Species from Pavonia genus (Malvaceae) are traditionally used as antioxidant, n anti inflammatory and antimicrobial remedies. Previous studies have revealed their diversity of specialized metabolites widely used in the development of new medicines. This is the first study on Pavonia glazioviana Gurke, a Brazilian species known as “Malva da Chapada”. The research led to identify fifteen compounds: 132 (S) hydroxy pheophytin a; and 132(S) hydroxy 173 ethoxyphaeophorbide, n decanol, cycloart 23Z ene 3β,25 diol, cycloart 24S 25 ene 3β,24 diol, sitosterol 3 O β D glucopyranoside, stigmasterol 3 O β D glucopyranoside, quercetin, acacetin, kaempferol, tiliroside, 5 hydroxy 3,7,8,4’ tetramethoxyflavone, 5,7 dihydroxy 3,8,4’ trimethoxyflavone, 5,7 dihydroxy 4’ methoxyflavone, 5,7,4’ trihydroxy 3,8 dimethoxyflavone and 5,7,4’ trihydroxy 3 methoxyflavone. The major flavonoids were tested for their antimicrobial activity, and the compound 5,7 dihydroxy 3,8,4’ trimethoxyflavone showed strong activity against Escherichia coli (MIC = 512 μg mL1), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC = 512 μg mL1), Candida albicans (MIC = 512 μg mL1), Candida tropicalis (MIC = 512 μg mL1), Candida parapsilosis (MIC = 512 μg mL1), Aspergillus flavus (MIC = 512 μg mL1) and A. fumigantus (MIC = 512 μg mL1). The total phenolic content, flavonoid content, and radical scavenging potential were determined showing its great production of phenolics and flavonoids, along with interesting radical scavenging potential (DPPH EC50 = 6.36 ± 0.029 mg mL 1). Resumo Fundamento A Doença de Chagas (DC) representa um grave problema de saúde pública na América Latina. O Benznidazol (BNZ) é utilizado para o tratamento DC e, apesar do seu amplo uso, poucas informações estão disponíveis sobre sua toxicidade e mecanismos das Reações Adversas ao Medicamento (RAM). Objetivos Identificar e classificar as reações adversas clínicas e laboratoriais ocasionadas pelo uso do BNZ quanto à sua causalidade e gravidade. Métodos Estudo de coorte prospectivo realizado no período de janeiro de 2018 a dezembro de 2021. O acompanhamento do tratamento incluiu consultas e análises laboratoriais antes, 30 e 60 dias após o início do tratamento. As RAM foram classificadas quanto à causalidade e gravidade. Na análise estatística o nível de significância adotado foi p<0,05. Resultados Participaram do estudo 40 pacientes com DC crônica, observou-se alta prevalência de RAM com um total de 161 em 30 (90%) pacientes. Destas, 104 (64,6%) foram classificadas como possíveis e 57 (35,4%) como prováveis. As reações foram classificadas em moderadas e leves. Dos 40 pacientes, nove (22,5%) suspenderam o tratamento. As RAM associadas à interrupção e intervenções foram as que afetaram o sistema dermatológico, sistema nervoso central e periférico ou que culminaram em ageusia. Após 30 dias de tratamento, alterações hematológicas e bioquímicas leves foram observadas como linfopenia. Conclusão Apesar do elevado percentual de RAM, muitos pacientes foram capazes de completar o tratamento, o que se atribui ao êxito da estratégia de acompanhamento com intervenções de tratamento sintomático juntamente ao aconselhamento, levando à compreensão da sintomatologia e manutenção do tratamento. Abstract Background Chagas disease (CD) is a serious public health problem in Latin America. Benznidazole (BNZ) is used for the treatment of CD and, despite its wide use, little information is available about its toxicity and mechanisms of adverse drug reactions (ADR). Objectives To identify and classify clinical and laboratory adverse reactions caused by BNZ in terms of causality and severity. Methods Prospective cohort study from January 2018 to December 2021. Treatment follow-up included visits and biochemical tests (complete blood count, liver and kidney function tests) before, during and after treatment. ADR were classified according to causality and severity. In the statistical analysis, the significance level was set at p<0.05. Results Forty patients with chronic CD were included. A high prevalence of ADR was observed 161 ADR in 30 patients [90%]; of these, 104 (64.6%) were classified as possible and 57 (35.4%) as probable. The ADR were classified as moderate and mild. Of the 40 patients, nine (22.5%) discontinued treatment. ADR associated with treatment discontinuation and interventions were those that affected the dermatological system, central and peripheral nervous system and sense organs such as ageusia. Mild hematological and biochemical changes such as lymphopenia were observed after 30 days of treatment. Conclusion Many patients were able to complete the treatment even with ADR, which can be attributed to the successful follow-up strategy with symptomatic treatment and counseling, leading to patient’s awareness of symptoms and treatment adherence. Resumo: A doença Covid19, resultante da contaminação pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2, causou efeitos na economia, sobretudo no setor agrícola, que se tornou mais suscetível à elevação de custos não percebidos facilmente. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar o impacto nos custos de aquisição de insumos, ocasionados pela pandemia do Covid-19, em pequenas propriedades rurais familiares, sob a ótica da metodologia Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). A metodologia empregada nesta investigação foi a do estudo de caso genérico em 12 propriedades rurais familiares, situadas na Região Sul do Brasil, com dados coletados entre abril de 2017 e março de 2020. Foram analisados quatro insumos comuns a todas as propriedades. Os resultados demonstraram que houve um acréscimo de 39,47% nos custos de aquisição dos insumos, equivalente a um aumento médio ponderado de 34,7%, o que impactou negativamente no resultado monetário das propriedades familiares. Concluiu-se que as propriedades foram afetadas pelos efeitos da pandemia no que se refere à compra de insumos, principalmente com o aumento dos custos de aquisição, em decorrência do desabastecimento dos suprimentos essenciais para as operações básicas das pequenas propriedades rurais. Abstract: The Covid19 disease, resulting from contamination by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, impacted on the economy, especially in the agricultural sector, which has become more susceptible to these impacts through the rise in costs that are not easily perceived. This study aims to analyze the impact on input acquisition costs, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in small family farms, from the perspective of the Total Cost Ownership (TCO) methodology. The methodology used in this research was a case study in 12 family farms, located in the southern region of Brazil, with data collected from April 2017 to March 2020. Four inputs common to all properties were analyzed. The results showed that there was an increase of 39.47% in the acquisition costs of inputs and a weighted average increase of 34.7%, which had a negative impact on the monetary result of family properties. It was concluded that the properties were affected by the effects of the pandemic with regard to the purchase of inputs, mainly with an increase in acquisition costs, due to the shortage of essential supplies for the basic operations of small rural properties. RESUMO Objetivo: Fazer um levantamento bibliográfico referente à tuberculose (TB) em crianças e adolescentes com doenças reumáticas, em uso de imunobiológicos. Fonte de dados: Revisão integrativa com busca na base United States National Library of Medicine (PubMed) utilizando os descritores e operadores booleanos: ([“tuberculosis”] AND ([“children”] OR [“adolescent”]) AND [“rheumatic diseases”] AND ([“tumor necrosis fator-alpha”] OR [“etanercept”] OR [“adalimumab”] OR [“infliximab”] OR [“biological drugs”] OR [“rituximab”] OR [“belimumab”] OR [“tocilizumab”] OR [“canakinumab”] OR [“golimumab”] OR [“secukinumab”] OR [“ustekinumab”] OR [“tofacitinib”] OR [“baricitinib”] OR [“anakinra”] OR [“rilonacept”] OR [“abatacept”]), entre janeiro de 2010 e outubro de 2021. Síntese de dados: Trinta e sete artigos foram incluídos, com o total de 36.198 pacientes. Houve 81 casos de tuberculose latente (ILTB), 80 casos de tuberculose pulmonar (TBP) e quatro casos de tuberculose extrapulmonar (TBEP). A principal doença reumática foi a artrite idiopática juvenil. Entre os casos de ILTB, a maioria foi diagnosticada no rastreio e nenhum evoluiu para a TB. Dos casos de TB em uso de imunobiológicos, a maioria utilizava fármacos antiTNFα. Houve somente um caso de óbito. Conclusões: O estudo demonstrou baixa taxa de TB nos pacientes pediátricos em uso de imunobiológicos. O rastreio para ILTB antes do início da terapia com agentes biológicos deve ser realizado em todos os pacientes, e o tratamento, nos casos de rastreio positivo, é importante para evitar a progressão para TB doença. Stemodin (1) is a diterpene produced by Stemodia maritima L. (Scrophulariaceae) and shows antiviral and tumor cell proliferation inhibitory activities. Chemical modifications of 1 were performed to produce the known stemodinone (2), two new stemodinone oximes, Z (3) and E (4), and seven new oxime esters derivatives (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11). All derivatives were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity in HL60 (promyelocytic leukemia), SNB-19 (astrocytoma), HCT-116 (colon carcinoma), and PC3 (prostate) human cancer cell lines, and L929 (healthy murine cells). Oximes 3 and 4 showed lower cytotoxic values than 1 against all cancer cell lines tested. However, esters 9 and 10 exhibited cell growth inhibition percentages higher than 1 against PC3, SNB-19, and HCT-116 