Abstract Sjogren’s disease (SjD) is an autoimmune disease that is characterized not only by the sicca symptoms it causes but also by its systemic nature, which is capable of several and not yet fully understood extraglandular manifestations. To gain a clearer understanding of these manifestations as well as a better practical approach, a panel of experts from the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the identification of epidemiologic and clinical features of the extraglandular manifestations present in ESSDAI (EULAR Sjogren´s syndrome disease activity index), followed by a voting panel with recommendations for clinical practice. This publication is complementary to others already published and covers cutaneous and hematological manifestations, with prevalence data generated by a meta-analysis of 13 clinical or laboratory manifestations and 6 clinical management recommendations. Abstract Sjogren's syndrome (SS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of the exocrine glands and other organs, associated with sicca syndrome but also with systemic involvement with varying degrees of severity. Despite their importance, some systemic manifestations, mainly liver, gastrointestinal, and pancreatic are not routinely evaluated. To address these manifestations, the Sjögren's Syndrome Committee of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology conducted a broad systematic review of the literature on studies investigating prevalence and diagnosis of these symptoms in Sjogren´s patients and made recommendations based on the findings. Agreement between the experts was achieved using the Delphi method. This is the second part of this guideline, providing 6 recommendations for liver, gastrointestinal, and pancreatic care of SS patients.

To close this gap, a panel of experts from the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the identification of epidemiologic and clinical features of these manifestations and made recommendations based on the findings. Agreement between the experts was achieved using the Delphi method. The first part of this guideline summarizes the most important topics, and 11 recommendations are provided for the articular, pulmonary, and renal care of SS patients.

RESUMO: No cenário educacional contemporâneo, marcado pela globalização e valorização da formação acadêmica, imigrantes saem de seus países em busca de melhores oportunidades educacionais. Ao se deslocarem de seus lugares de pertença, estes imigrantes têm que lidar com a distância dos referenciais culturais e sociais que norteavam o seu dia a dia e com a diferença cultural e educacional do novo contexto, o que, por sua vez, pode gerar um estado de vulnerabilidade psíquica e sofrimento. Diante de tal problemática, nosso objetivo nesta pesquisa foi compreender os impactos da migração internacional na saúde mental de estudantes de graduação da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA). Para tal, buscamos identificar quais são os fatores de risco pré e pós-migratórios à saúde mental dos estudantes, os sintomas psíquicos pós-migração e os fatores de proteção pré e pós-migratórios. Seguimos o viés epistemológico da investigação qualitativa, de caráter descritivo, exploratório e transversal. Para coleta de dados, utilizamos formulário sociodemográfico intercultural e entrevista semiestruturada. A sistematização foi realizada via técnica de análise de conteúdo. Dificuldades foram encontradas pelos participantes, mas a imigração/mobilidade acadêmica também se mostrou como possibilidade de continuidade de um projeto de vida.

ABSTRACT: In contemporary educational scenario, marked by globalization and the valuing of academic education, immigrants leave their place of origin seeking better educational opportunities. When moving from their home countries, these immigrants will have to deal with the distance from the cultural and social references that guided their daily life and with the cultural and educational difference of the new context, which in turn, can generate a state of psychic vulnerability and suffering. Faced with this problem, this research aimed to understand the impacts of international migration on the mental health of undergraduate students at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA). To this end, we sought to identify the pre and post-migratory risk factors for students' mental health, post-migration psychological symptoms, and pre- and post-migratory protective factors. We conducted a qualitative investigation, with a descriptive, exploratory, and transversal character. For data collection, we used an intercultural sociodemographic form and semi-structured interviews. We systematized the results using the content analysis technique. Participants pointed out the difficulties they found, but immigration/academic mobility was also seen as the possibility to continue a life project.

