Resumo Objetivo Avaliar a aplicabilidade e a efetividade de um jogo com elementos de Roleplaying Game (RPG) enquanto ferramenta didático pedagógica para o ensino em saúde. Método A população deste estudo foi de discentes de cursos de graduação e pós-graduação, da área da saúde, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa. O estudo foi realizado entre os meses de abril a junho de 2018, em duas etapas. Primeiramente foi realizado o RPG com as turmas envolvidas, e após uma semana, entrevistas de GF para a obtenção de informações, contando com voluntários dessas turmas que aceitaram participar da pesquisa. A análise das informações foi baseada em aspectos da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD). Resultados Da análise emergiram as categorias:1) Criação do jogo, 2) Impacto da experiência no ensino aprendizagem, 3) Reflexão acerca do jogo. Os resultados demonstram que o uso do jogo com elementos de RPG tem um enorme potencial a ser explorado no processo de ensino-aprendizagem na área da saúde. Abstract Objective To assess the applicability and effectiveness of a game incorporating Roleplaying Game (RPG) elements as a pedagogical tool for health education. Resumo Fundamento Dados robustos sobre a curva de aprendizagem (LC) da substituição da válvula aórtica transcateter (TAVR) são escassos nos países em desenvolvimento. Objetivo Avaliar a LC da TAVR no Brasil ao longo do tempo. Métodos Analisamos dados do registro brasileiro de TAVR de 2008 a 2023. Pacientes de cada centro foram numerados cronologicamente em número sequencial de caso (NSC). A LC foi realizada usando um spline cúbico restrito ajustado para o EuroSCORE-II e o uso de próteses de nova geração. Ainda, os desfechos hospitalares foram comparados entre grupos definidos de acordo com o nível de experiência, com base no NSC: 1º ao 40º caso (experiência inicial), 41º ao 80º caso (experiência básica), 81º ao 120º caso (experiência intermediária) e 121º caso em diante (experiência alta). Análises adicionais foram conduzidas de acordo com o número de casos tratados antes de 2014 (>40 e ≤40 procedimentos). O nível de significância adotado foi p <0,05. Resultados Foram incluídos 3194 pacientes de 25 centros. A idade média foi 80,7±8,1 anos e o EuroSCORE II médio foi 7±7,1. A análise da LC demonstrou uma queda na mortalidade hospitalar ajustada após o tratamento de 40 pacientes. Um patamar de nivelamento na curva foi observado após o caso 118. A mortalidade hospitalar entre os grupos foi 8,6%, 7,7%, 5,9%, e 3,7% para experiência inicial, básica, intermediária e alta, respectivamente (p<0,001). A experiência alta foi preditora independente de mortalidade mais baixa (OR 0,57, p=0,013 vs. experiência inicial). Centros com baixo volume de casos antes de 2014 não mostraram uma redução significativa na probabilidade de morte com o ganho de experiência, enquanto centros com alto volume de casos antes de 2014 apresentaram uma melhora contínua após o caso de número 10. Conclusão Observou-se um fenômeno de LC para a mortalidade hospitalar do TAVR no Brasil. Abstract Background Robust data on the learning curve (LC) of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) are lacking in developing countries. Objective To assess TAVR’s LC in Brazil over time. Methods We analyzed data from the Brazilian TAVR registry from 2008 to 2023. Patients from each center were numbered chronologically in case sequence numbers (CSNs). LC was performed using restricted cubic splines adjusted for EuroSCORE-II and the use of new-generation prostheses. Also, in-hospital outcomes were compared between groups defined according to the level of experience based on the CSN: 1st to 40th (initial-experience), 41st to 80th (early-experience), 81st to 120th (intermediate-experience), and over 121st (high-experience). Additional analysis was performed grouping hospitals according to the number of cases treated before 2014 (>40 and ≤40 procedures). The level of significance adopted was <0.05. Results A total of 3,194 patients from 25 centers were included. Mean age and EuroSCORE II were 80.7±8.1 years and 7±7.1, respectively. LC analysis demonstrated a drop in adjusted in-hospital mortality after treating 40 patients. A leveling off of the curve was observed after case #118. In-hospital mortality across the groups was 8.6%, 7.7%, 5.9%, and 3.7% for initial-, early-, intermediate-, and high-experience, respectively (p<0.001). High experience independently predicted lower mortality (OR 0.57, p=0.013 vs. initial experience). Low-volume centers before 2014 showed no significant decrease in the likelihood of death with gained experience, whereas high-volume centers had a continuous improvement after case #10. Conclusion A TAVR LC phenomenon was observed for in-hospital mortality in Brazil. Resumo O estudo buscou conhecer quem são os gestores municipais de saúde e práticas realizadas no âmbito de gestão. Possuiu delineamento transversal. A metodologia contou com o envio de um questionário eletrônico às secretarias de saúde dos 497 municípios do estado do Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Destes, 297 retornaram (59,75%). Contudo, foram considerados na análise estatística apenas os questionários com mais de 50% de respostas válidas (n = 264). A análise contou com o cálculo da distribuição das variáveis e com testes de qui-quadrado, onde o porte populacional foi considerado variável independente. A maioria foi composta por mulheres, com escolaridade alta e distintas formações, média de idade de 43,76 anos, cor branca. A média de gastos com saúde foi de ≈20% das receitas. Houve consenso quanto na insuficiência dos recursos. Quanto ao porte populacional, 79,92% possuíam ≤ 20.000 habitantes. Diferenças significativas foram observadas na gestão de municípios de distintos portes, tanto nas prioridades, quanto nas dificuldades. O estudo permitiu conhecer parcialmente a realidade da gestão municipal. Além disso, os resultados sugeriram a necessidade de novas pesquisas sobre a feminilização da gestão, avaliação de processos de trabalho e impactos da política de austeridade.

