Resumo Introdução: Osteodistrofia renal (OR) refere-se a um grupo de padrões morfológicos ósseos que decorrem de mecanismos fisiopatológicos distintos. É desconhecido se os subtipos de OR influenciam desfechos em longo prazo. Nosso objetivo foi explorar as relações entre OR e desfechos. Métodos: Este estudo é uma subanálise do Registro Brasileiro de Biópsias Ósseas (REBRABO). As amostras de cada paciente foram classificadas em osteíte fibrosa (OF), osteodistrofia urêmica mista (MUO), doença óssea adinâmica (ABD), osteomalácia (OM), alterações normais/menores, e pelo sistema Remodelação / Mineralização / Volume (RMV). Os pacientes foram acompanhados por 3,4 anos. Os eventos clínicos foram: fraturas ósseas, hospitalizações, eventos cardiovasculares adversos maiores (MACE), e óbito. Resultados: Analisamos 275 indivíduos, 248 (90%) deles estavam em diálise. No acompanhamento, 28 fraturas ósseas, 97 hospitalizações, 44 MACE e 70 óbitos foram registrados. Abstract Introduction: Renal osteodystrophy (ROD) refers to a group of bone morphological patterns that derive from distinct pathophysiological mechanisms. Whether the ROD subtypes influence long-term outcomes is unknown. Our objective was to explore the relationship between ROD and clinical outcomes. Methods: This study is a subanalysis of the Brazilian Registry of Bone Biopsies (REBRABO). Samples from individual patients were classified as having osteitis fibrosa (OF), mixed uremic osteodystrophy (MUO), adynamic bone disease (ABD), osteomalacia (OM), normal/minor alterations, and according to turnover/mineralization/volume (TMV) system. Patients were followed for 3.4 yrs. Clinical outcomes were: bone fractures, hospitalization, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), and death. Results: We enrolled 275 participants, of which 248 (90%) were on dialysis. At follow-up, 28 bone fractures, 97 hospitalizations, 44 MACE, and 70 deaths were recorded. ABSTRACT The knowledge of correlations between multiple characteristics in plant breeding leads to more effective selection strategies. The path analysis allows refining these correlations and partitioning them into direct and indirect effects on the main variable. The path analysis becomes more effective when based on predicted genotypic values rather than phenotypic values. The objective was to evaluate correlations between the main agronomic characteristics of grapevine cultivation and their direct and indirect effects on yield per plant to improve selection strategies to reach superior progenies. A randomized complete block design was installed using four cultivars and two rootstocks, five repetitions, and plots of four plants. Data from three crop seasons were analyzed from a mixed model and genetic correlations were subject to the path analysis. A high and positive significant correlation was found between average fruit production and the number of clusters per plant. On the other hand, the average production per plant showed a low correlation to cluster width and height per grapevine. Wider and higher berries tend to increase berry fresh mass and therefore increase the contents of soluble solids and reducing sugars. Among the features, the number of clusters per plant has the strongest direct effect on fruit production in grape cultivars. Berry fresh mass, berry length, and berry width were indirectly influenced by the number of clusters and showed high heritability compared to yield and number of clusters. Abstract Objectives The aim of this study was to explore the differences in the pattern of allergen sensitization in CR individuals without or with asthma, according to asthma severity. Methods A total of 1066 adults were evaluated. Asthma and chronic⁄allergic rhinits were identified by specialists, questionnaries and skin-prick test. The phenotypic characterization was avaliable from skin-prick test to an aeroallergen extended panel, total IgE and pulmonary function. Using questionnaires and clinical evaluation, participants were classified into the groups: chronic rhinitis alone (CRA) and chronic rhinitis + asthma, the latter subdivided into CR + mild asthma (CRMA) and CR + moderate to severe asthma (CRMSA). Aerollergen sensitization was defined by a positive prick test to one or more allergens associated with nasal symptoms and/or asthma. The association between CR and asthma was evaluated by multivariable logistic regression. The evidence of effect modification of pattern of sensitization in CR on the association with asthma severity and outcomes was examined by introducing interactions terms in the logistic regression models adjusting for confounders. Results Frequency of sensitization to aeroallergens was higher in association