RESUMO Este texto se debruça sobre o universo do webcamming erótico comercial (WEC) desenvolvido recentemente no Brasil (mais especificamente a partir do ano de 2002), investigando sua organização e estruturação (construindo um perfil dessa atividade em contexto nacional). Mantendo diálogo constante com a empiria e a literatura sobre o tema, este texto aponta para a urgência de empreendimentos que busquem singularizar essa atividade, constantemente subsumida a ramos mais conhecidos dos mercados do sexo, tais como a pornografia e o strip-tease. A estratégia metodológica adotada se baseou na etnografia, realizada primordialmente em ambiente online, sobretudo nos espaços dos sites especializados em WEC e redes sociais (especialmente o Twitter e o Instagram). Entrevistas semiestruturadas foram efetuadas com 15 camgirls (mulheres que atuam nesse ramo), centradas em suas trajetórias de vida e suas carreiras no webcamming.

ABSTRACT This paper focuses on the erotic commercial webcamming (WEC) universe recently developed in Brazil (more specifically from 2002), investigating its organization and structuring (constructing a profile of this activity in a national context). Maintaining a constant dialogue with the empiricism and the literature on the issue, this text points to the urgency of enterprises that seek to singularize this activity, which is constantly subsumed to more popular branches of the sex markets, such as pornography and striptease. The methodological strategy adopted was ethnography in the online environment, especially in the spaces of specializing websites in WEC and social networks (especially Twitter and Instagram). In addition, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 15 camgirls (women who work in this field), focusing on their life trajectories and their careers in webcamming.

Resumo O artigo apresenta um diagnóstico dos últimos dezenove anos de representação da violência de gênero em telenovelas nacionais, pensando essas produções ficcionais em consonância com o contexto sociojurídico brasileiro de combate às violações de mulheres. Trata-se de um balanço crítico composto por um corpus de 21 novelas, que investiga as representações de agressões contra mulheres para além da fachada do merchandising social, isto é, dos núcleos dramáticos que pretenderam debater e educar sobre esse problema público. Ao fim, demonstram-se os sofisticados mecanismos narrativos que edificam e sustentam imagens dissidentes da violência de gênero, ora interpretada como sofrimento, ora como castigo necessário.

Abstract This paper presents a diagnosis of the last 19 years of gender violence representations in national telenovelas, thinking these fictional productions in line with the Brazilian socio-legal context of combat women’s violation. It is a critical balance composed by a corpus of 21 telenovelas, which investigates the representations of aggressions against women beyond the facade of social merchandising, that is, the dramatic nuclei that intended to debate and educate about this public problem. In the end, it is shown the sophisticated narrative mechanisms that build and sustain dissident images of gender violence, sometimes interpreted as suffering, other times as necessary punishments.

Resumo: O presente artigo investiga o modo como é retratada a violência perpetrada contra as vilãs de telenovelas brasileiras, por seus pais, maridos e amantes. Questiona se as cenas nas quais essas mulheres são agredidas estão inseridas em um contexto no qual tal violência é declarada e questionada, ou se elas aparecem destituídas de qualquer indagação sobre o fato de se representar um homem batendo em uma mulher. Foram selecionadas nove novelas para análise, exibidas entre os anos 2000 a 2017, sendo todas “novelas das oito” apresentadas no horário nobre (21 horas). Ao final do percurso, buscou-se evidenciar um regime de representação que nega a violência de gênero inerente a essas imagens e suas possíveis consequências.

Abstract: This article investigates the portrayal of the violence perpetrated against the villains of Brazilian soap operas by their parents, husbands and lovers. The main question is about whether the scenes in which these women are assaulted are inserted in a context in which such violence is stated and questioned, or if they appear devoid of any inquiry about the depiction of a man beating a woman. Nine soap operas were selected for analysis: all were exhibited between the years of 2000 to 2017 and were presented in prime time (21 o’clock). At the end of the course, the investigation demonstrates a regime of representation that denies the gender violence inherent in these images and their possible consequences.

Resumo O presente texto busca delinear o processo de midiatização dos mercados do sexo e as consequentes transformações nos serviços oferecidos. É realizada uma remissão aos desenvolvimentos de diferentes atividades dentro dos comércios sexuais, enfocando nas alterações ocorridas a partir do advento de uma diversidade de dispositivos midiáticos. Apontam-se também quatro traços distintivos do meta-processo: a) proliferação de novos ramos eróticos comerciais; b) aparecimento de outras formas de agenciamento; c) aumento dos trânsitos entre as diversas atividades; d) surgimento de novas estratégias de distinção dos trabalhos.

Abstract This paper aims to outline the process of mediatization of sex markets and the consequent changes in the services offered. A resumption of the development of different activities within the sex trade is made, focusing on the changes occurred since the advent of a diversity of media devices. Four distinctive features of the metaprocess are also pointed out: a) proliferation of new commercial erotic branches; b) the appearance of other forms of pimping; c) increase of transit between the various activities; d) the development of new strategies to distinguish the work.
