Abstract Mexican native maize (Zea mays L.) is an emblematic food for Mexico, as it represents an important factor in terms of local economy, culture and biodiversity. Biotechnological techniques using plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) are a sustainable alternative to the use of chemical agricultural inputs for corn production; however, it is important to emphasize that the ideal is to use native PGPB into the soil and/or crop where they are to be applied, since this ensures the PGPB adaptation and guarantees the colonization of the rhizosphere, improving crop yields. Therefore, the objective of the present work was to isolate native bacteria from soils cultivated with Mexican native maize and to demonstrate their biotechnological potential as PGPB in corn. Soil samples were taken from the municipality of Jiquilpan, Michoacán, Mexico and 40 isolates were obtained, of which 18 showed more than 90% germination of maize seeds. In addition, four isolates showed increases of 20 to 30 % in total shoot length and increases of 25 to 100 % in total plant dry weight. The mechanisms associated with maize growth promotion were phosphate solubilization, indole acetic acid and siderophore production, as well as antagonism against phytopathogenic fungi (Penicillium, Rhizopus, Fusarium and Colletotrichum). Therefore, we conclude that the native PGPB isolated in the present study have biotechnological potential for use in Mexican native maize in the region.

Abstract: The study of accounts regarding the forging of teachers’ identities during teacher’s training seeks to promote a critical perspective that contributes to educational justice and reflection on the interaction with the communities involved in the teachers’ training process. In this context, the study sought to analyze the teachers’ identity construction process in initial teacher’s training through the study of the practices of legitimation, recognition and participation, and the social justice for action approach identified in the autobiographical accounts and experiences of their formative process. Twelve trainee teachers in their last year of initial training at a university in Santiago, Chile, participated. The results show that trainee teachers have notions of social justice for action related to the transformation of socio-educational environments; however, we found that there are contextual limitations related to their participation and autonomy, which have an impact on their teaching agency and their perception of being a teacher. In conclusion, the review of the conditions and meanings of practical training in teachers’ training programs becomes relevant because they are linked to the identity construction process of teachers from and for social justice.

Abstract Associations between the WNT5A rs566926 variant and non-syndromic orofacial cleft (NSOC) have been reported in different populations. Objective This study aimed to investigate the role of the rs566926 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in WNT5A and its interactions with SNPs in BMP4, FGFR1, GREM1, MMP2, and WNT3 in the occurrence of NSOC in a Brazilian population. Methodology A case-control genetic association study was carried out involving participants from four regions of Brazil, totaling 801 patients with non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL±P), 273 patients with cleft palate only (NSCPO), and 881 health volunteers without any congenital condition (control). Applying TaqMan allelic discrimination assays, we evaluated WNT5A rs566926 in an ancestry-structured multiple logistic regression analysis, considering sex and genomic ancestry as covariates. Interactions between rs566926 and variants in genes involved in the WNT5A signaling pathway (BMP4, FGFR1, GREM1, MMP2, and WNT3) were also explored. Results WNT5A rs566926 was significantly associated with an increased risk of NSCL±P, particularly due to a strong association with non-syndromic cleft lip only (NSCLO), in which the C allele increased the risk by 32% (OR: 1.32, 95% CI: 1.04–1.67, p=0.01). According to the proportions of European and African genomic ancestry, the association of rs566926 reached significant levels only in patients with European ancestry. Multiple interactions were detected between WNT5A rs566926 and BMP4 rs2071047, GREM1 rs16969681 and rs16969862, and FGFR1 rs7829058. Conclusion The WNT5A rs566926 polymorphism was associated with NSCL±P, particularly in individuals with NSCLO and high European ancestry. Epistatic interactions involving WNT5A rs566926 and variants in BMP4, GREM1, and FGFR1 may contribute to the risk of NSCL±P in the Brazilian population. Abstract. The invasion of non-native species is one of the main threats to biodiversity conservation and the provision of ecosystem services. Mangroves are one of the most vulnerable ecosystems worldwide due to invasive alien species (IAS), as they can destabilize the structure and function of trophic webs and reduce their primary productivity, mainly through competition and predation of native species. In this paper, an analysis of biodiversity information systems and scientific literature were used to determine the presence of IAS within the mangrove forests of the Ria Celestún and Ría Lagartos biosphere reserves in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico; the level of risk of IAS was identified according to the rapid invasiveness assessment method, and information was generated on the implications of IAS in mangrove forests. In both natural protected areas (NPAs), 16 IAS were found, of which 56.25% had a "very high" invasiveness risk value, and 43.75% had a “high” invasiveness risk, which implies a danger alert for mangrove forests in the NPAs. The information generated in this study can be used to identify strategies for managing IAS and the conservation of mangrove forests in NPAs.

