Abstract This paper is based on the investigation of the performance of Precision Agriculture (PA) in an agro-business fair. Accompanying the team of a farm machinery concessionaire in their stand and, later, in their “control room”, we explore the gap between the expectation of an automated and intelligent electronic farming via Big Data, and the realization of the integration of information technologies in the management and automation of farming. Based on the vision of this team, experiences reported by professionals at the fair, and public online testimonials, we describe how an information relation has been established, in which the generation, circulation and massive processing of data promotes the optimization and expansion of agribusiness. Abstract Purpose This paper develops a case study focusing on the Portuguese Air Forces, first to identify the roles of the internal audit (IA) and then to analyse its influence on organisation sustainability, while also exploring the moderating effect of human resource management practices (HRMPs). Theoretical framework This research draws on empirical work on the roles and activities performed by IA in the private sector and human capital theory to assess the effect of HRMPs on performance. Design/methodology/approach The study uses the survey method and data were collected through a questionnaire made available on an online platform. The study applies an ordinary least squares regression model. Findings This study shows that IA provides assurance and advisory services and that IA is positively related to sustainability orientation, particularly in the governance and social dimensions. The moderating effect of HRMPs is felt only in the environmental dimension. Practical & social implications of research This study reinforces the literature on the relationship between IA effectiveness and sustainability, provides insights into the effectiveness of IA as reported by auditors themselves, identifies the portfolio of functions performed by IA, and points to improvements to be made in IA management. Abstract Pollen dispersal by insects determines the patterns of reproductive encounters between plants with flowers that have spatially or temporally segregated sexes. Pollinators exhibit varied responses to environmental gradients, such as those in grassland-forest ecotones. Individual-based interaction networks are useful yet underexplored tools to understand how interactions vary across these gradients. To test how a grassland-forest ecotone gradient affects these interactions, we studied pollination networks of Butia odorata individuals, a key palm tree species in a threatened South American grassland ecosystem. We assessed, through Structural Equation Models (SEMs), how network metrics (specialization and modularity) and pollinator richness and abundance (total, peripheral, core) respond to gradients of habitat and population structure in the grassland-forest ecotone. Networks with more spatially isolated palms showed greater specialization and modularity. Pollinator richness was dependent on the habitat context and pollinator role. The peripheral pollinators were negatively affected by palm density. The core pollinators were positively affected by tree cover, which, in turn, was positively associated with palm density and proximity to the forest. Abstract Hypertensive individuals present alterations in their calcium metabolism that consequently decrease the concentration of this mineral in the bone tissue. Objectives to evaluate the morphological and functional characteristics of the peri-implant bone tissue that was formed during the healing process by the placement implants using two different surface treatments: hydrophilic Acqua™ (ACQ) and rough NeoPoros™ (NEO), in spontaneously hypertensive (SHR) and normotensive rats (Wistar) whether or not treated with losartan. Methodology In total, 96 male rats (48 Wistar and 48 SHR) were divided into eight subgroups: absolute control rough (COA NEO), absolute control hydrophilic (COA ACQ), losartan control rough (COL NEO), losartan control hydrophilic (COL ACQ), SHR absolute rough (SHR NEO), SHR absolute hydrophilic (SHR ACQ), SHR losartan rough (SHRL NEO), and SHR losartan hydrophilic (SHRL ACQ). The rats medicated with losartan received daily doses of the medication. NeoPoros™ and Acqua™ implants were installed in the tibiae of the rats. After 14 and 42 days of the surgery, the fluorochromes calcein and alizarin were injected in the rats. The animals were euthanized 67 days after treatment. The collected samples were analyzed by immunohistochemistry, biomechanics, microcomputerized tomography, and laser confocal scanning microscopy analysis. Results The osteocalcin (OC) and vascular endothelium growth factor (VEGF) proteins had moderate expression in the SHRL ACQ subgroup. The same subgroup also had the highest implant removal torque. Regarding microarchitectural characteristics, a greater number of trabeculae was noted in the control animals that were treated with losartan. In the bone mineralization activity, it was observed that the Acqua™ surface triggered higher values of MAR (mineral apposition rate) in the COA, COL, and SHRL groups (p<0.05). Abstract Background: Evidence shows that systematizing the therapeutic approach to patients with post-stroke dysphagia reduces complications significantly. Objective: To design and implement a multimodal intervention to systematize an evidence-based approach to patients with dysphagia. Methodology: A continuous quality improvement project for nursing care was implemented in a rehabilitation inpatient unit in five phases: analysis of the model in use, design of the intervention, implementation, assessment, and dissemination of results. Data were collected through documentary analysis, audits, and focus groups. Results: There was an increase of 39.59% in the identified nursing foci and 45.33% in interventions. The translation of evidence into practice was also observed at the level of assessment, systematization of practices, and monitoring during meals and oral hygiene. Conclusion: This Project contributed to translating knowledge into practice, particularly concerning the success of the therapeutic plan, specifically in terms of dysphagia, for patients being cared for.

