas estratificadas (elementos, partes homogêneas, partes não homogêneas), no qual as camadas ou os tipos de composições materiais apresentam, entre si, um forte grau de interdependência. Tal interdependência entre as partes materiais, que formam uma rede composicional complexa e bem-articulada, faz com que as propriedades essenciais ou formais do todo orgânico se diferenciem sobremaneira das propriedades essenciais dos tipos de componentes que integram esse todo, caracterizando, assim, o caráter substancial da composição orgânica.

Abstract In this paper, I will try to analyze the factors involved in determining the substantial nature of the living organism in Aristotle. Such factors would be, on the one hand, the strong unity and compositional internal cohesion and, on the other hand, the high character of independence as regards the essential or formal properties, relative to the proper properties of the material components through which the living organism comes to be formed, or relative to other types of particularities of beings. With this analysis, it is intended at the same time to show that, in a general way, the unity of the organic-animate compound is constituted by a complex arrangement of stratified layers (elements, homogeneous parts, nonhomogeneous parts), in which the layers or types of material compositions have a strong degree of interdependence among themselves. Such interdependence between the material parts, which form a complex and well-articulated compositional network, makes the essential or formal properties of the organic whole very different from the essential properties of the types of components that make up the whole, thus characterizing the substantial character of organic composition.

Abstract Due to the peculiarities of the reproductive cycle of the female dog, which makes it difficult to accurately ascertain the date of conception, it may be challenging to precisely estimate the gestational age in bitches. Using fetal measurements obtained by ultrasound, it is possible to estimate the gestational age in dogs; however, due to the differences in size of the various breeds, such estimates may have a significant standard deviation, which represents less accuracy when specifying the date of birth. The purpose of this study was to evaluate pregnant female Chihuahuas, establishing relations between the fetal dimensions measured by ultrasound and the remaining time until delivery. Using 13 pregnant female Chihuahuas, weekly ultrasound assessments and measurements were performed, of the inner chorionic cavity, cranial-caudal length, biparietal diameter, abdominal diameter and thoracic diameter. Such parameters were retroactively correlated to the date of delivery, and linear regressions were established between the gestational measurements and remaining days until delivery. The fetal measurement presenting the highest correlation (r = 0.99; P<0.0001) and reliability (R2 = 0.98, P<0.0001) with the probable date of delivery was the biparietal diameter, a measurement that can be easily and safely obtained and, when applying a specific formula (Y = -15.46X1 + 38.72), can accurately predict the date of delivery in Chihuahua female dogs.

Resumo Este artigo analisa, em uma perspectiva biopolítica, alguns aspectos da temática ambiental na Vigilância em Saúde, mais especificamente na área de Vigilância Ambiental. Tal análise nos remete a noções de biopolítica e governamentalidade elaboradas por Michel Foucault que servem de chaves conceituais para a discussão. Para produzir a análise bibliográfica, utilizamos os principais documentos técnicos e legislações da área de Vigilância Ambiental, Vigilância Ambiental em Saúde e Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental, três denominações utilizadas para o objeto de estudo durante o seu desenvolvimento. Ao separar os documentos, efetuamos a comparação e crítica dos mesmos, atentos aos aspectos biopolíticos explícitos ou implícitos. A pesquisa é parte de uma tese de doutorado que construiu uma genealogia da área da Vigilância Ambiental. No trajeto histórico da formação da Vigilância Ambiental, aspectos biopolíticos foram se delineando na construção das ações de saúde da área. Primeiro, descrevemos brevemente a formação da área; posteriormente, realizamos uma leitura de alguns aspectos da biopolítica que parece estar implícita nas práticas de saúde que vêm caracterizando a Vigilância Ambiental, destacando uma visão das suas implicações na prática do serviço.

