RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar a dependência do smartphone e a alteração postural da região cervical em adolescentes. Métodos: Estudo transversal, com 281 adolescentes (15 a 19 anos), que frequentavam da 1ᵃ à 3ᵃ série do ensino médio, realizado entre setembro e outubro de 2019 na cidade de Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil. A coleta dos dados ocorreu em duas etapas. Na primeira, eles responderam a quatro questionários autoaplicáveis: questionário sociodemográfico, condições de saúde e uso do smartphon e, Questionário Nórdico de Sintomas Musculoesqueléticos (NMQ), Self-Report Questi onnaire (SRQ-20) e o Smartphone A ddiction Inventory (SPAI-BR). Na segunda etapa, foram submetidos a fotogrametria pelo Software de Avaliação Postural (SAPO) e avaliação antropométrica (peso e altura). Para a análise dos dados, foi utilizado o SPSS Statistics versão 23.0. Resultados: Do total, 63,3% (n=178) dos adolescentes apresentaram dependência do smartphone, com o uso de 5,8 horas (±3,5) durante a semana e 8,7 (±4,0) no fim de semana. Ao analisar o alinhamento postural na visão anterior, observou-se redução significativa da inclinação lateral de cabeça ao digitar no smartphon e (p=0,002) comparado à posição anatômica (baseline). Na visão lateral foi constatado aumento da anteriorização de cabeça durante o uso do smartphon e (p<0,05). Houve associação da dependência do smartphone com a anteriorização de cabeça (p<0,05). Conclusões: O uso do smartphone na posição de digitação causa alteração postural na região cervical, destacadamente naqueles que apresentam dependência do dispositivo. Dessa forma, são necessárias medidas de promoção de saúde que alertem os adolescentes sobre os efeitos adversos causados pelo uso prolongado do smartphone. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate smartphone addiction and postural alterations in the cervical region in adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study with 281 adolescents (15 to 19 years old), attending the 1st to the 3rd grades of High School, carried out between September and October 2019 in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. ABSTRACT Lippia dulcis is a medicinal species used by communities in the Amazon region for the control of diabetes and as a tranquilizer. The objective of this study was to evaluate the plant biomass production, antioxidant defense, and chemical profiles of the phenolic compounds and essential oil of plants grown under different doses of cattle, quail, and chicken manure. Chicken and quail manure at a dose of 6 kg m-2 reached the highest values of dry weight and essential oil yield of the leaves and positively influenced bisabolol production. Cattle manure affected the content and yield of the essential oil of the inflorescences, the antioxidant defense performance, and the chemical composition of phenolic compounds and essential oil. Plants grown with cattle manure showed a linear increase in the amounts of these substances with increasing dose. Chicken and quail manure led to the highest values of these components at doses between 0 and 3 kg m-2. The evaluation of phenolic compounds and antioxidant defense showed the highest values at doses of 0, 1.5, and 3 kg m-2, regardless of the manure used. Resumo Introdução O smartphone, dispositivo móvel e popular, tornou-se atrativo pela facilidade de utilização e multifuncionalidade. Seu uso prolongado, com flexão anterior do pescoço e movimentos repetitivos dos membros superiores, contribui para sintomas musculoesqueléticos. Objetivo Avaliar as alterações da postura cervical pelo uso do smartphone em adultos, bem como verificar a associação da postura com fatores relacionados à saúde. Métodos Estudo transversal, em duas universidades em Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, entre 2018 e 2019. Participaram 769 adultos (>18 anos) que usavam rotineiramente o smartphone. Foram coletadas variáveis socioeconômicas, condições de saúde e uso do smartphone. Realizou-se a avaliação do alinhamento postural da cervical, sendo mensurado o alinhamento vertical da cabeça (AVC) pela fotogrametria, na posição anatômica (baseline) e digitando no smartphone. Resultados A idade média foi de 23 anos (± 6,7), com maior proporção do sexo feminino (72,1 %; n = 559) e média de 7,9h (± 4,4) utilizando o dispositivo. Abstract Introduction The smartphone, a popular mobile device, has become attractive because it is easy to use and due to it multifunctionality. Its prolonged use, with anterior flexion of the neck and repetitive movements of the upper limbs, contributes to musculoskeletal symptoms. Objective To evaluate changes in cervical posture due to smartphone use in adults, as well as verify the association of posture with health-related factors. Methods Cross-sectional study, carried out at two universities in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil, between 2018 and 2019. A total of 769 adults (>18 years old) who routinely used smartphones participated. Data on socioeconomic variables, health conditions and smartphone use were collected. The cervical postural alignment was assessed, with the vertical head alignment (VHA) being measured using photogrammetry, in the anatomical position (baseline) and while typing on the smartphone. Results The mean age was 23 years (± 6.7), with a higher proportion of females (72.1%; n = 559) and an average of 7.9h (± 4.4) using the device. Resumo Objetivo Apresentar as evidências de validade baseadas no conteúdo e nos processos de resposta da Escala de Coping para a Fala em Público (ECOFAP). Método Estudo metodológico de elaboração e validação de instrumento. Seguiu-se o modelo de elaboração de instrumentos com procedimentos teóricos, empíricos e analíticos, baseados nos critérios de validade do Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (SEPT). O processo de obtenção das evidências de validade baseadas no conteúdo foi realizado em duas etapas: 1) definição conceitual do construto, elaborado com base nos preceitos teóricos da fala em público e da Teoria Motivacional do Coping (TMC); 2) elaboração dos itens e chave de respostas, estruturação do instrumento, avaliação por comitê de dez especialistas, reestruturação dos itens da escala, realizada em três momentos, até a elaboração da versão piloto da ECOFAP. O processo de resposta foi realizado com amostra de conveniência de 30 indivíduos, com e sem dificuldades de fala em público, no campus de uma universidade brasileira, pertencentes a diferentes extratos sociais e profissões. Nesse processo, foram analisadas qualitativamente as reações verbais e não verbais dos respondentes. Resultados A primeira versão da ECOFAP, composta por 46 itens, foi avaliada pelos juízes e posteriormente reformulada, resultando em uma segunda versão com 60 itens. Abstract Purpose To present the content and response process validity evidence of the Speaking in Public Coping of Scale (ECOFAP). Methods A methodological study to develop and validate the instrument. It followed the instrument development method with theoretical, empirical, and analytical procedures, based on the validity criteria of the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (SEPT). The process of obtaining content validity evidence had two stages: 1) conceptual definition of the construct, based on theoretical precepts of speaking in public and the Motivational Theory of Coping (MTC); 2) developing items and response keys, structuring the instrument, assessment by a committee with 10 specialists, restructuring scale items, and developing the ECOFAP pilot version. Item representativity was analyzed through the item content validity index. The response process was conducted in a single stage with a convenience sample of 30 people with and without difficulties speaking in public, from the campus of a Brazilian university, belonging to various social and professional strata. In this process, the respondents’ verbal and nonverbal reactions were qualitatively analyzed. RESUMO Fundamento: As evidências acerca das sequelas a longo prazo após internação por síndrome do desconforto respiratório agudo por COVID-19 ainda são escassas. Objetivo: Avaliar alterações nas funções pulmonar, cardíaca e renal e na qualidade de vida após internação por síndrome do desconforto respiratório agudo secundária à COVID-19. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo multicêntrico, caso-controle, incluindo 220 participantes. Os casos serão definidos como pacientes hospitalizados por síndrome do desconforto respiratório agudo devido à COVID-19. No Grupo Controle, serão selecionados indivíduos sem histórico de hospitalização nos últimos 12 meses ou sintomas a longo prazo de COVID-19. Todos os indivíduos serão submetidos à espirometria pulmonar com teste de difusão pelo monóxido de carbono, tomografia de tórax, ressonância magnética cardíaca e renal com gadolínio, ergoespirometria, creatinina sérica e urinária, proteínas totais e microalbuminúria urinária, além de questionários de qualidade de vida. Os casos serão avaliados 12 meses após a alta hospitalar e os controles, 90 dias após a inclusão no estudo. Para todas as análises estatísticas, será assumido como significativo o valor p < 0,05. ABSTRACT Rationale: Evidence about long-term sequelae after hospitalization for acute respiratory distress syndrome due to COVID-19 is still scarce. Purpose: To evaluate changes in pulmonary, cardiac, and renal function and in quality of life after hospitalization for acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to COVID-19. Methods: This will be a multicenter case–control study of 220 participants. Eligible are patients who are hospitalized for acute respiratory distress syndrome due to COVID-19. In the control group, individuals with no history of hospitalization in the last 12 months or long-term symptoms of COVID-19 will be selected. All individuals will be subjected to pulmonary spirometry with a carbon monoxide diffusion test, chest tomography, cardiac and renal magnetic resonance imaging with gadolinium, ergospirometry, serum and urinary creatinine, total protein, and urinary microalbuminuria, in addition to quality-of-life questionnaires. Abstract Objective: To evaluate and compare the sexual function and pelvic floor muscles (PFM) function of women with endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain (CPP) with and without Myofascial Pelvic Pain Syndrome (MPPS). Methods: Cross-sectional study conducted between January 2018 and December 2020. Women with deep endometriosis underwent assessments for trigger points (TP) and PFM function using the PERFECT scale. Electromyographic activity (EMG) and sexual function through Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) were assessed. Statistical analyses included chi-square and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: There were 46 women. 