RESUMO: O vírus da diarreia viral bovina (BVDV) é um vírus que afeta a produção e reprodução com alto impacto econômico global nos sistemas de produção de leite. Nosso objetivo foi investigar a prevalência do BVDV em rebanhos e indivíduos na região de maior produção de leite do Brasil. A frequência do BVDV nos rebanhos foi investigada usando reação em cadeia da polimerase com transcrição reversa quantitativa (RT-qPCR) em tanques de leite em 289 fazendas leiteiras, monitoradas entre agosto de 2020 e janeiro de 2022. Dentre esses rebanhos, 68 sistemas de produção foram selecionados para investigar a prevalência de animais persistentemente infectados (PI) usando dois testes imunoenzimáticos para a detecção do antígeno (Ag-ELISAs), em intervalos de 21 dias, a partir de amostras de tecido auricular. No total, foram realizados 2.902 RT-qPCR e 23.466 Ag-ELISAs. Na investigação dos rebanhos, 23,9% (69/289) das propriedades leiteiras foram consideradas infectadas, apresentando pelo menos um teste qPCR positivo. Na pesquisa de animais Pis, 41,2% (28/68) das fazendas selecionadas tiveram pelo menos um animal positivo no teste Ag-ELISA. A associação entre os testes permitiu classificar as propriedades em quatro categorias: nível 0, negativo para ambos os testes (41,2%, 28/68); nível 1, RT-qPCR positivo e Ag-ELISA negativo (17,6%, 12/68); nível 2, RT-qPCR negativo e Ag-ELISA positivo (13,23%, 9/68); e nível 3, positivo para ambos os testes (27,9%, 19/68). A análise de correspondência múltipla (MCA) sugeriu associação entre positividade para BVDV e grandes propriedades, produção média diária de leite do rebanho, raça e contagem de células somáticas. O confinamento e a intensificação de animais de diferentes categorias e o uso de camas artificiais estão associados à infecção pelo BVDV. O uso de leite residual ou a granel também foi um fator de risco para positividade para BVDV em RT-qPCR e Ag-ELISA. Apesar da utilização de vacinas reprodutivas pela maioria dos produtores, a sua utilização parece estar associada a explorações positivas para BVDV. Este estudo apresenta as frequências epidemiológicas do BVDV nos rebanhos e indivíduos de rebanhos da região dos Campos Gerais Paranaense. A região está entre as principais áreas produtoras de leite do Brasil. ABSTRACT: Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is a productive and reproductive virus with a high global economic impact on dairy production systems. We investigated the prevalence of BVDV at the herd and individual levels in most dairy-producing regions of Brazil. The frequency of BVDV at the herd level was investigated using quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) in bulk milk tanks monitored at 289 dairy farms between August 2020 and January 2022. Among these farms, 68 production systems were selected to investigate the prevalence of persistently infected (PI) animals using two antigen-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (Ag-ELISAs), at 21-d intervals, from ear-notch samples. In total, 2,902 RT-qPCR and 23,466 Ag-ELISAs were performed. At the herd level, 23.87% (69/289) of dairy farms were considered infected, presenting at least one qPCR test positive. At the individual level, 41.2% (28/68) of the subgroup of selected farms had at least one animal positive in the Ag-ELISA test. Association between tests allowed the classification of farms into the following four categories: level 0, negative for both tests (41.2%, 28/68); level 1, RT-qPCR positive and Ag-ELISA negative (17.6%, 12/68); level 2, RT-qPCR negative and Ag-ELISA positive (13.2%, 9/68); and level 3, positive for both tests (27.9%, 19/68). Multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) suggested a possible association between BVDV positivity and large farms, average daily milk production (herd), breed, and somatic cell counts. The confinement and intensification of animals from different categories, and use of artificial bedding are associated with BVDV infection. Using waste or bulk tank milk to fed calves was also a risk factor for BVDV positivity in RT-qPCR and Ag-ELISA. Despite the use of reproductive vaccines by most producers, their use seems to be associated with BVDV-positive farms. This study presented the epidemiological frequencies of BVDV at the individual and herd levels in the Campos Gerais Paranaense region. The region ranks among the top milk-producing areas in Brazil. Additionally, the association between BVDV tests and farm characteristics indicated the farm risk for BVDV and guides specific control programs. RESUMO Objetivo: descrever a condição miofuncional orofacial global de pacientes com traumatismos faciais e analisar aspectos posturais e de mobilidade relacionados à função deglutição em diferentes etapas de recuperação. Métodos: estudo analítico e transversal. 