RESUMO. As funções cognitivas têm sido alvo de estudos que avaliam o mecanismo patofisiológico do controle da fala. Objetivo: Comparar subgrupos de pacientes com e sem alterações de fala quanto à avaliação cognitiva, dados demográficos e clínicos (tempo de evolução da doença, funcionalidade e gravidade dos sintomas motores). Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo, de corte transversal. Os pacientes foram avaliados pelo Exame Cognitivo de Addenbrooke III e testes neuropsicológicos. Foram analisados os seguintes subsistemas da fala: articulação, fonação, ressonância e prosódia, por meio de avaliação perceptivo-auditiva (baseada em testes do Protocolo de Avaliação dos Distúrbios Adquiridos de Fala em Indivíduos com Doença de Parkinson — PADAF), sendo observados aspectos da programação e execução da fala. Os pacientes foram distribuídos em três subgrupos (cognição normal, comprometimento cognitivo leve e demência). Após a avaliação da fala, foram divididos em dois subgrupos (com desordens da fala e sem desordens da fala). Resultados: Participaram deste estudo 150 pacientes, 104 homens e 46 mulheres, com 63,58 (8,81) anos de idade, 11,03 (4,00) anos de escolaridade e 6,61 (4,69) anos de evolução da doença, e maior proporção de indivíduos no estágio I–II da Escala de Hoehn & Yarh — H&Y (86, ou 57,33%). Foram observadas diferenças estatisticamente significantes entre os subgrupos com e sem alteração da fala. Houve pior desempenho no Trail Making Test (TMT) TMT-Δ e tendência de diferença no TMT-B no subgrupo com desordens da fala, além de pior gravidade dos sintomas motores (H&Y) e queixa cognitiva. Conclusão: Os indivíduos com desordens da fala trouxeram queixas cognitivas com maior frequência e prejuízo abaixo do esperado nos testes que avaliam as funções executivas. ABSTRACT. Cognitive functions have been the subject of studies evaluating the pathophysiological mechanism of speech control. Objective: To compare the groups of patients with and without speech disorders with cognitive assessment, demographic, and clinical data (disease duration, functionality, and motor symptoms). Methods: Retrospective, cross-sectional study. Patients were evaluated using the Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination III and neuropsychological tests. The following speech subsystems were analyzed: articulation, phonation, resonance, and prosody, through auditory-perceptual evaluation (based on the Protocol for the Evaluation of Acquired Speech Disorders in Individuals with Parkinson's Disease — PADAF Protocol tests), observing aspects of speech programming and execution. The patients were distributed into three subgroups (normal cognition, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia). After speech evaluation, they were divided into two subgroups (with and without speech disorders). Results: A total of 150 patients participated in this study, 104 men and 46 women, 63.58 (8.81) years of age, 11.03 (4.00) years of schooling, 6.61 (4.69) years of disease progression, and with the highest proportion of individuals in stage I–II of the Hoehn & Yarh (H&Y) scale (86, or 57.33%). Statistically significant differences were observed between subgroups with and without speech alteration. Worse performance was verified in the Trail Making Test (TMT) TMT-Δ and a tendency of difference in the TMT-B of the subgroup with speech disorders, in addition to worse severity of motor symptoms (H&Y) and cognitive complaints. Conclusion: Individuals with speech disorders brought more frequent cognitive complaints and impairment below expected in tests assessing executive functions. Future studies, with stratification by type of speech disorder, are necessary to contribute to and validate these results. Resumo A importância atribuída à prática de mindfulness no contexto do trabalho tem vindo a destacar-se, existindo evidências que revelam os benefícios do mindfulness, relacionados com o bem-estar psicológico, repercutindo-se no aumento dos níveis de satisfação e de performance das organizações. Suportamos este estudo no modelo de dois componentes para o mindfulness: a auto regulação da atenção ao momento presente; e, a adoção de uma postura de curiosidade, abertura e aceitação para com esses eventos mentais. Avaliar a satisfação laboral, as atitudes de mindfulness e o bem-estar dos trabalhadores e a eventual relação entre estas dimensões. Estudo transversal, descritivo e correlacional, numa amostra de 272 adultos em idade ativa, dos quais 71 (26.1%) praticam atividades de meditação ou mindfulness na sua vida diária. Como instrumento de recolha de dados utilizou-se um questionário online, constituído por: i. questões socioprofissionais; ii. Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale; iii. Satisfaction With Life Scale; e, iv. The Generic Job Satisfaction Scale. Encontraram-se níveis de satisfação laboral, bem-estar e atitudes de mindfulness ligeiramente acima das suas médias teóricas, com diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre o bem-estar e o estado civil, e para o bem-estar e a satisfação no trabalho e a prática de mindfulness, com os praticantes a evidenciarem bem-estar e satisfação com o trabalho superiores. Níveis mais elevados de mindfulness promovem maior satisfação no trabalho e por sua vez saúde mental positiva e bem-estar geral. Apontamos como intervenção o programa mindfulness-based stress reduction e mindfulness-based cognitive therapy na redução do stress e aumento do bem-estar emocional.

