Abstract Objective: to evaluate nursing professionals and patient safety culture during the professional performance in the care of suspected or infected patients with COVID-19. Method: a cross-sectional study carried out with 90 professionals from critical care units of two teaching hospitals. An instrument for sociodemographic characterization and health conditions was used, in addition to the constructs “Nursing professional and patient safety” and the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Univariate analyzes were performed between the diagnosis of COVID-19 and the characteristics of Nursing professionals, applying Kendell’s correlation between the constructs. Results: the COVID-19 diagnosis presented a significant statistical difference between nursing professionals that worked for more than six years at the critical care unit (p=0.020) and the items of the construct “Nursing professional and patient safety” regarding the doubts about how to remove the personal protective equipment (p=0.013) and safety flow (p=0,021). The dimensions 2 (p=0.003), 3 (p=0.009), 4 (p=0.013), 6 (p<0.001), and 9 (p=0.024) of the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture were associated with the accomplishment of training. Conclusion: a higher professional nursing experience time was associated with non-infection by COVID-19. The perception of the safety culture of the patient was related to the accomplishment of training.

Resumen Objetivo: evaluar la seguridad de los profesionales de enfermería y la cultura de seguridad del paciente durante su actuación profesional en el cuidado de pacientes sospechosos o con COVID-19. Método: estudio transversal realizado con 90 profesionales de unidades críticas de dos hospitales universitarios. Se utilizó un instrumento de caracterización sociodemográfica y de condiciones de salud, además de los constructos “Seguridad del profesional y del paciente” y Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Se realizaron análisis univariados entre el diagnóstico de COVID-19 y las características de los profesionales y se aplicó la correlación de Kendell entre los constructos. Resultados: el diagnóstico de COVID-19 mostró diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre los profesionales que actuaron por más de seis años en la unidad (p=0,020) y los ítems del constructo “Seguridad del profesional y del paciente” referentes a dudas sobre cómo retirar el Equipo de Protección Personal (p=0,013) y flujo seguro (p=0,021). Las dimensiones 2 (p=0,003), 3 (p=0,009), 4 (p=0,013), 6 (p<0,001) y 9 (p=0,024) del Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture se asociaron a la realización de formación. Conclusión: mayor tiempo de experiencia profesional de enfermería se asoció con la no infección por COVID-19. La percepción de la cultura de seguridad del paciente se relacionó con la realización de entrenamiento.

Resumo Objetivo: avaliar a segurança dos profissionais de enfermagem e a cultura de segurança do paciente durante a atuação profissional no atendimento de pacientes suspeitos ou com COVID-19. Método: estudo transversal realizado com 90 profissionais de unidades críticas de dois hospitais-escola. Foi utilizado um instrumento para caracterização sociodemográfica e condições de saúde, além dos constructos “Segurança do profissional e do paciente” e Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Foram realizadas análises univariadas entre o diagnóstico de COVID-19 e as características dos profissionais, aplicando-se a correlação de Kendell entre os constructos. Resultados: o diagnóstico de COVID-19 apresentou diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os profissionais que trabalhavam há mais de seis anos na unidade (p=0,020) e os itens do constructo “Segurança do profissional e do paciente” referentes às dúvidas sobre como retirar o equipamento de proteção individual (p=0,013) e fluxo seguro (p=0,021). As dimensões 2 (p=0,003), 3 (p=0,009), 4 (p=0,013), 6 (p<0,001) e 9 (p=0,024) do Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture foram associadas à realização de treinamentos. Conclusão: maior tempo de experiência profissional do profissional de enfermagem esteve associado a não infecção por COVID-19. A percepção de cultura de segurança do paciente esteve relacionada à realização de treinamentos.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the effects of different physical exercise programs and polymorphisms of the FTO (fat mass and obesity-associated gene) on body composition and cardiovascular risk factors in adolescents with overweight and obesity. Methods: A randomized, parallel, double-blind clinical trial consisting of the adolescent overweight from the state public network, in a simple representative random sample, who participated in an aerobic exercise or weight training intervention for 10 weeks. Anthropometry, body composition, biochemical markers, sexual maturation, and rs9939609 polymorphism in the FTO gene were assessed. 347 adolescents had their characterization of nutritional status. 72 individuals with overweight and obesity were invited to participate. 39 remained for the start of the program and were randomly allocated to both types of intervention. In the end, 26 subjects participated in the intervention programs, with 12 and 14 in the aerobic and weight training programs, respectively. Results: Heterozygous and homozygous bearers of risk allele A participating in the aerobic program showed improvements in glycemia (p = 0.002) and total cholesterol (p = 0.023) and a reduction in body fat mass (p = 0.041). The weight training program reduced glycemia in patients with the risk allele A (p = 0.027). Cameron’s stage four sexual maturation participants were 2.1 times more likely to improve their body fat (CI = 1.31–3.39). Conclusion: Aerobic exercises produced exclusively a significant decrease in fat mass and total cholesterol in patients with risk allele A. Distinct physical exercise programs may cause diverse changes in risk variables related to the health of adolescents.