36 participantes, idade entre 19 e 67 anos. Realizada em cinco etapas (D1, D2, D3, D4 e D5): oitavo ao sexagésimo dia após trauma. Utilizou-se o Protocolo de Avaliação Miofuncional Orofacial com Escores (AMIOFE) adaptado. Foi realizada análise estatística descritiva e inferencial, utilizando os testes t-Student pareado ou teste Wilcoxon pareado e o teste de Friedman na comparação entre as cinco avaliações. A margem de erro utilizada na decisão dos testes estatísticos foi de 5%. Resultados: nos movimentos labiais a maioria (69,4%) tinha inabilidade severa. Nos movimentos da língua, as duas categorias relacionadas, falta de precisão e inabilidade severa, apresentaram percentuais de 52,8% e 41,7%, respectivamente. Na movimentação da mandíbula, a maioria (83,3%) apresentava inabilidade severa. ABSTRACT Purpose: to describe the global orofacial myofunctional condition of patients presented with facial trauma and analyze postural and mobility aspects related to swallowing function at different stages of recovery. In the present work, three series of cinnamic (1), p-coumaric (2) and ferulic (3) esters containing different side-chains such as ethyl (1a-3a), n-propyl (1b-3b), n-butyl (1c-3c), n-pentyl (1d-3d), n-hexyl (1e-3e), and n-heptyl (1f-3f) were prepared, tested for activity against trypomastigote forms of the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi and toxicity against NCTC cells. Obtained results indicated that the presence of p-coumaric or ferulic moieties associated with C4-C7 linear side-chains play an important role in the bioactivity against T. cruzi since compounds 2c-2f and 3d-3f were found to be the most active derivatives with a half maximal effective concentration (EC50) value ranging from 12.8 to 1.7 μM, superior to that determined for the positive control benznidazole (EC50 = 16.4 μM). Abstract Background: The Myrtaceae family represents one of the most diverse groups in South America. Yet, there are few studies on their reproductive characteristics. Among the species with limited information on their reproductive behavior are Myrceugenia euosma (O. Berg) D. Legrand and Siphoneugena reitzii D. Legrand. Questions: What are the floral attractions and resources of M. euosma and S. reitzii for pollinators? Who are the pollinators of these species? What is the predominant reproductive system in both species? Studied species: M. euosma and S. reitzii, two sympatric Myrtaceae from southern Brazil. Study site and dates: Urubici, Painel, and Rio Rufino, Santa Catarina state, southern Brazil. November 2021 - February 2022. Methods: Information was obtained on morphological aspects, anthesis time, stigmatic viability, floral resources, structures attractive to visitors, olfactory testing, observation and identification of floral visitors, and reproductive system testing. Results: The flowers of M. euosma opens between 11 am and 17 pm (- 20 pm), with full opening occurring mostly at night; S. reitzii flowers open between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., with a highest peak by 8 a.m. Flowers of both species have receptive stigmas until senescence. Pollen is the primary floral reward and the scent coming from the anthers combined with the floral display attract native bees and Apis mellifera, legitimate pollinators of both species. The lack of fruit development in the self-pollination tests support cross reproduction in both taxa. Conclusions: Both species exhibit traits consistent with melittophily syndrome and potential self-incompatibility. These results are essential for conservation efforts.

