RESUMO O aporte de resíduos vegetais ao longo dos ciclos da cana-de-açúcar favorece o incremento de matéria orgânica e atividade de microrganismos no solo, especialmente nas camadas superficiais. A textura do solo também tem um efeito importante nos processos ecológicos e na qualidade do solo. Nesse sentido, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar atributos biológicos do solo em diferentes ciclos de cultivo de cana-de-açúcar sob colheita mecanizada, em um Latossolo da região de cerrado do Brasil Central. O estudo foi realizado em áreas comerciais de cultivo de cana-de-açúcar na safra 2018/2019, consideradas homogêneas em termos de condições edafoclimáticas, tendo como fonte de variação entre as áreas os ciclos de cultivo (C1: um ciclo de cultivo; C3: três ciclos de cultivo; C7: sete ciclos de cultivo) e uma área de vegetação de cerrado selecionada como referência. Foram determinadas variáveis microbiológicas nas camadas de 0-0,10 e 0,10-0,20 m. As variáveis relacionados à biomassa microbiana e textura foram submetidos à análise de componentes principais. ABSTRACT The contribution of plant residues throughout the sugarcane cycles favors the increase of organic matter and the activity of microorganisms in the soil, especially in the surface layers. Soil texture also has an important effect on ecological processes and soil quality. In this context, the objective of this study was to evaluate soil biological attributes in different sugarcane cultivation cycles under mechanized harvesting in an Oxisol in the Savanna region of Central Brazil. The study was conducted in commercial areas under sugarcane cultivation during the 2018/2019 season, which were considered homogeneous in terms of soil and climatic conditions, with the source of variation among the areas being the cultivation cycles (C1: one cultivation cycle; C3: three cultivation cycles; C7: seven cultivation cycles) and a savanna vegetation area selected as a reference. RESUMEN El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad (TDAH) es un trastorno prevalente en la infancia y la adolescencia y presenta desafíos para los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Delante a esto, sería recomendable que los profesionales que trabajan en el contexto escolar tuvieran conocimientos sobre el trastorno, incluidos aspectos de diagnóstico y tratamiento. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de los profesores de las escuelas públicas estatales de Rondonyà sobre el TDAH. Se aplicó la versión brasileña de la Escala de Conocimiento de los Trastornos por Déficit de Atención (KADDS-Br) a 202 profesores de 18 municipios de Rondonyà. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos e inferenciales para explorar el grado de conocimiento, malentendidos y lagunas sobre el TDAH, incluida la puntuación total y tres subescalas de KADDS-Br: características generales, síntomas/diagnóstico y tratamiento. Los docentes que participaron del estudio mostraron un porcentaje de conocimiento sobre el TDAH del 52,67%, pero con errores relevantes (18,90%) y lagunas (28,48%). Con relación a dominios específicos, el porcentaje de conocimiento mostró cierta variabilidad, siendo más evidente con relación a síntomas/diagnósticos (69,54%) y menos prominente en características generales (46,45%) y tratamiento (48,95%). El nivel de conocimiento de los profesores de las escuelas públicas estatales de Rondonyà sobre el TDAH es medio, lo que sugiere la necesidad de una formación específica sobre el trastorno.

ABSTRACT The Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent disorder in childhood and adolescence and presents challenges for the teaching and learning processes. Given this, it would be recommended that professionals working in the school context knew about the disorder, including aspects of diagnosis and treatment. This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of teachers in state public schools in Rondônia about ADHD. The Brazilian version of the Knowledge of Attention Deficit Disorders Scale (KADDS-Br) was applied to 202 teachers from 18 municipalities in Rondônia. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted to explore the degree of knowledge, misunderstandings, and gaps about ADHD, including the total score and three subscales of KADDS-Br: general characteristics, symptoms/diagnosis, and treatment. The teachers who participated in the study showed a percentage of knowledge about ADHD of 52.67% but with relevant mistakes (18.90%) and gaps (28.48%). In relation to specific domains, the percentage of knowledge showed some variability, being more evident concerning symptoms/diagnoses (69.54%) and less prominent in general characteristics (46.45%) and treatment (48.95%). The level of knowledge of teachers in state public schools in Rondônia about ADHD is average, suggesting the need for specific training on the disorder.

