RESUMO: A leptospirose é uma doença zoonótica que deve ser estudada sob o ponto de vista da Saúde Única. É possível que existam particularidades na epidemiologia da leptospirose no bioma Caatinga, onde o ambiente é muitas vezes desfavorável e desafia a adaptabilidade de Leptospira spp. No total, 100 cães (47 de abrigos e 53 errantes) selecionados com base em cálculo amostral foram utilizados para avaliar a soroprevalência de Leptospira spp. e os fatores associados. O teste de soroaglutinação microscópica (SAM) foi aplicado para detetar anticorpos anti-Leptospira spp. (título 50 como ponto de corte). Os fatores de risco foram identificados utilizando a análise de regressão de Poisson robusta. Vinte e quatro animais (24%; IC 95% = 15,6% - 32,4%) foram soropositivos, os títulos de anticorpos variaram de 50 a 200, e os serogrupos reagentes foram Ballum (17%), Autumnalis (6%) e Djasiman (1%). Os fatores/categorias associados à seropositividade foram o ambiente onde o animal se encontra/solo (razão de prevalência [RP] = 6,03; IC 95% para RP: 1,86 - 7,69; P < 0,001) e o acesso a água poluída/sim (RP = 3,79; IC 95% para RP: 1,85 - 24,22; P = 0,011). ABSTRACT: Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease that must be studied on the One Health point of view. It is possible that there are particularities in the epidemiology of leptospirosis in Caatinga biome, where the environment is often unfavorable and challenges the adaptability of Leptospira spp. Overall, 100 dogs (47 shelter and 53 stray dogs) selected based on sampling calculation were used to evaluate the Leptospira spp. seroprevalence and associated factors. The microscopic agglutination test (MAT) was applied to detect anti-Leptospira spp. antibodies (cut-off titer 50). Risk factors were identified using the robust Poisson regression analysis. Twenty-four animals (24%; 95% CI = 15.6% - 32.4%) were seroreactive, antibody titers ranged from 50 to 200, and the reacting serogroups were Ballum (17%), Autumnalis (6%) and Djasiman (1%). ABSTRACT Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) seeds have attracted great economic interest for their high levels of linoleic and α-linolenic acids. In Brazil, there is a lack of studies on the agronomic characteristics and physiological quality of chia, necessitating research on germination processes and strategies to enhance yield under field conditions. There are no studies assessing the development of seeds with different coat colors in the presence of fungicides. This study aimed to assess the physiological quality of chia seeds as a function of coat color and fungicide treatment. The experiment followed a completely randomized design with a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement and six replications. For this, seeds were divided into two groups according to coat color (black and white) and subjected or not to treatment with carboxin + thiram. Germination speed index, germination rate, and shoot length were evaluated in plants sown at 0, 90, and 180 days after seed treatment. Germination rate and speed index differed significantly between coat colors, with white seeds having higher vigor than black seeds. Bredemeyera Willd. is a genus of the Polygalaceae family, occurring in Brazil. This research aims to evaluate the phytochemical and antifungal potential, in vitro and in silico, of Bredemeyera brevifolia extracts. The identification of fatty acids by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and their quantification by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector showed that palmitic (36.55 mg g−1), margaric (3.66 mg g−1), linolelaidic (108.82 mg g−1), oleic (7.86 mg g−1), stearic (41.11 mg g−1), dihomo-γ-linolenic (85.48 mg g−1), and arachidic (209.00 mg g−1) acids are present in the hexane extract. From the chloroform extract, 1-hydroxy-3,7-dimethoxyxanthone was isolated and identified. The minimum inhibitory concentration assay with methanolic extract demonstrated antifungal activity against species of the genus Candida, Sporothrix, and Trichophyton for up to 96 h, with values ranging from 64-1024 μg mL−1. The in silico study with the chemical compounds of this species showed fungal inhibition potential of sterol-14-α-demethylase, highlighting 1-hydroxy-3,7-dimethoxyxanthone, which presented an affinity energy of -8.8 kcal mol−1, greater than that observed for fluconazole (−8.3 kcal mol−1). ABSTRACT Exposing seeds to agents that elicit tolerance to abiotic stress, such as phytohormones and organic acids, during hydration and dehydration cycles can determine their response to later stimuli, e.g. exposure to salt stress. The aim of this study was to evaluate the action of priming cycles with different eliciting agents of salt stress tolerance on seeds of the cowpea varieties Sempre Verde and Pingo de Ouro. The seeds were subjected to the following treatments: 0.0 mM NaCl (control); 100 mM NaCl (salt stress); salt stress + three seed-priming cycles (PC) in water; salt stress + PC in gibberellic acid; salt stress + PC in hydrogen peroxide; salt stress + PC in salicylic acid; salt stress + PC in ascorbic acid. The following variables were analysed: germination, growth, dry weight, salt tolerance index, total soluble sugars, total free amino acids and proline. Salt stress (100 mM NaCl) reduced germination, length and biomass accumulation in the Sempre Verde and Pingo de Ouro varieties. Resumo Enquadramento: Os estudantes de Enfermagem relatam fatores associados a elevados níveis de stress em ensino clínico (EC) e que são comumente experienciados neste processo de ensino aprendizagem. Objetivo: Mapear a evidência científica sobre os fatores indutores de stress nos estudantes de enfermagem em ensino clínico. Metodologia: Scoping review baseada no método de Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Utilizada a mnemónica PCC para dimensionar a população, conceito e contexto. No processo de seleção, extração e análise dos artigos, estiveram envolvidos dois revisores independentes. Resultados: Da pesquisa efetuada foram incluídos 17 estudos. Foram identificados fatores que integram aspetos pessoais e profissionais, fatores relacionados com o ambiente/estrutura do EC e a sua organização, bem como fatores associados aos sistemas de apoio, nomeadamente ao modelo de supervisão que acompanha este processo. Conclusão: Os fatores de stress influenciam o processo de ensino aprendizagem dos estudantes em EC, por isso, devem ser desenvolvidas estratégias de ensino que permitam assegurar a efetividade no desenvolvimento de competências dos estudantes em EC.

