Abstract: The purpose of this article is to discuss the evolution of commodity packaging forms from the perspective of media evolution and art philosophy. Firstly, the historical evolution of commodity packaging, in the process of media evolution, is analyzed, from handmade to digital design, revealing the changes of packaging media in different periods. Subsequently, from the perspective of art philosophy, the article analyzed the connotation of commodity packaging, as an art form, and discussed the use of artistic elements in packaging design and its role in conveying emotions and concepts. Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é discutir a evolução das formas de embalagens de mercadorias sob a perspectiva da evolução da mídia e da filosofia da arte. Primeiramente, analisamos a evolução histórica das embalagens de mercadorias, no processo de evolução dos meios, do design artesanal ao digital, revelando as mudanças dos meios de embalagem em diferentes períodos. Posteriormente, na perspectiva da filosofia da arte, tratamos da conotação da embalagem commodity, como forma de arte, e discutimos o uso de elementos artísticos no design de embalagens e seu papel na transmissão de emoções e conceitos. RESUMO Objetivo: Uma revisão retrospectiva tem como objetivo investigar os métodos operatórios e efeitos terapêuticos da abordagem modificada de Stoppa para o tratamento de fraturas pélvicas e acetabulares. Métodos: 18 pacientes com fratura acetabular da coluna anterior e fratura do anel anterior pélvico foram submetidos a tratamento cirúrgico utilizando a abordagem de Stoppa modificada. Parte do tratamento foi feita em conjunto com a abordagem da fossa ilíaca ou com a abordagem pelo acesso posterior de K-L. A redução da fratura e a função pós-operatória foram avaliadas pelo padrão de pontuação de Matta e o sistema de pontuação de Majeed. O sistema do Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine foi usado para classificar a revisão de literatura e criar as recomendações de grau B. Resultados: O comprimento da incisão foi de 6 a 12 cm (média de 10 cm), a duração da cirurgia foi de 50 a 150 minutos (média de 85 minutos) e o volume de perda sanguínea intraoperatória foi de 400 a 1.000 ml (média de 500 ml). 18 pacientes foram acompanhados por 12-36 meses após a operação. Nos resultados dos filmes radiográficos, 12 casos foram de reduções anatômicas e os demais casos foram de reduções satisfatórias. De acordo com o padrão de Majeed, 13 pacientes foram considerados excelentes e cinco pacientes foram considerados bons. Conclusões: O tratamento que utilizou a abordagem de Stoppa modificada foi adequado para abordagens anteriores, nas quais as fraturas pélvicas e acetabulares estavam suficientemente expostas, a fratura foi convenientemente reduzida, ocorreram menos complicações e o efeito curativo foi satisfatório. ABSTRACT Objective: A retrospective review aims to investigate the operative methods and therapeutic effects of the modified Stoppa approach for treating pelvic and acetabular fractures. Methods: 18 patients with acetabular fracture of the anterior column and pelvic anterior ring fracture underwent surgical treatment using the modified Stoppa approach. Some of the treatment was combined with the iliac fossa approach or rear K-L approach. Fracture reduction and postoperative function were evaluated using the Matta scoring standard and the Majeed scoring system. The Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine system was used to grade the literature review and create graded B recommendations. Results: Incision length was 6-12 cm (mean, 10 cm), operative duration was 50-150 minutes (mean, 85 minutes), and intraoperative blood loss volume was 400-1,000 ml (mean, 500 ml). 18 patients were followed up for 12-36 months post-operation. In the results of X-ray films, 12 cases were anatomical reductions and the remaining cases were satisfactory reductions. According to Majeed standard, 13 patients were excellent and five patients were good. Conclusions: Treatment using the modified Stoppa approach was suitable for anterior approaches, in which pelvic and acetabular fractures were sufficiently exposed, the fracture was conveniently reduced, less complications occurred, and curative effect was satisfactory. ABSTRACT Quantifying the effects of coal mining subsidence on soil quality is critical for developing sustainable strategies in the local agriculture. The objective of this study was to assess the effects of slope position because of coal mining on soil quality using principal component analysis. Soil samples were collected from five positions in the subsided farmland: Top slope position (1), upper slope position (2), middle slope position (3), lower slope position (4), and bottom position (5). Samples from an adjacent non-subsided farmland (CK) were used as a reference. For each soil sample, 21 different physical, chemical and biological attributes were investigated. The principal components analysis (PCA) identified the bulk density (BD), salinity, organic matter (OM) content, urease enzymatic activity (UA), actinomycete quantities (AQ), polyphenol oxidase enzymatic activity (POA) and phosphatase enzymatic activity (PA) as the most sensitive indicators in a mínimum data set (MDS) to assess the soil quality. The soil quality index (SQI) was highest for positions 5 (1.220), 4 (1.203), CK (1.101), 1 (1.093), 3 (1.080), and 2 (1.044). Positions 5 and 4 had higher SQI values but lower crop yields than CK, which suggests that higher SQI does not represent higher production, and other soil quality indicators, which were not investigated in this study, had stronger effects on the crop productivity. Overall, the slope position because of coal mining subsidence strongly affected the soil quality and crop yields.

