A distribuição percentual dos animais examinados por estado incluiu: SP (52,8%), MG (14,3%), RS (7,8%), PR (5,34%), RJ (3,66%), GO (3,34%), MS (2,81%), BA (2.10%), SC, (1,65%), MA (1.18%), ES (0,86%), PA (0.97%), MT (0,75%), PI (0.71%), CE (0.38%), DF (0,31%), TO (0.31%), AL (0.32%), PB (0.25%), RN (0.11%) e RO (0.07%). ABSTRACT It were presented most frequent serovars of leptospires detected through Microscopic Agglutination Technique (MAT), between 1984 to 1997 in 31,325 bovines, from 1920 farms of 540 municipalities and 21 brazilian states. The MAT was conducted with a collection of 24 serovars: australis, bratislava, autumnalis, butembo, castellonis, bataviae, canicola, whitcombi, cinoptery, grippotyphosa, hebdomadis, copenhageni, icterohaemorrhagiae, javanica, panama, pomona, pyrogenes, hardjo, wolffi, shermani, tarassovi, sentot, andamana and patoc. The MAT cut off was the serum dilution at 1:100 and the tittles were obtained with a geometric serie of doble dilutions. The distribution of animals examined by estado were: SP (52,8%), MG (14,3%), RS (7,8%), PR (5,34%), RJ (3,66%), GO (3,34%), MS (2,81%), BA (2.10%), SC, (1,65%), MA (1.18%), ES (0,86%), PA (0.97%), MT (0,75%), PI (0.71%), CE (0.38%), DF (0,31%), TO (0.31%), AL (0.32%), PB (0.25%), RN (0.11%) e RO (0.07%). Thirty six and seven percent of serum samples were examined between 1984 to 1994 and 63,3% after Januray of 1995. The results showed that 84,1% of the farms; 94.18% of the municipalities and all of the states examined, it was found at least one positive animal. The proportion of reactors to at least one leptospira serovar presented the average of 37.94%. with flutuations between 25.2 to 38.3% in the States of SC, CE, PR, DF, SP and PA; from 40.7 to 58.4% PB, TO, RJ, MG, GO, RO, RN, PI, MA, AL. And higher than 61,0% in BA, ES, MS e MT. In each herd the most frequent serovar were that one wich presented the hightest title, when in the same serum sample it was found the same tittle for two or more serovars, this sample was removed from this analysis. The serovar hardjo was the most frequent in RN and DF; hardjo and wolffi in MA; AL; BA, ES, MS, SP, RJ and GO; hardjo and grippotyphosa in TO; hardjo, castellonis and patoc in SC; hardjo, wolffi and grippotyphosa in CE; hardjo, wolffi and pomona in PR and MG; hardjo, wolffi and pyrogenes, RS and RO; hardjo, icterohaemorrhagiae and pyrogenes, PB; hardjo, wolffi and hebdomadis in PI MAT, , (MAT) 198 199 31325 31 325 31,32 bovines 192 54 2 australis bratislava autumnalis butembo bataviae canicola whitcombi cinoptery copenhageni javanica panama pyrogenes shermani tarassovi sentot 1100 1 100 1:10 dilutions 52,8%, 528 52,8% 52 8 (52,8%) 14,3%, 143 14,3% 14 3 (14,3%) 7,8%, 78 7,8% 7 (7,8%) 5,34%, 534 5,34% 5 34 (5,34%) 3,66%, 366 3,66% 66 (3,66%) 3,34%, 334 3,34% (3,34%) 2,81%, 281 2,81% 81 (2,81%) 2.10%, 210 2.10% 10 (2.10%) SC 1,65%, 165 1,65% 65 (1,65%) 1.18%, 118 1.18% 18 (1.18%) 0,86%, 086 0,86% 0 86 (0,86%) 0.97%, 097 0.97% 97 (0.97%) 0,75%, 075 0,75% 75 (0,75%) 0.71%, 071 0.71% 71 (0.71%) 0.38%, 038 0.38% 38 (0.38%) 0,31%, 031 0,31% (0,31%) 0.31%, 0.31% (0.31%) 0.32%, 032 0.32% 32 (0.32%) 0.25%, 025 0.25% 25 (0.25%) 0.11% 011 11 (0.11% 0.07%. 007 0.07% . 07 (0.07%) 633 63 63,3 1995 841 84 84,1 9418 94 94.18 animal 3794 37 37.94% 252 25. 383 38.3 407 40 40. 584 58 4 58.4 610 61 61,0 title analysis (MAT 19 3132 31,3 110 1:1 52,8 (52,8% 14,3 (14,3% 7,8 (7,8% 53 5,34 (5,34% 36 3,66 6 (3,66% 33 3,34 (3,34% 28 2,81 (2,81% 2.10 (2.10% 16 1,65 (1,65% 1.18 (1.18% 08 0,86 (0,86% 09 0.97 9 (0.97% 0,75 (0,75% 0.71 (0.71% 03 0.38 (0.38% 0,31 (0,31% 0.31 (0.31% 0.32 (0.32% 02 0.25 (0.25% 0.11 01 (0.11 00 0.07 (0.07% 63, 84, 941 94.1 379 37.94 38. 58. 61, 313 31, 1: 52, (52,8 14, (14,3 7, (7,8 5,3 (5,34 3,6 (3,66 3,3 (3,34 2,8 (2,81 2.1 (2.10 1,6 (1,65 1.1 (1.18 0,8 (0,86 0.9 (0.97 0,7 (0,75 0.7 (0.71 0.3 (0.38 0,3 (0,31 (0.31 (0.32 0.2 (0.25 0.1 (0.1 0.0 (0.07 94. 37.9 (52, (14, (7, 5, (5,3 3, (3,6 (3,3 2, (2,8 2.