Abstract The importance attached to the practice of mindfulness in the context of work has been highlighted, with evidence that reveals the benefits of mindfulness, related to psychological well-being, with repercussions on the increase in the levels of satisfaction and performance of organizations. We support this study in the two-component model for mindfulness: self-regulation of attention to the present moment; and, the adoption of a posture of curiosity, openness and acceptance of these mental events. Evaluate job satisfaction, attitudes of mindfulness and well-being of workers and the possible relationship between these dimensions. Cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study, in a sample of 272 adults of working age, of whom 71 respondents (26.1%) practice meditation or mindfulness activities in their daily life. As an instrument of data collection, an online questionnaire was used, consisting of: i. socio-professional issues; ii. Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale; iii. Satisfaction With Life Scale; and, iv. The Generic Job Satisfaction Scale. Levels of job satisfaction, well-being and mindfulness attitudes were found slightly above their theoretical averages, with statistically significant differences between well-being and marital status, and for well-being and job satisfaction and the practice of mindfulness, with practitioners showing superior well-being and job satisfaction. Higher levels of mindfulness promote greater job satisfaction and in turn positive mental health and general well-being. We point out as an intervention the mindfulness-based stress reduction program and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in reducing stress and increasing emotional well-being.

ABSTRACT The brain is one of the most important organs of vertebrates. Over the years, several studies have investigated brain features under different approaches, such as comparative morphology. Although many recent studies use non-invasive methods, such as micro-CT scan, some methods require access to the brain, such as histological analyses and cell count methods. In addition, several researchers do not have access to those expensive devices and rely on the traditional dissection to conduct their studies. Still, for most vertebrates, very few protocols are available for removing the brain, especially those committed to minimizing the damage to the specimen for further examinations. Here we describe in detail a method to dissect the brains of anurans and squamates maintaining the specimen’s external morphology as undamaged as possible. This simple method can be performed using few tools and can be achieved in the first trials, representing an incentive for more research on vertebrate’s brains. This method contributes to the maximum utilization of each animal collected, a positive practice from both ethical and practical perspectives.

Abstract Overview and aims: There is a large debate on the need to perform luteal phase supplementation in intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles. This study aimed at describing the use, indications and protocols of luteal phase progesterone supplementation among Portuguese reproductive medicine doctors. Study design: An online anonymous survey about luteal phase progesterone supplementation in intrauterine insemination cycles was conducted. Population: Portuguese reproductive medicine doctors. Methods: The survey was sent by e-mail to the mailing list of the Portuguese Reproductive Medicine Society. Results: Forty-one doctors participated in the study. An equal distribution between doctors working in private and in state institutions was verified. 61.0% of those doctors had more than ten years of experience. The most common reason to indicate an IUI was unexplained infertility (51.2%), followed by anovulation (36.6%). Concerning the type of medication prescribed, in case of unexplained or male infertility, the vast majority of doctors use gonadotropins, followed by ovulation trigger with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). In case of ovulation induction with clomiphene citrate or letrozole, 53.7% and 48.8% of doctors, respectively, supplement the luteal phase, mostly through 200 mg progesterone vaginal capsules twice a day. Most doctors initiate progesterone supplementation on the day of the IUI. When ovulation induction is performed with gonadotropins, 85.4% use luteal phase supplementation, 58.5% with 200 mg progesterone vaginal capsules twice a day, starting mostly on the day of the IUI. 36.6% of the doctors end progesterone supplementation at 10 weeks’ gestation and 36.6% at 12 weeks. Conclusions: The vast majority of Portuguese reproductive medicine doctors prescribe similar drugs for ovulation induction. However, there is some variability concerning luteal phase supplementation and the day of starting and ending progesterone use.

