RESUMO Objetivo: identificar a frequência de ocorrência do absenteísmo-doença, de acordo com o perfil dos profissionais da Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS), e verificar se houve impacto da pandemia na duração e motivos dos afastamentos. Métodos: estudo transversal, no período de janeiro/2019 a dezembro/2020, com os profissionais de APS de um município do nordeste do estado de São Paulo. Realizou-se estatística descritiva, com cálculo de frequências. Resultados: dos 977 profissionais da APS, 633 (64,79%) utilizaram o atestado médico para justificar sua ausência no trabalho em 2019, e 837 (85,67%), em 2020. O principal motivo dos afastamentos foi as doenças osteomusculares e do tecido conjuntivo nos dois anos. A duração média dos afastamentos foi de 7,33 dias (DP=17,33) em 2019 e de 9,88 dias (DP=16,05) em 2020. Os auxiliares de enfermagem foram os que mais se afastaram em ambos os anos. Conclusões: houve impacto da pandemia na duração e motivos dos afastamentos.

ABSTRACT Objective: to identify the frequency of occurrence of sickness absenteeism, according to the profile of Primary Health Care (PHC) professionals, and verify if there was an impact of the pandemic on absence duration and reason. Methods: a cross-sectional study, from January/2019 to December/2020, with PHC professionals from a municipality in northeastern São Paulo. Descriptive statistics were performed, with frequency calculation. Results: of the 977 PHC professionals, 633 (64.79%) used a medical certificate to justify their absence from work in 2019, and 837 (85.67%) in 2020. The main reason for leave was diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue in the two years. The mean duration of leave was 7.33 days (SD=17.33) in 2019 and 9.88 days (SD=16.05) in 2020. Nursing assistants were the ones who took the most leave in both years. Conclusions: there was an impact of the pandemic on absence duration and reason.

Métodos: estudio transversal, de enero/2019 a diciembre/2020, con profesionales de la APS de un municipio del nordeste del estado de São Paulo. Se realizó estadística descriptiva, con cálculo de frecuencia. Resultados: de los 977 profesionales de APS, 633 (64,79%) utilizaron el certificado médico para justificar su ausencia al trabajo en 2019 y 837 (85,67%) en 2020. El principal motivo de baja fue por enfermedades musculoesqueléticas y del tejido conectivo en los dos años. La duración media de la licencia fue de 7,33 días (DE=17,33) en 2019 y de 9,88 días (DE=16,05) en 2020. Los auxiliares de enfermería fueron los que más disfrutaron de licencia en ambos años. Conclusiones: hubo un impacto de la pandemia en la duración y motivos de las ausencias.

RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar a prevalência e gravidade da má oclusão e seu impacto na qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde bucal (QVRSB) e a satisfação autorreferida de pacientes com anorexia e bulimia nervosa. Métodos: A amostra foi composta por 60 mulheres que compareceram a uma clínica especializada em saúde mental de uma faculdade brasileira de Medicina. Os participantes foram distribuídos em dois grupos: pacientes com anorexia e bulimia nervosa (ABN; n=30) e pacientes sem distúrbios alimentares (CN; n=30). A oclusão dentária foi avaliada pelo Índice de Estética Dental; a QVRSB foi avaliada usando o questionário OHIP-14; e a satisfação autorreferida com a aparência dos dentes, capacidade de fala e mastigação foi avaliada por meio de entrevistas. Resultados: Má oclusão grave e muito grave foi observada em 26,67% e 46,67% dos pacientes no grupo ABN, respectivamente, enquanto o grupo CN apresentou 80,00% dos pacientes sem anormalidade/má oclusão leve. O grupo ABN apresentou maior proporção de pacientes (p<0,05) com perda dentária, espaçamento na região dos incisivos, desalinhamento maxilar e desalinhamento mandibular, em relação ao grupo CN. O grupo ABN apresentou menor (p<0,05) QVRSB e satisfação autorreferida com a aparência dos dentes, capacidade de fala e mastigação, em comparação ao grupo CN. Houve uma correlação positiva (p<0,05) entre o Índice de Estética Dental e o escore do OHIP-14 no grupo ABN. Conclusões: A prevalência de má oclusão grave no grupo ABN foi alta, com impacto negativo na QVRSB e satisfação autorreferida com a aparência dos dentes, capacidade de fala e mastigação.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the prevalence and severity of malocclusion and its impact on oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) and self-reported satisfaction of patients with anorexia and bulimia nervosa. Methods: The sample consisted of sixty women who attended a specialized mental health clinic of a Brazilian medical school. Participants were distributed into two groups: patients with anorexia and bulimia nervosa (ABN; n=30) and control patients without eating disorders (CN; n=30). The dental occlusion was evaluated by the Dental Aesthetic Index; the OHRQoL was assessed using the OHIP-14 questionnaire; and the self-reported satisfaction with the appearance of teeth, speech ability and chewing was obtained by interviews. Results: Severe and very severe malocclusion were observed in 26.67% and 46.67% of patients in the ABN group, respectively, while the CN group showed 80.00% of patients without abnormality/mild malocclusion. ABN group showed a higher proportion of patients (p < 0.05) with tooth loss, spacing in the region of incisors, maxillary misalignment, and mandibular misalignment in relation to CN group. ABN group presented lower (p< 0.05) OHRQoL and self-reported satisfaction with the appearance of teeth, speech ability and chewing, compared to the CN group. There was a significant positive correlation (p< 0.05) between the Dental Aesthetic Index and OHIP-14 scores in the ABN group. Conclusions: The prevalence of severe malocclusion in ABN group was high, with a negative impact on OHRQoL and self-reported satisfaction with the chewing ability, speech ability and appearance of teeth.

Trata-se de um estudo transversal, quantitativo, com amostra de 201 gestantes de alto risco, que realizam pré-natal no Ambulatório Médico de Especialidades. Aplicou-se um instrumento auto administrado, aplicados após a consulta com o médico. Os critérios de inclusão utilizados foram a presença das gestantes no dia da entrevista e seu consentimento de participação. Os de exclusão as que não aceitaram participar e não estarem realizando o pré natal no período do estudo. Para análise de dados, utilizou-se qui-quadrado e exato de Fisher, nos softwares Epi info 7.1 e Bioestat 5.0. Das gestantes, 76% acreditavam que, em seu bairro, é provável a infecção pelo vírus e utilizam medidas para controlar a proliferação do mosquito, como não deixar água parada (n = 154). Em relação ao conhecimento, houve associação entre a zika e a microcefalia (p ≤ 0,0001) e o apontamento da necessidade de mais informações (p = 0,0439). Para impedir o contágio, 76% não tomaram nenhuma atitude; houve, ainda, associação entre a necessidade de conhecimento sobre o assunto e as ações realizadas no combate ao vírus (p = 0,0049). Conclui-se que o conhecimento e a atitude das gestantes sobre a zika é falho.

To prevent infection, 76% took no action, there was an association between the need for knowledge about the subject and the actions taken to combat the virus (p = 0.0049). We conclude that pregnant women’s knowledge and attitude about zika is failed.