with asthma in comparison to CRA (CRMA 70.4%; CRMSA 65.0%; CRA 47.0%; p= 0.000). Similarly, the presence of asthma was associated to aeroallergen multiple sensitization (51.5%) (OR = 2.10, 95% CI 1.27-3.50). Additionally, the sensitization to mites, cockroaches, animal epithelium, grasses, and molds, were higher in asthma (56.8%, 24.3%, 12%, 7.13% and 10.3%, respectively). Sensitization to Alternaria alternata, Cladosporium herbarum and dog epithelium was exclusive in asthma groups. A concomitant asthma diagnosis was directly associated with a positive allergen sensitization at least one allergen (62.7%, OR = 2.45, 95% CI 1.80-3.34) and polissensitization (51.5%, OR = 2.10, 95% CI 1.27-3.50). Conclusion Asthma is associated with multiple allergen sensitization among patients with CR. Some unique profiles of aeroallergen sensitization were observed in patients with CR and asthma. Nevertheless, no difference was found in the sensitization in relation to asthma severity, which suggest atopy is not the main underlying mechanism for asthma severity among patients with CR. Abstract Luffa operculata (L.) Cogn. (Cucurbitaceae) aqueous extract (EBN) was gestationally administered to Wistar rats to evaluate sex-related behavioral changes in young individuals receiving a two-hit stimulus of 1 mg/kg EBN, followed by stress challenge (NYM) or lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure. EBN exposition occurred by gavage at gestational days (GDs) 17 to 21, and NYM or LPS was conducted at post-natal day 60 (PND60). Behavior was evaluated in the open field (OF) and light-dark box (LDB) apparatuses. Serum hormones, pro- inflammatory cytokines, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and creatinine were measured. The liver and kidneys were histologically evaluated. Male and female young rats responded differently in latency to the light side and locomotion frequency on the dark side, corticosterone (females, LPS), and ACTH (females, stress). Male rats showed improved TNF-α (LPS group) and melatonin (LPS group). No histological or biochemical differences were observed in the liver or kidneys. Female young rats were more resilient to the two-hit-stimulus than the male rats. ABSTRACT Purpose: To compare robotic versus laparoscopic colectomies in colon cancer patients in general complications. Methods: Nine databases were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCT) investigating patients with colon cancer, submitted to robotic surgery (RS) compared to a laparoscopic (LC) approach. The risk of bias was assessed using RoB 2.0 tool, and certainty of the evidence was evaluated by Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE). Data synthesis was performed using the software R. The meta-analysis of the included studies was carried out using the fixed-effects model (DerSimonian and Laird). Heterogeneity was measured using I2 analysis. Results: A total of four studies were used with 293 patients. Three studies were used in this comparative LC vs. RS when evaluating infection rates on surgical wound sites. The odds ratio (OR) appeared to be slightly favorable to LC (OR = 3.05; 95% confidence interval–95%CI 0.78–11.96). In the hospitalization rates analysis, two randomized controlled trials were used, and the mean differences slightly favored the RS (MD = -0.54; 95%CI -2.28–1.19). GRADE evaluation detected a serious risk of bias due to RCT format and RoB-2 concurred. Conclusion: Both types of procedures seem to have their own benefits, risks, and limitations. RESUMO: O presente trabalho descreve, através de estudo retrospectivo, os achados epidemiológicos e clínico-patológicos em caprinos e ovinos com lesões compressivas no sistema nervoso central (SNC) no estado do Pará. O estudo retrospectivo compreendeu as observações realizadas em oito ovinos e três caprinos no período de 2005 a 2022, por meio da revisão dos arquivos de fichas clínicas de animais com lesões compressivas no SNC, atendidos pelo Hospital Veterinário Carlos Tokarnia do Instituto de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Federal do Pará. Os animais atendidos com sintomatologia clínica foram submetidos a exames clínicos geral e específico do sistema nervoso. Todos os animais incluídos no estudo foram necropsiados. Os sinais clínicos variaram de acordo com a localização da lesão. Os achados de necropsia revelaram alterações como abscesso com osteomielite do corpo da vértebra com fratura patológica e compressão da medula espinhal; abscesso sub-meningeano no assoalho do crânio; hematoma subaracnoideo e alteração óssea congênita causando compressão medular e espondilite anquilosante. A realização de um minucioso exame clínico do SNC, associado