RESUMO Antecedentes: Medidas adaptadas transculturalmente para avaliar o desempenho nas atividades de vida diária (AVD) em indivíduos com doença de Parkinson (DP) são limitadas no Brasil. Objetivo: Adaptar transculturalmente o Questionário AVD e analisar sua reprodutibilidade em indivíduos com DP. Métodos: O Questionário AVD foi traduzido e adaptado transculturalmente para o português do Brasil. A reprodutibilidade foi analisada usando a confiabilidade teste-reteste e os valores de concordância. A confiabilidade dos itens individuais e as pontuações totais foram calculadas. Os limites de concordância foram verificados usando o gráfico Bland-Altman. O erro padrão da medida (EPM) e a diferença mínima detectável (DMD) foram calculadas. Pacientes classificados nos estágios 1–4 da escala de Hoehn e Yahr foram elegíveis. Resultados: Não foi identificada divergência entre a versão original e a versão adaptada, que demonstrou equivalência semântica e conceitual adequada. O gráfico Bland-Altman não mostrou mudanças sistemáticas nas pontuações médias do teste-reteste. O coeficiente de correlação intraclasse (CCI) foi de 0,98 (intervalo de confiança de 95% [IC95%] 0,93–0,99) e todos os itens individuais apresentaram bons níveis de confiabilidade (>0,60). Os valores do EPM (EPM%) e DMD (DMD%) foram 3,0 (6,75%) e 8,2 (18,7%), respectivamente. Esses valores estão em conformidade com os valores recomendados. Conclusões: O Questionário AVD-Brasil é um instrumento confiável para uso clínico e de pesquisa para avaliar a autopercepção do desempenho nas AVD em indivíduos com DP.

ABSTRACT Background: Culturally adapted measures to assess the performance of activities of daily living (ADL) in individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD) are limited in Brazil. Objective: To adapt the ADL Questionnaire to the Brazilian culture and to analyze its reproducibility in individuals with PD. Methods: The ADL Questionnaire was translated and cross-culturally adapted to Brazilian Portuguese language. Reproducibility was analyzed using test-retest reliability and agreement values. The test-retest reliability of the individual items and total scores were calculated. The limits of agreement were verified using the Bland-Altman plot. The standard error of measurement (SEM) and the minimum detectable change (MDC) were calculated. Patients who were classified on a score of 1–4 on the modified Hoehn and Yahr scale were eligible. Results: No divergence was identified between the original and the adapted version, which demonstrated adequate semantic and conceptual equivalence. The Bland-Altman plot showed no systematic changes in the mean test-retest scores. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was 0.98 (95% confidence interval [95%CI] 0.93–0.99), and all individual items showed good levels of reliability (>0.60). The SEM (SEM%) and MDC (MDC%) values were 3.0 (6.75%) and 8.2 (18.7%), respectively. These values are within the recommended values. Conclusions: The ADL-Brazil Questionnaire is a reliable instrument to be used for clinical and research purposes to assess self-perceptions of ADL performance in individuals with PD.

Resumo: O artigo analisa as principais práticas de cura, suas formas de transmissão e aprendizado em uma comunidade rural de Ibirité, Minas Gerais, entre 1940 e 1970. Discute os compartilhamentos e as tensões entre essas práticas e as prescrições realizadas em/por uma escola de formação de professores localizada no município. As principais fontes utilizadas foram depoimentos orais, documentos produzidos nos cursos, relatórios e legislação educacional. Foi possível identificar que a força dos saberes tradicionais estava pautada na crença que a comunidade tinha em relação a eles e em laços de solidariedade nos quais se apoiavam. A prática médica baseada na ciência teve de conviver, negociar e produzir sua legitimidade junto à população, em um jogo de forças, compartilhando e disputando espaços.

Abstract: This article analyzes main healing practices of a rural community in Ibirité, Minas Gerais, between 1940 and 1970, as well as how they are passed on and taught. There is also the discussion about the tensions between these practices and the prescriptions carried out by a teacher training program located in the municipality. The main sources used in the investigation were oral testimonies, documents produced in the courses, reports and educational legislation. The research identified that the strength of the traditional knowledge was based on community’s belief about them and in the bonds of solidarity on which they were based. Medical practice based on science had to live, negotiate and produce its legitimacy with the population, in a game of forces, sharing and disputing spaces.

