ABSTRACT The article is the result of doctoral scientific research and professional practice applied in pre-university institutions belonging to the territory of San Miguel del Padrón regarding the possible interdisciplinary relations between historical subjects and the rest of the curriculum. Consequently, the objective is to assess the potentialities of History and the need to prepare teachers for the achievement of interdisciplinarity from the subjects of History and others of the humanities area, through selected articulation nodes. It is contributed through a methodological alternative that favors the change required within the framework of the third educational improvement. As part of the process, theoretical and empirical methods were used from the Dialectical Materialist conception that made it possible to base the study and clarify the real state, from the results of the diagnosis, obtained with the observation of classes, the survey and the interview, these evidenced the insufficiencies, in spite of being considered an objective of the Study Plan and consequently of the Profile of the graduate of the educational level. The preparation of the professors who are in charge of teaching is an essential condition, since it makes possible the projection of their performance from the historical content in other subjects of the humanities.

RESUMEN El artículo es resultado de la investigación científica doctoral y la práctica profesional aplicada en las instituciones preuniversitarias pertenecientes al territorio San Miguel del Padrón en torno a las posibles relaciones interdisciplinares entre las asignaturas históricas y las restantes del currículo. En consecuencia, el objetivo es valorar las potencialidades de la Historia y la necesidad de preparación de los profesores para el logro de la interdisciplinariedad desde las asignaturas de Historia y otras del área de las humanidades, a través de nodos de articulación seleccionados. Se contribuye mediante una alternativa metodológica que favorece el cambio requerido en el marco del tercer perfeccionamiento educacional. Como parte del proceso se utilizaron métodos teóricos y empíricos desde la concepción Dialéctico Materialista que posibilitaron fundamentar el estudio y esclarecer el estado real, a partir de los resultados del diagnóstico, obtenidos con la observación a clases, la encuesta y la entrevista, estos evidenciaron las insuficiencias, pese a considerarse un objetivo del Plan de estudio y por consiguiente del Perfil del egresado del nivel educativo. Constituye condición esencial la preparación de los profesores que rectoran la docencia, pues posibilita concretar la proyección de su desempeño desde el contenido histórico en otras asignaturas de las humanidades.

Resumen Introducción. El uso efectivo de inoculantes micorrízicos representa un desafío para la agricultura cubana. El boniato o camote es un cultivo importante para la nutrición humana y animal. Es un cultivo dependiente de la micorrización con un exitoso programa de mejoramiento genético. Objetivo. Determinar si todos los cultivares de boniato responden a la inoculación y si la efectividad de los inoculantes varía con los cultivares y las épocas de siembra. Materiales y métodos. Se realizaron dos experimentos durante 2010 - 2012 en suelos Cambisoles éutricos en Villa Clara, Cuba, uno en cada época de plantación y repetido dos veces. Se evaluó la respuesta de diecisiete cultivares a la aplicación de tres inoculantes, en presencia de media dosis de fertilización y tres tratamientos no inoculados con niveles de fertilización de 0, 50 y 100 % de la dosis de nitrógeno, fósforo y potasio (100 % NPK). Se utilizó un diseño de parcelas divididas. Como variables de respuesta se evaluaron los rendimientos de raíces comestibles, la frecuencia de colonización y las esporas micorrízicas. Resultados. Los cultivares no solo respondieron positivamente a la inoculación y fertilización, sino que mostraron diferencias entre sus rendimientos. Sin embargo, los rendimientos mayores en cada cultivar siempre se obtuvieron al ser inoculados con Rhizoglomus irregulare/ INCAM-11, los cuales superaron (p≤0,05) a los obtenidos cuando solo recibieron el 50 % de la dosis de NPK. En la época lluviosa con mayores rendimientos, la diferenciación entre inoculantes fue más pronunciada y en trece y nueve de los cultivares, los rendimientos obtenidos con INCAM-11 fueron superiores (p≤0,05) a los obtenidos con Glomus cubense/ INCAM-4 y 100 % NPK, respectivamente. En la época poco lluviosa, no se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los rendimientos obtenidos al inocular INCAM-11 o INCAM-4 o aplicar 100 % NPK. En ambas épocas, la inoculación con Funneliformis mosseae/ INCAM-2 fue siempre inferior. Las frecuencias de colonización y la producción de esporas fueron siempre superiores (p≤0,05) cuando se inoculó INCAM-11. Conclusiones. Bajo las condiciones de suelo evaluadas, la inoculación con INCAM-11 mostró una mayor efectividad para todos los cultivares y épocas de siembra, con los mayores rendimientos e indicadores de rendimiento micorrízico.