ABSTRACT: The production of artisanal cheeses made with raw bovine milk has grown in the southern region of Brazil. It is important to obtain information about the risks of this practice, especially concerning food safety. In this study, next-generation sequencing was used to identify and characterize the bacterial communities of artisanal raw milk cheeses. We analyzed one pool of five raw milk samples (control group M1) from different dairy farms and nine pools (M2-M10) of 45 artisanal raw milk cheeses.The characterization of the bacterial communities included 199 species distributed across 59 different genera dispersed among the samples. Among the genera observed, 11 were classified as beneficial to the aroma, flavour, colour, and texture of the cheese. Thirty-one genera were classified as harmful to these characteristics. Another 17 were classified as potential pathogens for animals and humans, including Aeromonas, Bacillus, Cronobacter, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and bacteria of the coliform group, including E. coli and Klebsiella. There was a significant difference (P < 0.05) in the number of bacterial communities identified between the control group (M1) and the two pools of artisanal raw milk cheeses (M2 and M8). This study demonstrated that next-generation sequencing provides in-depth information on the composition of the microbiota in artisanal raw milk cheeses, characterizing bacterial communities, identifying the wide microbial diversity, and identifying microbial benefits and risks.

RESUMO: Devido ao aumento da produção de queijos artesanais com leite bovino cru na região sul do Brasil, é importante obter informações sobre os riscos desta prática, principalmente no que se refere à segurança do alimento. Neste estudo foi utilizada a técnica de Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) para identificar e caracterizar comunidades bacterianas de queijos artesanais de leite cru. Foram analisados um pool de cinco amostras de leite cru como grupo controle (M1) de diferentes propriedades leiteiras localizadas na região norte do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, e nove pools (M2-M10) de 45 queijos artesanais de leite cru. A caracterização das comunidades bacterianas incluiu 199 espécies distribuídas em 59 gêneros diferentes dispersos entre as amostras. Dentre os gêneros observados, 11 foram classificados como benéficos ao aroma, sabor, cor e textura do queijo, enquanto 31 gêneros foram classificados como prejudiciais a essas características. Outros 17 foram classificados como potenciais patogênicos para animais e humanos, incluindo Aeromonas, Bacillus, Cronobacter, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, bactérias do grupo coliforme como Escherichia coli e Klebsiella. Houve diferença significativa (P < 0,05) entre o número de comunidades bacterianas identificadas no grupo controle (M1) e dois pools de queijos artesanais de leite cru (M2 e M8). Este estudo demonstra que o NGS fornece informações detalhadas sobre a composição da microbiota em queijos artesanais de leite cru, caracterizando comunidades bacterianas, identificando a ampla diversidade microbiana, os benefícios e riscos microbianos.

