ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the characteristics of multisystemic inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19 (MIS-C) in the first three years of the pandemic in children in a pediatric hospital in Peru. We conducted an observational, descriptive study with data from 73 patients and described the clinical and laboratory characteristics, treatment and complications according to the wave of the pandemic and whether they had shock. The median age was 6 years, gastrointestinal and mucocutaneous manifestations were frequent in the three waves. Kawasaki disease-like phenotype was present in 34 (46.6%) patients and 21 (28.8%) patients developed shock. The most commonly used treatment was immunoglobulin (95.9%), followed by acetylsalicylic acid (94.5%) and corticosteroid (86.3%). Five (7%) patients had coronary aneurysm and 17 (23.3%) were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Patients with shock had greater laboratorial alteration and need for mechanical ventilation. In conclusion, MIS-C has decreased in the first three years of the pandemic, possibly due to COVID-19 vaccination in children.

RESUMEN El propósito del estudio fue describir las características del síndrome inflamatorio multisistémico asociado a COVID-19 (SIM-C) en los primeros tres años de pandemia en niños de un hospital pediátrico del Perú. Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo con datos de 73 pacientes y se describieron las características clínicas, laboratoriales, tratamiento y complicaciones según la ola de la pandemia y si tuvieron shock. La mediana de edad fue 6 años, las manifestaciones gastrointestinales y mucocutáneas fueron frecuentes en las tres olas. RESUMO Introdução: o salto e o agachamento são movimentos recorrentes nos processos de treinamento de um atleta, por isso é necessário compreender as variáveis que interagem no desenvolvimento dos objetivos de desempenho. Objetivo: determinar a relação entre a altura do salto e as variáveis mecânicas do agachamento. Materiais e métodos: a metodologia utilizada é do tipo correlacional quantitativa, com desenho transversal, onde 43 atletas juvenis (homens = 34, mulheres = 9) são avaliados nos testes de salto com contra-movimento (CMJ), agachamento médio. (SJ) e salto livre, juntamente com isso foram realizadas 6 repetições de agachamento em velocidade máxima, onde foi considerada a melhor repetição possível. Resultados: como principais resultados, obteve-se a relação significativa entre a velocidade propulsiva média e o CMJ (r=0,75, p: 0,00), SJ (r=0,69, p: 0,00) e livre (r=0,72, p: 0,00). Conclusões: por fim conclui-se que existe relação entre a capacidade de salto e a velocidade de execução do agachamento.

ABSTRACT Introduction: jumping and squatting are recurrent movements within the training processes of an athlete, which is why it is necessary to understand the variables that interact in the development of performance objectives. Objective: to determine the relationship between jump height and the mechanical variables of the squat. Materials and methods: the methodology used is of a quantitative correlational type, with a cross-sectional design, where 43 juvenile athletes (men = 34, women = 9) were evaluated in the counter-movement jump (CMJ), half squat jump (SJ) and free jump test, along with this, 6 repetitions of squats at maximum speed were performed, where the best possible repetition was considered. Results: the main results obtained were the significant relationship between the mean propulsive velocity and the CMJ (r =0.75, p: 0.00), SJ (r =0.69, p: 0.00) and free (r =0.72, p: 0.00). Conclusions: finally, it is concluded that there is a relationship between jumping capacity and the squat execution speed.

RESUMEN Introducción: el salto y la sentadilla son movimientos recurrentes dentro de los procesos de entrenamiento de un deportista, por lo cual, se hace necesario comprender las variables que interactúan en el desarrollo de los objetivos de rendimiento. Objetivo: determinar la relación de la altura del salto con las variables mecánicas de la sentadilla. Materiales y métodos: la metodología utilizada es de tipo cuantitativa correlacional, con un diseño transversal, donde se evalúan a 43 deportistas juveniles (hombres = 34, mujeres = 9), en las pruebas de salto en contra movimiento (CMJ), salto de media sentadilla (SJ) y salto libre, junto con esto, se ejecutaron 6 repeticiones de sentadillas a máxima velocidad, donde se consideró la mejor repetición posible. Resultados: se obtuvieron, como principales resultados, la relación significativa entre la velocidad media propulsiva y el CMJ (r=0.75, p: 0.00), SJ (r=0.69, p: 0.00) y libre (r=0.72, p: 0.00). Conclusiones: finalmente, se concluye que existe una relación entre la capacidad de salto y la velocidad de ejecución de la sentadilla.