aos achados de necropsia foi importante para caracterizar o quadro clínico, localizar a lesão e determinar a causa da enfermidade. ABSTRACT: This paper describes, within the framework of a retrospective study, the epidemiological and clinicopathological findings in goats and sheep with compressive lesions of the central nervous system (CNS) in Pará. This study included eight sheep and three goats from 2005 to 2022 by reviewing the clinical files of animals with CNS compressive lesions managed by the team of the Carlos Tokarnia Veterinary Hospital of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal University of Pará. The animals with clinical signs were subjected to a general and specific clinical examination of the nervous system. All animals included in the study were necropsied, and the clinical signs were found to vary according to the location of the lesion. At necropsy, changes such as an abscess with osteomyelitis of the vertebral body with pathologic fracture and spinal cord compression, submeningeal abscess in the skull floor, subarachnoid hematoma, and congenital bone changes causing spinal cord compression and ankylosing spondylitis were noted. These findings indicate that a comprehensive clinical examination of the CNS in conjunction with necropsy findings is essential to characterize the clinical picture, localize the lesion, and determine the cause of the disease. The most affected medullary segment was between T3 and L3. Therefore, these diseases should be included in the list of differential diagnoses in farm animals with nervous system symptoms. Abstract Background: The production of biofuels has caused an increase in the prices of agricultural commodities. Thus, the ecological footprint, social inclusion and profitability of production systems have encouraged the use of agro-industrial products as an alternative in ruminant feeds. Objective: To evaluate carcass yields, non-carcass components, and the economic viability of including licuri oil in diet of Santa Ines ewes. Methods: A total of 32 Santa Ines ewes (multiparous, non-lactating, 2-4 years old, and 36.7±0.87 kg of body weight-BW) were allotted to a randomized block design with four treatments (diets containing 0, 2, 4 or 5% licuri oil) with eight replicates per treatment, and confined for 77 days. Results: The incremental inclusion of licuri oil promoted a quadratic response on slaughter BW, carcass and true yields, chest widths, heart fat, pancreas, omental fat, and ribeye area (p<0.05). Carcass, heart and loin weight, shank yield, fat thickness and loin fat were reduced (p<0.05); while cooling losses, left half-carcass weight, saw blade yield, and proportion of meat in the loin increased (p<0.05) with increasing dietary levels of licuri oil. The control diet resulted in the best gross revenue (USD$609.39); however, there was a loss (USD$50.96) regarding economic performance indicators. Conclusion: The use of up to 2% licuri oil in the diet increased carcass yield of discard ewes.

Por lo tanto, la huella ecológica, la inclusión social y la rentabilidad de los sistemas productivos han incentivado la busqueda de productos agroindustriales como alternativa para la alimentación de rumiantes. Objetivo: Evaluar el rendimiento en canal, los componentes ajenos a la canal, y la viabilidad económica de incluir aceite de licuri en dietas para ovejas de raza Santa Ines. Métodos: Un total de 32 ovejas Santa Ines (multíparas, no lactantes, de 2 a 4 años y de 36,7±0,87 kg de peso corporal-PC) fueron asignadas a un diseño de bloques al azar con cuatro tratamientos (dieta basal adicionada con 0, 2, 4 o 5% de aceite de licuri) con ocho repeticiones por tratamiento, y confinadas por 77 días. Resultados: Los niveles incrementales de aceite de licuri tuvieron un efecto cuadrático sobre el PC al sacrificio, el rendimiento real y de la canal, el ancho del pecho, la grasa del corazón, el páncreas, la grasa del epiplón y el área del ojo del lomo (p<0,05). Se redujo (p<0,05) el peso de la canal, el corazón y el lomo, el rendimiento del jarrete, el grosor de la grasa y la grasa del lomo; y aumentaron las pérdidas por enfriamiento, el peso de media canal restante, el rendimiento de la hoja de sierra y la proporción de carne en el lomo (p<0,05) con niveles incrementales de aceite de licuri. La dieta control resultó en el mejor ingreso bruto (USD$609,39); sin embargo, hubo una pérdida (USD$50,96) en los indicadores de desempeño económico. Conclusión: El uso de hasta un 2% de aceite de licuri en la dieta incrementa el rendimiento en canal de las ovejas de descarte.