Resumen El artículo analiza las principales prácticas curativas, sus formas de transmisión y aprendizaje en una comunidad rural de Ibirité, Minas Gerais, entre 1940 y 1970. Se discute el intercambio y las tensiones entre estas prácticas y las prescripciones realizadas en/por una escuela de formación de profesores ubicada en el municipio. Las principales fuentes utilizadas fueron testimonios orales, documentos producidos en los cursos, informes y legislación educativa. Se pudo identificar que la fuerza de los conocimientos tradicionales se basaba en la creencia que la comunidad tenía en relación con ellos y en los lazos de solidaridad en los que se basaban. La práctica médica basada en la ciencia tuvo que convivir, negociar y producir su legitimidad junto a la población, en un juego de fuerzas, compartiendo y disputando espacios.

CONTEXTO: Se sabe que, debido a la naturaleza de su trabajo, los bomberos, están expuestos a situaciones adversas, así como a eventos potencialmente traumáticos, siendo que se consideran un grupo de riesgo. OBJETIVO(S): Se objetivó estudiar el nivel de ansiedad, depresión y estrés, así como de la felicidad; la relación entre la ansiedad, la depresión y el estrés en la felicidad; y la relación entre la autopercepción de felicidad y el nivel de felicidad evaluada. METODOLOGÍA: Estudio transversal, descriptivo, correlacional e inferencial, en una muestra de 312 bomberos de 18 corporaciones de Trás-os-Montes. Como instrumento de recogida de datos se utilizó un cuestionario con cuestiones socioprofesionales, la Escala sobre la Felicidad (ESAF) y la Escala de Ansiedad, Depresión y Stress (EADS-21). RESULTADOS: Del análisis de resultados, se verificó: niveles bajos de ansiedad, depresión y estrés y niveles de felicidad altos; las correlaciones positivas entre las dimensiones ansiedad, depresión y estrés y una correlación negativa entre estas tres dimensiones y el nivel de felicidad. La relación entre la autopercepción de felicidad y el nivel de felicidad medida, muestra que los individuos que respondieron sentirse felices, presentan un nivel de felicidad superior en comparación a aquellos que respondieron no sentirse felices. CONCLUSIONES: Los bomberos de la muestra presentan niveles de ansiedad, depresión y estrés normales, de acuerdo con la clasificación de los autores de la escala EADS y niveles de felicidad altos.

OBJETIVO(S): Objetivou-se estudar o nível de ansiedade, depressão e stress, bem como da felicidade; a relação entre a ansiedade, depressão e stress na felicidade; e a relação entre a autopercepção de felicidade e o nível de felicidade avaliada. MÉTODOS: Estudo transversal, descritivo, correlacional e inferencial, numa amostra de 312 bombeiros de 18 corporações de Trás-os-Montes. Como instrumento de recolha de dados utilizou-se um questionário com questões socioprofissionais, a Escala Sobre a Felicidade (ESAF) e, a Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress (EADS-21). RESULTADOS: Da análise de resultados, verificaram-se: níveis baixos de ansiedade, depressão e stress e, níveis de felicidade elevados; correlações positivas entre as dimensões ansiedade, depressão e stress e uma correlação negativa entre estas três dimensões e o nível de felicidade. CONCLUSÕES: Os bombeiros da amostra apresentam níveis de ansiedade, depressão e stress normais, de acordo com a classificação dos autores da escala EADS e níveis de felicidade elevados.

BACKGROUND: It is known that, due to the nature of their work, firefighters are exposed to adverse situations, as well as potentially traumatic events, and are considered a risk group. AIM: The objective was to study the level of anxiety, depression and stress, as well as happiness; the relationship between anxiety, depression and stress in happiness; and the relationship between self-perception of happiness and the level of happiness assessed. METHODS: A cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational and inferential study was carried out on a sample of 312 firefighters from 18 Trás-os-Montes corporations. As data collection instrument, a questionnaire with socio-professional questions, the Scale about Happiness (ESAF) and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) were used. RESULTS: From the analysis of results, there were: low levels of anxiety, depression and stress and, high levels of happiness; positive correlations between the dimensions anxiety, depression and stress and a negative correlation between these three dimensions and the level of happiness. The relationship between the self-perception of happiness and the level of happiness measured shows that the individuals who responded that they felt happy, present a level of happiness superior to those who considered themselves not to feel happy. CONCLUSIONS: Firefighters in the sample have normal levels of anxiety, depression and stress, according to the authors' EADS rating and high levels of happiness.