ABSTRACT Hepatitis B is a severe public health problem. The main world health centers have discussed it due to its pandemic proportion, high pathogenicity and infectivity. This study aimed to determine the immunization profile of dental surgeons - against hepatitis B virus (HBV) in the Public Health System (PHS) through the detection of anti-HBsAg antibodies by immunochromatography and associations with dental surgeons’ social and educational profile, factors related to professional knowledge and practices. This is a cross-sectional study on the prevalence of vaccination and immune status to HBV in dentists of Sao Paulo State PHS. Data collection occurred in three stages: questionnaire application, analysis of adhesion to the vaccination protocol and anti-HBsAg tests. Statistical analysis used the Bivariate Analysis and the Binary Logistic Regression. From the total of 219 interviewees, 74.9% reported having received three doses of the vaccine, but 35.6% were not immune to HBV. The dependent variable was associated with years in the public service (years) (OR [Odds Ratio]=1.04; 95% CI 1.00-1.08); knowledge on the subject (OR=6.93; 95% CI 1.39-34.40); incorrect answer concerning the etiological agent of the disease (OR=2.60; 95% CI 1.30-5.22); ignorance on the number of vaccine doses that have been administered (OR=3.43; 95% CI 1.14-10.30); and less than three doses of the vaccine in the immunization schedule (OR=8.76; 95% CI 3.50-21.91). A considerable portion of professionals non-immune to the HBV were found. We concluded that knowledge, years of practice and completion of the vaccination schedule (three doses) affected dental surgeons’ immune status to HBV.

Objetivo: investigar a imunização contra hepatite B em auxiliares em saúde bucal (ASBs) do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) de nove cidades do estado de São Paulo, Brasil, em 2018. Métodos: estudo transversal, baseado em entrevista com questionário e avaliação de imunidade pelo teste anti-HBs, realização prévia do teste, seu resultado e interpretação, e orientações recebidas sobre a doença. Resultados: dos 70 ASBs registrados, 35 completaram o esquema vacinal, 29 apresentaram resultado negativo ao teste anti-HBs, 16 realizaram previamente o teste e 43 não compreendiam corretamente seu resultado; houve associação (p=0,025) entre esquema vacinal completo e recebimento de orientações. Conclusão: a maioria dos ASBs recebeu orientações sobre a doença; entretanto, uma parcela considerável não completou o esquema vacinal e apresentou resultado negativo para o teste anti-HBs; poucos realizaram o teste anteriormente e interpretaram corretamente o resultado; evidencia-se cenário alarmante, com deficiência na imunização contra hepatite B entre ASBs.

Resumo Introdução A deficiência visual acomete aproximadamente 285 milhões de pessoas, em todo o mundo. A prestação de cuidados com a saúde bucal à pessoa com deficiência visual difere dos demais tendo em vista as suas limitações inerentes, as quais podem afetar o atendimento odontológico desses indivíduos. Objetivo Avaliar o acesso das pessoas com deficiência visual aos serviços de saúde bucal e a satisfação delas com o atendimento, além de verificar se há alguma relação com a condição econômica. Método Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa de caráter transversal, sendo a população de estudo formada por pessoas com deficiência visual de um instituto para cegos. Foi utilizado um questionário semiestruturado sobre o tema, cujas variáveis pesquisadas foram: acesso aos serviços de saúde bucal, satisfação e condição socioeconômica. Após a coleta, os dados foram tabulados pelo Epi Info 7.2. Resultados Do total de pesquisados (n=72), 65,28% são do sexo masculino, com idade média de 34,6 anos. Em relação ao acesso aos serviços de saúde bucal, 56,9% dos entrevistados relataram que a última visita ao dentista fazia menos de um ano e a maioria (84,3%) classificou o tratamento da última consulta como bom ou muito bom. O acesso aos serviços de saúde ocorreu tanto no sistema público quanto no privado, independentemente da classe econômica do pesquisado (p=0,174). Conclusão Apesar dos resultados positivos em relação ao acesso e ao atendimento odontológico às pessoas com deficiência visual, se fazem necessárias a criação e a ampliação de políticas de inclusão e de acessibilidade.