Assim, a pegada ecológica, a inclusão social e a rentabilidade do sistema de produção têm incentivado o uso de produtos agroindustriais como alternativa alimentar para ruminantes. Objetivo: Avaliar os rendimentos de carcaça, componentes não carcaça e a viabilidade econômica da inclusão do óleo de licuri em dietas para ovelhas Santa Inês. Métodos: Um total de 32 ovelhas Santa Inês (multíparas, não lactantes, 2-4 anos e 36,7±0,87 kg de peso corporal-PC) foram distribuídas em delineamento em blocos casualizados com 4 tratamentos (dietas contendo óleo de licuri a 0, 2, 4 e 5% de matéria seca) com 8 repetições por tratamento e confinadas por 77 dias. Resultados: A inclusão de óleo de licuri promoveu efeito quadrático no PC de abate, rendimentos de carcaça e verdadeiros, largura de peito, gordura do coração, pâncreas, gordura omental e área de olho de lombo (p<0,05). Os pesos de carcaça, coração e lombo, rendimento de pernil, espessura de gordura e gordura do lombo foram reduzidos (p<0,05), e as perdas por resfriamento, peso de meia carcaça esquerda, rendimento de lâmina de serra e proporção de carne no lombo aumentaram (p<0,05) com um aumento nos níveis de óleo de licuri. A dieta controle resultou na melhor receita bruta (USD$609,39); no entanto, houve uma perda (USD$50,96) em relação aos indicadores de desempenho econômico. Resumo Introdução: O perfil epidemiológico da osteodistrofia renal (OR) está mudando com o tempo e estudos transversais fornecem informações essenciais para melhorar cuidados e políticas de saúde. O Registro Brasileiro de Biópsia Óssea (REBRABO) é uma coorte nacional multicêntrica prospectiva que inclui pacientes com doença renal crônica (DRC) submetidos à biópsia óssea. O REBRABO visa fornecer informações clínicas sobre OR. O principal objetivo desta subanálise foi descrever o perfil da OR, incluindo associações clinicamente relevantes. Métodos: De Ago/2015 a Dez/2021, 511 pacientes com DRC que realizaram biópsia óssea foram incluídos na plataforma REBRABO. Excluíram-se os pacientes sem laudo de biópsia óssea (N = 40), TFG > 90 mL/min (N = 28), sem consentimento assinado (N = 24), fragmentos ósseos inadequados para diagnóstico (N = 23), biópsia óssea indicada por especialidade que não a nefrologia (N = 6), e < 18 anos de idade (N = 4). Foram analisados dados clínico-demográficos (por exemplo, idade, sexo, etnia, etiologia da DRC, tempo da diálise, comorbidades, sintomas e complicações relacionadas à OR), laboratoriais (níveis séricos de cálcio total, fosfato, paratormônio, fosfatase alcalina, 25-hidroxivitamina D e hemoglobina), e OR (diagnóstico histológico). Resultados: Dados de 386 indivíduos foram considerados nesta subanálise do REBRABO. A idade média foi 52 (42-60) anos; 198 (51%) eram homens; 315 (82%) estavam em hemodiálise. Osteíte fibrosa (OF) [163 (42%)], doença óssea adinâmica (DOA) [96 (25%)] e osteodistrofia urêmica mista (OUM) [83 (21%)] foram os diagnósticos mais frequentes de OR na amostra; 203 (54%) apresentaram diagnóstico de osteoporose, 82 (56%) calcificação vascular; 138 (36%) acúmulo ósseo de alumínio, e 137 (36%) intoxicação por ferro; pacientes com remodelação óssea aumentada eram propensos a apresentar maior frequencia de sintomas. Conclusões: Uma alta proporção de pacientes foi diagnosticada com OF e DOA, assim como osteoporose, calcificação vascular e sintomas clínicos. Abstract Introduction: The epidemiologic profile of renal osteodystrophy (ROD) is changing over time and cross-sectional studies provide essential information to improve care and health policies. The Brazilian Registry of Bone Biopsy (REBRABO) is a prospective, nationalmulticenter cohort that includes patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing bone biopsy. Patients with no bone biopsy report (N = 40), GFR > 90 mL/min (N = 28), without asigned consent (N = 24), bone fragments inadequate for diagnosis (N = 23), bone biopsy indicated by a specialty other than nephrology (N = 6), and < 18 years old (N = 4) were excluded. Clinical-demographic data (e.g., age, sex, ethnicity, CKD etiology, dialysis vintage, comorbidities, symptoms, and complications related to ROD), laboratory (e.g., serum levels of total calcium, phosphate, parathormone, alkaline phosphatase, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, and hemoglobin), and ROD (e.g., histological diagnosis) were analyzed. Results: Data from 386 individuals were considered in this subanalysis of REBRABO. Mean age was 52 (42–60) years; 198 (51%) were male; 315 (82%) were on hemodialysis. Osteitis fibrosa (OF) [163 (42%)], adynamic bone disease (ABD) [96 (25%)] and mixed uremic osteodystrophy (MUO) [83 (21%)] were the most frequent diagnosis of ROD in our sample; 203 (54%) had the diagnosis of osteoporosis, 82 (56%) vascular calcification; 138 (36%) bone aluminum accumulation, and 