Abstract: This is a documentary, exploratory, descriptive study, which is part of a multicenter international study assessing the national health systems with a care model based on primary health care of Brazil, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, funded by the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq, acronym in Portuguese). It aims to identify the basic health legislation, the right to health, and the doctrinal and organizational principles of each country with a focus on the impact of social determinants of health on the national health systems. The results showed these countries have similar legislation and doctrinal principles, with a constitutional right to health, based on primary health care, and with a care model of the family health type. The challenges identified were low birth rate and high life expectancy at birth in European countries and criteria for access to medication and care financing. Based on our findings, the countries with higher investment in a structural basis, ensuring more dignified, solid, and vigilant socioeconomic and sanitary conditions, provide an important differentiation in responsiveness and sustainability of the national health system and direct impact on the quality of life.

Resumen: Se trata de una investigación documental, exploratoria, descriptiva, parte de un estudio multicéntrico, internacional entre Brasil, España, Italia y Portugal sobre los Sistemas Nacionales de Salud con un modelo de atención basado en la atención primaria de salud y financiado por el Consejo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico (CNPq) de Brasil. Tiene como objetivo identificar la legislación de base de la salud, el derecho a la salud y los principios doctrinales y organizativos de cada país seleccionado con énfasis en el impacto de los determinantes sociales de la salud sobre los sistemas nacionales de salud. Los resultados revelaron países con legislaciones y principios doctrinales similares, con derecho a salud constitucional, anclados en la atención primaria de salud y con un modelo asistencial de acceso del tipo salud de la familia. Los desafíos encontrados fueron la baja tasa de natalidad y la alta esperanza de vida al nacer en países europeos y criterios para el acceso a medicamentos y financiación asistencial. Con base en nuestros hallazgos, los países que tuvieron mayor inversión en base estructural, asegurando condiciones socioeconómicas y sanitarias más dignas, sólidas y vigilantes, garantizan una diferenciación importante en la capacidad de respuesta y sostenibilidad del sistema nacional de salud y en el impacto directo en la calidad de vida de las personas.

Os desafios encontrados foram a baixa natalidade e elevada expectativa de vida ao nascer em países europeus e critérios para acesso a medicamentos e financiamento assistencial. Abstract Roadkill is one of the most direct impacts on fauna, leading to numerous direct and indirect impacts. Road-killed animals could serve as a resource for research and teaching purposes, but first, they need to have their tissues preserved by some technique. Plastination is one of the most modern techniques for the conservation of biological tissues, its principle is the replacement of body fluids by a curable polymer, resulting in a non-toxic, odorless, and manipulable material. So the main aim of this work was to compose a collection of plastinated roadkill victims from the Biological Reserve Sooretama region, adapting the standard protocol to the different taxa worked here (Avialae, Reptilia, Amphibia, and Mammalia). For this, 42 animals were used, previously frozen and stored in the Sooretama Biological Reserve and Vale Natural Reserve until they were sent for processing. Upon arriving at the Plastination laboratory at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, the animals underwent the 4 stages of plastination: fixation, dehydration, forced impregnation, and chemical cure; some adaptations were made to improve the final specimens. The results proved that the plastination of these animals is extremely viable in generating satisfactory results. Given the results obtained, it becomes clear how plastination can become an alternative to implement in the composition of biological collections using roadkill animals. ABSTRACT. This study aimed to correlate the physical characteristics of ground corn, at different crushing intensities, with the zootechnical performance of piglets in the nursery phase. Forty piglets (20 castrated males and 20 females) with an initial average weight of 15.7±1.98 kg and final weight of 32.5±3.27 kg were used. They were subjected to the same type of experimental diet (4% of commercial premix for the phase, 29% of soybean meal, and 67% of ground corn), with the only difference being the corn grinding process. The corn used was fractionated into five portions, and each one of them was crushed in a hammermill equipped with a different screen hole diameter (2; 2.5; 3; 3.5 and 4 