Resumo Objetivo: O objetivo desta revisão sistemática foi determinar os efeitos do treinamento em cluster na hipertrofia muscular. Metodologia: Realizou-se uma busca na literatura nas bases de dados eletrônicas Pubmed, Scopus e Web of Science, utilizando as seguintes palavras-chave: 'cluster training', 'rest interval', 'rest pause', 'hypertrophy', 'resistance training' e 'cross sectional area'. Foram incluídos ensaios clínicos que utilizaram o treinamento em cluster como intervenção em pessoas com mais de 18 anos de ambos os sexos. Resultados: A revisão sistemática realizada durante a busca nas bases de dados consultadas resultou em um total de 23 artigos potencialmente elegíveis, dos quais uma amostra de 9 foi selecionada para obter resultados que respondessem ao objetivo desta revisão. O número de participantes nos 9 artigos elegíveis foi de 172 indivíduos. Os treinos em cluster permitem um aumento no volume e na intensidade do treinamento sem causar altos níveis de fadiga, favorecendo assim o desenvolvimento da hipertrofia muscular. Conclusões: Os resultados desta revisão sistemática sugerem que o treinamento em cluster pode ser uma ferramenta eficaz para o desenvolvimento da hipertrofia muscular.

Abstract Objective: The aim of this systematic review was to determine the effects of cluster training on muscle hypertrophy. Methodology: A literature search was performed in the electronic databases Pubmed, Scopus and Web of Science, using the following keywords: 'cluster training', 'rest interval', 'rest pause', 'hypertrophy', 'resistance training' and 'cross sectional area'. We included clinical trials that used cluster training as an intervention in people over 18 years of age of both sexes. Results: The systematic review obtained during the search of the databases consulted yielded a total of 23 potentially eligible articles, of which a sample of 9 was taken from which results could be obtained that responded to the objective of this review. The number of participants from the 9 eligible articles was 172 subjects. Cluster workouts allow for increased training volume and intensity without causing high levels of fatigue, thus favoring the development of muscle hypertrophy. Conclusions: The results of this systematic review suggest that cluster training can be an effective tool for the development of muscle hypertrophy.

Resumen Objetivo: El objetivo de la presente revisión sistemática fue determinar los efectos del entrenamiento cluster sobre la hipertrofia muscular. Metodología: Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las bases de datos electrónicas Pubmed, Scopus y Web of Science, utilizando las siguientes palabras clave: 'cluster training', 'rest Interval', 'rest pause', 'hypertrophy', 'resistance training' y 'cross sectional area'. Se incluyeron ensayos clínicos que utilizaron el entrenamiento cluster como intervención en personas mayores de 18 años de ambos sexos. Resultados: La revisión sistemática obtenida durante la búsqueda de las bases de datos consultadas arrojó un total de 23 artículos, potencialmente elegibles, de los cuales se tomó una muestra de 9, con los que se podían obtener resultados que respondían al objetivo de esta revisión. La cantidad de participantes de los 9 artículos elegibles fue de 172 sujetos. Los entrenamientos cluster permiten aumentar el volumen de entrenamiento y la intensidad sin provocar elevados niveles de fatiga, favoreciendo así el desarrollo de la hipertrofia muscular. Conclusiones: Los resultados de esta revisión sistemática sugieren que los entrenamientos cluster pueden ser una herramienta eficaz para el desarrollo de la hipertrofia muscular.