Resumen Marco contextual: Está demostrado que la sistematización del enfoque terapéutico de las personas con trastorno de la deglución tras un accidente cerebrovascular (ACV) tiene un impacto significativo en la reducción de las complicaciones. Objetivo: Diseñar e implementar una intervención multimodal para aplicar la evidencia en la sistematización del enfoque de la persona con trastorno de la deglución. Metodología: Proyecto de mejora continua de la calidad de los cuidados de enfermería desarrollado en una unidad hospitalaria de rehabilitación, en cinco fases: análisis del modelo en uso, diseño de la intervención, implementación, evaluación y puesta en común de los resultados. Los datos se recogieron mediante análisis de documentos, auditorías y grupos de discusión. Resultados: Se observa un incremento del 39,59% en los focos de enfermería identificados y del 45,33% en las intervenciones, así como la transposición a la práctica de la evidencia a nivel de la evaluación, la sistematización de las prácticas, el seguimiento durante las comidas y la higiene bucodental. Conclusión: Este proyecto contribuyó a la transposición de los conocimientos a la práctica, es decir, al éxito del plan terapéutico para la persona atendida, concretamente en el contexto del trastorno de la deglución.

Resumo Enquadramento: Existe evidência de que a sistematização da abordagem terapêutica à pessoa com deglutição comprometida após o acidente vascular cerebral (AVC) tem um impacte significativo na redução de complicações. Objetivo: Conceber e implementar uma intervenção multimodal para a implementação da evidência, na sistematização da abordagem à pessoa com deglutição comprometida. Metodologia: Projeto de melhoria contínua da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem desenvolvido num serviço de internamento de reabilitação, em cinco fases: análise do modelo em uso, construção da intervenção, implementação, avaliação e partilha dos resultados. Para a recolha de dados utilizaram-se a análise à documentação, a auditoria e grupos focais. Resultados: Verificou-se um incremento de 39,59% nos focos de enfermagem identificados e de 45,33% de intervenções, assim como a transposição para a prática da evidência ao nível da avaliação, da sistematização das práticas, acompanhamento durante as refeições e higiene oral. Conclusão: Este projeto contribuiu para a transposição do conhecimento para a prática, nomeadamente para o sucesso do plano terapêutico da pessoa alvo dos cuidados, concretamente no âmbito da deglutição comprometida.

ABSTRACT The Brazilian bocachico is a rheophilic fish from the northeast region of Brazil that holds great economic and scientific interest. The absence of evident sexual dimorphism and the invasive character of sexing methods and evaluation of gonadal maturation are obstacles to its artificial reproduction. In this scenario, ultrasonography emerges as a non-invasive method for sexing. The objectives of this study were to establish an ultrasound sexing method for Brazilian bocachico and select equations to estimate the gonadosomatic index (GSI), gonad weight (GW), and gonad volume (GV) of live bocachico. A total of 32 bocachico fish (18 females and 14 males) were analyzed ultrasonographically and morphologically. The association of morphometric and ultrasonographic parameters was investigated using Pearson Correlations. The following prediction equations were selected using multiple regression analysis: GSI = 16.22 × transvarea; GW = 30.3 × transvarea; and GV = 0.001260036 × pixels. A model capable of predicting the sex of the animals based on the ultrasonographic parameters was obtained using partial least-squares discriminant analysis with principal component analysis. The significance level adopted was P < 0.05. Resumo A existência de vários lugares para o educativo está sendo reconhecida na sociedade contemporânea. As game jams (GJ), contextos de criação de videojogos, vêm sendo estudadas como lugares onde o educativo pode ser emergente. Este artigo apresenta uma revisão da literatura, que integra estudos acerca das relações entre game jams e educação. Poucos estudos têm sido realizados, mobilizando métodos qualitativos e explorando as percepções e perspectivas das pessoas participantes sobre a forma como esse educativo desenvolve-se e concretiza-se. Este artigo recorre a dados de um estudo etnográfico multissituado e focado, desenvolvido no contexto de 5 GJ, e dados de 8 grupos de discussão focalizada, realizados de forma síncrona on-line, com participantes em GJ. Os resultados da análise revelam a emergência de quatro dimensões analíticas, que identificam as motivações educativas para a participação nas GJ e as características da experiência educativa vivida; as percepções sobre os resultados e efeitos