mm). Which resulted in ground corn with the following particle sizes (PS): 518, 580, 628, 706 and 740 μm, and the following corn geometric standard deviations (GSD): 1.72, 1.71, 1.75, 1.80 and 1.90, respectively. The piglets were distributed in a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications, with the experimental units being formed by pens with two piglets each. There was no effect (p > 0.10) from grinding intensities on daily feed intake (DFI) and daily weight gain (DWG). Conversely, there was an effect (p < 0.10) from different grinding intensities on feed conversion (FC). The PS and GSD of both the corn and diet, as well as the corn fractions retained on the 4-, 2- and 1.2-mm test sieves showed positive correlations with FC (p < 0.05). On the other hand, the corn fractions retained on the 0.6-, 0.3- and 0.15-mm teste sieves showed negative correlations with FC (p < 0.05). The linear model was the one that fitted the estimated data into the data observed for FC. A corn PS reduction from 740 to 580 μm promoted a linear improvement in FC. The use of corn fractions, retained on the 1-, 2- and 0.3-mm test sieves, and the use of corn GSD and diet GSD as independent variables showed a higher R² than that obtained with the use of corn PS as an independent variable in linear equations for estimating FC. Resumo O socioconstrutivismo é uma ampla concepção sociológico-filosófica da ciência que pode ser assim apresentado: i) uma explicação da aceitação de realizações científicas bem-sucedidas deve ser feita por meio do emprego de critérios epistemológicos e de fatores sociocomunitários; ii) o conhecimento produzido pelas realizações científicas bem-sucedidas não é uma representação da realidade. Abstract Social constructivism can be taken as a broad sociological-philosophical approach of science which is introduced as follows: i) an explanation of the acceptance of successful scientific achievements ought to be done through the use of epistemological criteria and social community factors; ii) the knowledge produced by successful scientific achievements cannot be taken as a representation of reality. RESUMO Objetivo Descrever o perfil sociodemográfico e de acompanhamento do uso da profilaxia pré-exposição (PrEP) ao HIV entre pessoas trans atendidas em um serviço de saúde referência em infecções sexualmente transmissíveis e HIV/aids no município de São Paulo entre 2018 e 2021. Método Estudo descritivo com análise de dados sociodemográficos, motivos de procura da PrEP, descontinuidade do uso e experiências de acompanhamento clínico. Empregou-se estatística descritiva. Resultados Entre as 53 pessoas, a maioria era parda (n=25), mulheres trans (n=48), heterossexual (n=38) e com mais de 11 anos de estudos (n=22). Houve uma diminuição nas visitas de acompanhamento (n=14 para n=3) a partir da segunda consulta. Conclusão É necessário desenvolver estratégias para aumentar a dispensação e continuidade do uso da PrEP entre pessoas trans, principalmente entre pretas e com menor escolaridade.

ABSTRACT Objective To describe the sociodemographic and clinical follow-up profile of the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) of HIV among transgender people receiving care at a reference health service for sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS in São Paulo, the capital city of São Paulo state, between 2018 and 2021. Method This was a descriptive study with an analysis of sociodemographic data, reasons for seeking PrEP , discontinuation of use and experiences of clinical follow-up. Descriptive statistics were used. Results Among the 53 individuals, the majority were mixed-race (n= 25), transgender women (n= 48), heterosexual (n= 38) and had more than 11 years of study (n= 22). There was a decrease in follow-up visits (n= 14 to n= 3) after the second medical consultation. Conclusion It is necessary to develop strategies to increase PrEP dispensing and continuation among transgender people, especially among Black people and those with lower level of education.

RESUMEN Objetivo Describir el perfil sociodemográfico y el seguimiento del uso de la profilaxis preexposición (PrEP) para el VIH entre las personas transexuales atendidas en un servicio de salud de referencia para infecciones de transmisión sexual y VIH/sida en la ciudad de São Paulo entre 2018 y 2021. Método Estudio descriptivo que analizó datos sociodemográficos, motivos de búsqueda de PrEP, interrupción del uso y experiencias de seguimiento clínico. Se utilizó estadística descriptiva. Resultados Entre las 53 personas, la mayoría eran morenas (n=25), mujeres trans (n=48), heterosexuales (n=38) y con más de 11 años de escolaridad (n=22). Hubo una disminución de las visitas de seguimiento (de n=14 a n=3) a partir de la segunda consulta. Conclusión Es necesario desarrollar estrategias para aumentar la dispensación y la continuidad del uso de la PPrE entre las personas trans, especialmente entre las personas de raza negra y con menor nivel de escolarización.