Abstract Introduction. The effective use of mycorrhizal inoculants poses a challenge for Cuban agriculture. Sweet potato is an important crop for human and animal nutrition, being a mycorrhizal crop with a successful breeding program. Objective. To determine whether all sweet potato cultivars respond to inoculation and if the effectiveness of inoculants varies among cultivars and planting seasons. Materials and methods. Two experiments were conducted during 2010 - 2012 in Eutric Cambisols in Villa Clara, Cuba, one for each planting season and repeated twice. Seventeen cultivars were evaluated for their response to the application of three inoculants, in the presence of a half the fertilization dose, and three non-inoculated treatments with fertilization levels of 0, 50, and 100 % of the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium dose (100 % NPK). A split plot design was used. Root yields, colonization frequency, and mycorrizal spore production were evaluated as response variables. Results. Cultivars responded positively to inoculation and fertilization, showing differences in yields. However, the highest yields were obtained when inoculated with Rhizoglomus irregulare/ INCAM-11, surpassing (p≤0.05) those obtained with only 50 % of the NPK dose. In the rainy season with higher yields, the differentiation between inoculants was more pronounced, and in thirteen and nine of the cultivars, yields obtained with INCAM-11 were higher (p≤0.05) to those obtained with Glomus cubense/ INCAM-4 and 100 % NPK, respectively. In the dry season, no significant differences were found between yields obtained by inoculating INCAM-11 or INCAM-4 or applying 100 % NPK. In both seasons, inoculation with Funneliformis mosseae/ INCAM-2 was consistently lower. Colonization frequencies and spore production were always higher (p≤0.05) when INCAM-11 was inoculated. Conclusion. Under these soil conditions evaluated, inoculation with INCAM-11 showed higher effectiviveness for all cultivars and planting seasons, resulting in a higher yields and mycorrhizal performance indicators.

Resumen Introducción. Para el establecimiento adecuado de plantaciones de cacao, se deben garantizar tecnologías idóneas para la obtención de posturas (plantas jóvenes sembradas y desarrolladas en bolsas) de calidad en los viveros. Objetivo. Definir indicadores de calidad para posturas de cacao producida vía micro injertos, en función de las fuentes orgánicas y hongos micorrízicos arbusculares en un suelo Cambisol. Materiales y métodos. Entre 2018 y 2019, en el vivero de la Empresa Agroforestal y Coco de Baracoa, se evaluó la inoculación de las cepas Glomus cubense y Rhizoglomus irregulare en sustratos formados por humus de lombriz y cáscara de cacao compostada (3:1,5:1 v/v). Se utilizó un diseño completamente aleatorizado, con cincuenta posturas por tratamiento, de ellas se evaluaron veinticinco. A los cuatro meses se evaluó: altura, diámetro del tallo, masa seca aérea, radical y total, concentración de nutrientes foliares (N, P, K), área foliar, índice de esbeltez, índice de calidad Dickson (ICD) y porcentaje de colonización micorrízica. Se realizó un análisis de varianza de clasificación simple y se aplicó la prueba de comparación de Duncan (95 %). Resultados. La inoculación de G. cubense y R. irregulare, independiente de la fuente de abono orgánico, incrementaron significativamente la masa seca total (39 %), el área foliar (20 %) y el ICD (48 %), respecto los testigos. El ICD se relacionó significativamente (p<0,05) con la masa seca total y el área foliar (R2= 0,97). La inoculación con R. irregulare y G. cubense incrementaron las concentraciones foliares de N, P y K. Conclusiones. Las variables masa seca total, el área foliar, el índice de esbeltez y el ICD, mostraron un carácter integrador del crecimiento de la planta y pueden ser indicadores de calidad para los micro injertos de cacao, a partir de relaciones suelo : abonos orgánicos e inoculación con G. cubense y R. irregulare.

