RESUMO O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar o desempenho agronômico e selecionar genótipos de sorgo biomassa para diferentes regiões do Brasil a partir da análise de adaptabilidade e estabilidade pelo método GGE Biplot. Foram avaliados 25 genótipos, que constituíram os ensaios de valor de cultivo e uso (VCU’s) de sorgo biomassa do Programa de Melhoramento da Embrapa Milho e Sorgo, conduzido em oito locais do Brasil (Sobral-CE, Jaguariúna-SP, Nova Porteirinha-MG, Planaltina-GO, Sete Lagoas-MG, Narandiba-SP, Vilhena-RO e Terra Rica-PR), na safra de 2021/2022. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, com três repetições. Foram realizadas as análises de variância conjuntas para as características altura de plantas, florescimento e produtividades de matéria verde e seca. Constada interação (GxA), procedeu-se a análise de adaptabilidade e estabilidade pelo método de GGE Biplot, para todas as características. Com os valores de médias ajustadas, foram obtidos os agrupamentos de médias pelo teste de Scott-Knott (p < 0.05). Os genótipos de sorgo biomassa apresentam maior ciclo, bem como altura e produtividade de biomassa superior a genótipos de sorgo forrageiro. Os híbridos experimentais 202129B014 e 202129B016, bem como o híbrido comercial BRS 716 podem ser recomendados para todos os ambientes, pois apresentam alta adaptabilidade e estabilidade para todos os ambientes para a produção de matéria verde e seca. ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance and select biomass sorghum genotypes for growing in different regions of Brazil based on adaptability and stability analysis using the GGE biplot method. The 25 genotypes evaluated were from trials of value for cultivation and use (VCU) of biomass sorghum of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa Maize and Sorghum) Breeding Program, conducted in eight locations across Brazil (Sobral, CE; Jaguariúna and Narandiba, SP; Nova Porteirinha and Sete Lagoas, MG; Planaltina, DF; Vilhena, RO; and Terra Rica, PR) during the 2021-2022 crop season. A randomized block experimental design with three replications was used. The following traits of were subjected to joint analysis of variance: plant height, flowering, and fresh and dry matter yields. The confirmation of genotype-by-environment interaction (G×E) was followed by adaptability and stability analysis using the GGE biplot method for all traits. The adjusted means were used to obtain the mean clustering using the Scott-Knott test (p < 0.05). Biomass sorghum genotypes showed a longer growth cycle, taller plants, and higher biomass yield than forage sorghum genotypes. OBJETIVOS: Investigar as principais dimensões relacionadas com a satisfação do paciente geriátrico com o tratamento fisioterapêutico ambulatorial e avaliar a consistência interna das medidas obtidas no instrumento de avaliação. MÉTODOS: Foi utilizado o instrumento de avaliação da satisfação do paciente com a fisioterapia, desenvolvido e validado para a população brasileira por Mendonça e Guerra (2007), com escala de avaliação da satisfação de 23 itens. Os dados foram coletados na sala de espera de 29 clínicas de Fisioterapia da rede privada de Natal, capital do RN/Brasil. A amostra do estudo foi selecionada de forma não-probabilística e constou de 221 pacientes com idade igual ou superior a 60 anos, com realização de 5 a 60 sessões de fisioterapia naqueles estabelecimentos, sendo usuários de plano de saúde e com condições cognitivas preservadas. RESULTADOS: Quatro fatores com autovalor maior que 1 foram retidos na análise fatorial: interação paciente-terapeuta; acesso e atendimento de recepcionista e pessoal de apoio; ambiente físico e satisfação global e conveniência. Os itens relacionados com a interação paciente-terapeuta apresentaram as mais altas confiabilidades, assim como mais elevados escores de satisfação completa, especialmente o respeito e a gentileza do fisioterapeuta (85,5%). A confiabilidade calculada para as medidas obtidas com o instrumento, por meio do Coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach e direcionado a população geriátrica, estabeleceu α=0,943. CONCLUSÕES: O fisioterapeuta deve dar suporte a esses pacientes não apenas com sua qualidade técnica, mas também enfatizando o apoio afetivo e um favorável relacionamento interpessoal, os quais foram aspectos mais representativos da satisfação do paciente idoso com o cuidado de sua saúde.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the main dimensions with respect to the satisfaction of geriatric patients undergoing outpatient physical therapy and assess the internal consistency of the measures obtained in the assessment instrument. METHODS: An assessment instrument measuring patient satisfaction with physical therapy was used. The instrument contains a 23-item patient satisfaction scale and was developed and validated for the Brazilian population by Mendonça and Guerra (2007). The data were collected in the waiting room of 29 private physical therapy clinics in Natal, the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The non-probability sample consisted of 221 cognitively healthy patients aged 60 years and older, who possessed health insurance and who had undergone between 5 and 60 physical therapy sessions at the participating clinics. RESULTS: Four factors with an autovalue greater than 1 were retained in the factorial analysis: patient-therapist interaction; access and assistance by the receptionist and support personnel; physical environment and overall satisfaction; and convenience. The items related to patient-therapist interaction showed the highest reliability and highest complete satisfaction scores, especially the respect and courtesy of the physical therapist (85.5%). The reliability of the measures obtained with the instrument, using Cronbach's alpha coefficient and directed toward the geriatric population, was α=0.943. CONCLUSIONS: Physical therapists must give support to these patients, not only through their technical skills, but also by emphasizing an attentive and favorable interpersonal relationship, which were the most reported aspects of older adult patient satisfaction with health care.

