RESUMO Embora as áreas de ecótonos ocupem uma extensão significativa no estado do Piauí, há pouca informação sobre essas áreas, especialmente quanto à ocorrência de microrganismos. Assim, nesse estudo avaliou-se o efeito da sazonalidade na ocorrência de gêneros de fungos associados a espécies florestais em área de transição Cerrado-Caatinga no estado do Piauí, Brasil. A área experimental consistiu em um fragmento de um hectare dentro de uma reserva legal, onde foram estabelecidas cinco parcelas de 20m x 20m e feito o levantamento fitossociológico. A coleta do material (folhas sadias e com sintomas de doenças) foi realizada em dois períodos: seco (junho e agosto/2017) e chuvoso (dezembro/2017 e fevereiro/2018), totalizando quatro coletas. No laboratório, foram feitos o isolamento e a purificação dos fungos. A identificação desses foi realizada com base nas características morfológicas, consultando à chaves de identificação. Calculou-se a abundância relativa dos fungos e os dados foram submetidos à análise multivariada de agrupamento. No total, foram encontrados 225 isolados relacionados a 15 gêneros fúngicos, associados a 10 espécies florestais. A ocorrência de fungos na área foi influenciada pela variação sazonal, com maior número de isolados encontrados no período seco, a exemplo de grupos importantes, seja de microrganismos benéficos ou fitopatogênicos como Trichoderma spp. e Lasiodiplodia spp. Foi observada também maior tendência de ocorrência dos fungos nas espécies florestais Bauhinia cheilantha e Pityrocarpa moniliformis, pertencentes à família Fabaceae.

ABSTRACT Although ecotone areas occupy a significant extent in Piauí State, there is little information about these areas, especially regarding the presence of microorganisms. Thus, this study evaluated the effect of seasonality on the occurrence of fungal genera associated with forest species in an ecotone Cerrado-Caatinga in Piauí State, Brazil. The experimental area consisted of one-hectare fragment within a legal reserve, where five plots of 20m x 20m were established and the phytosociological survey was carried out. The collection of the material (healthy leaves and leaves with disease symptoms) was performed in two periods: the dry season (June and August/2017) and the rainy season (December/2017 and February/2018), totaling four collections. In the laboratory, isolation and purification of fungi were performed. The fungal identification was based on morphological characteristics and the use of identification keys. The relative abundance of fungi was calculated, and the data were submitted to multivariate cluster analysis. In total, 225 isolates were found, related to 15 fungal genera, associated with 10 forest species. The occurrence of fungi in the area was influenced by seasonal variation, with more isolates found in the dry period, as examples of important groups, whether beneficial or phytopathogenic microorganisms are: Trichoderma spp. and Lasiodiplodia spp. It was also observed that fungi are more likely to occur in forest species like Bauhinia cheilantha and Pityrocarpa moniliformis, belonging to the Fabaceae family.

The postharvest life of mango is limited by the development of pathogens, especially fungi that cause rot, among which stands out the Lasiodiplodia theobromae. Several control methods have been employed to minimize the damages caused by this fungus, chemical control can leave residues to man and nature; physical control by the use of gamma radiation in combination with modified atmosphere and cold storage. The use of gamma radiation helps to reduce the severity of the pathogen assist in the ripening process of fruits, even at low doses (0.25, 0.35 and 0.45 kGy) chemical properties such as pH, soluble solids, acid ascorbic, titratable acidity and also the quality parameters of the pulp showed no damage that are ideal for trade and consumption of mangoes. This treatment can be extended for use in the management of diseases such as natural infections for penducular rot complex that has as one of L. theobroma pathogens involved.

O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi verificar o efeito de produtos alternativos em mangas inoculadas com Lasiodiplodia theobromae e a influência desses sobre o crescimento micelial do fitopatógeno. Mangas foram tratadas com fosfato de potássio (FP) (50, 100 e 150), ácido hidroxidobenzóico (AH) (5, 10 e 15), cloreto de cálcio (CC) (0,13, 0,26 e 0,39) (em milimolar), Luz ultravioleta (LUV) (10; 20 e 30 min.), extratos de alho (EA), melão-de-são-caetano (EM), casca de manga (ECM) (25, 50 e 75%) e água (testemunha). Inoculou-se 10m de suspensão de 10(6) conídios/mL de L. theobromae imediatamente (T1), 12 horas (T2) e 24 horas, após os tratamentos (T3). No T1, os melhores tratamentos foram FP (50 mmol) e CC (0,13 mmol). No T2 foram CC (0,13 mmol), AH (5 mmol), EA (25%) e FP (100 mmol). No T3 não houve diferença entre os tratamentos. In vitro, os produtos foram misturados ao meio de cultura. Após solidificação, depositaram-se no centro de cada placa, estruturas do fitopatógeno. Quarenta e oito horas após, mediu-se o diâmetro da colônia. Os melhores tratamentos foram FP (100 e 150 mmol), ECM (50 e 75%) e EA (50%).

