ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the factors associated with the fear of dental students infecting their relatives with COVID-19 as a result of clinical practice. Material and Methods: Online questionnaires were sent by e-mail and social media to dental students from a Brazilian School of Dentistry. The outcome was "fear of infecting the family." The independent variables were sociodemographic data, personal protective equipment use, adoption of infection control measures, and knowledge and feelings about the pandemic and the future of Dentistry. Data analysis used Pearson's Chi-square and Fisher's exact tests (p≤0.05). Results: With 65 participants, the prevalence of fear was 61.5%. Measures to prevent COVID-19, such as frequent hand cleansing (p=0.028) and avoiding the use of aerosol-generating instruments (p=0.027), not having or not knowing if they have been infected by the disease (p=0.038), and feelings of more significant anxiety during the pandemic period (p=0.047), and that Dentistry will undergo major post-pandemic changes (p=0.020) were associated with fear. Conclusion: Changes in behavior about biosafety and feelings of anxiety and uncertainty about the disease were associated with the dental students' fear of infecting their relatives with COVID-19 as a result of clinical practice. ABSTRACT Zinnia sp. and hairy beggartick (Bidens pilosa) plants exhibiting symptoms of possible virus infection were found in the municipality of Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, São Paulo State, Brazil. Flexuous filamentous particles and cytoplasmatic inclusions typical of potyvirus infection were observed by transmission electron microscopy, respectively, in leaf extracts and cells of symptomatic leaves. Infection of both plants with bidens mottle virus (BiMoV) was confirmed by RT-PCR using potyvirus universal primers, followed by nucleotide sequencing of the amplicons. The nearly complete genome sequence of the Brazilian isolate, named BiMoV-BR, is 9700 nucleotides long and shares 95.6 % identity with the corresponding nucleotide sequence of a BiMoV isolate from the United States. BiMoV-BR was mechanically transmitted and caused systemic infection on plants of Zinnia sp., hairy beggarstick, sunflower (Helianthus annuus), and lettuce (Lactuca sativa). Myzus persicae transmitted the virus to Zinnia sp. plants with efficacy of 8 % and 42 %, using one and ten aphids per plant, respectively. This is the first detection of BiMoV in Brazil. RESUMO OBJETIVO Apresentar os resultados da análise de custos para a modalidade de consulta remota (teleconsulta) em comparação à consulta presencial, em pacientes com diabetes do tipo 2, no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) brasileiro, na cidade Joinville, Santa Catarina. Para além dos custos, sob a perspectiva do gestor local, o artigo também apresenta estimativas sob perspectiva do paciente, a partir dos custos de transporte associados a cada modalidade de consulta. MÉTODO Foram coletados dados de 246 consultas, remotas e presenciais, entre 2021 e 2023, no contexto de um ensaio clínico randomizado sobre o impacto da teleconsulta realizado na cidade de Joinville, SC. As teleconsultas foram realizadas em Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) e as consultas presenciais no Centro de Saúde Especializada. Para o cálculo dos custos, foi utilizado o método de custos baseado em tempo e atividade (TDABC) e, para o cálculo dos custos relativos aos transportes dos pacientes, foram coletados dados diretamente com os participantes da pesquisa. Foram analisados e comparados descritivamente os custos médios e o tempo de realização de cada modalidade de consulta em diferentes cenários e perspectivas. RESULTADOS Considerando apenas a perspectiva do gestor local do SUS, os custos para a realização da teleconsulta se mostraram 4,5% maiores do que para uma consulta presencial. Contudo, quando considerados os custos de transporte associados a cada paciente, o valor estimado da consulta presencial passa a ser 7,7% maior e, no caso de consultas em outros municípios, 15% maior do que a teleconsulta. CONCLUSÃO Os resultados demonstram que a incorporação da teleconsulta dentro do SUS pode trazer vantagens econômicas, a depender da perspectiva e do cenário considerado, além de ser uma estratégia com potencial para aumentar o acesso à atenção especializada na rede pública.