Resumen Introducción. Actualmente hay pocos estudios en Latinoamérica sobre las características demográficas, clínicas y de laboratorio de pacientes con COVID-19 y con requerimiento de ingreso a la unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI). Objetivo. Comparar las características sociodemográficas, clínicas, imagenológicas y de laboratorio de pacientes diagnosticados con COVID-19 atendidos en el servicio de urgencias de una clínica en Cali, Colombia, según requerimiento de ingreso a UCI. Materiales y métodos. Estudio retrospectivo descriptivo de cohorte única realizado en 49 adultos con COVID-19 atendidos en el servicio de urgencias de un hospital de cuarto nivel de atención de Cali entre marzo y abril de 2020, los cuales se dividieron en dos grupos: requerimiento de ingreso a UCI (n=24) y no requerimiento de ingreso a UCI (n=25). Se realizaron análisis bivariados para determinar las diferencias entre ambos grupos (pruebas de chi-cuadrado, exacta de Fisher, t de Student y U de Mann-Whitney), con un nivel de significancia de p<0.05. Resultados. La edad promedio fue 53 años (DE=13) y 29 pacientes fueron hombres. Se encontraron diferencias significativas entre ambos grupos en las siguientes variables: edad promedio (UCI x̅ =58 vs. No UCI x̅=49; p=0.020); presencia de diabetes (8 vs. 1; p=0.010); presencia de dificultad respiratoria (20 vs. 11; p=0.007); presencia uni o bilateral de áreas de consolidación (12 vs. 3; p=0.005), y mediana del conteo de leucocitos (Med=7 570/mm3 vs. Med=5 130/mm3; p=0.0013), neutrófilos (Med=5 980/mm3 vs. Med=3 450/mm3; p=0.0001), linfocitos (Med=865/mm3 vs. Med=1 400/mm3; p<0.0001), proteína C reactiva (Med=141.25 mg/L vs. Med=27.95 mg/L; p<0.001), ferritina (Med=1038 ng/L vs. Med=542.5 ng/L; p=0.0073) y lactato-deshidroge-nasa (Med=391 U/L vs. Med=248.5 U/L; p=0.0014). Finalmente, 15 pacientes requirieron ventilación mecánica invasiva, 2 presentaron extubación fallida y 5 fallecieron. Conclusiones. Se observaron diferencias significativas en los valores de varios marcadores inflamatorios, daño celular y parámetros del hemograma entre los pacientes que requirieron admisión a la UCI y los que no, por lo que estas variables podrían emplearse para desarrollar herramientas que contribuyan a establecer el pronóstico de esta enfermedad.

Abstract Introduction: At present, few studies conducted in Latin America have addressed the demographic, clinical, and laboratory characteristics of patients with COVID-19 and intensive care unit (ICU) admission requirement. Objective: To compare the sociodemographic, clinical, imaging, and laboratory characteristics of patients diagnosed with COVID -19 and treated in the emergency department of a hospital in Cali, Colombia, based on ICU admission requirement. Materials and methods: Retrospective and descriptive single cohort study conducted in 49 adults with COVID-19 treated in the emergency department of a quaternary care hospital in Cali (Colombia) between March and April 2020. Patients were divided into two groups: ICU admission requirement (n=24) and non-ICU admission requirement (n=25). Bivariate analyses were performed to determine differences between groups (chi-square, Fisher's exact, Student's t, and Mann-Whitney U tests), with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: Participants' mean age was 53 years (SD=13) and 29 patients were men. Significant differences were found between groups in the following variables: mean age (ICU x̅ =58 vs. Non-ICU x̅ =49; p=0.020), presence of diabetes (8 vs. 1; p=0.010); presence of respiratory distress (20 vs. 11; p=0.007) ; unilateral or bilateral presence of areas of consolidation (12 vs. 3; p=0.005); median leukocyte (Med=7 570/mm3 vs. Med=5 130/mm3; p=0.0013), neutrophil (Med=5 980/mm3 vs. Med=3 450/mm3; p=0.0001) and lymphocyte (Med=865/mm3 vs. Med=1 400/mm3; p<0.0001) count; median C-reactive protein (Med=141,25mg/L vs. Med=27.95mg/L; p<0.001), ferritin (Med=1038ng/L vs. Med=542.5ng/L; p=0.0073) and lactate dehydrogenase (Med=391U/L vs. Med=248.5U/L, p=0.0014) levels. Finally, 15 patients required invasive mechanical ventilation, 2 presented with extubation failure, and 5 died. Conclusions. Significant differences were observed in the values of several inflammatory markers, cellular damage and complete blood count parameters between patients who required admission to the ICU and those who did not, so these variables could be used to develop tools that contribute to establishing the prognosis of this disease.