Abstract Background Alcohol, a widely abused drug, significantly diminishes life quality, causing chronic diseases and psychiatric issues, with severe health, societal, and economic repercussions. Previously, we demonstrated that non-voluntary alcohol consumption increases the opening of Cx43 hemichannels and Panx1 channels in astrocytes from adolescent rats. However, whether ethanol directly affects astroglial hemichannels and, if so, how this impacts the function and survival of astrocytes remains to be elucidated. Results Clinically relevant concentrations of ethanol boost the opening of Cx43 hemichannels and Panx1 channels in mouse cortical astrocytes, resulting in the release of ATP and glutamate. The activation of these large-pore channels is dependent on Toll-like receptor 4, P2X7 receptors, IL-1β and TNF-α signaling, p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase, and inducible nitric oxide (NO) synthase. Notably, the ethanol-induced opening of Cx43 hemichannels and Panx1 channels leads to alterations in cytokine secretion, NO production, gliotransmitter release, and astrocyte reactivity, ultimately impacting survival. Conclusion Our study reveals a new mechanism by which ethanol impairs astrocyte function, involving the sequential stimulation of inflammatory pathways that further increase the opening of Cx43 hemichannels and Panx1 channels. We hypothesize that targeting astroglial hemichannels could be a promising pharmacological approach to preserve astrocyte function and synaptic plasticity during the progression of various alcohol use disorders.

Resumen Se analiza el efecto de información sobre desigualdad eco nómica sobre la justificación de desigualdad salarial. Usando un experimento a través de encuestas en una muestra del área metropolitana de Santiago de Chile (n=732), se busca replicar los resultados de Kris-Stella Trump (2018) sobre la justificación de brechas salariales. Los resultados muestran que la información sobre salarios reales no impacta la medida de justificación de desigualdad empleada por Trump. Se evidenció que la información sobre desigualdad salarial incrementa la justificación de brechas salariales según ocupaciones de alto y bajo estatus, lo cual potencia la exposición conjunta hacia la justificación del sistema. Se discuten las limitaciones metodológicas del estudio e implicancias en el mismo de las preferencias distributivas.

Abstract We analyze the effect of information on economic inequality on the justification of wage inequality. Using a survey experiment in a sample of the metropolitan area of Santiago de Chile (n=732), we seek to replicate the results of Kris-Stella Trump (2018) on the justification of wage gaps. The results show that information on real wages does not impact Trump’s measure of inequality justification. Instead, wage inequality information was found to increase the justification of wage gaps by high- and low-status occupations, which was further intensified by joint exposure to system justification. The article ends with a discussion of the study’s methodological limitations and implications for the analysis of distributional preferences.

Abstract the methodologies for calculating market risk have been mainly applied to economies in developed countries. In this research work, it is proposed to use the CAPM to determine the market risk and minimum expected return of companies in the corporate sector of Ecuador in the period 2009-2019. An average of 48,667 companies were analyzed, based on information obtained from the Superintendence of Companies, Securities and Insurance (SCSI). The sectors were analyzed according to the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC). An accounting Beta was used in the calculations considering the incipient development of the country’s stock market; an estimation was made through ordinary least squares and an adjusted ROE was proposed. In addition, the minimum expected return of the sector was calculated through the CAPM. Among the main findings of this work, it is highlighted that sectors B, C, G, H, J, M and N had a Beta greater than 1, i.e., these sectors are more sensitive to a change in the market. It is also important to mention that sectors P, G, C, E, J and Q perform better than expected. The information provided constitutes a support for organizations or other interest groups, considering the high level of uncertainty existing in the market.

Resumen las metodologías para el cálculo del riesgo de mercado han sido aplicadas principalmente a economías de países desarrollados. En este trabajo de investigación se propone utilizar el CAPM para determinar el riesgo de mercado y rendimiento mínimo esperado de las empresas del sector corporativo de Ecuador para el periodo 2009-2019. En promedio se analizaron 48 667 empresas, con base en la información obtenida de la Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS). Los sectores que fueron analizados de acuerdo con la Clasificación Industrial Internacional Uniforme (CIIU). En los cálculos se utilizó un Beta contable, considerando el incipiente desarrollo de la bolsa de valores del país; se realizó una estimación por mínimos cuadrados ordinarios y se propuso un ROE ajustado. Además, se calculó el rendimiento mínimo esperado del sector por medio del CAPM. Entre los principales hallazgos se destaca que los sectores B, C, G, H, J, M, y N tienen un Beta mayor a 1, es decir, estos sectores son más sensibles ante una variación en el mercado. También es importante mencionar que los sectores P, G, C, E, J y Q tienen un desempeño mejor al esperado. La información proporcionada sirve como apoyo para las organizaciones u otros grupos de interés, considerando el alto nivel de incertidumbre en el mercado.

