Resumo Este artigo apresenta outra história sobre a margem esquerda do rio Aquidauana, no estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, cujos protagonistas são os Terena que fundaram, em 1933, uma comunidade conhecida como Aldeinha. A história oficial do município informa que seu primeiro morador teria sido o italiano Vicente Anastácio. A narrativa não menciona a existência de indígenas na região e tampouco reconhece a atuação fundamental dos Terena como trabalhadores nas fazendas, nas atividades domésticas e comerciais e nas instituições do poder público local. O objetivo do artigo é apresentar uma síntese da literatura, das fontes orais e documentais acerca do histórico de fundação e da ocupação terena na Aldeinha, demonstrando-se assim o processo que levou uma aldeia radicada no meio rural a ter sua área gradativamente diminuída pelo avanço da urbanização e da sociedade envolvente. Por fim, apresenta a situação atual da Aldeinha e a luta pelo último hectare de que dispõem os Terena para a realização de suas festas tradicionais e eventos esportivos.

Abstract This article offers an alternative approach to the history of the left bank of the Aquidauana River, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The protagonists of this other history are the Terena Indians who, in 1933, founded a community known as Aldeinha. The official history of the municipality recounts that its first resident was an Italian, Vicente Anastácio. At no point does the narrative mention the existence of indigenous peoples, thus ignoring the fundamental role of the Terena as workers in the economic development of the region. The purpose of this article is to present an overview of the history of the Terena people, demonstrating the process that led to the gradual shrinking of the village’s area as urbanization and the surrounding society advanced over the past 50 years.

Este artigo versará sobre a relação entre a vida e o riso na filosofia de Henri Bergson à luz de uma breve reflexão sobre as suas possíveis contribuições à antropologia. Tomando os conceitos de intuição e inteligência, pretendo analisar o riso como modo de entendimento que estabelece uma assimetria epistemológica entre os "cientistas" e o "público leigo".

This article analyzes the relationship between life and laughter in the philosophy of Henri Bergson based on a brief reflection on its possible contributions to anthropology. Using the concepts of intuition and intelligence, I intend to analyze laughter as a particular way of understanding that establishes an epistemological asymmetry between scientific experts and the lay public.
