Resumen En Brasil, el Valle del Río San Francisco es reconocido como un importante productor de melón bajo riego. Ante el estrés causado por el cambio climático, es crucial emplear nuevas estrategias de gestión del cultivo para garantizar su sostenibilidad. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar las características del melón bajo déficit de riego controlado (RDI) y la aplicación de bioestimulantes. El experimento se realizó en parcelas subsubdivididas. Las parcelas representaron diferentes niveles de agua: riego completo (100% de disponibilidad de agua del suelo - SWA) y niveles de déficit (80, 60 y 40% SWA). La subparcela consideró el uso de bioestimulante (con y sin), mientras que la subsubparcela abarcó los períodos de recolección: tiempo I (17 días después de la siembra - DDS hasta 26 DDS), tiempo II (27 a 36 DDS) y tiempo III (37 a 46 DDS). Las variables analizadas fueron el intercambio gaseoso. El melón mostró ser afectado por la restricción hídrica; no obstante, ciertas carac terísticas fisiológicas mostraron ser más tolerantes, exhibiendo una respuesta adaptativa atenuada. Específicamente, la aplicación de déficit hídrico moderado (80% SWA), indepen dientemente de la estación evaluada, permitió un mayor rendimiento en la eficiencia del uso del agua (UEU). Sin embargo, el bioestimulante no demostró ser eficiente para promover ajustes en el intercambio gaseoso.

Abstract The São Francisco River Valley region in Brazil is a major producer of irrigated melons, facing stresses due to climate change. New strategies for crop management are essential to maintain sustainable cultivation. This study aims to evaluate the characteristics of melons under controlled irrigation deficit (RDI) and the use of a biostimulant. The experiment followed a completely randomized design with sub-subdivided plots. The main plots represented water levels: full irrigation (100% soil water availability - SWA) and deficit levels (80%, 60%, and 40% SWA). The subplots represented biostimulant application (with and without), and the sub-subplots represented collection periods: time I (17 to 26 days after planting - DAP), time II (27 to 36 DAP), and time III (37 to 46 DAP). The variable analyzed was gas exchange. Water restriction affects melons; however, some physiological characteristics show greater tolerance, demonstrating an adaptive response to moderate water deficit (80% SWA), regardless of the evaluation period. This allows for better water use efficiency. The biostimulant applied was not effective in promoting adjustments in the evaluated gas exchanges.

RESUMO A utilização de mudas enxertadas e tolerantes ao alumínio pode ser uma estratégia para viabilizar o cultivo do cajueiro-anão (Anacardium occidentale L.) em regiões com predomínio de solos com reação ácida e altas concentrações de alumínio trocável. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar a influência da enxertia em genótipos de cajueiro-anão cultivados na presença de alumínio. Para isso, o delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 3 × 2 × 2, com mudas de cajueiro-anão de três genótipos (‘CCP 06’, ‘CCP 09’, e ‘CCP 76’) e dois tipos de muda (pé-franco e auto-enxertada), cultivadas na ausência e presença de alumínio (30 mg L-1), com seis repetições. Cento e dez dias após o início da aplicação do alumínio as plantas foram avaliadas quanto ao crescimento, matéria seca e acúmulo de nutrientes e alumínio (na parte aérea e nas raízes). O alumínio causou reduções na altura (25,8%), diâmetro do caule (6,7%), número de folhas (43,3%), área foliar (46,3%), massa seca do caule (29,8%) e massa seca da parte aérea (37,0%) do cajueiro-anão. A aplicação de 30 mg L-1 de alumínio incrementou o acúmulo do Al nas raízes e, como consequência, reduziu o de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Cu, Fe