137 (36%) iron intoxication; patients with high turnover were prone to present a higher frequency of symptoms. Conclusions: A high proportion of patients were diagnosed with OF and ABD, as well as osteoporosis, vascular calcification and clinical symptoms. Resumo O objetivo foi analisar os fatores associados ao uso dos serviços odontológicos no Brasil. A estratégia de revisão incluiu as bases PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, BBO, EMBASE, Scopus, WOS e Google Scholar, além de repositórios e bancos de dissertações e teses. Os estudos foram selecionados usando a estratégia PEO (população/exposição/desfechos). O desfecho deste estudo foi o uso dos serviços odontológicos no último ano pela população brasileira, tratado como variáveis dicotômicas para as análises: ≤ 1 ano e > 1 ano. Foi realizada uma metanálise de efeito randômico de Mantel-Haenszel, estimando-se razões de prevalência (RP) e intervalos de confiança de 95% (IC95%). Foram selecionados 94 estudos. A maioria (98%) tinha delineamento transversal, sendo 63% oriundos de dados primários. Para a metanálise, 25 estudos foram incluídos. O uso dos serviços odontológicos no último ano esteve associado com maior escolaridade (≥ 8 anos de estudo) (RP = 0,49, (IC95%: 0,39-0,60)); maior renda familiar (≥ 2 salários-mínimos) (RP = 0,79, (IC95%: 0,74-0,84)); e residir na zona urbana (RP = 0,79, (IC95%: 0,64-0,97)). Abstract The scope of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the use of dental services in Brazil. The review strategy included PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, BBO, EMBASE, Scopus, WOS and Google Scholar databases, in addition to repositories and databases of dissertations and theses. Studies were selected using the PEO (Population/Exposure/Outcomes) strategy. The outcome of this study was the use of dental services in the last year by the Brazilian population, treated as dichotomous variables for the following analyses: ≤ 1 year and > 1 year. Mantel-Haenszel random effect meta-analysis was performed, estimating Prevalence Ratios (PR) and 95% confidence intervals (95%CI). A total of 94 studies were selected. The majority (98%) had a cross-sectional design, with 63% derived from primary data. For the meta-analysis, 25 studies were included. The use of oral health services in the last year was associated with higher education (≥ 8 years of schooling) (PR = 0.49, (95%CI: 0.39-0.60)); higher family income (≥ 2 minimum wages) (RP = 0.79, (95%CI: 0.74-0.84)); and living in urban areas (RP = 0.79, (95%CI: 0.64-0.97)). The availability of dental services in the Unified Health System needs to be made readily accessible to people with lower income, less education and those living in rural areas. Resumo Introdução A Terapia Ocupacional atua na Atenção Básica em saúde e por meio do Núcleo de Apoio à Saúde da Família (Nasf), contribuindo com a integralidade no acompanhamento à saúde da população atendida pelo SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde). Entre as pessoas atendidas, encontram-se as mulheres no puerpério, período entre o parto e até seis e oito semanas seguintes, marcado por diversas mudanças para quem o vivencia. Objetivo Investigar a atuação das terapeutas ocupacionais com puérperas nas ações da Atenção Básica em Saúde no Nasf do Recife-PE. Método Estudo qualitativo de natureza exploratória, realizado entre abril e maio/2022, com oito terapeutas ocupacionais que trabalham no Nasf do Recife-PE. Como instrumento da pesquisa, utilizou-se um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada e para análise a técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados As profissionais relatam que a equipe Nasf apresenta defasagem na atuação com as puérperas por desconhecimento das possibilidades desta assistência por parte das Equipes de Saúde da Família. Apesar disso, realizam ações voltadas ao campo de atuação e ao núcleo de conhecimento da Terapia Ocupacional. Entre essas ações, estão as visitas domiciliares, atendimento individual e compartilhado, atendimento em grupos, apoio à amamentação, orientações às puérperas e à rede de apoio, atenção à saúde mental, orientações e retomada de papéis ocupacionais, estruturação de rotina e orientação ou apoio às atividades diárias. Abstract Introduction Occupational Therapy works in Primary Care through the Family Health Support Center, collaborating to promote comprehensive health monitoring for the population served by SUS. Among the people assisted are women in the puerperium, the period between childbirth until the next six and eight weeks is marked by several changes for those who experience it. Objective To investigate the role of occupational therapists