OBJETIVOS: Realizar a tradução e a adaptação transcultural de um instrumento de medida do desempenho das atividades de vida diária de pacientes com a doença de Alzheimer e analisar as suas propriedades psicométricas. MÉTODOS: A amostra foi composta por 60 pacientes e os respectivos 60 cuidadores. A pesquisa ocorreu com a tradução do instrumento pela técnica de retrotradução associada ao método bilíngue. A versão traduzida foi respondida pelo cuidador e o Mini Exame do Estado Mental (MEEM) aplicado ao paciente. A análise psicométrica foi realizada por meio da validade das medidas do instrumento. RESULTADOS: Os resultados verificaram uma correlação inversamente significativa (-0,793) ao nível de 5% entre os instrumentos, com uma explicação da variância total de 62%. As matrizes de correlação interitens demonstraram que alguns itens se correlacionam com as medidas globais de capacidade funcional de forma pouco positiva e significante. A correlação realizada entre os itens do instrumento traduzido com o MEEM permitiu testar a coerência interna do instrumento com um já validado. As variáveis correlacionadas significativamente com o MEEM foram selecionadas, sugerindo um instrumento mais condensado. Por meio do teste t para amostras correlacionadas, as médias do ADLQ-versão traduzida e versão condensada não diferem estatisticamente ao nível de 5% de significância, de forma que a simplificação do instrumento não alterou a média do nível de dependência funcional. A análise fatorial realizada pela rotação Varimax indicou seis dimensões. CONCLUSÃO: O estudo disponibiliza uma nova ferramenta de avaliação funcional, visando contribuir para a mensuração mais cuidadosa do estado funcional do paciente por todos os profissionais da área da saúde.

OBJECTIVES: To translate and cross-culturally adapt an instrument that measures the performance of Alzheimer's patients in their activities of daily living and to analyze the psychometric properties of the instrument. METHODS: The sample consisted of 60 patients and their 60 respective caregivers. The instrument was translated using the back-translation technique in association with the bilingual method. The caregivers gave responses to the translated version, and the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) was applied to the patients. Psychometric analysis was conducted by means of the validity of the instrument measures. RESULTS: The results showed an inversely significant correlation (-0.793) at the 5% level between the instruments, and 62% of the total variance was explained. The inter-item correlation matrices demonstrated that some items correlated with the overall measurements of functional capacity in a slightly positive, non-significant manner. Correlation between the items of the translated instrument and the MMSE made it possible to test the internal coherence of the instrument with an already validated instrument. The variables that correlated significantly with the MMSE were selected, thus suggesting that the instrument could be further condensed. The t test for correlated items showed that the measures of the translated ADLQ version and the condensed version did not differ statistically at a significance level of 5%, such that the simplification of the instrument did not change the mean level of functional dependency. Factorial analysis carried out using varimax rotation indicated six dimensions. CONCLUSION: This study introduces a new functional assessment tool with the aim of contributing to a more precise measurement of the patient's functional status by all healthcare professionals.