Abstract Background: Nursing students report factors associated with high levels of stress in clinical practice, which are frequently experienced in this teaching-learning process. Objective: To map the scientific evidence available on factors causing stress among nursing students in clinical practice. Methodology: Scoping review based on the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. The PCC (population, concept, and context) mnemonic was used. Two independent reviewers were involved in the process of selection, extraction, and analysis of articles. Results: Seventeen studies were included. The analysis revealed factors related to personal and professional aspects, to the clinical practice environment/structure and organization, as well as to support systems, namely the supervisory model used in this process. Conclusion: Stress-inducing factors influence the teaching-learning process of students in clinical practice. Therefore, teaching strategies should be designed to ensure the development of students’ skills during clinical practice.

Resumen Marco contextual: Los estudiantes de enfermería informan de factores asociados a altos niveles de estrés en la enseñanza clínica (EC) y que se experimentan habitualmente en este proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia científica sobre factores inductores de estrés en estudiantes de enfermería en la enseñanza clínica. Metodología: Scoping review basada en el método del Instituto Joanna Briggs (JBI). Se utilizó la nemotecnia PCC para dimensionar la población, el concepto y el contexto. Dos revisores independientes participaron en el proceso de selección, extracción y análisis de los artículos. Resultados: De la búsqueda se incluyeron 17 estudios. Se identificaron factores que incluyen aspectos personales y profesionales, factores relacionados con el entorno/estructura de la EC y su organización, así como factores asociados a los sistemas de apoyo, concretamente al modelo de supervisión que acompaña a este proceso. Conclusión: Los factores de estrés influyen en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes de EC, por lo que deben desarrollarse estrategias docentes que garanticen el desarrollo eficaz de las competencias de los estudiantes de EC.