Abstract Objective To analyze the risk of falls and its association with demographic and clinical variables, cognitive status, risk of sarcopenia and frailty among older adults hospitalized in a medical clinic of a university hospital. Method A quantitative, observational, cross-sectional analytical study of 60 older adults hospitalized in the medical clinic of a university hospital in São Paulo city, São Paulo state, Brazil, was carried out. Questionnaires collecting demographic profile and clinical data, the Mini-Mental State Examination, Morse Scale, SARC-F Scale and Tilburg Frailty Indicator were applied. Descriptive analyses and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test were performed. Spearman’s correlation test was used for quantitative variables and the Mann-Whitney U-test for categorical variables. Multiple linear regression was used to identify the associations and a significance level of 5% was adopted. Results The study sample comprised predominantly individuals that were female, aged 60-79 years and without a partner. Overall, 80% had cognitive impairment, 88.3% were diagnosed as frail, 60% were at risk for sarcopenia, and 75% had a high risk of falls during hospitalization. Cognitive impairment, frailty and sarcopenia risk were associated with risk of falls in the hospitalized older adults. Conclusion High risk of falls in the hospitalized older adults was directly associated with the presence of cognitive impairment, frailty syndrome and sarcopenia risk, confirming that these factors warrant attention from managers and nursing professionals.

Resumo Objetivo analisar o risco de queda e sua associação com as variáveis demográficas, clínicas, estado cognitivo, risco de sarcopenia e fragilidade da pessoa idosa hospitalizada em uma clínica médica de um hospital universitário. Método Estudo quantitativo, observacional, transversal e analítico realizado com 60 pessoas idosas hospitalizadas na clínica médica de um hospital universitário da cidade de São Paulo – SP, Brasil, com o uso dos seguintes questionários: perfil demográfico, dados clínicos, Mini Exame do Estado Mental, Escala de Morse, Escala SARC-F e Índice de Fragilidade Tilburg. Foram realizadas análises descritivas e teste de normalidade de Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Para as variáveis quantitativas foi utilizado o teste de correlação de Spearman e para categóricas, o teste U Mann-Whitney. Para identificar a associação, foi utilizada a regressão linear múltipla e adotado um nível de significância de 5%. Resultados Predomínio do sexo feminino, entre 60-79 anos e sem companheiro (a). Ademais, 80% apresentavam comprometimento cognitivo, 88,3% foram categorizados como frágeis, 60% apresentavam risco para sarcopenia e 75% possuíam alto risco de queda durante a hospitalização. Verificou-se associação do comprometimento cognitivo, ser frágil e ter risco de sarcopenia com o risco de queda na pessoa idosa hospitalizada. Conclusão o elevado risco de quedas em idosos hospitalizados está diretamente relacionado com a presença de deficit cognitivo, síndrome da fragilidade e o risco para sarcopenia, afirmando que esses fatores merecem atenção dos gestores e profissionais de enfermagem.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the presence of e-health literacy in university students and analyze their consumption of information about nutrition on social media. METHODS: A cross-sectional study carried out with university students using a self-completed online questionnaire. The questions comprised sociodemographic and academic information and the e-Health Literacy Scale (eHEALS). The analyzes were performed in statistical software aiming at the correlation between the variables. The calculation of the eHEALS scale was performed through the sum of answers to the questions, so the higher the value observed, the greater the perception of e-health literacy competence of the students. RESULTS: The study had the participation of 241 undergraduates with a median age of 22.7 years, 73.1% of respondents were female, only 39.3% were students from health centers and 55.4% were between the first and the sixth period of graduation. About 92.1% access social networks daily, with screen time ranging from 2 to 3 hours/day. Among those with greater access to digital media, there was a significant demand for information related to nutrition and health, such as hypertrophy, diets and weight loss. In general, the students showed a favorable e-literacy in health, with the average of students from health centers being higher than that of other courses. CONCLUSIONS: University students present satisfactory e-health literacy. The students of the biological sciences and health courses demonstrated to have greater digital health literacy than the undergraduates of the other courses. Those with greater access to social networks have a significant interest in looking for topics related to nutrition, such as hypertrophy, eating behavior, diets and weight loss, topics closely linked to aesthetics.

