Resumo Este artigo analisa o modo como o canal Disney+ emprega o valor de diversidade para a construção de suas narrativas mais contemporâneas, em especial na série de curtas-metragens SparkShorts, da Pixar. A iniciativa renegocia o passado da Disney, marcado por críticas às representações estereotipadas de culturas e grupos sociais, aproximando-se de pautas dos movimentos LGBTQIA+, de pessoas com deficiência, negros e mulheres. Abstract This paper analyzes how Disney+ channel employs the value of diversity to build its most contemporary narratives, especially in Pixar's SparkShorts short film series. As we discussed, the initiative renegotiates Disney's past, marked by criticism of stereotyped representations of cultures and social groups, approaching the agendas of the LGBTQIA+ movements, people with disabilities, black people and women. Based on the notion of difference, we seek to demonstrate that the series, while enabling new narratives based on the experiences of its directors, also stands itself as a space for the affirmation and construction of Disney as a brand. Toma como objeto empírico três canais – Põe na Roda, Canal das Bee e Dragse – que tensionam convenções midiáticas de masculinidades e feminilidades na relação com matrizes do talk show e de programas de debate. Abstract This analytical paper proposes reflection on transformations of the television conversation operated on YouTube, with special interest in bodies that position themselves as dissidents. It takes as its empirical object three channels - Põe na Roda [Talk to All], Canal das Bee [Bee Channel] and Drag-se [Drag yourself] - that stress mediatic conventions of masculinities and femininities in relation to matrices of talk show and debate programs. The study points to places of reinforcement of the binary convention that marks the television bodies, despite the interest in identifying YouTube traffic places. It presents a historicized approach to the phenomenon, investing in the notion of television genre as a figure of historicities, in association with the sense of performance and self-reports.

O artigo discute a formação do gênero talk show no Brasil, com base nas configurações históricas dos programas Globo Gente (Globo, 1973) e Jô Soares Onze e Meia (SBT, 1988 a 2000), ambos apresentados por Jô Soares. A questão que norteia este artigo é: quais as diferenças contextuais que possibilitaram o fracasso do Globo Gente e o sucesso do Onze e Meia de modo a fomentar e popularizar o gênero talk show no Brasil? A partir da noção de gênero como categoria cultural desenvolvida por Jason Mittell, procura-se na crítica televisiva e acadêmica os discursos sobre o talk show no Brasil e as condições que levaram a seu fortalecimento na grade de programação.

This article discusses the formation of the talk show genre in Brazil, based on the historical configurations of the Globo Gente (Globo, 1973) and Jô Soares Onze e Meia (SBT, 1988 to 2000) talk shows, both hosted by Jô Soares. The question that guides this article is: What are the contextual differences that led the Globo Gente program to flop and the Onze e Meia program to succeed, thus promoting and popularizing the talk show genre in Brazil? Based on the notion of genre as a cultural category developed by Jason Mittell (2001), television and academic criticism is analyzed to pinpoint the discourse about the talk show in Brazil and the conditions that strengthened it as an important component of television scheduling.