Preguntas: ¿Cuáles son las atracciones florales y los recursos de M. euosma y S. reitzii para los polinizadores? ¿Quiénes son los polinizadores de estas especies? ¿Cuál es el sistema reproductivo predominante en ambas especies? Especies estudiadas: M. euosma y S. reitzii, dos Myrtaceae simpátricas del sur de Brasil. Sitio y años de estudio: Urubici, Painel y Río Rufino, Santa Catarina, Sur de Brasil. Resumo Projetos de construção são sistemas altamente complexos que apresentam recorrentemente discrepâncias entre o trabalho planejado e o trabalho realizado. Tecnologias digitais, como a fotogrametria com VANTs (drones), são ferramentas de suporte promissoras nesse contexto. Assim, este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar os procedimentos de desenvolvimento e qualidade de um modelo 3D gerado por fotogrametria através de imagens capturadas por drone, comparando-o ao modelo as-designed BIM. Para isso, realizou-se um estudo de caso em uma habitação de interesse social localizada em Camaçari-BA. Comparado ao modelo BIM projetado, o modelo fotogramétrico apresentou um desvio dimensional médio de -1,68%. O modelo também apresentou inconsistências como oclusões e deformações. O estudo mostra que tanto esse desvio como a qualidade do modelo fotogramétrico obtido podem ser consideravelmente influenciados pela forma de coleta dos dados (ex. baixa quantidade e resolução das fotos). Abstract Construction projects are highly complex systems that recurrently present discrepancies between work-as-imagined and work-as-done. Digital technologies, such as photogrammetry using UAVs (drones), are promising support tools to cope with this problem. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the procedures for developing and assessing the quality of a 3D model generated through photogrammetry from images captured by a drone, comparing it to the as-designed BIM model. Thus, a case study was carried out in a residential low-income housing construction project in Camaçari, Brazil. Compared to the as-designed BIM 3D model, the photogrammetric model presented an average dimensional deviation of -1.68%. The model also presented issues such as occlusions and deformations. The study highlights that both this deviation and the quality of the photogrammetric model can be significantly influenced by the data collection method (e.g., quantity and resolution of photos). We investigated the timely initiation of antenatal care among Brazilian adolescents to support the national discussion on the gestational age limit for legal abortion. Using data from the Live Births Information System (SINASC) from 2020 to 2022, we correlated timely prenatal care (in the first trimester of pregnancy) with the adolescent's age, region, race/color, and education level. Considering the estimated age at conception, we estimate that 11,607 annual births result from vulnerable rape. Timely initiation increased with age, being 70.2% for all adolescents (<20 years), but only 55.6% for those under 13; 14.1% of adolescents started antenatal care at 22 weeks or more of gestation (28.3% among those <13 years). Timely initiation was lower in the North Region, among Indigenous girls, and among those with low educational attainment. The results challenge the recent legislative proposal to limit legal abortion for victims of vulnerable rape to up to 22 weeks of gestational age. Delays in recognizing pregnancy and communicating with the family contribute to the late initiation of antenatal care and the decision to abort. The proposed deadline for legal abortions will primarily affect the most socioeconomically and racially vulnerable adolescents.

Investigamos o início oportuno do pré-natal em adolescentes brasileiras para subsidiar a discussão nacional sobre o limite de idade gestacional para o aborto legal. Com dados do Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) 2020-2022 correlacionamos o início oportuno do pré-natal (primeiro trimestre da gestação) com a idade da adolescente, região, raça/cor e escolaridade. Considerando a idade estimada na concepção, estimamos que 11.607 partos anuais resultam de estupro de vulnerável. O início oportuno aumentou com a idade, sendo de 70,2% para todas as adolescentes (<20 anos), mas de apenas 55,6% para aquelas abaixo de 13 anos; 14,1% das adolescentes iniciaram o pré-natal com 22 semanas ou mais de gestação (28,3% entre <13 anos). O início oportuno foi menor na Região Norte, entre meninas indígenas e entre aquelas com baixa escolaridade. Os resultados questionam o recente projeto de lei de limitar o aborto legal para vítimas de estupro de vulnerável até 22 de semanas de idade gestacional. Demoras no reconhecimento da gestação e na comunicação para a família contribuem para o início tardio do pré-natal e para a decisão de abortar. A proposta de limite do prazo para abortos legais irá atingir principalmente as adolescentes mais vulneráveis em termos socioeconômicos e raciais.