ABSTRACT The political dimension of basic sanitation management in Brazil, especially the principle of participatory and democratic management, is one of the main challenges to guaranteeing access to these services as a human right. This article describes a proposal for governance of basic sanitation management guided by the system of guarantees of rights. We used a theoretical and methodological framework drawing on Juan Samaja’s theory of social reproduction. The study area comprises the municipalities that make up the Triangle and Upper Solimões River health regions in the state of Amazonas. The operationality of the management governance model is based on a matrix of elements comprising the responsibilities and competency of state and non-state institutions. These are distributed across different dimensions of social reproduction, which represent the locus of action of each institution, respecting their respective missions. The matrix is made up of transversal and intersectoral components that strengthen joint work processes, with the various subjects involved in the process acting in solidarity within the scope of the committee for the ongoing monitoring of living conditions and health.

Abstract Objective To analyze risk factors (maternal, obstetric and demographic) associated with congenital syphilis and the clinical characteristics of the newborns. Method A cross-sectional study carried out in ten public maternity hospitals in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil that included cases of live births reported with congenital syphilis in 2015. Results 469 cases were analyzed; 199 (42.4 %) showed some sign or symptom suggestive of congenital syphilis; of these, 65 (32.7 %) were preterm, 87 (43.7 %) had low birth weight, 116 (58.3 %) had jaundice that required phototherapy, 13 (6.5 %) had hepatomegaly, 10 (5 %) had skin lesions, eight (4.0 %) had splenomegaly and one (0.5 %) had limb pseudoparalysis. Records of other clinical changes were identified in 36 (7.7 %) children. Children whose mothers were not treated or who received a drug other than penicillin and those whose mothers had a VDRL titer ≥ 1:16 at birth were 3.7 and 3.2 times more likely to be born with signs of congenital syphilis (p < 0.001- 95 % CI 2.41-5.58; p < 0.001 - 95 % CI 2.41-5.58) respectively. ABSTRACT The interaction between bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes and N-fixing microorganisms has the potential to be utilized in sustainable agricultural production. Thus, the aim of this study was to verify the effects of the interaction for growth, production and nodulation characteristics between the bacteria Rhizobium tropici and Azospirillum brasilense among different bean genotypes. The experiments were conducted in the Selvíria, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in 2018 and 2019, in randomized block design with three replicates in a 20 × 3 factorial scheme; 20 common bean genotypes were tested under three forms of inoculation (no inoculation, inoculation with R. tropici, co-inoculation of R. tropici + A. brasilense). The number of grains per pod and nodule mass had the most significant direct positive effect on grain yield. For nodulation, a positive correlation of strong magnitude was observed between mass of the aerial part and number of pods per plant (0.68), stem diameter and mass of nodules (0.92) and first pod insertion height and number of nodules (0.64). In the path analysis, the number of grains per pod had the most significant direct effect (0.57) on the grain productivity variable. Regarding nodulation characteristics, selection for nodule mass was preferred due to its direct effect on grain yield as opposed to the number of nodules, which has a negative effect. This suggests an advantage of larger nodules with greater individual mass than a large number of small nodules for both improved yield and N fixing by common bean plants.

