Resumo Objetivo Avaliar o estresse laboral, a satisfação e a motivação para o trabalho de profissionais de enfermagem de bloco operatório no Brasil. Métodos Estudo do tipo open survey nacional, realizado entre os meses de agosto e dezembro de 2023. Utilizou-se Escala de Satisfação no Trabalho - EST, o questionário de Motivação para o trabalho e a Escala de Estresse no Trabalho – EET em um formulário online. Resultados Houve um total de 385 respostas, sendo 160 profissionais (41,6%) técnicos ou auxiliares de enfermagem e 225(58,4%) enfermeiros. Houve elevada parcela de profissionais com níveis de estresse entre moderado e elevado (72,98%), tendo sido significativo o resultado de maior estresse moderado a elevado nos profissionais do turno diurno (p=0,01) e sem diferença por gênero nem faixa etária. Não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre as variáveis para técnicos e enfermeiros, nem em função do tipo de vínculo. Ter dois ou mais empregos e trabalhar em horários diurnos está associado a maior percepção de estresse relacionado ao trabalho. Abstract Objective Evaluating job stress, job satisfaction and job motivation among operating room nurses in Brazil. Methods This was a national open-ended survey carried out between August and December 2023. The Work Satisfaction Scale (WSS), the Motivation for Work questionnaire and the Work Stress Scale (WSS) were used in an online form. Results There were a total of 385 responses, of which 160 professionals (41.6%) were nursing technicians or assistants and 225 (58.4%) were nurses. There was a high proportion of professionals with moderate to high levels of stress (72.98%), with a significant result of greater moderate to high stress in day shift professionals (p=0.01) and no difference by gender or age group. RESUMO: Botulismo é causado pela ingestão de toxinas pré-fromadas produzidas por Clostridium botulinum. Este estudo descrevre um surto de botulismo tipo D em um rebanho bovino, com alta taxa de mortalidade (67%), devido ao consumo de silagem mal acondicionada. Os bovinos afetados apresentaram curso clínico hiperagudo e agudo de paralisia flácida progressiva. Cinco animais foram necropsiados e não foram visualizadas alterações macroscópicas e microscópicas. Embora a toxina não tenha sido detectada no alimento, a fonte mais provável de contaminação foi considerada a silagem armazenada inadequadamente. O diagnóstico de botulismo foi baseado nos achados clínicos, epidemiológicos e pela detecção da toxina botulínica no conteúdo intestinal de dois bovinos. ABSTRACT: Botulism is a condition caused by the ingestion of pre-formed toxins produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This study described an outbreak of type D botulism with a high mortality rate (67%) in a cattle herd, caused by the consumption of fermented silage. The affected cattle presented with a hyperacute to acute clinical course with progressive flaccid paralysis. Five animals underwent necropsy with no significant macroscopic and microscopic alterations. A most probable source of contamination was deemed to be an inadequately stored silage; although, the toxin was not detected in the feed. The diagnosis of botulism was based on both clinical and epidemiological findings and the detection of botulinum toxin in the intestinal contents of two of the affected cattle. Jaboticaba peel powder (JPP) is a residue that contains phenolic compounds, such as anthocyanins and gallic acid. An adsorbent-bioactive complex (ABC) was synthesized using an extract rich in compounds with antioxidant properties obtained from JPP immobilized on microcrystalline cellulose from sweet sorghum bagasse. In this work, the result of thermal degradation of anthocyanins from JPP and ABC, activation energy (Ea), half-life time (t1/2), decimal reduction time (D), temperature variation (Z), thermodynamic parameters (enthalpy (ΔH), Gibbs free energy (ΔG) and entropy (ΔS)) and degradation of antioxidant activities were investigated. Anthocyanin degradation of 35, 60 and 85% was observed for JPP and 10, 30 and 65% for ABC at temperatures of 90-130 °C. Ea of JPP and ABC were 110 and 91 kJ mol-1, respectively. ABC was able to increase from 143-690% the half-life time when compared to JPP. The Z parameter indicated