Mediados pela ferramenta Wiki do Moodle, desenvolvemos atividades a distância no Curso de Física da UFSM com o intuito de produzir um objeto escolar hipermídia tematizado pelo Tema Estruturador do Ensino de Física 2: Calor, Ambiente e usos de Energia (oriundo dos PCN+ ), locando o diálogo-problematizador na transversalidade curricular "Meio Ambiente". Problematizamos esta atividade, caracterizada como uma produção colaborativa de hipermídia de divulgação científico-tecnológica, ao longo do período letivo da disciplina Didática I da Física da instância curricular integradora. O trabalho em grupo mediado pelo wiki do Moodle tem sido implementado através do PEA (Planejamento, Execução e Avaliação) de forma cíclico-espiralada, estudando os casos. Os resultados indicam boa potencialidade da mediação tecnológica, no âmbito do diálogo-problematizador e empowerment, para este tipo de trabalho escolar colaborativo a distância.

Through the wiki Moodle, we developed distance education activities in the Physics Course at UFSM, aiming at producing a hypermedia school subject related to the discipline Physics 2 structuring teaching theme: Heat, Environment and uses of Energy (coming from the PCN+), placing the problematic dialogue in the transversal theme "Environment". We designed this activity, described as a collaborative production of hypermedia for scientific-technological dissemination, over the period of school discipline Didactic I from the Physics Course. The working group mediated by the wiki Moodle has been implemented through the PEA (Planning, Execution, and Assessment). The results are positive on the use of technology mediation concerning problematic dialogue and empowerment, in this type of collaborative and distance education.

Este trabalho trata do problema de seqüenciamento de n tarefas independentes em m máquinas paralelas não-relacionadas com o objetivo de minimizar o tempo de execução da máquina mais carregada (makespan). É proposto um novo algoritmo de busca local em conexão com um esquema de vizinhança que usa estrutura de intervalos e o conceito de eficiência das máquinas para cada tarefa. O algoritmo proposto, denominado Mutat, é comparado com outros algoritmos para avaliar a qualidade das soluções obtidas. A nova abordagem encontra soluções que superam, em qualidade e tempo computacional, o melhor algoritmo de busca local encontrado na literatura para este problema.

This work deals with the problem of scheduling n independent jobs on m unrelated parallel machines with the objective of minimizing the makespan (the total elapsed time from the start of execution until all jobs are completed). In this work we propose a new local search algorithm in connection with a powerful neighborhood scheme that uses a structure of intervals and uses the efficiency of the machines for each job. The proposed algorithm, called Mutat, is compared with other algorithms in order to evaluate the quality of the solutions obtained. The new approach finds solutions that overcome, in quality and computational time, the best algorithm of local search found in the literature for this problem.

O sequenciamento de tarefas independentes de forma não preemptiva em sistemas de processadores uniformes, com o objetivo de minimizar o tempo total de execução (makespan), é o assunto do presente artigo. Considera-se um conjunto de n tarefas, onde cada tarefa possui um tempo de processamento, e um conjunto m > ou = 2 de processadores com velocidades de processamento sigma1 = 1<FONT FACE=Symbol>£s</FONT>2<= ...<FONT FACE=Symbol>£s</FONT>m. Sendo o problema de encontrar o mínimo makespan considerado NP-difícil, desenvolveu-se uma heurística de trocas poderosa para resolvê-lo. A heurística proposta é composta de três fases: alocação inicial, balanceamento de carga e fase de dupla troca. A principal característica desta nova heurística é a de prescindir de uma pré-ordenação das tarefas. A heurística desenvolvida foi comparada com um limitante inferior da solução ótima e também com outras três heurísticas apresentando um desempenho superior, encontrando a solução ótima em um grande número de casos as custas de um baixo esforço computacional.

This paper examines the nonpreemptive assignment of independent jobs to a system of uniform processors with the objective of reducing makespan, or the time required from the start of execution until all jobs are completed. We consider a set of n jobs, each having an execution time and a set of m > or = 2 processors which are assumed to have different speeds (say sigma1 = 1<FONT FACE=Symbol>£s</FONT>2<= ... <FONT FACE=Symbol>£s</FONT>m). Since the problem of finding a minimal makespan has been show to be NP-hard, we develop a powerful interchange heuristic. The heuristic proposed is composed by three phases: initial assignment, job reassignment and job interchange. The main feature of this method is not perform a pre-classification of the tasks. Some comparison are made with other heuristic schemes and a lower bound that validates the results obtained. The heuristic achieve optimal solutions for several instances in a short computational time.