e Zn na parte aérea e nas raízes. ABSTRACT Using grafted and aluminum (Al) tolerant seedlings can be a strategy to enable the cultivation of dwarf cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) in regions with predominance of soils with acidic reaction and high concentrations of exchangeable Al. In this context, the objective was to evaluate the influence of grafting on dwarf cashew genotypes cultivated in the presence of Al. For this, the experimental design was completely randomized in a 3 × 2 × 2 factorial scheme, with seedlings of three dwarf cashew genotypes (‘CCP 06’, ‘CCP 09’, and ‘CCP 76’) and two types of seedlings (ungrafted and self-grafted), cultivated in the absence and presence of Al (30 mg L-1), with six replicates. Abstract The choice of this theme was based on a concern that arose from the search for scientific journals with an impact factor in the field of Social Work. The objective of this work is to argue, based on the analysis of six articles chosen by title, some dilemmas that arose in relation to the object of study of Social Work, the scientific method used and the epistemological obstacles they face. In methodological terms, a scientific trial was carried out. It is important to highlight that an essay is characterized as a logical and reflective exposition based on argumentation and personal interpretation and does not present the classic pattern of a scientific article (objectives, literature review, method, discussion, final considerations). The topic will not be explored exhaustively, especially because the number of articles analyzed does not provide sufficient data for an in-depth analysis, and there are most likely other causes beyond the object, the method and the epistemological obstacles in the construction of the scientificity of Social Work. The analysis showed some methodological inconsistencies in three of the articles studied. It is possible that in the field of Social Work there is a predominance of the Bachelardian conservative instinct in relation to the Marxian method, which may be hindering its development as a science. In this scientific theoretical essay, our intention was to reflect on a topic and we did not seek answers, but rather led the reader to deep reflection.

Resumo A escolha desse tema recaiu sobre uma inquietação que surgiu a partir da procura por periódicos científicos com fator de impacto no campo do Serviço Social. O objetivo desse trabalho é argumentar, a partir da análise de seis artigos escolhidos pelos títulos, alguns dilemas que surgiram em relação ao objeto de estudo do Serviço Social, ao método científico utilizado e aos obstáculos epistemológicos com os quais os mesmos se defrontam. Em termos metodológicos, foi realizado um ensaio científico. É importante salientar que um ensaio se caracteriza como uma exposição lógica e reflexiva fundamentada na argumentação e interpretação pessoal e não apresenta o padrão clássico de um artigo científico (objetivos, revisão de literatura, método, discussão, considerações finais). O tema não será explorado de maneira exaustiva, até porque o número de artigos analisados não fornece dados suficientes para uma análise profunda, sendo que muito provavelmente existem outras causas além do objeto, do método e dos obstáculos epistemológicos na construção da cientificidade do Serviço Social. A análise mostrou algumas inconsistências metodológicas em três dos artigos estudados. É possível que no campo do Serviço Social esteja havendo um predomínio do instinto conservativo bachelardiano em relação ao método marxiano, o que pode estar travando o seu desenvolvimento como ciência. Nesse ensaio teórico científico, nossa pretensão foi refletir sobre um tema e não procuramos respostas, e sim levar a uma reflexão profunda do leitor.