cancer cell lines, ranging from 62.96 to 94.27%. Many of these values exceed that presented by doxorubicin (66.05-86.87%). All compounds showed no cytotoxic effect on healthy cells at the tested concentration of 25 µg mL-1. ABSTRACT Objective To characterize the use of private services in infant vaccination and assess vaccination coverage according to the service used. Methods : This was a national vaccination survey conducted in 2020 that estimated the use of private vaccination services and vaccination coverage among infants residing in state capitals and 12 inland municipalities. Results : Of the 37,801 participants, 25.1% (95%CI 23.2;27.2) used private services at least once, with higher proportions in capitals, larger cities and in the South and Southeast regions. Socioeconomic and demographic differences were identified among families, based on the service used. The coverage for the set of vaccines administered up to 24 months was 60.3% (95%CI 58.6;62.0) in the public service and 59.5% (95%CI 55.9;63.0) in private services, and up-to-date vaccines, 10.3% (95%CI 9.1;11.6) and 9.4% (95%CI 7.4;11.8), respectively. Conclusion The use of private services was frequent, with low coverage for the set of vaccines, regardless of the type of service used, especially for up-to-date vaccines.

RESUMO Objetivo Caracterizar a utilização dos serviços privados na vacinação de lactentes e avaliar as coberturas vacinais segundo serviço utilizado. Métodos Inquérito nacional de vacinação realizado em 2020 que estimou a utilização de serviços privados de vacinação e as coberturas vacinais de lactentes residentes nas capitais dos estados, no Distrito Federal e em 12 municípios do interior. Resultados Dos 37.801 participantes, 25,1% (IC95% 23,2;27,2) utilizaram alguma vez serviços privados, com maiores proporções em capitais, cidades de maior porte e regiões Sul e Sudeste. Identificaram-se diferenças socioeconômicas e demográficas nas famílias, segundo o serviço utilizado. A cobertura para o conjunto de vacinas aplicadas até 24 meses foi de 60,3% (IC95% 58,6;62,0) no serviço público e de 59,5% (IC95% 55,9;63,0) no privado, e das vacinas em dia, de 10,3% (IC95% 9,1;11,6) e 9,4% (IC95% 7,4;11,8), respectivamente. ABSTRACT Conditions related to the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) are still a significant cause of morbidity and mortality among people living with HIV (PLHIV). Longer survival in this population were reported to increase the risk of developing noncommunicable chronic diseases (NCDs). This study aimed to estimate the survival and causes of death according to age group and sex among PLHIV monitored at two referral centers in the Northeastern Brazil. This is a prospective, retrospective cohort with death records from 2007 to 2018, based on a database that registers causes of death using the International Classification of Disease (ICD-10), which were subsequently coded following the Coding Causes of Death in HIV (CoDe). A total of 2,359 PLHIV participated in the study, with 63.2% being men, with a follow-up period of 13.9 years. Annual mortality rate was 1.46 deaths per 100 PLHIV (95% CI: 1.33 – 1.60) with a frequency of 20.9%. Risk of death for men increased by 49% when compared to women, and the risk of death in PLHIV increased by 51% among those aged 50 years and over at the time of diagnosis. It was observed that 73.5% accounted for AIDS-related deaths, 6.9% for non-AIDS defining cancer, 6.3% for external causes, and 3.2% for cardiovascular diseases. Among the youngest, 97.2% presented an AIDS-related cause of death. Highest frequency of deaths from neoplasms was among women and from external causes among men. There is a need for health services to implement strategies ensuring greater adherence to treatment, especially among men and young people. Moreover, screening for chronic diseases and cancer is essential, including the establishment of easily accessible multidisciplinary care centers that can identify and address habits such as illicit drug use and alcoholism, which are associated with violent deaths. Abstract Objective To evaluate whether antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) repairs bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ) modulated by the reduction of NF-kB protein in a murine model. Methodology Male Wistar rats (N=30) were divided into the following groups (n=6/group): negative control (NC); experimental osteonecrosis (ONE); ONE + photosensitizer (PS); ONE + photobiomodulation (PBM); and ONE + aPDT. Over 8 weeks, ONE was induced by zoledronic acid 250 µg/kg injections, except in the NC group, which received sterile 0.9% saline, followed by extraction of the lower left first molar. Red light laser irradiation (wavelength ~660 nm, power 50 mW, energy of 2 J, energy dose of 66.67 J/cm2 for 40 s) was performed once a week