Resumen: La prevalencia de infección por virus Papiloma Humano (VPH) es desconocida en niños, niñas y adolescentes (NNA) chilenos. En 2014 se incorporó en Chile la vacuna VPH al Programa Nacional de Inmunizaciones en niñas y en varones el 2019. Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia, genotipos y características de la infección por VPH en NNA con lesiones anogenitales no vacunados contra VPH. Pacientes y Método: Se estudiaron NNA con lesiones anogenitales que consultaron en el Hospital Calvo Mackenna entre 2013 y 2017. Se registró motivo de consulta, edad, sexo, antecedentes de fami liar portador de lesiones por VPH, antecedente de vulneración sexual, y actividad sexual consentida. Se detectó VPH por PCR y tipificación mediante hibridación reversa en línea del gen L1. Las muestras se analizaron en la Sección de Virus Oncogénicos del Instituto de Salud Pública. Resultados: Se estu diaron 110 pacientes; 44.5% niños/as. Se detectó VPH en 34 (30,9% [IC95% 22,4- 40,4]); 22 (44,9%) niños/as y 12 (19,7%) adolescentes. Once (91,7%) adolescentes tenían antecedente de contacto sexual (p < 0,005); 4 (18,2%) niños/as develaron vulneración sexual. 25% de las lesiones genitales y 50% de las perianales eran VPH (+) (p 0,015). Los genotipos más frecuentes fueron 59, 58, 16, 18, 6 y 11. En niños/as se detectó sólo genotipos de bajo riesgo. En 91.7% de las adolescentes VPH (+) se detectaron genotipos de alto riesgo. Conclusión: La prevalencia de infección por VPH fue 30%. En adolescentes la infección estuvo relacionada a contacto sexual y a VPH de alto riesgo. En niños/as se asoció a ge notipos de bajo riesgo. Las lesiones perianales se asociaron con mayor frecuencia que las genitales a infección por VPH. La inspección visual no permite precisar la etiología de las lesiones genitales, por lo que es necesario realizar test de PCR para virus papiloma humano.

Abstract: In Chilean children and adolescents, human papillomavirus (HPV) infection prevalence is unknown. In 2014, the HPV vaccine was incorporated into the National Immunization Program for girls, and since 2019 for boys. Objective: To determine the prevalence, genotypes, and characteristics of HPV infection in children and adolescents with anogenital lesions not vaccinated against HPV. Patients and Method: Children and adolescents with anogenital lesions who consulted at the Luis Calvo Mackenna Children’s Hospital between 2013 and 2017 were studied. The reason for consultation, age, sex, family history of HPV lesions, history of sexual abuse, and consensual sexual activity were recorded. HPV was detected by PCR and typification by reverse hybridization of the L1 gene. The samples were analyzed in the Oncogenic Virus Section of the Institute of Public Health. Results: 110 patients were studied; 44.5% were children. HPV was detected in 34 cases (30.9% [CI95% 22.4- 40.4]), 22 (44.9%) were children and 12 (19.7%) adolescents. Eleven (91.7%) adolescents had a history of sexual contact (p < 0.005); 4 (18.2%) children disclosed sexual abuse. HPV was found in 25% of patients with genital lesions and 50% with perianal lesions (p < 0.015). The most frequent genotypes were 59, 58, 16, 18, 6, and 11. Only low-risk genotypes were detected in children and high-risk genotypes were detected in 11/12 (91.7%) of HPV (+) adolescents. Conclusion: The prevalence of HPV infection was 30%. In adolescents, the infection was related to sexual contact and high-risk HPV. In children, it was associated with low-risk genotypes. Perianal lesions are more frequently associated with HPV infection than genital lesions in children and adolescents. The visual inspection does not allow to specify the etiology of the genital lesions, so it is necessary to perform a PCR test for HPV.

Abstract The analysis of business failure is important, considering that companies are the engine of a country's economy. In the present research work, the risk of failure of companies in the manufacturing sector of other non-metallic mineral products in Ecuador (ISIC C23) is studied. The data consists of an average of 183 companies in the period 2009-2019. Starting from the Ohlson model (1980), logit and probit econometric models are proposed to calculate the probability of failure of companies in the sector. In the logit model, the probability of failure is between 3,67% and 8,42%, while in the probit, it is between 3,79% and 7,75%. It is highlighted that as the business size increases, the risk of failure is reduced and that the year 2017 presents less risk. In addition, the logit model has greater predictive capacity.