educativos da experiência; os métodos, as estratégias e recursos educativos percebidos; e as percepções sobre o clima relacional e social vivido nas GJ. Essas dimensões analíticas permitiram explorar uma compreensão das GJ como novos lugares educativos, que concretizam a procura da integração ativa e dinâmica do lúdico, do tecnológico com e no educativo. Abstract The existence of several sites for education is recognized in contemporary society. Game Jams (GJ), contexts of video game creation, have been studied as places where the educational can emerge. This paper presents a literature review, which integrates studies on the relationship between game jams and education. Few studies have been conducted, mobilizing qualitative methods, and exploring the perceptions and perspectives of the participants on how education develops and takes shape in these contexts. This paper draws on data from a focused, multi-sited ethnographic study, developed in the context of 5 GJ, and on data from 8 focus groups, conducted synchronously online, with participants from GJ. The results of the analysis reveal the emergence of four analytical dimensions, which identify the educational motivations for participating in GJ and the characteristics of the lived educational experience; the perceptions about the educational outcomes and effects of the experience; the educational methods, strategies and resources perceived to be present; and the perceptions about the relational and social climate experienced in the GJ. These analytical dimensions enabled us to explore an understanding of GJ as new educational sites, which materialize the search for an active and dynamic integration of the playful, the technological with and in the educational. Resumo Objetivo Determinar se uma estratégia de resgate usando didrogesterona (DYD) pode melhorar os resultados dos ciclos de transferência de embriões congelados (TEC) com baixos níveis de progesterona (P4) no dia de uma transferência de blastocisto. Métodos Estudo de coorte retrospectivo que incluiu ciclos TEC realizados entre julho de 2019 e outubro de 2020 após um ciclo de preparação endometrial artificial usando valerato de estradiol e P4 vaginal micronizado (400 mg duas vezes ao dia). Sempre que o valor de P4 sérico estava abaixo de 10 ng/mL na manhã da transferência planejada, adicionou-se 10 mg de DYD tri-diário como suplementação. O desfecho primário foi gravidez evolutiva após 10 semanas. A amostra foi subdividida em dois grupos de acordo com o P4 sérico no dia da TEC: baixo (< 10 ng/mL, com suplementação de DYD) ou normal (acima de 10 ng/mL). Realizamos equações de estimativa generalizada linear ou logística (GEE), conforme apropriado. Resultados Analisaram-se 304 ciclos de FET de 241 casais, dos quais 11,8% (n = 36) tinham valores de P4 sérico abaixo de 10 ng/mL no dia da TEC. Os dados clínicos e demográficos dos pacientes eram comparáveis entre os grupos. Globalmente, 191 ciclos (62,8%) tiveram uma gravidez bioquímica, dos quais 131 (44,1%) foram gestações em curso, com uma taxa de aborto espontâneo de 29,8%. Abstract Objective To determine whether a rescue strategy using dydrogesterone (DYD) could improve the outcomes of frozen embryo transfer cycles (FET) with low progesterone (P4) levels on the day of a blastocyst transfer. Methods Retrospective cohort study including FET cycles performed between July 2019 and October 2020 following an artificial endometrial preparation cycle using estradiol valerate and micronized vaginal P4 (400 mg twice daily). Whenever the serum P4 value was below 10 ng/mL on the morning of the planned transfer, DYD 10 mg three times a day was added as supplementation. The primary endpoint was ongoing pregnancy beyond 10 weeks. The sample was subdivided into two groups according to serum P4 on the day of FET: low (< 10 ng/mL, with DYD supplementation) or normal (above 10 ng/mL). We performed linear or logistic generalized estimating equations (GEE), as appropriate. Results We analyzed 304 FET cycles from 241 couples, 11.8% (n = 36) of which had serum P4 below 10 ng/mL on the FET day. Baseline clinical data of patients was comparable between the study groups. Overall, 191 cycles (62.8%) had a biochemical pregnancy, of which 131 (44,1%) were ongoing pregnancies, with a 29,8% miscarriage rate. We found no statistically significant differences in the hCG positive (63 vs 64%) or ongoing pregnancy rates (50 vs 43,3%) between those FETs with low or normal serum P4 values, even after multivariable logistic regression modelling. Conclusion Our results indicate that DYD 10 mg three times a day administered in women who perform FET with P4 serum levels < 10 ng/mL, allows this group to have pregnancy rates beyond 12 weeks at least as good as those with serum levels above 10 ng/mL.