RESUMEN: La presente investigación buscó evidenciar las representaciones sociales que tienen docentes de aula regular respecto a la educación inclusiva de estudiantes con discapacidad intelectual leve y limítrofe (DIL). Participaron 40 docentes de un colegio distrital de la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. El enfoque fue interpretativo, con un método de tipo cualitativo; se desarrollaron tres categorías: representaciones sociales de la DIL, representaciones sociales de la educación inclusiva y el rol docente en la educación inclusiva. Se evidenció que a nivel de representaciones sociales hay mayor aceptación de las premisas e ideales de la educación inclusiva; pero hay un contraste entre las prácticas educativas cotidianas y dichas representaciones en el trabajo en aula regular con este grupo poblacional, pues los docentes piensan que los estudiantes con DIL demandan una atención continua y diferenciada. Sin embargo, los docentes están mayoritariamente dispuestos a recibir capacitación para asumir la educación inclusiva en el aula regular.

ABSTRACT: This research sought to evidence the social representations that regular classroom teachers have about inclusive education with students with mild and borderline intellectual disabilities (DIL). This research was developed in a district school in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. 40 teachers participated. The approach was interpretive, with a method of qualitative type; from the research exercise, three categories were developed: social Representations of the DIL, social representations of the Inclusive education and the teaching role in the inclusive education. It was evident that at the level of social representations, there is greater acceptance of the premises and ideals of inclusive education. However, there is a contrast between everyday educational practices, and such representations in regular classroom work with this population group; it is perceived that students with DIL demand continuous and special attention. However, teachers are mostly willing to receive training to assume inclusive education in the regular classroom.

Abstract The measurement and control of research activity in universities is increasingly more relevant and conditions its institutional image, as international proliferation of rankings proves it. The aim of this paper is to analyse the support actions that Spanish universities are offering to the scientific community to achieve research excellence, categorize them, and afterwards compare if there is a correlation between these internal services and the position of Spanish universities in the SIR ranking, which is based primarily on external results. This methodology is based on content analysis. The results obtained show some similarity, in spite of the discordant cases that allow us to conclude that the research activity responds to individual initiatives and finds synergies from collaborative work between different institutions. Also, public universities show higher levels of support to research, than private ones.

Resumen La medición y control de la actividad universitaria es cada vez más relevante y condiciona la imagen institucional. La proliferación de rankings internacionales así lo evidencia. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las acciones de apoyo que las universidades en España ofrecen a la comunidad científica para alcanzar la excelencia investigadora, categorizarlas y comparar, después, si existe una correlación entre estos servicios internos y la posición de las universidades españolas en el ranking SIR, con base en resultados externos. La metodología se fundamenta en el análisis de contenido. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian cierta similitud, aunque hay casos discordantes que permiten inferir que la actividad investigadora responde a iniciativas individuales y encuentra sinergias a partir del trabajo colaborativo entre diferentes instituciones. Además, se perciben niveles más elevados de fomento de la investigación en el caso de las universidades públicas.

Based on Theunissen's proposition, we carried out an archeological investigation into the concept of melancholia in the ancient world and acedia in medieval times. In doing so we compare the concept to fatigue, boredom and sadness found in today's the culture. Charbonneau and Legrand (2003) called these problems paradepressions of problems, often infra-symptomatic and too transient and insignificant to be described as symptoms.

