RESUMO: A co-inoculação entre bactérias do gênero Bradyrhizobium e Azospirillum pode potencializar a nodulação e promover o desenvolvimento do sistema radicular da soja [Glycine max (L.) Merrill], contribuindo com o aumento na produtividade de grãos, além da redução nos custos de produção e contaminação dos recursos naturais. A utilização de cobalto (Co) e molibdênio (Mo), também pode favorecer a fixação biológica de nitrogênio. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da co-inoculação de bactérias associadas a aplicação de Co e Mo na cultura da soja. O delineamento utilizado foi de blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 2 x 6, na presença e ausência de Co e Mo e cinco formas de utilização dos produtos Bradyrhizobium e Azospirillum, mais controle, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram formados pela testemunha (não inoculada + 20 kg de N ha-1); inoculação com Bradyrhizobium na semente (100 mL ha-1) + 20 kg de N ha-1; inoculação de sementes com Bradyrhizobium (100 mL ha-1) e três tratamentos aplicando Bradyrhizobium + Azospirillum em sulco em diferentes doses. Foram avaliados altura de inserção da primeira vagem, número total de vagens e grãos por planta, massa de 100 grãos e produtividade de grãos. A inoculação de Bradyrhizobium japonicum associado a co-inoculação de Azospirillum brasilense via foliar e ao Co e Mo, proporcionou incrementos no número de vagens por planta, número de grãos por vagem e massa de 100 grãos, refletindo acréscimos na produtividade de grãos. O uso de Co e Mo, em média, aumentou o rendimento da soja em 10%, resultando numa produtividade média de 4904 kg ha-1.

ABSTRACT: Co-inoculation between bacteria of the genera Bradyrhizobium and Azospirillum can enhance the nodulation and promote the development of the soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] root system, contributing to the increase in grain yield, in addition to the reduction in production costs and contamination of natural resources. Cobalt (Co) and molybdenum (Mo) use can also favor biological nitrogen fixation. The research evaluated the co-inoculation effect of bacteria associated with the Co and Mo application in soybean crop. The randomized blocks design was employed, in a 2 x 6 factorial scheme, presence and absence of Co and Mo and five ways of using the products Bradyrhizobium and Azospirillum, plus control, with four replications. The treatments were formed by the control (not inoculated + 20 kg N ha-1); seed inoculation with Bradyrhizobium (100 mL ha-1) + 20 kg N ha-1; seed inoculation with Bradyrhizobium (100 mL ha-1) and three treatments applying Bradyrhizobium + Azospirillum in furrow, in different doses. Height of insertion of the first pod, total number of pods and grains per plant, weight of 100 grains and grain yield were evaluated. Inoculation of Bradyrhizobiumjaponicum associated with co-inoculation of Azospirillumbrasilense via foliar and Co and Mo, provided increases in the number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod and weight of 100 grains, reflecting increases in grain yield.The use of Co and Mo, on average, increased soybean yield by 10%, resulting in an average yield of 4,904 kg ha-1.

Sistemas autossustentáveis favorecem as populações microbianas devido à conservação e ao aumento da matéria orgânica no solo. Além disso, as plantas que fazem parte desses sistemas promovem o efeito rizosférico, por meio da zona de influência das raízes, que resulta no aumento da atividade e na modificação da população microbiana. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da rotação de culturas de inverno sobre sequências de verão, em sistema de semeadura direta, nos atributos bioquímicos (amilase, urease, celulase e protease) e químicos (carbono orgânico total - COT, carboidratos totais e proteínas totais) em solo rizosférico (SR) e não rizosférico (SNR). Este estudo foi constituído de três culturas de inverno: milho (Zea mays L.), girassol (Helianthus anuus L.) e guandu (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp), que estavam em rotação sobre três sequências de verão: soja/soja (Glycine max L.), milho/milho e soja/milho, e duas posições no solo: solo aderido às raízes das plantas (SR) e solo da entrelinha de plantio (SNR). As atividades da amilase, celulase, protease e urease no SR foram 16, 85, 62 e 100 % maiores do que no SNR; para COT e proteínas totais a diferença foi de 21 %. Das culturas de inverno, o milho foi a que mais estimulou as atividades das enzimas amilase, celulase, urease e protease no SR, bem como a atividade das enzimas amilase, urease e protease no SNR. De modo geral, os teores de proteínas totais não foram influenciados pelas culturas de inverno e pelas sequências de verão; os carboidratos totais foram influenciados pelas culturas de inverno milho e girassol. Para o COT houve influência apenas da sequência de verão milho/milho. Os atributos bioquímicos e químicos avaliados neste estudo podem ser utilizados como indicadores das alterações no solo promovidas pelas culturas de inverno e pelas sequências de verão.