with postpartum women in Primary Care actions at Family Health Support Center in Recife-PE. Method A qualitative exploratory study, carried out between April and May 2022, with eight occupational therapists working in Recife-PE. As a research instrument, a semi-structured interview script was produced. For analysis, the Collective Subject Discourse technique was used. Results The professionals report difficulties to work as a team with postpartum women due to the lack of knowledge of the possibilities of assistance on the part of the Family Health Teams. Despite this, they carry out several actions aimed at the field of action and the core of knowledge of Occupational Therapy. Among the actions carried out are home visits, individual and shared care, group care, breastfeeding support, guidance to postpartum women and support network, mental health care, guidance and resumption of occupational roles, routine structuring and guidance or support for daily activities. RESUMO Objetivo: Descrever a qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde em crianças com paralisia cerebral associada à infecção congênita pelo zika. Métodos: Estudo transversal de série consecutiva de casos de crianças acompanhadas em uma rede multicêntrica de reabilitação no Brasil. Convidamos o(s) cuidador(es) a responder à versão brasileira do Caregiver Priorities & Child Health Index of Life with Disabilities (CPCHILDTM). A análise estatística foi realizada com o pacote estatístico Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0™. Para variáveis categóricas, foram utilizadas frequências absolutas e relativas e, para variáveis contínuas, média e desvio padrão. Resultados: Cento e noventa e três crianças, com idade média de 50,3±7,6 meses, foram incluídas. Observou-se predomínio de crianças com paralisia cerebral Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) nível V (93,7%). Epilepsia (88,4%) foi a comorbidade mais comum. As pontuações médias do CPCHILDTM foram: atividades de vida diária/cuidados pessoais 43,2±12,6; posicionamento, transferência e mobilidade 33,7±16,5; conforto e emoções 84,4±15,2; comunicação e interação social 48,2±24,3; saúde 70,9±17,1; e qualidade de vida geral 72,1±17,1. A pontuação total foi 54,8±11,3. Conclusões: Entre as crianças com paralisia cerebral relacionada à síndrome do zika congênita, as atividades de posicionamento, transferência e mobilidade tiveram maior impacto na qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde, semelhantemente a outras etiologias de paralisia cerebral. Abstract Objective: To describe the health-related quality of life (QOL) in children with cerebral palsy (CP) associated with congenital Zika infection. Methods: Cross-sectional study of a consecutive series of children, followed in a referral multicentric rehabilitation network in Brazil. We invited the caregivers to respond to the Brazilian version of the Caregiver Priorities & Child Health Index of Life with Disabilities (CPCHILDTM) questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0™. We used absolute and relative frequencies for categorical variables and mean and standard deviation for continuous variables. Results: The sample consisted of 193 children, at mean age of 50.3±7.6 months. We observed a predominance of children with cerebral palsy (CP) with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) level V (93.7%). Epilepsy (88.4%) was the most common comorbidity. CPCHILDTM mean scores were activities of daily living (ADL)/personal care 43.2±12.6; positioning, transferring and mobility 33.7±16.5; comfort and emotions 84.4±15.2; communication and social interaction (CoSI) 48.2±24.3; health 70.9±17.1; and overall quality of life (OQOL) 72.1±17.1. Total score was 54.8±11.3. Conclusions: Among children with cerebral palsy (CP) related to congenital Zika syndrome, the quality of life (QOL) scores were very similar to other populations with cerebral palsy (CP). The activities of positioning, transferring and mobility had the greatest impact on health-related quality of life (QOL). Rehabilitation strategies and public policies should prioritize aspects related to mobility for this population. ABSTRACT The Caatinga biome in Brazil comprises the largest and most continuous expanse of the seasonally dry tropical forest (SDTF) worldwide; nevertheless, it is among the most threatened and least studied, despite its ecological and biogeographical importance. The spatial distribution of volumetric wood stocks in the Caatinga and the relationship with environmental factors remain unknown. Therefore, this study intends to quantify and analyze the spatial distribution of wood volume as a function of environmental variables in Caatinga