RESÚMEN: En el escenario educativo contemporáneo, marcado por la globalización y la valorización de la formación académica, los inmigrantes salen de sus países en busca de mejores oportunidades educativas. Al trasladarse de sus lugares de pertenencia, estos inmigrantes tienen que lidiar con la distancia de los referentes culturales y sociales que guiaron su vida cotidiana y con la diferencia cultural y educativa del nuevo contexto, lo que, a su vez, puede generar un estado de vulnerabilidad psíquica y sufrimiento. Ante esta problemática, nuestro objetivo en esta investigación fue comprender los impactos de la migración internacional en la salud mental de los estudiantes de pregrado de la Universidad Federal de la Integración Latinoamericana (UNILA). Para ello, se buscó identificar los factores de riesgo pre y post-migratorios para la salud mental de los estudiantes, los síntomas psicológicos post-migratorios y los factores de protección pre y post-migratorios. Seguimos el sesgo epistemológico de la investigación cualitativa, con carácter descriptivo, exploratorio y transversal. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizó un formulario sociodemográfico intercultural y una entrevista semiestructurada. La sistematización se realizó mediante la técnica de análisis de contenido. Los participantes encontraron dificultades, pero la inmigración/movilidad académica también se mostró como una posibilidad para la continuidad de un proyecto de vida.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the positioning of the distal tip of central venous catheters and the factors that contributed to inadequate positioning in patients admitted to intensive care. Methods This is a cross-sectional study, with a sample of 246 medical records of patients admitted to intensive care units. A catheter position analysis form was used as an instrument for data collection. Results It was seen that 86.2% of catheters used in intensive care were centrally inserted in the internal jugular veins, 74.4% were double-lumen catheter, and ultrasound was employed for puncture technique in 84.6% of cases. Of the distal ends of the catheters, 53.7% were at the cavoatrial junction (correct position). According to statistical tests, there was a positive correlation between the inadequate positioning of the distal extremity with the central insertion catheter (p=0.012). Patients with presumptive diagnosis associated with COVID-19 showed a positive correlation with inappropriate positioning of the catheter distal tip (p=0.017). Conclusion There are extrinsic factors related to improper positioning of the distal tip of catheters, such as the type of catheter used, the patients’ diagnosis and the puncture with insertion in the left jugular vein.

Resumo. A imigração involuntária implica em rupturas de projetos de vida. As principais possibilidades de integração no país de acolhimento atravessam o trabalho e a educação. Este artigo visa analisar os impactos psicológicos da imigração em imigrantes haitianos, venezuelanos e sírios cujos projetos de vida acadêmica passaram a ser vislumbrados no Brasil. Para tanto, dez imigrantes participaram deste estudo. Utilizou-se um formulário sociodemográfico intercultural e entrevista semiestruturada que foram analisadas via técnica de análise de conteúdo. Impactos psicológicos da imigração involuntária foram associados às experiências de discriminações e de rupturas de projetos de vida e com a cultura de origem. Além disso, frustrações oriundas da ruptura educacional, de revalidação de diploma e de inclusão universitária foram evidenciados. Entretanto, o sentimento de esperança e a possibilidade de recomeço pela via educacional foram destacados, reforçando a importância da criação e manutenção de políticas de inclusão de imigrantes involuntários nas universidades brasileiras.

Abstract. Involuntary immigration implies disruption of life projects. The main possibilities for integration in the host country involve work and education. This article aims to analyze the psychological impacts of immigration on Haitian, Venezuelan and Syrian immigrants whose academic life projects began to be glimpsed in Brazil. Therefore, ten immigrants participated in this study. An intercultural sociodemographic form and a semi-structured interview were used, which were analyzed using the content analysis technique. Psychological impacts of involuntary immigration were associated with experiences of discrimination and ruptures in life projects and with the culture of origin. In addition, frustrations arising from educational disruption, revalidation of diplomas and university inclusion were evidenced. However, the feeling of hope and the possibility of starting over through education were highlighted, reinforcing the importance of creating and maintaining policies for the inclusion of involuntary immigrants in Brazilian universities.

Abstract Sjogren’s syndrome (SS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of the exocrine glands and other organs. Women with SS often experience gynecological symptoms due to the disease and need extra care regarding their sexual activity, reproductive health and during pregnancy, conditions that are not properly conducted in the clinical practice. To cover this gap, a panel of experts from the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the identification of symptoms, diagnosis, monitoring, prognosis, and treatment of these manifestations. A Focus Group meeting was held and included experts in the field and methodologists, based on a previously developed script, with themes related to the objective of the study. The most important topics were summarized and 11 recommendations were provided.