Abstract Introduction. For the proper establishment of cocoa plantations, suitable technologies must be guaranteed to obtain quality seedlings (young plants sown and developed in bags) in the nurseries. Objective. To define quality indicators for cocoa seedlings produced via micro-grafting, depending on organic sources and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in a Brown Sialitic soil. Materials and methods. Between 2018 and 2019 in the nursery of the Empresa Agroforestal y Coco de Baracoa, the inoculation of the Glomus cubense and Rhizoglomus irregulare strains in substrates formed by earthworm humus and composted cocoa husk (3:1,5:1 v/v) was evaluated. A completely randomized design was used, with 50 postures per treatment, of which 25 were evaluated. At four months, the following were evaluated: plant height, stem diameter, aerial, root and total dry mass, foliar nutrient concentration (N, P, K), leaf area, slenderness index, Dickson Quality Index (DQI), and the percentage of mycorrhizal colonization. A simple rank analysis of variance was performed and Duncan’s comparison test (95 %) was applied. Results. The inoculation of G. cubense and R. irregulare, regardless of the source, significantly increased total dry mass (39 %), the leaf area (20 %) and the DQI (48 %) with respect to the controls. The DQI was significantly related (p<0.05) to total dry mass and leaf area (R2= 0.97). The inoculation with R. irregulare and G. cubense increased the leaf N, P, and k concentrations. Conclusions. The variables total dry mass, leaf area, slenderness index, and DQI showed an integrative character of plant growth and can be used as quality indicators for cocoa micro-grafts, based on soil : organic fertilizer relationships and inoculation with G. cubense and R. irregulare.

Resumen Introducción. La introducción comercial de Coffea canephora en Cuba ocurrió en 1930. Se han realizado investigaciones sobre los requerimientos de fertilizante nitrogenado, pero no han incluido el análisis foliar como criterio para el diagnóstico del estado nutricional. Objetivos. Establecer los intervalos críticos de los contenidos de nitrógeno foliar y el momento de muestreo más adecuado para proponer correcciones a la fertilización nitrogenada en café. Materiales y métodos. La investigación se desarrolló entre el 2008 y 2011. Se estudió la respuesta del cafeto a dosis de nitrógeno (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg ha-1) en un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con cuatro réplicas en suelos del orden Cambisoles. Los muestreos foliares se realizaron en las etapas de floración, fructificación, crecimiento del grano e inicio de maduración. Se determinaron las relaciones entre el rendimiento relativo y las dosis de fertilizante, así como entre las concentraciones foliares de N y el rendimiento relativo. Se estimó el intervalo crítico de contenidos de N (%) que permitió alcanzar de 90 % a 100 % de los rendimientos relativos. Resultados. Los intervalos críticos de nitrógeno (ICN) para rendimientos entre 90 % y 100 %, fueron similares entre años y localidades para la fructificación, aunque variaron entre las etapas fenológicas. Las mayores concentraciones foliares y el intervalo más amplio de estos (2,79–2,97 % N) se encontró en el inicio de fructificación, momento que se consideró más adecuado para corregir el sistema de fertilización empleado. Hubo relación entre los rendimientos relativos de las cosechas anuales y las concentraciones foliares de N para el cafeto robusta. Conclusiones. El intervalo crítico de N foliar en cafeto se estableció en la etapa de fructificación con una concentración de 2,79 %. El muestreo al iniciar la fructificación fue el más adecuado para valorar la corrección de la fertilización nitrogenada.

Abstract Introduction. The commercial introduction of Coffea canephora in Cuba occurred in 1930. Research on nitrogen fertilizer requirements has been conducted, but has not included foliar analysis as a criterion for the diagnosis of nutritional status. Objective. To establish the critical intervals of foliar nitrogen content and the most appropriate sampling moment to propose corrections to nitrogen fertilization in coffee. Materials and methods. The investigation was carried out between 2008 and 2011. The response of the coffee plants to nitrogen doses (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg ha-1) was studied in a randomized block experimental design with four replicates in soils of the Cambisoles order. Leaf sampling was carried out at the stages of flowering, fruiting, grain growth, and beginning of maturation. The relationships between relative yield and fertilizer doses were determined, as well as between the foliar N concentrations and relative yield. The critical range of N contents (%) that allowed reaching 90 % to 100 % of the relative yields was estimated. Results. Critical nitrogen intervals (ICN) for yields between 90 % and 100 % were similar among years and locations for fruiting, although they varied among phenological stages. The highest foliar concentrations and the widest range of these (2,79–2,97 % N) were found at the beginning of fructification, which was considered the most appropriate time to correct the fertilization system employed. There was a relationship between the relative annual crop yields and the N foliar concentrations for the robusta coffee plants. Conclusions. The critical nitrogen intervals of foliar N in coffee plants was established in the fruiting stage with a concentration of 2.79 %. Sampling at the beginning of fruiting was the most appropriate to assess the correction of nitrogen fertilization.