OBJETIVO: Observar a presença de e-literacia em saúde em estudantes universitários e analisar o consumo de informações sobre nutrição nas mídias sociais pelos mesmos. MÉTODOS: Estudo transversal, realizado com estudantes universitários, por meio de um questionário online auto preenchível. As questões compreendiam informações de cunho sociodemográfico, acadêmico e a escala de e-literacia em Saúde (eHEALS).&nbsp; As análises foram realizadas em softwares estatísticos visando a correlação entre as variáveis. O cálculo da escala eHEALS foi efetuado através do somatório das respostas das questões, logo, quanto maior o valor observado, maior será a percepção de competência de e-literacia em saúde dos estudantes. RESULTADO: O estudo contou com a participação de 241 graduandos com mediana de idade de 22,7 anos, 73,1% dos respondentes eram do sexo feminino, apenas 39,3% eram estudantes dos centros de saúde e 55,4% estavam entre o primeiro e o sexto período da graduação. Cerca de 92,1% acessam as redes sociais diariamente, com tempo de tela variando de 2 a 3 horas/dia. Dentre aqueles com maior acesso as mídias digitais, percebeu-se&nbsp; procura significativa por informações ligadas a nutrição e saúde, como hipertrofia, dietas e emagrecimento. Os estudantes apresentaram e-literacia em saúde favorável, sendo a média dos estudantes dos centros da saúde maior que dos demais cursos. CONCLUSÕES: Os estudantes universitários apresentam e-literacia em saúde satisfatória. Os alunos dos cursos das ciências biológicas e saúde demonstraram possuir maior letramento digital em saúde que os graduandos dos demais cursos.

Resumo Objetivos Descrever os eventos metacognitivos contidos nos relatos de alunos de enfermagem após participação em jogo educativo e identificar as operações metacognitivas presentes nos relatos de alunos de enfermagem após participação no jogo educativo. Método Estudo qualitativo para a compreensão de eventos e processos metacognitivos de vinte e seis estudantes engajados na solução de um caso de distúrbios eletrolíticos, orientados pelo processo de enfermagem. Dados coletados por entrevista semiestruturada. Análise de conteúdo com categorias teóricas da metacognição para procedimentos dedutivos e classificatórios. Resultados Foram identificadas quinze características do processo e do controle durante o jogo, com operações metacognitivas a partir de eventos metacognitivos presentes nas falas dos participantes do jogo. As fases de antecipação, de controle da performance e de autorregulação reflexiva foram utilizadas para classificar as quinze características emergentes da tarefa. Conclusão A participação em um jogo educacional orientado à aprendizagem do processo de enfermagem pode evidenciar descrições de eventos metacognitivos, clarificando processos mentais. Implicações para a prática Conhecer as características de um trajeto metacognitivo mais comum pode facilitar a atuação do professor como mediador e facilitador da aprendizagem em aspectos específicos.

Abstract Objectives To describe the metacognitive events contained in nursing students’ reports after participating in an educational game and identify the metacognitive operations present in nursing students’ reports after their participation. Method This was a qualitative study to understand the events and metacognitive processes of twenty-six students who were engaged in solving a case of electrolyte disturbances and guided by the nursing process. Data were collected by semi-structured interviews, and content analysis was performed with theoretical categories of metacognition for deductive and classificatory procedures. Results Fifteen process and control characteristics were identified during the game, with metacognitive operations from metacognitive events present in the participants’ speeches. The phases of anticipation, performance control, and reflective self-regulation were used to classify the fifteen emergent characteristics of the task. Conclusion Participation in an educational game oriented towards learning the nursing process can evidence descriptions of metacognitive events, clarifying mental processes. Implications for practice Knowing the characteristics of a more common metacognitive path can facilitate the teacher's role as a mediator and facilitator of learning in specific aspects.

