RESUMO O cultivo do milho convencional em áreas de refúgio é importante para preservação da tecnologia Bt e para atender mercados específicos com maior valor agregado aos grãos. Portanto, as pesquisas voltadas ao controle químico de plantas daninhas também devem continuar direcionadas aos híbridos convencionais de milho. O objetivo foi avaliar a seletividade de herbicidas aplicados em pré e pós-emergência de um híbrido convencional de milho cultivado no bioma Cerrado do Brasil. Foram instalados dois experimentos de campo, um na safra verão e outro segunda safra. Os tratamentos foram onze herbicidas, cujas doses são apresentadas em g ha-1 de ingrediente ativo: S-metolachlor (1.680), mesotrione + atrazine (115,2 + 2.000), mesotrione + atrazine (192 + 2.000), tembotrione + atrazine (75,6 + 2.000), tembotrione + atrazine (100,8 + 2.000), nicosulfuron + atrazine (16 + 2.000), nicosulfuron + atrazine (24 + 2.000), [mesotrione + atrazine] ([120 + 1.,200]), aplicação sequencial de [mesotrione + atrazine] ([60 + 600]), atrazine (2.000), mais testemunha capinada. Independentemente do experimento, todos os herbicidas aplicados pré e pós-emergência do milho proporcionaram baixos percentuais de fitointoxicação. ABSTRACT The cultivation of conventional maize in refuge areas is important for preserving Bt technology and serving specific markets with greater added value to the grains. Therefore, research aimed at chemical weed control must also continue to be directed to conventional maize hybrids. Resumen Aunque no es muy común, en los últimos 20 años se ha observado un aumento significativo en los reportes de rotura del pectoral mayor, normalmente asociado a la práctica de actividad física en la que se produce una contracción intensa y/o al uso de cargas pesadas ejerciendo resistencia sobre el mismo. el músculo. En este caso clínico tenemos un paciente de 51 años que refiere dolor en el pecho derecho y en el brazo derecho durante 3 días después de intentar arreglar el manillar de su motocicleta. Presentó asimetría de pectorales, pérdida de fuerza en miembro superior derecho, dificultad de movimiento y hematoma. La resonancia magnética demostró rotura completa de la unión miotendinosa del pectoral mayor, con tendinopatía con fisuras de inserción e intrasustancial del infraespinoso y tendinopatía con rotura parcial del tendón subescapular. Un médico ortopédico recomendó seguimiento con el uso de medicación analgésica.

Resumo Apesar de não muito frequente, nos últimos 20 anos, houve um aumento significativo dos relatos sobre rotura do peitoral maior, normalmente associadas à prática de atividade física em que ocorre contração intensa e/ou uso de cargas pesadas exercendo resistência sobre o músculo. Neste relato de caso temos um paciente de 51 anos referindo dor no tórax à direita e no braço direito há 3 dias após tentar consertar o guidão da moto. Apresentava assimetria dos peitorais, perda de força do membro superior direito, dificuldade de movimentação e hematoma. A ressonância magnética demonstrou rotura completa da junção miotendínea do peitoral maior, com tendinopatia com fissuras insercionais e intrasubstanciais infraespinhal e tendinopatia com rotura parcial do tendão subescapular. Foi indicado por médico ortopedista o acompanhamento com o uso de medicação analgésica.

Abstract Although not very common, in the last 20 years, there has been a significant increase in reports of rupture of the pectoralis major, normally associated with the practice of physical activity in which intense contraction occurs and/or the use of heavy loads exerting resistance on the muscle. In this case report we have a 51-year-old patient reporting pain in his right chest and right arm for 3 days after trying to fix his motorcycle's handlebars. He had asymmetry of the pectorals, loss of strength in the right upper limb, difficulty moving and hematoma. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated complete rupture of the myotendinous junction of the pectoralis major, with tendinopathy with insertional and intrasubstantial infraspinatus fissures and tendinopathy with partial rupture of the subscapularis tendon. An orthopedic doctor recommended follow-up with the use of analgesic medication.

RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a eficiência de aplicação de diferentes pontas de bicos associada a taxas crescentes de aplicação. Foi conduzido um experimento de campo no delineamento em blocos ao acaso, em esquema fatorial 3 x 4, com quatro repetições. ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to evaluate the application efficiency of different nozzle tips associated with increasing application rates. A field experiment was conducted in a factorial 3 × 4 randomized block design with four replicates. Muitas vezes, a expansão das áreas agrícolas ocorre sem planejamento integrado com os atores do sistema logístico, especialmente em regiões de fronteira agrícola, como a região do MATOPIBA. O planejamento da localização de novos armazéns graneleiros contribui para a melhoria do processo de tomada de decisão para investimentos. Além disso, possibilita um processo virtuoso que permite a incorporação de aspectos para fomentar a intermodalidade e a preservação ambiental. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é avaliar se uma combinação de critérios locacionais que considerem aspectos ambientais e de intermodalidade pode identificar regiões mais adequadas para a instalação de armazéns graneleiros do tipo subterminal. A metodologia utilizada agrega a Análise Hierárquica de Processos (AHP) e técnicas de geoprocessamento. A aplicação dos métodos permitiu classificar as regiões candidatas para a instalação de armazéns. Abstract Brazilian agribusiness is continuously seeking new technologies and arable areas for expansion. Often, the expansion often occurs without proper planning and integration with logistic system actors, especially in agricultural frontier regions like the MATOPIBA region. To improve investment decision-making, it is essential to plan the location of new bulk warehouses. This planning can facilitate a virtuous process that incorporates intermodality and environmental preservation aspects. The objective of this article is to evaluate whether a combination of locational criteria that consider environmental and intermodality aspects can identify the most suitable regions for the installation of subterminal warehouses. The methodology combines Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and geoprocessing techniques. The application of the method allowed ranking the candidate regions for the installation of warehouses. The results indicated three large areas suitable for the grain storage that together represent 12% of the study area. The conclusion of the research was that, in addition to economic aspects, the inclusion of environmental and logistics factors in the spatial location analysis promotes a more sustainable storage network, with well-positioned warehouses and less competition. RESUMO Espécies vegetais de ocorrência no bioma Caatinga quando submetidas a diferentes flutuações hídricas podem ter seu desempenho morfofisiológico e metabólico alterado. A depender do nível de estresse, a produção de mudas de qualidade é afetada. Logo, objetivou-se avaliar as respostas às diferentes disponibilidades hídricas no desenvolvimento morfofisiológico e bioquímico de Croton blanchetianus Baill. O experimento foi desenvolvido em casa de vegetação e foram avaliados quatro regimes hídricos: 25%, 50%, 75% e 100% da capacidade de vaso e conduzido em delineamento experimental em blocos ao acaso, totalizando 5 blocos. As variáveis analisadas foram: altura e diâmetro dos ramos; área foliar, número de folhas, volume radicular; massa seca da raiz, parte aérea, total e relação raiz/parte aérea; teor relativo de água, prolina, proteínas solúveis totais, malondialdeído, peróxido de hidrogênio e pigmentos fotossintéticos (clorofila ɑ, clorofila b e carotenóides). ABSTRACT Plant species occurring in the Caatinga biome, when subjected to different water fluctuations, may have their morphophysiological and metabolic performance altered. Depending on the level of stress, the production of quality seedlings is affected. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the responses to different water availability levels in the morphophysiological and biochemical development of Croton blanchetianus Baill. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse, evaluating four water regimes: 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of pot capacity, and conducted in a randomized block design, with a total 5 blocks. The variables analyzed were: branch height and branch diameter; leaf area, number of leaves, root volume; root dry mass, shoot dry mass, total dry mass and root/shoot ratio; relative water content, proline, total soluble proteins, malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide, and photo synthetic pigments (chlorophyll ɑ, chlorophyll b, and carotenoids). Abstract The use of cover crops has proved to be a promising strategy in soil decompaction. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the morphophysiological characteristics of maize plants (Zea mays L.), Urochloa ruziziensis and Panicum maximum growing in soil with or without subsurface compaction. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, adopting the factorial scheme 4 x 2, being three cover crops (single corn, U. ruziziensis, P. maximum - BRS Zuri) and a corn-U. ruziziensis intercrop grown in soil with and without compaction in the layer of 10-15 cm of depth, with four replications. Physiological and morphological variables and dry matter accumulation of roots and shoots were evaluated. Subsurface compaction reduced the shoot dry mass of U. ruziziensis, corn-U. ruziziensis and single corn. The U. ruziziensis and single corn plants had a reduction in the dry mass of roots in different layers of depth and in conditions of subsurface compaction. The U. ruziziensis and P. maximum grasses showed higher photosynthetic rate when growing in compacted soil. Corn was the species most sensitive to subsurface compaction, showing the greatest reduction in physiological parameters and biomass accumulation. The corn-U. ruziziensis intercrop minimizes the damage of soil compaction to maize plants. Aim to evaluate the occurrence of maxillofacial infection cases, which were treated at local hospital, identifying the main risk factors that determine the need for hospitalization of patients and the factors associated with staying length. Methods A retrospective review of 191 records of patients with maxillofacial infection of odontogenic origin was performed, statistically evaluated by frequency and percentage of involvement, p values (based on the chi-square test) and odds ratio with a 95% confidence interval. A p-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results Among all the 191 patients, 31 had some harmful habits, such as smokers (13%) and alcoholics (1%). In addition, 39 patients reported some general health problem, such as systemic arterial hypertension (8.3%), depression (6.8%), diabetes (3.6%) and some immunosuppression (1.57%). Involvement of infection in deep facial spaces was present, with 119 patients presenting a deeper infection (62.3%) and 72 patients a superficial infection (37.7%). The most prevalent clinical signs and symptoms in the initial evaluation were pain (91.1%) and edema (90.1%), followed by erythema/hyperemia (44.5%), trismus (37.7%), abscess (30.9%), cellulitis (27.7%), fistula (16.8%), fever (16.8%), dysphagia (11%), dehydration (9.9%), odynophagia (7.9% ) and dyspnea (3.7%). The Media, including digital newspapers, when describing and discussing different themes, not only portray realities, but educate and subjectify subjects based on the articles they publish. Its contents are not isolated, but on the contrary, are articulate in different resources, reaching different audiences. Thus, among other topics, they discuss and educate about the meanings that involve young people from the periphery. So, this study discusses how such young people are portrayed through the articles in the newspaper O Globo and the educational effects that unfold from this dynamic The investigation was carried out from the perspective of Foucauldian studies and Cultural Studies in Education, supported by 40 reports published digitally from 2019. For the discussions, authors who discuss the relationship between education and the media and the conditions surrounding young people living in Brazilian peripheries were used. It was identified that young people, in journalistic articles, are often associated with the need to free themselves from peripheral spatialities and the idea of ​​individually overcoming their difficulties. The neoliberal discourse of entrepreneurship accompanies the stories, shifting discussions from the field of public policies, making these young people responsible for their successes and failures.