47% had increased muscle tone and 67% related TP in levator ani muscle (LAM). Weakness in PFM, with P≤2 was noted in 82% and P≥3 in only 17%. Incomplete relaxation of PFM presented in 30%. EMG results were resting 6.0, maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) 61.9 and Endurance 14.2; FSFI mean total score 24.7. We observed an association between increased muscle tone (P<.001), difficulty in relaxation (P=.019), and lower Endurance on EMG (P=.04) in women with TP in LAM. Participants with TP presented lower total FSFI score (P=.02). TP in the right OIM presented increased muscle tone (P=.01). TP in the left OIM presented lower values to function of PFM by PERFECT (P=.005), and in MVIC (P=.03) on EMG. RESUMO JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: A presença de sensibilização central (SC) em pessoas com dor cervical crônica carece de esclarecimentos, bem como as possíveis disparidades entre os sexos. Portanto, objetivou-se avaliar a presença de SC na dor cervical crônica de acordo com o sexo. MÉTODOS: Estudo transversal com a participação de 260 adultos (18-59 anos) com dor cervical crônica, realizado entre setembro de 2022 e setembro de 2023. Foram aplicados instrumentos para coletar perfil sociodemográfico, características da dor, incapacidade funcional da cervical e presença de SC. Para análises comparativas foi utilizado o SPSS 23.0. RESULTADOS: Nas disparidades entre os sexos, não houve diferenças na intensidade da dor e incapacidade funcional cervical (p=0,134 e p=0,277, respectivamente). No entanto, a SC foi mais elevada nas mulheres (43,5 ± 14,0; p=0,003). No sexo feminino, a SC apresentou relação com a "interferência da dor" nos aspectos: caminhar (r=0,311; p=0,001), relacionamento interpessoal (r=0,309; p=0,001), apreciação da vida (r=0,321; p=0,001) e com incapacidade funcional da cervical (r=0,570; p=0,001). Já no sexo masculino, a SC teve relação com a "interferência da dor" em aspectos como atividade geral (r=0,311; p=0,008), humor (r=0,376; p=0,001), caminhar (r=0,313; p=0,007), relacionamento interpessoal (r=0,477; p=0,001), sono (r=0,321; p=0,006), apreciação da vida (r=0,427 p=0,001) e incapacidade funcional (r=0,667; p<0,001). ABSTRACT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The presence of central sensitization (CS) in people with chronic neck pain requires clarification, as does the possible disparities between genders. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the presence of CS in chronic neck pain according to gender. METHODS: Cross-sectional study with the participation of 260 adults (18-59 years old) with chronic neck pain, carried out between September 2022 and September 2023. Instruments were applied to collect sociodemographic profile, pain characteristics, cervical functional disability and presence of SC. The software SPSS 23.0 was used for comparative analyzes. RESULTS: Regarding disparities between genders, there were no differences in the intensity of pain and cervical functional disability (p=0.134 and p=0.277, respectively). However, SC was higher in women (43.5 ± 14.0; p=0.003). In females, CS was related to "pain interference" in the aspects of walking (r=0.311; p=0.001), relationships with people (r=0.309; p=0.001), appreciation of life (r=0.321; p= 0.001) and with cervical functional disability (r=0.570; p=0.001). In males, CS was related to "pain interference" in aspects such as general activity (r=0.311; p=0.008), mood (r=0.376; p=0.001), walking (r=0.313; p= 0.007), relationships with people (r=0.477; p=0.001), sleep (r=0.321; p=0.006), appreciation of life (r=0.427 p=0.001) and functional disability (r=0.667; p<0.001). ABSTRACT Objective: to map scientific evidence about perceptions, beliefs, knowledge and attitudes of parents or legal guardians of children under 5 years of age regarding routine childhood vaccination. Methods: a scoping review, conducted in accordance with the JBI framework. The searches were carried out in the PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus and LILACS databases. A total of 5,535 studies were returned and 77 were selected, which met the inclusion criteria. Abstract There is an interaction between dendrocytes and mast cells in the skin. However, in elastosis-related diseases such as actinic cheilitis (AC) and lower lip squamous cell carcinoma (LLSCC), this interaction remains unknown. We investigated the presence of intact and degranulated mast cells in AC and LLSCC. Associations of mast cells with factor XIIIa+ dendrocytes and inflammatory infiltrate were assessed. Forty cases of AC (20 with low-grade and 20 with high-grade epithelial dysplasia), 50 cases of LLSCC, and 10 cases of normal oral mucosa were evaluated. Toluidine blue staining was performed to identify mast cells, and mast cell densities were calculated in the inflammatory infiltrate. Factor XIIIa+ dendrocytes were immunohistochemically quantified. The highest ratio of intact/degranulated mast cells density was detected in LLSCC (5.9 cells/mm2), followed by AC with high-grade epithelial dysplasia (4.8 cells/mm2). Statistically significant differences were found in the density of intact mast cells compared to degranulated mast cells in AC with low-grade epithelial dysplasia (p<0.001), AC with high-grade