SUMMARY Introduction: The food sector includes a reasonable number of workers involved. Empirically, there is no doubt that this sector has work areas that by their nature involve a series of risk factors that can affect the health. Knowing and cataloguing these, in order to be able to draw up a preventive plan, is essential for the health of the worker (and the entity that employs him). This article aims to gather the main occupational risk factors/occupational risks, occupational diseases and recommended protective measures at kitchen workers. Methodology: This is a Scoping Review, initiated through a search carried out in the Medline database (via Pubmed), carried out during the month of November 2023, encompassing articles (in Portuguese and English), with the keywords "kitchen worker" and "occupational" in the title, with no time limit. The risk analysis tool "Online interactive risk assessment" of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work was used as a complement. Content: The main risk factors found are exposure to chemical agents (products used to clean facilities and/or fruit and vegetables, or by-products from cooking); ergonomic risks (maintained/forced postures; repetitive movements, manual handling of loads); accidents (falls at the same level or at different levels; handling of equipment/utensils that increase the risk of burns, cuts and/or amputations); contact with electrical equipment, noise, heat stress and psychosocial risks. The main occupational diseases refer to musculoskeletal, psychosocial or dermatological conditions. Each unit should, however, be evaluated individually, according to its intrinsic characteristics. Conclusions: The safety and health of kitchen workers are issues that deserve constant attention from employers, regulators and society at large. This article explored some of the main occupational hazards and listed the need for effective preventive measures. Reducing these risks is not only an ethical and legal responsibility, but a smart strategy to improve operational efficiency and quality of services, avoiding accidents, minimizing absenteeism, but also improving the productivity of companies. Conteúdo: Os principais fatores de risco encontrados são exposição a agentes químicos (produtos na higienização das instalações e/ou hortofrutícolas, ou subprodutos derivados da confeção); riscos ergonómicos (posturas mantidas/ forçadas; movimentos repetitivos, manuseamento manual de cargas); riscos de acidentes (quedas ao mesmo nível ou a níveis diferentes; manuseamento de equipamentos/utensílios que aumentem o risco de queimaduras, cortes e/ou amputações); contato com equipamentos elétricos, ruído, stress térmico e riscos psicossociais. As principais doenças profissionais referem-se a condições musculoesqueléticas, psicossociais ou dermatológicas. Cada unidade deverá, no entanto, ser avaliada individualmente, mediante as suas caraterísticas intrínsecas. Conclusões: A segurança e saúde dos trabalhadores das unidades de alimentação coletiva são questões que merecem atenção constante dos Empregadores, reguladores e da sociedade em geral. Este artigo explorou alguns dos principais riscos ocupacionais e listou a necessidade de medidas preventivas eficazes. A redução destes riscos não é apenas uma responsabilidade ética e legal, mas uma estratégia inteligente para melhorar a eficiência operacional e a qualidade dos serviços, evitando acidentes, minimizando o absentismo, mas também melhorando a produtividade das empresas. Seria pertinente desenvolver investigações que avaliassem a realidade nacional.

Résumé Les discussions sur les droits du peuple quilombola sont de plus en plus importantes dans la société. En ce sens, la présente étude visait à discuter de la lutte du peuple quilombola pour ses droits historiques. Il a également été abordé sur les principaux conflits dans les campagnes impliquant les quilombolas, et leurs enjeux d'accès à l'éducation. La méthodologie utilisée a été une étude bibliographique avec une approche descriptive et exploratoire. A travers l'étude, il a été constaté que la réalité des quilombolas en termes d'accès à leurs droits n'est toujours pas idéale. Ainsi, il est du devoir de l'État de mettre en œuvre le droit à la santé, à l'éducation et à la propriété de ces communautés, car la lutte contre l'expropriation foncière est encore très présente dans leur vie. En ce qui concerne l'éducation, il a été constaté qu'il y a eu une augmentation du nombre d'écoles quilombolas dans le pays, ce qui facilite l'accès à l'éducation. Cependant, il y a encore un besoin de former des enseignants dans ces endroits. De ce point de vue, il a été conclu que l'éducation quilombola s'avère efficace et nécessaire pour son peuple dans la mesure où ses conditions structurelles et pédagogiques peuvent fournir une pratique éducative conforme à ce qui est prévu dans les lignes directrices du curriculum.