The methodology involved the use of electronic questionnaire, which was sent to the health departments of the 497 municipalities of the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Of these, 297 were answered (59.75%). However, only those with more than 50% of valid answers (n = 264) were included in the statistical analysis. The analysis included the calculation of the distribution of variables and chi-square testes, taking population size as an independent variable. Most managers were women; graduated; from different professional backgrounds; average age of 43.76 years-old, and white. The average health expenditure in the municipalities was ≈ 20% of revenues. There was a consensus on the insufficiency of resources. With regards to population size, 79.92% presented with ≤ 20,000 inhabitants. Statistically significant differences were found in the management of municipalities of different sizes, both in terms of priorities and difficulties. The study allowed to partially understanding the reality of municipal management. These results indicate the need to further investigate the feminization of health management, working process assessment, and the impacts of economical austerity policy.

Resumo Introdução As residências multiprofissionais em área profissional da saúde ganharam espaço a partir da Lei n°11.129 de 2005. Constituem-se como uma modalidade de ensino de pós-graduação Latu-sensu, com a intenção de capacitar profissionais para trabalhar no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Objetivo Este estudo teve por objetivo investigar a atual situação, desde uma perspectiva de satisfação com a formação, com cursos de Residência, dos residentes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Material e método Constitui-se de um estudo com abordagem mista. O segmento quantitativo ocorreu através da aplicação de um questionário para todos os residentes participantes do Programa de Residência da UFRGS no ano de 2018. O estudo de abordagem qualitativa foi realizado através da técnica de grupos focais. Resultado Totalizaram 81 participantes na abordagem quantitativa e nos grupos focais participaram 14 residentes, pertencentes ao programa de Saúde Bucal. Os resultados quantitativos representam que os residentes receberam pouca ou nenhuma orientação no início do programa. Os resultados qualitativos apresentam questões que permitem fazer inferências acerca da insatisfação e desconhecimento dos residentes acerca do funcionamento dos Programas. Conclusão Destaca-se que os residentes reconhecem que há ainda questões de gestão do programa a serem aprimoradas, bem como de reconhecimento da sua importância dentro da Universidade.