SUMMARY The Sexual Desire Inventory 2 is a self-report instrument for assessing sexual desire in men and women. In Brazil, there is no validated sexual desire self-report for the adult population. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the evidence of validity for the content and construct of the Brazilian online version of the Sexual Desire Inventory 2. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with Brazilian men and women. The sample size was calculated using the criterion of more than 20 participants per item. The invitation to participate in the study was conducted online by the platform Survey Monkey®. The Sexual Desire Inventory 2 was evaluated for content, construct, reliability, and invariance. Results: A total of 818 female and male adults participated in the study. The two-dimensional factorial solution represented 71% of the total variance explained by the model, and the factorial loads of the model were ≥0.40; commonalities presented values ≥0.23. Reliability was measured by the coefficients of Cronbach's alpha with a total score of 0.87, McDonald's of 0.87, Omega, and greatest lower bound with a total score of 0.95. The metric invariance was tested for the sex variables ΔCFI (comparative fit index) and ΔRMSEA (root mean square error of approximation) with a total score of 0.01. Conclusion: The analyses indicate evidence of robust validity in the Brazilian online version of the Sexual Desire Inventory 2. selfreport self report women Brazil population Objective Methods crosssectional cross sectional item Monkey Monkey® reliability Results 81 twodimensional two dimensional 71 ≥0.40 040 0 40 023 23 ≥0.23 Cronbachs Cronbach s 087 87 0.87 McDonalds McDonald Omega 095 95 0.95 comparative index root approximation 001 01 0.01 Conclusion 8 7 ≥0.4 04 4 02 ≥0.2 08 0.8 09 9 0.9 00 0.0 ≥0. 0. ≥0 ≥

ABSTRACT The limited temporal completeness and taxonomic accuracy of species lists, made available in a traditional manner in scientific publications, has always represented a problem. These lists are invariably limited to a few taxonomic groups and do not represent up-to-date knowledge of all species and classifications. In this context, the Brazilian megadiverse fauna is no exception, and the Catálogo Taxonômico da Fauna do Brasil (CTFB) (http://fauna.jbrj.gov.br/), made public in 2015, represents a database on biodiversity anchored on a list of valid and expertly recognized scientific names of animals in Brazil. The CTFB is updated in near real time by a team of more than 800 specialists. By January 1, 2024, the CTFB compiled 133,691 nominal species, with 125,138 that were considered valid. Most of the valid species were arthropods (82.3%, with more than 102,000 species) and chordates (7.69%, with over 11,000 species). These taxa were followed by a cluster composed of Mollusca (3,567 species), Platyhelminthes (2,292 species), Annelida (1,833 species), and Nematoda (1,447 species). All remaining groups had less than 1,000 species reported in Brazil, with Cnidaria (831 species), Porifera (628 species), Rotifera (606 species), and Bryozoa (520 species) representing those with more than 500 species. Analysis of the CTFB database can facilitate and direct efforts towards the discovery of new species in Brazil, but it is also fundamental in providing the best available list of valid nominal species to users, including those in science, health, conservation efforts, and any initiative involving animals. The importance of the CTFB is evidenced by the elevated number of citations in the scientific literature in diverse areas of biology, law, anthropology, education, forensic science, and veterinary science, among others. publications problem uptodate up date classifications context exception (CTFB http//fauna.jbrj.gov.br/, httpfaunajbrjgovbr http //fauna.jbrj.gov.br/ , jbrj gov br (http://fauna.jbrj.gov.br/) 2015 Brazil 80 specialists 1 2024 133691 133 691 133,69 125138 125 138 125,13 82.3%, 823 82 3 (82.3% 102000 102 000 102,00 7.69%, 769 7 69 (7.69% 11000 11 11,00 . 3,567 3567 567 (3,56 2,292 2292 2 292 (2,29 1,833 1833 833 (1,83 1,447 1447 447 (1,44 1000 1,00 831 (83 628 (62 606 (60 520 (52 50 users science health biology law anthropology education others http//fauna.jbrj.gov.br/ faunajbrjgovbr //fauna.jbrj.gov.br (http://fauna.jbrj.gov.br/ 201 8 202 13369 13 133,6 12513 12 125,1 82.3% (82.3 10200 10 00 102,0 7.69% 76 6 (7.69 1100 11,0 3,56 356 56 (3,5 2,29 229 29 (2,2 1,83 183 83 (1,8 1,44 144 44 (1,4 100 1,0 (8 62 (6 60 52 (5 5 http//fauna.jbrj.gov.br (http://fauna.jbrj.gov.br 20 1336 133, 1251 125, 82.3 (82. 1020 0 102, 7.69 (7.6 110 11, 3,5 35 (3, 2,2 22 (2, 1,8 18 (1, 1,4 14 4 ( 82. ABSTRACT Objective: To traslate and validate of the Brazilian version of the SDI-2. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. The cultural adaptation considered the stages of initial translation, synthesis of translations, evaluation by a committee of experts from different regions of Brazil, back-translation, and pre-test. The content validity and psychometric proprieties was assessed. Results: Ten specialists participated in the cultural adaptation of the SDI-2. The content validity showed a Content Validity Ratio (CVR) ≥ 0.75 (p = 0.05). A total of 674 subjects participated in the field study. The Exploratory Factorial Analysis (EFA) presented factor loads ≥ 0.445, and commonalities ≥ 0.40; and two dimensions represented 77% of the total variance explained. The Confirmatory Factorial Analysis CFA presented X2/df = 4.265; the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation RMSEA = 0.110; the Non-Normed Fit Index NNFI = 0.946; the Comparative Fit Index (CFI) = 0.963; the Goodness of Fit Index GFI = 0.986; and the Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index AGFI = 0.979 for a two-factor model. The coefficient values for the total SDI-2 score were 0.91 for Cronbach's alpha, 0.91 for McDonald's Omega, and 0.97 for the Greatest Lower Bound GLB coefficients. The invariance between sexes was 0.01 for the ΔCFI and ΔRMSEA, showing model stability for these two populations. Conclusion: The Brazilian version of the SDI-2 is self-report, valid, reliable and invariant across sex. Objective SDI2.
Abstract The use of cold asphalt mixtures has aroused interest in recent years because it is a technique that reduces the use of fuels and thus the carbon footprint in the construction and maintenance of pavements, however its use has been limited in patching applications and low-traffic pavements, however, these mixtures have low resistance at an early age and high amounts of voids. The objective of this research was the development of a cold mixture with replacement of the mineral filler with ternary cementitious fillers that together form hydration products and provide greater resistance in the presence of water. The ternary cementitious fillers are composed of granulated blast furnace slag (EGAH), fly ash (CV) and an alkaline activator, Portland cement (CP) or calcium hydroxide (lime), in order to compare which of these activators provides greater performance different mixtures were prepared with partial and total substitution, to evaluate in three curing conditions and observe the behavior of the mixtures in the presence of water. It was proven that replacement with both types of cementitious fillers significantly reduces the effects of moisture at an early age. For the curing condition of 3 days at 25 °C, the reference sample obtained a loss of stability of 30,78 %, the samples with CP of 7,61 and 7,56 %, and those of lime with 13,83 and 16,39 %, have a lower loss of stability in all cases, this same pattern is maintained over time.