Abstract Background approximately 285 million people are visually impaired, oral health care to people with visual impairment differs due to the conditions’ limitations, which may affect the individuals’ dental care. Objective to evaluate the access and satisfaction of people with visual impairment to oral health services and their relationship with the economic condition. Method this is a cross-sectional quantitative study involving people with visual impairment of an Institute for the Blind. A semi-structured questionnaire was used to obtain data, where variables were: access to oral health services, satisfaction and socioeconomic status. After the data collection, the data were tabulated by Epi Info 7.2. Results of the total number of respondents (n = 72), 65.28% were males, with a mean age of 34.6 years. Regarding access to oral health services, 56.9% of the interviewees reported that the last visit to the dentist was less than one year, and the majority (84.3%) classified the treatment of the last consultation with good or very good. Access to oral health services occurred in both the public and private systems, regardless of the economic class of the respondent (p = 0.174). Conclusion in spite of the positive results, access and dental care for people with visual impairment requires the creation and expansion of inclusion and accessibility policies.

RESUMO Introdução: o tratamento ortodôntico visa à saúde bucal e ao reestabelecimento da função como objetivo final; no entanto, os efeitos psicológicos e sociais acabam sendo o principal motivo da procura pelo tratamento. Objetivo: determinar a associação entre a qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde bucal (QVRSB), a necessidade de tratamento ortodôntico e o bullying entre os adolescentes. Métodos: trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico transversal. Para avaliar a má oclusão, foi utilizado o Dental Aesthetic Index. O instrumento Oral Health Impact Profile-14 foi utilizado para analisar a QVRSB. O questionário Kidscape foi utilizado para verificar os casos de bullying. Também foram incluídas as variáveis: tratamento ortodôntico prévio e desejo de corrigir os dentes para melhorar a aparência. A análise multivariada foi realizada por meio de regressão logística, considerando-se a qualidade de vida ruim como variável resposta. Resultados: 815 adolescentes participaram da pesquisa. Houve associação, estatisticamente significativa, entre a qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde bucal e as variáveis: tratamento ortodôntico prévio (p= 0,0270), desejo de corrigir os dentes (p< 0,0001), sexo (p= 0,0309), bullying (p< 0,0001), frequência de episódios de bullying (p= 0,0170) e consequências do bullying (p< 0,0001). Foram considerados como fatores de risco para uma QVRSB ruim os adolescentes que não realizaram tratamento ortodôntico prévio a esse estudo (OR= 2,191) e aqueles que revelaram consequências negativas relacionadas aos episódios de bullying (OR= 3,042). Conclusão: a necessidade de tratamento ortodôntico não foi associada à qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde bucal, já o bullying e o tratamento ortodôntico prévio tiveram associação estatisticamente significativa com essa variável.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Orthodontic treatment aims at oral health and restoration of function as main objectives, however, psychological and social effects end up being the main reason for the demand for treatment. Objective: To determine the association between the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL), the need for orthodontic treatment and bullying among Brazilian teenagers. Methods: This was a cross-sectional epidemiological study. To assess the malocclusion, the Dental Aesthetic Index was used. And the Oral Health Impact Profile-14 was used to analyze the OHRQoL. The Kidscape questionnaire was used to investigate cases of bullying. The following variables were also included: previous orthodontic treatment and a desire to fix the teeth to improve one’s appearance. Multivariate analysis was performed using logistic regression considering the poor OHRQoL as a response variable. Results: 815 teenagers participated in the study. There was a statistically significant association between oral health-related quality of life and the variables: previous orthodontic treatment (p= 0.0270), desire to fix the teeth (p< 0.0001), sex (p= 0.0309), history of being a victim of bullying (p< 0.0001), frequency of bullying episodes (p= 0.0170), and consequences of bullying (p< 0.0001). The following were considered as risk factors for poor OHRQoL: lack of previous orthodontic treatment (OR = 2.191) and negative consequences of bullying (OR = 3.042). Conclusion: The need for orthodontic treatment was not associated with the OHRQoL; however, bullying and previous orthodontic treatment had a statistically significant association with this variable.

