Resumo A Lagoa do São Bento é uma área úmida costeira de restinga, resquício de uma paleolagoa, localizada em Maricá, RJ. O estudo objetivou inventariar as plantas aquáticas nativas, fazer a comparação florística com outras lagoas costeiras e analisar a regeneração dessa comunidade após impactos antrópicos. Na análise florística de plantas aquáticas foram listadas 45 espécies, das quais 39 são Angiospermas e seis são Samambaias. Aeschynomene paniculata, Hymenachne amplexicaulis, Montrichardia linifera e Torenia thouarsii são novos registros para o município e Tabebuia cassinoides é ameaçada de extinção. Sobressaem as plantas emergentes (21 spp.), seguida de anfíbias (16 spp.), flutuante livres (4 spp.), flutuante fixas (3 spp.) e tolerantes (1 sp.). A comparação mostrou maior similaridade com a lagoa de Jacarepiá, em Saquarema, compartilhando 21 espécies. O inventário fitossociológico listou 87 espécies, sendo 83 Angiospermas e quatro Samambaias. As espécies com maior IVI foram: Fuirena umbellata, Pleroma gaudichaudianum, Xyris jupicai, Typha domingensis, Salvinia aff. auriculata, Eleocharis interstincta, Rhynchospora gigantea, Nymphoides humboldtiana, Nymphaea caerulea e Clitoria laurifolia. Os índices de Shannon, Simpson e equabilidade foram 3,83, 0,03 e 0,85, respectivamente. Abstract Lagoa do São Bento is a coastal restinga wetland, remnant of a paleolake, located in Maricá, RJ. The study aimed to inventory native aquatic plants, make a floristic comparison with other coastal lagoons and analyze the regeneration of this community after anthropic impacts. In the floristic analysis of aquatic plants, 45 species were listed, 39 of which are Angiosperms and six are Ferns. Resumo No presente estudo é apresentada uma análise específica e abrangente da flora arbórea da Ilha Grande, localizada no município de Angra dos Reis, litoral Sul do estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Informações inéditas e contribuições dos estudos já conduzidos no local que investigaram questões relacionadas à composição e riqueza de espécies arbóreas, grau de ameaça, endemismos e histórico de ocupação e/ou alterações de uso da terra foram reunidas e analisadas. Este estudo é parte do Programa de Pesquisa em Biodiversidade (PPBio) Mata Atlântica que, através de inventários fitossociológicos do componente arbóreo, vêm contribuindo, desde 2010, para o incremento do conhecimento florístico da Ilha Grande. O inventário identificou 509 espécies arbóreas, pertencentes a 220 gêneros e 74 famílias. Dessas, 34 espécies foram categorizadas como ameaçadas de extinção, sendo duas criticamente em perigo, 18 em perigo e 14 vulneráveis. Foram indicadas 53 espécies arbóreas exóticas. Os resultados aqui apresentados reforçam a importância desses inventários como ferramentas indispensáveis para a construção de estratégias e ações de conservação, restauração e manejo da diversidade no contexto da Mata Atlântica.

Abstract In the present study a specific and comprehensive analysis of the arboreal flora of Ilha Grande, located in the municipality of Angra dos Reis, on the southern coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is presented. Unpublished data and contributions from studies already carried out at the site that investigated issues related to the composition and richness of tree species, the degree of threat, endemism and the history of occupation and/or changes in land use were gathered and analyzed. This study is part of the PPBio Mata Atlântica – Programa de Pesquisa em Biodiversidade (Biodiversity Research Program) which, through phytosociological inventories of the tree component, has been contributing, since 2010, to the increase in the floristic knowledge of Ilha Grande. The inventory identified 509 tree species, belonging to 220 genera and 74 families. Of these, 34 species were categorized as threatened, two of which are critically endangered, 18 are endangered and 14 are vulnerable. 53 exotic tree species were indicated. The results presented here reinforce the importance of these inventories as indispensable tools for the construction of strategies and actions for conservation, restoration and management of diversity in the context of the Atlantic Forest.

Resumo: O presente trabalho investigou a composição de espécies arbóreas de Leguminosae presentes em florestas litorâneas, estabelecidas sobre solos litólicos ou planície arenosa, na porção Central e Leste do estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Foi realizado um estudo comparativo entre áreas de Floresta Atlântica no Sudeste brasileiro para avaliar a influência de variáveis ambientais nas diferenciações florísticas. Foram elencadas 34 áreas da Região Sudeste na plataforma NeoTropTree e tabuladas as espécies de Leguminosae dessas áreas para análise de similaridade. Foi utilizado o índice de similaridade de Jaccard e o método UPGMA para as análises de agrupamento. As relações entre a composição de espécies de Leguminosae e as variáveis ambientais foram investigadas através da análise de Correspondência Canônica (CCA). A análise de agrupamento mostrou que o conjunto de espécies de Leguminosae arbóreas dessa porção do litoral fluminense possui afinidade florística com as florestas estacionais, resultado igualmente corroborado pela CCA. Essa diferenciação florística é sustentada por um conjunto exclusivo de espécies de Leguminosae, estabelecidas nessas florestas sobre solos litólicos ou planície arenosa e sinaliza que a extensão de matas secas no estado do Rio de Janeiro pode ser maior que o apresentado atualmente. Este resultado justifica ações diferenciadas em termos de conservação, tendo em vista a singularidade florística apresentada por estas áreas.

Abstract: This study investigated the current Leguminosae tree species composition in coastal forests over lithosoil soil or sandy plains in the eastern and central portion of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. A comparative study between the Atlantic Forest areas of the Southeast Region of Brazil was conducted to evaluate the influence of environmental variables on floristic differentiation. A total of 34 areas of the Southeast Region was selected from the NeoTropTree platform and the Leguminosae species in these areas were the basis for a similarity analysis. The Jaccard Similarity Index and the UPGMA method were applied for grouping analysis. The relationships between the Leguminosae species composition and the environmental variables were investigated via Cannonical Correspondance Analysis (CCA). The cluster analysis showed that the Leguminosae tree species group of this portion of Rio de Janeiro coastline share floristic affinity with seasonal forests, a result confirmed by CCA. This floristic differentiation is sustained by an exclusive group of Leguminosae species established over lithosoils or sandy plains, and signals that the extent of dry forests in Rio de Janeiro state might be larger than currently stated. The results justify distinct conservation actions in view of the floristic singularities of these areas.