Partiendo de la propuesta de Theunissen, se busca realizar un regreso arqueológico respecto al concepto de melancolía en la antigüedad y de acedia medieval. Con ello, se intenta reflexionar esa trama de fatiga, aburrimiento, tedio, tristeza que se entreteje en la cultura actual. Charbonneau y Legrand (2003) designan como paradepresiones a este conjunto de problemas a menudo infrasintomáticos, demasiado lábiles y poco significativos para ser denominados síntomas.

Ausgehend von Theunissens Ansatz, wird hier der Versuch einer archäologischen Regression zum Begriff der Melancholie im Altertum und der Verbitterung im Mittelalter durchgeführt. Dies dient der Reflexion über den Zusammenhang von Müdigkeit, Verdruss, Gereiztheit und Traurigkeit, die die heutige Kultur durchziehen. Charbonneau und Legrand (2003) bezeichnen diese Problematik als "Paradepressionen", oft als infrasymptomatisch, weil sie zu labil und unbedeutsam sind, um als Symptome bezeichnet zu werden.

En prenant comme point de départ le propos avancé par Theunissen, cet article a pour but de faire un retour archéologique sur le concept de mélancolie dans L'Antiquité et d'acédie au Moyen âge. Il propose donc une réflexion sur la fatigue, l'ennui, la tristesse qui imprègne la culture contemporaine. Charbonneau et Legrand (2003) désignent comme paradépressions un ensemble de problèmes souvent infra-symptomatiques, trop passagers et trop peu significatifs pour être considérés comme symptômes.

In the public sector, citizen participation in public decisions tends to be considered in order to improve the quality of public policies, which in turn implies legitimize the State actions. However, "the devil is in the details" and the only indication of this in the regulatory framework is not enough to guarantee an improvement, perhaps the most important challenge lies in its implementation, so that the objective of this research was to determine the scope of citizen participation in the Municipal Council for Sustainable Rural Development, Texcoco, State of Mexico in the period 2009-2012, identifying the legitimacy of social representatives, the process of communication between social and governmental actors, and the effectiveness of the public action. This research was conducted with a mixed approach, quantitative data were obtained from a survey of 42 stakeholders, and qualitative data were generated with a semi-structured interview, direct observation and document analysis. The results show that, public participation is not effective at all, because of the limits and control exercised by the institutions, making the Council a public space that fulfills the operative and active status, but lack the democratic spirit participatory by not seeking representation of rural society and the productive sectors, and limit the communication process, guiding their purposes, so that the public Council action is not effective to meet the real needs of the rural sector in the municipality.

En el ámbito público tiende a consolidarse la participación ciudadana en las decisiones públicas con el fin de mejorar la calidad de las políticas públicas, lo que a su vez implica legitimar las acciones del Estado. Sin embargo, "el diablo está en los detalles" y la sola indicación de esta en los marcos normativos no es suficiente para garantizar una mejoría, quizá el reto más importante está en su implementación, por lo que el objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer los alcances de la participación ciudadana en el Consejo Municipal de Desarrollo Rural Sustentable de Texcoco, Estado de México en el periodo 2009-2012, identificando la legitimidad de los representantes sociales; el proceso de comunicación entre actores sociales y gubernamentales; y la efectividad de la acción pública. La investigación se realizó con un enfoque mixto, los datos cuantitativos se obtuvieron de una encuesta aplicada a 42 actores sociales; los datos cualitativos se generaron con una entrevista semi-estructurada, observación directa y análisis documental. Los hallazgos muestran que la participación ciudadana no es efectiva ante los límites y controles que ejercen las instituciones sobre esta, haciendo del Consejo un espacio público que cumple en lo operativo al estar constituido y activo pero que falta al espíritu democrático participativo al no procurar la representatividad de la sociedad rural y los sectores productivos, y al acotar el proceso de comunicación, orientándolo a sus fines, por lo que la acción pública del Consejo no es efectiva para atender las necesidades reales del sector rural del municipio.