for 4 weeks. Methylene blue 0.3% was used as PS. The animals were euthanized and examined macroscopically for the presence of exposed bone and epithelial repair and microscopically by histochemical (hematoxylin-eosin and Masson’s trichrome staining) and immunohistochemical (anti-NF-kB) methods. Macroscopic and histomorphometric data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s post-test (p<0.05). Results Mucosal repair, viable osteocytes, and NF-kB immunostaining were observed in the NC, ONE+PS, ONE+PBM, and ONE+aPDT groups. The ONE group showed no mucosal repair, showing empty lacunae and multifocal immunostaining for NF-kB. The ONE+PBM and ONE+aPDT groups had greater deposition of extracellular matrix and less necrotic bone tissue (p<0.05). Conclusion PBM and aPDT treatments for BRONJ were effective for bone and epithelial repair, in addition to reducing inflammation mediated by the decrease of NF-kB protein in the irradiated regions. RESUMO Os tumores de parede torácicas são relativamente inusitados, representando 1 a 2% de todas as neoplasias, e cerca de 5% das neoplasias torácicas. Sarcomas são tumores raros e com apresentação heterogênea. São divididos em dois grandes grupos: tumores ósseos e de partes moles. A ocorrência na parede torácica é rara, representando 8% de todos os sarcomas. O tratamento de escolha é a ressecção com margens ampliadas e, quando ocorre a invasão de estruturas profundas, a toracectomia é indicada. A reconstrução do arcabouço ósseo é realizada com materiais de síntese, proporcionando estabilidade, e é seguida da reconstrução de partes moles com retalhos musculares, musculocutâneos ou locais ao acaso. Os tumores malignos primários da parede torácica correspondem a menos de 1% de todas as neoplasias e incluem grande variedade de lesões ósseas e de tecidos moles. ABSTRACT Chest wall tumors are relatively uncommon, representing 1 to 2% of all neoplasms, and approximately 5% of thoracic neoplasms. Sarcomas are rare tumors with heterogeneous presentation. They are divided into two large groups: bone and soft tissue tumors. Occurrence in the chest wall is rare, representing 8% of all sarcomas. The treatment of choice is resection with wide margins and, when invasion of deep structures occurs, thoracotomy is indicated. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the possible renal and hepatic alteration by root canal filling pastes in mice. Material and Methods: Fifty-four mice were divided into nine groups and received one polyethylene tube implant containing two filling pastes (CTZ or calcium hydroxide pastes). Empty polyethylene tubes were used as a negative control. All tubes were implanted subcutaneously in the back of the mice. After time intervals of 7, 21, and 63 days, 1.5 mL of blood was collected by cardiac puncture, and serum samples were used for serological testing. Urea, creatinine, aspartate transferase (AST), alanine transferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT) were evaluated. Data were analyzed by 2-way ANOVA (p<0.05). Results: When comparing CTZ and calcium hydroxide pastes and empty tubes and experimental time intervals, no significant differences in the results were found for any of the biochemical parameters analyzed (p>0.05). No differences were observed in the interactions (material*experimental time intervals) and the biochemical parameters analyzed (p>0.05). Conclusion: CTZ and calcium hydroxide pastes did not cause hepatic and renal alterations in mice, demonstrating the pastes' safety. RESUMO Objetivo: Descrever o processo de implantação das melhores práticas para assistência à amamentação de recém-nascido prematuro e de baixo peso. Método: Pesquisa participativa que utilizou a metodologia de implementação de evidências do JBI, realizada em hospital universitário no sudeste do Brasil, com participação de equipe multiprofissional e gestores. Etapas: diagnóstico situacional, auditoria de base e feedback, elaboração de protocolo, treinamentos, implementação e monitoramento. Resultados: Foram definidos sete critérios de auditoria. Na auditoria de base, três critérios se mostraram conformes, sendo elencadas onze barreiras para serem solucionadas. As estratégias realizadas foram elaboração de protocolo e treinamentos multidisciplinares e intersetoriais. Após as capacitações obteve-se conformidade dos sete critérios auditados na primeira auditoria de seguimento e de cinco na segunda, enfatizando o aumento da conformidade após concretização das estratégias traçadas. Conclusão: O projeto alcançou o objetivo de melhorar a prática baseada em evidências, e possibilitou a implementação do primeiro protocolo de amamentação da instituição, porém evidencia a necessidade de manutenção dos treinamentos para adesão e enculturação das novas práticas. ABSTRACT Objective: To describe the process of best practices