Self-sustaining systems encourage microbial populations due to the conservation and improvement of organic matter in the soil. In addition, the plants constituents of these systems produce the rhizospheric effect through the influence zone of the roots, increasing activity and modifying the microbial population. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of winter crop rotation and summer crop sequences in a no tillage system, based on biochemical (amylase, urease, cellulase, and protease) and chemical (organic carbon, total carbohydrates, and total protein) characteristics in rhizospheric (SR) and non-rhizospheric soil (SNR). Three winter crops were studied: corn (Zea mays L.), sunflower (Helianthus anuus L.), and pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp), in rotation with three summer sequences: soybean/soybean (Glycine max L.), corn/corn, and soybean/corn. Samples were taken from soil adhering to the plant roots (SR) and from in-between the rows (SNR). The activities of amylase, cellulase, protease, and urease in SR were 16, 85, 62, and 100 % higher, respectively, than in SNR. For total organic carbon and total protein, the difference was 21 %. Of the winter crops, corn stimulated higher amylase, cellulase, protease, and urease activity in SR, as well as amylase, protease, and urease activity in SNR. The winter crops and the summer sequences did not affect total protein levels. The total carbohydrates were influenced by winter corn and sunflower crops. Only the summer corn/corn sequence influenced total organic carbon. The biochemical and chemical properties analyzed in this study can be used as indicators of changes in soil caused by winter crops and summer sequences.

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a produção de fitomassa de nove espécies de cobertura do solo e verificar as alterações na atividade e biomassa microbiana de solo de cerrado. O trabalho foi desenvolvido de março a dezembro de 2004, em Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico, sendo semeadas as seguintes espécies de cobertura: aveia-preta (Avena strigosa), guandu (Cajanus cajan), Crotalaria juncea, lablabe (Lablab purpureum), milheto (Pennicetum americanum), nabo forrageiro (Raphanus sativus), níger (Guizotia abyssinica (L.F.) Cass.), feijão-de-porco (Canavalia ensiformis.) e Crotalatia spectabilis. Uma área em pousio foi considerada como referência. Na ocasião do florescimento, determinou-se a quantidade de fitomassa e, a partir de agosto, parte dela foi acondicionada em sacos de polietileno, ficando no solo por 120 dias, para se avaliar a razão de decomposição. Durante esse período, no inicio de cada mês, foram avaliados o carbono da biomassa microbiana e a respiração microbiana do solo. As espécies mais promissoras para produção de fitomassa foram o guandu, milheto, feijão-de-porco e niger. O carbono da biomassa microbiana foi negativamente afetado nas áreas com resíduos de milheto, nabo forrageiro, crotalária espectábilis e naquela em pousio. Na área sob pousio, verificou-se a menor produção de fitomassa, além da redução no carbono da biomassa microbiana e mais perda de carbono, sendo esta prática não indicada para a região de cerrado.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the phytomass yield of nine species of cover crops of the soil and to verify the alterations in the activity and microbial biomass of Cerrado soil, in the State of Goiás, Brazil. The work was developed from March to December, 2004, being sowed the following covering species: Avena strigosa, Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria juncea, Lablab purpureum, Pennicetum americanum, Raphanus sativus, Guizotia abyssinica, Canavalia ensiformis, Crotalatia spectabilis and an area in fallow considered with reference. In the occasion of the flower phytomass yield was determined and starting from August it leaves of this was conditioned in sacks of polyethylene to evaluate the decomposition tax, being in the soil for 120 days. During this period, in every month, they were evaluating the carbon of the microbial biomass and the microbial respiration of the soil. The Cajanus cajan, Pennicetum americanum, Canavalia ensiformis and Guizotia abyssinica are shown as the most promising species for phytomass yield, while the Avena strigosa, Crotalaria juncea and the Raphanus sativus present the smallest phytomass yield. The areas under Pennicetum americanum residues, Raphanus sativus, Crotalatia spectabilis and the fallow affect the carbon of the microbial biomass negatively. Area under resting provided to smallest phytomass yield, reduction in the carbon of the microbial biomass and larger loss of carbon, being this practice no suitable for the Cerrado region.