Abstract This article analyzes, from a biopolitical perspective, some aspects of environmental theme in Health Surveillance, more specifically in the area of Environmental Surveillance. This analysis brings us notions of biopolitics and governmentality elaborated by Michel Foucault that serve as conceptual keys for the discussion. To produce the bibliographic analysis, we used the main technical documents and legislation of the Environmental Surveillance, Environmental Health Surveillance and Environmental Health Surveillance, three denominations used for the object of study during its development. In separating the documents, we compare and critique them, paying attention to explicit or implicit biopolitical aspects. The research is part of a doctoral thesis that built a genealogy of Environmental Surveillance. In the historical course of the formation of Environmental Surveillance, biopolitical aspects were outlined in the construction of health actions in the area. First, we briefly describe the formation of the area; then we read some aspects of biopolitics that seem to be implicit in the health practices that have characterized Environmental Surveillance, highlighting a view of its implications for service practice.

Resumo Este artigo analisa, em uma perspectiva biopolítica, alguns aspectos da temática ambiental na Vigilância em Saúde, mais especificamente na área de Vigilância Ambiental. Tal análise nos remete a noções de biopolítica e governamentalidade elaboradas por Michel Foucault que servem de chaves conceituais para a discussão. Para produzir a análise bibliográfica, utilizamos os principais documentos técnicos e legislações da área de Vigilância Ambiental, Vigilância Ambiental em Saúde e Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental, três denominações utilizadas para o objeto de estudo durante o seu desenvolvimento. Ao separar os documentos, efetuamos a comparação e crítica dos mesmos, atentos aos aspectos biopolíticos explícitos ou implícitos. A pesquisa é parte de uma tese de doutorado que construiu uma genealogia da área da Vigilância Ambiental. No trajeto histórico da formação da Vigilância Ambiental, aspectos biopolíticos foram se delineando na construção das ações de saúde da área. Primeiro, descrevemos brevemente a formação da área; posteriormente, realizamos uma leitura de alguns aspectos da biopolítica que parece estar implícita nas práticas de saúde que vêm caracterizando a Vigilância Ambiental, destacando uma visão das suas implicações na prática do serviço.

Abstract This article analyzes, from a biopolitical perspective, some aspects of environmental theme in Health Surveillance, more specifically in the area of Environmental Surveillance. This analysis brings us notions of biopolitics and governmentality elaborated by Michel Foucault that serve as conceptual keys for the discussion. To produce the bibliographic analysis, we used the main technical documents and legislation of the Environmental Surveillance, Environmental Health Surveillance and Environmental Health Surveillance, three denominations used for the object of study during its development. In separating the documents, we compare and critique them, paying attention to explicit or implicit biopolitical aspects. RESUMO A costa Norte do Brasil é um dos pesqueiros de camarão mais importantes do mundo, com uma área total de aproximadamente 223.000 km2. No entanto, dados disponíveis sobre a diversidade de peixes capturados pela frota industrial de arrasto de portas na região são limitados às espécies com valor comercial. Essa lacuna no conhecimento sobre a fauna de peixes marinhos da região é preocupante, tanto para o manejo dos estoques quanto para a conservação da biodiversidade local. O presente estudo é baseado num inventário abrangente dos peixes teleósteos capturados por operações de arrasto de portas da frota industrial que opera na costa Norte do Brasil. Este inventário registrou 201 espécies pertencentes a 64 famílias e 20 ordens, e revelou uma fauna única, caracterizada por 17 espécies endêmicas, e uma mistura de espécies estuarino-dependentes e espécies marinhas, principalmente associadas a recifes de corais. A análise da densidade Kernel indicou que a frota industrial de arrasto de portas opera dentro de um importante ecótono, que abrange uma zona de transição de diferentes comunidades de peixes encontrados na costa Norte do Brasil.

ABSTRACT The Brazilian North coast is one of the world’s most important shrimp fishery grounds, with a total area of approximately 223,000 km2. However, the available data on the diversity of fish caught by the region’s industrial trawler fleet are limited to the commercially-valuable species. This lacuna in the data on the region’s marine fish fauna is worrying, both for the management of stocks and the conservation of the local biodiversity. The present study was based on a comprehensive inventory of the teleost fishes captured by the industrial outrigger trawling operations off the North coast of Brazil. This inventory recorded 201 species belonging to 64 families and 20 orders, and revealed a unique fauna, characterized by 17 endemic species, and a mixture of estuarine-dependent and marine species, mainly associated with coral reefs. The Kernel density analysis indicated that the industrial trawling fleet operates within an important ecotone, which encompasses the transition zones of different fish communities found off the Brazilian North coast.