Apesar das variedades crioulas favorecerem a autonomia no processo produtivo na agricultura familiar, tem-se observado o seu abandono ao elevar-se o nível tecnológico empregado na lavoura, acreditando-se que apenas os cultivares modernos apresentam retorno econômico. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a influência de diferentes sistemas tecnológicos de manejo sobre os caracteres agronômicos de milho, provenientes de duas variedades crioulas ('Argentino' e 'BR da Várzea') e de dois híbridos. Os sistemas de manejo foram classificados como baixo, médio e alto nível tecnológico. O experimento foi conduzido em esquema fatorial 4x3 (quatro genótipos de milho e três sistemas tecnológicos de manejo), em delineamento em blocos completos casualizados, em faixas, com três repetições. Avaliaram-se a emergência, a incidência de Spodoptera frugiperda (lagarta-do-cartucho), a precocidade e a sincronia do florescimento, plantas acamadas, o diâmetro do colmo, a altura da planta e da inserção da espiga, o estande final e a produtividade. O desempenho agronômico das variedades crioulas foi maximizado pelo incremento tecnológico, tanto quanto os híbridos. Práticas de manejo acessíveis, como a utilização de adubação orgânica e o controle alternativo de pragas, são capazes de maximizar a produção de grãos de milho.

Despite landrace varieties favouring autonomy in the production process in family farming, their use has been neglected with the rise in the level of technology employed in agriculture, where it is believed that only modern cultivars present an economic return. The objective of this study therefore was to investigate the influence of different technological management systems on the agronomical characteristics of maize from two landrace varieties ('Argentine' and 'BR da Várzea') and from two hybrids. The management systems were classified as being of a low, medium and high technological level. The experiment was carried out in a 4x3 factorial (four maize genotypes and three technological management systems) in a complete randomized block design, in strips and with three replications. The following were evaluated: emergence, incidence of Spodoptera frugiperda (armyworm), flowering precocity and synchrony, plant bedding, stem diameter, plant and ear height, final growth and productivity. The agronomical performance of both the landrace varieties and the hybrids were maximized by technological advances. Affordable management practices, such as the use of organic fertilizers and alternative pest-control, are able to maximize the production of maize.

A expansão das áreas para o cultivo de grão-de-bico depende da produção de sementes detentoras de qualidade superior. Neste trabalho, foram avaliadas as principais características físicas, fisiológicas e sanitárias em sementes de seis genótipos de grão-de-bico produzidas em Montes Claros, Norte de Minas Gerias. As variáveis analisadas foram o grau de umidade, a pureza física, a massa de mil sementes, a uniformidade, a porcentagem de germinação, a primeira contagem do teste de germinação, o índice de velocidade de germinação e de emergência, a massa seca da parte aérea das plântulas e a ocorrência de microrganismos e de pragas de armazenamento nas sementes. A qualidade física, fisiológica e sanitária das sementes foi afetada pelos diferentes genótipos de grão-de-bico analisados. As variações quanto à qualidade física das sementes entre os genótipos de grão-de-bico não estão relacionadas à qualidade fisiológica e sanitária destas. De maneira geral, as sementes do genótipo CNPH 08-04 apresentaram qualidade física, fisiológica e sanitária superior à qualidade das sementes dos demais genótipos.

The expansion of the areas for chickpea culture depends on the production of seeds of superior quality. In this study, it was evaluated the main physical, physiological and sanitary characteristics in seeds of six genotypes of chickpea produced in Montes Claros, North of Minas Gerais. The analyzed variables were the moisture content, the physical purity, the mass of a thousand seeds, the uniformity, the percentage of germination, the first count of the test germination, the rate of speed germination and emergency, the dry mass of the aerial part of the seedling and the occurrence of microorganisms and plagues in seed storage. The physical, physiological and sanitary quality of the seeds was affected by different genotypes of the chickpea analyzed. The variations in relation to the physical quality of the seeds between the genotypes of chickpea are not related to sanitary and physiological quality of them. In general, the seeds of genotype CNPH 08-04 showed physical, physiological and sanitary superior quality in relation to the seeds of other genotypes.