ABSTRACT The eviction of migrants from Plaza Brasil, in the city of Iquique, an act that was questioned due to the violence used by public forces, revealed not just the humanitarian problem involved, but also a turning point in attempts to normalize a process where cities have been altered by the exodus of migrants. This study looks into the impacts generated by the successive stages of migration within the Venezuelan migratory flow, one characterized by the great vulnerability of these migrants. Since the start of 2020, amid a health crisis and border closures, they have entered Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile by land using unauthorized crossings, to find better living conditions in these destinations. Here, the approaches which connect flows and transformations as responses to reproduction factors of global society, with those that conceive mobility as a “creative force” that interacts autonomously with these structures, are discussed. To this end, mobility in the historical centers of three cities located in border transit and entry zones to each country, where the interrelation in public space has been transformed and stressed, is explored, namely Piura, in Peru, and Iquique and Antofagasta in Chile. The results show similarities in the dynamics and transformations generated. Given the vulnerable condition of migrants, there is an increase in the occupation of public space, through autonomous actions of self-management and organization, as well as local resistance, demonstrating the relevance of mobility in modern society. All-in-all, it is recommended to adopt a differentiated agenda to understand the connection between migrants and places during the mobility experience.

RESUMEN El desalojo de migrantes de la plaza Brasil, en la ciudad de Iquique, cuestionable por la violencia de la fuerza pública, dejó de manifiesto no solo el problema humanitario implicado, sino también un punto de inflexión en los intentos por normalizar un proceso donde las ciudades se han visto alteradas por el éxodo de migrantes. El presente estudio indaga en los impactos generados por las sucesivas etapas de migración correspondientes al flujo migratorio venezolano, el cual se caracteriza por una condición de gran vulnerabilidad. Desde inicios de 2020, en etapa de crisis sanitaria y cierre de fronteras, estos migrantes han ingresado por vía terrestre y por pasos no habilitados a Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia y Chile, con el propósito de encontrar mejores condiciones de vida en los destinos prioritarios en este contexto. Se discuten aquí los enfoques que relacionan flujos y transformaciones como respuestas a factores de reproducción de la sociedad global, con aquellos que conciben la movilidad como una “fuerza creativa” que interactúa en forma autónoma con estas estructuras. Para ello, se explora la movilidad en los centros históricos de tres ciudades ubicadas en zonas de tránsito fronterizo y de ingreso a cada país, donde la interrelación en el espacio público se ha transformado y tensionado: Piura, en Perú, e Iquique y Antofagasta en Chile. Los resultados evidencian similitudes en dinámicas y transformaciones generadas. Dada la condición vulnerable de los migrantes, se observa un incremento en la ocupación del espacio público como resultado de acciones autónomas de autogestión y organización, como también de resistencia local, lo que da cuenta de la relevancia de la movilidad en la sociedad contemporánea. Se recomienda, en suma, adoptar una agenda diferenciada para comprender la conexión entre migrantes y lugares durante la experiencia de movilidad.

ABSTRACT In coffee agroecosystems, it is of much importance to maintain appropriate levels of nitrogen to guarantee stable and sustainable productions. In this agriculture type, it is fundamental to consider the insert of shade species that carry out the Biological Fixation of the Nitrogen like natural form of incorporating this element to the soil. In that sense, it was carried out an experiment in two coffee areas (Coffea canephora var. Robusta) of the East of Cuba, in Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa and Sierra Maestra mountains, with the objective of quantifying the production of dry biomass and content of two leguminous used as shade trees (Samanea saman and Gliricidia sepium) and starting, from those determinations, to estimate the nitrogen biological fixation by the total N difference method. The dry mass and N content quantified in the shade trees were superior to the valued in the coffee, due to the different behavior among the species in study, coffee dry mass oscillated between 1.23 and 1.75 t ha-1 and the shade trees between 2 and 3 t ha-1. The contents of foliate N of the shade species oscillated among 25-40 kg ha-1 and the coffee presented foliar concentrations of the element in appropriate ranges. The arboreal species present BFN between 20 and 55 %, that which transforms them into an important source for the contribution and recycling of the nitrogen inside the coffee ecosystems.