Abstract This study compares the effects of virus-cell interactions among SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOCs) isolated in Brazil in 2021, hypothesizing a correlation between cellular alterations and mortality and between viral load and transmissibility. For this purpose, reference isolates of Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, and Delta variants were inoculated into monolayers of Vero-E6 cells. Viral RNA was quantified in cell supernatants by RT‒PCR, and infected cells were analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of cellular changes 24, 48, and 72 hours postinfection (hpi). Ultrastructural analyses showed that all variants of SARS-CoV-2 altered the structure and function of mitochondria, nucleus, and rough endoplasmic reticulum of cells. Monolayers infected with the Delta variant showed the highest number of modified cells and the greatest statistically significant differences compared to those of other variants. Viral particles were observed in the cytosol and the cell membrane in 100 % of the cells at 48 hpi. Alpha showed the highest mean particle diameter (79 nm), and Gamma and Delta were the smallest (75 nm). Alpha and Gamma had the highest particle frequency per field at 48 hpi, while the same was observed for Zeta and Delta at 72 hpi and 24 hpi, respectively. The cycle threshold of viral RNA varied among the target protein, VOC, and time of infection. Resumo Este estudo verificou o efeito da combinação ácido fluorídrico pré-aquecido/silano/corrente elétrica na adesão do cimento resinoso à cerâmica. Os discos cerâmicos IPS E.max Press embutidos em tubos rígidos de PVC foram separados em quatro grupos associando ácido fluorídrico pré-aquecido e silano aplicado com corrente elétrica (n=10): Ha+S (ácido aquecido + silano); Ha+S+Ec (Ácido aquecido + silano + corrente elétrica); A+S (Ácido + silano) e A+S+EC (Ácido + silano + corrente elétrica). Amostras de cimento resinoso/cerâmica foram armazenadas em água a 37°C por 24 horas. Após o armazenamento foram submetidas ao ensaio de micro cisalhamento, análise de fratura e ângulo de contato no período de 24 horas ou após termociclagem (10.000 ciclos/5-55ºC). Os dados de resistência de união foram avaliados por ANOVA dois fatores. Para comparação entre os tempos de avaliação (24 horas ou termociclagem) foi aplicado o teste t não pareado. Foi assumida significância de 5% para análises e gráficos (software GraphPad Prism 9.0). Em 24 horas, a resistência ao micro cisalhamento apresentou valores similares entre os grupos Ha+S, Ha+S+Ec e A+S+Ec, enquanto A+S apresentou menor valor com diferença estatística. Após a termociclagem, Ha+S e Ha+S+Ec foram similares, assim como A+S e A+S+Ec. Houve diferença significativa em todos os grupos comparando 24 horas (maior valor) com após termociclagem (menor valor). A fratura adesiva foi predominante em todos os grupos e tempos de avaliação. Os grupos Ha+S e A+S apresentaram maiores valores de ângulos de contato comparados aos grupos Ha+S+Ec e A+S+Ec com valores menores. Abstract This study verified the effect of the combination of preheated hydrofluoric acid/silane/electric current in the adhesion of the resin cement to ceramic. IPS E.max Press ceramic discs embedded in PVC rigid tubes were divided into four groups associating preheated hydrofluoric acid and silane applied with electrical current (n=10): Ha+S (Heated acid + silane); Ha+S+Ec (Heated acid + silane + electrical current); A+S (Acid + silane) and A+S+Ec (Acid + silano + electrical current). Resin cement/ceramic samples were stored in water at 37°C for 24h. After storage, they were submitted to the microshear test, fracture analysis, and contact angle at 24h or after thermocycling (10,000 cycles/5-55ºC). Bond strength data were evaluated by two-way ANOVA. For comparison between evaluation times (24h or thermocycling) was applied unpaired t-test. A significance post-hoc test of p=0.05 was assumed for analyses and graphs (GraphPad Prism 9.0 software). At 24h, the microshear strength showed similar values between Ha+S, Ha+S+Ec, and A+S+Ec groups, while A+S showed the lowest value with a statistical difference. After thermocycling, Ha+S and Ha+S+Ec were similar, as well as A+S and A+S+Ec. There was a significant difference in all groups comparing 24h (highest value) with after thermocycling (lowest value). Adhesive fracture was predominant in all groups and evaluation times. Ha+S and A+S groups showed higher contact angle values compared to the Ha+S+Ec and A+S+Ec with lower values. RESUMO Este estudo investigou o tratamento de um efluente sintético contendo o corante azo Reactive Black 5 (50 mg·L⁻1) em reatores acidogênicos seguidos por diferentes unidades de pós-tratamento aeróbio: reatores de leito móvel com biofilme (em inglês, moving bed biofilm reactors, MBBR) e filtros biológicos percoladores (FBP). Foi avaliado o efeito da adição do mediador redox antraquinona-2-sulfonato (AQS) (50 μM) ao sistema, do tempo de detenção hidráulica (TDH) (6 e 4 horas) nos MBBR e do tipo de meio suporte (cubos de espuma de poliuretano e biomídia K1) nos FBP. Os reatores acidogênicos foram os principais responsáveis pela descoloração do RB5 nas concepções anaeróbias-aeróbias avaliadas neste trabalho, e o AQS melhorou significativamente sua eficiência de descoloração. ABSTRACT This study investigated the treatment of a synthetic effluent containing the azo dye Reactive Black 5 (50 mg·L–1) in acidogenic reactors followed by different aerobic post-treatment units, namely, moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBRs) and tricking filters (TFs). The effect of the addition of the redox mediator anthraquinone-2-sulfonate (AQS) (50 μM) to the system, hydraulic retention time (HRT) (6 and 4 h) in the MBBRs, and type of support medium (polyurethane foam cubes and K1 biomedia) in the TFs was evaluated. The acidogenic reactors were mainly responsible for the decolorization of RB5 in the anaerobic–aerobic designs evaluated in this study, and AQS significantly improved their decolorization efficiency. The use of a shorter HRT (4 h) in the MBBRs negatively influenced the color and COD removal performance in the reactors. Polyurethane foam proved to be more viable as a support medium, as it is a more accessible and low-cost material. Resumo Estruturas de concreto armado devem ser projetadas de maneira a garantir um nível aceitável de segurança e desempenho. Porém, acidentes ainda são observados atualmente causando interdições, perdas financeiras, e até mesmo humanas. Portanto, estudos aprofundados são necessários para responder a essas situações indesejáveis, prevenindo sua repetição e desenvolvendo novas formas de dimensionamento e construção. O presente trabalho analisa o mecanismo de falha observado em um extenso painel de concreto armado composto por uma parede em balanço apoiada em um pilar parede, localizados na cidade de Campinas. As investigações foram realizadas in loco utilizando testes destrutíveis e não destrutíveis e também via simulações numéricas. Os testes in loco revelaram que a região onde ocorreu a ruptura localizada não possuía quantidade suficiente de armadura metálica. Abstract Reinforced concrete structures must be designed in a manner that assures an acceptable level of safety and performance. However, accidents still occur nowadays causing interdiction, financial losses, or even human casualties. Therefore, succinct studies are required to give answers to such an undesirable situation, helping to prevent repetition and enlightening new design and construction methods. This paper analyzes the failure mechanism in a large reinforced concrete panel composed of one L-shaped cantilevered wall and structural walls in Campinas. The investigation was carried out using in-situ destructive and non-destructive tests and also through numerical simulation. In-situ tests revealed that the region where the fracture happened had no sufficient resisting steel area. The fracture line developed through the end of the wall’s horizontal rebars anchored within the column. Resumo: Neste estudo, nosso objetivo é compreender de que maneira os docentes constroem sentidos acerca de suas práticas, ao integrar a Matemática e a Educação do Campo durante um processo de formação contínua, em um contexto de pesquisa-formação. Adotamos a pesquisa-formação qualitativa, por meio da qual ensaiamos e analisamos um novo modelo teórico e epistemológico, o qual é denominando neste artigo Movimento de Reorientação Didático-Pedagógica (MRDP), que consiste em um processo contínuo de revisão e atualização de práticas pedagógicas pelos docentes. Abstract: Our goal is to gain a better understanding of how teachers construct meanings from their practices while incorporating Mathematics and Rural Education during continuous training. We use qualitative research to foster an environment in which educators can actively participate in their development. We test and analyze a new theoretical and epistemological model, the Didactic-Pedagogical Reorientation Movement, which consists of teachers continuously reviewing and updating their pedagogical practices. The findings indicate that teachers establish meanings between culture and mathematical knowledge, with interdisciplinarity highlighted as an additional meaning attributed to mathematics. Finally, we identify autonomy as a newly established meaning and a characteristic that teachers attribute to their practice, indicating a trend toward becoming more reflective in their roles. Abstract Objective: This study aims to understand how researchers have approached gamification in entrepreneurship education and based on this analysis, propose directions for future research through the systematization of Theories, Contexts, Characteristics, and Methodologies (TCCM Framework). Methodology: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) protocol was used for the systematic review in eight research databases (Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, Springer, Emerald, Wiley, Sage, and Taylor & Francis). 