Abstract Background Anti-desmoglein (Dsg)1 is produced in pemphigus foliaceus (PF), affecting exclusively the skin. Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) shows the production of anti-Dsg3 in the mucosal form, and anti-Dsg1 and 3 in the mucocutaneous form. Anti-Dsg3 autoantibodies have been rarely reported in PF. Objectives To determine the factors associated with the production and pathogenicity of anti-Dsg3 in PF. Methods Comparative analytical study of three patients groups: 16 PF-anti-Dsg3+, and 42 PF-anti-Dsg3(-) and 22 PV treatment-naïve cases. Serum was used in the anti-Dsg1 and 3 ELISA, and in immunoblotting (IB) with human epidermis extract. The expression of Dsg1 and 3 in paraffin sections was analyzed by immunohistochemistry (IHC). HLA-DRB1 alleles were compiled from a database. Results In the PF-anti-Dsg3+ group: age range similar to that of the PV group (p > 0.9999); predominance of the generalized form of PF (p = 0.002); anti-Dsg3 titers lower than those of PV (p < 0.0001); IB confirmed Dsg3 identification in one (8.33%) of 12 patients; IHC showed exclusive cytoplasmic internalization of Dsg1; HLA-DRB1 alleles of susceptibility to PF, with the absence of alleles associated with PV, in the five typed patients. Study limitations Most of the patients in the PF-anti-Dsg3+ group were undergoing treatment. Conclusion The presence of anti-Dsg3 antibodies in PF was related to older age (comparable to that of PV) and the generalized form of PF. The non-pathogenicity of anti-Dsg3 antibodies in PF can be attributed to the low serum anti-Dsg3 titers, the lack of Dsg3 internalization as detected by IHC, and the absence of PV-associated HLA-DRB1 alleles. It is crucial to value the functional and emotional balance of the family, as well as the grieving experience and associated feelings. Goals: To map the scientific evidence on nursing interventions within primary healthcare aimed at couples grieving the death of a child. Identified studies were organized using Rayyan®, and their relevance was analyzed by two independent reviewers. Out of 1021 available articles, seven were included in the review. Results: Four themes emerged from the analysis: grief manifestations (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance); attitudes and behaviors promoting adaptive grief (religion, rituals, end-of-life care at home, redefining life goals, time occupation, self-care); obstacles to adaptive grief (insufficient professional support and behaviors of others); and support networks for parental grief (formal and informal). Final considerations: The grief experiences of couples allowed mapping of Family Health Nursing interventions aimed at couples grieving the death of a child, highlighting their priority, as well as the need for professional training in this area.

Resumo Introdução: A intervenção dos enfermeiros no processo de luto parental, em cuidados de saúde primários, espelha uma necessidade de saúde basilar, assistindo na vivência de um processo de transição pelo casal. Torna-se crucial a valorização do equilíbrio funcional e emocional da família, bem como a experiência de luto e os sentimentos vivenciados. Objetivo: Mapear a evidência científica sobre as intervenções de enfermagem, em cuidados de saúde primários, dirigidas ao casal enlutado pela morte de um filho. Metodologia: Scoping Review realizada de acordo com a metodologia PRISMA-ScR e a mnemónica PCC: população, conceito e contexto. Pesquisa realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, CINAHL Complete, B-On, Science Direct e RCAAP. Estudos publicados em português, espanhol e inglês foram incluídos, com o limite temporal 2018-2023. Os estudos identificados foram organizados no Rayyan®, e a sua relevância, analisada por dois revisores independentes. Dos 1021 artigos disponíveis, sete foram incluídos na revisão. Resultados: Da análise emergiram quatro temas: manifestações de luto (negação, raiva, negociação, depressão, aceitação); atitudes e comportamentos promotores de luto adaptativo (religião, rituais, fim de vida no domicílio, redefinição de objetivos de vida, ocupação do tempo, autocuidado); obstáculos ao luto adaptativo (apoio dos profissionais insuficiente e comportamentos de outras pessoas) e redes de apoio no luto parental (formal e informal). Considerações finais: As experiências de luto vivenciadas pelo casal, permitiram mapear as intervenções de Enfermagem de Saúde Familiar dirigidas ao casal pela morte do filho, as quais emergem como prioritárias, bem como a formação profissional na área.