RESUMEN En los agroecosistemas de cafetales, es de suma importancia mantener niveles adecuados de nitrógeno para garantizar producciones estables y sostenibles. En este tipo de agricultura, es fundamental considerar la inserción de especies de sombra que realizan la Fijación Biológica del Nitrógeno como forma natural de incorporar este elemento al suelo. En ese sentido, se realizó un experimento en dos zonas cafetaleras (Coffea canephora var. Robusta) del Oriente de Cuba, en los macizos montañosos Sagua-Nipe-Baracoa y Sierra Maestra, con el objetivo de cuantificar la producción de biomasa seca y contenido de N de dos leguminosas empleadas como árboles de sombra (Samanea saman y Gliricidia sepium) y a partir de esas determinaciones, estimar la fijación biológica del nitrógeno por el método de la diferencia de N total. La masa seca y el contenido de N, cuantificados en los árboles de sombra, fueron superiores a la evaluada en el cafeto, debido al diferente porte entre las especies en estudio, la masa seca del cafeto osciló entre 1,23 y 1,75 t ha-1 y el de los árboles de sombra entre 2 y 3 t ha-1. Los contenidos de N foliar de las especies de sombra oscilaron entre 25-40 kg ha-1 y el cafeto presentó concentraciones foliares del elemento en rangos adecuados. Las especies arbóreas presentan FBN entre un 20 y 55 %, lo cual las convierte en una fuente importante para el aporte y reciclaje del nitrógeno dentro de los ecosistemas cafetaleros.

ABSTRACT Mesodermal origin tumors of the oral cavity and adjacent structures are an important part of stomatology due to the role that the oral cavity professional plays in the diagnosis and treatment of these lesions. Lipomas are benign neoplasms of adipose cells, extremely rare in the oral cavity. The buccal mucosa, tongue and floor of the mouth are some of the most common sites. The typical clinical presentation is that of an asymptomatic, yellow submucosal tumor lesion. Surgical removal is the treatment of choice, recurrence is rarely seen. A clinical case of lipoma on the tongue in a 60-years-old male patient is presented, which involves the dorsal aspect of the tongue at the level of the anterior third, diagnosed and treated at the Dr. Gustavo Aldereguia Lima General Hospital.

RESUMEN Se presenta un caso clínico de lipoma en lengua de un paciente masculino de 60 años de edad, masculino raza blanca, hipertenso y obeso. La lesión medía aproximadamente 2 centímetros de diámetro, comprometiendo cara dorsal de lengua a nivel de tercio anterior; es diagnosticado clínicamente y operado en el Hospital General Dr. Gustavo Aldereguía Lima de Cienfuegos. Se eliminó con buenos resultados la lesión; la cual aportó la novedad de su ubicación y forma. Se concluye que el diagnóstico oportuno y la eliminación por cirugía de este tipo de lesión es sumamente importante.

ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION : The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the organization and functioning of the health system as a whole; however, it has been less described the situation of Mental Health Services (MHS) during the pandemic. It is hypothesized that in addition to responding to the regular demands, MHS will have to respond to the needs of the population emotionally affected by the pandemic. The objective of this study was to characterize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the provision of MHS in Argentina. METHODS : It was a cross-sectional observational study. From May 8th to June 30th 2020,76 mental health workers from five jurisdictions were interviewed. Changes in demand, in the care process and in the structure of services were explored. The data analysis was mixed. RESULTS : There was a decrease in the availability of mental health services during the period studied. The demand changed and patients accessing services were more acute or critical. Mental health care was recenteredin neuropsychiatric hospitals. The therapeutic options were impoverished, with special affectation of group interventions. DISCUSSION : The situation of MHS shows the collateral impact of COVID-19 on the population's access to care for health needs not directly or mainly related to the COVID-19 infection.