Sin embargo, el mundo moderno, impone cada vez más exigencias a los individuos, promoviendo altos niveles de ansiedad, depresión y estrés, que a su vez pueden influenciar negativamente la felicidad. OBJETIVO(S): Identificar los niveles de felicidad, ansiedad, depresión y estrés de los docentes, personal no docente y estudiantes de la enseñanza politécnica; identificar relaciones entre la felicidad y la ansiedad, la depresión y el estrés. METODOLOGÍA: Estudio transversal, descriptivo, correlacional e inferencial. Muestra de 732 individuos de enseñanza superior: 189 docentes; 121 personal no docente; y 422 estudiantes. Se utilizó un cuestionario online, con cuestiones socioprofesionales, una parte con el Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, y la tercera parte con la Escala de Ansiedad, Depresión y Stress. RESULTADOS: Se verificó que los alumnos son los que presentan menores niveles de felicidad y niveles superiores de Ansiedad, Depresión y Stress. El grupo con mejores niveles de felicidad es el grupo de los docentes (M = 4.26, DP = .663), así como en términos de Ansiedad (M = 2.56, DP = 3.022), Depresión (M = 3.32, DP = 3.667) Stress (M = 5.94, DP = 4.109). Se verificaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas para la felicidad entre varios grupos y correlaciones negativas bajas a moderadas entre el nivel de felicidad y las dimensiones de salud mental bajo estudio. CONCLUSIONES: Se verificó una relación entre los niveles de ansiedad, depresión y estrés y el nivel de felicidad. Proponemos que este estudio debe profundizarse para identificar las posibles causas que provocan el bajo nivel de felicidad y los altos niveles de ansiedad, depresión y estrés de los estudiantes.

Utilizou-se um questionário online, com questões socioprofissionais, uma parte com o Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, e a terceira parte com a Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress. RESULTADOS:Verificou-se que o cluster dos alunos é o que apresenta menores níveis de felicidade e níveis superiores de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress. O grupo com níveis mais elevados de felicidade é dos docentes (M=4.26; DP=.663), bem como em termos de Ansiedade (M=2.56; DP=3.022), Depressão (M=3.32; DP=3.667) e Stress (M=5.94; DP=4.109). Verificaram-se diferenças estatisticamente significativas para a felicidade entre os grupos e correlações negativas baixas a moderadas entre o nível de felicidade e as dimensões de saúde mental sob estudo. CONCLUSÕES: Verificou-se uma relação entre os níveis de ansiedade, depressão e stress e o nível de felicidade. Propomos que este estudo deverá ser aprofundado para identificar as possíveis causas que provocam o baixo nível de felicidade e os altos níveis de ansiedade, depressão e stress dos estudantes.

BACKGROUND: Happiness as a measure of well-being has been gaining importance in the last decade. However, the modern world imposes more and more demands on individuals, promoting high levels of anxiety, depression and stress, which in turn can negatively influence happiness. AIM: To identify the levels of happiness, anxiety, depression and stress of teachers, non-teaching staff and students of higher education; to identify relationships between happiness and anxiety, depression and stress. METHODS: Cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational and inferential study. Sample of 732 individuals from polytechnic institutes: 189 teachers; 121 non-teaching staff; and 422 students. An online questionnaire was used, with socio-professional questions, one part with the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, and the third with the Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale. RESULTS: It was verified that the students are those with lower levels of happiness and higher levels of Anxiety, Depression and Stress. The group with the highest levels of happiness is the group of teachers (M = 4.26, SD = .663), as well as in terms of Anxiety (M = 2.56, SD = 3.022), Depression (M = 3.32, SD = Stress (M = 5.94, SD = 4.109). There were statistically significant differences for happiness among several of the groups and low to moderate negative correlations between the level of happiness and the dimensions of mental health under study. CONCLUSIONS: There was a relationship between levels of anxiety, depression and stress and the level of happiness. We propose that this study should be deepened to identify the possible causes that cause the low level of happiness and the high levels of anxiety, depression and stress of the students.