Os produtos midiáticos, entre eles os jornais digitais, ao descreverem e discutirem diversos temas, não apenas retratam realidades, mas educam e subjetivam sujeitos a partir das matérias que publicam. Seus conteúdos não se encontram isolados, mas ao contrário, se articulam e alimentam diferentes recursos midiáticos, atingindo públicos diversos. Assim, entre outros temas, discorrem e educam sobre os significados que envolvem os jovens de periferia. Partindo disso, este estudo discute modos como tais jovens são retratados por meio das matérias do jornal O Globo e sobre os efeitos educacionais que se desdobram a partir dessa dinâmica A investigação foi realizada a partir da perspectiva dos estudos foucaultianos e dos Estudos Culturais em Educação, sustentada por 40 reportagens publicadas digitalmente a partir de 2019. Para as discussões foram utilizados autores que discorrem sobre a articulação entre a educação e a mídia e sobre as condições que cercam os jovens que vivem em periferias brasileiras. Identificou-se que os jovens, nas matérias jornalísticas, são frequentemente associados à necessidade de libertarem-se das espacialidades periféricas e à ideia de superação individual de suas dificuldades. O discurso neoliberal do empreendedorismo acompanha as matérias, deslocando as discussões do campo das políticas públicas, responsabilizando tais jovens no que se refere aos seus sucessos e fracassos.