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of alternative products in mango sleeves inoculated challenged with Lasiodiplodia theobromae and its influence on the mycelial growth of the pathogen in vitro. Mangoes were treated with: potassium phosphate (50, 100 and 150), hidroxidobenzóico acid (5, 10 and 15), calcium chloride (0.13, 0.26 and 0.39) (in mmol), ultraviolet light ( 10, 20 and 30 min.), extracts of garlic, melons of the Caetano, bark of mango (25, 50 and 75%) and water (control). The design was a split plot. 10(6) con./mL was inoculated immediately after each treatment (T1), twelve hours after (T2) and twenty-four hours after (T3). In T1, the best treatments were PO (50 mmol) and CC (0.13 mmol). T2 in there were CC (0.13 mmol), AH (5 mmol), EA (25%) and FP (100 mmol). In T3 there was no difference between treatments. In vitro treatments were mixed into the culture medium. After solidification it was placed in the center of each plate, structures of the phythopathogen. The model was in DIC with 6 replications. After 48 hours it was measured the diameter of the colony. The best treatments were FP (100 and 150 mmol), ECM (50 and 75%) and EA (50%).

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da radiação gama em doses baixas no controle pós-colheita da podridão por Fusicoccum em manga 'Tommy Atkins', bem como avaliar o efeito desse método sobre as características físico-químicas da fruta. Frutos aparentemente livres de doenças no estádio de maturação 1,5 foram inoculados com 10 μL de suspensão de Fusicoccum parvum a 10(6) conídios mL-1. Após a inoculação, os frutos foram irradiados com as doses de 0,24, 0,35 e 0,45 kGy e armazenados a 13ºC, durante 15 dias, seguidos de mais seis dias em temperatura ambiente, a 25ºC. A dose mais alta de radiação gama foi eficiente em retardar o desenvolvimento da doença em razão do atraso causado na maturação das frutas. Não houve efeito significativo da radiação sobre as características físico-químicas das frutas. Os frutos mantiveram características ideais para comercialização, mesmo após o armazenamento refrigerado, com a presença de filme plástico, por 15 dias.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of gamma irradiation in low doses on the postharvest control of 'Tommy Atkins' mango rot caused by Fusicoccum, and to evaluate the effect of this method on the physicochemical characteristics of the fruit. Fruits in ripening stage 1,5 and apparently free of disease were inoculated with 10 μL of a Fusicoccum parvum suspension at 10(6) conidia mL-1. They were gamma irradiated with the doses 0.24, 0.35 and 0.45 kGy, and stored under 13°C for 15 days, followed by a further six days at room temperature, 25°C. The higher dose of gamma radiation was effective in delaying the disease development due to fruit delayed maturation. No significant effect of radiation was observed on fruit physicochemical characteristics. Fruit maintained ideal commercialization features even after cold storage, in the presence of plastic film, for 15 days.

A banana é a segunda fruta mais consumida no mundo, porém do campo até o mercado consumidor algo em torno de 40 % é perdido devido entre outras causas as doenças pós-colheita e a mais significativa é a antracnose. Diante da necessidade do conhecimento de fatores ambientais que condicionam estas perdas, o trabalho objetivou avaliar métodos de inoculação (com discos de BDA e estruturas do patógeno e suspensão de conídios com e sem ferimento) e a influência da temperatura (10,15,20,25 e 30 ºC) e do período de molhamento (0, 12, 24 e 36 h) sobre o desenvolvimento de Colletotrichum musae em banana. As frutas foram inoculadas com 17 isolados de C. musae onde todos mostraram-se patogênicos quando inoculados com ferimento independentemente do tipo de inóculo utilizado. No experimento envolvendo temperatura e período de molhamento, utilizou-se três isolados de C. musae, MAG2, SFV1 e FSA, que se comportaram como mais agressivo, intermediário e pouco agressivo, respectivamente. As temperaturas em torno de 20, 25 e 30 ºC e os períodos de molhamento testados favoreceram um maior desenvolvimento de lesões, sendo as maiores lesões observadas em temperaturas ao redor de 25 e 30 ºC, com redução à medida que ocorria uma diminuição da temperatura para todos os isolados testados. A temperatura em torno de 15 ºC proporcionou o menor desenvolvimento da doença.,

The banana is the second more consumed fruit in the world, but there is a product loss of about 40% from field to consuming market due to several factors including the postharvest diseases, being the anthracnose most significative among them. Considering the necessity of studying the environmental factors that affect this losses, the objective of this work was to evaluate methods of inoculation (PDA discs with pathogen structures and suspension of conidia with and without wound) and the influence of temperature (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30ºC) and wet period (0, 12, 24 and 36 hours) on the development of Colletotrichum musae on banana. The fruits were inoculated with 17 isolated of C. musae and all of them showed pathogenicty when inoculated with wound independently of the type of inoculum used. In the trial envolving temperature and wet period three isolates of C. musae: MAG2, SFV1 and FSA were used, which showed high, intermediate and low aggressiveness, respectively. The temperatures around 20, 25 and 30ºC and all wet periods tested favored the lesion development, being observed the biggest lesions under temperatures of about 25 and 30ºC, as well as lesion reduction induced by all isolates with decreasing of temperature. The temperature around 15ºC favored the lowest disease development on banana fruit.