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To present the results of a cost analysis of remote consultations (teleconsultations) compared to in-person consultations for patients with type 2 diabetes, in the Brazilian public healthcare system (SUS) in the city of Joinville, Santa Catarina (SC). In addition to the costs from the local manager’s perspective, the article also presents estimates from the patient’s perspective, based on the transportation costs associated with each type of consultation. METHOD Data were collected from 246 consultations, both remote and in-person, between 2021 and 2023, in the context of a randomized clinical trial on the impact of teleconsultation carried out in the city of Joinville, SC. Teleconsultations were carried out at Primary Health Units (PHU) and in-person consultations at the Specialized Health Center. The consultation costs were calculate by the method time and activity-based costing (TDABC), and for the estimate of transportation costs data was collected directly from the research participants . The mean costs and time required to carry out each type of consultation in different scenarios and perspectives were analyzed and compared descriptively. RESULTS Considering only the local SUS manager’s perspective, the costs for carrying out a teleconsultation were 4.5% higher than for an in-person consultation. However, when considering the transportation costs associated with each patient, the estimated value of the in-person consultation becomes 7.7% higher and, in the case of consultations in other municipalities, 15% higher than the teleconsultation. CONCLUSION The results demonstrate that the incorporation of teleconsultation within the SUS can bring economic advantages depending on the perspective and scenario considered, in addition to being a strategy with the potential to increase access to specialized care in the public network.

Resumo A deficiência de Zinco (Zn) atinge um terço da população mundial, e a biofortificação agronômica é uma forma de combatê-la. A biofortificação de hortaliças folhosas tem sido impulsionada pelo seu consumo e, neste cenário, o cariru (Talinum triangulare) demonstra potencial para esses estudos. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar a eficiência da biofortificação agronômica de cariru com Zn aplicado via radicular. Para o experimento, foram utilizadas mudas obtidas com a propagação vegetativa por estaquia, cultivadas em uma mistura de areia e substrato comercial inicialmente em laboratório. Após aclimatação, as mudas foram transferidas para um viveiro, onde foram aplicados NPK e Zn, em seis tratamentos (fonte Sulfato de Zinco Heptahidratado, ZnSO4.7H2O), T1: testemunha; T2: 12.5 mg kg-1; T3: 25 mg kg-1; T4: 50 mg kg-1; T5: 100 mg kg-1; T6: 400 mg kg-1. Foram medidos o comprimento, número de folhas, brotações, inflorescências e diâmetro da coleção. A massa seca da folha (LDM), caule (SDM), raiz (RDM), razão raiz-parte aérea (R S-1), razão peso da folha (LWR), Índice de Qualidade de Dickson (DQI), níveis de Zn foliar e do solo, total proteínas e açúcares solúveis (TSS) foram analisados. A dose de 400 mg kg-1 proporcionou toxicidade às plantas, e a dose de 100 mg kg-1 demonstrou melhores resultados no crescimento e desenvolvimento das plantas, e teores de proteínas e zinco, com aumento de 4081% de Zn, indicando que é a dose mais efetiva a ser utilizada na biofortificação dessa espécie. Abstract Zinc (Zn) deficiency affects one-third of the world’s population, and agronomic biofortification is a good way to fight against this problem. Biofortification of leafy vegetables has been driven by their consumption, and, in this scenario, the waterleaf (Talinum triangulare) demonstrates good potential. Thus, this work aimed to verify the efficiency of agronomic biofortification of waterleaf with Zn applied via root. For the experiment, seedlings obtained with vegetative propagation by cuttings were used and cultivated in a mixture of sand and commercial substrate, initially in the laboratory. After acclimatization, the seedlings were transferred to a plant nursery, where NPK and Zn were applied, in six treatments (source Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate, ZnSO4.7H2O), T1: control; T2: 12.5 mg kg-1; T3: 25 mg kg-1; T4: 50 mg kg-1; T5: 100 mg kg-1; T6: 400 mg kg-1. The length, number of leaves, shoots, inflorescences, and diameter of the collection were measured. The leaf dry mass (LDM), stem (SDM), root (RDM), root-shoot ratio (R S-1), leaf weight ratio (LWR), Dickson’s Quality Index (DQI), leaf and soil Zn levels, total proteins and soluble sugars (TSS) were analyzed. The dose of 400 mg kg-1 provided toxicity to plants, and the dose of 100 mg kg-1 demonstrated better results in plant growth and development and contents of proteins and zinc, with an increase of 4081% of Zn, indicating which is the most effective dose to be used in the biofortification of this species. ABSTRACT Congenital heart disease (CHD) affects eight to ten out of every 1,000 births, resulting in approximately 23,057 new cases in Brazil in 2022. About one in four children with CHD requires surgery or other procedures in the first year of life, and it is expected that approximately 81% of these children with CHD will survive until at least 35 years of age. Professionals choosing to specialize in CHD surgery face numerous challenges, not only related to mastering surgical techniques and the complexity of the diseases but also to the lack of recognition by medical societies as a separate subspecialty. Furthermore, families face difficulties when access to services capable of providing treatment for these children. To address these challenges, it is essential to have specialized hospitals, qualified professionals, updated technologies, sustainable industry, appropriate financing, quality assessment systems, and knowledge generation. The path to excellence involves specialization across all involved parties. As we reflect on the importance of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery and Congenital Heart Diseases establishing themselves as a subspecialty of Cardiovascular Surgery, it is essential to look beyond our borders to countries like the United States of America and United Kingdom, where this evolution is already a reality. This autonomy has led to significant advancements in research, education, and patient care outcomes, establishing a care model. By following this path in Brazil, we not only align our practice with the highest international standards but also demonstrate our maturity and the ability to meet the specific needs of patients with CHD and those with acquired childhood heart disease. Resumo Objetivo: construir e validar o conteúdo de roteiros de vídeos educativos com enfoque na mudança de comportamento para o autocuidado de pessoas com diabetes. Estudo metodológico, ancorado no modelo transteórico da mudança de comportamento, desenvolvido entre setembro de 2021 e novembro de 2022, envolvendo duas etapas: procedimentos teóricos e procedimentos empíricos e analíticos. A validação foi feita por nove juízes na primeira rodada e seis na segunda. Na coleta de dados, utilizou-se uma escala tipo Likert dividida em nove critérios, posteriormente analisados com base no índice de validação de conteúdo (acima de 80%) e no teste binomial. Foram construídos quatro roteiros baseados nos seguintes tópicos: autoavaliação do comportamento, etapas do estágio de motivação para mudança, reflexões sobre comportamentos diários, adoção de hábitos saudáveis e recaídas no processo de mudança. Os conteúdos alcançaram índice de validação médio de 0,93 e 1,0 na primeira e segunda rodadas, respectivamente. Os roteiros construídos constituem ferramentas com potencial para subsidiar as ações de educação em saúde junto às pessoas com diabetes, com vistas a mudança de comportamento.

Abstract Objective: to build and validate the content of educational video scripts, focusing on behavioral changes for the self-care of people with diabetes. Method: this work was a methodological study, anchored in the transtheoretical model of behavioral change, developed between September 2021 and November 2022, involving two stages: theoretical procedures and empirical and analytical procedures. Validation was carried out by nine judges in the first round and six in the second. In data collection, a Likert-type scale was used, divided into nine criteria and subsequently analyzed based on the content validation index (above 80%) and binomial test. Results: four scripts were constructed based on the topics: self-assessment of behavior, stages of the motivation for change stage, reflections on daily behaviors, adoption of healthy habits, and relapses in the change process. The content achieved an average Validation Index of 0.93 and 1.0 in the first and second round, respectively. Conclusion: the scripts constructed constitute tools with the potential to support health education actions used with people with diabetes in an attempt to change behaviors.