Resumen El análisis de fracaso empresarial es importante, considerando que las empresas son el motor de la economía de un país. En el presente trabajo de investigación se estudia el riesgo de fracaso de las empresas del sector de fabricación de otros productos minerales no metálicos del Ecuador (CIIU C23). La data consta en promedio de 183 empresas en el periodo 2009-2019. Partiendo del modelo de Ohlson, se proponen los modelos econométricos logit y probit para calcular la probabilidad de fracaso de las empresas del sector. En el modelo logit la probabilidad de fracaso se encuentra entre 3,67% y 8,42%, mientras que en el probit se encuentra entre 3,79% y 7,75%. Se destaca que a medida que se incrementa el tamaño empresarial, se reduce el riesgo de fracaso y que el año 2017 presenta menor riesgo; además, el modelo logit tiene mayor capacidad predictiva.

Resumen El objetivo de este artículo fue generar un modelo reconocimiento automático de voz (RAV) basado en la traducción de la voz humana a texto, a este proceso se lo ha considerado como una de las ramas de la inteligencia artificial. El análisis de voz permite identificar información sobre la acústica, fonética, sintáctica, semántica de las palabras, entre otros elementos que pueden identificar ambigüedad en términos, errores de pronunciación, sintáctica similar pero semántica diferente, que representan características propias del lenguaje humano. El modelo se centró en el análisis acústico de las palabras, proponiendo la generación de una metodología para reconocimiento acústico, a partir de transcripciones del habla de audios que contienen voz humana. Se utilizó la tasa de error por palabra para identificar la precisión del modelo. Los audios son llamadas de emergencia registrados por el Servicio Integrado de Seguridad ECU 911. El modelo fue entrenado con la herramienta CMUSphinx para idioma español sin conexión a internet. Los resultados mostraron que la tasa de error por palabra varía en relación con la cantidad de audios; es decir a mayor cantidad de audios menor cantidad de palabras erróneas y mayor exactitud del modelo. La investigación concluyó haciendo énfasis en la duración de cada audio como variable que afecta la precisión del modelo.

Abstract The objective of the article was to generate an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model based on the translation from human voice to text, being considered as one of the branches of artificial intelligence. Voice analysis allows identifying information about the acoustics, phonetics, syntax, semantics of words, among other elements where ambiguity in terms, pronunciation errors, similar syntax but different semantics can be identified, which represent characteristics of the language. The model focused on the acoustic analysis of words proposing the generation of a methodology for acoustic recognition from speech transcripts from audios containing human voice and the error rate per word was considered to identify the accuracy of the model. The audios were taken from the Integrated Security Service ECU 911 that represent emergency calls registered by the entity. The model was trained with the CMUSphinx tool for the Spanish language without internet connection. The results showed that the word error rate varies in relation to the number of audios; that is, the greater the number of audios, the smaller number of erroneous words and the greater the accuracy of the model. The investigation concluded by emphasizing the duration of each audio as a variable that affects the accuracy of the model.