RESUMEN INTRODUCCIÓN : La pandemia por la enfermedad por el nuevo coronavirus (COVID-19) impactó en la organización y el funcionamiento del sistema de salud en su conjunto; aunque es muy poco lo descrito sobre lo ocurrido en los servicios de salud mental donde, además de atender la demanda habitual, se debe atender a la población afectada emocionalmente por la pandemia. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar el efecto de la pandemia por COVID-19 en la provisión de servicios de salud mental en Argentina. MÉTODOS : Se realizó un estudio observacional transversal. Se entrevistó a 76 trabajadores de servicios de salud mental de cinco jurisdicciones del país, entre el 8 de mayo y el 30 de junio de 2020. Se indagó por cambios en la demanda, en el proceso de atención y en la estructura de los servicios. El análisis de datos fue mixto. RESULTADOS: La focalización de los servicios de salud en la pandemia implicó una reducción de la disponibilidad de atención en salud mental. La demanda de atención se modificó, con cambios en los motivos de contacto con los servicios, que pasaron a ser más críticos. Se observó una reconcentración de la atención en salud mental en los hospitales neuropsiquiátricos. La oferta de atención disminuyó y las intervenciones grupales se vieron especialmente afectadas. DISCUSIÓN : La situación de los servicios de salud mental muestra el impacto de la COVID-19 en el acceso de la población a la atención por necesidades no vinculadas de manera directa con la enfermedad.

ABSTRACT Plants of local cacao variety from Southern Bahia were evaluated in order to verify if there are different levels of resistance to witches’ broom disease in the study population and if the evaluation of adult plants in the field is a good predictor of these resistance levels. The seedlings were maintained under greenhouse conditions and inoculated with the fungus Moniliophthora perniciosa. Evaluations of symptoms occurred 60 days after inoculation. In the field, the same genotypes were evaluated by counting the number of dry brooms per plant, per year, and assessing trunk diameter size. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and averages grouped by the Scott–Knott test, differentiated by Tukey’s test and compared by Student’s T test. The Scavina-6 and CCN51 clones as well as the Catongo variety were used as resistance, moderate resistance and susceptibility patterns, respectively. Twenty-eight percent of the genotypes were among the most resistant and the genotypes 4119 and 4033 were considered the most susceptible to the disease in both field and greenhouse evaluations. Field evaluation was promising as a predictor of resistance level. The selected materials presented good characteristics for witches’ broom resistance, with different levels deserving special attention in the context of reducing the vulnerability of Brazilian cacao cultivation to the effects of the disease, especially in the cacao region of Bahia.

Abstract Introduction. Life quality is the state of well being physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and occupational that allows someone to satisfy appropriately his or her needs, either individually or jointly. Goal. Evaluate the data of life quality and physical activity in older adults living in nursing homes in between the suburban zone of the capital city Asunción. Materials and methods. Transversal descriptive study, the population of study was about older people living in nursing homes in suburban zones of the capital city Asuncion during the period of February-March 2015. The demographic data was measured, also the life quality index by the FUMAT scale and physical activity through the international questionnaire for physical activity IPAQ. Results. In total, we had 33 older adults’ participants from four nursing homes. The age average was of 74±7 years old. The 67 % were men. In between the dimensions that include life quality, the most disadvantaged aspects were the rights and financial situation. Most of older people (51.5 %) presented a low index of life quality. Any of them presented a high index of it. The lowest quality of life was observed in the elderly home; regarding sex, in women and in those who had reached the university level. Most of these older people were sedentary, presenting an average of 7 hours sitting down. Conclusion. The index of life quality is medium low. The aspects related to rights, welfare and the self-determination of adults are the most disadvantaged. They actually present no physical activity at all.

Resumen: Introducción. La calidad de vida es el estado de bienestar físico, social, emocional, espiritual, intelectual y ocupacional que le permite al individuo satisfacer apropiadamente sus necesidades individuales y colectivas. Objetivo. Evaluar el índice de calidad de vida y la actividad física en adultos mayores residentes en hogares de ancianos de la zona periurbana de Asunción. Materiales y métodos. Estudio transversal descriptivo. Se incluyeron a adultos mayores albergados en hogares de ancianos Asunción durante el periodo febrero-marzo del año 2015. Se recolectaron datos demográficos, el índice de calidad de vida por la escala FUMAT y la actividad física a través del cuestionario internacional para la actividad física IPAQ. Resultados. Participaron 33 adultos mayores residentes de 4 hogares. El promedio de edad fue de 74±7 años. El 66,7% eran hombres. Entre las dimensiones que involucran a la calidad de vida, los aspectos más desfavorecidos fueron los derechos y el bienestar material. La mayoría de los adultos mayores (51,5%) presentaron un índice de calidad de vida medio bajo, ningún adulto mayor presentó un índice de calidad de vida alto. La menor calidad de vida fue observada en el hogar de ancianas; respecto al sexo, en las mujeres y en aquellos que habían llegado al nivel universitario. La mayoría de los adultos mayores se encontraban con sedentarismo, presentando un promedio de 7 horas al día sentados. Conclusión. El índice de calidad de vida en la muestra estudiada fue medio bajo. Los aspectos relacionados al derecho, el bienestar material y la autodeterminación de los adultos mayores son los más desfavorecidos. Y respecto a la actividad física, esta era nula.