Resumo Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo produzir e avaliar painéis aglomerados com resíduo de pinus medianteuma metodologia de produçãoaplicada para painéis homogêneos e outra para heterogêneos. Os painéis homogêneos e heterogêneos foram produzidos com densidade inicial de 0,550 g/cm³ e com 10% e 12% de resina de poliuretano derivado do óleo de mamona (PUR) respectivamente. Abstract This research aimed to produce and evaluate particleboard with pinus waste using two production methodologies. One applied to homogeneous panels (single layer) and another to heterogeneous panels (three layers). The panels were produced with an initial density of 0.550 g/cm³, with 10% polyurethane resin derived from castor oil (PUR) for the homogeneous panels and 12% for the heterogeneous ones. The pressing parameters were 5 MPa, with a temperature of 100 ºC and 10 min of pressing, with an interval of 30 s. The tests performed according to NBR 14810-2 (ABNT, 2018) standard. Resumen El mejoramiento genético de los cultivares de soja a lo largo de los años se ha centrado en aumentar la capacidad productiva y la tolerancia a algunos factores abióticos y bióticos. Sin embargo, durante la transferencia de genes de interés, algunos genes responsables de una menor tolerancia a los herbicidas pueden integrarse en el genoma del nuevo cultivar. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la selectividad de las asociaciones de herbicidas apli cadas en la post-emergencia de tres cultivares de soja. El diseño experimental utilizado fue un bloque completamente al azar, con cuatro repeticiones. Los cultivares seleccionados fueron M7110 IPRO®, Foco IPRO® y Bônus IPRO®. Los herbicidas y las respectivas dosis (g a.i. ha-1) utilizados fueron: glyphosate (1176), glyphosate + bentazon (1176 + 600), glyphosate + fomesafen (1176 + 175), glyphosate + lactofen (1176 + 120), glyphosate + imazethapyr (1176 + 100), glyphosate + chlorimuron (1176 + 10), glyphosate + cloransulam (1176 + 39,5), y un control sin aplicación de herbicida. Se hizo una nota visual de intoxicación para cada tratamiento. Los componentes de crecimiento y rendimiento evaluados fueron: altura, rodal, peso de cien granos y rendimiento. La aplicación de herbicidas en post-emergencia no alteró la masa vegetal de los cultivares de soja. Además, estos herbicidas no redujeron el rendimiento de los cultivares M7110 IPRO® y Foco IPRO®. Tanto el glifosato aislado como mezclado con lactofen o imazethapyr redujeron el rendimiento del cultivar Bônus IPRO®.

Abstract The genetic improvement of soybean cultivars over the years has focused on increasing the yield potential and tolerance to some abiotic and biotic factors. However, during the transfer of genes of interest, some genes responsible for a lower tolerance to herbicides can be integrated into the genome of the new cultivar. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of herbicide associations applied in the postemergence period of three soybean cultivars. The experiment was conducted in a randomized completely block design, with four replications. The selected cultivars were M7110 IPRO®, Foco IPRO®, and Bônus IPRO®. The herbicides and the respective doses (g a.i. ha-1) used were glyphosate (1176), glyphosate + bentazon (1176 + 600), glyphosate + fomesafen (1176 + 175), glyphosate + lactofen (1176 + 120), glyphosate + imazethapyr (1176 + 100), glyphosate + chlorimuron (1176 + 10), glyphosate + cloransulam (1176 + 39.5), and a control without herbicide application. The visual note of intoxication was evaluated for each treatment. The components of growth and yield evaluated were height, stand, weight of one hundred grains, and yield. The application of postherbicide herbicides did not alter the plant stands of soybean cultivars. Additionally, these herbicides did not reduce the yield of the M7110 IPRO® and Foco IPRO® cultivars. Glyphosate isolated and in association with lactofen or imazethapyr reduced the grain yield of the Bônus IPRO® cultivar.