OBJETIVO: Desenvolver e validar um instrumento de medida da satisfação do paciente com o tratamento fisioterapêutico e também identificar seus principais indicadores. MÉTODO: A amostra foi composta por 834 pacientes ambulatoriais de ambos os sexos, com idade média de 46,7 anos e usuários de planos de saúde, que responderam o questionário em 45 clínicas da rede privada de saúde nos municípios de Natal e Mossoró/RN - Brasil. A pesquisa ocorreu desde o processo de desenvolvimento do instrumento até o estudo das suas propriedades psicométricas. A análise qualitativa da amostra inicial de itens do questionário ocorreu por meio de sua apreciação por especialistas. Um estudo piloto precedeu o refinamento do questionário previamente à coleta dos dados. A análise psicométrica (avaliação do teste desenvolvido) foi realizada por meio do estudo da confiabilidade e validade das medidas obtidas com o instrumento. RESULTADOS: Os resultados alcançados para a confiabilidade, por meio do Coeficient alfa de Cronbach (alfa = 0,94), e validades de conteúdo, simultânea e de construto, demonstraram elevada consistência interna e satisfatória validade segundo padrões psicométricos da satisfação do paciente com a fisioterapia. A análise fatorial indicou quatro dimensões em que a interação paciente-terapeuta, especialmente as questões relativas às habilidades de comunicação do fisioterapeuta, parecem ser os melhores indicadores de satisfação. Aspectos relativos à conveniência, como localização da clínica e disponibilidade do estacionamento, não indicaram forte predição de satisfação com a assistência recebida. CONCLUSÃO: O estudo disponibiliza nova ferramenta para auxiliar na gerência e no processo de planejamento necessários ao incremento da qualidade nos serviços de fisioterapia.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate an instrument for measuring patient satisfaction with physical therapy, and to identify the most important satisfaction indicators. METHOD: The sample was composed of 834 outpatients of both sexes with mean age of 46.7 years who were health plan users at 45 private health clinics in Natal and Mossoró, State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and who answered a questionnaire. The study covered the process of developing the instrument as well as the analysis of its psychometric properties. Qualitative analysis on the initial sample of items in the questionnaire was performed by a panel of specialists. A pilot study preceded refinement of the questionnaire and was carried out prior to data collection. Psychometric analysis (evaluation of the test that was developed) was performed by means of studying the reliability and validity of the measures obtained with the instrument. RESULTS: The results achieved in relation to reliability, by means of Cronbach's alpha coefficient (alpha = 0.94), and content, simultaneous, and construct validities showed high internal consistency and satisfactory validity according to psychometric standards for patient satisfaction with physical therapy. Factorial analysis indicated the existence of four dimensions in which patient-therapist interaction, especially regarding the physical therapist's communication skills, seem to be the best indicators of satisfaction. Aspects related to personal convenience, such as location of the clinic and availability of parking, were not strongly predictive of satisfaction with the care received. CONCLUSION: This study makes available a new tool to contribute to management and to the planning process necessary for improving the quality of physical therapy services.

This work examines the results of incorporating into Automatic Speech Recognition the syllable units for the Spanish language. Because of the boundaries between phonemes-like units its often difficult to elicit them; the use of these has not reached a good performance in Automatic Speech Recognition. In the course of the developing the experiments three approaches for the segmentation task were examined: a) the using of the Short Term Total Energy Function, b) the Energy Function of the Cepstral High Frequency (named ERO parameter), and c) a Knowledge Based System. They represent the most important contributions of this work; they showed good results for the Continuous and Discontinuous speech corpus developed in laboratory. The Knowledge Based System and Short Term Total Energy Function were used in a digit corpus where the results achieved using Short Term Total Energy Function alone reached 90.58% recognition rate. When Short Term Total Energy Function and RO parameters were used a 94.70% recognition rate was achieved. Otherwise, in the continuous speech corpus created in the laboratory the results achieved a 78.5% recognition rate using Short Term Total Energy Function and Knowledge Based System, and 80.5% recognition rate using the three approaches mentioned above. The bigram model language and Continuous Density Hidden Markov Models with three and five states incorporating three Gaussian Mixtures for state were implemented. By further including a major number of digital filters and Artificial Intelligent techniques in the training and recognition stages respectively the results can be improved even more. This research showed the potential of the syllabic unit paradigm for the Automatic Speech Recognition for the Spanish language. Finally, the inference rules in the Knowledge Based System associated with rules for splitting words in syllables in the cited language were created.

Actualmente el uso de los fonemas tiene implícita varias dificultades debido a que la identificación de las fronteras entre ellos por lo regular es difícil de encontrar en representaciones acústicas de voz. El presente trabajo plantea una alternativa a la forma en la que el reconocimiento de voz se ha estado implementando desde hace ya bastante tiempo, analizando la forma en la cual el paradigma de la sílaba responde a tal labor dentro del español. Durante los experimentos realizados fueron examinados para la tarea de segmentación tres elementos esenciales: a) la Función de Energía Total en Corto Tiempo, b) la Función de Energía de altas frecuencias Cepstrales (conocida como Energía del parámetro RO), y c) un Sistema Basado en Conocimiento. Tanto el Sistema Basado en Conocimiento y la Función de Energía Total en Corto Tiempo fueron usados en un corpus de dígitos en donde los resultados alcanzados usando sólo la Función de Energía Total en Corto Tiempo, fueron de 90.58%. Cuando se utilizaron los parámetros Función de Energía Total en Corto Tiempo y la Energía del parámetro RO se obtuvo un 94.70% de razón de reconocimiento. Lo cual causa un incremento del 5% con relación al uso de palabras completas en un corpus de voz dependiente de contexto. Por otro lado, cuando se utilizó un corpus de laboratorio del habla continua al usar la Función de Energía Total en Corto Tiempo y el Sistema Basado en Conocimiento, se alcanzó un 78.5% de razón de reconocimiento y un 80.5% de reconocimiento al usar los tres parámetros anteriores. El modelo del lenguaje utilizado para este caso fue el bigram y se utilizaron Cadenas Ocultas de Markov de densidad continua con tres y cinco estados, con 3 mixturas Gaussianas por estado.