Resumen Las discusiones sobre los derechos del pueblo quilombola son cada vez más importantes en la sociedad. En ese sentido, el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo discutir la lucha del pueblo quilombola por sus derechos históricos. También se abordó sobre los principales conflictos en el campo que involucran a los quilombolas, y sus problemáticas en cuanto al acceso a la educación. La metodología utilizada fue un estudio bibliográfico con un enfoque descriptivo y exploratorio. A través del estudio se percibió que la realidad de los quilombolas en cuanto al acceso a sus derechos aún no es la ideal. Así, es deber del Estado hacer efectivo el derecho a la salud, la educación y la propiedad de estas comunidades, pues la lucha contra la expropiación de tierras sigue muy presente en sus vidas. Con respecto a la educación, se encontró que hubo un aumento en el número de escuelas quilombolas en el país, lo que facilita el acceso a la educación. Sin embargo, todavía existe la necesidad de capacitar a los maestros en estos lugares. Desde esta perspectiva, se concluyó que la educación quilombola demuestra ser eficiente y necesaria para su gente en la medida en que sus condiciones estructurales y pedagógicas puedan propiciar una práctica educativa acorde con lo previsto en los Lineamientos Curriculares.

Abstract Discussions about the rights of the quilombola people are increasingly important in society. In this sense, the present study aimed to discuss the struggle of the quilombola people for their historical rights. It was also approached about the main conflicts in the countryside involving the quilombolas, and their issues regarding access to education. The methodology used was a bibliographic study with a descriptive and exploratory approach. Through the study, it was noticed that the reality of the quilombolas in terms of access to their rights is still not ideal. Thus, it is the duty of the State to implement the right to health, education and property of these communities, as the fight against land expropriation is still very present in their lives. With regard to education, it was found that there was an increase in the number of quilombola schools in the country, which facilitates access to education. However, there is still a need to train teachers in these locations. From this perspective, it was concluded that quilombola education proves to be efficient and necessary for its people insofar as its structural and pedagogical conditions can provide an educational practice consistent with what is foreseen in the Curriculum Guideline.

Resumo As discussões sobre os direitos do povo quilombola se mostram cada vez mais importantes na sociedade. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo teve por objetivo refletir sobre a luta do povo quilombola pelos seus direitos históricos. Também foram abordados os principais conflitos no campo envolvendo os quilombolas e suas questões perante o acesso à educação. A metodologia utilizada foi um estudo bibliográfico de abordagem descritiva e exploratória. Por meio do estudo percebeu-se que a realidade dos quilombolas no que tange ao acesso aos seus direitos ainda não é a ideal. Dessa forma, é dever do Estado concretizar o direito à saúde, à educação e à propriedade dessas comunidades, pois a luta contra expropriações de terras ainda se faz bastante presente em suas vidas. No que tange à educação, constatou-se que houve um avanço no número de escolas quilombolas no país, o que facilita o acesso à educação. Entretanto, existe ainda a necessidade de capacitação de professores destas localidades. Nessa perspectiva, concluiu-se que a educação quilombola mostra-se eficiente e necessária a seu povo, na medida em que suas condições estruturais e pedagógicas possam proporcionar uma prática educacional condizente com aquilo que é previsto nas Diretrizes Curriculares

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate whether bacterial inoculation improves the fermentative, microbiological, and chemical characteristics of silages of the elephant grass cv. BRS Capiaçu on different regrowth days. The experimental design was completely randomized and set up in a 3x2 factorial arrangement (three regrowth days, with and without inoculant), with four replications. There was a significant interaction between the regrowth days and inoculant on the pH, ammoniacal nitrogen (N-NH3), and effluent losses (EL) of the silages. Inoculation decreased the EL with the advance of regrowth days and increased the dry matter recovery index compared to the silages without inoculant. The population of molds and yeasts decreased when inoculation was adopted to the forage harvested after 85 d. There was a significant interaction between the dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP) and neutral detergent fiber corrected for ash and protein (NDFap) contents of the silages. Inoculation in the grass harvested after 85 d increased the DM contents of the silage. The highest CP contents were observed in the silages after 85 d. The NDFap contents of the grasses harvested after 110 and 135 d were higher than those of the grass harvested after 85 d. The NDFap contents of the silages without inoculant increased with the harvest age. The BRS Capiaçu forage silage harvested at 110 d demonstrated favorable performance for silage production. However, the influence of inoculant use was low for the characteristics evaluated.