New technologies are being developed to minimize the damage caused by saline stress and improve crop performance. Therefore, the use of biostimulants in agriculture may offer an alternative method to mitigate the deleterious effects of salinity. RESUMO Diversas tecnologias vêm sendo implementadas para melhorar o desempenho das plantas em cultivos irrigados e uma delas é o uso de nanobioestimulantes. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi investigar os efeitos da aplicação de diferentes concentrações de bioestimulante à base de carbono na morfofisiologia de plantas de feijão-caupi submetidas a diferentes condutividades elétricas da água de irrigação. O experimento foi realizado em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em arranjo fatorial 2 × 6, com duas condutividades elétricas da água de irrigação (CEa: 0,35 e 4,0 dS m-1) e seis concentrações do nanobioestimulante aplicadas via foliar (0, 80, 160, 240, 320 e 400 mg L-1), com quatro repetições. ABSTRACT Several technologies have been implemented to improve plant performance in irrigated crops, and one of them is the use of nanobiostimulants. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to explore the effects of applying different concentrations of a carbon-based biostimulant on the morphophysiology of cowpea plants subjected to varying electrical conductivities of irrigation water. The experiment was performed in a completely randomized design, in a 2 × 6 factorial scheme, with two electrical conductivities of irrigation water (ECw: 0.35 and 4.0 dS m-1) and six concentrations of nanobiostimulant applied through the leaves (0, 80, 160, 240, 320, and 400 mg L-1), with four replications. Growth and gas exchange variables were evaluated 31 days after sowing (V9 stage). Concentrations between 240 and 320 mg L-1 of carbon-based nanobiostimulant promoted greater increases in growth and physiological variables, but they caused decreases in non-photochemical quenching. ABSTRACT The work was intended to evaluate the effect of different organic compounds originating from the mixture of agroindustrial and urban wastes, as well as their doses in the physiology and production of cowpea. The experiment was conducted under a randomized block design, in a 4 x 5 + 2 factorial arrangement, with four organic fertilizers (3 composed obtained from of sewage sludge, green coconut shell, carnauba butt; and sewage sludge biochar), five doses (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 t ha-1) and two additional treatments (without fertilization and mineral fertilization). We evaluated the leaf gas exchange in three phenological stages and the productive aspects. Regarding the physiological variables, the compounds with carnauba butt and green coconut shell promoted the best results and throughout the crop cycle, the gas exchange decreased. The productive aspects were increased by about 60%, especially due to the treatments with organic compounds. The PCA can confirm the univariate results, with emphasis on compounds with green coconut shell and carnauba butt. The high percentage of explanation found in axis 1 (60.49%) may be associated with the fact that the gas exchange and production variables are highly responsive to fertilization. The treatment with biochar caused a reduction in both in the physiological and in the productive aspects. ABSTRACT Lippia dulcis is a medicinal species used by communities in the Amazon region for the control of diabetes and as a tranquilizer. The objective of this study was to evaluate the plant biomass production, antioxidant defense, and chemical profiles of the phenolic compounds and essential oil of plants grown under different doses of cattle, quail, and chicken manure. Chicken and quail manure at a dose of 6 kg m-2 reached the highest values of dry weight and essential oil yield of the leaves and positively influenced bisabolol production. Cattle manure affected the content and yield of the essential oil of the inflorescences, the antioxidant defense performance, and the chemical composition of phenolic compounds and essential oil. Plants grown with cattle manure showed a linear increase in the amounts of these substances with increasing dose. Chicken and quail manure led to the highest values of these components at doses between 0 and 3 kg m-2. The evaluation of phenolic compounds and antioxidant defense showed the highest values at doses of 0, 1.5, and 3 kg m-2, regardless of the manure used. ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Until recently, the treatment of people with hemophilia A and inhibitors (PwHAi) was based on the use of bypassing agents (BPA). However, the advent of emicizumab as prophylaxis has demonstrated promising results. OBJECTIVES: We aimed to compare the bleeding endpoints between PwHAi on BPA and those on emicizumab prophylaxis. DESIGN AND SETTING: Systematic review of interventions and meta-analysis conducted at the Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. METHODS: The CENTRAL, MEDLINE, Scopus, and LILACS databases were searched on February 21, 2023. Two authors conducted the literature search, publication selection, and data extraction. The selected publications evaluated the bleeding endpoints between PwHAi on emicizumab prophylaxis and those on BPA prophylaxis. The risk of bias was