Resumen Objetivos Describir los eventos metacognitivos contenidos en los reportes de estudiantes de enfermería luego de participar en un juego educativo e identificar las operaciones metacognitivas presentes en los reportes de estudiantes de enfermería luego de participar en el juego educativo. Método Estudio cualitativo para comprender los eventos y procesos metacognitivos de veintiséis estudiantes involucrados en la solución de un caso de trastornos electrolíticos guiados por el proceso de enfermería. Datos recopilados mediante entrevista semiestructurada. Análisis de contenido con categorías teóricas de metacognición para procedimientos deductivos y clasificatorios. Resultados Se identificaron quince características del proceso y control durante el juego con operaciones metacognitivas a partir de eventos metacognitivos presentes en los discursos de los participantes del juego. Las fases de anticipación, control del desempeño y autorregulación reflexiva se utilizaron para clasificar las quince características emergentes de la tarea. Conclusión La participación en un juego educativo orientado al aprendizaje del proceso de enfermería puede revelar descripciones de eventos metacognitivos, aclarando procesos mentales. Implicaciones para la práctica Conocer las características de un camino metacognitivo más común puede facilitar el papel del docente como mediador y facilitador del aprendizaje en aspectos específicos.

RESUMO: O reaproveitamento de camas aviárias na criação de frangos de corte é uma prática muito utilizada no Brasil. Essa prática reduz custos de produção e contribui na conservação do meio ambiente. As técnicas atuais utilizadas na desinfecção de camas aviárias reaproveitadas, como adição de cal, enleiramento e lona na superfície, não garantem a eliminação de microrganismos patogênicos porque não geram quantidade suficiente de amônia. O gás amônia, em concentrações elevadas, tem efeito biocida. Bactérias Gram negativas, como as Salmonelas e Escherichia coli, podem ser transmitidas de um lote para outro através do reaproveitamento da cama, ocasionando prejuízos para a saúde das aves e dos humanos que consomem alimentos contaminados por estes agentes. Este trabalho avaliou a eficácia do método lona na superfície com injeção de gás amônia no controle de microrganismos Gram negativos. Os resultados obtidos demostraram que esse método controlou os microrganismos Gram negativos num período de 48 horas em camas de frangos de corte reaproveitadas. Assim, essa nova metodologia de desinfecção de camas de aviário permitirá sua reutilização de forma prática e segura, melhorando a saúde das aves e dos consumidores dos produtos avícolas.

ABSTRACT: The current techniques used in the disinfection of reused poultry litter, such as lime addition, windrowing and plastic cover on the surface, do not guarantee the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms, causing damage to the environment and animal health. Gram negative bacteria, i.e., Salmonella and Escherichia coli, can be transmitted from one batch to another through reused litter, causing health damage to broilers and humans that consume food contaminated by these agents. Our study assessed the effectiveness of the methods plastic cover on the surface (PCS) and plastic cover on the surface with ammonia gas injection (PCSAI) in the control of Gram negative bacteria. The results obtained, both in laboratory conditions (Experiment 1) and in the field (Experiment 2), demonstrate that the method PCSAI with 0.22% ammonia gas had a significant reduction (P<0.05) of Gram negative bacteria in the period of 48 hours This new methodology for disinfecting poultry litter will allow its reuse in a practical and safe way, improving the preservation of the environment, of the health of broilers and consumers of poultry products.

Resumo Esta pesquisa analisou itinerários terapêuticos de usuários do Sistema Único de Saúde que tentaram suicídio. Foi realizada uma análise de conteúdo das entrevistas feitas com dez usuários que tentaram suicídio e seis referências técnicas da rede de saúde. Os resultados apontaram a presença de solidão e desamparo nos usuários; indicaram acolhimento adequado realizado pelos profissionais de saúde; ressaltaram a não identificação dos usuários com os serviços de saúde mental para os quais foram encaminhados; assinalaram o não seguimento dos casos na atenção primária e mostraram que os caminhos terapêuticos ultrapassaram as práticas biomédicas. Este estudo aponta a necessidade de políticas públicas específicas para esse público, que articulem a rede intersetorial de serviços e itinerários não técnicos de apoio à vida.