that a greater temperature variation is necessary to degrade ABC anthocyanins (31 °C) when compared to JPP (25 °C). The thermodynamic parameters showed that the energy needed to be broken down to reach the transition state is higher for JPP than ABC, in addition ABC is closer to its thermodynamic equilibrium state. Abstract Objective To identify care actions of continuity in federal university hospitals in Brazil. Methods This is descriptive and exploratory research of a documentary nature, with a quantitative approach. The data was collected in January 2023 directly from the Brazilian Hospital Services Company website. Data analysis occurred using simple descriptive statistics. Results The sample consisted of 41 news items, the majority (22%) published in 2021, by hospitals in the Northeast region (34.1%) and with women and children as the main target audience. RESUMO: O estudo foi realizado em um ovino, fêmea, de três anos de idade, da raça santa inês, procedente de uma propriedade localizada do município de Santo Antônio de Tauá, oeste do Pará. O animal acometido tinha histórico de exoftalmia no olho esquerdo, secreção nasal e dificuldade respiratória há mais de três meses. Ao exame físico o animal apresentava baixo escore corporal, apatia, assimetria facial unilateral, moderada exoftalmia unilateral esquerda, dispneia mista e exsudação nasal serossanguinolenta profusa unilateral. À necropsia, foi observada grande massa nasal, predominantemente branco-amarelada com áreas vermelho enegrecidas, de superfície irregular, finamente granular, úmida e friável. A massa invadia desde a junção mucocutânea do nariz esquerdo até as coanas, se infiltrava pelos seios nasais frontais, placa cribiforme e alcançava as meninges e a porção frontal do cérebro. ABSTRACT: The study was conducted on a 3-year-old female Santa Inês sheep from a property located in the municipality of Santo Antônio de Tauá, west of Pará. The affected animal had a history of exophthalmos in the left eye, nasal discharge, and breathing difficulty for more than three months. On physical examination, the animal had a low body score, apathy, unilateral facial asymmetry, moderate unilateral left exophthalmos, mixed dyspnea and unilateral profuse serosanguinous nasal discharge. At necropsy, a large nasal mass was observed, predominantly yellowish-white with blackish-red areas, with an irregular, finely granular, moist, and friable surface. The mass invaded from the mucocutaneous junction of the left nostril to the choanae, infiltrated the frontal sinuses, the cribiform plate, and reached the meninges and the frontal portion of the brain. Microscopy of the surface of the nasal epithelium showed severe destruction of the turbinates and epithelia, evidenced by extensive areas of necrosis with a large amount of cellular debris, ulceration, and secondary bacterial infection. In the central nervous system there was pyogranulomatous meningitis with marked vessel congestion, as well as foci of necrosis and granulomatous inflammation. RESUMO A Teoria da Dependência dos Recursos procura entender como fatores externos influenciam o comportamento da organização, sua dependência e diversificação de recursos. Este estudo analisa a influência dos desempenhos econômico-financeiro e esportivo na diversificação das receitas de 24 clubes de futebol brasileiros. A composição das receitas foi analisada por meio da classificação da APFUT, adicionada da categoria “Receitas Financeiras”, enquanto o indicador Hirschman-Herfindahl adaptado foi utilizado para medir o nível de diversificação. Os resultados indicam que as principais receitas dos clubes são Direitos de Transmissão, Repasse de Direitos Federativos e Patrocínio. ABSTRACT The Resource Dependence Theory seeks to understand how external factors influence an organization's behavior, dependency, and diversification of resources. This study analyzes the influence of economic-financial and sports performance on the revenue diversification of 24 Brazilian football clubs. The composition of the revenues was analyzed through the APFUT classification, with the addition of the "Financial Revenues" category, while the adapted Hirschman-Herfindahl Index was used to measure the level of diversification. The results indicate that the