Resumo Este estudo buscou investigar a experiência de atuação dos agentes comunitários de saúde em relação aos indivíduos que vivem com HIV/Aids em áreas de risco social. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, realizada no ano de 2015 com agentes comunitários atuantes em município de médio porte do estado de São Paulo, Brasil. A produção das narrativas foi realizada pelo método do grupo focal, interpretadas e analisadas por meio da análise temática de conteúdo. O preconceito apresentou-se como a principal causa das dificuldades de atuação dos agentes; porém, a criação do vínculo com os usuários, aliada à conquista da confiança, foi a principal potencialidade nas ações desses profissionais. Torna-se essencial o rompimento da barreira gerada pelo preconceito para uma efetiva atuação dos agentes comunitários de saúde nos territórios, para que possam colaborar com o acolhimento desses usuários e com a redução dos efeitos da vulnerabilidade existente.

Abstract The present study had the goal of investigating the work experience of community health workers with individuals who live with HIV/Aids in areas of social risk. It is a qualitative research performed in 2015 with community health workers of medium-sized municipalities in the state of Paulo, Brazil. The narratives were produced using the focus group method, and they were interpreted and analyzed through the thematic analysis of content. Prejudice was the main cause of difficulties in the work of these professionals; however, the establishment of bonds with the users, coupled with the fact that the workers gained their trust, was the main potentiality in the actions of those professionals. Therefore, it is essential that we break the barrier generated by prejudice in order to guarantee and effective work in the territories on the part of the community health workers, so they can contribute to the embracement of these users and to the reduction in the effects of the existing vulnerability.

Resumen Este estudio buscó investigar la experiencia de trabajo de los agentes comunitarios de salud en relación a los individuos que viven con HIV/Sida en áreas de riesgo social. Se trata de una investigación de naturaleza cualitativa realizada en el año 2015 con agentes comunitarios de un municipio de tamaño mediano del estado de São Paulo, Brasil. La obtención de las narraciones se realizó a través del método del grupo focal, ¿interpretadas y analizadas por medio del análisis temático de contenido?. El preconcepto se presentó como la principal causa de las dificultades de trabajo de los agentes; sin embargo, la creación de un vínculo con los usuarios combinado a la conquista de la confianza fueron las principales potencialidades en las acciones de estos profesionales. Se vuelve esencial la ruptura de la barrera generada por el preconcepto para un trabajo efectivo de los agentes comunitarios de salud en los territorios, para que puedan colaborar con la acogida de estos usuarios y la reducción de los efectos de la vulnerabilidad existente.

Abstract INTRODUCTION: This paper analyzed sociodemographic and epidemiological data of individuals with syphilis as well as the compulsory reporting of the disease, for being a reemerging disease in Brazil. METHODS: General information and sociodemographic, epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory data were verified in compulsory reporting. RESULTS: From 2010 to 2016, 157 reporting forms were explored. Acquired and gestational syphilis occurred predominantly in those 20 to 29 years of age and those who did not complete secondary education. Compulsory reporting forms were not complete. CONCLUSIONS: The number of syphilis cases has varied over the years in the city. Incomplete compulsory reporting was noted.

Abstract INTRODUCTION: Occupational exposure is a major risk factor for hepatitis B (HB) transmission. METHODS: Vaccination coverage and immunity verification from 64 dentists of the Brazilian Unified Health System were investigated. An immunochromatographic method was used to verify immunity against the disease. RESULTS: Overall, 77.77% of participating dentists completed the vaccination schedule; 37.50% had negative anti-HBs test results. Furthermore, 60.93% of participants never underwent anti-HBs tests and 40% did not know how to correctly interpret results. CONCLUSIONS: Numerous dentists were not immune to the disease. Few participants previously performed the test, with many not knowing how to interpret the results.