Abstract In this research, were analysed the therapeutic itineraries of patients from the Unified Health System who attempted suicide. An analysis of interviews produced with ten patients who attempted suicide and with six health network references were performed. The results indicated the presence of loneliness and helplessness in patients; indicated adequate reception by health professionals; emphasized about a non-identification of patients with mental health units to which they are sent; indicate the non-follow-up of cases in primary care; and showed that therapeutic pathways surpassed biomedical practices. This study demonstrates the need for specific public policies which articulate the multisectoral network of services and non-technical life support itineraries for those people.

Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar, por meio de um questionário, a percepção dos consumidores que se alimentam fora de casa acerca dos perigos de doenças veiculadas por alimentos (DVAs). Obtiveram-se 1.515 respostas, com a maioria dos consumidores assim caracterizados: Ensino Médio (27,3%) ou superior (29,5%), idade entre 18 e 29 anos (52,3%) e solteiros (57,8%). Em uma verificação mais específica, identificou-se que os consumidores utilizam restaurantes (64,5%) e elegem o estabelecimento principalmente em função da limpeza e atendimento (95,1%). A maioria consome carne (96,7%), com destaque para a bovina (30,1%), embora os consumidores considerem o pescado mais saudável (58,5%). No entendimento sobre as DVAs, 91,1% dos consumidores acreditam que as carnes podem veicular doenças, com destaque para a carne suína, com 89% das associações. Entretanto, também consideram as verduras e/ou os legumes (89%), a água (85,7%) e alimentos orgânicos (71,4%) como possíveis transmissores de doenças. A salmonelose (90,5%) é considerada a DVA mais importante e 99,1% dos respondentes entendem que o alimento pode ser contaminado pelo manipulador. Os entrevistados acreditam também que verduras e frutas possam conter agrotóxicos (98,7%), enquanto alimentos de origem animal possam ter resíduos de antibióticos (86,1%). Concluímos que existe a necessidade da criação de um plano estratégico educacional para o melhor entendimento dos consumidores sobre alimentação fora do ambiente domiciliar.

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate, through a questionnaire, the perception of consumers who eat outside the home in relation to the dangers of diseases transmitted by food. This work also aimed to obtain data that can be used in the elaboration of an educational plan, aiming at aspects of disease prevention and improvements in the population's health. The questionnaire obtained a total of 1515 responses, in which most consumers were characterized by medium education (27.3%) or higher education (29.5%), aged between 18-29 years (52.3%) and singles (57.8%). In a more specific investigation, people routinely eat in restaurants (64.5%) and choose the establishment mainly due to cleanliness and service (95.1%). Most respondents consumed meat (96.7%), especially beef (30.1%), although consumers considered fish healthier (58.5%). Regarding the understanding of diseases transmitted by food, 91.1% of them have believed that meat can transmit diseases, thus being pork the most associated with this problem (89%). They also considered vegetables and / or legumes (89%), water (85.7%) and organic foods (71.4%) as possible transmitters of diseases. Salmonellosis (90.5%) is considered the most important diseases transmitted by food and 99.1% understood that food can be contaminated by the food handlers. They have also believed that vegetables and fruits may contain pesticides (98.7%) and antibiotics residue in foods of animal origin (86.1%). It could be inferred that there is a need to create a strategic educational plan to better understand consumers about food outside the home environment.

Resumo Este artigo caracteriza a produção científica divulgada em periódicos nacionais sobre as interações que se estabelecem entre os conceitos de mudanças climáticas, mudanças produtivas (incluídas as mudanças no uso do solo) e saúde humana, nos últimos dez anos (de 2008 a 2017), com destaque para as tendências teórico-metodológicas dessa produção. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão da literatura a partir de publicações disponibilizadas nas bases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Portal de Periódicos CAPES. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram os avanços experimentados nos últimos dez anos pelas equipes interdisciplinares que se debruçaram sobre o tema ao longo do período analisado, bem como permitem identificar lacunas de pesquisa que podem ser exploradas em investigações futuras. Adicionalmente, foi identificada uma positiva sofisticação e refinamento das ferramentas e instrumentos analíticos que se mostram capazes de reunir informações consistentes sobre uma realidade ampla e complexa, caracterizada pela diversidade dos biomas, cenários climáticos e sistemas produtivos.