vegetation in Bahia State, Brazil. Volumetric estimates were obtained at the plot and fragment level. The multiple linear regression techniques were adopted, using environmental variables in the area as predictors. Spatial modeling was performed using the geostatistical kriging approach with the model residuals. The model developed presented a reasonable fit for the volume m3 ha with r2 of 0.54 and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 10.9 m3 ha–1. The kriging of ordinary residuals suggested low error estimates in unsampled locations and balance in the under and overestimates of the model. The regression kriging approach provided greater detailing of the global wood volume stock map, yielding volume estimates that ranged from 0.01 to 109 m3 ha–1. Elevation, mean annual temperature, and precipitation of the driest month are strong environmental predictors for volume estimation. Resumo Investigar o impacto dos programas de tranferência de renda (CTs) nos desfechos ao nascer, incluindo peso ao nascer, baixo peso ao nascer e prematuridade, e crescimento físico infantil, avaliado pelos índices antropométricos de crianças menores de cinco anos. Revisão sistemática realizada nas bases de dados PubMed/Medline, Embase, LILACS, Cochrane Library, Scopus e Web of Science. Foram incluídos estudos quantitativos observacionais, experimentais e quasi-experimentais, com um total de 11 estudos na revisão. A maioria (81,8%) foi realizada em países de baixa e média rendas. Também na modalidade CT condicionais (63,6%). Quatro eram ensaios clínicos, e sete observacionais. Os CT condicionais estiveram associados a uma redução nos índices de altura-para-idade (-0,14; IC95% -0,27, -0,02); (OR 0,85; IC95% 0,77-0,94); (OR = 0,44; IC95% 0,19-0,98), redução significativa na chance de baixo peso-para-idade (OR = 0,16; IC95% -0,11-0,43), baixo peso-para-altura (OR = -0,68; IC95% -1,14, -0,21), e redução de peso para idade (OR = 0,27; IC95% 0,10; 0,71). Abstract To investigate the impact of cash transfer (CTs) on birth outcomes, including birth weight, low birth weight and prematurity, as well as child physical growth were included, as assessed by anthropometric indices in children under five years of age. Searching was performed using the PubMed/Medline, Embase, LILACS, Cochrane Library, Scopus and Web of Science databases. Quantitative observational, experimental and quasi-experimental. Eleven studies were included in the review. The majority (81.8%) were carried out in low-and middle-income countries and most involved conditional CTs (63.6%). Four were clinical trials and seven were observational studies. Conditional CTs were found to be associated with a reduction in height-for-age (-0.14; 95%CI -0.27, -0.02); (OR 0.85; 95%CI 0.77-0.94); (OR = 0.44; 95%CI 0.19-0.98), a significantly reduced chance of low weight-for-age (OR = 0.16; 95%CI -0.11-0.43), low weight-for-height (OR = -0.68; 95%CI -1.14, -0.21), and low weight-for-age (OR = 0.27; 95%CI 0.10; 0.71). Unconditional CTs were associated with reduced birth weight (RR = 0.71; 95%CI 0.63-0.81; p < 0.0001) and preterm births (RR = 0.76; 95%CI 0.69-0.84; p < 0.0001). Conditional CTs can positively influence birth outcomes and child growth. Resumo Neste trabalho apresentamos as dificuldades e aprendizagens de pedagogos em formação inicial que participaram de um minicurso sobre Astronomia e Astrobiologia, na perspectiva da Educação por meio das questões sociocientíficas e o conceito de dialogicidade de Paulo Freire. Consideramos que esta pesquisa possui abordagem qualitativa, e os métodos de obtenção dos dados foram as gravações das aulas e os planos de aula elaborados pelas participantes. A análise de conteúdo realizada a partir dos conceitos teóricos trabalhados e dos dados obtidos proporcionou a criação de três dimensões: Conteúdo, Dialogicidade e Questão Sociocientífica. Os resultados apontam, principalmente, para a importância de oportunizar uma formação crítica em Ciências que incentive a dialogicidade, a autonomia de pensamento e a reflexão sobre temas científicos controversos a pedagogos em formação. Abstract In this paper, we present the challenges and lessons learned by pedagogues in their initial training who took part in a mini-course on Astronomy and Astrobiology, from the perspective of Education through socio-scientific issues and Paulo Freire’s dialogic theory. We believe that research takes a qualitative approach, with data collected through class recordings and lesson plans developed by participants. The content analysis performed on the theoretical concepts worked and the data obtained resulted in the development of three dimensions: content, dialogicity and socio-scientific question.
