Este trabajo presenta la aplicación de un test diseñado para evaluar la percepción y la producción del habla en español venezolano. El test está constituido por 70 pares de palabras que difieren por uno de sus rasgos distintivos en posición inicial, a excepción del par rr/r. 15 sujetos diagnosticados con trastornos del habla participaron voluntariamente en la aplicación del test. A partir del análisis de los pocos datos obtenidos de la aplicación nos hemos permitido sugerir la existencia de una correlación entre el proceso de percepción y el de producción en los trastornos del habla, sugerimos que este hecho evidencia que son procesos múltiples en los que los distintos niveles de representación del sistema interactúan simultáneamente en varias direcciones. La evaluación conjunta de los procesos de percepción y de producción del habla en español venezolano permite obtener datos más precisos sobre las alteraciones de estos procesos del lenguaje, lo que asegura la identificación y el tratamiento de los trastornos del habla.

This paper presents the application of a test designed to access speech intelligibility and speech production in Venezuelan Spanish.  The test consists of 70 pairs of words differing by only one distinctive feature in initial position, exception made of rr/r. An initial evaluation showed that each token was perfectly adequate. 15 subjects with speech disorders participated voluntarily in the application of the test. From the analysis of data from the application has allowed us to suggest the existence of a correlation between the processes of perception and production in the speech disorders, we suggest that are evidence that multiple processes in which different levels of representation language system interact simultaneously in several directions.  Joint evaluation of the processes of perception and speech production in Venezuelan Spanish, allows obtaining more accurate data on the alterations of these processes of language, which ensures the identification and treatment of the speech disorders.

PURPOSE: to analyze the [+liquid] phonemes in two types of syllabic structure in production of speech of 35 Venezuelan subjects whit Broca's aphasia, with the purpose of determining if these structures are conserved or lost. METHODS: a sample of speech was used. It was obtained from conversations recorded with the subjects, 12 men and 23 women. From that sample, the syllabic productions with CCV and CV structure were selected in order to determine the frequencies and the possible errors or substitutions. RESULTS: from the total of analyzed syllabic structures, all of them showed a similar structure to the Spanish syllable. The CCV and CV structures were maintained. None of the observed errors contained sequences of badly formed sounds. CONCLUSIONS: it was possible to determine that in the production of speech of the aphasic subjects there is a great link with the syllabic structure, regardless of the reduction, assimilation, substitution, and elision processes. In addition, it is suggested that the syllable is a functional unit codified in the level of phonetic programming.

OBJETIVOS: analizar los sonidos [+ líquidos] en dos tipos de estructura silábica en la producción de habla de 35 hablantes de español con afasia de Broca con el fin de determinar si dichas estructuras se conservan o se pierden. MÉTODOS: se utilizó una muestra de habla obtenida a partir de conversaciones grabadas con 35 pacientes, 12 hombres y 23 mujeres, con afasia de Broca. A partir de esa muestra se seleccionaron las producciones silábicas de estructura CCV y de estructura CV para determinar las frecuencias respectivas y los posibles errores o sustituciones de fonemas. RESULTADOS: del total de estructuras silábicas analizadas ninguna mostró una estructura diferente a la de la sílaba española. Tanto la estructura CCV como la CV se han mantenido en la muestra de habla afásica analizada. Ninguno de los errores observados contiene secuencias de sonidos mal formadas. CONCLUSIONES: independientemente de los procesos de reducción, asimilación, sustitución, elisión de segmentos, se ha podido determinar que en la producción de habla de los sujetos afásicos hay un gran apego a la estructura silábica. Se sugiere, además, que la sílaba es una unidad funcional que se codifica en el nivel de programación fonética.

Las hendiduras labiopalatinas alteran el habla y la voz. Esa alteración viene dada por la insuficiencia velofaríngea. Este trabajo pretende identificar los rasgos audio-perceptivos y acústicos que caracterizan la cualidad de la voz de cinco sujetos venezolanos con hendidura labiopalatina corregida. Los análisis se han desarrollado a partir de una grabación de audio. El material grabado consiste en la producción sostenida de /a/ y la lectura de un Test de Pares Mínimos. Específicamente, el análisis acústico consistió en evaluar la frecuencia fundamental, F1, F2 y F3, la presencia de ruido nasal y la intensidad. En el análisis audio-perceptivo se utilizó el VPAS para determinar las cualidades vocales de los sujetos. Los datos han posibilitado el establecimiento de correlaciones entre aspectos audio-perceptivos, acústicos, físicos y fisiológicos de la producción de habla, que facilitan la comprensión del papel y funciones de diversos segmentos del aparato fonador.

The cleft lip and palate affect the production of speech and voice. This alteration is caused by velopharyngeal insufficiency. The purpose of this research is to identify acoustic and audio-perceptive parameters that characterize the voice quality of five Venezuelan subjects with operated cleft lip and palate. The data analyzed corresponds to recorded material which consisted of the maintained production of the sound corresponding to the phoneme /a/ and to the reading of a minimum pair test. The acoustic analysis detected the fundamental frequency, F1, F2, F3, the presence of nasal noise and the intensity of the sounds produced. The VPAS was used in the audio-perceptive analysis with the purpose of determining the vocal qualities of the subjects. We have concluded that the audio-perceptive, acoustic, physical and physiological features associated to the production of speech are correlated.

La identidad lingüística se (co)construye en la interacción comunicativa y depende de factores conductuales, afectivos y cognitivos que se materializan a través de las actitudes lingüísticas. Se sugiere que estos factores constituyen las actitudes a través de las cuales los individuos muestran su identidad y su valoración con respecto a la propia manera de hablar y a la de los demás. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la identidad lingüística en los individuos con trastornos del habla. Se midieron los factores actitudinales de 50 niños y jóvenes con esta condición mediante la aplicación del test IDENTLING, especialmente diseñado para ese fin. Los resultados demostraron que los individuos con trastornos del habla presentan un conjunto de conocimientos, convicciones, creencias y prejuicios (pre)formados sobre sus propias experiencias cotidianas que afectan la actuación lingüística. La identidad de los individuos con trastornos del habla está construida con base en los sistemas de valores y de creencias de sus grupos de pertenencia.

Linguistic identity is co-constructed in communicative interactions and it consists of behavioural, affective and cognitive factors which take form through linguistic attitudes. It is suggested that these attitudes enable individuals to show their personal identity and to form value judgments concerning their own way of speaking and the speech of others. The purpose of this research is to analyze the linguistic identity of 50 children with speech disorders.Attitudinal factors were measured with the IDENTLING Test, especially designed to tap these factors. The results showed that the individuals with speech disorders display a set of knowledge, convictions, beliefs and prejudices that are (pre)formed in their own daily experiences. We suggest that the identity of individuals with speech disorders is constructed into a system of values and beliefs rooted in the social group to which the individuals belong.