Abstract This article reviews the scientific output published in national journals on the interactions that are established between the concepts of climate change, productive changes (including changes in land use) and human health in the last ten years (from 2008 to 2017), highlighting the theoretical-methodological trends of this output. To achieve this, a review of the literature was made from publications made available in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and the CAPES Journals Portal. The results obtained demonstrate the advances made in the last ten years by the interdisciplinary teams that dealt with the subject over the period analyzed. At the same time, this article identifies the research gaps that can be exploited in future research. In addition, a positive sophistication and refinement of analytical tools and instruments have been identified that are able to gather consistent information about a broad and complex reality characterized by the diversity of biomes, climatic scenarios and productive systems.

Resumo Este artigo caracteriza a produção científica divulgada em periódicos nacionais sobre as interações que se estabelecem entre os conceitos de mudanças climáticas, mudanças produtivas (incluídas as mudanças no uso do solo) e saúde humana, nos últimos dez anos (de 2008 a 2017), com destaque para as tendências teórico-metodológicas dessa produção. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão da literatura a partir de publicações disponibilizadas nas bases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Portal de Periódicos CAPES. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram os avanços experimentados nos últimos dez anos pelas equipes interdisciplinares que se debruçaram sobre o tema ao longo do período analisado, bem como permitem identificar lacunas de pesquisa que podem ser exploradas em investigações futuras. Adicionalmente, foi identificada uma positiva sofisticação e refinamento das ferramentas e instrumentos analíticos que se mostram capazes de reunir informações consistentes sobre uma realidade ampla e complexa, caracterizada pela diversidade dos biomas, cenários climáticos e sistemas produtivos.

Abstract This article reviews the scientific output published in national journals on the interactions that are established between the concepts of climate change, productive changes (including changes in land use) and human health in the last ten years (from 2008 to 2017), highlighting the theoretical-methodological trends of this output. To achieve this, a review of the literature was made from publications made available in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and the CAPES Journals Portal. The results obtained demonstrate the advances made in the last ten years by the interdisciplinary teams that dealt with the subject over the period analyzed. At the same time, this article identifies the research gaps that can be exploited in future research. In addition, a positive sophistication and refinement of analytical tools and instruments have been identified that are able to gather consistent information about a broad and complex reality characterized by the diversity of biomes, climatic scenarios and productive systems.

SUMMARY INTRODUCTION: Sickle cell anemia affects more than 30 million people worldwide. Chronic kidney disease develops in 40% of individuals. The death rate of patients with sickle nephropathy is still high, with little known predictors related to its development. To answer the question “What predictors are associated with the onset of chronic kidney disease in patients with sickle cell anemia?”, this article seeks to contribute to a better understanding of sickle nephropathy, making possible a new look at the sickle cell anemia and its kidney complications. METHODS: A systematic review was developed, using the PRISMA recommendation, for cohort studies on predictors related to the outcome of sickle nephropathy in patients with sickle cell anemia. RESULTS: Initially 321 studies were identified in Pubmed, of which six were selected to compose this systematic review. Lower hemoglobin levels, increased ages and albuminuria were the most pointed predictors associated with chronic kidney disease. CONCLUSION: The main predictors associated with the development of chronic kidney disease in individuals with sickle cell anemia were lower hemoglobin levels, increased ages, and albuminuria. New studies evaluating predictors for the development of chronic kidney disease in sickle cell anemia are needed to better understand its installation and prevent its progression.

Abstract Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS), also known as herpes zoster oticus, is caused by the reactivation of varicella zoster virus (VZV) in the geniculate ganglion of the facial nerve. Herein, we report a case of Ramsey Hunt Syndrome in a patient after antimonial treatment for Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. The patient presented with microvesicles grouped on an erythematous base, starting in the neck and ascending towards the scalp margin on the right side of the head. The patient also developed grade V peripheral facial palsy the day after initiating the herpes zoster treatment, this outcome corroborated the assumption of Ramsey Hunt Syndrome.