Abstract Introduction The multi-professional residencies in the Health area started to improve after the Law n° 11.129 of 2005. They are a modality of Latu-sensu graduate education, with the purpose of training professionals to work in the National Unified Health System (SUS). Objective This study aimed to investigate the current situation, from a perspective of satisfaction with the training in Residency courses, with the residents of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Material and method It is a study with a mixed-methods approach. The quantitative section was conducted through the application of a questionnaire to all residents participating in the UFRGS Residency Programs in 2018. The qualitative part was conducted using the focus group technique. Result There were 81 participants in the quantitative component, and 14 residents of the Oral Health program participated in the focus groups. The quantitative results showed that residents received little or no guidance at the beginning of the program. The qualitative results showed questions that allow inferences about residents' dissatisfaction and lack of knowledge about the functioning of the Programs. Conclusion Residents recognize that there are still issues with program administration to be improved, and more especially, the recognition of the importance of the Residency Programs within the University.

ABSTRACT Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is the most common type of extra-nodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which mostly involves the stomach. The clinical suspicion and diagnosis are often challenging because of the lack of specific symptoms and conventional endoscopic findings. Three magnifying endoscopic signs of the gastric mucosa have been described as highly specific to the diagnosis of MALT lymphoma, such as (i) tree-like appearance of the microvessels; (ii) non-structural area; and (iii) ballooning crypt pattern. We report the case of a middle-aged woman in which these signs appeared chronologically over a period of 2 years, showing the association of the sequence of the endoscopic findings and the final histological diagnosis of gastric MALT lymphoma.

Resumo: Neste artigo objetivamos conhecer a percepção dos profissionais da saúde da Atenção Básica a respeito de situações de violência contra a mulher e identificar quais são as estratégias utilizadas diante deste problema. Para tanto, utilizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa segundo a realização de quatro grupos focais, com posterior análise das informações por meio da técnica da Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados. Identificamos que os profissionais reconhecem a presença desta violência, porém, nem sempre há acolhimento ou intervenção. Por outro lado, alguns profissionais exemplificaram estratégias para intervir e referiram efeitos desta interferência na redução dos episódios de violência. Os resultados apresentam algumas questões que direcionam estes posicionamentos e condutas e são importantes para a reflexão sobre as potencialidades da Atenção Básica frente a este tema.

Abstract: This research aimed to understand the perception of the health professional(s) of the primary care about violence situations against women and to identify the strategies facing this problem. Therefore, a qualitative research was carried out through four focal groups, with further analysis of the information through the technique of Grounded Theory. The professionals recognize the presence of this violence; however, there is not always a reception or intervention. On the other hand, some professionals exemplified strategies to intervene and reported the effects of this interference in the reduction of the violence episodes. The results show up some questions that guide these positions and behaviours and are important for the reflection on the potentialities of Primary Care in this area.

Resumo O Brasil se destaca pelo número de praticantes e conquistas internacionais no futsal. Este esporte encontra-se em processo de consolidação da profissionalização de suas práticas no país. Consequentemente, a mídia torna-se fundamental para a atração de consumidores e investidores. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a perspectiva de jogadores brasileiros de elite de futsal relativa à cobertura midiática sobre este esporte no Brasil. Foram realizadas entrevistas com 21 jogadores da seleção brasileira masculina principal de futsal. Após análise temática, as categorias analíticas foram discutidas com base na Teoria dos Campos de Pierre Bourdieu. Concluiu-se que, segundo os jogadores, o futsal ocupa um espaço desprestigiado na mídia esportiva, o que dificulta a atração de investimentos e desenvolvimento de carreiras. Os jogadores propõem ações ortodoxas que tentam se adaptar às normas do campo, de modo a alcançarem capitais econômicos e simbólicos que melhorem suas condições de trabalho e posição na estrutura social.

Abstract Brazil has many futsal practitioners and is the main winner of world championships; professionalism is increasing in the country. Thus, the media play a key role in attracting consumers and investors. This study investigates the perspective of Brazilian elite male players on the media coverage. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 21 national team members. After players’ discourses underwent thematic analysis, analytic categories were subjected to Pierre Bourdieu’s Theory of Fields. According to players, futsal is discredited in sports media coverage, hampering the attraction of investors and career development. Players propose orthodox actions to adapt to the rules of the field in order to gain economic and symbolic capitals that may improve their work conditions and social status.