Resumen Objetivo: construir y validar el contenido de guiones de vídeos educativos centrados en el cambio de comportamiento para el autocuidado de personas con diabetes. Método: estudio metodológico, anclado en el modelo transteórico de cambio de comportamiento, desarrollado entre septiembre de 2021 y noviembre de 2022, con dos etapas - procedimientos teóricos y procedimientos empíricos y analíticos. La validación fue realizada por nueve jueces en la primera ronda y seis en la segunda. Se utilizó una escala de tipo Likert dividida en nueve criterios para recoger los datos, que luego se analizaron a partir del índice de validación del contenido (superior al 80%) y de la prueba binomial. Resultados: se construyeron cuatro guiones basados en los temas: autoevaluación del comportamiento, etapas de la fase de motivación para el cambio, reflexiones sobre los comportamientos cotidianos, adopción de hábitos saludables y recaídas en el proceso de cambio. Los contenidos alcanzaron un índice medio de validación de 0,93 y 1,0 en la primera y segunda rondas, respectivamente. Conclusión: Los guiones desarrollados son herramientas con potencial para apoyar acciones de educación en salud a personas con diabetes con vistas a modificar su comportamiento.

Resumo Objetivo Validar o conteúdo e a aparência de um protocolo gráfico para avaliação do cuidado seguro de enfermagem a pacientes em hemodiálise. Método Estudo metodológico com abordagem quantitativa, organizado em três procedimentos: teóricos, a partir de uma scoping review; empíricos, na qual ocorreu processo de construção do protocolo gráfico e checklist para avaliação do cuidado seguro; por fim, os analíticos, para a validação propriamente dita com uso da técnica Delphi e participação de nove juízes especialistas em duas rodadas para o alcance da concordância. Resultados Elaboraram-se o checklist e o protocolo gráfico. Quanto à validade de conteúdo, em Delphi I, três critérios obtiveram Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo =0,77 no checklist. No que corresponde ao Delphi II, foram alcançados 80% em todos os itens referentes ao Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo, e todos os índices ficaram acima de 0,80. A validação de aparência ocorreu utilizando critérios de Suitability Assessment of Materials no Delphi I. Foi possível atingir um Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo total maior que 0,80 em todos, enquanto que, no Delphi II, os protocolos alcançaram concordância maior que 80% e Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo maior que 0,88, já que o checklist apresentou maior Coeficiente de Validade de Conteúdo com 0,91. Abstract Objective To validate the content and appearance of a graphic protocol for evaluating safe nursing care for hemodialysis patients. Methods Methodological study with a quantitative approach, organized into three procedures: theoretical from a Scoping Review; empirical in which the process of constructing the graphic protocol and checklist for the evaluation of safe care took place; finally, the analytics for the validation itself using the Delphi technique and the participation of nine expert judges in two rounds to reach agreement. Results The checklist and the graphic protocol were elaborated. As for content validity in Delphi I, three criteria obtained Content Validity Coefficient =0.77 in the checklist. Resumo O pé diabético corresponde a uma interação entre fatores anatômicos, vasculares e neurológicos que representam um desafio na prática clínica. O objetivo deste trabalho foi compilar as principais evidências científicas com base em uma revisão das principais diretrizes, além de artigos publicados nas plataformas Embase, Lilacs e PubMed. O sistema da Sociedade Européia de Cardiologia foi utilizado para desenvolver classes de recomendação e níveis de evidência. Abstract The diabetic foot interacts with anatomical, vascular, and neurological factors that challenge clinical practice. This study aimed to compile the primary scientific evidence based on a review of the main guidelines, in addition to articles published on the Embase, Lilacs, and PubMed platforms. ABSTRACT Currently in Brazil, large grain cultivation projects on Plinthosols are a reality, however, there is little or no knowledge of the real mechanism of formation of the plinthite feature, in addition to what is reported in the literature as being a product of oxidation-reduction processes of iron element. This study evaluates iron redoximorphic features and investigates their chemical and mineralogical composition in two profiles of Plinthosols from the Araguaia River plain (P1 and P2). The study strengthens the understanding of the pedogenetic processes involved in the formation of mottles and