Este estudo objetivou avaliar a qualidade dos ambientes de um programa público de educação infantil - PEI, utilizando os instrumentos Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale - Revised Edition (ITERS-R) e Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale - Revised Edition (ECERS-R). Foram avaliadas 16 turmas com faixa etária entre 4 e 68 meses. A média obtida pelas turmas com a ITERS-R foi de 2,80. As turmas avaliadas por meio da ECERS-R obtiveram média de 2,69. Segundo as escalas utilizadas, esses resultados indicam um padrão de qualidade entre inadequada e minimamente adequada. Quanto aos itens das escalas, verificou-se uma maior variação nos escores das turmas com idade de até 3 anos. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram a necessidade de intervenções no programa, sobretudo nos itens relacionados à rotina e cuidados pessoais com as crianças de até 3 anos e aqueles relativos às atividades, com as crianças a partir de 3 anos até 68 meses.

This study aimed to evaluate the quality of infant public educational environments, by the indicated means for this kind of evaluation: Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale - Revised edition (ITERS-R) and Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale - Revised Edition (ECERS-R). Sixteen school groups were evaluated, with ages from six to sixty-eight months. The average gotten by the groups that were evaluated through ITERS-R was of 2.80. The groups that were evaluated through ECERS-R, got an average of 2.69. According to the scales adopted, these results indicate a quality pattern between insufficient and minimally adequated. As the scales items, it was verified a major variation in the scores from classes of until 3 years old. The obtained result showed the necessity of interventions in the program, especially in the items related to the routine and daily care of children with until 3 years old and those related to the activities, with children from 3 years old to sixty-eight months.

Entre as práticas do psicólogo há a realização de avaliação psicológica. Inadequações em avaliações psicológicas podem refletir problemas na formação do psicólogo. Este artigo apresenta uma pesquisa que investigou, por meio de um questionário, opiniões sobre avaliação psicológica, enfatizando o uso de testes psicológicos, de 358 alunos que concluíam a graduação em psicologia de quatro faculdades de Belo Horizonte, MG. Os resultados evidenciam que os alunos receberam formação na área de avaliação psicológica, porém muitos a consideraram insuficiente. Eles conhecem testes psicológicos e reconheceram que estes apresentam problemas nos parâmetros psicométricos, sendo necessária a sua melhoria. A Resolução n.º 2/2003 do Conselho Federal de Psicologia, que define critérios relacionados à produção e comercialização de instrumentos psicológicos no Brasil, é desconhecida por muitos alunos. Conclui-se pela necessidade de aperfeiçoamento da formação acadêmica do psicólogo visando à aquisição de habilidades suficientes para capacitá-lo ao exercício profissional de melhor qualidade na área em questão.

Among the practical of the psychologist there is the accomplishment of psychological assessment. Mistakes in psychological assessments can reflect problems in psychologist's formation. This paper presents a research that investigated, through a questionnaire, opinions about psychological assessment, emphasizing the use of psychological tests, of 358 students who were ending the graduation in psychology from four colleges of Belo Horizonte, MG. The results evidence that the students have received formation in psychological assessment area, however many of them have considered it insufficient. They know psychological tests and have recognized that tests present problems in the psychometrics parameters, being necessary its improvement. The Resolution n.º 2/2003 by Federal Council of Psychology, that defines discretions relative the production and trade of psychological tests in Brazil, is unknown by many students. We conclude that is necessary the improvement of the psychologist academic formation, aiming acquisition of abilities enough to enable him to professional exercise of better quality in the area in question.