The aim of this investigation was to compare the relationship between different components of physical fitness with academic performance in public school students from La Serena, Chile. To perform the analysis, data from the following test was collected: Test Course-Navette, horizontal broad jump, body mass index (B.M.I.) and waist perimeter, test applied to public school students during 2019; as well as grades averages from Language, Mathematics, Sciences, History, Physical Education, and grade point average. The data from 1629 students from 19 different schools were included for the analysis. To compare the relationship between the mentioned variables, the Spearman correlation coefficient was applied through IBM® SPSS® statistics. Of the four test considered, waist perimeter and maximal oxygen consumption (VO2máx) were the ones with the highest number of statistically significant relationships with the different subjects and grade point average, with 3 out of 6 (50%) and 4 out of 6 (66,6%) respectively. According to the obtained results, it concludes that a significant relationship exists between the variables waist perimeter and VO2máx with academic performance in students from public schools from La Serena, Chile, so it is proposed to dedicate efforts and to use better strategies to strengthen both variables of physical fitness in educational institutions with the purpose to stimulate the academic performance of the students.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue comparar la relación entre distintos componentes de la condición física con el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de colegios municipales de La Serena, Chile. Para llevar a cabo dicho análisis, se recogieron los datos de las siguientes pruebas: Test Course-Navette, prueba de salto horizontal, índice de masa corporal (I.M.C), y perímetro de cintura, pruebas aplicadas a los estudiantes de colegios municipales durante 2019; así como sus promedios de notas en las asignaturas de Lenguaje, Matemática, Ciencias, Historia, Educación Física y el promedio general. Los datos de 1629 estudiantes de 19 colegios distintos fueron incluidos para su análisis. Para comparar la relación entre las variables mencionadas, se aplicó el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman mediante el programa estadístico IBM® SPPS®. De las cuatro pruebas consideradas, el perímetro de cintura y el consumo máximo de oxígeno (VO2máx) fueron los que presentaron mayor cantidad de relaciones estadísticamente significativas con las distintas asignaturas y promedio general, con 3 de 6 (50%) y 4 de 6 (66,6%) respectivamente. Según los resultados obtenidos, se concluye que existe una relación significativa entre las variables perímetro de cintura y VO2máx con el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de colegio de dependencia municipal en la comuna de La Serena, Chile, por lo que se propone dedicar esfuerzos y usar mejores estrategias para fortalecer ambas variables de la condición física en las instituciones educativas con el fin de favorecer el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes.

Abstract: The objective of this article is to review the main theories of the social sciences applied to Latin American Pentecostalism, selecting the most recognized authors from Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. In general terms, the theories applied to Latin American Pentecostalism can be synthesized in five assumptions: popular religion; communication theory; social movement; dramaturgy and emotions. Methodologically, we selected the articles and books produced on the theoretical approaches related to Latin American Pentecostalism during the period 1967-2017, that is, 50 years of research. For the classification and analysis of information, we use content analysis as a technique, focusing specifically on published articles and books, leaving aside conference theses and monographs.

Resumen: El objetivo de este artículo es hacer una revisión de las principales teorías de las ciencias sociales aplicadas al pentecostalismo latinoamericano, seleccionando a autores y autoras más reconocidos de México, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina y Brasil. En términos generales, las teorías aplicadas al pentecostalismo latinoamericano se pueden sintetizar en cuatro presupuestos: religión popular; teoría de la comunicación; movimiento social; y de las emociones. Se seleccionaron los artículos y libros producidos sobre los abordajes teóricos referidos al pentecostalismo latinoamericano durante el periodo 1967-2017, es decir, 50 años de investigaciones. Posteriormente, se procedió a revisar y clasificar las publicaciones según los distintos abordajes teóricos. Para ello, se utilizó como técnica el análisis de contenido, privilegiando artículos y libros publicados, dejando de lado las tesis y monografías.

ABSTRACT: Fascioliasis is a widely distributed parasitic zoonosis caused by the trematode Fasciola hepatica that affects livestock production and generates high economic losses. In Chilean authorised abattoirs, the infected livestock livers are condemned during the veterinary inspection. This study aims to evaluate the prevalence of fascioliasis in Chile from 2014 to 2016 and also monthly from 2002 to 2015 in livestock (cattle, pig, sheep, horse and goat) slaughtered in abattoirs of La Araucanía region, southern Chile. To do this, the available records on abattoirs provided by the sanitary authority were analysed. A descriptive statistics and trend analysis of the data by jointpoint regression was carried out. The Biobío and La Araucanía regions registered the highest levels of parasitosis in the country recording levels of 59.18 and 44.74%, respectively, and presented 50.03% of the liver condemnation rate in cattle. During the study period, a total of 2,239,164 animals were slaughtered and 40.59% infected livers with F. hepatica were condemned in the 9 existing abattoirs of La Araucanía region. The abattoirs located in the cities of Temuco (51.43%) and Angol (65.09%) recorded the highest percentages of fascioliasis. The cattle species recorded the highest number of slaughtered animals and liver condemnation (54.52%). The presence of the parasite was recorded annually and monthly and it was possible to observe a slight increase in fascioliasis over the years. This study provides updated information on the fascioliasis prevalence in the country and the dynamics of condemnation in endemic areas such as La Araucanía region, which could contribute to the control and prevention of this zoonosis.