Resumo: Problematizar a escuta especializada, aos moldes da Lei nº 13.341/2017, de crianças e adolescentes vítimas ou testemunhas de violência, perpassa pela garantia da “proteção integral” frente a reflexão do movimento histórico. O presente estudo pretende discutir as implicações de tais requisições nos espaços sócio-ocupacionais do assistente social atuante na Rede de Proteção de Crianças e Adolescentes, a partir de análise bibliográfica e do arcabouço legal acerca da metodologia.

Abstract: Problematizing the specialized listening, to the molds of the law 13.341/2017, of children and adolescents victims or witnesses of violence, permeated by the guarantee of “integral protection” in the face of the reflection of the historical. The present study intends to discuss the implications of such requests in the socio-occupational spaces of the social worker working in the Child and Adolescent Protection network, based on bibliographic analysis and the legal framework About the methodology.

RESUMO: Este artigo objetiva analisar os dizeres de cordelistas acerca das dimensões composicionais (rima e métrica) do gênero cordel. Para tanto, apoiamo-nos, por um lado, em discussões teóricas sobre gêneros discursivos e literatura de cordel e, por outro, em construtos teóricos do campo da consciência metalinguística e, em particular, da consciência metatextual. Foram selecionados como participantes desse estudo seis poetas, com idades e tempos de escolarização distintos, com os quais foram realizadas entrevistas metalinguísticas, cujos dados foram tratados à luz da análise temática de conteúdo. Os resultados revelaram que os cordelistas eram altamente sensíveis às regras de rima e que, no caso dos poetas mais experientes e menos escolarizados, as lógicas do oral e da performance pareciam ser mais importantes que uma obediência estrita a padrões rímicos pré-determinados. Com relação à métrica, percebemos que certos preceitos eram de difícil verbalização, mesmo para aqueles cordelistas com maior nível de escolaridade. Além disso, alguns poetas menos escolarizados recorriam predominantemente ao recurso do “canto” para se certificar de que os versos estavam metrificados. Desse modo, concluímos que, mesmo quando não eram capazes de verbalizar aspectos composicionais dos cordéis, os poetas – inclusive os pouco escolarizados – engajavam-se em um complexo e sofisticado processo de reflexão metalinguística.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to analyze what cordel1 authors say about the compositional dimensions (rhyme and metrics) of the genre cordel. To this end, we rely, on the one hand, on theoretical discussions on discursive genres and cordel literature, and, on the other hand, on theoretical constructs in the field of metalinguistic consciousness and, in particular, on metatextual consciousness. The participants of this study were six poets, with different ages and years of schooling, with whom metalinguistic interviews were conducted, whose data were treated in the light of the thematic content analysis. The results revealed that the cordel authors were highly sensitive to the rules of rhyme and that, in the case of more experienced and less educated poets, the logic of oral and performance seemed to be more important than the strict obedience to predetermined rhyme patterns. Regarding the metrics, we realized that certain precepts were difficult to verbalize, even for those cordel authors with a higher level of education. In addition, some less educated poets predominantly resorted to the use of “singing” to make sure that the verses were metered. Thus, we concluded that, even when unable to verbalize compositional aspects of the cordel, the poets — including the poorly educated — engaged in a complex and sophisticated process of metalinguistic reflection.

Resumo O artigo analisa as práticas de leitura ocorridas no Centro Psychico de Caetité, Bahia, nas primeiras décadas do século XX. As fontes documentais utilizadas- atas, cartas, cartões, livro de manifestação dos espíritos - encontram-se no arquivo da instituição. O Centro mantinha intensa prática de leitura/audição de múltiplos objetos em seu cotidiano, revelando que o ato de ler cumpria papel ativo na construção da própria identidade do “ser espírita”. Tal leitura ocorria de modo coletivo, oralizado, gestualizado, mediado e controlado.

Abstract The paper aims to analyze the reading practices in the Centro Psychico de Caetité, Bahia State, in the first decades of the 20th century. The main sources used in the research - minutes, letters, cards, spirit manifestation books - can be found in the institution's archive. The Center maintained intense practice of reading / listening of multiple objects in its daily activities, revealing that the act of reading played an active role in the construction of the identity of the “spiritist self”. Such reading occurred collectively, orally, gestualized, mediated and controlled.