evaluated according to the Joanna Briggs Institute criteria. A meta-analysis was performed to determine the annualized bleeding rate (ABR) for treated bleeds. RESULTS: Five publications (56 PwHAi) were selected from the 543 retrieved records. Overall, bleeding endpoints were lower during emicizumab prophylaxis than during BPA prophylaxis. All the publications had at least one risk of bias. The only common parameter for the meta-analysis was the ABR for treated bleeds. During emicizumab prophylaxis, the ABR for treated bleeds was lower than during BPA prophylaxis (standard mean difference: −1.58; 95% confidence interval −2.50, −0.66, P = 0.0008; I2 = 68.4%, P = 0.0031). CONCLUSION: Emicizumab was superior to BPA in bleeding prophylaxis in PwHAi. However, both the small population size and potential risk of bias should be considered when evaluating these results. Abstract Does French legislation encourage integration and post-national citizenship? Although French national identity and integration literature reaffirms the exhaustion of the French model and politics for integration, and although traces of economic and social segregation are still observed, data from the Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques and the Migrant Integration Policy Index indicate instead a growing care, from 2015 onwards, to include non-nationals into French society. In light of this mismatch between literature and data, this study tests the hypothesis that the legislative acts published by Paris display a propensity towards welcoming and guaranteeing rights regardless of the immigrants’ nationality. To that end, our research design is multi-method. First, we applied content analysis to 40 regulations referring to immigration, nationality, and citizenship in the period from 2001 to 2022. Then, correspondence analysis was used to gauge the correlation between the proposed categories. Corroborating our hypotheses, the results suggest that (i) French laws, decrees, and ordinances have set norms that are more focused on respecting and welcoming immigrants; and that (ii) there is a correlation between the norms that include non-nationals and those that dissociate the guarantee of rights from nationality. ABSTRACT This study describes an outbreak of Streptococcus equi subspecies zooepidemicus infections that caused meningoencephalitis and bacteremia related to unpasteurized milk consumption in northeastern Brazil. Abstract Background Local anesthetic puncture is often related to the experience of pain. This study aimed to systematically analyze the literature on changes in pain perception during the anesthetic puncture of dental local anesthesia after Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT). Material and methods An electronic search was performed in eight primary databases (Embase, LILACS, BBO, LIVIVO, MedLine via PubMed, SciELO, Scopus, and Web of Science) and three additional ones (EASY, Google Scholar, and OATD) to partially capture the “gray literature”. The PICO strategy was used to identify randomized clinical trials evaluating the analgesic effect of PBMT in the anesthetic puncture site of dental local anesthesia compared to placebo or control groups, without restrictions on publication language and year. Two reviewers extracted the data and assessed the individual risk of bias of the eligible studies using the Cochrane Collaboration Risk of Bias Tool version 2.0. Results The electronic search found 3,485 records, of which eight met the eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. The studies were published from 2011 to 2022. None of the included studies had a low risk of bias. PBMT groups showed no significant difference in pain scores compared to placebo and control groups of most studies. Conclusion Based on a low to very low certainty of evidence, PBMT seems to have no effect on pain perception during anesthetic puncture in patients undergoing dental local anesthesia. PBMT. . Resumo O graute é um material normalmente aplicado para melhorar as propriedades mecânicas da alvenaria estrutural. Assim, a demanda pela utilização do grautes vem crescendo paralelamente à demanda por alvenaria estrutural. Sem diretrizes específicas para dosagem, esses produtos geralmente são preparados no local com base nos mesmos conceitos para preparo de concretos comuns. Várias propriedades do graute ainda precisam ser investigadas e compreendidas como ineficiência dos parâmetros de dosagem, resultando na produção de grautes não ecoeficientes. Desta forma, existe uma demanda por estudos técnico-científicos que auxiliem no desenvolvimento de diretrizes para dosagens de grautes. Este trabalho avalia as propriedades reológicas e do endurecidas de composições de grautes que simulam condições de campo para mostrar a inadequação do método de dosagem, demonstrando uma maneira de entender essa lacuna na tecnologia. A pesquisa investiga como as mudanças na relação água/cimento, para aumentar trabalhabilidade, afetariam as propriedades de estado fresco e endurecido de grautes para alvenaria estrutural. A mistura dos grautes foi realizada em um reômetro que permitiu determinar o comportamento e os parâmetros reológicos durante a mistura e em diferentes condições de cisalhamento. A resistência à compressão, a porosidade e a permeabilidade ao ar foram as propriedades