ABSTRACT The return and worsening of hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic were important setbacks experienced by the Brazilian population in recent years, as a result of a necropolitics form of government, which refused to look at and offer public policies aimed at vulnerable populations. The act of eating, in itself, is a promoter of (physical and mental) health, which has been denied to a large part of the population during the pandemic. This research, based on cartography method, aimed to investigate arrangements of mental health produced in the communities, in Heliópolis, a favela in São Paulo. Among the main findings, we highlight arrangements to expand the food supply, rescue the political importance of individuals residing in the territory, marches denouncing the situation of hunger in the favelas, as well as affective sharing of stories mediated by the sharing of food. These actions show the importance of the act of eating as a promoter of (physical and mental) health and highlight the importance of the relationships produced and mediated by food. The fight for food and its sharing, in a scenario of political dismantling and return of hunger in the country, presented itself as a form of resistance and collective confrontation to necropolitics.

RESUMEN Objetivo: mapear los trastornos mentales recurrentes comunes en pacientes sometidos a trasplante de células madre hematopoyéticas. Métodos: se trata de una revisión de alcance realizada en enero de 2022 en bases de datos electrónicas y repositorios de disertaciones y tesis. Se incluyeron publicaciones que respondieron a la pregunta de investigación, cumplieron con el objetivo del estudio y estaban disponibles en su totalidad en formato electrónico, en cualquier idioma. ABSTRACT Objective: to map common recurrent mental disorders in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Methods: this is a scoping review carried out in January 2022 in electronic databases and repositories of dissertations and thesis. Studies that answered the research question, met the objective of the study and were available in full electronically, in any language, were included. Results: the sample consisted of 28 studies, 14 of which were published in the United States of America. Resumo Este estudo objetiva analisar as experiências de um homem trans durante o período gravídico-puerperal e a perspectiva de enfermeiras obstetras em formação, a partir das dinâmicas e da organização dos cuidados de saúde obstétricos em ambiente hospitalar. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, baseado em estudo de caso, em que utilizou entrevistas e observações diretas para a coleta das informações. A análise foi feita a partir do marco teórico e normativo do Processo de Enfermagem, da Teoria dos Cuidados e da perspectiva teórico/crítica do transfeminismo. Os resultados estão organizados em seis categorias: Homem trans em contexto de gestação, parto e puerpério; parceria e dimensões parentais; dilemas enfrentados pelo casal grávido; impressões registradas pela profissional de enfermagem; compreensão do caso sob a lente teórica e epistemológica; implicações para os profissionais da saúde. Destaca-se a necessidade de promover espaços de educação permanente junto aos profissionais da saúde e reformular legislações de maneira a viabilizar a elaboração de políticas públicas baseada no respeito à diversidade e cuidado equânime, reconhecendo as especificidades da população trans nos contextos da gestação, parto e puerpério.

Abstract This study aims to analyze the experiences of a transgender man during the gestational-puerperal period and the perspective of obstetric nurses in training based on the dynamics and organization of obstetric healthcare in a hospital setting. This qualitative study is based on a case study approach, employing interviews and direct observations to collect data. The analysis was based on the theoretical and normative framework of the Nursing Process, the Theory of Caring, and the theoretical/critical perspective of transfeminism. The results are organized into six categories: Transgender man in the context of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum; partnership and parental dimensions; dilemmas faced by the pregnant couple; impressions recorded by the nursing professional; understanding of the case through a theoretical and epistemological lens; implications for healthcare professionals. We underscore the need to promote spaces for continuing education among healthcare professionals and to reformulate legislation in a way that enables the development of public policies based on respect for diversity and equitable care, recognizing the transgender population’s specificities in the contexts of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

Abstract This study, a theoretical essay, aimed to analyze the role and potential of the oral cavity in the corporeal plurality of LGBTQIA+ identities. Thus, dialectically guided, two oral pathways were evidenced: the first disciplined by the precepts of a Christian, sexist, and cissexist hegemony; the other questioning the unison character of cisheteronormativity. Finally, based on the premises presented, the oral territory, from then on, becomes a possible way to understand the historical-social path of LGBTQIA+ identities - after all, the mouth is body, like all other forms of corporeality, guided by socially constructed norms which we weave our existence.

Resumo O presente estudo, um ensaio teórico, teve como objetivo analisar o papel e o potencial da cavidade bucal junto à pluralidade corpórea das identidades LGBTQIA+. Para tal, guiado por um percurso dialético, dois percursos bucais foram discernidos: um disciplinarizado pelos preceitos de uma hegemonia cristã, machista e cissexista; e o outro sob caráter de superação, questionando a unicidade da cisheteronorma. Por fim, com base nas premissas apresentadas, o território bucal, a partir de então, torna-se um possível caminho para se compreender o percurso histórico-social das identidades LGBTQIA+ - afinal, boca é corpo, e como todas as demais formas da corporeidade, guia-se pelas normatizações socialmente construídas com as quais tecemos nossa existência.