plinthite. In this sense, it assesses whether the formation mechanisms corroborate the literature. Soil features were sampled in the upper right and left position at the initial plinthic horizon, upper right and left position at the main plinthic horizon, and lower right position at the base horizon of the plinthite zone in the profile. Separated samples comprising the soil matrix, mottles, and plinthite under natural moisture conditions were ground into powder form for chemical determinations by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), sulfuric acid attack (H2SO4), sodium dithionite-citrate-bicarbonate (DCB), and ammonium acid oxalate; and mineralogical determinations by X-ray diffraction. Iron contents in all determined forms were always higher in the plinthite feature, intermediate in the mottle feature, and lower in the soil matrix feature. Most of the Fe in all redoximorphic features is included in the structure of primary minerals and their derivatives (vermiculite, illite, and VHEs). Only part of the iron present (about 35.40 % in P1 and 41.98 % in P2) is detected in the form of oxides such as goethite and hematite, which could be formed in redox processes. The mottle and plinthite features under study are not the product of the classic process of segregation, mobilization, and accumulation of iron as a consequence of redox processes. These features were formed or emerged as a result of a relatively slow and constant weathering process of their source material, which is gradually decomposed in an aqueous medium, releasing most of its components. These components include iron and more mobile elements such as bases and silicon, which leave the system through drainage water, and of which a small part may eventually recombine to form new less complex minerals such as kaolinite and oxides. ABSTRACT The benefits promoted by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) to forest species seedlings include higher growth rate, better nutrition, and higher survival rates. Inoculation with AMF may facilitate revegetation of degraded lands, although it depends on symbionts and environmental conditions, such as soil P availability. In this sense, the lack of information justifies the carrying out of studies of this nature. We investigated the dependence and responsiveness of two forest species native to the Atlantic Forest, Pseudobombax grandiflorum and Bauhinia forficata, to different AMF inocula (isolated AMF species, Dentiscutata heterogama, DH, Gigaspora margarita, GM, Rhizophagus clarus, RC, mixed inoculum with these former three AMF species, MI) compared to the uninoculated control (UC), combined with different P doses applied to the substrate (0, 24, 71, 213, and 650 mg kg-1), under greenhouse conditions. We evaluated root colonization, growth, and nutritional variables for Pseudobombax grandiflorum and Bauhinia forficata, 112 and 116 days after sowing with pre-germinated seeds, respectively. Native forest species exhibited different degrees of mycorrhizal dependence. The highest mycorrhizal dependence of P. grandiflorum seedlings was indicated by significant benefits, both growth and nutritional, promoted by innoculation treatments, under fertilization with the intermediate dose of P (213 mg kg-1). In fact, under this P dose, seedlings responded to a maximum increase in biomass in the GM treatment and maximum concentration of P and N in the shoots in the UC and DH treatments, respectively. The lowest mycorrhizal dependence of B. forficata seedlings was highlighted by significant growth benefits promoted by inoculation treatments under the lowest doses of P (24 or 71 mg kg-1). Under this P dose, we observed seedlings with maximum value of the root:shoot ratio in most of the types of inoculation and also higher values of biomass and height in the MI treatment. The responsiveness in terms of increase in growth and nutritional variables varied depending on the forest species, the dose of P applied to the substrate, and the AMF type of inoculum used. Root biomass and total dry biomass, mainly, should preferably be included in future studies with the same objective as the present study, as they were more relevant to point out the differences between treatments, in comparison with the variables associated with nutritional variables. RESUMO Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar as características físicas dos ovos de galinhas caipiras var. Suras. Foram analisados um total de 100 ovos, onde diversos parâmetros físicos, tais como pesagem do ovo inteiro, medição do diâmetro equatorial e altura do ovo, classificação da cor da casca, miragem para verificação da presença de fendas na casca, determinação da altura da câmara de ar, classificação da cor da gema, verificação