Resumen Este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar si la inoculación bacteriana mejora las características fermentativas, microbiológicas y químicas de los ensilados del pasto elefante cv. BRS Capiaçu en diferentes días de rebrote. El diseño experimental fue completamente al azar y se estableció en un arreglo factorial 3x2 (tres días de rebrote, con y sin inoculante), con cuatro repeticiones. Hubo una interacción significativa entre los días de rebrote y el inoculante sobre el pH, el nitrógeno amoniacal (N-NH3) y las pérdidas por efluentes (PE) de los ensilados. La inoculación disminuyó la PE con el avance de los días de rebrote y aumentó la tasa de recuperación de materia seca en comparación con los ensilados sin inoculante. La población de mohos y levaduras disminuyó cuando se adoptó la inoculación al forraje cosechado después de 85 d. Hubo una interacción significativa entre la materia seca (MS), la proteína cruda (PC) y la fibra detergente neutro corregida por los contenidos de cenizas y proteína (FDNcp) de los ensilados. La inoculación en el pasto cosechado después de 85 días aumentó el contenido de MS del ensilado. Los mayores contenidos de PC se observaron en los ensilados después de 85 días. ABSTRACT Tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) is a species with promising potential for commercial production; therefore, studies involving practices of conducting culture in the initial stage are essential. The present study aimed to evaluate different shading levels and substrate compositions in the seedling production of tamarind. The experimental design was completely randomized in a 4×4 factorial scheme, four levels of shading (0%, 18%, 30%, and 50%) and four substrates (pine bark-based substrate pure and mixed with 50% vermiculite, and sphagnum peat-based substrate pure and mixed with 50% vermiculite), with four replicates of four seedlings. Growth and biometric relationships were evaluated at 40 and 98 d after transplantation (DAT). The results reported that seedlings formed on the sphagnum peat-based substrate on pure or associated with vermiculite at 98 DAT had a height greater than 35 cm and a total 8.5 g DM. In contrast, seedlings produced in pine bark-based substrate did not reach 20 cm in height and had less than 3 g total DM. The condition of 30% and 50% shading promoted greater growth in height, reaching an average height greater than 40 cm, while in the full sun environment, seedlings showed an average of less than 35 cm; however, for the other variables, full sun environment did not differ from 30% shading, producing good quality seedlings. Thus, the cultivation of seedlings in an environment with 0% or 30% shading, associated with the sphagnum peat-based substrate pure or mixed with 50% vermiculite promoted the production of tamarind seedlings with vigorous growth. In the best environments, the best substrates increased, on average, 41.3% number of leaves, 80.5% shoot dry mass, 56.8% root dry mass, and 71.0% total dry mass. In the best substrates, the best environments increased, on average, 18.0% number of leaves, 20.7% shoot dry mass, 8.7% root dry mass, and 14.3% total dry mass.