Quanto à validade de critério, o instrumento apresentou adequada capacidade de distinção entre os sujeitos normo-ouvintes e os sujeitos com perda auditiva (Etapa 3). ABSTRACT Purpose To propose an instrument for assessing speech recognition in the presence of competing noise. To define its application strategy for use in clinical practice. Methods The study was conducted in three stages: Organization of the material comprising the Word-with-Noise Test (Stage 1); Definition of the instrument's application strategy (Stage 2); Investigation of criterion validity and definition of reference values for the test (Stage 3) through the evaluation of 50 normal-hearing adult subjects and 12 subjects with hearing loss. Results The Word-with-Noise Test consists of lists of monosyllabic and disyllabic words and speech spectrum noise (Stage 1). The application strategy for the test was defined as the determination of the Speech Recognition Threshold with a fixed noise level at 55 dBHL (Stage 2). RESUMO: Trypanosoma evansi, o patógeno hemoflagelado que causa a “surra”, é um protozoário que infecta a mais ampla variedade de mamíferos em todo o mundo, principalmente cavalos, camelos, cães e animais selvagens. Casos de tripanossomíase canina causada por T. evansi têm sido relatados na região pantaneira brasileira. Este estudo tem como objetivo determinar a prevalência de T. evansi e investigar fatores de risco. O estudo utilizou amostras de sangue de cães do município de Barão de Melgaço, no pantanal do estado de Mato Grosso, Brasil. O proprietário recebeu um questionário epidemiológico estruturado contendo informações sobre os fatores de risco. ABSTRACT: Trypanosoma evansi, the hemoflagellate pathogen that causes “surra,” is a protozoan that infects the widest variety of mammals worldwide, primarily horses, camels, dogs, and wild animals. Cases of canine trypanosomiasis caused by T.evansi have been reported in the Brazilian pantonal region. This study determined the prevalence of T.evansi and investigate risk factors. The study used blood samples from dogs in the municipality of Barão de Melgaço in the pantonal of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. The owner was given a structured epidemiological questionnaire containing information about the risk factors. The quantitative polymerase chain reaction technique was used to detect T.evansi DNA using species-specific oligonucleotides TevF and TevR of the gene encoding a 227-bp portion of the glycoprotein of the variant surface (VSG) T.evansi Rode Trypanozoon (RoTat) 1.2. Two (prevalence of 0.5%) genetic materials of T.evansi were reported in the403 samples. Abstract The Assisted Market Agrarian Reform was established in Brazil in 1997 by the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso in partnership with the World Bank. Its main objective was to reduce conflicts and alleviate rural poverty. The Northeast region was chosen for the initial implementation of the policy due to its higher concentration of poverty. Therefore, this article aims to understand how this model emerged in the Brazilian agrarian agenda and to raise the inherent questions regarding its adoption process. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing document analysis and theoretical grounding in the Policy Diffusion Theory. Abstract This study compares the effects of virus-cell interactions among SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOCs) isolated in Brazil in 2021, hypothesizing a correlation between cellular alterations and mortality and between viral load and transmissibility. For this purpose, reference isolates of Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, and Delta variants were inoculated into monolayers of Vero-E6 cells. Viral RNA was quantified in cell supernatants by RT‒PCR, and infected cells were analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of cellular changes 24, 48, and 72 hours postinfection (hpi). Ultrastructural analyses showed that all variants of SARS-CoV-2 altered the structure and function of mitochondria, nucleus, and rough endoplasmic reticulum of cells. Monolayers infected with the Delta variant showed the highest number of modified cells and the greatest statistically significant differences compared to those of other variants. Viral particles were observed in the cytosol and the cell membrane in 100 % of the cells at 48 hpi. Abstract The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the associations between oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) and socioeconomic and demographic variables, suicidal ideation, self-perception of oral health, and experiences of dental care in the Brazilian adult LGBTIQ+ population. A sample of 464 participants completed self-administered online questionnaires and provided information for OHRQoL assessment, using the OHIP-14 instrument at three hierarchical levels of explanatory variables: LGBTIQ+ identities; socioeconomic and demographic data and existential suffering; and self-perception of oral health and experience of dental care. The collected data were fitted to hierarchical multiple logistic regression models, in which the associations between each independent variable with the OHIP-14 prevalence outcome were analyzed. The OHIP-14-prevalence index showed that 33.2% of the participants answered ‘frequently’ or ‘always’, and the highest frequencies were obtained for the psychological discomfort (27.8%), psychological disability (18.3%), and physical pain (17.5%) domains. According to the adjusted final model, LGBTIQ+ individuals who were more likely to have their OHRQoL affected were those who were indifferent (OR=3.21; 95% CI: 1.26-8.20), dissatisfied (OR=10.45; 95% CI: 3.86-28.26), or very dissatisfied (OR=53.93; 95% CI: 12.12-239.93) with their oral health status, and also those who had or have difficulty accessing dental treatment (OR=2.06; 95% CI: 1.24-3.41) (p<0.05). Abstract This study evaluated the scientific contribution of Brazilian CNPq Research Productivity fellows (PQ) in Dentistry by areas of activity. This cross-sectional study included 217 active PQ who were grouped into six groups: (1) Biomaterials, Prosthodontics, and Restorative Dentistry; (2) Public Health and Epidemiology; (3) Oral Pathology, Stomatology, and Dental Radiology; (4) Pediatric Dentistry and Child Health; (5) Dental Clinic (Periodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, and Implantology), and (6) Basic Areas (Histology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Pharmacology). The PQ were predominantly male (n = 122; 56.2%), received level 2 scholarships (n = 121; 55.8%), and performed research in the Southeast region of Brazil (n = 160; 73.73%). Regarding supervision of undergraduate, master's, and PhD students, both during their entire careers and in the last 5 years, the highest average was observed for PQs in the field of Public Health and Epidemiology, the only area with higher average supervision of master's than that of undergraduate and PhD students. PQ in Public Health and Epidemiology had the highest average number of papers published over their career and in the last 5 years, followed by PQ in Pediatric Dentistry and Child Health and Dental Clinic. The high productivity of PQ is demonstrated by modern research performance indicators. Their scientific publications are indexed in bibliometric databases such as WoS, Scopus, and SciELO. Addtionally, highlighted among the PQ was the time since initiation of their scientific careers and master's and doctoral candidates trained. RESUMO: Objetivo: avaliar a qualidade de vida, funcionalidade e autoestima de pessoas no pós-alta por cura de hanseníase. Métodos: estudo epidemiológico transversal, desenvolvido numa instituição de referência para hanseníase na Paraíba-Brasil, de maio a agosto de 2021. Utilizaram-se quatro instrumentos para caracterização sociodemográfica e clínica, avaliação da qualidade de vida, da funcionalidade e da autoestima. Os dados foram analisados pelos testes qui-quadrado de Pearson, exato de Fisher, Mann-Whitney e Kruskal-Wallis. Resultados: participaram 131 pessoas, dos quais 86 (65,6%) eram do sexo masculino e 72 (55%) com 41 a 60 anos. Houve impacto negativo da qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde em não escolarizados e com baixa renda familiar. Limitação da funcionalidade em quem não pratica atividade física, afetado por neurite e com algum grau de incapacidade física. Contudo, elevada autoestima. ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the quality of life, functionality, and self-concept of people after discharge from leprosy. Methods: This was a cross-sectional epidemiological study carried out in a reference institution for leprosy in Paraíba, Brazil, from May to August 2021. Four instruments were used for sociodemographic and clinical characterization, assessment of quality of life, functionality, and self-concept. The data was analyzed using Pearson’s chi-square, Fisher’s exact, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results: 131 people took part, of whom 86 (65.6%) were male and 72 (55%) were aged between 41 and 60. There was a negative impact on health-related quality of life among those with no schooling and low family income. Limitation of functionality in those who do not practice physical activity, are affected by neuritis, and have some degree of physical disability. However, high self-concept. Métodos: Se trató de un estudio epidemiológico transversal realizado en una institución de referencia para lepra en Paraíba, Brasil, de mayo a agosto de 2021. RESUMO Objetivo Investigar a confiabilidade do Teste de Palavras no Ruído em um grupo de adultos normo-ouvintes. Método Participaram da pesquisa 45 sujeitos adultos normo-ouvintes. O intervalo entre a primeira e a segunda avaliação foi de 14 a 28 dias, realizadas no mesmo turno do dia e pelo mesmo avaliador. A análise de comparação entre teste e reteste foi realizada considerando o resultado geral das orelhas, totalizando 90 orelhas avaliadas. A análise inferencial incluiu a comparação das situações na primeira e segunda avaliação por meio do Teste de Wilcoxon, cálculo e interpretação do Índice de Correlação Intraclasse. Resultados Houve diferença estatisticamente significante entre os desempenhos no teste e reteste. Os coeficientes de correlação intraclasse obtidos foram indicativos de boa confiabilidade (r=0,759; p<0,001) para o estímulo monossilábico e de moderada confiabilidade (r=0,631; p<0,001) para o dissilábico. ABSTRACT Purpose To investigate the reliability of the Word-with-Noise Test in a group of normal-hearing adults. Methods Forty-five normal-hearing adult subjects participated in the research. The interval between the first and second assessment was 14 to 28 days, performed during the same time of the day and by the same evaluator. The comparison analysis between the test and the retest was performed considering the general result of the ears, totaling 90 ears evaluated. The inferential analysis included the comparison of the situations in the first and second assessment using the Wilcoxon Test, calculation, and interpretation of the Intraclass Correlation Index. Results There was a statistically significant difference between the test and retest performances. The intraclass correlation coefficients obtained were indicative of good reliability (r=0.759; p<0.001) for the monosyllabic stimulus and moderate reliability (r=0.631; p<0.001) for the disyllabic stimulus.