clubs' main revenues are Broadcasting Rights, Transfer of Federative Rights, and Sponsorship. The models pointed to the positive effects of profitability and Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) Ranking and the negative effect of promotion to the first division on the diversification level, indicating the relevance of economic and sports elements. ABSTRACT The spatial variability of soil attributes in terraced areas is poorly studied in the semi-arid region. Considering that multivariate analysis enhances the diagnosis of spatial variability from geostatistics, soil attributes were studied in different zones between terrace channels in semi-arid region, more precisely in a retention terrace area in Canindé (Ceará, Brazil). Soil samples (n = 100) were collected at depths of 0.0 - 0.1 and 0.1 - 0.2 m for descriptive and geostatistical analysis. For multivariate analysis, samples from three zones relative to the terrace channel (Upper, Middle, and Lower) in the 0.0 - 0.2 m layer were considered, with 30 replicates. There was spatial dependence of soil attributes in the two layers studied. Near the channel, in the respective layers, there was higher clay content (13.7% and 14.7%) and higher degree of flocculation (61.3% and 71.7%) compared to the other zones. Water-dispersible clay was higher in the Upper zone (6.5% and 7.7% in the respective layers), while the Middle zone showed higher potential acidity in the evaluated layers (4.8 and 4.5 cmolc dm-3, respectively) compared to the other zones. RESUMO: O melão de polpa alaranjada honeydew apresenta elevado potencial nutricional e econômico, sendo amplamente apreciado como fruta doce e refrescante. Portanto, avaliar amostras comerciais de produtos tão relevantes para o mercado de frutas frescas é de grande importância. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a capacidade antioxidante, os parâmetros de qualidade e a composição química de melões do mercado brasileiro. Os valores de pH e ºBrix determinados para as amostras de melão foram 6,5 ± 0,30 e 9,2 ± 0,80 g/100 g (peso fresco), respectivamente, o que está de acordo com os resultados esperados para melões de alta qualidade. A análise cromatográfica revelou a sacarose (49% do açúcar total) como principal açúcar, seguida pela frutose (30%) e glicose (21%). Os carotenóides, que estão diretamente ligados à cor laranja característica, apresentaram teor total de 270,59 µg/g (peso seco). Além disso, o maior valor de b* comparado ao valor de a* indica a maior contribuição da cor amarela. ABSTRACT: Orange-fleshed non-netted honeydew melon has high nutritional and economic potential, being widely appreciated as a refreshing sweet fruit. Therefore, evaluating commercial samples of such relevant products for the fresh fruit market is of great importance. This study investigated the antioxidant capacity, quality parameters, and chemical composition of honeydew melons from the Brazilian market. The values of pH and °Brix determined for melon samples were 6.5 ± 0.30 and 9.2 ± 0.80 g/100 g (fresh weight), respectively, which agree with the results expected for high-quality melons. The chromatography analysis revealed sucrose (49% of total sugar) as the main sugar, followed by fructose (30%) and glucose (21%). Carotenoids, which are directly linked to the characteristic orange color, showed a total level of 270.59 µg/g (dry weight). Additionally, the higher b* value compared to a* value indicates the highest yellow contribution. RESUMO Devido às importantes funções do cálcio na fisiologia vegetal, a suplementação deste nutriente pode ser uma estratégia viável para aumentar a tolerância das plantas à salinidade. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar as trocas gasosas e o crescimento de cultivares de rúcula de folhas largas cultivadas em fibra de coco submetidas ao estresse salino. ABSTRACT Due to the important functions of calcium in plant physiology, supplementation of this nutrient may be a viable strategy to increase the tolerance of plants to salinity. Thus, the objective in this study was to evaluate the gas exchange and growth of broad-leaf arugula cultivars cultivated in coconut fiber subjected to salt stress. RESUMO A batata-doce é uma raiz alimentar vital, rica em vitaminas, minerais e compostos bioativos. Genótipos que atendam a essas demandas nutricionais são essenciais para combater deficiências de nutrientes e promover a saúde humana. Assim, pressupõe-se a hipótese de que os genótipos de batata-doce diferem na qualidade físico-química e nos compostos bioativos quando avaliados sob as mesmas condições ambientais. Deste modo, este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar a qualidade físico-química e os compostos bioativos em genótipos de batata-doce de polpa alaranjada. O experimento foi conduzido de abril de 2022 a agosto de 2022, na área experimental de Engenharia Agronômica, localizada na Unidade Acadêmica Especializada em Ciências Agrárias (UAECA) - UFRN, em Macaíba, RN, Brasil. ABSTRACT Sweet potato is a vital food root, rich in vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds. Genotypes that meet these nutritional demands are essential to combat nutrient deficiencies and promote human health. Thus, it presupposes the hypothesis that sweet potato genotypes differ in physicochemical quality and bioactive compounds when evaluated under the same environmental conditions. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the physicochemical quality and bioactive compounds in genotypes of orange-fleshed sweet potato. The experiment was conducted from April 2022 to August 2022 in the experimental area of Agronomic Engineering, located at the Academic Unit Specialized in Agricultural Sciences (UAECA) - UFRN, in Macaíba, RN, Brazil. Resumo Objetivo Investigar as evidências de validade da Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) para análise da prevalência de sintomas de depressão, ansiedade e estresse em uma amostra de trabalhadores de enfermagem brasileiros. Métodos Estudo transversal, com amostragem não-probabilística. Participaram do estudo 4053 trabalhadores de enfermagem brasileiros. Abstract Objectives To investigate the validity evidence of the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and to analyze the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms in a sample of Brazilian nursing workers. Methods This was a cross-sectional study with non-probability convenience sampling. A total of 4053 Brazilian nursing workers participated in the study. The psychometric properties of DASS-21 were assessed by analysis of the validity based on the internal structure (factorial, convergent, and discriminant construct validity, invariance of the factorial model, and reliability); relationships with external measures (positive and negative convergent validity of the depression, anxiety, and stress factors with the emotional impairment, job satisfaction, and individual and occupational variables); and response process of the items (analysis of the differential item functioning in distinct subgroups). Data reliability was certified by estimating the ordinal alpha coefficient and the composite reliability. The prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms was estimated based on recommendations from the original authors of DASS-21. Results During validation of the internal structure, the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fit of the sample to the original DASS-21 model was adequate and the strong measurement invariance of the model was confirmed in different groups. Analysis based on external measures showed that the depression, anxiety, and stress factors had positive and moderate-strong correlations with the emotional impairment domain and negative and moderate correlations with the job satisfaction construct. Analysis of the pattern of response to items confirmed the uniformity and stability of the instrument for the sample. Regarding symptoms, the high prevalence of extremely severe levels of depression, anxiety, and stress was highlighted among participants. Conclusion DASS-21 presented adequate validity and reliability to assess depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms among Brazilian nursing workers. Resumo O objetivo deste estudo é explorar abordagens mais sustentáveis, substituindo o cimento Portland (OPC) por pó reciclado misto (RMP) derivado de resíduos de construção e demolição (RCD), focado na redução das emissões de carbono. O RCD foi submetido à moagem e peneiramento até a obtenção