RESUMO Objetivou-se determinar a eficiência de óleos vegetais, em mistura com óleo mineral, na indução da brotação, na atividade das enzimas catalase e peroxidase do guaiacol em gemas e na produtividade de macieiras. Os tratamentos constaram da aplicação de óleo mineral e misturas deste com óleo vegetal emulsionável, óleos vegetais de soja e de girassol e cianamida hidrogenada. As avaliações consistiram na verificação da brotação e atividade enzimática das gemas, do desenvolvimento vegetativo, da fenologia da floração e das características produtivas. Em macieiras cv. Fuji Suprema, a mistura de óleo mineral 2% e óleo vegetal emulsionável 4% apresenta potencial para indução da brotação, redução do vigor das plantas, concentração e antecipação da florada e aumento do número de frutos por planta e da produtividade. A mistura de óleo mineral e vegetal tem menor eficiência para indução da brotação de macieiras cv. Gala Real II, quando comparada ao óleo mineral e cianamida hidrogenada. A aplicação de óleo vegetal e mineral não altera a atividade da enzima catalase e nenhum dos produtos testados altera a atividade da enzima peroxidase do guaiacol, 24 horas após a aplicação.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to determine the efficiency of vegetable oils mixed with mineral oil in the induction of budding, the activity of the enzymes catalase and guaiacol peroxidase on the buds, and productivity in the apple. The research was carried out at the State University of the Centeral-West (Unicentro), in Guarapuava, in the State of Paraná, Brazil, on both growing plants and plants at the start of production (2013/2014 and 2014/2015 respectively), using the Royal Gala II and Fuji Supreme cultivars of the apple. The treatments consisted of the application of mineral oil and mineral oil mixed with emulsifiable vegetable oil, vegetable oils from the soybean and sunflower, and hydrogenated cyanamide. Evaluation consisted of verifying budding and enzymatic activity, vegetative development, flowering phenology and productive characteristics. In the Fuji Supreme cultivar, a mixture of 2% mineral oil and 4% emulsifiable vegetable oil has the potential to induce budding, reduce plant vigour, and the concentration and anticipation of flowering, and increase both the number of fruits per plant and productivity. A mixture of mineral and vegetable oil is less efficient in the induction of budding in the Royal Gala II cultivar, when compared to mineral oil with hydrogen cyanamide. The application of mineral and vegetable oil does not alter the activity of the enzyme catalase, and none of the products tested alters the activity of the enzyme guaiacol peroxidase 24 hours after application.

RESUMO Nesse artigo, temos por objetivo analisar a emergência do campo dos “esportes de prancha” evidenciando alguns dos agentes, estruturas e práticas que foram centrais nesse processo histórico. A hipótese que nos guia nesse percurso se respalda no entendimento de que modalidades como o bodyboarding, sandboard, wakeboard, skate, entre outras, são derivações do surf. Em termos metodológicos, realizamos um levantamento de artigos, produções literárias, relatos de experiência bem como de reportagens em sites e blogs especializados que versam sobre “esportes de prancha”. No que diz respeito aos direcionamentos teóricos, partimos do referencial sociológico de Pierre Bourdieu e endossamos a análise a partir das contribuições de Mike Featherstone e Anthony Giddens por entender que seus constructos somam oportunamente à leitura da dialética de oferta e demanda dos “esportes de prancha”.

ABSTRACT In this article, our objective is to analyze the emergence of the field of “board sports” showing some of the agents, structures and practices that were central to this historic process. The hypothesis that guides us on this path supports the understanding that sports such as bodyboarding, sandboarding, wakeboard, skate, among others, are the surf derivations. In terms of methodology, we did a survey articles, literary productions, experience reports as well as reports on websites and specialized blogs dealing on “board sports”. About to theoretical directions, we were based in the sociological framework of Pierre Bourdieu and endorsed the analysis by contributions of Mike Featherstone and Anthony Giddens understanding that their theoretical constructs are timely add to the supply of dialectical reading about offer and demand of the “board sports”.