avaliadas no estado endurecido. Os resultados mostraram que composições com maior teor de cimento não necessariamente refletiram propriedades mecânicas melhores, uma vez que não houve alterações estatística, pois outras variáveis também foram alteradas. Abstract Grout is a material usually applied to enhance the mechanical properties of structural masonry. As such, the demand for grout has been growing parallel to the demand for structural masonry. Without guidelines for grout mixing design, these products are often prepared on-site based on the same concepts used for preparing ordinary Portland cement-based concretes. Several grout properties still need to be investigated and understood due to this mixing-design approach, and consequently, the production of ecoefficient grouts is a secondary priority. Due to these obstacles, there is a demand for technical-scientific studies to aid with developing grout design guidelines. This work evaluates the rheological and hardened properties of grout compositions that simulate in-field conditions to show the inadequacy of the mixing design method and a way to understand this lack in the technology. The research investigates how the changes in the water-to-cement ratio, to increase the strength, would affect the fresh and hardened state properties of grouts for structural masonry. The grout’s mixing was done in a rheometer which made it possible to determine the rheological behaviour and parameters during mixing and under different shear conditions. Compressive strength, porosity, and air-permeability were evaluated in the hardened state. The results showed that compositions with more cement content does not necessarily reflect enhanced mechanical properties since the differences were not statistically significant, because other variables were also changed. Abstract: The use of imagem strategies in medical socieal networks is increasingly widespread, meeting the ethical limit established by the CEM. Knowing this, the present study sought to understand the problem of patient exposure in medical social networks. For this, a literature review was carried out from the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Pubmed, UpToDate, LILACS databases, articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese published from 2018 onwards were included. Thus, a tendency was noticed in some cities to create laws to regulate this exposure, given that the use of images has become routine in medical advertising, as a way to demonstrate results. However, this practice is greatly accompanied by ethical failures as recommended by the CFM.

Resumen: El uso de estrategias de imagen en las redes sociales médicas está cada vez más extendido, cumpliendo el límite ético establecido por el CEM. Sabiendo esto, el presente estudio buscó comprender el problema de la exposición de los pacientes en las redes sociales médicas. Para ello, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica a partir de las bases Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), PubMED, UpToDate, LILACS, incluyendo artículos en inglés, español y portugués publicados a partir de 2018. Así, se percibió en algunas ciudades la tendencia a crear leyes para regular esta exposición, dado que el uso de imágenes se ha vuelto rutinario en la publicidad médica, como una forma de demostrar resultados. Sin embargo, esta práctica está muy acompañada de faltas éticas como recomienda el CFM.

Sabendo disso, o presente estudo buscou entender a problemática da exposição do paciente nas redes sociais médicas. Para isso, foi feita uma revisão da literatura a partir das bases Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo), PubMED, UpToDate, LILACS, foram incluídos artigos em inglês, espanhol e português publicados a partir de 2018. Assim, percebeu-se em algumas cidades a tendência de criar leis para regular essa exposição, haja vista que a utilização de imagens tornou-se rotineira na propaganda médica, como forma demonstrar resultados. Todavia, tal prática vem acompanhada grandemente de falhas éticas segundo o preconizado pelo CFM.

The concepts of EPT and the concepts involved with Trans people (Transvestites, Transsexuals and Transgender people) need to be socialized in the spaces of education, formal and non-formal, considering that in Brazil transphobia is recurrent. This research intends to answer how are the academic productions that address Trans issues in the field of Professional and Technological Education. Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the scientific productions on EFA and Trans people in the years 2018 to 2023. A qualitative methodology of narrative literature review was used for the development of updated analyzes on the themes, the Google Scholar database was adopted. The categories Integral Formation, World of Work, Social Name and Transphobia were found in the discussions of the selected texts. Given the above, it can be seen that the publications with the theme of EPT and Trans people stimulate articulations for a more human and integral praxis in the processes of education and insertion in the world of work. Among the findings, some proposals direct to the relevance and emergence of these studies in the search for the continued development of EPT and the successful insertion of transgender people in Brazilian society.