de uma fração < 0,15 mm. Em seguida, as partículas foram termicamente ativadas a 800°C em mufla por 0,5, 1, 2 e 3 horas. Os níveis de substituição de OPC por RMP foram definidos a partir do método de empacotamento de partículas, variando entre 0 e 65%. Abstract The aim of this study is to explore more sustainable approaches by replacing Portland cement (OPC) with recycled mixed powder (RMP) derived from construction and demolition waste (CDW), with a focus on reducing carbon emissions. The CDW was subjected to grinding and sieving until a fraction <0.15 mm was obtained. The particles were then thermally activated at 800°C in a muffle for 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 hours. The OPC replacement levels by RMP were defined based on the particle packing method, ranging from 0 to 65%. The study was carried out on pastes with a water/fines ratio ranging from 0.07 to 0.14 and superplasticizer admixture (SP), evaluating the compressive strength at 28, 63, and 91 days. The mechanical and environmental performance of Portland cement pastes composed with RMP showed compressive strength higher than the reference, reaching 37 MPa for a 45% replacement content at 28 days, reducing the CO2 emissions per m³ of paste by up to 53%. Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar possíveis correlações entre competências socioemocionais, adaptabilidade de carreira e autoeficácia na transição escola-trabalho. A amostra foi composta por 505 jovens aprendizes com idades entre 14 e 24 anos, sendo 39,4 % do sexo masculino (n = 199), 60,6 % do sexo feminino (n = 306), participantes de um programa de aprendizagem. Foram utilizados quatro instrumentos aplicados online: Instrumento para Avaliação de Competências Socioemocionais (SENNA 2.0), Escala de Adaptabilidade de Carreira (EAC), Escala de Autoeficácia na Transição Escola-Trabalho (AETBR), Questionário de Identificação e Critério de Classificação Econômica Brasil. Foram realizadas análises fatoriais confirmatórias, de confiabilidade, descritivas e correlações r de Pearson. Os resultados indicam correlações importantes entre todas as variáveis, exceto entre as competências socioemocionais, amabilidade e engajamento com os outros. Os resultados da AETT-BR e da EAC mostram relação entre confiança e adaptação. Os achados mostram implicações para as práticas e pistas para novas investigações.

Resumen: El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar posibles correlaciones entre competencias socioemocionales, adaptabilidad de carrera y autoeficacia, en la transición escuela-trabajo. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 505 jóvenes participantes de un programa de aprendizaje con edades entre 14 y 24 años, siendo 39.4 % del sexo masculino (n = 199) y 60.6 % del sexo femenino (n = 306). Se utilizaron cuatro instrumentos aplicados online: Instrumento para Evaluación de Competencias Socioemocionales (SENNA 2.0), Escala de Adaptabilidad de Carrera (EAC), Escala de Autoeficacia en la Transición Escuela-Trabajo (AETBR) y Cuestionario de Identificación y Criterio de Clasificación Económica Brasil. Se realizaron análisis factoriales confirmatorios de confiabilidad y descriptivos y correlaciones r de Pearson. Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate possible correlations between socioemotional competencies, career adaptability and self-efficacy in the school-work transition. The sample consisted of 505 young apprentices aged between 14 and 24, 39.4 % male (n = 199), 60.6 % female (n = 306), participating in an apprenticeship program. Four online instruments were used: the Socio-Emotional Skills Assessment Tool (SENNA 2.0), the Career Adaptability Scale (CAT), the Self-Efficacy Scale for the School-Work Transition (AETT-BR), the Identification Questionnaire and the Brazil Economic Classification Criterion. Confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive analysis and Pearson's r correlations were carried out. The results indicate significant correlations between all the variables, except for socioemotional competencies, kindness and engagement with others. The results of the AETT-BR and CAT show a relationship between trust and adaptation. The findings show implications for practice and avenues for further research.