CONTEXTO: As complicações cardiovasculares são a principal causa de morte em pacientes com acromegalia, e a morte súbita tem sido associada a taquiarritmias ventriculares. Em outros pacientes com risco de vida por taquiarritmias ventriculares malignas, a aplicação cirúrgica de um cardioversor-desfibrilador implantável (CDI) provou ser altamente eficaz na redução das taxas de morte súbita. RELATO DE CASO: O presente artigo relata o caso de um paciente acromegálico de 50 anos de idade e do sexo masculino, que apresentava sintomas de síncope induzida por taquicardia ventricular. Foi implantado cirurgicamente nesse paciente um CDI e na mesma intervenção cirúrgica foi completamente removido um adenoma hipofisário responsável pela acromegalia. A cirurgia foi bem-sucedida e o paciente deixou de sofrer de arritmias ventriculares. Durante seis meses de acompanhamento, não se documentaram, nesse paciente, episódios arrítmicos. CONCLUSÃO: A taquiarritmia ventricular maligna pode ser efetivamente controlada em pacientes com acromegalia pela implantação de um CDI combinado com a remoção cirúrgica do adenoma hipofisário.

CONTEXT: In patients with acromegaly, cardiovascular complications are the main cause of death; sudden death has been associated with ventricular tachyarrhythmias. In other patients with life-threatening malignant ventricular tachyarrhythmias, surgical placement of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) has proved highly effective in reducing sudden death rates. CASE REPORT: The present article reports the case of a 50-year-old male acromegalic patient who presented symptoms of syncope induced by ventricular tachycardia. An ICD was surgically implanted and a pituitary adenoma, which was responsible for the acromegaly, was completely removed in the same procedure. The surgery was successful and the ventricular arrhythmias were effectively terminated. During six months of follow-up, no documented arrhythmic episodes occurred. CONCLUSION: In patients with acromegaly, malignant ventricular tachyarrhythmia might be effectively controlled by implantation of an ICD and surgical removal of the pituitary adenoma.

A new kind of crosslinkable potato starch-based graft copolymer emulsion (PoSt-g-BMD) has been prepared using butyl acrylate (BA) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) as main monomers, and diacetone acrylamide (DAAM) as functional monomer. The keto-carbonyl group of DAAM in PoSt-g-BMD copolymer could react with adipic dihydrazide (ADH) at ambient temperature to form cross-linked copolymer. The PoSt-g-BMD had been characterized by the FT-IR spectra and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It was applied to prepare the humidity-controlling coatings (PoSt-g-BMD-C). The water absorption of PoSt-g-BMD-C was 105%. The humidity controlling properties were also measured, and the PoSt-g-BMD-C exhibited humidity sensitivity and humidity retention because fillers of porous structure combined with PoSt-g-BMD copolymer emulsion based on scanning electron microscopy images (SEM). It could be widely applied in indoor coating for controlling humidity.
