RESUMO Este artigo parte de aspectos linguístico-históricos gerais e se aproxima do caso brasileiro para pensar o papel do vernáculo como instrumento de colonização e a política de língua no Brasil. A partir da ideia de que a colonização do outro passa pela língua - e tendo em vista as especificidades linguísticas, raciais e socioeconômicas brasileiras -, procuramos trazer ao debate alguns dos efeitos da colonização em um campo no qual a linguagem tem um estatuto duplamente privilegiado, a saber: a tradução de textos psicanalíticos.

ABSTRACT This paper starts with general linguistic-historical aspects and addresses the Brazilian case to reflect on the role of the vernacular as an instrument of colonization, and on language policy in Brazil. Because colonizing the other involves language, and because of the Brazilian linguistic, racial and socioeconomic specificities, we seek to bring to the debate some effects of colonization in a field where language has a doubly privileged status, namely: the translation of psychoanalytic texts.

RESUMO Este trabalho revisita a noção de usuário em vertentes anglo-americanas e continentais da pragmática linguística. Delineamos alguns dos pressupostos da ideia de usuário racional, defendida por filósofos como Paul Grice e John Searle, bem como algumas assunções da crítica a esse modelo, realizada por pragmaticistas de tradições continentais, discursivas ou brasileiras. Historicamente, identificamos, nas primeiras décadas da pragmática linguística (1980 e 90), um recurso frequente à psicanálise na desconstrução do modelo de usuário racional - diálogo que foi se tornando rarefeito nas décadas seguintes. Aventamos que a possível natureza dessa atual recusa encontra-se numa intepretação equivocada de que a psicanálise seja uma teoria do indivíduo, ao passo que a pragmática seria uma teoria da sociedade. Apontamos, finalmente, para a premência do diálogo entre pragmática e psicanálise, sobretudo porque os campos têm compartilhado uma vigorosa crítica ao indivíduo intencional.

ABSTRACT This paper revisits the notion of user in both Anglo-American and Continental Pragmatics. We delineate some of the assumptions under the idea of rational user, as philosophers such as Paul Grice and John Searle have proposed it, in addition to other premises within the critique to this model, as pragmaticists in Continental, discursive or Brazilian traditions undertake it. We've identified historically that in the first decades of linguistic pragmatics (1980 and 90), continental pragmatics did frequently resort to psychoanalysis in deconstructing the rational user - a type of dialogue that would become less and less prominent in the decades to come. We suggest that the possible reason for such a refusal lies in a misinterpretation of psychoanalysis as a theory of the individual versus pragmatics as a theory of society. We then gesture at the urgency of the dialogue between pragmatics and psychoanalysis, for both fields have shared a vigorous critique to the intentional individual.

O erro linguístico tem sido diversamente abordado ao longo das diferentes tradições dos estudos da linguagem. O presente trabalho propõe, a partir da psicanálise, uma discussão a respeito de possíveis considerações e sobre o que o erro viola. Assim, pretendemos vislumbrar onde, na topologia da língua, o erro encontra a sua morada, bem como questionar se, de fato, ele estaria aí em posição de limite.

Perimetrical mirages: on error as a limit. Linguistic error has been approached differently throughout different traditions of language studies. This paper, based on psychoanalytical doctrine, proposes a discussion about some possible considerations and about what error violates. Thus we want to envision where in the topology of language indwells linguistic error, and question whether, in fact, it would be there in some boundary position.

Partindo dos argumentos apresentados por Giorgio Agamben no texto "O que é o contemporâneo?" (2008), este artigo procura trazer alguma luz sobre a noção de contemporaneidade na psicanálise. Se os processos do sistema inconsciente não têm nenhuma relação com o tempo (Freud, 1915), haveria algo que, no campo da psicanálise como tal, se poderia chamar de contemporâneo?