RESUMO O potássio é um nutriente com potencial para aumentar a tolerância das plantas ao estresse salino. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a produção e a qualidade da couve submetida ao estresse salino e às concentrações de potássio em ambiente protegido. O delineamento experimental adotado foi em parcela subdivididas, sendo as parcelas compostas por cinco soluções nutritivas (tratamento controle, S1 - solução nutritiva padrão usando água de baixa salinidade, 0,5 dS m-1 (500 mg L-1 de KNO3), e quatro soluções nutritivas preparadas em águas salobras (3,5 dS m-1) contendo quatro concentrações de KNO3 (S2 - 500 mg L-1, S3 - 625 mg L-1, S4 - 750 mg L-1, S5 - 1.000 mg L-1). The experimental design was in split plots, with plots composed of five nutrient solutions (control treatment, S1 - standard nutrient solution prepared in low-salinity water, 0.5 dS m-1 (500 mg L-1 of KNO3), and four nutrient solutions prepared in brackish waters (3.5 dS m-1) containing four concentrations of KNO3 (S2 - 500 mg L-1, S3 - 625 mg L-1, S4 - 750 mg L-1, S5 - 1,000 mg L-1), and subplots represented by two leaf kale cultivars (Manteiga and Manteiga da Geórgia). Leaf production variables and post-harvest physical and chemical qualities were evaluated. The saline nutrient solution with the addition of NaCl (S2) reduced production but did not reduce the post-harvest quality of kale. RESUMEN Este estudio tiene como objetivo verificar cómo ha sido la implementación de conceptos básicos sobre las metas establecidas al 2030 y cómo los estudiantes de barrios de la periferia de Río de Janeiro están construyendo su propia percepción sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). El artículo es necesario dado que la responsabilidad social y la ética empresarial se basan en una educación alineada con la sostenibilidad. Este estudio es de naturaleza exploratoria y cualitativa. El estudio mostró un alineamiento respecto a la necesidad de repensar las estrategias de enseñanza para trabajar el tema en el aula. Al comparar el desarrollo de los estudiantes de barrios dentro de una misma ciudad, queda claro que los de esta región están menos afectados, dada esta descontextualización de los ODS con la vida de los estudiantes. Es necesario monitorear la construcción de la ciencia sobre este tema urgente. Se concluye que los ODS deben ser debatidos con mayor regularidad en las escuelas para mejorar e incluso incentivar a los docentes a involucrarse con los objetivos, además de incluirse en el currículo escolar de manera integrada con otros agentes sociales, preferiblemente con el apoyo de personas comprometidas. programas para lograr los objetivos de la agenda 2030.

ABSTRACT This study aims to verify how the implementation of basic concepts about the goals established by 2030 has been and how students from neighborhoods on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro are building their own perception of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The article is necessary given that social responsibility and business ethics are based on education aligned with sustainability. This study is exploratory and qualitative in nature. The study showed an alignment regarding the need to rethink teaching strategies to work on the topic in the classroom. When comparing the development of students from neighborhoods within the same city, it is clear that those from this region are less touched, given this decontextualization of the SDGs with the lives of students. It is necessary to monitor the construction of science on this urgent topic. It is concluded that the SDGs must be debated more regularly in schools to improve and even encourage teachers to get involved with the goals, in addition to being included in the school curriculum in an integrated way with other social agents, preferably with the support of committed programs in achieving the goals of the 2030 agenda.

RESUMO Este estudo tem como objetivo verificar como tem sido a implementação de conceitos básicos sobre as metas estabelecidas até 2030 e como os alunos de um bairro da periferia do Rio de Janeiro estão construindo sua própria percepção dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). O artigo se faz necessário dado que a responsabilidade social e ética empresarial estão alicerçadas por uma educação alinhada ao olhar da sustentabilidade. Esse estudo é exploratório e de natureza qualitativa. O estudo evidenciou um alinhamento quanto à necessidade de repensar estratégias didáticas para trabalhar a temática na sala de aula. Ao comparar o conhecimento acerca dos ODS dos alunos de diferentes bairros dentro da mesma cidade, percebe-se que os mais afastados do centro estão menos emergentes, dada essa descontextualização dos ODS com a vida dos discentes. É necessário um maior debate dentro e fora das salas de aula, para uma construção da ciência acerca dos ODS, cuja temática é urgente. Conclui-se que os ODS devem ser debatidos com mais regularidade nas escolas para sanar e até incentivar os docentes a se envolverem com as metas, além de inseridos no currículo escolar de forma integrada a outros agentes sociais, de preferência com o apoio de programas compromissados em atingir as metas da agenda 2030.