Resumo Introdução O Código de Ética Odontológica (CEO), Resolução CFO-118 de maio de 2012, é um documento que preconiza a atuação ética dos profissionais registrados no Conselho Federal de Odontologia, com a intenção de orientação, reflexão e normatização do exercício profissional. Objetivo Analisar o conteúdo do CEO vigente, de forma a identificar aspectos relevantes abordados neste documento. Material e método Realizou-se uma pesquisa documental, descritiva, do CEO de 2012. Os conteúdos textuais dos artigos, parágrafos e incisos da Resolução CFO-118/2012 foram processados pelo software IRAMUTEQ e analisados pelas técnicas lexicográficas de Classificação Hierárquica Descendente (CHD), Análise de Similitude e Nuvem de Palavras. Resultado Na análise quantiqualitativa do corpus textual, foram observadas 5.340 palavras, com média de 89,0 palavras por artigo do CEO. Do total, foram encontradas 1.417 palavras distintas e 1.073 destas, que apresentaram média superior a 3,1 ocorrências por artigo, foram incluídas pelo software na CHD. Esta classificação resultou em seis classes: “Equipe de Saúde”, “Relacionamento Profissional-Paciente”, “Vedações”, “Publicidade e Propaganda”, “Conjunto Normativo” e “Prestação de Serviços”, sendo esta última a mais prevalente (20,1%) e caracterizada pelas palavras: tratamento (χ2=35,6), custo (χ2 =16,5) e trabalho (χ2=16,1). A partir das seis classes, foram identificados três grandes ramos: profissional (29,2%), assistencial (39,3%) e publicidade e propaganda (31,5%). Conclusão A análise léxica demonstrou valorização da prestação de serviços, priorização do ramo assistencial da profissão e de virtudes relacionadas ao profissional, segundo análise do CEO de 2012.

Abstract Introduction The Code of Dental Ethics (CDE), Resolution CFO-118 of May 2012, is a document that advocates the ethical performance of professionals registered in the Federal Council of Dentistry with the intention of orientation, reflection and standardization of professional practice. Objective To analyze the content of the current CEO in order to identify relevant aspects addressed in this document. Material and method A documentary research, descriptive of the 2012 CDE was carried out. The textual contents of the articles, paragraphs and subsections of CFO-118/2012 Resolution were processed by the IRAMUTEQ software and analyzed by Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD), Similitude Analysis and Word Cloud. Result In the quanti-qualitative analysis of the textual corpus, 5,340 word were observed, with a mean of 89.0 words per CEO article. Of the total, 1,417 distinct words were found and 1,073 of these, which presented an average of more than 3.1 occurrences per article, were included by the software in CHD. This classification resulted in six classes: “Health Team”, “Professional-Patient Relationship”, “Fences”, “Advertising and Marketing”, “Normative Set” and “Services”, the latter being the most prevalent (20, 1%), and characterized by the words: treatment (χ2 = 35.6), cost (χ2 = 16.5) and work (χ2 = 16.1). From the six classes, three major branches were identified: professional (29.2%), care (39.3%) and advertising and marketing (31.5%). Conclusion The lexical analysis demonstrated the valorization of the service rendering, the prioritization of the profession care sector and the virtues related to the professional according to analysis of the CDE of 2012.