RESUMO: Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a importância da análise de variância (ANOVA) geral preliminar na interpretação dos dados de experimentos fatoriais sob nulidade total. Para isso, avaliou-se as taxas de erro tipo I familiar (FWER acumulada) do teste F para os componentes do desdobramento da ANOVA fatorial e da ANOVA fatorial on ranks, em comparação à FWER para o efeito global de tratamentos. Além disso, avaliou-se a FWER do teste de Tukey sob nulidade total para experimentos fatoriais na presença ou ausência da proteção da ANOVA preliminar (teste F global). O estudo foi conduzido a partir da simulação de dados de 2000 experimentos, separados em quatro cenários representativos da pesquisa agrícola. Tanto para a ANOVA fatorial paramétrica, quanto para a ANOVA fatorial não-paramétrica, as FWER ultrapassaram significativamente o nível nominal de 5%, mesmo sob nulidade total. Enquanto os testes que controlam a FWER total nos fatoriais não estiverem sendo utilizados, a ANOVA fatorial não deve ser realizada sem que o teste F da ANOVA preliminar acuse um efeito significativo. O mesmo, evidentemente, não se aplica aos testes que não são de comparações múltiplas, como Bonferroni, Dunn-Sidak e outros, que não precisam proteção da ANOVA. A mesma recomendação se aplica à ANOVA fatorial on ranks.

ABSTRACT: This research evaluated the importance of a preliminary general analysis of variance (ANOVA) in the interpretation of data from factorial experiments under total nullity. For this, we evaluated the familywise type I error rate (accumulated FWER) of the F test for the unfolding of factorial ANOVA and factorial ANOVA on ranks, which were compared with the FWER for the global effect of treatments. In addition, we evaluated the FWER of the Tukey’s test under total nullity for factorial experiments in the presence or absence of preliminary ANOVA protection (omnibus F test). The study was conducted by simulating data from 2,000 experiments, which were separated into four representative agricultural research scenarios. For both the parametric factorial ANOVA and the non-parametric factorial ANOVA, the FWER significantly exceeded the nominal level of 5%, even under total nullity. While the tests that control the total FWER in the factorials are not being used, the factorial ANOVA should not be performed without the preliminary ANOVA F test showing a significant effect. This, of course, does not apply to tests that are not multiple comparisons, such as Bonferroni, Dunn-Sidak and others, which do not need ANOVA protection. The same recommendation applies to the factorial ANOVA on ranks.

A eficácia de controle do glyphosate, aplicado isoladamente ou em associação a outros herbicidas, pode ser alterada em função da formulação do produto. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a eficácia de glyphosate em formulações contendo diferentes sais e concentrações, aplicado isolado e em associações a outros herbicidas, no controle de plantas daninhas em estádios avançados na operação de dessecação pré-semeadura. O experimento foi realizado a campo em área com histórico de elevada infestação de plantas daninhas. ABSTRACT The no-tillage system is a conservation system that helps sustainability and agricultural production. The effectiveness of glyphosate control, applied alone or in combination with other herbicides, can be altered depending on the product’s formulation. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of glyphosate in formulations containing different salts and concentrations, applied alone and in combination with other herbicides, in controlling weeds in advanced stages in the pre-sowing burndown operation. The experiment was carried out in the field in an area with a history of high weed infestation. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design, evaluating eleven treatments and four replicates. The treatments consisted of the application of three glyphosate-based formulations alone and in combination with clethodim and 2,4-D amine herbicides, in addition to a control without herbicide application. The evaluated variables were percentage of weed control and percentage of desiccation. A comparison of means by contrasts was performed to analyze the percentage of weed control. Medicinal products based on the Cannabis sativa plant are available in Brazil, among them, drug, cannabis products, individual import products, and those provided by patient associations. Despite this, there is no monograph for the evaluation of cannabinoids in Brazilian Pharmacopoeia (BP) or other compendia accepted. Therefore, this work aimed to develop a quick and easy method to quantify cannabinoids in authorized products for medicinal purposes. The method was developed by HPLC-UV, gradient elution composed of formic acid in acetonitrile and water, the flow rate of 0.6 mL min-1 and 220 nm detection. It was possible to resolve the peaks of cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiolic acid and cannabinol and to quantify CBD (105.35%; 104.07%) and THC (106.62%). The developed method was applied to two products and met the established requirements of precision, accuracy, linearity, and selectivity. This procedure has been tested on four cannabis-based products to attest to its effectiveness.