Resumen El artículo analiza las prácticas de lectura que ocurrieron en el Centro Psychico de Caetité, Bahía, en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Las fuentes documentales utilizadas - actas, cartas, tarjetas, libros de manifestación espiritual - se encuentran en el archivo de la institución. El Centro mantuvo una práctica intensa de lectura/escucha de múltiples objetos en su vida cotidiana, revelando que el acto de lectura desempeñó un papel activo en la construcción de la identidad propia del "ser espiritista". Dicha lectura ocurrió colectivamente, oralmente, gestualizada, mediada y controlada.

Résumé L´article analyse les pratiques de lectures qui se sont passées au Centre Psychico de Caetité, à Bahia, pendant les premières décenies du XXième siècle. Les sources documentaires utilisées - actes, lettres, cartes, livre de manifestation des esprits - se trouvent aux archives de l´institution. Le Centre maintenait une intense pratique de lecture/audition de plusieurs objets au quotidien, démontrant que l´acte de lire avait un rôle actif dans la construction de la propre identité “de l´être spirite”. Telle lecture se passait de façon collective, orale, mesurée et controlée.

Segundo o Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018, o empreendedorismo português é abaixo do ótimo, nomeadamente devido à baixa capacidade de networking dos empreendedores portugueses. Como tal, esta investigação foca-se nos traços psicológicos e de personalidade que podem ser a origem desse desempenho abaixo do ótimo. Participaram 331 jovens adultos para realizar a investigação, respondendo a um questionário composto por três partes: uma parte sociodemográfica; o Inventário Português de Características Psicológicas Empresariais (IPCPE); e o Big Five Inventory (BFI-44). Os resultados mostram que os jovens empreendedores têm pontuações mais altas no IPCPE e em quatro das cinco dimensões do BFI-44. No entanto, as diferenças em agradabilidade não são estatisticamente significativas, possivelmente evidenciando uma das razões para competências de networking abaixo do ótimo. Como as capacidades de networking são importantes para o empreendedorismo de sucesso, propomos o desenvolvimento de um programa de coaching psicológico para jovens empreendedores com o objetivo de impulsionr várias competências sociais que melhoram as capacidades de networking.

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018, Portuguese entrepreneurship is suboptimal, namely due to the low capacity of networking by Portuguese entrepreneurs. As such, this research focuses on the psychological and personality traits that may be the origin of this suboptimal performance. To carry out the research, 331 young adults participated by answering a questionnaire composed out of three parts: a sociodemographic part; the Portuguese Entrepreneurial Psychological Traits Inventory (PEPTI); and the Big Five Inventory (BFI-44). The results show that young entrepreneurs have higher scores on the PEPTI and four of the five dimensions of the BFI-44. However, the differences in Agreeableness are not statistically significant, possibly evidencing one of the reasons for suboptimal networking skills. As networking capabilities are important for successful entrepreneurship, we propose the development of a psychological coaching programme for young entrepreneurs with the objective to enhance several soft-skills that improve networking capabilities.

Resumo O artigo analisa práticas culturais e jogos de linguagem entre os povos indígenas Xakriabá, Minas Gerais. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de observação participante e entrevistas e focou a Folia de Reis, o Samba Chula e a Loa, caracterizando-as como formas multimodais de linguagem que, distanciando-se das práticas de oralidade cotidianas, compõem um mosaico simbólico construído por intermédio de reflexão sobre a própria linguagem e pelo uso de estratégias de construção dos sentidos como o ritmo, a melodia e o uso de rimas que permitem um processo de ressignificação de sua identidade como povo Xakriabá, além de serem referência para os professores na elaboração de práticas pedagógicas na escola indígena.

Abstract The present article analyzes cultural practices and language games among the indigenous Xakriabá peoples of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The study was conducted using participant observation and interviews, and focused on the Folia de Reis, the Samba Chula and the Loa. These were characterized as multimodal forms of language that, being distanced from practices of everyday orality, make up a symbolic mosaic. This is built through reflection on the language itself and on the use of construction strategies of the senses such as rhythm, melody and the use of rhymes that allow a process of redefining their identity as Xakriabá people, besides being a reference to teachers in the development of pedagogical practices in indigenous schools.