Abstract Introduction Permanent education in health aims to ensure that professionals are constantly learning in the workplace and in the last few years institutions resorted to the technology-mediated education modality and new teaching possibilities were explored. In Brazil, between 2017 and 2021, only six articles and five monographs were published about listening effort. Objective The objective of this study was to develop a website with scientific content on the topic listening effort for Speech -Language Therapist and Audiologist with free online access. Methods The study was carried out in five stages: Analysis, contemplating the search for scientific materials to prepare the material. Design, in which the writing and design of the website was carried out. Development, carrying out the adequacy of the online material. Implementation, a stage in which professionals in the area evaluated the quality of the material after consenting to participation through a free and informed consent term. Review, stage in which the researcher analyzed the evaluators' responses. Results The five stages of elaboration of the website were carried out, which was evaluated by professionals in the area. The average of responses to all applied questions rated the website as "superior". Abstract Introduction: Understanding the meaning and significance of comfort for people in palliative care can be a challenge for nurses when defining care. Objective: To map the available scientific evidence on nursing care that promotes comfort for people in palliative care. Materials and methods: This is a literature review based on the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. A complete search was conducted in the Medline Complete, Cinahl Complete, Scopus, Web of Science, Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal, and OpenGrey databases. Primary studies were included, with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods designs, published between January 2014 and March 2023, in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. The search syntax was adjusted for each database. A combination of MeSH, text words, and indexing terms using the boolean operators AND and OR was used. Truncation * was used to enhance the search. Results: 681 articles were found, of which 239 were duplicates. A total of 442 studies were analyzed and 409 were excluded for not reflecting the theme. The full texts from 33 articles were retrieved, of which eight were included in the review. Comfort-promoting nursing care integrates the physical, psychospiritual, environmental, and sociocultural dimensions. Of particular relevance are the implementation of pharmacological measures, respect for religious and cultural beliefs, encouragement for the presence of family members, communication, and the relaxation of rules. Conclusions: Promoting comfort for patients in palliative care includes direct care and support for the family. The individualization of care and the response to specific needs can result in relief, ease, and transcendence.

A truncadura* foi utilizada para potencializar a pesquisa. Resultados: Identificaram-se 681 artigos, dos quais 239 eram duplicatas. Analisaram-se 442 estudos, excluindo-se 409 por não refletirem o tema. Recuperou-se o texto integral de 33 artigos, sendo que oito foram incluídos na revisão. Os cuidados de enfermagem promotores do conforto integram as dimensões física, psicoespiritual, ambiental e sociocultural. Destacam-se a implementação de medidas farmacológicas, o respeito pelas crenças religiosas e culturais, a facilitação da presença de familiares, a comunicação e a flexibilização das normas. Conclusões: A promoção do conforto para a pessoa em situação paliativa inclui o cuidado direto e o apoio à família. Da individualização dos cuidados e da resposta às necessidades específicas, pode resultar alívio, facilidade e transcendência.

Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia científica disponible sobre los cuidados de enfermería que promueven la comodidad en las personas en situación paliativa. Materiales y método: Revisión de la literatura según las recomendaciones del Joanna Briggs Institute y Prisma-ScR. Búsqueda completa en Medline Complete, Cinhal Complete, Scopus, Web of Science, Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal y OpenGrey. Estudios primarios incluidos, con metodología cuantitativa, cualitativa o mixta, publicados entre enero de 2014 y marzo de 2023, en portugués, inglés o español. Sintaxis de investigación ajustada a cada base de datos. Combinación de MeSH, palabras de texto y términos de indexación utilizando los operadores booleanos AND y OR. Se utilizó el truncamiento* para mejorar la búsqueda. Resultados: Se identificaron 681 artículos, de los cuales 239 eran duplicados. Los cuidados de enfermería que promueven la comodidad integran las dimensiones física, psicoespiritual, ambiental y sociocultural. Destacan la aplicación de medidas farmacológicas, el respeto a las creencias religiosas y culturales, la facilitación de la presencia de familiares, la comunicación y la flexibilización de las normas. Conclusiones: La promoción de la comodidad de las personas en situación paliativa incluye los cuidados directos y el apoyo a la familia. La individualización de los cuidados y la respuesta a las necesidades específicas pueden producir alivio, facilidad y trascendencia.

Uma fazendeira grávida de 40 anos, com 30 semanas de gestação, desenvolvimento de febre, mialgia e dor de cabeça, com infecção por OROV confirmada por RT-qPCR. as avaliações maternas e fetais não foram inicialmente concluídas. No entanto, na semana seguinte, um paciente notou diminuição dos movimentos fetais, e o ultrassom confirmou a morte fetal. O diagnóstico molecular detectou o RNA do OROV em vários espécimes fetais. Este caso de transmissão vertical ressalta a necessidade urgente de proteger as mulheres grávidas, incorporar o OROV no diagnóstico diferencial de doenças febris e investigar mais profundamente os potenciais mecanismos patogênicos do vírus.