Abstract This paper presents the development of the first version of SEDEF, a free and open source software which proposes and solves a system of general differential equations that depends of two dimensions: spatial and temporal. These equations are proposed in a manner that they can model several physical phenomena. It’s worth mentioning that the spatial part of the general equations are solved by the finite element technique while the temporal part is solved by the BDF (“Backward Differentiation Formula”) method. These methods lead to the resolution of linear equations systems with sparse matrices. All the implementation is developed in C++ and the sparse matrices algebra is solved by the CSparse library created by Timothy A. Davis (2006). The software has an intuitive, easy to use graphic user interface (GUI) developed in RAD Studio XE. This GUI has three main modules that solve: heat transfer problems, in-plane Euler beam problems and mathematical problems which can be modeled by the generic unidimensional transient equations. Software validations are performed for each one of the modules by making the analysis of particular problems. Results obtained by SEDEF are compared with analytical solutions and results obtained by COMSOL Multiphysics, a commercial finite element software. The main purpose of SEDEF software is to provide academic institutions a tool that helps in understanding mathematics, physics and several engineering branches owing to the equations resolution and the friendly interface for preprocessing and postprocessing stages.

Resumen En este trabajo se expone el desarrollo de la primera versión de un software amigable de elemento finito gratuito y de código abierto llamado SEDEF ©, el cual propone y resuelve un sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales generales dependientes de dos dimensiones, una espacial y una temporal. Estas ecuaciones se proponen de tal manera que se puedan modelar diferentes fenómenos físicos. Cabe mencionar que se da solución a la parte espacial de las ecuaciones generales mediante el método del elemento finto y a la temporal por medio del método BDF (“Backward Differentiation Formula”), lo que resulta en sistemas de ecuaciones lineales con matrices dispersas. Estos sistemas son programados y resueltos en el lenguaje C++; el álgebra de matrices dispersas se soluciona a través de la librería CSparse creada por Timothy A. Davis (2006). El software está dotado de una interfaz gráfica intuitiva y fácil de manejar programada en RAD Studio XE, la cual permite tener un módulo exclusivo para problemas de transferencia de calor, un módulo para problemas de vigas de Euler en un plano y un módulo general donde el usuario puede adaptar sus propias ecuaciones constitutivas para problemas particulares unidimensionales. La validación del software se hace a través del planteamiento de tres problemas: uno matemático, otro de transferencia de calor y un último de vigas en el plano. En estos, la solución de SEDEF se compara con soluciones analíticas y los resultados del software comercial de elementos finitos COMSOL Multiphysics. El fin que persigue SEDEF es el de dotar a las instituciones educativas de una herramienta que ayude en el entendimiento de matemáticas, física y varias ramas de ingeniería gracias a la resolución de ecuaciones y la interfaz gráfica amigable para las etapas de preprocesamiento y postprocesamiento de resultados.

ABSTRACT Presently article the problems associated to the necessity of the development of the historical thought are approached in the initial formation of the educational one of philosophy in the University Foundation San Alfonso from Bogotá, Colombia, as tool that favors the articulation of the historical-social knowledge in complex and interdisciplinary perspective, and this way, to be able to think the society like an everything of becoming in a critical and coherent way. Therefore, it becomes necessary he/she prepared in this field to the educational of philosophy that is formed in this educational institution of superior education, allowing with this to the professional future to be thought likewise, to the society and the humanity in a conscious way and the most important thing, to feel main character of their paper like building fellow of history.