Abstract Resin composites containing surface pre-reacted glass (S-PRG) have been introduced to reduce demineralization and improve remineralization of the tooth structure. However, water diffusion within the material is necessary for its action, which can impair its overall physicomechanical properties over time, including color stability. This study aimed to evaluate the color stability and related degree of conversion (DC) of four resin composites. Discs (6 x 4 mm, n = 5/group) of microhybrid (MH), nanofilled (NF), nanohybrid (NH), and S-PRG-based nanohybrid (S-PRG-NH) composites with two opacities (A2/A2E and A2O/A2D) were prepared. Color (CIELab and CIEDE2000) was evaluated with a spectrophotometer after aging in grape juice (2 x 10 min/10mL/7days). The DC was analyzed by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy before and after light-curing. Data were statistically analyzed by using two-way analysis of variance and post-hoc least significant difference tests (p<0.05). In the color stability analysis, the interaction between filler type and opacity was significant (CIELab, p = 0.0015; CIEDE2000, p = 0.0026). NH presented the highest color stability, which did not differ from that of MH. The greatest color alteration was observed for S-PRG-NH. S-PRG fillers also influenced DC (p < 0.05). The nanohybrid resin composite presented favorable overall performance, which is likely related to its more stable organic content. RESUMO: A qualidade da água é uma das principais características para uma aplicação eficiente e segura de pesticidas. De maneira geral, a qualidade da água está relacionada aos níveis de pH e dureza. Assim, o objetivo foi avaliar a interação entre o pH da água e tempo de mistura da calda contendo os herbicidas 2,4-D amina, 2,4-D colina e dicamba, na eficácia visível em Ipomoea triloba, Bidens pilosa, Amaranthus viridis; além dos níveis de dureza da água em I. triloba. Três estudos feitos em estufa. Estudo 1 em fatorial 3x5 sendo o fator A pH de 2, 6 e 10 e o fator B 0, 2, 6, 24 e 26 horas da mistura até a aplicação. Estudo 2 em fatorial 3x5 para cada herbicida, sendo o fator A pH de 2, 6 e 10 e o fator B 0, 6, 12, 24 e 48 horas da mistura até a aplicação. ABSTRACT: Carrier water quality is one of the main characteristics for an efficient and safe spraying of pesticides. Overall related to the levels of pH and hardness. The objective was to evaluate the interaction between water pH and storage time of the spray, containing 2,4-D amine, 2,4-D choline and dicamba, on the visible efficacy in Ipomoea triloba, Bidens pilosa, Amaranthus viridis; and water hardness on I. triloba. Three studies were carried out in a greenhouse. Study 1 with a 3x5 factorial, which factor A being pH of 2, 6 and 10 and factor B being 0, 2, 6, 24 and 36 hours of application after the mixture. Study 2 was a 3x5 factorial for each herbicide, whith factor A being the levels of pH (2, 6 and 10) and factor B being 0, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours of application after the mixture. The study 3 is a 3x7 factorial, with factor A being the herbicides and factor B levels of water hardness: 0, 65, 125, 250, 500, 750 and 1000 parts per million. RESUMO: Objetivou-se avaliar o efeito da suplementação dietética de glutamina e ácido glutâmico (Gln+Glu) sobre o desempenho, a morfometria intestinal e as características de carcaça de codornas de corte. Foram utilizadas 800 aves, distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos (0,0; 0,2; 0,4; 0,6 e 0,8% de suplementação de Gln+Glu) e oito repetições com 20 aves por unidade experimental. Na fase de um a 21 dias, constatou-se menor (P < 0,05) consumo de ração aos níveis de 0,6 e 0,8% de Gln+Glu e menor ganho de peso ao nível 0,8% de Gln+Glu em comparação ao tratamento controle; e, pela análise de regressão, excluindo-se o tratamento controle, houve efeito linear crescente (P < 0,05) para consumo de ração na fase 22 a 42 dias de idade. Para morfometria intestinal, a suplementação de Gln+Glu apenas favoreceu o desenvolvimento vilos do íleo (P < 0,05), conferindo-lhe maior altura aos níveis de 0,2; 0,6 e 0,8% de suplementação. As características de carcaça, cortes e vísceras comestíveis das aves aos 42 dias não foram afetadas (P > 0,05) pelos níveis de suplementação de Gln+Glu. ABSTRACT: This study evaluated the effect of dietary supplementation with glutamine and glutamic acid (Gln+Glu) on performance, intestinal