Abstract Introduction: In Mexico, cardiac rehabilitation (CR) as an interdisciplinary intervention with therapeutic impact in patients with heart disease is growing. There is the need to know actual conditions of CR in our country. Objectives: The objective of this National Registry is to follow-up those existing and new CR units in Mexico through the comparison between the two previous registries, RENAPREC-2009 and RENAPREC II-2015 studies. This is a descriptive study focused on diverse CR activities such as assistance training, and certification of health professionals, barriers, reference, population attended, interdisciplinarity, permanence over time, growth prospects, regulations, post-pandemic condition, integrative characteristics, and scientific research. Results: Data were collected from 45 CR centers in the 32 states, 75.5% are private practice units, 67% are new, 33% were part of RENAPREC II-2015, and 17 have continued since 2009. With a better distribution of CR units along the territory, the median reference of candidates for CR programs is 9% with a significant reduction into tiempo of enrollment to Phase II admission (19 ± 11 days). Regarding to previous registries, the coverance of Phases I, II, and III is 71%, 100%, and 93%, respectively; and a coverance increases in evaluation, risk stratification, and prescription, more comprehensive attendance and prevention strategies. Conclusions: CR in Mexico has grown in the past 7 years. Even there is still low reference and heterogeneity in specific processes, there are strengths such as interdisciplinarity, scientific professionalization of specialists, national diversification, and an official society that are consolidated over time.

Abstract The aim of this article is to analyze descriptively a teaching and learning experience focused on the writing of academic essays within a Chilean university. The epistemic, theoretical, and analytical perspective of the work establishes a dialog between symbolic-educational and emotions as specifiers of actions. Methodologically, four reflective logs written by students for seven weeks were analyzed and processed qualitatively with semantic and pragmatic clustering techniques. The results indicate the prevalence of emotional trajectories that shift progressively towards emotions that favor learning. This shift can be attributed to didactic mediation oriented towards agential visibility, the construction of an authorial voice, and the distribution of opportunities for participation in pedagogical communities of writing practice, the guiding principles of justice proposed in this scientific reflection.