epithelial dysplasia (p=0.005), and LLSCC (p<0.001). A positive correlation between degranulated mast cells and total inflammatory infiltrate (p=0.03) was observed in the LLSCC group. The expression of factor XIIIa+ dendrocytes was highest in AC with low-grade epithelial dysplasia (16.5 cells/mm2). RESUMO Objetivo: Esta revisão sistemática teve como objetivo analisar a literatura sobre alterações em biomarcadores salivares endógenos de dor, ansiedade, estresse e inflamação relacionados à movimentação dentária durante tratamento ortodôntico de crianças e adolescentes. Material e Métodos: Foram realizadas buscas eletrônicas em nove bases de dados para identificar estudos quase-experimentais sobre o tema, sem restrições de idioma e ano de publicação. Dois revisores extraíram os dados e avaliaram o risco individual de viés usando as ferramentas JBI, e a certeza da evidência usando a ferramenta GRADE. Resultados: A busca eletrônica encontrou 7.038 registros, dos quais 12 atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade e foram incluídos na síntese qualitativa. A maioria dos estudos apresentou baixo risco de viés. Os biomarcadores foram agrupados em cinco categorias: eletrólitos, enzimas, hormônios, imunoglobulinas e mediadores. Os eletrólitos apresentaram diminuição dos níveis de Ca2+, Pi3+ e K+ e aumento dos níveis de Na+ e Cl-. Todas as enzimas (ALP, LDH, MMP8 e MMP9) aumentaram ao longo do tempo. ABSTRACT Objective: This systematic review aimed to analyze the literature on changes in endogenous salivary biomarkers of pain, anxiety, stress, and inflammation related to tooth movement during orthodontic treatment of children and adolescents. Material and Methods: An electronic search was performed in nine databases to identify quasi-experimental studies, without restricting publication language and year. Two reviewers extracted the data and assessed the individual risk of bias using the JBI tools, and the certainty of evidence using the GRADE tool. Results: The electronic search found 7,038 records, of which 12 met the eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. Most studies had a low risk of bias. Biomarkers were grouped into five categories: electrolytes, enzymes, hormones, immunoglobulins, and mediators. Electrolytes showed decreased Ca2+, Pi3+ and K+ levels, and increased Na+ and Cl- levels. All enzymes (ALP, LDH, MMP8, and MMP9) increased over time. Resumo Introdução: A horizontalização do cuidado é uma forma de organização do trabalho em saúde, na qual existe uma equipe multiprofissional de referência que atua diariamente no serviço, em contraposição à forma de organização do trabalho em que profissionais têm uma carga horária distribuída por plantão. Objetivos: Compreender o processo de trabalho relacionado às atribuições do enfermeiro rotineiro na equipe multiprofissional. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório de cunho qualitativo, realizada com 48 profissionais de um hospital público no Distrito Federal, Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu no período de 10 de outubro a 30 de novembro de 2022. Os dados foram analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo de Bardin: pré-análise, exploração do material e tratamento dos resultados, inferência e interpretação. Resultados: Foi possível encontrar três núcleos de sentido que foram divididos em três categorias: 1- Inexistência de sistematização do trabalho do rotineiro; 2- Processo de trabalho na percepção da equipe; e 3- Necessidades de aprendizagem. Conclusões: Verificou-se que o papel do enfermeiro horizontal não está devidamente esclarecido, necessitando, portanto, de elaboração de protocolos institucionais que apresentem as atividades a serem desenvolvidas pela horizontal e pelo plantonista. No intuito de alinhar as condutas no cenário hospitalar, sugere-se ampla capacitação da equipe multiprofissional com abordagem no cuidado horizontal, preconizado pela Política Nacional de Atenção Hospitalar.

Abstract Introduction: The horizontalization of care is a form of organization of work in health, in which there is a multidisciplinary team of reference that works daily in the service, as opposed to the form of organization of work in which professionals have a workload distributed per shift. Objectives: Understanding the work process related to the duties of the horizontal nurse in the multidisciplinary team. Methods: This is a descriptive, exploratory qualitative study, carried out with 48 professionals from a public hospital. Data collection took place from October 10 to November 30, 2022. Data were analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis: pre-analysis, material exploration and treatment of results, inference and interpretation. Results: It was possible to find three nuclei of meaning that were divided into three categories: 1- Lack of routine work systematization; 2- Work process in the team's perception; and 3- Learning needs. Conclusions: It was verified that the role of the horizontal nurse is not properly clarified, therefore requiring the elaboration of institutional protocols that present the activities to be developed by the horizontal nurse and by the on-duty nurse. In order to align conducts in the hospital scenario, it is suggested extensive training of the multidisciplinary team with a horizontal care approach, recommended by the National Policy for Hospital Care.
