Abstract NCED1 (9-cis-epoxy carotenoid dioxygenase) plays important roles in controlling ABA levels and drought stress tolerance. The relationships between sequence polymorphisms of the TaNCED1 gene and drought resistance in wheat were analysed. Four allelic variations of the TaNCED1-5B generated to drought resistance were identified. Four groups of KASP (kompetitive allele-specific PCR) markers were developed based on the four alleles and were verified in a natural population of 311 wheat cultivars. The distribution of the four alleles of TaNCED1-5B in the natural population was clarified. Among the allelic variations, 84.62% of the wheat varieties with TT/-/C/-,TT/C/C/-,TT/-/C/G or TT/C/C/G haplotypes were dryland cultivars. The common feature of the above four haplotypes is that they all contain the TT (98) and C (343) alleles at the TaNCED1-5B-TT/CG (98) and TaNCED1-5B-C/T (343) loci, which indicated that these two locis had highly positive correlation with drought resistance in wheat. ABSTRACT Emulsified asphalt is commonly used in highway engineering as a binder for interlayer bonding, slurry seals, micro-surfacing, and cold recycled asphalt mixtures. Its storage stability is a common technical challenge in the field. The preparation process of emulsified asphalt significantly impacts its storage stability. This paper examines the effects of emulsion pH, asphalt temperature, and shearing time on the storage stability of emulsified asphalt and the particle size of asphalt droplets. The morphological evolution of asphalt droplets was observed using fluorescence microscopy, and the principles of emulsion sedimentation were elucidated. Based on this, the optimal preparation conditions for emulsified asphalt were determined using response surface methodology. The results indicate that emulsion pH, asphalt temperature, and shearing time significantly affect the particle size of emulsified asphalt droplets and their storage stability. Emulsified asphalts with a larger number of droplets and smaller particle sizes exhibit superior storage stability. Furthermore, the correlation between the D50 particle size of asphalt droplets and the storage stability of emulsified asphalt is stronger than that of D10 and D90, making D50 a more suitable indicator for predicting and assessing the storage stability of emulsified asphalt. ABSTRACT This study investigates the feasibility of low-grade hard asphalt in high-temperature regions. We conducted an analysis of the high-temperature rheological properties of asphalt before and after short-term and long-term aging using the dynamic shear rheological (DSR) test and multi-stress creep recovery (MSCR) test. Additionally, the road performance of the asphalt mixture was studied by rutting test and low temperature beam bending test. The results indicate that the 30# asphalt demonstrates superior anti-rutting performance compared to the 50# asphalt. Furthermore, the rutting factor and fatigue factor of the 30# asphalt during aging are significantly higher than those of the 50# asphalt. With increasing temperature, stress level, and stress action time, the strain of the asphalt gradually increases. The unrecoverable creep compliance of the 50# asphalt exceeds that of the 30#. Although the high-temperature performance of the 30# asphalt mixture outperforms that of the 50# asphalt mixture, it exhibits lower flexural tensile strength and deformation ability at low temperatures compared to the 50# asphalt mixture. Abstract Background: studies have shown that dietary factors are linked to female infertility, but the relation between dietary fiber consumption and infertility has not been proven. The purpose of this research was to investigate whether there is an independent association between dietary fiber intake and infertility in American women. Material and methods: a secondary analysis of the National Health and NUTRITION Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset has been conducted, covering three cycles from 2013 to 2018. A total of 3,497 participants were included in the data analysis. The independent and dependent variables of interest were dietary fiber intake and infertility. Covariates included sociodemographic, questionnaire, diet, and physical examination data. Multiple logistic regression and sensitivity analyses were performed to investigate the relationship of dietary fiber intake with infertility. Results: each additional increase in log10 dietary fiber consumption was associated with a 32 % lower risk of infertility (OR, 0.68; 95 % CI, 0.48-0.96). The outcome is still robust in the minimally as well as the fully adjusted model. The possibility of a nonlinear association between dietary fiber intake and infertility was ruled out by the GAM model and smooth curve fitting. The RESULTS showed that there is an inverse linear correlation between dietary fiber intake and infertility. Conclusions: the association between intake of dietary fiber and infertility is linear, and increasing dietary fiber intake may be beneficial for lower infertility.

Resumen Antecedentes: el consumo de fibra dietética es un factor importante en la infertilidad femenina. El objetivo del estudio fue investigar si existe una relación independiente entre el consumo de fibra dietética y la infertilidad en las mujeres estadounidenses. Material y métodos: se realizó un análisis secundario del conjunto de datos de la encuesta nacional de salud y nutrición (NHANES), que abarcó tres ciclos entre 2013 y 2018. Se incluyeron 3497 participantes para el análisis de datos. Las variables independientes y dependientes asociadas fueron la ingesta de fibra dietética y la infertilidad. Las covariables incluyeron datos sociodemográficos, de los cuestionarios, dietéticos y médicos. Se realizó un análisis de regresión logística multivariada y un análisis de sensibilidad para determinar la relación entre el consumo de fibra dietética y la infertilidad. Resultados: cada aumento log10 en el consumo de fibra dietética se asoció con una reducción del 32 % en el riesgo de infertilidad (OR: 0,68; intervalo de confianza del 95 %: 0,48-0,96). En el modelo mínimo y totalmente ajustado, los resultados siguen siendo robustos. El modelo GAM y el ajuste de curvas suavizadas descartaron la posibilidad de una relación no lineal entre la ingesta de fibra dietética y la infertilidad. Los resultados muestran una correlación lineal negativa entre la ingesta de fibra dietética y la infertilidad. Conclusiones: se observó una relación lineal entre la ingesta de fibra dietética y la infertilidad. El aumento de la ingesta de fibra dietética redujo la incidencia de la infertilidad.
