RESUMO Metais pesados são naturalmente encontrados em solos, mas suas concentrações podem ser aumentadas por meio de ações antrópicas. Objetivou-se determinar as concentrações de Cd, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb e Zn em Latossolos Amarelos de áreas produtoras de olerícolas, bem como a influência do cultivo e da posição no relevo dos solos no acúmulo desses elementos. Amostras de solo foram coletadas em cinco propriedades e quatro áreas com vegetação natural, as quais serviram de referência. O solo foi coletado nos terços superior, médio e inferior da encosta, nas linhas de plantio, e no topo, nas áreas de mata, em três profundidades (0,0-0,10 m; 0,10-0,30 m; e 0,30-0,60 m). Os resultados das análises químicas demonstraram que as concentrações de Cd, Cu, Mn, Pb e Zn nos solos foram aumentadas pelo cultivo. Apenas Cd e Cu estiveram acima do valor de referência de qualidade para Pernambuco. As técnicas de análise multivariada utilizadas foram eficientes para separação dos ambientes e para diferenciação da origem dos metais. Os solos nas áreas de mata foram claramente separados das áreas de cultivo, demonstrando o efeito das práticas agrícolas sobre os teores dos metais nos solos. A análise de componentes principais indicou origem predominantemente antropogênica (adubação fosfatada) para Cd, nas amostras de solo mais superficiais.

ABSTRACT Heavy metals are naturally found in soils, but their levels may increase as a result of anthropogenic actions. This study aimed at determining the concentrations of Cd, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn in Yellow Latosol from vegetable crops areas, as well as the influence of the cultivation and position in the landscape on the accumulation of these elements. Soil samples were collected from five farming areas and four areas with natural vegetation, which served as a reference. Soil was collected along the planting rows from three transect positions (upper, middle and lower sections of the slope), as well as from the upper portion of forest areas, at three depths (0.0-0.10 m, 0.10-0.30 m and 0.30-0.60 m). The results from the chemical analyses indicated that Cd, Cu, Mn, Pb and Zn levels in the soil increased as a result of cultivation. Only Cd and Cu concentrations were above the quality reference values for the Pernambuco State. The multivariate analysis techniques used were efficient at separating the environments and at differentiating the origin of the metals. Soils from forest areas were clearly separated from croplands, demonstrating the effect of agricultural practices on the metal contents in the soils. The principal component analysis indicated a predominantly anthropogenic origin (phosphate fertilizing) for Cd, in more superficial soil samples.

As Terras Pretas Arqueológicas (TPA) são solos que podem concentrar até seis vezes mais carbono orgânico que solos adjacentes sem horizonte A antrópico, presumindo-se, dessa forma, maior efluxo de CO2 nesses solos. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a distribuição espacial do efluxo de CO2, temperatura e umidade do solo em área de Terra Preta Arqueológica sob cultivo de cacau e café no município de Apuí, AM, Brasil. Foram construídas malhas amostrais nas dimensões 42 x 80 m, com espaço entre os pontos de 8 x 10 m e 6 x 10 m para as áreas de cacau e café, respectivamente. Após a etapa de coleta dos dados do efluxo de CO2, temperatura e umidade do solo, procedeu-se a análise estatística descritiva e geoestatística. Os resultados mostraram que os parâmetros avaliados apresentam dependência espacial, com alcance variando de 25 a 40 m para o efluxo de CO2 da área TPA com cacau. O efluxo de CO2 na área de cacau foi superior, com valor médio de 5,49 µmol m-2 s-1, comparado ao 3,99 µmol m-2 s-1 de CO2 da área com café.

The Archaeological Dark Earth (ADE) are soils that can hold up to six times more organic carbon than surrounding soils without anthropic horizons, thus assuming higher CO2 emissions from these soils. The objective of this study was to investigate the spatial distribution of CO2 efflux, temperature and soil moisture in an Archaeological Dark Earth area under cocoa and coffee cultivation in the municipality of Apuí, AM, Brazil. Sample grids of 42 x 80 m were set up, with space between points of 8 x 6 x 10 m and 10 m, respectively, for the cocoa and coffee areas. After data of CO2 efflux, temperature and humidity of the soil were collected, descriptive statistics and geostatistics analyses were done. The results showed that the evaluated parameters exhibited spatial dependence reaching a range of 25 to 40 m for CO2 stream ADE area with cocoa. The CO2 efflux in the cocoa area was higher, with an average value of 5.49 µmol m-2 s-1, compared to 3.99 µmol m-2 s-1 in the area of coffee CO2.