implementation for breastfeeding assistance for preterm and low birth weight infants. Method: Participatory research that used the evidence implementation methodology of the JBI, held at a university hospital in southeastern Brazil, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team and managers. Stages: Situational diagnosis, baseline audit and feedback, protocol development, training, implementation, and monitoring. Results: Seven audit criteria were defined. In the baseline audit, three criteria were met, with eleven barriers to be resolved being listed. The strategies carried out were protocol development and multidisciplinary and intersectoral training. After the training, compliance was achieved with the seven criteria audited in the first follow-up audit and five in the second, emphasizing the increase in compliance after the implementation of the outlined strategies. Conclusion: The project achieved the objective of improving evidence-based practice, and allowed the implementation of the institution's first breastfeeding protocol. However, it shows the need to maintain training for adherence and enculturation of new practices. Resumo Objetivo: avaliar a telenfermagem como tecnologia de apoio na transição do cuidado às pessoas idosas e seus cuidadores no contexto da atenção domiciliar na pandemia COVID-19. Método: estudo quase experimental tipo antes-depois, não randomizado, com 219 pessoas idosas e com cuidadores do serviço de atenção domiciliar, divididos em 131 no grupo intervenção e 88 no grupo controle. Foi realizado tratamento analítico, estatísticas descritivas e inferenciais. Resultados: foram realizadas 1691 ligações, sendo 1515 para o grupo intervenção e 176 para o controle. Observou-se que na primeira ligação há maior necessidade de intervenções para promoção da saúde e que essa quantidade diminui ao longo das ligações com resultado significativo (p-valor < 0,001). Os desfechos analisados foram internação, óbito, alta ou continuação do serviço de atenção domiciliar e observou-se que a chance de alta do serviço foi nove vezes maior no grupo intervenção. A continuidade do cuidado do serviço de atenção domiciliar e alta após o término das ligações também foram significativos (p-valor < 0,001). Conclusão: a telenfermagem foi uma tecnologia de apoio ao cuidado, principalmente para a promoção da saúde e na alta do serviço de atendimento domiciliar. Objetivo COVID19. Abstract Objective: to evaluate telenursing as a support technology in the transition of care for elderly people and their caregivers in the context of home care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: quasi-experimental before-after, non-randomized study, with 219 elderly people and caregivers from the home care service, divided into 131 in the intervention groups and 88 in the control group. Analytical treatment, descriptive and inferential statistics were carried out. Results: 1691 calls were made, 1515 to the intervention group and 176 to the control group. Resumen Objetivo: evaluar la teleenfermería como tecnología de apoyo en la transición del cuidado a las personas mayores y sus cuidadores en el contexto de la atención domiciliaria durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Método: estudio cuasi experimental tipo antes-después, no aleatorizado, con 219 personas mayores y con cuidadores del servicio de atención domiciliaria, divididos en 131 en el grupo de intervención y 88 en el grupo de control. Se realizó tratamiento analítico, estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales. Resultados: se realizaron 1691 llamadas, siendo 1515 para el grupo de intervención y 176 para el control. Se observó que en la primera llamada hay una mayor necesidad de intervenciones para la promoción de la salud y que esa cantidad disminuye a lo largo de las llamadas con resultado significativo (p-valor < 0,001). Los desenlaces analizados fueron hospitalización, fallecimiento, alta o continuación del servicio de atención domiciliaria y se observó que la probabilidad de alta del servicio fue nueve veces mayor en el grupo de intervención. RESUMO Objetivos: analisar os fatores associados ao conhecimento de universitários sobre o HIV e as profilaxias pré e pós-exposição. Métodos: estudo transversal realizado com 503 universitários de um estado do sul do Brasil, cujos dados foram coletados por meio de um instrumento de caracterização e um questionário contendo 16 afirmativas sobre o tema; na análise, utilizaram-se medidas descritivas e modelos de regressão de Poisson com variância robusta. Resultados: a prevalência de conhecimento adequado (ou seja, mais de 12 acertos) foi de 27,83%; os universitários com idade superior a 24 anos, dos cursos da área de saúde, que não tiveram relações sexuais no último trimestre, com histórico de teste rápido para HIV e que sabiam ou já tinham ouvido falar sobre as profilaxias apresentaram maior probabilidade de obter mais de 12 acertos. Conclusões: verificou-se que, de modo geral, o conhecimento dos jovens sobre o HIV e suas profilaxias foi inadequado e influenciado por fatores sociodemográficos, educacionais e comportamentais. ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the factors associated with university students’ knowledge about HIV and pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis. Methods: a cross-sectional study was conducted with 503 university students from a southern state in Brazil; data were collected using a characterization tool and a questionnaire containing 16 statements about the topic; descriptive measures and Poisson regression models with robust variance were used for analysis. Results: the prevalence of adequate knowledge (i.e., scoring more than 12 correct answers) was 27.83%; students older than 24 years, enrolled in health-related courses, who had not engaged in sexual relations in the last quarter, with a history of rapid HIV testing, and who knew or had heard about the prophylaxes showed a higher likelihood of scoring more than 12 correct answers. Conclusions: generally, the knowledge of young people about HIV and its prophylaxes was found to be inadequate and influenced by sociodemographic, educational, and behavioral factors. RESUMEN Objetivos: analizar los factores asociados con el conocimiento de los estudiantes universitarios sobre el VIH y la profilaxis pre y post exposición. Métodos: se realizó un estudio transversal con 503 estudiantes universitarios de un estado del sur de Brasil; los datos se recopilaron utilizando una herramienta de caracterización y un cuestionario que contenía 16 declaraciones sobre el tema; se utilizaron medidas descriptivas y modelos de regresión de Poisson con varianza robusta para el análisis. Resultados: la prevalencia de conocimiento adecuado (es decir, obtener más de 12 respuestas correctas) fue del 27.83%; los estudiantes mayores de 24 años, matriculados en cursos relacionados con la salud, que no habían tenido relaciones sexuales en el último trimestre, con antecedentes de pruebas rápidas de VIH y que conocían o habían oído hablar sobre las profilaxis mostraron una mayor probabilidad de obtener más de 12 respuestas correctas. Conclusiones: en general, se encontró que el conocimiento de los jóvenes sobre el VIH y sus profilaxis era inadecuado e influenciado por factores sociodemográficos, educativos y conductuales. ABSTRACT The cultivation of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is of great importance to the national economy since they are grown in almost all regions of Brazil and the use of biostimulants based on phytohormones and plant vitamins can improve the yield of the crop. This work aimed to evaluate the effects of the application of the vitamin nicotinamide and phytohormones as biostimulants on bean plants. The experimental design was carried out in randomized blocks in a 2 x 5 factorial scheme with 4 replicates. The treatments consisted of the application of five doses of nicotinamide (0, 200, 400, 600 and 800 mg L-1) in the presence or absence of phytohormones containing auxin, gibberellin and cytokinin. The growth characteristics, production components and productivity of the bean grains were evaluated. The use of phytohormones and nicotinamide alone or together favored the growth, production components and grain productivity of the bean plant. The range of 366 to 469 mL L-1 nicotinamide achieved the highest values for the growth variables, production components and grain productivity of the bean plant, with 414 mL L-1 being the most suitable to achieve higher grain productivity. RESUMO O estudo investigou as habilidades sociais (HS) presentes nas interações entre personagens de livros infantis. A amostra foi composta por 77 obras. Desse total, 42 livros apresentaram 168 situações de interações entre personagens que foram categorizadas segundo o sistema de classes e subclasses das HS na infância propostas por Z. Del Prette e Del Prette. A classe Assertividade (56) foi identificada em maior frequência e fazer e recusar pedidos, subclasse desta categoria, foi a que obteve mais interações (20). A classe Civilidade (16) apresentou a menor frequência. Sugere-se que a literatura infantil possa ser usada como recurso psicoeducativo para aquisição das HS desde a infância e servir como uma ferramenta indispensável no processo do letramento e alfabetização dos alunos nas séries iniciais. ABSTRACT The study investigated the social skills (SS) present in interactions among characters in children’s books. The sample consisted of 77 works. In this way, 42 books presented 168 situations of interactions among characters that were categorized according to the system of classes and subclasses of HS in childhood proposed by Z.