33 empirical studies published between 2017 and 2022 were included. Main results: Most of the research did not explore a variety of existing theories, such as the Theory of Planned Behavior. Additionally, the works focus on higher education, with a gap in the context of primary and secondary education. Resumo: Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, exploratória, descritiva, partindo de um estudo multicêntrico e internacional entre Brasil, Espanha, Itália e Portugal sobre sistemas nacionais de saúde com modelo de atenção baseado na atenção primária à saúde e financiado pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) do Brasil. Tem como objetivo identificar as legislações de base da saúde, o direito à saúde e os princípios doutrinários e organizativos de cada país selecionado com ênfase no impacto dos determinantes sociais de saúde sobre os sistemas nacionais de saúde. Os resultados revelaram países com legislações e princípios doutrinários semelhantes, com direito à saúde constitucional, ancorados na atenção primária à saúde, e com modelo assistencial de acesso do tipo saúde da família. Os desafios encontrados foram a baixa natalidade e elevada expectativa de vida ao nascer em países europeus e critérios para acesso a medicamentos e financiamento assistencial. Abstract: This is a documentary, exploratory, descriptive study, which is part of a multicenter international study assessing the national health systems with a care model based on primary health care of Brazil, Spain, Italy, and Portugal, funded by the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq, acronym in Portuguese). It aims to identify the basic health legislation, the right to health, and the doctrinal and organizational principles of each country with a focus on the impact of social determinants of health on the national health systems. The results showed these countries have similar legislation and doctrinal principles, with a constitutional right to health, based on primary health care, and with a care model of the family health type. The challenges identified were low birth rate and high life expectancy at birth in European countries and criteria for access to medication and care financing. Based on our findings, the countries with higher investment in a structural basis, ensuring more dignified, solid, and vigilant socioeconomic and sanitary conditions, provide an important differentiation in responsiveness and sustainability of the national health system and direct impact on the quality of life. ABSTRACT Background: The intensity of dengue virus (DV) replication and circulating non-structural protein 1 (NS1) levels may promote changes in the human immune response and favor severe forms of infection. We investigated the correlations between NS1 with CXCL-8, CXCL-10, IFN-γ, and IL-12p40 serum levels, and IFN-γ receptor α chain (CD119) expression, and CXCL10 production by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) stimulated with recombinant IFN-γ in DV-infected patients with different clinical forms. Methods: Dengue virus NS1, CXCL-8, CXCL-10, IFN-γ, and IL-12p40 serum levels were measured in 152 DV-infected patients with different clinical forms and 20 non-infected individuals (NI) using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). In addition, we investigated the CXCL-10 production after in vitro IFN-γ stimulation of PBMCs from 48 DV-infected individuals (with different clinical forms of dengue fever) and 20 NI individuals using ELISA, and CD119 expression on CD14+ cells with flow cytometry. Results: Patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) had significantly higher NS1, CXCL-8, and CXCL-10 serum levels than those with classic dengue fever (DF). The response of PBMCs to IFN-γ stimulation was lower in patients with DHF than in those with DF or dengue with complications (DWC), with lower CD119 expression and reduced CXCL-10 synthesis. In addition, these alterations are associated with high NS1 serum levels. Conclusions: Patients with DHF reported high NS1 levels, low CD119 expression, and low CXCL-10 synthesis in PBMCs, which may be associated with infection progression and severity.