morphometry, and carcass characteristics of broiler quails. Eight hundred birds were used, distributed in an entirely randomized design with 20 birds per experimental unit, and given five treatments (0.0; 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; and 0.8% Gln+Glu supplementation) with eight replicates. At 1-21 days of age, lower (P < 0.05) feed intake at 0.6 and 0.8% Gln+Glu supplementation and lower weight gain at 0.8% Gln+Glu supplementation compared to the control treatment were observed. By regression analysis, excluding the control treatment, there was an increasing linear effect (P < 0.05) for feed intake at 22 to 42 days of age. For intestinal morphometry, Gln+Glu supplementation only favored the villus development of the ileum (P < 0.05), giving it greater height at 0.2, 0.6, and 0.8% supplementation. ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Dynapenia is a risk factor of mortality. Therefore, the development of low-cost and easy-to-apply tools is essential to optimize the health surveillance actions of older people. OBJECTIVES: To compare the time spent on habitual physical activity (HPA) and sedentary behavior (SB) among dynapenic and non-dynapenic older adults and ascertain the predictive ability of these behaviors on outcome. DESIGN AND SETTING: A cross-sectional population epidemiological survey was conducted involving 208 older adults. METHODS: HPA and SB were quantified using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and dynapenia was identified by handgrip strength (women: 18.37 kgf; men: 26.75 kgf). RESULTS: The prevalence was 24.50%. In both sexes, dynapenic individuals reported a HPA median time of 70.00 minutes/week (min/wk), while non-dynapenic women and men reported HPA median times of 240.00 and 280.00 min/wk, respectively (P < 0.05). For SB among dynapenic individuals, a median of 388.75 min/day was observed in women and 428.57 min/d in men. In contrast, non-dynapenic women and men had 291.42 and 274.28 min/day in SB (P < 0.05), respectively. The best cutoff HPA to discriminate the outcome was 150.00 min/wk in women (sensitivity: 73.30%; specificity: 60.67%) and 140.00 min/wk in men (sensitivity, 71.43%; specificity, 61.54%). The best cutoff SB was 381.43 min/day in women (sensitivity, 53.30%; specificity, 84.80%) and 351.43 min/day in men (sensitivity, 71.43%; specificity, 73.85%). CONCLUSION: Older individuals with dynapenia spent less time on HPA and more time in SB. Furthermore, HPA was found to be a better discriminator of dynapenic individuals, and SB better discriminated non-dynapenic individuals. Resume Cet article dresse une radiographie du système de troisième cycle des universités fédérales en ce qui concerne l’adoption de politiques d’action affirmative par le biais de décisions de leurs conseils supérieurs. À cet effet, des informations ont été recueillies auprès des programmes de troisième cycle brésiliens, à partir des données de la Plateforme Sucupira (quatriennal 2017-2020) et des résolutions des conseils supérieurs des 69 universités fédérales du pays. Sur l’ensemble des universités fédérales du pays, 33 ont déjà adopté des politiques d’action affirmative. Para tal fin, se hizo un levantamiento de información de los programas de posgrado brasileros, a partir de datos de la Plataforma Sucupira (para el cuatrienio 2017-2020) y de las resoluciones de los consejos superiores de las 69 universidades federales del país. Resumo Este artigo faz uma radiografia do sistema de pós-graduação das universidades federais no que diz respeito à adoção de políticas de ação afirmativa por meio de decisões de seus conselhos superiores. Para tanto, foram levantadas informações dos programas de pós-graduação brasileiros, a partir de dados da Plataforma Sucupira (quadriênio 2017-2020) e das resoluções dos conselhos superiores das 69 universidades federais do país. Do universo das universidades federais do país, 33 já adotam políticas de ação afirmativa. Abstract This article peforms an x-ray image of the adoption of affirmative action policies in graduate education by Brazilian federal universities through the decisions of their boards of trustees. To this end, we surveyed Brazilian graduate programs by examining data from the Sucupira Platform (2017-2020) and the resolutions of the boards of trustees of the country’s 69 federal universities. Of all federal universities in the country, 33 already adopt affirmative action policies.