Los conceptos de EPT y los conceptos involucrados con las personas Trans (Travestis, Transexuales y Transgéneros) necesitan ser socializados en los espacios educativos formales y no formales, dado que la transfobia es recurrente en Brasil. Esta investigación pretende responder cómo son las producciones académicas que abordan la temática Trans en el ámbito de la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica. Así, el objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las producciones científicas sobre EPT y personas Trans en los años 2018 a 2023. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa de revisión narrativa de literatura para desarrollar análisis actualizadas sobre los temas, se adoptó la base de datos Google Scholar. En las discusiones de los textos seleccionados se encontraron las categorías Formación Integral, Mundo del Trabajo, Nombre Social y Transfobia. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, se observa que las publicaciones sobre el tema de la EPT y las personas Trans estimulan articulaciones para una praxis más humana e integral en los procesos de formación e inserción en el mundo del trabajo. Entre los hallazgos, algunas propuestas apuntan a la relevancia y emergencia de estos estudios en la búsqueda de la continuidad del desarrollo de la EPT y de la inserción exitosa de las personas trans en la sociedad brasileña.

Os conceitos de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica - EPT e aqueles envolvidos com as pessoas Trans (Travestis, Transexuais e Transgêneras/os) precisam ser socializados nos espaços de educar, formais e não-formais, tendo em vista que, no Brasil, a transfobia é recorrente. Essa pesquisa pretende responder como estão as produções acadêmicas recentes que abordam as questões Trans no campo da EPT. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é discutir o mapeamento das produções científicas sobre EPT e pessoas Trans nos anos de 2018 a 2023, a partir de reflexões teóricas-empíricas. Utilizou-se de uma metodologia qualitativa de revisão narrativa de literatura para o desenvolvimento de análises atualizadas sobre os temas e adotou-se a base de dados Google Scholar .Foram elaborados como categorias Formação Integral, Mundo do Trabalho, Nome Social e Transfobia nas análises e discussões dos textos selecionados. Dado o exposto, percebe-se que as publicações com a temática de EPT e pessoas Trans estimulam articulações para uma práxis mais humana e integral nos processos de educação e inserção no mundo do trabalho. Dentre os achados, algumas propostas direcionam para a pertinência e emergência desses estudos na busca pelo desenvolvimento continuado da EPT e inserção exitosa das transgeneridades na sociedade brasileira.

Resumo A indústria de mineração no Peru - assim como em muitos países ricos em recursos do Sul global - é de grande importância econômica e social, particularmente em regiões remotas onde frequentemente estão localizados depósitos minerais. Até agora, a literatura acadêmica negligenciou a análise de como as mulheres nessas regiões são afetadas pela indústria. Assim, é relevante estudar o conflito de gênero em torno da atividade e invisibilidade das mulheres na mineração, bem como suas propostas, demandas e necessidades, com foco nas preocupações ambientais e sociais. Este estudo analisou as experiências de mulheres camponesas de comunidades andinas peruanas em processos de governança ambiental em contextos de mineração enquanto buscavam exercer sua cidadania dentro da indústria de mineração e espaços públicos. A partir de uma abordagem qualitativa envolvendo um grupo focal e painéis de discussão, foram consideradas as experiências e percepções das mulheres que integram os comitês participativos de monitoramento e vigilância ambiental (PEMSC). Abstract The mining industry in Peru - as well as in many resource-rich countries of the global South - is of great economic and social importance, particularly in remote regions where mineral deposits are often located. The academic literature has so far neglected analysing how women in these regions are affected by the industry. As such, it is relevant to study the gendered conflict surrounding the activity and invisibility of women in the mining industry, as well as their proposals, demands, and needs, with a focus on environmental and social concerns. This study analysed the experiences of peasant women from Peruvian Andes communities in environmental governance processes in mining contexts as they sought to exercise their citizenship within the mining industry and public spaces. Using a qualitative approach involving a focus group and panel discussions, the experiences and perceptions of the women who are part of the participatory environmental monitoring and surveillance committees (PEMSC) were considered.