RESUMO: Atualmente compreender os fatores que influenciam as emissões de CO2 em ambientes amazônicos vem sendo discutidos com mais intensidade, devido o acelerado aumento nas variações climáticas (temperatura e precipitação) as quais influenciam nas trocas entre os ecossistemas terrestres e a atmosfera. Diante do exposto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a distribuição espacial da emissão de CO2 e atributos do solo sob campo nativo na região de Humaitá, Amazonas. Foi delimitada uma malha amostral de 70 m x 70 m com 64 pontos regularmente espaçados a uma distância de 10 m e georreferenciados. Amostras de solos foram coletadas em cada ponto da malha nas camadas de 0,00-0,05 m e 0,05-0,10 m, para determinação dos atributos físicos do solo e do carbono orgânico, totalizando 128 amostras de solo. Nos pontos de cruzamento da manha foram avaliadas a emissão de CO2, a temperatura e a umidade do solo, utilizando o sistema LI-6400. As emissões de CO2 na área de campo nativo nas condições do presente estudo são fenômenos de natureza complexa, não sendo possível identificar um único atributo do solo ou do ambiente que explique sua variação no espaço, indicando assim que uma dificuldade ao estabelecer relações entre os atributos do solo e emissão de CO2 ocorre devido à complexidade do fenômeno.

ABSTRACT: Currently understand the factors that influence the emissions of CO2 in the Amazonian environment has been discussed more intensively, because the rapid increase in climatic variations (temperature and precipitation) which influence the exchanges between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere. Given the above, the objective of this study was to evaluate the spatial distribution of CO2 emissions and soil properties under native pasture in Humaitá region, Amazonas. A sampling grid of 70 m x 70 m with 64 points regularly spaced at a distance of 10 m and georeferenced was delimited. Soil samples were collected at each grid point in layers of 0.00 to 0.05 m and 0.05-0.10 m for determination of soil physical properties and organic carbon, 128 soil samples. At the crossing points in the morning they were evaluated CO2, temperature and soil moisture, using the LI-6400 system. CO2 emissions in native pasture area in the present study conditions are complex nature of phenomena, it is not possible to identify a single soil attribute or the environment to explain the variation in space, thus indicating that a difficulty in establishing relationships between attributes soil and CO2 emission is due to the complexity of the phenomenon.

O conhecimento da distribuição espacial de atributos do solo, por meio da geoestatística, é importante como indicador para um melhor uso e manejo do solo. Este estudo objetivou avaliar a distribuição espacial de atributos químicos do solo, em área de pastagem e floresta, na região de Manicoré (AM). Foram estabelecidas malhas de 70,00 m x 70,00 m, com espaçamento regular de 10,00 m x 10,00 m, totalizando 64 pontos, e, em seguida, coletadas amostras de solo, às profundidades de 0,0-0,20 m e 0,40-0,60 m, sendo determinados os seus atributos químicos. Os dados foram analisados utilizando-se técnicas de estatística descritiva e geoestatística, e a densidade amostral determinada com base no coeficiente de variação e no alcance dos semivariogramas. Os valores da média e mediana se ajustaram aos valores próximos, indicando distribuição normal, enquanto os modelos esférico, exponencial e gaussiano se ajustaram aos atributos químicos do solo. Concluiu-se que a geoestatística forneceu informações adequadas para a compreensão da distribuição espacial. A área com floresta apresentou maior continuidade espacial e a área com pastagem menor densidade amostral. Os atributos químicos evidenciaram diferenças na variabilidade espacial, enquanto o alcance representou melhor as estimativas para a densidade amostral e espaçamento, na área de floresta e pastagem.

The knowledge on spatial distribution of soil properties by means of geostatistics is important as an indicator for a better soil use and management. This study aimed at evaluating the spatial distribution of soil chemical properties, in a forest and pasture area in Manicoré, Amazonas State, Brazil. Grids with 70.00 m x 70.00 m, with regular spacing of 10.00 m x 10.00 m, totaling 64 points, were established, and then soil samples were collected at the depths of 0.0-0.20 m and 0.40-0.60 m and had their chemical properties determined. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and geostatistics, and the sampling density analysis was based on the coefficient of variation and semivariograms range. The mean and median values were adjusted to the closest values, indicating normal distribution, while the spherical, exponential and gaussian models were adjusted to the soil chemical properties. It was concluded that the geostatistics provided adequate information for understanding the spatial distribution. The forest area showed a higher spatial continuity and the pasture area a lower sampling density. The chemical properties showed differences in the spatial variability, while the range represented better the estimates for sampling density and spacing, in the forest and pasture area.