RESUMEN En el presente artículo se abordan las problemáticas asociadas a la necesidad del desarrollo del pensamiento histórico en la formación inicial del docente de filosofía en la Fundación Universitaria San Alfonso de Bogotá, Colombia, como herramienta que favorece la articulación del conocimiento histórico-social en perspectiva compleja e interdisciplinaria, y de esta manera poder pensar la sociedad como un todo en devenir de manera crítica y coherente. Por tanto, se hace necesario preparar en este campo al docente de Filosofía que se forma en esta institución educativa de Educación Superior, permitiendo con esto al futuro profesional pensarse así mismo, a la sociedad y a la humanidad de manera consciente y lo más importante, sentirse protagonista de su papel como sujeto constructor de historia.

ABSTRACT Pemphigus is a potentially deadly autoimmune disease causing blisters and erosions in the skin and the mucous membrane. The epithelial lesions are the result of antibodies reacting to desmosomal glycoproteins, and are present in the keratinocytes cellular surface. The autoimmune reaction to these glycoproteins causes a cellular adhesion loss resulting in the formation of intraepithelial blisters. From 80 to 90 % of the patients with vulgar pemphigus develop skin disorders, and 60 % of the cases show mucosa changes as the first or unique sign. The diagnosis of the lesions in oral cavity is essential because it could prevent the skin damage. If the treatment begins in an initial stage, it is easier to control the disease and the possibility of the disorder’s early remission and a better life quality increases. This is the report of the case of a female patient, aged 35 years, who presented ulcerated lesions in the entire oropharyngeal region, with itching sensation and inability for food consumption. The diagnosis was vulgar pemphigus.

RESUMEN El pénfigo es una enfermedad autoinmune potencialmente mortal, que causa ampollas y erosiones en la piel y en la membrana mucosa. Las lesiones epiteliales son el resultado de autoanticuerpos que reaccionan con las glicoproteínas desmosomales y están presentes en la superficie celular del queratinocito. La reacción autoinmune contra estas glicoproteínas causa una pérdida de adhesión celular, resultando en la formación de ampollas intraepiteliales. Del 80 al 90 % de los pacientes con pénfigo vulgar, desarrollan trastornos cutáneos y en el 60 % de los casos alteraciones en la mucosa que es el primer o único signo. El diagnóstico de las lesiones en cavidad bucal es fundamental, ya que pueden prevenir su afectación a la piel. Si se establece el tratamiento en su etapa inicial, la enfermedad es más fácil de controlar y aumenta la posibilidad de una remisión temprana del trastorno y mejor calidad de vida. Este reporte de caso mostró a una paciente de 35 años, la que comenzó a presentar lesiones ulceradas en toda la orofaringe, con sensación de ardor e incapacidad para la ingestión de alimentos. El diagnóstico fue pénfigo vulgar.

ABSTRACT Fusarium species are a group of fungi that cause superficial infections, locally invasive and disseminated disease, which occur mainly in immunocompromised hosts, and occasionally in immunocompetent individuals. We present three cases that show three different clinical forms of Fusarium spp. disease that affected different types of patients (patients with hematological malignancy, chronic kidney disease in peritoneal dialysis and post-surgical for osteoarticular pathology), each with its own characteristics that merit discussion. These cases show different clinical forms of invasive fusariosis caused by Fusarium solani complex species in patients with different pathologies and therapeutic management that could be risk factors for the development of the disease. The clinical recognition of fusariosis, not only in oncohematological patients, together with a timely diagnosis and treatment contribute to the success of the treatment and a reduction in mortality.

RESUMEN Las especies de Fusarium son un grupo de hongos que causan infecciones superficiales, localmente invasivas y enfermedad diseminada, que ocurren principalmente en huéspedes inmunocomprometidos, y ocasionalmente en individuos inmunocompetentes. Presentamos tres casos que ponen en manifiesto tres diferentes formas clínicas de la enfermedad por Fusarium spp., que afectaron diversos tipos de pacientes (pacientes con malignidad hematológica, enfermedad renal crónica en diálisis peritoneal y post-quirúrgico por patología osteoarticular), cada una con características propias que ameritan su discusión. Estos casos ponen de manifiesto diferentes formas clínicas de fusariosis invasiva causadas por especies del complejo Fusarium solani en pacientes con diferentes patologías y manejo terapéutico que podrían ser factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de la enfermedad. El reconocimiento clínico de la Fusariosis, no solo en pacientes oncohematólogicos, junto con un diagnóstico y tratamiento oportuno contribuyen al éxito del tratamiento y a una reducción en la mortalidad.