da presença de manchas de carne e manchas de sangue, medição da largura e comprimento do albúmen, medição do diâmetro da gema, pesagem da gema, e pesagem da casca. Foram posteriormente determinados o peso do albúmen por diferença entre o peso do ovo e pesos da casca e gema, determinação percentual dos diferentes constituintes do ovo, shape index (índice de forma) e shell index (índice de casca). A análise estatística foi realizada pelo GLM programa SAS (SAS Institute). O resultado comparando as médias de cada parâmetro estudado demonstrou que os ovos da variedade Sura em ambas as classes comerciais (Grande e Pequenos), possuem formato mais arredondado, com casca marrom clara e gema mais alaranjada. Portanto, os parâmetros avaliados confirmam que os ovos provenientes de galinhas var. ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the physical characteristics of eggs from free-range hens of the Sura variety. One hundred eggs underwent assessment of various physical parameters, namely, whole egg weight, equatorial diameter, egg height, shell color, presence of cracks via candling, air chamber height, yolk color, presence of flesh and blood spots, albumen width and length, yolk diameter, yolk weight, and shell weight. Additional analyses included determining the albumen weight (calculated by subtracting the weights of the shell and yolk from the total egg weight), percentages of egg components, shape index, and shell index. Statistical analyses were conducted using GLM SAS software (SAS Institute). The results revealed distinct physical traits; eggs from the Sura variety, regardless of size class (large or small), typically have a more rounded shape, light brown shells, and more orange yolks. RESUMO: A hematúria enzoótica bovina (HEB) é uma forma clínica da intoxicação em bovinos causada pelo consumo de Pteridium sp. (samambaia) que não possui tratamento. Contudo, a suplementação utilizando selênio (Se) e vitamina E tem se mostrado viável. Objetivou-se avaliar os efeitos da suplementação com doses crescentes de selênio associado à vitamina E em bovinos com HEB, bem como, comparar os níveis de selênio em sangue total e soro sanguíneo, avaliar a atividade de glutationa peroxidase, os níveis de antioxidantes totais e a atividade relativa da enzima monoamina oxidase (MAO). Suplementou-se durante 13 semanas, por via parenteral, quatro grupos de bovinos com hematúria enzoótica (HEB), com doses crescentes de Se: Grupo controle, Grupo tratamento 1 (0,05mg/kg de Se), Grupo tratamento 2 (0,1mg/kg de Se) e Grupo tratamento 3 (0,2mg/kg de Se). Todos os grupos receberam em associação 500mg/animal de vitamina E. Quinzenalmente foram avaliadas as variáveis peso, intensidade de hematúria, hematócrito, proteína plasmática total, fibrinogênio plasmático, atividade sanguínea de glutationa peroxidase, níveis de antioxidantes totais, concentração sanguíneas de selênio e atividade relativa de monoamina oxidase. Utilizou-se os testes Kruskal Wallis e Friedman (P<0,05), para avaliar os efeitos dos tratamentos e do tempo, respectivamente, ambos seguidos do teste de comparação múltipla de Dunn. Para as variáveis peso, antioxidantes totais e atividade relativa de monoamina oxidase não houve diferença entre os tratamentos (P>0,05) e houve diferença ao longo do tempo (P<0,05). Para hematúria e hematócrito, houve diferença entre os tratamentos (P<0,05) e não houve diferença ao longo do tempo (P>0,05). Para a variável glutationa peroxidase, não houve diferença significativa entre os tratamentos (P>0,05), porém houve diferença entre os momentos M8 e M14, no Grupo tratamento 3 (P<0,05). Para proteína plasmática total e fibrinogênio não houve diferenças entre os tratamentos e nem ao longo do tempo (P>0,05). Os níveis de Se foram maiores no Grupo tratamento 1 atingindo a maior concentração no momento M8 no soro sanguíneo (235,3µg/L). Portanto, a suplementação com selênio na dose de 0,05mg/kg associada à vitamina E melhorou o quadro clínico de hematúria, mas não interferiu na atividade da glutationa peroxidase e nos níveis de antioxidantes totais. A atividade da monoamina oxidase foi reduzida globalmente pela suplementação de vitamina E. Estes resultados indicam que o soro foi o melhor local para medir o selênio. ABSTRACT: Bovine enzootic hematuria (BEH) is a clinical form of poisoning in cattle caused by the consumption of Pteridium spp. (bracken fern), which has no treatment. However, selenium (Se) and vitamin E supplementation are feasible. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of supplementation with increasing doses of selenium associated with vitamin E in cattle with BEH, compare the levels of Se in whole blood and blood serum, and evaluate the activity of glutathione peroxidase, total antioxidants, and the relative activity of the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAO). Four groups of cattle with BEH were supplemented parenterally for 13 weeks with increasing doses of Se: Control group, Treatment group 1 (0.05mg/kg), Treatment group 2 (0.1mg/kg), and Treatment group 3 (0.2mg/kg). All groups received 500mg of vitamin E in combination with the Se supplementation. The measured variables included weight, hematuria intensity, hematocrit, total plasma protein, plasma fibrinogen, blood glutathione peroxidase activity, and total antioxidant levels. The blood concentrations of Se and relative MAO activity were evaluated every two weeks. Kruskal-Wallis and Friedman tests (P<0.05) were used to assess treatment and time effects, respectively, followed by Dunn’s multiple comparison test. For weight, total antioxidant concentration, and relative MAO, there was no significant difference (P>0.05) between the treatments, but there was a significant difference over time (P<0.05). For hematuria and hematocrit, there were significant treatment differences (P<0.05) but no significant time differences (P>0.05). For glutathione peroxidase, there was no significant difference (P>0.05) among the treatments, but there was a significant difference (P<0.05) between treatments M8 and M14 in Treatment group 3. There were no differences in the total plasma protein and fibrinogen levels between treatments or over time (P>0.05). Selenium levels were higher in Treatment group 1, reaching the highest concentration (235.3µg/L) in the blood serum at eight weeks. Therefore, supplementation with Se at a dose of 0.05mg/kg associated with vitamin E improved the clinical condition of hematuria but did not interfere with glutathione peroxidase activity or with levels of total antioxidants. MAO activity was reduced by vitamin E supplementation. These results indicate that the serum is the best site for measuring Se levels. RESUMO Introdução: A implementação da Política Nacional de Saúde Integral de Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transexuais (PNSI-LGBTT) em 2011 e de outros marcos legais destaca a importância da inclusão da identidade de gênero e da orientação sexual na formação em saúde. Objetivo: Nesse contexto, o presente estudo tem como objetivo apresentar a presença da diversidade sexual e de gênero nas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCN) dos cursos de graduação em saúde. Método: A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de documentos de acesso público disponíveis no site do MEC. Examinaram-se 22 DCN estabelecidas nas últimas duas décadas, com foco nos registros de direitos humanos, identidade de gênero e orientação sexual. Resultado: Houve um aumento progressivo na inclusão das minorias sexuais nas DCN ao longo das duas últimas décadas, sobretudo nos últimos dez anos. Destaca-se um notável crescimento nos registros de direitos humanos, identidade de gênero e orientação sexual, refletindo uma mudança significativa no panorama das DCN. Conclusão: Os resultados evidenciam uma tendência positiva de inclusão de temas relacionados à diversidade sexual e de gênero nas DCN da área da saúde. Esse avanço sugere maior conscientização e reconhecimento da importância de uma formação inclusiva para profissionais de saúde, promovendo a equidade e a justiça social. ABSTRACT Introduction: The implementation of the National Policy for Comprehensive Health for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals (PNSI-LGBTT) in 2011, together with other legal frameworks, highlights the importance of including Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation in health training. In this context, the present study aims to demonstrate the presence of sexual and gender diversity in the National Curricular Guidelines (DCN) of undergraduate health courses. Method: Data collection was carried out through publicly accessible documents available on the MEC website. Twenty-two DCNs established in the last two decades were assessed, focusing on records of Human Rights, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation. Results: There has been a progressive increase in the inclusion of sexual minorities in the DCNs over the last two decades, especially in the last ten years. A notable growth in records of Human Rights, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation stands out, reflecting a significant change in the panorama of curricular guidelines. Discussion: The results show a positive trend towards the inclusion of topics related to sexual and gender diversity in the DCNs in the health area. This advance suggests greater awareness and recognition of the importance of inclusive training for health professionals, promoting equity and social justice.