RESUMO Objetivo: Objetivou-se analisar a satisfação com a experiência acadêmica entre concluintes da área das Ciências Biológicas e da Saúde de uma universidade pública brasileira. Métodos: Estudo transversal, quantitativo foi desenvolvido junto a acadêmicos dos cursos presenciais de Ciências Biológicas (n=30), Farmácia (n=45), Educação Física (n=44), Enfermagem (n=30), Medicina (n=39) e Odontologia (n=35), resultando em uma amostra de 223 acadêmicos. Os dados foram coletados através do instrumento validado - ‘Escala de Satisfação com a Experiência Acadêmica’, composto por 35 indicadores e três dimensões: 'satisfação com o curso', 'oportunidade de desenvolvimento' e 'satisfação com a instituição', com mensuração pela escala likert de cinco pontos. Aplicou-se estatística descritiva e testes de Anova, Kruskal-Wallis e teste t. Resultados: A dimensão 'satisfação com o curso' foi a melhor avaliada (p<0,001), enquanto a 'satisfação com a instituição' a pior. A maioria dos acadêmicos mostrou-se satisfeita com a grande parte dos indicadores avaliados. Atribuiu-se maior satisfação às relações interpessoais, em especial as envolvendo o relacionamento docente-discente e a capacitação de profissionais. Piores avaliações relacionaram-se a aspectos estruturais como segurança, conforto e suprimento de equipamentos. Estudantes de medicina apresentaram o maior escore de satisfação geral, divergindo significativamente dos piores escores: Ciências Biológicas (p<0,001) e Farmácia (p<0,001). Foram verificadas também diferenças entre os cursos nas demais dimensões (p<0,05). Em relação aos fatores demográficos não houve divergência significativa (p>0,05). Conclusão: Conclui-se que os acadêmicos investigados apresentam-se satisfeitos em relação à instituição de ensino superior; contudo, devem ainda ser estabelecidas estratégias que visem qualificar o seu processo educacional, em especial, a infraestrutura institucional.

ABSTRACT Objective: The objective was to analyze the satisfaction with the academic experience among graduates of the Biological Sciences and Health area of a Brazilian public university (n=30), Pharmacy (n=45), Physical Education (n=44), Nursing (n=30), Medicine (n=39) and Dentistry (n=35), resulting in a sample of 223 academics. Methods: The data were collected through the validated instrument - 'Satisfaction Scale with Academic Experience', composed of 35 indicators and three dimensions: 'course satisfaction', 'development opportunity' and 'institution satisfaction', measured by the Five point likert scale. Descriptive statistics and Anova, Kruskal-Wallis and t-tests were applied. Results: The 'course satisfaction' dimension was the best evaluated (p<0.001), while 'institution satisfaction' was worse. Most of the academics were satisfied with most of the indicators evaluated. Greater satisfaction was attributed to interpersonal relationships, especially those involving the teacher-student relationship and the training of professionals. Worst assessments related to structural aspects such as safety, comfort and equipment supply. Medical students presented the highest overall satisfaction score, differing significantly from the worst scores: Biological Sciences (p<0.001) and Pharmacy (p<0.001). There were also differences between courses in the other dimensions (p<0.05). Regarding the demographic factors, there was no significant divergence (p>0.05). Conclusion: It is concluded that the investigated students are satisfied with the institution of higher education; However, strategies should still be established to qualify their educational process, especially institutional infrastructure.

Abstract INTRODUCTION: In the 1990s, Brazil adopted a public policy that allowed for universal, free access to antiretroviral therapy (ART). Since then, treatment adherence has become a new challenge for administrators of sexually transmitted disease/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (STD/AIDS) policies. This study quantified adherence to ART and verified whether there is an association between sociodemographic variables and clinical/laboratory data in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional, exploratory study with a quantitative approach that was conducted over 8 months. The target population contained patients who were assisted at the ambulatory care facility specialized in STD/AIDS of a medium-size city located in Northwest São Paulo. In order to verify the level of adherence to ART, a validated CEAT-VIH (Assessment of Adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy Questionnaire) questionnaire was used. Sociodemographic aspects and clinical/laboratory data were obtained from the medical records. The results were analyzed using the Student's t-test and Pearson's coefficient. RESULTS Herein, 109 patients were interviewed, 56% of whom were male. The age of the population ranged 18-74 years (mean 45.67 years). Adherence to ART was classified as insufficient in 80.7% of cases. There was an association between ART adherence and presence of symptoms and/or opportunistic infection (p=0.008) and economic status (p<0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Adherence to ART among HIV carriers cared for by the public health system is low. Patients who reported a favorable economic status and those without symptoms and/or opportunistic infection demonstrated greater treatment adherence than those who needed to take more than 3 pills a day.
